Last year I started my new Citadel on JP right after EN EoS announcement, but my baby swords were still too weak to get Jikkyuu (I barely made it to Sasanuki). This year though I have all three Ryukyu swords and a bunch of Kiwames, so getting him was pretty painless!

I missed my sword boys so after 1 year of hiatus, I finally updated the game. I know they changed a lot of things, especially the interface, added a few more characters, new kiwames... let's see what we find here.

Honestly... I don't know where I left the game, who I left as an attendant, what teams I have, what goals I wanted to achieve aside from mindless farming to making them stronger so I can finish Memory of Aonohara without using to much resources on constantly repairing them... but hell, xp farming for kiwame!tachis is hell...

...after just getting chiganemaru, sasanuki and jikyuu, i find out about eng server closing.

I will lose another honmaru. I am so sad. Maybe I will try again with vpn, see if I can enter my og honmaru, I have failed before, but even still, I spent a lot of time in this honmaru. The regiment battles, I never managed to get the tosa trio, I'm sorry mutsu those were the only goverment swords I don't have. I don't have onimaru either, and I never paid attention to the gous, i am missing almost all of them (have 2). Not sanchoumu not nukemaru. Missing a few more.

Well, I guess I will spend the kiwame sets I have left(no point in saving for exp haha), maybe try to get these 2 last sets. Purchase casual garb like there's no tomorrow. Gonna focus on obtaining recollections and do fieldwork with toudans I haven't seen the indoor clothes yet. Maybe get the last background with seedlings you can get. Finish aonohana. Never trigger kebishi at all XD.

All the sweets will go to my kashu kageuchi that saved my ass in the great invasion and is sitting locked at level 1. One of these days on a better mood I will share the story. Is an amazing story of how saniwa almost softlocks themselves and a kashuu for the goverment Who generally is sent to new honmarus ended having to take charge knowing nothing.

Sishio, Who has been my attendant all this time. Kashu, my first sword once again Who renewed my hope in the game and came back in the great invasion to save mikazuki and everyone.

I will miss this honmaru so much.

I told myself I was going to at least get Kiwame Akita to level 99, got to level 80, and just...felt numb. There are nineteen days of Summer Regiment left, so if nothing else that's plenty of time to take a break and then come back, in theory. But for the moment, even though my plan was to take as many pictures as I could, I just can't look at my Citadel right now.

I think the reason this sudden shutdown hurts--more than the time spent--is that because TKRB relies so much on the player creating their own story, the undercurrent of this whole situation is "Your stories don't matter."

So the Great Invasion? That amazing moment where both JP and EN servers fought together against an encroaching threat, saving each others' stories in the process? That moment of cross-national bonding over wanting to protect what we loved? That didn't matter.

But it did, the devs' efforts made it matter. The promos, the sudden UI shift that added a new layer to the setting, actual story segments...there was real effort and passion on display, echoing the players'. Will the devs work be cast aside too, so easily?

Of course, there's some revenge to be had: I'll keep my swords, Saniwa OC, and the Citadel they lived in in my heart. When it hurts less, I'll imagine their daily lives again, the complicated harem I envisioned, and perhaps any new swords who catch my eye will join them.

Earth's Kamen Riders were all leading their respective lives as they saw fit after a year of fighting enemies on a weekly or daily basis, when strange creatures began appearing and attacking indiscriminately.

Kouta was simply going on his business on the new planet he created when he felt something was invading his domain.

He was able to get glimpses of the life he left on Earth as Zawame's armored Riders used the powers given by the Helheim forest to protect the city, the country, and the world as a whole. He was even able to power up Zack's Jimber arms despite them being lower class lockseeds, and were weaker than his or Kaito's have been.

"Kouta, what's going on?" Mai asked, concerned.

"You feel it too?"

"It's trying to eat our planet."

Suddenly, multiple zippers appeared near them. Both former humans took a risk and glanced down at the opening the zippers created as the lockseeds' respective fruits descended to it.

