my hc is that Dominic's parents were religious religion is present in TSM, and they were Jacobans whose religion is based on the fact that the Watcher is vengeful and merciless and thus must be feared and appeased by submitting to a strict moral code, lest It decide to punish them in ts2 psp Ophelia lives in an abandoned meetinghouse and I think that's where little Dominic could go pray with his mother therefore, Dominic was ALWAYS afraid of the watcher, but it was shortly before ts2psp that he realized that he was being controlled

For Tycho, Sophie is that rich (in reality, Sophie is not rich at all) and cool aunt who says: "I remember you when you were very little!"

15. The weirdest glitch I've ever encounter?

Oh boi... My games have a tendency to constantly break on themselves. I'll select a few of my personal favourites, cause over the years I have encountered far too many to keep track of!

For the Sims 2 it's definitely this weird glitch that both my Veronaville AND my Strangetown were thrown back in time at some point. With my Veronaville I could at least make some sense of it due to having One Drive at that time. But Strangerown... I've been playing that game on my computer specifically for Sims 2 for ages. It has no One Drive. And this was literally my back up file lol!

I am thankful for some of the gems it gave me though. As much as I'm pissed that I have to make Mambo Loa adopt a child all over again, except now she's even older and her roommate Oscar is probs gonna become the child's foster parent after her passing... Or the fact that I have to make Tristan, Optimum Alfred and Giuseppi's ENTIRE FAMILY WITH MEMORIES all over again. Plus the fact that the whole GBA/DS side of the hood got wiped but the decor is still there (and the Sims that still do exist, still have the memories to match the passing of time). OR MY DAMN STRANGETOWN CEMETERY/CHURCH... It did create a good story arc for my Strangetown which amplifies my main one about government and alien conspiracy theories plus mind wiping.

Also... Whatever the fuck happened to Loki and Circe for a brief moment. I thought their face data literally got wiped cause when I made them look in the mirror they both ended up with the corrupted faces. Yet when I exited their home and came back they were fine?? What were those two on about lol!

Also... Squishy... We cannot forget the absolute icon that is Squishy. Thank you time machine Veronaville for giving him to me lol!

For Sims 3 it is this weird glitch where as you play a town for a while people, especially children will eventually go missing. They'll still show up in the family trees, but their portraits take a while to load. But they're nowhere to be found and do not even show up in the relationship panels anymore. It's like they just disappeared one day and there's no way to get them back. Super freaky if you ask me!

For Sims 4, I constantly walk against game breaking glitch after game breaking glitch... The funniest one to me however was how Dominic and Duncan's baby kept showing up on the other side of town whenever they came back from work and she came back from daycare. These two dudes, as the exhausted parents they are, actually had to walk (cause God forbid we have cars) with close to no energy every damn time to pick their kid with neglected needs (cause daycare didn't even bother to look after her lol) up!

Another one that made me crack up was how I randomly got a pop up one day that Circe's high school graduation was happening despite the fact that this woman already had both her high school AND university degree in her fucking inventory lol! I just had to go there and see what would happen... Loved seeing her go on stage with all these teens.

Lastly I had this weird glitch that despite having my aging system follow that of the Sims 2, when I went to other households after a while of playing the Newlows and the Beakers, they just... All aged up... At once. Even those I had played for a while previously and were fine back then. This resulted in every damn elder dying at the same time and every damn Sim aging up and being depressed about a missed birthday. And since Jenny was apparently pregnant at this time she became a pregnant elder? What? I didn't even know that was possible lol! At least Patrizo and Isabella got to die together! Sims 4 is a very stable game I swear to God.

Circe was on her way home after the night shift. She knew she’d find her Loki waiting for her, ready to go to his work.

"Honey, I know it’s 7:00 in the morning, but we have to toast. We have to. I finally got promoted! No more night shifts for your wife!"

Loki raised his glass to toast.

"Congratulations, Circe. You deserve this promotion, you've worked so hard for it."

Circe smiled, barely revealing a hint of excitement.

"Thank you, Loki. I couldn't have done it without your support."

"I always had faith in you. You're brilliant and talented. But tell me about this new colleague, this Doctor Newlow. Is he the one who recommended you for the promotion?" Loki said.

"Yes, sweety. He was him." She answered.

Loki took a deep breath, and with just a hint of suspicion in the voice he said

"I see. And how well do you know this Doctor? Are you two close?"

