xiaolumi: sharing a mattress on a chilly night

happy valentines day !!summary: xiao invites lumine to join his team during a gamejam* since their previous artist dropped out last minute. some poor organisational skills lead to some great cuddles. tags: modern AU, uni AU, gamejam, gamedev!xiao x artist!lumine

* a gamejam, to put it simply, is a game-making marathon during which the participants focus solely on making a game. the criteria for the game depend on the jam and usually change up every time

this is Lumines first GameJam, and, to be completely honest, she’s here only for Xiao. he asked to join last minute since his team's original artist dropped out a few days before the event, and she agreed. after all, even if she doesn’t enjoy making a game, she will always enjoy her best friend's company, and some new experience comes as a bonus, too.

the first day went surprisingly great – everyone was very nice, Lumine befriended an artist from another group during a lunch break, her own team has a wonderful game idea that she’s very excited about, and she got to see Xiao working on something he’s passionate about. they do study together, but never has she seen his eyes sparkle the way they did when they talked about their game. sure, his face seemed neutral, but after being friends with him since they both were in diapers, she can see that little smile whenever he gets his hands on something he enjoys.

all’s well on the game-developing side of things, however, in their haste, they forgot to figure out the sleeping arrangements, so the team ended up with one less mattress than needed. Xiao, being the way he is, offered up his own to her the moment he realised his mistake, but Lumine is not letting that boy sleep on the floor and get a cold, or maybe not even sleep at all. they all will get their beauty sleep, one way or another.

– what if you two just share? i don’t believe you haven’t shared a bed before in all the years you’ve known each other! – and, honestly, Venti was absolutely right, they have shared before, even if it was quite a while ago.

the thought of sleeping together (literally, get your head out of the gutter!) with Xiao isn’t making Lumine uncomfortable, and the guy seems to be okay with that as well, so that’s what they decide on – squeezing together on the same mattress, under the same blanket. she wasn’t able to talk Xiao out of giving her his pillow, but it’s okay. at least he’ll sleep.

but, oh, the room was actually quite chilly, and Lumine was always prone to freezing even in relatively warm temperatures. as much as she tries not to shiver, lest she troubles Xiao, he knows. Xiao has learned to read Lumine just as well as she’s at reading him, if not better for the fact she is far less reserved than the boy.

– Lumine.

she almost yelps, getting jumpscared by Xiao’s half-whisper, hot breath right on her ear. when she turns to him, lying on her back now, with Xiao partly hovering over her, propped on one elbow, Lumine can’t help but blush.

her best friend is extremely attractive.

– yeah?

– you’re shivering. are you cold?

– sorry, i just, i didn’t think it would be that cold…

Xiao sighs, though, not unkindly. he’s quite used to her shenanigans, even allowing himself a small smile that he hides in the dark of the room. – come here?

– where? – she doesn’t get what he means at first, but when he lays on his side and opens his arms up, basically non-verbally inviting her to cuddle with him, she can’t help but ask. – are you sure?

– i don’t want you to catch a cold because of my poor management skills. – Lumine could swear she can see him pouting, but there are no light sources, and she can’t tell for sure. – just let's warm you up, okay?

Lumine hesitates only for a few moments, before moving closer to the boy, just as he puts his arm under her head for a pillow, and holds her close, just a little above her waist. – comfy?

and, to be quite honest, yes, she is very comfy. and so-so warm.

she lets him know that much. the only reply she gets from him is a quiet snort.

they lay in silence for a while, in a few minutes Lumine is all warmed up and cozy, slowly drifting to sleep, sleepily nuzzling into Xiao’s chest. – thank you, Xiao.

– it’s nothing. rest up now, we have a lot to do when we wake up.

– good night, Xiao.

– sleep well.

the kiss on her hair that followed was probably just her imagination.

I didn’t know that canonically Dionysus sometimes gets loose and presumably that’s when he has his kids. I always read it as his exile to camp was relatively “recent” in terms of him probably having been grounded in the like. Last few years before the story picks up. I had always assumed his current kids were born before that and so that also helps account for their low numbers (before Rick specified his stance on two being the best number of children or whatever that quote was from TOA)

Well, like most things we learn about Mr D in the books, it’s pretty subtle and mentioned like twice (bc Rick loves to torture me by adding lore and then not developing it further)

Before we look at that, we have to establish that, yes, his punishment seems to be recent. He’s given 100 years to be at camp, and in TLO he explains to Percy that Zeus cut his probation in half, leaving him with 50 years. Which would mean he had just begun his sentence in The Lightning Thief.

