pop rocks! a natural born dancer- she's little bitty but she knows how to move! a total sweetheart whose big into the 80s aesthetic

shark bait! total surfer dude,, he's not that great at flying but he uses his wings to maneuver when surfing! also passionate about marine animals, although he is still unsure of his path in life

sugar rush! basically a mini pinkie pie...has a massive sweet tooth and is already looking forward to one day owning sugar cube corner! also her design was gifted to me! <3

funfetti blast, sugar rush's twin brother! big ol nerdy kid,, got his cutie mark very young when he won first place at the science fair! fully supported by dash whose also a big nerd herself

Imo the better outcome would've been to have Tenji be a Carolyn/Ben child where Shiva was a mother figure after the David shit.

I totally agree, and I honestly think that might be where Brombal is headed with this tbh!! Although I actually have no clue whether timeline-wise that would work, we don't really see Carolyn being pregnant in the flashback issues but then again it could've been hidden for the reveal later on. I think being Carolyn's kid makes more sense + allows Shiva to not have birthed another kid (which I don't really believe she would've 😭). But we'll see where Brombal takes it!!

Bio:

Pappy has complicated feelings about her inception and existence being an affront to the laws of nature. 

Though it wasn’t always this way. When she was a little kid, Pappy used to idolize pony culture and Princess Celestia. This was when she was spending most of her time with Discord. Pappy would look forward to each visit she had with Celestia.

Things turned for the worst, when Pappy started going to school with the ponies she thought so highly of. She was treated differently for how different she looked from the other foals. She started to feel isolated from her peers, and this crushed her.

Pappy then went through a rebellious phase where she embraced her chaotic side, and started causing problems on purpose. If ponies are going to treat her badly anyway, might as well give them a reason to. 

In the current day, Pappy is out of that phase with the help of her best friend, Andante. Though she still has this underlying feeling that she doesn’t exactly fit in anywhere. Most ponies don’t understand her, and there’s more hybrids in Equestria than ever but she still feels like an outsider with them. She’s spent the majority of her life working through these feelings. She’s glad that she has her friends to support her through it.

Pappy would like to be closer with her family, but she has a lot of built up resentment for causing the way she is. They’re all a happy and supportive family together, but she didn’t feel that way growing up.

Powerful Qualities: Stubborn | Kind | Brave

Roommate: Opaline White. She’s nice, though a little sheltered? Naive? Whatever after she is, I feel bad for her.

Secret Heart's Desire: I just want to go back home, to the Dark Woods, to my father. I don’t even want to be here, why can’t these people understand that?

My "Magic" Touch: I can understand animals, which would cool…if I’d liked being woken up early in the morning by songbirds.

Storybook Romance Status: I’m not really thinking about romance right now.

"Oh, Curses!" Moment: I’m never early for things, always there just a few minutes before the clock strikes.

Favorite Subject: Grimmnastic, the only ‘unladylike’ class I’m allowed to take as a damsel. If I could, I’d go with archery, I’m a really good shot.

Least Favorite Subject: Damsel in Distressing. Grimm! I can’t even pretend to faint right.

Best Friends Forever After: I haven’t really thought of them as friends since we’re all kind of trapped in the same situation, but I guess Sunny Lockes is a cool guy, and so is Eden Beauty.

Facts About Fauna:

After her mother was killed during the war, Hunter took her and hid themselves in the Dark Woods to avoid any more bloodshed. He already lost his wife, he wasn't about to lose his daughter too.

Fauna is a ‘mixed’ meaning she has two different destiny bloodlines in her (similar to Cerise Hood who had both the Destiny bloodlines of Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf).

Close to her father as he taught her how to live in the woods and survival skills in case something happened to him. As a child, he made her little wooden toys for her to play with.

Fauna was kidnapped from her home to attend her Legacy Year and pledge her destiny. Her first night at Ever After High she tried to escape and failed spelltaculary.

