If you wanna date someone who’s basically impossible to get to know date a Scorpio moon. I find they really don’t trust anyone. Not even close friends that have known them for years. Juno Retrograde in Scorpio - Are our relationships doomed?

As we know the mythology behind Juno, the wife of Zeus, we may take it to apply to the placement in our astrological charts. I am here today speaking about Juno Rx in Scorpio; well, firstly because it is my personal placement, and when it gets personal, then we really know what we are talking about. But also, because I have found it hard to find sources that explain it as it really feels rather than some narration of the meaning of Juno + the meaning of Scorpio and some generic conclusion of the two.

Let's start with Juno. It does represent the wife and although it may the 'scorned' wife (you all know how Zeus was) it is a symbol of a powerful female companion, she became his wife because she did not compromise herself and her values and even in an unhappy marriage, she did not lose her self-esteem.

Now, you may be wondering what is the difference between Juno and Venus. Well, I am the person to tell you since my Venus is in Aquarius squaring my Scorpio Juno. And let me tell you how hard it is to understand why your love doesn't last. If Venus represents love, Venus in Aquarius is friendship so for most of my life I went after guys that were my best friends or I thought i needed to develop a friendship in order to be in love. And then I could never truly commit to a relationship with them, they were never right and I always went for the wrong guys. Why? That's right, because my Juno asked for Scorpio, for depth and intensity that I didn't even know I needed.

We could say that Juno is representative of commitment because not all marriages are based on love (Venus), but I think it's more accurate to say that Juno represents that part of us that only shows up in a committed relationship. We don't see that part of us often, we only see it when we are in a commitment, of course it does not have to be marriage but in that moment when you look at your partner and think I am all in, then your Juno traits will start shining through. That's if you identify as female, I think men seek this in women unconsciously, but that's a story for another time.

Now tackling Juno Rx is a bit complicated. Many of the sources I have found stated that this means that your partners will not take you seriously, will not be open to commitment, or will not respect you as a committed partner. This is not true, though it may be a side effect of it. You see, Juno Rx is scared of commitment and the reason for the fears is within the sign where it is placed. For Juno Rx in Scorpio it is really scary, you are scared of emotional, psychological or even sexual manipulation. I would say similar fears will be found with other water signs, while earth signs would fear more practical aspects such as sharing an income, air signs would fear gaslighting and not being able to have their own opinions or having to compromise their intellectual values, and fire signs simply losing their own sense of self and independence. In any case, you get the gist.

The fact is Juno Rx fears dependency of any kind. Juno Rx thinks without a doubt 'if i depend on this person I am weak and they can take advantage of me'. Of course, it is more intense and can be more psychologically damaging in Scorpio but the point stays true nevertheless. (On a side note, I do correlate the Juno Rx in Scorpio with the Fearful Avoidant Attachment style, for anyone interested in that.)

And the only way to heal this is to master your own self. Yes, yes, yes, everyone says you have to go through personal growth and love yourself to be in a relationship, yada, yada, yada. Unfortunately, it is a necessity for Juno Rx. You can have relationships, even marriages but you will never be truly committed and truly allow yourself to trust your partner until you have attained self-growth and self-mastery. Because what you will do is push them away when they get too close, not accepting what they offer for the fear of dependency, not compromising for the sake of the partnership for the fear of losing oneself. And if you do and you are not ready, you will resent them and it will end in them not respecting you, or not being truly committed because they have seen that you are not.

What is needed with Juno Rx is the feeling that you can do it all yourself, and then you can allow others to do it for you, you can depend on them and you can truly share yourself.

Now of course the flavor of Juno Rx is very much sexual and psychological when it comes to Scorpio and the bad is worst and the good is magic as Scorpio commitment is like no other, so it is definitely a battle worth fighting so you can enjoy what partnership really has to offer.
