Anyway, some infodumping about this AU under the cut

what is going on what is this au even based on?

This AU is heavily based on Fallout New Vegas, though it technically takes place in the SMP proper. c!Dream is taking the role of Mr. House, one of the joinable factions of the game (yes he’s his own faction), while c!Tommy is taking the role of the Courier, the protagonist of the game.

why does it take place in the smp proper? is it not in the fallout universe?

The idea of this AU is that it takes place hundreds of years after the nuclear bombing of the Dream SMP. So it’s technically not in the fallout universe, no! However, the remains of the SMP have developed a similar society to that of the Mojave in Fallout New Vegas, though it isn’t exact.

so shouldn’t c!tommy be dead?

He is! Everyone died except c!Dream, and even that’s technical (he’s a withered husk in a pod connected to his computer). The idea is that, like Mr. House, c!Dream basically hooked himself up to a computer to live forever after learning about the nukes much earlier, and in diverting them from the Prison he ended up ensuring basically the entire server was caught in the crossfire, turning it into a post nuclear nightmare. This c!Tommy just so coincidentally happened to be born near-identical to the deceased c!Tommy, as did every returning character, because while the time loop broke its underlying effects are still kinda fucking with shit. c!Dream, of course, is ecstatic.

is c!dream and or c!tommy evil in this?

c!Dream, as a whole, is morally ambiguous, because all the factions have to be its based off fallout new vegas they’re all shitty but trying except the fucking legion. He wants to lead humanity into a new era, and help repair, but he’s an egomaniac dictator who’s sanity hasn’t been done any good over the past couple hundred years. c!Tommy's just a sixteen year old mailman who gets caught up in too much shit alas. He's probably got decent karma, in game terms, he tries. But he’s also like, way less qualified than the actual Courier.

who does c!tommy join?

He wants to join the NLR (New L'Manberg Republic). Turns out playing a version of Fallout New Vegas where Mr House is like infinitely more Interested in you (and he fucking saves you from dying immediately lmao he Very Badly wants you on his side) makes that VERY HARD. absolutely not interested in eggpire legion tho.

why is c!tommy shocked when he’s not even looking at c!dream?

Because there's a wall of lava behind him that just sprung up and he’s hot as Shit in that ranger outfit man.

beadie pregnant with dante and diana, talking to her older brother eden and his young daughter who i haven't named yet. i have it in my canon that radiation over time leads to minor genetic mutations and cosmetic changes. i'm thinking this can occur over time and with increased exposure, and genetically thru generations. i'm still playing with it, but i wanted to give eden's wife this condition. idk what to name the daughter but i'm open to suggestions !!

ABO Headcanons

California being a dormant omega. He doesn't quite look like a classic omega, being taller than even many alphas, but he has the nurturing tendencies (wanting to adopt Austin and wanting to care for him when he's cold). He's also unafraid of most Alphas - which is a quality considered undesirable in old society - and has often argued against them. An Alphas Voice works on him, still, but using their Voice has been made illegal in many states(not yet federal law).

New York as a dormant Alpha. He doesn't look much like one of his gender either, being of medium build, and he's shorter than some omegas like Mississippi or Florida. He has the aggressiveness of a stereotypical Alpha, but it's still nothing like a dominant's. He's not as territorial, but a majority of the Northeastern states are also Alphas of varying rank, and he grew up thinking it's what he's supposed to do

Alaska is a dominant alpha. It's surprising to many - not that he’s an alpha(he certainly has the build of one), but that he is a dominant one - because he's remarkably laid back. When people tell him this, he gets a little bothered, but refuses to show it. Being an alpha doesn't mean he has to be loud and aggressive all the time. However, his chill attitude also probably derives from a lineage of strong A genes, making him a higher rank than many.

Texas is a dominant alpha, the biggest stereotype. He's loud, proud, and loves to argue. California's got spunk, but he's raised to believe omegas are weaker, and that creates conflict in him. Also, internalized homophobia time, he is attracted to other Alphas

Florida is a recessive omega. He doesn't show any of the qualities typical omegas do, and his heats tend to be irregular. When it comes to recessive omegas, I think the Voice does work on them, but only when used by someone of strong A lineage, like Alaska(not that he would ever use it). The only real indicator that he's an omega is his medical records, if you can even find them. Otherwise, people just have to believe him. When it comes to pheromones, he can smell the scents, but they have little to no effect on him

Louisiana is another case of a dominant alpha with a lack of aggression/territoriality. He's heard it all, from every gender, about how he should act. He, frankly, doesn't care. He's confident in himself, and he's never felt more understood than by Florida, someone who knows what it's like to not fit in with people of your secondary gender. At the same time, however, he finds himself feeling more like a dominant Alpha around Florida than he ever did before. He wants to protect him and scent him and even make him submit at times. It scares him, especially since Florida isn't affected like he is, and he doesn't know how to allow himself to express these desires. They're normal to other dominant alphas, but not him.

