I’m Back!

Introductory Post!

Hi friends, I got bored of my weeb-y tumblr blogs and deleted them all, but I’m back with a vengeance as a new plant mom! I visited HD on February 5th and decided to try my hand at succulents again (RIP to that string of pearls I impulse bought when I had far less knowledge/care than I do now), I’m hooked! My wallet hates me but I’m happy and surrounded by plants. Pretty good trade. Come say hi!

Why Hello Lovelies

Hey-lo there, I hope you’re having a good day! I’m Tee, yes that’s short for my name and no I don’t feel like sharing that information suckas, haha. In time I’m sure the cat will be out of the bag, have no fear! 

So, I figured I would tell you some stuff about myself. I happen to think I’m a cool kid...(says the obviously not cool kid). 

Facts: I’m a 28 year old chick. I enjoy anything creative, artsy and that allows me to express myself. I have opinions, I like to share them. I like lists, I like to ignore them. (Ha! true though...) I consider myself a quote-a-holic. I live in the U.S. and I listen to a lot of music. My boyfriend says I go off on lots of tangents which is where the title of this blog stemmed from.

it’s been awhile since i was inspired to write more or even share more. all of my posts are planned and for the most part well-thought out. but now, listening to all these podcasts, reading all these blogs, i see how the flood of information at my fingertips must be recorded in a way that i can read about later. 

here’s what i want to share today from the evangelista blog:

Kristian has taught me to rest in his love, to receive love even when I feel unworthy of it, to stop interrupting and LISTEN before responding, to pay attention to the ebb and flow of his emotional state and learn the cues for when he’s hungry or tired and just needs a break. He’s also taught me to be more spontaneous, romantic, and joyful. I didn’t savor life quite as much as I do now, and that is in large part thanks to my dear husband.”

this really spoke to me. this month is our 9th month of marriage. it’s been an educational and interesting journey so far. even when the days are boring or frustrating because of all of the things and STUFF, it is a comfort to me to have him here. the phrase “rest in his love” is beautiful. that’s what he is to me and has been - my comfort, my peace, my joy, my REST. thankful to have found writings that describe how i feel about him and our relationship thus far. 

i am happy to have found this new space to share my heart.

Old Photos

Found some old photos from freshmen year on my computer and was looking through them. Crazy to think that 3 years ago seems so long ago but at the same time I remember it like it all just happened this week.

Also there’s a lot more photos of me passed out than I remembered lol like my prof pic. Woke up that morning without any pants and Farnan handing me some pizza telling me we gotta go it’s long run day. First 30 minutes were awesome I was still drunk and was killing it. The next hour was absolute hell after that. Slept the beautiful day away and arose that night to get drunk again that night. Freshmen year was a simpler time.

“New Blog, Who Dis?”

Hello world! Welcome to my very first entry of, what I hope will be, a series of very fun, creative, sometimes whimsical and interesting posts all revolving around decor and design. Hi, my name is Jessenia but most people just call me Jess. I am a 29 year old mother, wife, interior designer and avid crocheter. I studied interior design at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC several years ago where I received my Bachelors in Fine Arts. Since then, I’ve had a variety of jobs ranging from kitchen designer to assistant interior designer, even an engineering draftsmen (long story), then eventually became a retail store planner. Now, I recently decided to launch my own design firm-Yay! And with that, I thought “Self- why not do a blog and help other struggling designers or home owners!” So here I am. The purpose of this blog is to spread the word of design and to share some of my wisdom with you lovely people. I hope to answer questions about design and decor and eventually help inspire others to make their house, their home! I will bring you all along some of my design projects, both professional and personal. So if I haven’t lost you yet- I appreciate you and here we go!