“[…] Zeus has cut my probation at that miserable camp in half. I now have only fifty years left instead of one hundred.” (The Last Olympian, p. 343)

But even so, there are a couple of ways he could have snuck out and had some kids.

Firstly, there’s the fact that the gods can be in multiple places at once, as explained by the wine dude himself in The Last Olympian:

“Your concern is touching. I did crash-land. Very painfully. {note: The gods feel pain…Interesting} In fact, part of me is still buried under a hundred feet of rubble in an abandoned coal mine. It will be several more hours before I have the strength to mend. But in the meantime, part of my conciousness is here […] Wherever there is a party, my prescence is invoked. Because of this, I can exist in many different places at once […]”

(The last Olympian, p. 266)

If we assume that gods at their full strength can exist more physically in multiple places, by dividing their “essence” or whatever, we can assume Dionysus would be able to sneak out by being present— seemingly automatically— wherever a party is happening.

It’s pretty much assumed (by me, I don’t think anyone else thinks about his exact whereabouts as much as I do lol) that he does this, or something else, because he is not gone very long in BOTL and TLO, and yet, in The Blood of Olympus, Dakota is seen talking to multiple Dionysus kids, which shouldn’t be possible, since yk. Pollux is the only camper (and should be in college by now but whatever, maybe he came back anyway or took a gap year, who knows) and even if he did take advantage of being away from camp in BOTL and TLO, his kids would be like, 2-3 at most and therefore not old enough to fight (I would certainly hope, although toddlers turning their enemies frantic and crazed is kinda metal ngl) So he must have had more kids before that….Or Rick forgot he killed Castor, which is hilariously possible.

“[…] Dakota shared Kool-Aid with the kids from the Dionysus cabin […]” (The Blood Of Olympus, p. 474)

(Stephanie Olive Overbaum canon confirmed. Its the only possible explanation lmao. If you have a Dio kid OC, you can’t prove they weren’t there. Huge win for the cabin 12 kids lmao)

So, he probably didn’t take advantage of his time away, if he did we wouldn’t know for another couple books, and Rick seems to have lost interest in ever elaborating on his character so we’ll probably never know.

Besides the splitting himself up theory, we have the possibility of him simply leaving lol.

He’s stuck at camp, yes, but the interesting thing is that he seems to be barred from entering Olympus, not so much that he’s barred from going anywhere else. He does leave camp in The Titan’s curse, seemingly without issues. Again, he could have split himself up, but since he’s able to make vines grow and all that, I’m assuming he was physically present. And he mentions paperwork in The Lightning Thief, if I remember correctly, so we can assume he has to file a report everytime he leaves his station to make sure he had a good enough reason to leave (Like a camper sneaking out, for example)

I don’t know how he would get around that one, but he’s sneaky, so I wouldn’t put it past him to sneak out and pretend to be doing something more important.

Of course, there are lines here and there suggesting he does leave every so often.

Ahem:

“As for Seymour, Mr D liberated him from a long island garage sale […]” (The Lost Hero, p. 88)

He couldn’t really have gone to a garage sale without leaving, again, yes he could have split himself up but that’s so easy and boring so I prefer to think he just fucks off and takes a day off here and there. It is a Long Island garage sale, so it’s not like he went far. Even funnier, we can imagine the camp went on another field trip and he came along, finding the garage sale along the way.

“[…] Our camp director, Dionysus, was recalled […]” (The Lost Hero, p. 20)

Ah yes, the recalled era. In HOO Mr D is not present, having been recalled to Olympus.

Technically, we don’t know where Mr D went in the time he was recalled, since we don’t know how exactly that period of time worked for the gods. We know they had no means of communicating, and that Zeus forbid the gods from seeking out their kids.

Even so, Aphrodite sneaks out and meets up with Piper. Athena/Minerva is out and about. Lots of the gods don’t hang around on Olympus the entire time. We’ve established Mr D is A. Sneaky (sneaks up on Percy more than once) and B. Doesn’t give any fucks that Zeus has told him to stay at camp (Garage sale) so I don’t think it’s unfair to assume he dipped and shrugged to Zeus like “I can’t help that I go where parties to🤷🏻‍♂️”

“Yeah but the gods had the headache thing going on, so he probably didn’t want to go anywhere”

I hear you say and you’re right BUT!

