Auntie Shy and her mirror Niblings

Was nostalgically doodling down headcanons and fanfictions I'm not making and decided to make art of an AU fic I never made where the Mane 6 go into a mirror world into an Equestria where neither they nor the Elements exist and so Discord and Celestia married and had four chaos-babies.

Fluttershy gets along with altDiscord's kids because of course she would. The kids names btw are Rhyme, Reason (the twin girls who share a body) Hodgepodge (who has eight horse legs) and Obsurdity (who's eyes and cutiemark are in the opposite place and has wings where her tail should be. Her head is in Fluttershy's arms, hiding her face with her mane, ears and cloak she wears around with her).

Princess Mirage Desire

"Princess Mirage Desire, or simply Princess Mirage, is an Draconequus and Alicorn hybrid individual and the daughter of Princess Celestia and the chaos lord, Discord.

Being a offspring of a Draconequus and a Alicorn, Mirage is probably one of the most powerful magic being in Equestria. Although having a good control over it, her magic is extremely chaotic, having the capability to use chaos magic just as effectively and powerful. Mirage was very sheltered as a child, as Celestia and Discord knew she had the potential to be EXTREMELY dangerous (especially as a foal). She spent most of her childhood at home in the castle or in Chaosville learning to control her power. She is depicted as a wild card which have multiple personalities. However, she is usually nice, cunning, and witty. She loves mischief but knows when she is going too far. Lover of fun and everything mentioned before. Mirage is well known to be a bit lazy and will often use her title as princess to get away of doing certain things or events. Although she does tend to abuse her power as a princess every once in a while, she is actually very down to earth, as her mother."

It's been a long time since I wanted to redesign Mirage with characteristics that were more hers than her parents', since, in the past, her design was much more based on characteristics literally taken from them. So I finally came up with a relatively decent redesign. And to avail, I'm here to introduce it for the first time here ✨

In this image she is not with her CM cause I have plans to remake it but i'm not sure when exactly it'll be planned and finished, so until then, she will not have her CM

Why I like Dislestia

• The god and goddess theme is dripping with that type of old majestic drama that I love - think old flame film-noir in some ways, a look into the thousand-year lore of Alicorns and other demigod-races

• Forbidden love and foe-yay, the consequences of love between two powerful, ancient enemies

• Color coordination, they are both colorful in very different ways

• Besides the age gap with Fluttershy, the greater concern in essence I’d say is I really just don’t like how Fluttercord has always made Discord out to be juvenile - he’s a god of chaos, he’s ancient and a trickster, not a moron that needs babysitting

• It feels more, dare I say, harmonious, like he barely gives anything in Fluttercord besides trouble - but in Dislestia, he can give that sense of freedom and young-love Celestia may be missing in her life as royalty (especially in addition to being an immortal deity with no one able to keep up with her)

• Dislestia just presents his character with more dignity, in the little time we had of that, the Beauty-Beast thing with Fluttercord makes him seem like a young kid not fit for his powers like the Beast, that he doesn’t know how friendships work, when I much prefer the idea that he DOES know considering his skills in manipulation and conquest (he just refuses to or doesn’t care to)

• We needed so much more Dislestia scenes, my god more slow-burn development would’ve been fantastic :(

• Dislestia sounds like dyslexia and that’s the winning reason

ETA: all comes down to preference of course; Dislestia ultimately just follows Discord’s characterization and development a lot more consistently

For me, Dislestia is the bestia. But Twicord/Dislight kinda works too ngl, the do be working off eachother a lot