Circe smiled maliciously, feeling flattered by her husband’s jealousy.

"We're colleagues, and he's a good mentor. But that's all it is, darling. You have nothing to worry about, I love you and only you. You're the only man I want."

Loki sighs, softening his tone.

"I know, I know. It's just that when I think about other men being close to you, it makes me feel... Jealous. I can't help it."

Circe looked at Loki with excitement in her eyes.

"Dominic will join us for dinner tonight, and will be briefing us on a great discovery he's just made, and he's generously offered to share it with us so we can collaborate on it!"

Loki gritted his teeth, hearing his wife call Dr Newlow "Dominic".

"You know, Circe, all this talk about work and research makes me think of something else. Something that's been on my mind for a while now."

"What is it, Loki?"

"I was thinking... We've been so focused on our careers, perhaps it's time to consider starting a family..."

Should note that I don't play much Pleasantview and I don't think there's much to Don but I enjoy all the theories that people come up with. I've seen two separate stories where he was innocent in regards to Bella's disappearance and decides to search and both of them were great. Also he is fun to play which is the most important part imo so I'd probably rank him either mid-tier or a bit higher if I were to rank him among other Pleasantview premades

I think he's probably just a fuckboy and there's nothing more to it but I do like the deeper characterizations that people give him. I also do think he's probably smart since he's in med school, and Cassandra seems like the type to be drawn to intelligence esp since she's working in the scientist career. Either way I would probably avoid him, but I don't think he'd be too scary as I feel like he would probably back off if you say no to him and find someone else

Hermia is a bit complicated because she was one of many Veronaville premades that I did not care about when I first started playing (and I really did want to like her because she has my favorite design out of all of the premades there) but I think she's alright now. There's not much going for her by herself but she meshes well with the other Veronaville sims

There's little things here and there that I can overthink (like how she's best friends with Juliette and implied to be her confidante by the family image, has a decent relationship to Tybalt despite her bio saying that she doesn't understand him, her mutual crushes on both Puck and Mercutio alongside Romeo wanting to flirt with her most of the time when you first play) but at the end of the day I have no clue what was intentional and what was a coincidence

Feels like she plays the role of both the Nurse and Rosaline (considering Romeo has a want to flirt and she's technically a relative of Juliette like Rosaline was to Juliet) so I think there's a lot of things about her that I can theorize about. I think we would be good friends if she was real, I feel like we'd have common interests and we're similar personality-wose

As for Vidcund I was one of numerous people who got into the Sims through CallMeKevin, with his Sims 2 playthrough being what made me want to try playing it. As a result I have a soft spot for him, he may be the most morally questionable out of his brothers but I think he is capable of changing as a person

I do get annoyed with stuff that gloss over the fact that he got mind controlled in the PSP game and pretend that he willing sold Tycho, especially when the same people are willing to acknowledge that Circe was mind controlled when she "had an affair" with Newlow. Because of that I usually remain in my bubble and look at stuff through tags rather than following specific ppl, but I think it's reasonable to dislike him for other reasons

Also the fact that he starts off being best friends with Lazlo is p interesting considering their opposite personalities but extroverted people who share a common interest with you are usually easier to talk to as an introvert since they can carry conversations and you can talk about the common interest. Reminds me of how I make most of my friends irl lol

I think we would get along horribly if he was a real person as he seems like the type who would be way easier to talk to once you get to know him, but it'll also be a pain to get to know him because he'll reject most of your efforts to do so and then proceed to complain about how he can't make friends. However he usually does mesh well with most of my sim OCs and makes for good enemies to lovers material because of the telescope thing.

I love Fandom wikis; I find the concept of "by and for fans" touching. That's why I spend a lot of time on these, especially in The Sims one.

We have an unwritten rule (to allow Fanon pages) to only include canon/confirmed information. We do not usually delete information at once (it's rude), instead we use one of the templates {{confirm}}, {{fact}}, {{which}} or {{clarify}}, which allow the user who edited the page (or someone else) to clarify or confirm the written information.

That's why, despite my low level in these technical matters, I like to look for the source of this type of dubious information and be able to give a coherent explanation (like how Dominic Newlow's page said he was a Knowledge Sim... TS2PSP has no aspirations for NPCs). So this will be a long summary of the history of Viola's page on The Sims Wiki and the actual information that exists about her.