There both former humans saw the chaos that surrounded their former home planet. Literal lines between dimensions appeared on the streets of Zawame as unknown creatures indiscriminately attacked civilians.

"Kouta…"

"You know we can't, Mai." Kouta shook his head. "We risk having the Helheim forest invade Earth if we meddle in their affairs too much."

"But…"

"Interesting, a power unknown to me."

"What would you have us do?"

"Capture those people who transformed using fruits and bring them to me."

"Someone's attempting to reach for the forbidden fruit," Kouta frowned. "I can't turn a blind eye to this."

"If you're going there, bring some of the Helheim's fruits to them," Mai suggested. "I feel like we are going to need every help we can get."

Kouta waived his hand and weaved himself a small basket where he stored a few of Helheim's fruits.

"Be careful, Kouta."

"I will."

Kouta teleported from his planet, via opening a zipper, to Earth but his surroundings were unfamiliar to him.

"Who dares trespass Earthrealm's Jinsei?!" A commanding voice demanded.

"T-trespass! You're the one invading my world!" Kouta replied indignantly.

"Japanese?" The voice questioned. "Perhaps an Earthrealmer?"

Suddenly a lightning strike occurred indoors and a man wearing a triangular straw hat appeared before Helheim's god.

"You're no Earthrealmer!" The man that appeared through lightning growled. "Begone from this place vile creature."

"V-vile?!" Came another of Kouta's indignant reaction. "I'll have you know I was once human!"

"Your lies will deceive no man, to the Netherrealm with you!" The man exclaimed. "You face Raiden, god of Thunder."

Sensing an attack, Kouta had forgone his usual transformation routine and materialized his Kiwame arms around him as a banana-themed spear and an orange-themed sword appeared in his hand.

"Peculiar weapons will not save you."

"Let's see about that!"

Raiden vowed to send the creature that looked human to the Netherrealm as quickly as he could. It appeared that dimension was fusing with another, and this time he cannot count on the Justice League's assistance, as they do not exist in this dimension.

Try as he might to search for the Justice League but he could not find them.

According to Takeda's reports, there were heroes in the land of the Rising Sun called Kamen Riders and Sentai, masked people who fought this dimension's various threats.

They were however urban legends with no way of validating them as fact or fiction.

As Raiden absentmindedly fought the creature, he couldn't help but admire the creature's kombat. This one was strong, strong enough to rival him, the god of Thunder.

"Kiwami Au Lait!"

Suddenly bananas erupted from the ground and sent Raiden flying to the Jinsei's roof. He had not expected this creature to be matching him in every aspect, he hadn't even expected that he, as someone who wasn't holding back, to be matched by this unfamiliar creature.

Raiden shook his head before he sent multiple bolts of electricity to his opponent, all of which were blocked by a melon-themed shield.

Kiwi-themed chakrams were then thrown at the thunder god, which was swatted away easily.

"Ichigo charge!"

A huge strawberry appeared before Raiden before it barraged him with multiple strawberry projectiles that couldn't defend at once or else he'd destroy the Jinsei.

Raiden needed to be on the offensive. He cannot stay on the defensive. He decided to taunt the creature into following him.

"I must laud you for trespassing my domain to attack me in an attempt to destabilize Earthrealm's champions," Raiden stated as he slowly descended from the ceiling. "You are one of the better warriors under Shao Kahn's thumb. However you are still weak for resorting to underhanded tactics, if you truly believe you can best a god, then follow me and we fight fairly."

"I don't have time for this!" Kouta growled as he teleported away from the cave.

"Peculiar."

I’m treating my EN to JP TouRaBu thing basically as a “planned isekai”, and just realized that would actually be a pretty interesting (and kinda horrifying) fic idea, especially since I’m only missing a handful (24 missing, not considering the Kiwame of those who have it available, mostly event-only) of swords on EN

Leaving your world as it’s being destroyed, losing the people (swords) you know so well, and going to a world almost identical to yours, including those surrounding you, but none of them remember you?  You’re starting over as a new presence in their world, despite them being so familiar in yours.
