          COFFEE BLOCKS THE FAMILIAR SCENT OF him; despite how many years have passed he still smells the same, still looks the same ( if not a little more weathered around the edges ). Luke had left a little while ago, he had obligations, a wife & a kid. More than they had, more than they ever would have, probably. It’s just the two of them now, almost alone in a corner diner. He’s got a cup of coffee, she’s got a cup of cheap tea. 

She’s staring at him & she knows he’s doing the same. She can feel him tapping his foot beneath the table, trying to paint a picture of her with his vibrations. It’s not loud enough, they both know it, but he won’t reach out & touch her like she knows he wants to like she hopes he does.

She should have left when Luke did but there were still things she needed from him. Answers, mostly. To questions she’s never been able to ask him & she’s scared to, but if she doesn’t ask them now she’ll always regret it if she doesn’t. Images of Skrulls flash through her mind -- she was so close, but so far from getting what she needed.