She has no intention to actually pledge and has been working with her friends to find some kind of loophole (legal or magical) around their destinies.

Due to her alleged destiny as the next Cinderella, people call her Fauna Ella which annoys her greatly.

While technically a Rebel, she doesn’t agree with the methods the Rebellion took which resulted in the war, leading to bloodshed, conflict and the death of her mother.

She is a vegatarian like the rest of her family.

She is a lesbian, conflicting with her destiny to be with a Prince Charming (which she does not actually give a fairy #&#$& about)

Fauna tries to get along with her roommate, Opaline White, as she is nice enough, though she is the headmistress’ daughter. Fauna isn’t sure what side she stands, so she’s keeping her distance.

She dislikes her fairy godmother, Celeste Goodfairy, who seems to have it in her head that she knows what is best for Fauna (she does not).

Fauna doesn’t really care for her ‘stepsisters’ (her father never remarried so they’re not really her stepsisters) and ignores their attempts to make her their servant.

She hates Lilith Queen and Lilith hates her for multiple reasons (being a huntsman, thwarting her assassination attempts on her roommate, talking back to her etc).

The idea of this series came along when rereading my next-gen stuff and realizing that I had a lot of super cool ideas in my head, especially for an epic finale. I know that I'm probably not going to finish a linear story, so I wanted to share what I had in mind so it's not stuck in my head forever. I also wanted to share so I'm able to explore some ideas with the added context of what I had in mind. You can read the whole summary in the link above!

Starlight Glimmer had accompanied Trixie to a Washouts performance. She found it underwhelming, and honestly was more interested in how this show was allowed to happen unregulated than any of the tricks. Feeling nosy, Starlight sneaks back stage and strikes up conversation with one of the Washouts.

Lightning Dust was…charming? Alarmingly charming. Starlight was quickly smitten and Lightning asks her out. The two date on and off for a couple months…until Starlight gets pregnant. When she tells Lightning Dust, Lightning Dust is quick to break up with her. Starlight is left to raise her twins, Candlelight Cinders (she/her) and Skylight Smoke (they/them). While she does have help from friends and her father, she can’t deny that she still feels a bit lonely at times.

A couple years later, Starlight is in Canterlot helping Princess Twilight Sparkle with a diplomatic mission. After a successful negotiation between the griffins and dragons, the two head to Donut Joe’s bakery for a celebratory treat. Joe forms a crush on her, and he and Starlight maintain a long distance relationship via letters. She occasionally sees him when she’s in Canterlot, and for a moment it looks like life is looking up.

When she gets pregnant again, Starlight and her twins move to Canterlot so her third child could be close to his father, with Trixie taking over her position as vice principal at Twilight’s school. The third and final kiddo, Cardamom Morning Bun (he/him), is raised by both his parents. While Starlight and Donut Joe never formally marry or move in together, the two stayed together for the sake of Cardamom. Starlight works as a private tutor, though the stress of a new job and new city takes a toll on her and Donut Joe’s relationship. The two break up, but vow to get along for the sake of their son.

Candlelight Cinders (queer, she/her) | 24 years old

- Special talent is crystal magic

- Calm, collected, introspective. Great at solving problems and settling disagreement

- Very nosy, involves herself in drama that she probably shouldn’t

- Runs a store in Canterlot that sells crystals, tarot cards, etc.

Skylight Smoke (graysexual, they/them) | 24 years old

- Special talent is making stained glass windows

- Loud, boisterous, a party animal. They sleep at odd hours and has started at least one bar fight lol

- Because of how delicate the material is, stained glass making is the one the things that helps calm them down.

- A member of Grasshopper’s roller derby team

Cardamom Morning Bun (straight, he/him) | 21 years old

- Special talent is luck magic

- Intelligent and reserved, more or less a stereotypical nerd

- Was accepted into Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, but was relentlessly teased for his father being lower class.

- Decorates desserts to relax, he’s not the best at it but he’s happy with it.

