got my deezer year and my top three artists from one to three were ringo deathstarr, diiv and wild nothing which isn't surprising in the slightest

#i had TWO title fight songs in my top five songs christ #xtal came fifth which is like. fine but that isn't my favourite aphex twin song so #last year it was two machine girl songs and two fleshwater songs #i got deftones as the fifth band but i only remember listening to them like twice this year #i feel like aic should have made it on thereeeee what happened #there was a three month period where all i'd listen to was aic #doesn't make much sense at all actually #between like 2019 and 2020 i got tame impala as my top artists twice in a row but i barely listened to the guy #i think the issue is that apart from obv faves like deathstarr diiv wild nothing whirr etc #i don't really repeat music. whenever i open the app i look for something i havent listened to in a while #i'll post screenies when i can use my new blog

#spotify wrapped my beloved <3 #i love finding out which song i streamed over 300 times in a year #it reminds me how mentally stable i am HAHAHAHA #2023 it was 'like real people do' by hozier (clocking in at 354 plays)#2022 it was 'new constellations' by ryn weaver (clocking in at 500 plays)#2021 it was 'pierre' by ryn weaver (clocking at at 232 streams)#and then 2020 i'm 100% sure it was 'sex' by eden #double-checked and i was right #i have no screenshots from 2016 to 2020 tho #but i love yapping about music so i will be telling you what the top songs were #2016 was 'ode to sleep' by twenty one pilots (i was 13?)#2017 was 'hold on' by chord overstreet #2018 was 'the last of the real ones' by fall out boy #2019 top song is something i don't speak about so you'll get my 2nd song of the year #which was 'hearts' by jessie ware #but these songs i still stand by to this day #i will yap about them and i know every goddamn lyric and will scream them #MANIA is not one of fob's best albums but idc #last of the real ones slaps SO HARD #it lived rent free in my brain for so long and still does #i would jam the fuck out to it #i literally have a playlist called “reliving my (not so) emo years” and i will sing those songs like im 13/14 again #anyway yap over #on call [rambles]
