Idols of Niertismus: Vision of Heaven

Niertismus is the new approach to ethics and religion proposed by conceptual artist Nicholaas Chiao. According to Niertismus, humanity can achieve heavenly eternal life on Earth by correcting one’s misconceptions and wrongdoings. Niertismus sees ethical food consumption as the key to possible immortality and the creation of extreme wealth. Such food is supposed to be produced not by conventional agriculture but by physics and chemistry. This could be either 3D printed food or food like Solar Milk- a nutritious substance created under sunlight from water by chemical reaction. According to Niertismus, when humans exclude harm to other life forms from their own actions, no life form will be able to harm humans.

This exhibition consists of variety of sculptures, installations and paintings. Due to purely economic reasons exhibition conceived via digital art.

The Solar Woman is a sculpture by Nicholaas Chiao, symbolizing humans of a new era. Humans of technocratic kind, perhaps cyborgs supported by the energy of the Sun.

The Gates of Eden is an installation with educational books symbolizing the knowledge leading us to live in the mythical Eden.

The multi-panel painting The Order of Days metaphorically represents human life. From the craddle to the grave, from educational youth to adulthood full of splendid experiences of complex live. From early sensations of birth to old age full of musical rhythms of life in wisdom and prosperity.

Death Sower Shall Become Death is moralisation of the simply truth: that one offence is leading to another, that crime returns with a whole vendetta of bloody retaliations. According to the artist only by correcting mistakes humans can reach heavenly existence and even immortality.

The Souls of Water is a sculpture immortalizing torture of plant lives, recognising that each harvest is taking multiple bodies of this life form. Science and progress, in the opinion of artist, will permit humans not to harm other biologic life. Our existence could be supported by artificial photosynthesis generated and 3d printed foods.