In between The Blood Of Olympus and The Tower Of Nero, we have zero clue where Dionysus is, and what he’s up to. Like nothing. We don’t even talk about it. He’s just GONE.

“After the fight with Gaea, I thought Mr. D might return to camp, but he never did. I hope he’s alright.” (The Hidden Oracle, p. 129)

And then in The Tower Of Nero he shows up and nobody discusses where he went.

Can you tell I’m peeved? I’m peeved. Where the fuck was he, Rick?

I don’t even have a quote to show you because no one mentions it.

Hmpf. Anyway. Then we have the interesting tidbit that Dionysus thinks two is the perfect number of children, although it’s important to keep in mind that he thinks this after staying with the twins, which would’ve had to have happened before The Lightning Thief, when he’s already at camp.

So, perhaps in the time of him staying at camp, he simply doesn’t have any more kids, since he doesn’t want to be further outnumbered. (*In canon, in fanfiction anything is possible)

I can imagine a lot of the gods deciding to cut down on their amount of kids if they had to help raise them for a bit lol so that’s actually fair.

Anywho….I forget what we were talking about.

He probably just sneaks out or splits himself up lol

Finished the 6.55 MSQ so here's my (very positive) thoughts:

‌Love love LOVE Wuk Lamat she's so fun and her dynamic with Erenville is hilarious. Very excited to see more of her in Dawntrail.

‌Krile is already getting some nice scenes and I'm very happy she's finally gonna get the spotlight in dt. My girls been side-lined for 4 expacs it's about damn time she gets to shine.

‌The inventor of Pictomancy is literally Relm. Like they name drop her. Obv not the same Relm as in VI but still! Relm is real! And she was an Archon! tbh them naming an important character related to this type of magic after her isn't surprising- I just expected it to be something in the job quests rather than the MSQ.

‌Zero made super-spicy dishes popular in Thavnair lol. Wuk Lamat trying to toughen it out was hilarious. God I love her.

‌Wuk Lamat & Erenville being childhood friends was not something I expected! Very fun.

‌The catboy from the dawntrail promotional artwork is probably Wuk Lamat's brother, Koana(Was that his name? tbh I forgot. But she has a Miqo brother that's what's important). He looks smart, and it's possible he's gonna be another candidate claiming for the throne.

‌Based on the artwork, I had figured our main group was gonna be WoL, Krile, Thancred and Urianger, as they are the only Scions featured, but based on the quest it'll probably be Wol, Krile, Alphinaud and Alisaie. G'raha is allegedly staying behind, but since he's shown in Tural in the trailer I think he'll find an excuse to come along anyway lol.

‌Thancred and Urianger are going to be competing against us, which will be interesting. I think it'll be fun to see some of the Scions take on a more rival-y role, if only for a bit. It looks like they were petitioned by someone else participating in the Rite of Succession, so maybe they're working for Miqo boy? They're on his side of the artwork after all 🤔

‌(Also I think the writers know how popular those two have gotten together lol they're like making it a point to have them with each other at all times)

‌Estinien is going to Tural just for the hell of it which I think is hilariously in character. Literally going there at the same time as us purely by coincidence. He really can't escape us can he.

‌Y'shtola is neither seen nor heard of which tbh I think is fair given how much screentime and focus she got during the whole Zero arc. I do wonder why she's going to Tural tho, she's in the trailer too so I'm certain she will be there.

‌(Also, since G'raha, Estinien and Y'shtola aren't aligned with any particular side as of now, I think they'll be a neutral third party in the Succession rivalries going on. That, or they'll end up siding with the 3rd sibling that isn't the Obvious Villain (based on Wuk Lamat and Erenville's accounts) somehow. Will be fun to see in any case.)

‌The little memory dialogue from Emet was nice :) just a reminder of the adventures yet to be had. Also he's finally in the unending codex which I think is nice (ngl I kinda forgot about the codex until he got added to it)

ALSO I almost forgot to include it BUT we have a nice heart-to-heart scene with G'raha alone on a bridge and if the writers weren't COWARDS (and/or worried about romance ambiguity, at least for those relating to the WoL) he could've proposed to us then and there. You know he wants you. Do not hold him back writers let him do what he wants. (I'd have said yes ofc)

“Alright everyone! Class is over, get out of my face!” 

