➳For my readers, I wanted to share with you the aesthetic of what you'd find in my story. I was tempted to put more together but that would just make the pictures tell the story instead and I did not want that! What aesthetic is your favorite?

“You'll always be the stubborn child of a loving mother.” It was a refrain he heard ad nauseum as a little boy. He’d come by the intransigence honestly if the errant whispers regarding his father had been true. To many Detective Odell Golson had been something out of well-written pulp fiction, a hard-nosed cop with a heart of gold and an unrelenting tenacity for helping those down on their luck. It irked him sometimes that his brand of stubbornness hadn't graduated to that. There were instances where this irritation was assuaged by how much of his father's good looks he had inherited. Based on what the pictures could say, the two men shared a comparable depth of color, angular faces, and prominent noses. Where they differed had been in negligible places. Odell favored how a full beard added to the tapestry of his facial features. At twenty-six, Laurent Golson had settled on a trimmed goatee. A telltale sign of his deep thinking or blatant annoyance had grown to be dragging his right hand across it. His mother had caught on to this nervous tic much quicker than most, even calling him on it a time or two.

Between the blood-bound men there existed a difference of styles where their tresses were concerned as well. The elder kept his hair cut close, favoring waves as an aesthetic alongside the beard. Laurent hadn't subscribed to that. Since the day he had been able to decide what to do with it if his own volition, he had worn his somewhat longer. His taper and faded edges had always been impeccable but the curls atop added something for him. Sometimes he laughed to himself when he remembered his mother talking about his ‘getting that wool on his head cut down’ as a kid. Any mention of wool invariably brought to mind the Bible and the description of Jesus’ hair. Because the two men were often unaffiliated, this comparison was a fallacy to be sure.

To be fair, he thought, both did associate more with the sinners.

Reflections - Synopsis

I am a regular, shitty, but pretty fucking awesome human,

I’ve seen things of beauty, and some damn right gruesome,

A young (ish) woman, who has fucked up a lot,

So imagine how many of life's lessons I've got.

Though I have been humbled, on several occasions,

The resilient idiot I am, just cracks on, bruised and brazen.

Still fucking up, of course, from time to time,

Though I do hope to make it, a less frequent habit of mine.

This novel ere, is a wanky catharsis for me,

A place to swaddle my self-doubt, in prose and to be.

I have lived many lives, of inconvenience and indulgence,

Not always have I thrived, but I can boast experience.

With failures to toast and wins to boast,

I do hope my words, will keep you engrossed,

I’ve circled the ditch and been in some scraps,

Situations from which, I thought I’d never come back.

What I can offer now, is a unique perspective.

And at the very least, you can read,

How not to do what this twat did.

The Daughters Of Mortem

I am absolutely excited and happy to introduce you all to a book I am currently drafting; The Daughters of Mortem. This project of mine has been something I've been working on for quite some time now, but with nowhere near being finished lol. I'm hoping to write more and post here, as I believe it would help me feel more encouraged to have a goal of posting it here for you all. I truly hope this story captures your interest. As I know right now fanfics have been the top seller to readers, I hope mine is as easily sold to you as those you've read. On top of posting the chapters here, I will be adding OG-designed characters in time so my readers, you, can have a better visual of the story itself as well as its characters and atmosphere. And in time, have an official cover for it created as well. I have high hopes for this and I truly believe uploading it here will help me not only hear some feedback and opinions from you but also get the wheels moving on the plans I have for it. So to end this post I just want to thank the ones who find this story and stick around to read it, more if you do end up loving it. Thanking you ahead for the support and feedback, I love you all!