Viola's Wiki page history

It was created in 2021 and, since then, not many users have edited it. However, three of them stand out for their great activity: Pentawa, Carrit, and Danionek03.

The user Carrit is the one who has contributed the most information to the Viola page: relationships, interests, personality and even the recreational image that we all associate with Viola (which has recently been updated).

(The left one was the first picture, dated Sep 16th, 2021. The one on the right is the latest, dated June 2nd 2024)

Her Simology (interests, aspiration, zodiac sign & personality) has been deleted and put back again and again. I assure you that it is the same information as Seth Bui. This is because it is assumed that the developers would have maintained that information when replacing Viola with Seth Bui.

However, the supposed relationship data is not the same as what Seth Bui has. This information was added by Carrit, regretting it shortly after, they deleted it, and Pentawa restored it saying:

This is taken straight from the Sim Relations data for playable Sims relationship with Viola's instance#3C. It's also one of the few remaining data we have of Viola

Curiously, this is the only time something like this happens. Pentawa, along with another user (Danionek03) have tried to keep speculation off the page. Danionek03 is, in fact, the user who removed the most mentions of "Viola Monty" because her last name could not be confirmed.

I say that it is curious, not only because Pentawa restored apparently speculative information, but also because Carrit does not usually delete the information that they themselves add.

Carrit is a peculiar user. They don't respond on their discussion page, and on Viola's talk page they never give proof.

Additionally, they added a link to a creation of theirs on ModTheSims that includes many ancestral Sims with broken faces on Viola's page on The Sims Wiki, saying it was the Sim from the beta image. (It's not Carrit, it's your interpretation… Which isn't bad, you know? But that should not be uploaded to the wiki 😕).

Fun fact: Viola's page even had "her career" (level 3 of the Culinary career) at one point.

Actual proof

In the file N003_Lots45.package, there is a mention of Viola in line 994 that anyone can check for themselves:

It does show a character named Viola from a time when Veronaville was N005 instead of N003, with the same character file as Seth Bui's in currently.

2. Seth Bui's relationships in SimPE show that he knows Blair Jayapalan (who in Viola's page is set as her 'unborn baby' sibling) and other five unknown Sims:

(my game is in Spanish, so their names automatically translate, but take my word when I tell you that it is the neighborhood restored from scratch, without any modification, my intervention or any clean template)

These unknown Sims have a daily relationship of 68, 67, 61 and 70, respectively. None of these are marked as 'Family' or 'Known'.

Pentawa also says Viola's relationship data can be seen at instance#3C. As I said before, I'm not to knowledgable on the technical aspects of The Sims, so I'm assuming they're referering to this:

That's the Instance (high) column. Olivia's relationships begin with 003B while Romeo's begin with 003D, skipping completely 003C. So that actually gives us nothing :/

3. And, lastly, the beta pictures, that show a teenage girl who shares Olivia's hair and skin colors. She, however, cannot be confirmed to be Viola, as we know nothing about Viola's appearance or age.

That's all. There is no more proof, unless Carrit somehow has it but refuses to share their sources.

Personal theory & opinion

It's all made up. This information is simply not there. Viola most likely was a townie that snuck on those two pictures and coincidentally has the same hair and skin color as Olivia. But it's not possible to say their face structures are similar. I can count the pixels on "Viola's" face in that picture.

There's no way someone can tell her eye color or if she's wearing makeup.

Her relationship (or Seth's) with the Monty family is also non-existent. At first I thought this might be one of those times where Sims who are NOT family have unexplained family flags in SimPE, like Vidcund and Loki, for example:

But that's not the case. There are no relationships between Seth/Viola and any Monty member.

Either way I still love the fandom interpretations, and I also enjoy picturing Viola as someone who has some sort of connection with the Montys. But once again, speculation should be left to Tumblr, not the wiki 🤔

Long ago, I saw a post where Pentawa stated -in a comment- their regret about adding Viola to the wiki. And I think it is very curious that, among all the characters that have been cut from the saga, Viola stood out so much.

Why not Tiny? Why is there no speculation about him and his dog? Why not TA7, PT9's friend from TS2PSP that was supposed to be another ghost in Espiritu Estate? He even has deep lore within the game files!

Non-canon info on the wiki

As much as I love to think of Viola as a Monty, a lesbian and with a crush on Hermia (or more on Miranda in my case), it really bothers me that someone has edited her wiki page with non-canonical info...

