Plans might change but in thinking hes there cause hawks is doing an investigation cause the Shie hassaikai is supposed to be like, done, they were being transported to a villain hospital after the shie hassaikai arc and "something" happens

The news reports that the members are missing kidnapped or dead but they dont know what happened

Hawks is very skeptical and is doing an investigation, Tokoyami wants to help with the investigation I guess and gets roped into this mess

I think I'm gonna have Hawks trying to be a spy but when he sees the league and shie hassaikai are a big found family and lady nagant (his self adopted sister) is there hes gonna be like "you know what? Pog, I dont have to be morally wrong with these people but I dont wanna rat them out"

hi huri im having Thoughts so you get to HEAR THEM !!!! thinking about heartbreak trio body mods and the ways they express themselves... cq has a ton of tattoos that were a bit frivolous to get and they all look like theyre just there for aesthetic reasons but for her it was a reclamation of her own body and a way to make herself look "tougher" as she transitioned to her las nevadas persona... she also has a bunch of piercings for the same reason. i think if schlatt got any tattoos it would be for very specific reasons like quietly honouring someone/a memory/etc and i think she would have a tattoo of the manberg flag on either her inner wrist or the back of her neck. for piercings for her i think shed just have basic ear piercings and i think during manberg she would only have plain studs but then post ln she would wear like big dangly earings and shit. i also think schlatt with a clip on one of her ears goes hard as hell. something something you act like the owner/ruler but really that nation owned you. and then i think cwil has a lot of tattoos but theyre all like of memories or things that matter to her, like she has a huge lmanburg flag across her back and her army number on her arm or wrist and the pog 2020 logo on her neck and shit. she also has ear piercings and i think shed also get a nose bridge and eyebrow piercing but those are less meaningful and more for fun. on the same note schlatt wears a lot of rings and necklaces and shit and has her horns adorned a lot with jewerly to seem more powerful. cq doesnt wear rings (not anymore.) but she wears simple chains and band bracelettes and chokers. cwil wears a choker and not much else besides her piercings, theyre overstimulating to her (contrast to schlatt stimming with her rings and shit.) also finally schlatt has a cane post ln that she claims is only for aesthetics and its like gold with beautiful adornments and patterns and stuff but its really to help her walk even though the fanciness makes it impractical. cwil uses a cane but its just a simple engraved wooden one. cq probably needs a cane post balconey death ln finale but uses more of a staff with a huge 8 ball at the stop set in engraved gold. they HAUNT me

in my mind ermmm. i think early cwil is kind of a pussy so huge bodymods would've be a little difficult (like cq is canonically a weiner as well but i think he has a spiteful level of pushing through pain tht early cwilb doesn't TO ME.) but i do think cwilb would have like little personal things,,,like small and personal stick and pokes, that have him complaining and giggling the whole time, smthing done over lmanberg campfires that sorta thing. they're like smudged and messy and done by ppl like ctoms n cniki and he'll like run his hands over it and think abt stuff and EXPLODE. revival style he might push for more and more things for the sensation so ycan see the difference between the smudgy old stuff and the bright new pieces and the commentary on that in of itself. 🤨👉 my mind

Game Review: The Beauty of Skullgirls

***UPDATE JUNE 28, 2023**

While my original review will remain unedited, I have changed my recommendation to "Not Recommended" due to Hidden Variable & Future Club catering to the SJW/Woke/PC crowd by censoring Skullgirls with its latest update. And I am calling on everyone to speak out against the developers and boycott this beloved game until the developers give in to pressure and reverse their decision. Whatever it takes. They're not only censoring art, but they're also taking away what made Skullgirls great. This is a new low and until the developers undo this big mistake, I am boycotting this game and not even updating to the new version at all. And given the huge negative backlash, I doubt I'm alone.

Do not buy this game or it’s dlc, not even during a sale until the developers change course.

Now this is a game I never thought I'd give a review for. Ever since I bought this game on PS3 back in 2012, I was hooked instantly with it's art design and gameplay. But, like the Pogs craze and every boy band in human existence, I eventually moved on to other fighting games despite coming back once in a while to check out new characters like Big Band, Squiggly and Beowulf. I still bought the game on other consoles I owned and eventually on PC, but my mind was still set on other games. However, with the recent announcement of brand new content and characters like Annie coming via a season pass that's still more reasonably priced than every Dead or Alive Season Pass that Koei Tecmo has ever released, I felt it was finally time to brush off my skills and jump back into the game after a long time. How does it still hold up 9 years after it was released, you're wondering? Today, you will finally know the answer as I review the beauty that is Skullgirls!