Coach Vargas practically screamed from the middle of the field. You watched, sitting criss-cross applesauce on the freshly cut grass as your fellow classmates grabbed their brooms, walking and talking in groups on their way towards the locker rooms.

Maybe it was because the weather forecast advised sunscreen since it was over 80 degrees, or maybe you were just stressed out from other classes, but something made phys ed today much harder than usual. 

You were startled when the coach suddenly appeared behind you, placing a hand on your shoulder. 

“Your endurance is getting stronger, L/N,” He started. “But you still have a long way to go.”

“What do you mean, coach?”

“Well, for starters..” He removed his hand from you, taking a second to lift his arm and flex the bicep in front of you, as you raised an eyebrow.

“..You know, something many don’t know about broom riding is that most of your energy actually concentrates in the arms. You need to be able to balance yourself and hold onto the stick, y’know? And to be honest with you, kid..”

He pointed towards your arms.

“That’s something we need to work on, don’t we? Hit the showers.”

You shouldn't have taken that comment so seriously, coach was known for being pretty vain and shallow when it came to physical appearance. But unfortunately, he had a point.

You constantly skipped leg day and couldn't lift a dumbbell with more than 3 plates.

Though you were dwelling on it, you decided to try and put those negative thoughts away. Your next period was lunch, and you had even more stressful classes to deal with after that.

Lack of muscle was the least of your problems at the moment.

As you walked towards the cafeteria, lagging behind another random group of people, you spotted a familiar pair of fuzzy white ears in the crowd, walking the opposite direction.

You felt your eyes spark in recognition, immediately calling his name out.

"Jack!"

Jack's eyes widened, ears pointing up for a few seconds in surprise. He walked towards you, scratching his head. "Hey Y/N, what's up?"

"You know the cafeteria is that way, right?"

It was then you noticed the giant duffel bag slung across his right shoulder.

"I know. I'm not goin' to lunch."

"Why not?" You inquired.

"Decided to hit the gym at around this time from now on 'cause it gets way too crowded after classes are over," He said.

"So.. You're just not gonna eat anything?"

"Of course not," He scoffed. "I got a few protein bars and shakes in my bag. I'll be fine."

You hummed in response, you had totally forgot that working out was Jack's whole thing. As he adjusted his bag, an idea suddenly popped into your mind.

"Hey, can I join you? I kind of wanna try exercising for a little bit."

He looked at you, slightly shocked. "For real? You never seemed interested before."

"Well, I guess I wanna try something new today. How about it?"

He placed a finger on his chin in thought, before placing his hands on his hips.

"..Sure, I guess."

Before the two of you headed to the gym together, you each went back to your respective dorms to grab comfortable clothing.

You didn't know what exactly to wear, so you settled on an old tracksuit you hadn't worn in the seven knows how long.

When you walked in, there were obviously some people there, but you had strolled past them and followed Jack into the section where the bench presses and mats were, suddenly feeling nervous.

Jack very quickly got to work, setting his bag down next to a random bundle of equipment, and adding about 5 plates to the light dumbbell.

You stood next to him awkwardly as he leaned his back down on the bench, wondering if this came off as creepy.

He glanced at you as he sat the dumbbell to rest, raising an eyebrow. "You know, there's a set right behind you, right?"

"..Oh. Sorry, this is my first time here, I'm just kind of trying to figure out what to do through you," You blurted out, a wave of embarrassment washing over you.

You moved to the set he had just mentioned, which also happened to be directly across from his, grabbing pretty much the same amount of plates on the way there.

You held back a grunt as you held all of them in the palm of your hands, wondering what the hell Jack was eating to be able to carry this amount effortlessly.

You leaned back on the bench, trying to replicate the same position you saw Jack in as you curled your hands around the base of the dumbbell. Taking a deep breath and lifting it up, you were good for about 4.5 seconds.

"Fuck!"

The realization of how heavy the equipment was immediately crushed down on you, literally. You dropped the dumbbell on your stomach, curling up and holding onto your belly for dear life when the instrument fell on the floor.

You heard Jack get up from behind you to assess the incident.

"The hell happened?" He asked, placing his hands on his hips.

"I don't know how you do it, man."