Aida Shane - 17

First born daughter of Sarai and Twist! She is very much a daddy's girl and everyone loves her. Aida is very level minded, able to be calm at all times. She is laid back but not in a lazy way, she just goes with the flow, able to think quickly on her feet when needed. Sarai would describe her as a serene sea: calm but a force of nature when stirred.

Thalia Shane - 12

First born of the twins. She is a natural leader, often dragging her brother behind her by the hand so he doesn't wander off as he observes his every surroundings. Also a daddy's girl, often asking him to braid her hair and tell her stories of how he met her mom. Quiet yet energetic, she wishes to be as elegant as her sister which is kind of hard when she loves to get her hands dirty. She adores her uncle Eli and looks up to him!

Theodore 'Theo' William Shane - 12

Theo is the second born of the twins. Not a leader but not quite a follower either, he prefers to explore his surroundings on his own, finding new slugs to befriend and bring home everyday (he cannot keep them though). He adores his mother and looks up to her greatly, he wishes he could be like her one day, strong-willed and so so cool! .

Bio:

First of the Dislestia kids to be born the old fashioned way, and the middle child. Ennui is a shut-in and hermit, and the majority of Equestria didn’t know she existed until her younger brother was born. She’s incredibly reserved, and usually doesn’t show any emotions at all. She does have emotions, but she just doesn’t express them. Ennui is very good at controlling emotions as well, and keeping a cool head. Ennui is more logically oriented. She is also very empathetic to others and always wants to do what’s in the best interest for them, but not in a malicious way.

Despite not having horns, unicorn or otherwise, Ennui is still able to do magic. Though she is much more skilled at flying than casting spells, not that she ever shows off that skill.

After Pappy expressed that she wanted nothing to do with ruling or being a princess, Ennui was given the responsibility of being the successor for Celestia as ruler of Equestria, if she ever decides to step down. Ennui spends most of her days being tutored with all the information she needs to be the best princess she can for Equestria. She doesn’t resent her sister for dumping all this responsibility on her. The two sisters were never close enough for Ennui to form any strong opinions on her. Having a seven year age gap between them, it’s also not like Ennui had the chance to.

Ennui doesn’t really have any friends, and doesn’t mind. She’s able to spend time with her tutors and family, and that’s enough for her. Overall Ennui has neutral feelings about most things, though she is drawn to the more dark and macabre.

Facts about Lilith:

Daughter of Raven Queen.

Raised by her grandmother after her mother had been captured and imprisoned in an unknown location (only a few select people know the prison’s location).

Doesn’t know who her father is and does not care about him.

Raven originally named her Lily Queen, but the Evil Queen had her name changed to Lilith to make her granddaughter more intimidating.

Has her grandmother hair color (from the Class of Class-ics book) with some lavender strands.

Lilith actually used to be a sweet little girl but after her mother was imprisoned and her grandmother took her in, she just changed for the worse.

Has no interest in ‘defying destiny’ like her mother did, instead she embraces her destiny fully…though she embraces a little too much.

Rarely lets people get close to her or makes friends with anyone she doesn’t find useful for.

She’s already tried to poison/curse/assassinate Opaline White multiple times claiming she’s just getting a head start on her destiny.

If it wasn’t for a persistent Fauna, her plans would have succeed.

Top student in all of her villainous classes, much to Professor Thorn’s annoyance (Her grandmother is so proud).

She plots to do what no other villain had ever achieved…Have evil win in her story.

Has various spies to monitor certain key players at EAH.

Lilith is a lesbian and has no interest in a Good King, though a Good Queen she’s all too interested in finding.

She and Fauna have despised each other from the first day they met. Though Lilith is one of the only few outside of her friends who calls her Fauna Huntsman rather than Ella so maybe she respects her in her own weird way?

(The too tight shoes part is a reference to how the Grimm’s version of the Evil Queen died, by being forced to dance in hot iron shoes at Snow White’s wedding).