The wiki only calls her Viola, it refuses to call her Viola Monty precisely because we are not sure even if it is probable that she is really a sister of Mercutio and Romeo, then magically, without even having a character data, in her wiki page her entire family tree appears linked to all the Monty, all relationships, including friendships and coincidentally her crush is Hermia. That happens to be the ship of the fandom. (Let's not talk, please, about Hamlet Dane marked as aunt)

You can't put non-canonical info on the wiki! Viola doesn't have a character data, you CANNOT have gotten these info on simPe...and if you think "then people got it from Seth Bui who overwrote her data", as happened with ST Bella who appeared related to the Smiths because she overwritten the character data of one of the Curious brothers...well, no.

Not even Seth has these relationships on simPe...so it's all made up (I haven't checked myself, but those who have checked have seen no relationship with the Montys and the Capps)

I didn't want to make this post for fear of irritating someone... but if it's possible someone should think about removing the unconfirmed info from the wiki :/ Or at least write that these are hypotheses and fandom headcanons

Zoya is the same age as Lazlo and about five years younger than Aktu. Aktu was expected to look after Zoya (and any other sibling who came after) because their parents were often busy

Zoya is bisexual and probably nonbinary but she doesn't care enough about that at the moment (all three Strangetown Terrestrials are on the nonbinary spectrum). Her pronouns are she/they

Zoya is the type of person who has trouble talking to girls because she's introverted and only talks to people that she's familiar with, which is just Aktu and Hamza and whatever friends they have. Crystal is the first female friend she's made

Zoya is also friends with Lazlo. Since she's introverted she doesn't have any other friends besides them and anyone else in her family. She does have a low acquaintance level with Olive, Ajay and the Singles, and a slightly negative relationship with General Buzz

Zoya despises Vidcund because he got mad at her for "spying on him" when she was using the telescope to go cloudgazing

If she knew them Zoya would probably be friends with Bianca, Kent, Oberon, Titania, and Jennifer

Pre-Strangetown:

Zoya mostly keeps to herself and as a result was caught off-guard by Hamza and Aktu's fight like everyone else

Zoya's ex-husband, Gabriel, was a childhood friend, and the two dated and had their first kiss in high school. Both of them were considered gifted (Zoya had already published a bestselling book in her teens and won a couple of awards in sports competitions) and as a result were able to skip a grade so that they could briefly attend high school at the same time as Aktu and Hamza

Hamza and Zoya would often compete over everything which included who could get married first, so Zoya and Gabriel rushed into marriage once Hamza planned on marrying Celeste. The two of them also had their daughter, Madeline, together

Zoya started developing body dysphoria after pregnancy which made her more averse to intimacy, which caused her and Gabriel to have relationship problems

After Aktu got abducted, Zoya decided to spend her time figuring out where he ended up, before walking in on Celeste and Gabriel sleeping with each other

Zoya alerts Hamza, not realizing that he was cooking macaroni and cheese while this was happening, which caused a fire. Zoya was able to get Ezekiel and Madeline out of the house in time, but neither of them were able to save Celeste and Gabriel

Strangetown:

Zoya becomes devoted to Crystal like the rest of her family after Crystal helps her and Hamza reunite with Aktu

Lazlo and Zoya meet through Crystal, and he proceeds to introduce her to the Singles (and Ajay because he happened to be there too) when she tells him that she wants more female friends. Zoya meets Olive through Hamza

Zoya is also initially excited for Aktu when he announces that he has a crush on someone, only to become horrified and disgusted when she finds out it's the same person who shoved her for going cloudgazing

To prevent Vidcund from becomoing an in-law she decides to figure out a way to get Aktu to move on to someone else

Hypothetical PSP Universe:

Zoya reluctantly lets Aktu take in Vidcund after the events of the PSP game, but the two are able to sort out their misunderstanding that caused them to become enemies and in turn develop a friendly rivalry instead

Despite hating Vidcund for most of the time that she knew him, Zoya joins Aktu in taking Vidcund's side over Pascal and cuts off contact with him. She still remains in contact with Lazlo and Crystal, though Crystal is no longer in Strangetown at this point

Zoya starts to befriend Circe and learns about what Newlow did to her, which prompts her to try to move in Circe much to dismay of Aktu and Vidcund