REVIEW

The premise of this game? Very simple. The evil Skullgirl (aka Marie) has appeared and now a bunch of scantly clad or conservatively dressed girls battle each other so one of them can defeat her and claim the Skull Girl and either destroy it or make a wish that I'm sure will have no consequences for them whatsoever. And that's about it. But each character's story is a treat to watch as you get to learn about them as they interact with other characters on their way to defeat the Skullgirl. Whether it be Filia trying to learn of her past or my main Cerebella seeking to earn her adoptive mobster father figure's attention & respect, you'll be cling to your couch from beginning to middle to end.

That's very much it for the story. Now on to the gameplay. Skullgirls plays like a traditional 6-button fighter with punches and kicks ranging from light, medium and heavy. Some do little damage while others stagger the opponent allowing you to beat the crap out of them 30-40-80 hit combo style. Super moves are easy perform with a simple combination of quarter circle motions or dragon punch motions and two punch or kick buttons. What really makes this game stand up with other fighting games that it has elements of Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom Vs SNK 2 and Darkstalkers. If you want to select three fighters? Go right ahead. Wanna duke it out with two characters? Go for it. Wanna go solo against a team of three instead? Doesn't matter. It's your game. You get to choose which characters you feel comfortable with whether it be a zoning character or a rushdown character. With two or more characters on your team, you can select choose a tag assist move or create one for each character, giving players total freedom and with the right mastery and tag assist moves, you can cheat your way to victory unless the other player uses a combo breaker. In 1v1 matches, it plays like a Darkstalkers game where even if you deplete the other fighter's lifebar, you still have to beat them a second time and your health bar doesn't regenerate like it should in a Darkstalkers game.

The main selling point of this amazing game is its characters. When it comes to me as a fighting game player, I sometimes like to play as female fighters too. The difference between me and the average male who plays Dead or Alive purely for the slow motion shots when two female are fighing? I look for two things in a female fighter: A catching visual design AND a good fighting style that I can master with enough practice. Which is why I can kick your butts with Cerebella in this game and with Mai Shiranui, Tina Armstrong, Kunimitsu, Cammy, Baiken, Cham Cham and Rainbow Mika in other fighting games. Skullgirls has an entire roster consisting of mainly female fighters and a couple of male fighters since this is the Bizzaro version of Street Fighter II. Each character has a unique design, personality and fighting style that players can pick and choose. Filia fights with her monstrous hairpiece. Ms. Fortune can fight even with her head off. Valentine is a sexy ninja nurse that gives a classic Animaniacs quote new meaning. Big Band is a towering giant who fights with musical instruments. Peacock is a 1930's cartoon version of Itchy & Scratchy. Cerebella is a strong grappler who fights with both her fists and the ones on her hat. Heck, I can go on and on, but the point is this game has an amazing roster with more like Annie and Umbrella on the way.

The game's art style is an amazing visual treat. Whether it be the background designs or even the character designs, the artist for this game deserve a freakin' medal because Skullgirls deserves to stand with the likes of other visually appealing games like Cuphead. The animations are also fluid and stunning, especially whenever Cerebella uses her hat in attacks or when Beowulf performs a Cossack dance while standing on his chair. The online modes are solid as well and provide good connectivity during matches. The tutorial mode offers a great vast of knowledge and character trials to help you sharpen your stills as well. Did I mention this game has a great soundtrack composed by Michiru Yamane?

