there's something about mira that's so depressing to me cuz like. imagine. ur life sucks so bad that you go to a sea witch and offer up your voice so that you can fall in love with a man. you grow legs and everytime you move you're in excruciating pain and you can't talk and the love of your life falls in love with someone else. you're offered your voice and tail back if you kill him, but you know you could never do that because even if he barely knows you exist, you love him so much. so then you're stuck on an island of boats and all you can do is dance(despite the excruciating pain) while your father(who you hate) tears apart the world to come find you and control you again. the first people you can communicate with in years come save you, and the sea witch gives you your voice back before leaving again. you have a good two days with these new friends, and then introduce you to even more friends. and then those new friends chase away your first friends as they leave you behind. you don't even fight. all you have is a voice that hurts and a body still stabbing you whenever you walk. you just want to die. and then your friends come back and save you and tell you that you don't have to die and that you can live. you don't want to die.

Brennan Lee Mulligan you cannot have me feeling empathy for every villain in this story. You cannot have me feeling emotional over a being trying to consume the world wanting to erase their own story and the love they obviously felt for their once children. You cannot have me understand the desperate fear of powerful beings afraid of those even more powerful. You gotta stop man, I'm experiencing too many emotions