Georgia is a dominant omega(wooo first one!) who very much fits in with his secondary gender, with a tendency to care for others and bring a sense of calm to those around him with his scent. His attraction is strictly towards other Omegas and Betas He loves Florida very much and the same is true vice versa. He is nervous around Alphas, though, for some reason.

Nevada is a dominant Omega; definitely lives up to the standard. His confidence as a Queen is a given, with an ability to make Alphas submit to him. Despite his status, his preferences lie most commonly in Betas. He has on-and-off relationships with Connecticut, Colorado, New Jersey, and even Gov.

Gov has no secondary gender. It's one of the things that's always separated him from the States. It’s never stopped him from keeping order between them, but hes never surprised when someone decides to challenge his authority. Thankfully, he’s got enough dirt on everyone to keep him cushy in his position.

This was my first ever script, and the way @lilacquintet found out I was actually (pretty) good at writing. Context, this was what Wilbur said after Quackity asked him if he would join Las Nevadas after their date (the answer of which he took SUPER personally, because abandonment issues)

Then there’s me, Wilbur Soot, the guy who blew up L’Manburg. Just a washed up husk of a man for Quackity and his little stooges to laugh at. Was thinking more of my Hunger Games AU!! I'm thinking of making a few changes :)

uhh theres technically. kind of. hunger games spoilers but like this whole au will be full of spoilers lmao. Warning that there is a Lot of text below the cut, but I wld love if you guys read it since I've thought a lot abt it

District 2, I've finally decided, will be New York. New York and California in the present day are the most powerful states. I wanted to show that, with California being District 1 (previously established), and District 2 as New York. So, he and California are the two most powerful districts.

Because the districts are in totally different locations than where they used to be as states, the states chosen to be districts are chosen because they, as states, exhibit behaviors that make them favorable to be a specific district. Or, there are specific circumstances or situations that cause them to be favorable as a certain district.

The 11 states chosen to be districts, even before the disasters that caused Panem to exist, slowly, slowly changed into how they are in Panem. For example--New York slowly becomes more warm blooded, since he goes from, not only the east to the west, but the north to the south. Heights and builds also change, eye colors change, etc etc. personalities slowly change as well. When the disasters happen, it sets everything in stone. They are like this now. Theres no going back. When the disasters happen, they don't remember the names of who they used to be, and have vague, practically nonexistent memories of who they were. It's a reset.

Gov and DC are gone. completely gone. Replaced by the entities of the Capitol and Panem, they have no attachments to the districts (but they DO choose favorites).

District 13 won't be Florida !! he'll be district 4, fishing. Multiple reasons--1. He's known for, y'know, the ocean, the beach, the water, etc. 2. District 4 is a career district, a district favored by the capitol. I think its a lil bit ironic how Florida goes from,, y'know, how Florida is, bothering the government, to being a favorite of the government. And, lastly: Louisiana, whose Florida's best friend, who I imagine goes fishing and hunting with Florida, no longer exists. District 4 doesn't even remember him. I think it'd be fun to also make it hurt that way, that Florida's best friend will never join him in fishing again. So Florida gets to be the fishing district !! :] (I hope you appreciate my evil)

Regarding district 13: They're a new entity all together. They're a woman (she/they). All of the events that occur to District 13 have occurred in this AU as well. District 13 has always only been District 13. This, even from the start, causes distance between them and the other districts. Sure, the other districts all can't remember who they used to be, but there's still,,, a feeling, that District 13 is not like them. The other districts remember her, from before their rebellion and before they were forced underground, but they don't talk about them. Ever. They think she’s dead.

So. Nevada is mainly federal land right? I've seen some headcanons here and there that Nevada is, to some degree, controlled by Gov. I personally don't use the headcanon, but I'm using the concept behind it: that the government is able to control Nevada because he's mostly federal land. I'm applying this to District 2 (who was, as mentioned above, previously New York). District 2 is the district of masonry and defense. It's where the peacekeepers are stationed in. I'm imagining, because of that, District 2 is the one most under Panem's control.