This game has no flaws whatsoever. Am I biased towards Skullgirls, you're asking if you've managed to make it all the way to this point in the review? Is half of My Little Pony's fanbase made up of insecure males with questionable horse fetishes? Absolutely! Skullgirls is the best fighting game I've played in recent memory and after 9 years, it still holds up even with its small roster and gameplay. And I'm still surprised it still gets major updates to this day... unlike MvC: Infinite. But sadly, it's the one game that major tournaments like the now Sony-owned EVO rarely look at when it comes to deciding what games get included in their lineup. Skullgirls is and still remains the underdog that deserves its share of the spotlight with the likes of classic games like Tekken 3, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Guilty Gear and Virtual Fighter.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

I absolutely love this game. I've played it at launch, I've played it a few times after the releases of new characters back in the day and I've slowly started to play it again even more and more with the release of upcoming content. If you haven't played this game yet or dropped it for the still sluggish Street Fighter V or the Goku-infested Dragon Ball FighterZ, give those games a break and get yourselves a copy of Skullgirls immediately. You'll find there's more to this game than just female fighters getting into cat fights.

Highly recommended.

i am making all sorts of forms, and they need names for actions associated with them. so, login form's action is called log, registration form is reg. but then i needed a name for "forgot password" and it naturally became fog. now i'm making "change password" form, and it's going to be, that's right, pog. what's next? change display name? dog. change avatar? userpog. change email? dogog? .... wait what ok, so in russian @ sign is called "little dog". potentially this could be sobakog bc (female) dog is "sobaka" (haha i just typoed it as femail).

But for now there is only the heart button. Baby steps! It can be used anonymously. When you login all those likes will be saved in your account. Anons can add only hearts, they can't remove them from the server though, but can clear cookies and add more hearts 😏😎

I really like your art style. I also like those anime art styles where the lines are thin/non-existent and the colors are all like. Idk how to describe it but it's the style that ai has been stealing lately unfortunately :(. I ALSO like old Mushie R art and I like art styles similar to the music video for that new vocaloid song "Mesmerizer".

But my art is cool too!! It's different, and has different strengths and weaknesses, but you know what? I don't have to draw every art style I like. It's not a competition and looking at a pretty piece doesn't mean I have to change my art just because I like someone else's.

You can always change up your art style, I'm not saying you can never change, but if you feel hate for your art then I want you to know that it's not bad art, it's great!! You're just expecting it to be something it's not. And whether you change your art style from here or keep it, remember that this style will always be itself.

Nothing's a competition and your art has a unique beauty all it's own. Don't compare flowers to cathedrals or christmas lights to sunsets.

a multiplayer minecraft roleplay series called "Dream SMP" blew up during the pandemic and the large fandom has made it the new homestuck of "oh fuck the fandom people are here eww cringe aaugh" Poppy Playtime, a horror game series, is massively popular despite being nowhere near finished

disney and pixar are failing to put out good movies now and sony is quickly giving them a run for their money with certified bangers (really good stuff).

Speaking of which, Puss In Boots 2 is the biggest fucking deal. Like, such a big deal. it sounds crazy but believe me.

Also, SPIDERVERSE. The first two films in a trilogy about Spiderman Miles Morales have been released and are....god, so good. They're basically the biggest movies in the world right now?? definitely watch those if you can.

There was a thing called Barbenhiemer where The Barbie Movie (a colorful semi-musical live action movie about barbie) and Oppenheimer (a gritty drama about the nucular bomb) were released at the same time and everyone inexplicably drew crossover fanart and saw them both back to back on the same day.

There's a new Avatar (the blue alien one set in pandora) movie.

Everything is "core" now, which...okay so basically you know how different "aesthetics" (things like colors, clothing styles, filters on photographs, movies, music, even places or hobbies) have certain vibes? like something might feel edgy or cozy? well now people are seperating those out into Aesthetics or Cores. I think the best way to understand this is to either use the aesthetic wiki or look up the big three- Cottagecore, Dark Academia, Kidcore- and browse each tag on it's own for a while to get a feeling for what they're talking about.

Will Wood (sometimes Will Wood And The Tapeworms), a Dark Cabaret music artist, became an icon for neurodivergent gays semi-against his will (he didn't want to be typecast as only music for one group of people) and is now deliberately releasing music that's outside of his usual style now and then to try and break association.

AI art, photos, chatbots, videos, etc are here and sometimes convincing enough to end up on the actual news, and companies and movie studios are starting to use it to do the creative work for them instead of paying real people. there's been writers' strikes over this. these AI are also stealing samples from the web without permission- fanfic sites like ao3, tumblr artist blogs, etc all being scanned and condensed as data for the machine. This is generally considered theft among artists, because we didn't give permission for our creative works to be stolen, and it's very upsetting overall!!!!!