He grabbed the dumbbell from off of the floor, sighing. "Y/N, beginners don't start with this amount. It's kind of common sense."

"It looked simple when you did it.."

"Yeah, because I've been honing these skills for years." Jack removed about 2 plates from each side of the dumbbell, handing it back to you on the bench. "Here, try to lift it now."

You nodded, proceeding to do as he said.

"..Still heavy, but do-able."

Jack smirked.

You spent the rest of your time at the gym attempting to try a little bit of everything with Jack at your side, teaching you what to do. You felt a little bit bad that he used up all his training time essentially babysitting you, but he assured you it was no big deal.

The only problem was that when your time to train together was up, every single part of your body felt sore. Even your eyes.

Jack let out a laugh, a rare thing, and slapped you on your back.

"This was a great sesh, wasn't it?"

You stumbled a few paces forward from the impact of his hand. "..I would say yes, but I still gotta go to my afternoon classes after this."

"Hah. You better get used to the grind, we're doing this tomorrow. And the rest of the semester, actually. Breaks are on weekends."

You stared at Jack like he had three heads.

"Don't look at me like that. We're partners now. No turnin' back," He grinned.

You awkwardly laughed in response, excited to hang out more with Jack and expand your muscles, but not too excited about the process anymore.

i don't even like jack like that but this was very fun to write. apologies again for the wait gang. -isa<3

i dont remember what i thought about dottore ngl, that was before i read manga, i only read the manga when sumeru happened because collei

but im just here to remind you of this since ive seen a lot of ppl fixate on him around sumeru (and inazuma because scara) which is natural since thats where he appeared in BUT. i am a HUGE fan of characters from all over interacting with each other. of alternate possibilities

and because if y'all are old players at this point youve probably forgotten unless youve given yourself a reminder (i know some ppl make different accounts or go through different servers so they can replay)

the Jedi did have powers of arrest but that was because they were diplomats and bodyguards. they were arresting assassins, corrupt officials, mercenaries, slavers and crime bosses (y'know, people who were actually actively upholding and profiting off of oppressive social conditions), not shoplifters or protestors. the only reason that they came under Senate authority in the first place was because they were actively attempting to prevent themselves from becoming too powerful.

they were also second-class citizens in many ways (unpaid for their labor, no rep in the Senate despite depending on it for support, etc). stop slandering minority religious groups.

also here to say that even if the Jedi were law enforcement, the purge was still a genocide. they had centuries (if not millennia) of history, art, religious practice, and other culture that's just been completely erased. not to mention that literal CHILDREN were slaughtered during knightfall. kids incapable of what you're attributing to them.

Gojo met Yuji when he was 17, Yuji was small, dumb, chubby and annoying but he was also so sincere

So kind, and so bright 

Everything Gojo knew that his world would sniff out and crush imminently

He was called to a mission around where the boy lived and barely prevented the stupid brat from eating the worst kind of poison in the world

He made sure to give the brat a piece of his mind, and in return, he was given the other half of his packed-up brownie. Yes, he took it. He was hungry, and he ate all the candy he had on him beforehand, so he was running a bit low 

He just owed him that's all 

A favor for a brownie 

Yuji wanted to go to the park and play, so Gojo took him, and they played. Why did this kid had so much energy?

Yuji wanted to go get snacks, so Gojo took him to the corner store and they got snacks

Yuji wanted to sit down and eat his snacks and get told silly stories, so gojo told him the many stupid pranks he's Pulled before, the craziest missions he went on when he didn't have a good handle on his own abilities It's not like the kid would even remember what he said tomorrow anyway.

Gojo didn't stop visiting, and Yuji never forgot what he said, holding onto every word with reverence

And the word held weight like it ment something, it wasn't like with Geto or Shoko this was different he loved the boy and wanted to protect him even if he had no obligation too, no reason other than 

"This boy is good and I want to keep him alive"

Gojo introduces Yuji to his friends one day, getting permission first from his grandfather to take him on a little field trip. He shows him around campus, his dorm room, he takes him around the city, and Geto even smiles that real smile he has when he truly is happy.

It felt so nice.

Then, the failed mission happened. 

He couldn't face Yuji he couldn't face Geto, trained on his own for days, perfecting what he unlocked so nothing could get that close again. He sees something is wrong with his best friend but can't bring his voice out to really dive into what's wrong.

So he leaves it be, thinking the other teen would get over it eventually. He surely has before about other things.

