I love that genre of tumblr post where someone comes up with a fuckass scenario like hey what if there was a root vegetable that dyes your cum purple and stains your skin if someone nuts on you, and it becomes a popular thing and then someone comes up with a lipstick colour that perfectly imitates the same look and for like three weeks it would be the trendiest possible look to wear it because it looks like you just sucked off some slut with novelty colour cum, and everyone who isn't wearing it fucking hates it.

And then someone replies to it with "this is actually pretty much the plot of [one of those old classic animes that you've been meaning to watch at some point but never have] except the guy who invented the lipstick is also doing all of that in order to take over the world because he wants to fuck alien plants" and there's like five replies to that reply going "oh fuck you're right but why did you say it like that."

it's crazy that sexism can even affect animals. the way people assume all dogs are boys. the simultaneous way people will get genuinely really mad if you dare mistake their pretty princess for a boy despite the fact all german shepherds look the same. the refusal to buy pink toys and accessories for male pets. i recently met someone who insisted they never adopt girl cats because they're always meaner than boy cats. i feel like im losing my mind. they're literally cats.

*smirking* you couldn't waterboard that out of me, but even if torture was an effective method of information extraction and not a futile display of state-sanctioned sadism, the high percentage of false confessions it produces would mean that even if you could waterboard it out of me, could you even trust the veracity of my statement?

The next time you want to call a sequence “Well animated” do yourself a favour and rewatch it with the sound muted. Often times ir’s only after you remove sound from something that you can truly see if the animation underneath is actually good or not, or if the music/acting is manipulating you.

….but on that same note, “Well animated” does not mean “Fluidly animated”. Because something can be VERY well animated and have few frames if those frames are in the right place, or have a shit ton for frames and be badly animated because it’s over-animated and moves way too much.
