You remember when dick was in space (for the first time with the new teen titans) because komand’r took Kory back and they needed to save her? And you remember how he understood it was a war they were fighting and that they needed to do what they had to in order to survive it? And how when Gar told him he needed to control Kory, dick wondered if he even should try to stop her from killing her sister? And how he literally killed to save her (there’s some deniability but he’s literally hitting them with lasers described as deadly right in the head)? I do.

#something about dick doing this and understanding it’s war and war doesn’t always give you the choice to follow a moral code if you want to #live through it and make sure the one you love make it through too #and something about the change when the scenario called for it being oh so #similar to how Kory tried to pause her own teachings and relationship with combat while on earth #then despite knowing this was the type of battle Kory was raised for #the series had dick talking about how she was becoming more barbaric #and uncontrolled at times #when I think it would have been a much more interesting if they #instead chose to explore dick and Kory’s relationship with this “switch” or coming of age discovery + assimilation side by side #kory learning the balance of her heritage (she is tamaranian no matter what ) and her new life (she’s on earth and the battle there is #not the same solar system wide war she was raised to fight. The things she was taught are true for her home and her people but this is a #new home for her. a new beginning. a new life with new family. She is tamaranian and always will be but for now she’s on earth)#dick leaning to balance his past ( Bruce was his mentor and guide. he taught morality and ethics and all but gave him a what should you do #Guide during their years working together) and who he wants to be #(he’s not Bruce and what Bruce needs or thinks necessary doesn’t always ring true for dick too #he’s stepping into being his own man and part of that is forming his own views and opinions separate from his parent/mentor. I just made a will and healthcare proxy thing online, I just need to get witnesses and a notary to sign.

the funniest thing about having to report fraud on my credit card today was the girl on the phone listing all my transactions to me to see if i recognized them and literally 100% of them were all media purchases liiiiike wow I really have 1 hobby and 1 hobby only don't I

#it was like #netflix? prime? criterion channel? disney+? youtube?#yep yep yep yep all me #cineplex? nintendo? local bookstore? kindle? patreon?#yep all me as well #also the awkward moment where i had to confirm i paid for tumblr this month lol like who does that #literally i think the only purchases she listed that werent me being a nerd about media consumption was my car insurance and phone bill #anywayz someone used my credit card to buy something that was 540 dollars on amazon today!!!!#locked that shit down #they bought a deep cut band saw that they were trying to send to a suburban house in whitby ontario #the way in which i can literally google street view the asshole's home who stole my shit because they added their address to my account...#i dont know how they got it but MAYBE this will force me to get a new computer since i know outdated ones are bad for getting scammed on #somebody was also selling all my 1 cent stupid steam trading cards with my steam account last night #i cant even use frikkin steam to play games right now yet i can still get scammed on there apparently argh. so many passwords to change #i wish they'd do away with that fuckass steam trading card system #like i don't even care about those at all but that's the second time that this has happened to me now #p

#i learned autism runs in my family today OK...... some things are making sense about me now #the relief i feel coming home. wow!! i have a therapy appointment tomorrow morning too!!!! with a new therapist who takes my insurance #thank you @ my obgyn for coordinating this. literally the best patient care i've ever experienced in my life #i'm so tired lol i went on a hike with my sister this afternoon after waking up at 4am and having panic attacks all morning #so i'm gonna go read leaves of grass until my bf is ready for bed so we can watch love is blind and go to sleep together on facetime :)#and i'll respond to messages and stuff tomorrow! i appreciate all of you so so much! thank you!

#remembered that post advice like 'if youre dealing with a difficult person the best thing you can do is cry' and let it rip #trying to get my passport application filed. she was like you're supposed to do this in your home state #maam i cant file this in new hampshire #okay i need your social security card #maam they told me at the other post office my medical insurance counted as a 2nd form of id so i have all the cards and photocopies-#nope that's not right. the state department doesn't care about that #oh i guess i can't do it today then #she looked at me like i was an idiot. you dont have your social security card with you??#'n... no?? i keep it safe??' 'Really.' and then i burst into tears.#and then she was immediately like oh no baby just go home and get it here you have all your other docs and your application perfect #no honey you're Fine just come back before three and i'll process it. okay??#lord i am having a Day.#home i go. war is hell.

#my old dentist was completely booked up when i can get back home and i need a routine cleaning....#at least they have an in house payment plan bc i don't have dental insurance 😬#i wanna talk about me #the in house plan seems like a deal too like the plan for 2 cleanings/1 xray and a bunch of other guff was only like #a hundred bucks more than what the lady quoted me for the new patient cleaning appt on its own?#i guess that's how they getcha...but i'll get got in that case dental health is important #also b''h my parents still help me pay for medical expenses.