Yuji finds him, had rode all the way out from his home to Gojo campus all by himself. Gojo is grumpy about it, complains, and plays it over dramatic, so the boy giggles a bit dispute, saying sorry and actually meaning it.

But Gojo was also thankful. He's so glad to see Yuji again, even if he avoided him for months now. Geto Despite looking like he has not eaten or slept in days reminds him to call Yuji grandfather to make sure he knows where Yuji is since it was already too late to go and return him. Yuji spends and entire night and evening with Gojo, who just keeps the boy in his lap and lets him watch as many movies as he wants till he passes out.

Joyful screaming and flailing, talking put loud for Gojo to humm a response too.

Geto joins them, and for the first time in days he seems to fall asleep peacefully with the help of Yuji just being as he is. Gojo ends up being a bit more possessive of Yuji afterwords, Geto even seems to enjoy the boy's company more now than ever the only other person Gojo trusts to keep a good safe hold of him when Gojo needs to do things.

In a way Yuji seemed to save them, and all Gojo can give in return is hold a love he horbors in him that was completely inappropriate and not something he wanted to feel, but he cannot stop now.

He denies it and fights against it, never shows it past the regular care and love he usually gives Yuji.

He didn't want to ruin that.

Extra bits

Gojo totally freaks out over the fact that he fell in love with Yuji, who he is essentially co-parenting with Yujis grandpa how much he takes Yuji with him to do things with Geto. 

Geto still has this distance for normal people, but it's not too bad because he has yuji reminding him of the good Tho he is secretly trying to get Yuji to use CE so he can become like them but he suspects heavenly pacts because of Yuji unnatural strength.

When Yuji grows older he develops the biggest crush on Gojo, and everyone uses it as like blackmail the one thing that makes the strongest freez up and blush, well less like blackmail and more like a joke that they can finally laugh at this cocky guy. Yuji is Gojos' weakness, so as his best friend Geto makes sure to always keep Yuji protected with one of his curses, he won't admit it's cause he loves Yuji too and wants him to live a long normal life.

Yuji essentially has two scary dogs.

This ended up being a lot more angsty than funny like it originally came out to be when I was chatting in the goyuu server

Isa manipulated and gaslit Daryl to get him to escort her and Laurent. She apologised later but then She then started comparing him to his abusive father saying he was like him if he leaves Laurent to go home. She takes Daryl to people who are also trying to manipulate and gaslight him to use him as a protector/soldier, like Laosang says to Daryl he shouldn't go home because his family might be dead while he was away so he should stay with them. Isa is singing the same song. They don't see Daryl as a person only a commodity. Isa starts changing her mind about Laurent being a saviour and is prepared to go to America with Daryl. I would say Isa is like Carol prepared to do anything to save Laurent and that includes what she did to Daryl and there's a thing about vilifying female complex characters. But the way they write her is dumb there is no progression and I don't know if she is just playing Daryl to keep him onside to take them to America. She is a con woman before the world ended so I don't know if she cares for Daryl really and ended up liking him while pretending to at first.

Also Daryl is spiralling and he is starting to go into dark places. He doesn't do well alone and so he just clings to nearest person. This happens to be Isa

Isa is a nun and it's not clear whether she has quit it or not. It's not respectful to nuns who face fetishism already. The other girl who has a boyfriend was a novice but it was made clear she had turned away from the church at that point. Isa keeps acting like she was still a nun so I don't know. If she just stopped and said it was done, it still kept her faith that would be fine

It was a hot minute since I saw the show. Ngl I don’t really see her as evil for this. It seems it was mainly to get Laurent safe. Which isn’t really a bad thing, what she did was a means to an end.

it is shitty of course, she had no right to do that to Daryl. But still.

