MoonieLeaks Vol 1: Internal Unification Church Comms Reveal Desperate Times and Manipulative Motives
18 Oct 2023 Dropping simultaneously as S4 E14 of Falling Out: MoonieLeaks Volume 1, AKA Demian's Coming Out Shit is hitting the fan inside the Unification Church and they are turning up the pressure on American members to make up for the shortfall in cash from Japan. They also admit to getting inside information from politicians, they admit that the Washington Times is merely a vehicle for their own PR aims, and SO MUCH MORE incriminating stuff.
Crisis List
Japanese Church Dissolution Attempt
UCI Case Seriously Impacted
New Yorker Hotel Loan Default Risk
Financial Crisis in USA (Washington Times currently unsustainable.)
Financial Crisis Globally
Japan Crisis Update
Status Report:
13 months since incident [assassination of Abe]
Prime Minister announced he would cut off UPF
Japanese government changed legal status of our church
September 13, PM Kishida launched a new cabinet
Press release announced strong push for dissolution of UC
Media atmosphere is confident that dissolution will take place
Parliamentarians around PM say that there is probably no way to escape from this. However, PM himself said he would follow the legal procedure, according to the law.
This is his biggest card, so it rallies his base
A lot of media are building up their own surveys. They say 90% of the population agree with the dissolution
New Yorker Crisis Update
Saving our National Treasure
COVID stress on finances
Regional bank failure atmosphere Existing lender canceled plans to allow for refi earlier this year We had to find a new lender in limited time, long and complicated
We are in process of closing with new lender to avoid default (end of month)
Attorney General did not approve "HSA is a business, not a church." We are fighting from every angle, including Dr. Jenkins mobilizing Christian leadership base in NYC
We have plan B, C, but each situation is putting us in great danger
We are selling other assets (sacrificing extremities to protect core organs)
Washington Times Crisis Update • Tough Business to be in. • WT – Very important for our international, political, and VIP relations. • Advertising and readership down in recent years • Not self sufficient, requires 800k per month from HSA to support • Needs to be completely re-considered, restructured, increase income streams
Global Finance Crisis Update • Extreme Restrictions • Japanese finances locked • Limits in Korea • Trying to build CWG • USA should not only be self sufficient, but should be able to fund world missions
Development Burn the sails, move forward Witnessing – Please send in your reports about your witnessing results.
In the meantime, focus on strengthening internally.
Internal envorinonment – CSW
External envorinonment – worship, culture, education – the 99.999%
Church essentially self sufficient, but not vibrant everywhere.
Need more youth involvement
Need more money
Tithing increase – Let Youth take on more roles – need money and development

Robin Williams, photographed by Martin Schoeller for The New Yorker in 2002.
"I was hired by The New Yorker in 2002 to photograph Robin Williams, and after doing my research what stood out most for me was that he was a very physical comedian. I came up with this idea to photograph him swinging from a chandelier in a grand hotel room. Most publicists shoot down these kinds of wild ideas, so I didn't tell anyone what I was up to, but rigged up a chandelier at the Waldorf Astoria hotel for him to swing from. When Robin got there and saw what was happening, he lifted up his shirt and showed me this enormous scar on his shoulder. He'd just had surgery and couldn't so much as lift his arm. He was so disappointed! He really felt bad about not being able to do it, because he loved the idea and really wanted to help me accomplish my vision. Unlike most Hollywood stars, he was unfazed by his success and position. He talked to everyone from stylists to the crew to the hotel staff. We ended up asking a maid at the hotel to swing from the chandelier instead, and I asked him to just sit there and read a newspaper, which I think in the end was an even funnier, more unexpected picture."

if I had a nickel for every time I had a blorbo who was a turn-of-the-century working-class Italian immigrant who anglicized his first name, is the youngest of the sons but has two younger sisters, responds very flirtatiously to a gun in his face, and sometimes uses the last name Ross
I would, somehow, have two nickels

Alastor's Accents & Linguistic Analysis
I love linguistics and I ended up getting really fixated on Alastor's accent so here's an analysis I cooked up
In the series, Alastor speaks with a Mid-Atlantic accent, also known as a transatlantic accent. It is a blend of English that seeks to blend American and British (specifically Received Pronunciation) accents. This accent was mainly used by two groups of people. 1) the wealthy, upper-class, who often learned to use it in private preparatory schools. And 2) entertainers.
(It was also commonly used to teach non-native English speakers)
This accent was very commonly used in the entertainment industry in films, theater productions, and radio broadcasts, which explains why Alastor would use it.
(It's not that important, but while listening to the character, I noticed that the pilot va and the series va have slight variations of the accent. Particularly, pilot Alastor avoids the rhotic r sound almost completely, while series Alastor only occasionally cuts the rhotic r, so you hear them a lot more.
If you want to hear it, listen to the words than end in -r. Can you actually hear the r sound or is it a vowel that implies an r?)
The thing about a Mid-Atlantic accent though, is that it is a learned accent that speakers need to be trained in. No one used it natively except maybe those raised in the wealthy elite.
(I have a slight fascination with accent training bc I'm from an area that has an accent that people train to use. Newscasters used to be sent here in order to learn the accent)
So Alastor would not have grown up using that accent, but rather had to learn it for his job as a radio host. He may have taken to using it in everyday life as an adult, but we can't be sure.
So what is his natural accent? We can't be 100% certain, but we can take a guess, so lets' look at the facts we have about his life.
We know he was born and raised in New Orleans and he's 'mixed race Creole' which narrows it down quite a bit. Now, New Orleans is actually quite linguistically diverse, but to untrained ears (myself) they sound very similar. Here's a video about a few of the accents:
youtube
So there it is, that is possibly the accent Alastor would naturally have. Of course, there are a few other factors to consider, such as the time period, but I'm not sifting through research papers to figure out if there were any distinct differences.
As I leave us here, let me say that I am in no means an expert in anything I talk about here, I am merely someone who really enjoys languages and linguistics and all notes here are from an amateurs observations.

Things I think chaggie would do if they were New Yorkers:
— Charlie really enjoys subway performances and only carries around cash to give tips. Vaggie didn’t really care for them until she saw how happy it made Charlie. She also has cash now and started to genuinely enjoy it.
— Vaggie explains to Charlie that not every corner store is a bodega, but every bodega is a corner store. Charlie pretends that she doesn’t understand because she likes how passionately Vaggie will re-explain. They do this a couple times every year.
— Keekee was a street cat that Charlie planned to only foster, but could not bring herself to get Keekee adopted. She doesn’t foster cats very often anymore. Vaggie fosters injured pigeons sometimes, or she brings them to the Wild Bird Fund (they know her there).
— Everyone thinks Charlie is a transplant because of how fascinated she is with everything. Everyone thinks Vaggie is a NYC native because of how exasperated she is with everything. Charlie was born and raised in Lower Manhattan and Vaggie was born and raised in California. They never correct anyone’s assumptions.

June 24, 2011
It was July 1, 1982 and 2075 couples, followers of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, were entering and exiting the second-floor Grand Ballroom of the New Yorker Hotel at 34th Street and Eighth Avenue. There they entered into marriage contracts with strangers whom the reverend, the Korean-born founder and head of the Unification Church, had picked for them. Then, the same day, they walked barely a block and entered Madison Square Garden—most in formal wear—where they were declared husband and wife en masse by Reverend Moon.
Photos of the Moonie marriage ceremony were distributed worldwide. It would be hard to forget—though the New Yorker Hotel would prefer that you did.
