I cannot cope with the fact that Newt died in Thomas' embrace. Like he ran at Thomas knife in hand and Thomas took him into his arms and held him— possibly for a moment to regain his composure and hold his "best friend" before they'd have to fight again— only to pull away only to see that damn knife. (THOMAS' KNIFE, BY THE WAY, THAT NEWT TOOK TO REMEMBER HIM BY) (i think)

"Please Tommy, please." was of course devastating but every little line of dialogue during that scene was earth shattering. Thomas begging, Newt apologizing, Thomas reassuring him again and again my GOD. And the way they grabbed at each other when Newt's mind came to briefly?? Thomas' face when he pushed away the gun; like he couldn't even believe Newt thought about it. MY GOD MY GOD MY GOD.

I think it was Thomas Brodie-Sangsters idea to spice up Newt's death and I will never EVER forgive him. Though I don't think I could've handled it if the books dialogue were adapted into the film. Seriously the book version messed me up... like bad. my god.

If I had a nickel for every time Dylan O'Brian ends up in a ship where:

1) the love interest slams him against the walls

2) the love interest chases him when Dylan's character runs into danger

3) he holds up his love interest and helps him escape from danger

4) he ends up with the love interest hurt and with black veins from of a not natural "poison"

5) he and the other actor go along with the idea of the ship

6) the ship is not officially canon but still it's the most famous ship of the show (despite his being in a canon straight relationship)

I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

Like dude that boy is so very in love he's reached that I don't care whatever happens to me as long as you're ok phase

Just a friendly reminder in Crank Palace ( the book where it showed Newt's perspective on what happened when he was missing in Death Cure) he remembered what happened before the maze. He remembered all his friendships, his sister, and his parents. But his dying thought was " Tommy, Newt thought. Tommy will understand" And I'm just saying that's a little gay

kinda want a fic where newt opens up to thomas post canon about his jealousy. wishing he was the one thomas could telepathically communicate with. hoping thomas would have eyes for him when newt’s always kept his focus on the other boy. but he feels like he’s the one following thomas’ footsteps, knowing that he might never catch up to thomas’ side like others have been able to effortlessly do.

he mentions how it drove his bitterness towards teresa, towards aris, towards anyone who thomas had somewhat of a connection with - because he wished it could be him in that spotlight. newt knew it was wrong, and that these people did nothing wrong, but the pain in his heart was too unbearable to ignore.

he needed the cure - he needed thomas.

Suddenly have a Newtmas memory loss AU idea:

What if Newt’s swipe malfunctioned, resulting in him regaining all the memories before he was sent to the maze, but lost all the memories after entering the maze. Thomas on the other hand, remains the same with canon.

Or… It happened to Thomas instead. Either way, they ended up having completely different halves of their memories.

There’re so many possibilities. One of them would have all the good and bad pre-maze memories return, but many important current memories would now be missing. Aside from the mind-blowing revelations, the timing can also make a big difference (depending on whether the incident occurred in the maze, the scorch, the last city, or the safe haven)

How would they put back the missing piece together? How would this affect the storyline?