I forgot she compared him to his father though😕 That makes me really not like her. (Especially because I feel like Daryl would stay for Laurent just in his own account of not feeling like him. So her saying that is so shitty😞)

But I’m ngl her acting like this, kind of adds to my point. She’s trying to get Daryl to stay there and manipulate him, it working. Which is why Daryl stays there and all this stuff is really happening😭🙏

And the last point. I agree but I still don’t think they are TRYING to fetishize nuns. Especially because it’s Daryl who “falls in love” and Daryl who kiss her. Again it’s not clear to me that she likes him back. If she’s really manipulative Liek that then she could very well be lying. Also I would hope they’d address the issue like the did with the other (ex?) nun. (I’m Ngl idk how turning away works so I’m trying to be careful with my words here sorry)

Your heart beats violently against your chest, eyes widened in shock. This wasn't supposed to happen to you. You came in to get your recent shortness or breath and mean cough treated, but you walked out with a diagnosis of stage two lung cancer on your mind and a treatment pamphlet in your hands

When you told him, he thought it was some type of sick joke, but he soon realized that the downcasted look on your face would not tell a lie like this. Tears run down his face as he reaches for you, pulling you into the tightest hug you've experienced. You’re stiff like a rock, not responding to his affections. He apologized over and over again like it was his fault, but you just pulled back and said it was ok, that the two of you would get through this. And with red eyes and tight throat, he nods, believing you.

You didn't cry until the first clump of hair fell out. Long sobs fell from your body as you collapsed onto the bathroom floor. You called him, begging for him to come over with shaking hands. By the time you managed to calm down, he was already there, out of breath and a look of fear in his crimson eyes.

He went to all of your chemo appointments with you, saying, “Am I really your friend if I can’t come to keep you company in this depressing ass place?”

He ended up moving in with you to help you as you started to struggle more and more. He made you laugh in the morning as you sat on the cold floor, throwing up in the toilet. He was the one to shave your head when you decided that it was time, consoling you as you cried, mourning the person you once were. He was the one who surprised you when he showed up one day with a buzzed head – saying that it was time to get a new haircut anyways.

When the doctors told you that the chemo wasn’t responding, you smiled; not out of happiness, but out of readiness. You knew deep down that this would be the outcome. You were scared, but not for you.

He came home to see you throwing out your pill bottles. He was speechless as he ran to stop you, a horrified look on his face.

“ It’s done, Eiji”

He says no, a blank look on his face. He won’t let you say that with such a calm expression painting your face. He can’t just let you go yet, he just can't. You've spent your whole lives together, you can’t leave now. The two of you still have your whole lives waiting.

“The doctor said I have six months left at most..” You say, hot tears running down your face. He shakes his head in some kind of juvenile defiance. He refuses to actually think that you’re going to die.

He gently wipes your face, saying that you're too pretty to be crying. You laugh, the action hurting your chest – but you can’t stop, you keep laughing at his small gesture to cheer you up. 

He really is the bestest best friend you could’ve gotten

You tell him that you want to live the rest of your days out being free. You want to go to all the countries you bank account will allow. He just says yes, a wide toothed grin on his face.

The two of you travel everywhere; from Athens to Rio de Janeiro, the two of you went everywhere. The time the two of you spent together was spent in pure bliss, a smiling never you face.

But then you had to come back home, your lives waiting for you. You unload your bags onto the floor, the room dark. You turn the light on, a surprise of balloons and confetti surrounding you. All of your friends were here, for your birthday. 

Shit, you forgot about that – to caught up in your travels to keep up with time. They all surround you, Kirishima smearing a piece of icing onto your cheek. You just smile, genuinely appreciating the effort all your friends put in to deliver this unexpected surprise.

After everything was cleaned up and everyone was gone, it was just you and Eiji. You give him a sudden but strong hug, as if you gathered up all your remaining strength to let him know that you loved and cared for him. “Thank you for tonight, for everything actually.” You say, a deep sigh following after

“Anytime man, afterall; what are best friends for if they're not here to be here along for the ride?”

He beams, a sharp toothed smile decorating his face

“I really love you Eiji, I just want you to know that.” You say, a cough following soon after

“I love you too y/n, you're my best friend for a reason.” He responds, giving you a warm hug. He lets go, giving you a chaste kiss on your cheek, a vibrate grin on his face

“Goodnight Eiji, thank you for being here with me through all of this. I don't know what I would do without you.” You say, walking to your bedroom

“I would do it all again, I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”

A small smile graces your face as you close your door

He wasn't surprised when you didn't wake the next morning, a mournful look on him as he studied your features, still and peaceful. He doesn't know what you did to deserve this, tears racing against his now stained cheeks. He sobs next to you, angry at the world for taking you from him before you were ready – before he was ready.

You were such a kind person, being the first one who was there for anybody. You were the flower to his sun, a perfect mix of two people. He loved you so much and now you were gone, taken too soon from what you could’ve been, what you were going to be.