All of the Districts have powers !! Reason being? The other states disappearing leaves magic behind, manifesting in the districts as abilities that suit the specific district. Sure, all of the people you love and care about are dead (or you can't remember them. Though, then again, you can't even remember yourself, so does it matter), but hey, you have powers now!

So, combining the last two ideas together. District 2's ability is to summon weapons out of thin air, kind of creating themselves. (Rise of the TMNT spoilers since his powers were inspoed by this, but think Donatello's ninpo, basically). As you can imagine, Panem and the Capitol pretty much completely controlling a living arsenal of weapons is. Not great !

District 5, the power and electricity district, is Ohio. Because he's one of the states that produces the most electricity in the country. Thats. It really.

District 6, the transportation district, is Illinois. Chicago is the busiest rail hub in the US (which I just now learned !!) so,, it seemed fitting for him to be the transportation district.

District 7, the lumber district, is Oregon. Oregon is a pretty foresty place, AND they produce the most lumber in the country. So. Lumber district now.

District 8, the textile district, is North Carolina. Another thing I just now searched and learned is that they make the most textiles in the country. Therefore, they're the textile district.

District 9, the grain district, is North Dakota. Once more, I just learned that North Dakota produces the most grain in the US. So, wow, they get to be the grain district, shocking!!

Previously, I chose district 11 (agriculture) to be Texas. I'm changing it. He's now district 10 (coincidentally the district number right beneath district 11), because Texas produces the most livestock in the country.

District 11, the agriculture district, is Iowa. Yes, California is the number one agricultural state, but Iowa is the second, and California is already district 1. So Iowa gets to be the agriculture district.

District 12, the coal district, is Wyoming !! I do in fact have multiple reasons for this one. Wyoming produces the most coal in the country. Additionally, Wyoming is often, as frequently seen, forgotten by the others and even Gov. District 12 is also, like Wyoming, forgotten and dismissed. So! Now they get to be District 12.

District 3, the electronics district, is Nevada. I chose this one for Nevada because, for one, Nevada with Las Vegas seems to fit the electronics idea of it the best--I would've chosen New York for this, but alas, he's district 2 already. Also !! I thought abt it rn and !! It also makes sense because district 3 is between two districts heavily favored by the capitol (district 2 and district 4). And yet. He himself is not a career district. So, SO close to being a favorite, but he's not. (passes you a "this reminds me of California and Nevada's relationship" card).

District 2, District 1, and District 4 are the Capitol's (and Panem's, in extension) favorites. They're treated the best.

District 1 and District 2 are very, very close. They never leave each others side, unless the Capitol or Panem needs them. (cough cough. California and New York, as completely new people, are still soulmates throughout it all. The love persists even when they and everything else around them changes.)

District list: District 1 (California), District 2 (New York), District 3 (Nevada), District 4 (Florida), District 5 (Ohio), District 6 (Illinois), District 7 (Oregon), District 8 (North Carolina), District 9 (North Dakota), District 10 (Texas), District 11 (Iowa), District 12 (Wyoming).

You may--or may not idk--have noticed that there is multiple states of each region now as districts. This was on purpose. Guess which region is the exception. :] <—the face of evil

Au where the fight between the fiancés doesn’t happen because before Quackity finds out about Kinoko Kingdom, he finds his fiancés have finally come to see him after so long of radio silence.

The kicker? He found them both in a jar with few holes in the lid, completely minuscule compared to him and knocked out. And when they wake up? Karl still only remembers the fact that he lost a canon life to the man that now towered over him and his fiancé, and he had no idea the intents of the giant.

And things definitely aren’t looking up when the giant suddenly grabs both of them and tosses them into his mouth, though neither would have any idea that they were actually safe and that the larger was protecting them from being seen by the person who’d just walked into his office with little warning..

I don't think we as a community wrote enough about demon ctommy. he was always my favorite it just gives him this evil vibe that I think is sooo funny and I always see it in ctommy art but never in literally any fic. and that's fine but imp or whatever-he-is-Tommy will always be real in my heart. in my head he used to be a bird hybrid, but when he died for what was supposed to be the final time they took his fucking wings and gave him cunty demon horns and tail. Death made him emo. for the sake of this narrative his wings used to be white too. Pair this with religious ctommy and you get peak

ctubbo. I think about him a lot. I think personally he wears armor under his coat. You'd think it start to get hot under there, and it does. his solution is to just Never leave the Arctic.