But in spite of it all, if nothing else; the two of you had sweet, sweet memories together.

daisycinder: one of those ships i don't quiiiiite get yet so far tbh? you sorta have to give me a premise to latch onto with it. that being said i am always for f/f rarepairs and this one is certainly possible, so yeah sure i'll accept that into my belief system. ngl though, as the years have gone on, ive only gotten further and further into my romance repulsed aroace cinderpelt headcanon, so this one probably isn't for me lol. i do love daisy getting a girlfriend though! i think she deserves a good time and an actual good partner after what she's had to deal with.

ferndaisysnow: well i like ferndaisy... and i have ferncloud and snowtail get together in my au (if his suffix changed. its because i forgot it sorry. ive been in and out of my au so far). so this is basically a match made in heaven tbh LOL. yessss daisy, get sucked into the nursery polycule!!!!! i like all of them being educators together and helping out with childcare. again, i like daisy finding love again and since she actually does have a canon foundation for polyamory (even if its.... weird and not well handled at all to the point id say its 100% unintentional) i think this works out really well.

hawkleaf: i made a whole au based on this one LOL. although there's a lot of stuff i'd change about it if i made it today, my feelings on hawkfrost have changed a lot and idk if leafpool is all that in-character here (although i guess she's not really in-character in any hawkleaf au. so whatever) but it's one of those pairings where i care a lot more about the storytelling potential and the parallels and symbolism or whatever, than i do about the pair as an actual couple. i think itd be similar to crowleaf where it would fall apart the moment things got serious. they are using each other as beards very very badly. like if it was played straight, like they genuinely had romantic feelings for each other and them not working out was a grand tragedy (like a certain other canon leafpool ship), i don't think i'd care for it too much. the meat is in the consequences! the drama! the horror! brambleclaw having a lot to lose in this situation too in a way that actually holds him accountable for his behavior!! (at least in my au) lionpaw being lured in by his biological father in the dark forest!! leafpool carrying her father's murderer's children!! there's a lot there!

briarvelvetjax: i like it :3 i don't have a ton to say about it bc i skipped around a lot on river of fire, especially the alderheart stuff, so i missed a good amount of the velvet and jax stuff tbh. but i think briarlight deserves a happy ending with these chill kittypets :3 and i like how she cucks alderheart in your post about them

i was only there for like 5 days but he's staying longer when he comes for my birthday and im too excited omfg. traveling is much more new to him than me since i've been to plenty of states but he hasn't left his state really so i get to show him new stuff hehehe i like that, imma show him the city!!

ME????!!??? u choose my weirdo NEET mentally ill and crippled ass to be yours forever?? ;w; i don't know how i found someone like him he makes me feel so safe and happy and genuinely cared about, he's everything i wanted and everything i didn't realize i needed, and to think we met as middle-schoolers on ROBLOX?? specifically in the robloxian highschool rp game (∘︎＞▽＜。) we had quite a long and intense roleplay over multiple days and weeks possibly we were hella invested, i forgot most of the plot tho my memory of back then is so blurry

we didn't talk for quite a few years because of my mental issues getting me put into places that kept me away from online too much sadly, but he never left my mind so in june of last year i finally messaged him again with the help of some alcohol and my friend saying DO IT DO IT DO IT and thank God i did. he replied pretty quick too because luckily he was still signed into his old account on his phone and he woke up to my texts at like 3am xD oopsies

im just so lucky to have him, i feel so unsafe so much for so fucking long and finally i have someone that gives me that sense of safety and security, i dont have to be scared or stressed i can just love and i love him too much and i'll do anything to have him forever. my journal rambling for today is fitting the theme of my yandere blog posts ngl (￣▽￣;) but i didn't know i was gonna ramble like this and i dont feel like logging out sooooooo this go here instead teehee

Had a rant about this the other day in a server we're in on disc, but, hate my source ending ngl (Tokyo Ghoul) sucks balls!!

Like, it ended right on the climax and ugh <///3, i've never. Kaneki did have the most banger, coolest transformation in history in TG, but, ahhhh!!!

Anyways, I think Ghouls are so cool 😁. The kagune is genuinely the most interesting thing that could ever exist and like it's so disappointing it's not a thing here <///3

Like I don't miss ghouls and the mass murdering they were causing throughout the districts, but, yk... yeah 👍
