Linking this cause its a god damn mood when it comes to looking at how Winx treated Roxy in seasons after 4.
#never stopped being mad what they did with roxy in the end#as they really yeeted her out of the story in S5#brought her back a lil in S6....and yeeted her out again#and then in S7 did give her back...only to nerf her transformation#and also deny her the new animal transformation and even have her time travel stone stolen by the worst sidekick of a villain#just so that she can be sidelined even more

Pairing: Austin Butler x singer/actress fem reader
Warning: age gap (10 years), smut (18+ minors dni), fingering, hand job, fluff
Plot: Back from the hospital you take time to discuss your relationship with Austin, with your best friends. And after he comes over for dinner, the two of you have some alone fun in the car.
Word count:
Disclaimer: everything fake
"Come on sœur, wake up, we're home. Want Matt to carry you up?" Timmy asks whispering, as I rise from the depths of my sleep. With a shake of my head, I deny being carried up, so he helps me out of the car and all the way to the elevator, letting me put my weight on him. My legs still feel a bit tingly, having not walked for a few days. As the elevator doors close, I sigh, happy to be so close to being back home. "You ok?" Timothee asks, taking my sigh of relief as one of pain or discomfort. "Yes, just relieved to be back home." I smile, hugging closer to him, my head resting on his shoulder.
All the silence between us is killing me and I'd like if he were the first to break it, since I don't really know what to say. I still feel very guilty about hiding my relationship with Austin, but I was so scared of his reaction and though, in the back of my mind I know that his reaction to it, was mainly influenced by the way he found out, it still doesn't ease my nerves. "Are you still mad at me?" I mumble, my voice barely above a whisper, half praying that I spoke low enough for him not to hear, what I said. He did hear me, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. My heart is pounding in my ears, anxious with his answer. "No, (y/n) I was never mad at you, just worried. I-" he pauses, "I just am very protective of you, you must understand, he's much too old for you and I know he's your first boyfriend." I open my mouth to remind him of Joshua, but he stops me.
"Joshua doesn't count, I don't know what your intentions were with that boy. Anyway, I just want you to be careful. My reaction was exactly how it was supposed to be, I found out you were in a relationship with a man 10 years older than you, who had a girlfriend no less." My eyes bulge out at the past tense on that statement, Austin told me he was going to end the whole PR relationship, but I guess, even with all my trust in him, I thought he wasn't going to do it. "Had?" The question rolls off of my tongue, before I can stop it. Timothee looks at me a bit confused, with a brow raised. "Yeah, she's in a relationship with a new guy, the gossip pages, say the break up is official. Even with all this, I still need a minute to warm up to him. I guess when you feel better you can ask him to come over for movie night." He says the last part quietly, blushing, making me smile, my heart now resting in my chest, one pressure off of my shoulders.
I don't get to say anything else, the elevator doors opening, bringing into view, my missed apartment. "You're home!" Roxanne says, coming into view and giving me a tight hug. "Yeah, how are Simba and William." I ask, as Timmy helps me to the living room, after taking my shoes off. "Good, Simba is on the couch, William has barely left your room, that cat knew this was not a business trip." She giggles, sitting down on the couch, taking the white and grey cat in her lap, stroking it's fur. I wince in discomfort when my laughter turns into a small cough that dies down, fast enough.
"How are you feeling?" Timothee asks, helping me walk over to the couch. Roxanne, who's been watching my cats, sits opposite from me, looking rather angry. "I'm good, a bit sore, but good. Roxi, are you mad at me?" I ask looking her up and down, trying to read her, but she's stoic and doesn't let any emotions show. A grimace ghosts over her face, before her freckled cheeks go back to a poker face. "No." I can see she wants to say more, her eyes oscillating between me and Timothee, as if he's the reason why she won't say what's on her mind.
Timmy, perceptive as always, excuses himself from the living room, saying he has to make a quick phone call. As soon as his figure is out of sight, Roxanne jumps from her spot, over to me, grabbing my face in her hands. "How could you not tell me, you scored so good, girl no wonder you left Joshua, I mean, yeah he was cute and sweet and all, but come on he's no Austin Butler. Now tell me, is he a good kisser? Is he sweet? Is he romantic? Does he treat you right? Did you stay with him in Cannes? Oh shit, did you sleep with him? Is he good in bed? I bet he gives good oral, he looks like he can eat pussy well..." her rant is quite amusing, but her questions become too personal way too soon and Timothee is just down the hall, in the kitchen, I can hear him speak softly on the phone so I can only imagine, he's heard most, if not all questions Roxy had.
She's talking too fast for me to respond, so all I can do is sit there and blush a darker shade with each question that rolls off of her tongue. "Oh my god! He did eat you out, didn't he? Tell me was it great? Was it phenomenal?" She asks. I scoff and take her hands off of my face, to back away just a few inches, since she's all up in my face. "Can we not? The last thing I want is to talk about that with Timmy here." I tell her, annoyed that she didn't think about that.
"Yeah and I really don't need to hear the words 'eat pussy' out of your mouth Roxanne" Timmy scolds her, coming in with a huge bowl of popcorn in hand. I gasp, terrified that he actually heard our talk and Roxanne sticks her tongue out at him, grabbing the bowl out of his hand and shoving some popcorn into her mouth. "Oh sweet lord." I mumble under my breath as he comes to sit next to me. He pushes the bowl of popcorn towards me, encouraging me to eat some, which I do, feeling quite hungry. "I ordered pizza, should be here soon." Timmy reads my mind. "Great, I'm starving."
"Is he a good cook? Austin I mean, I saw him talking about it, he said it's his hobby." Roxy pops her head, from behind Timmy. "Roxanne, I-." My eyes move between Timmy and her and she scolds, pouting like a little child. "Can we kick him out?" She asks, making me snort, as Timmy feigns hurt, placing a hand over his heart. "Oh don't act surprised, she won't do girl talk if you're here." Roxanne tells him and before things escalate I talk. "You can sleep in my room tonight, we'll talk then, let's not give Timmy an aneurysm right now." Her face lights up with excitement and I see Timmy visibly relax, now that he won't have to hear any more questions about the turns and twists of mine and Austin's relationship.
"Thank you!" Timmy whispers, before we all turn our attention back to the tv. It's times like this when I'm with the family I choose that I feel at home. So I lean my head on his shoulder and Roxy moves over to sit next to me, cuddling tight to me.
𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬
"Come on guys, let's get you to bed, you fell asleep" Timothee shakes me and Roxy awake, taking the warm blanket off of us. We both groan in disagreement, being way too comfy and warm, right here under the blankets. "I thought you guys wanted to gossip without me?" Timmy teases and just like a dog who's favorite toy just squeaked, Roxanne jumps up. "Come on now, come, I got lots of questions." She drags me off of the couch and into the direction of my bedroom, making both me and Timmy, laugh at her.
"Can I shower and put on my pjs?" I ask giggling at her silliness. "I guess." She huffs crossing her arms over her chest and plopping down on my bed. "But be quick, or else I'm coming after you." Roxy warns. I show her a thumbs up and make a mental note to be as quick as possible. I have to admit this bubbly feeling I have in the pit of my stomach is weird, but I'm actually excited to finally be able to share some of my happiness with one of my best friends. So I shower fast, drying myself off and putting on my silk pajamas, braiding my hair and applying some lotion to my dry skin.
When I enter my room again Roxy is on her phone, scrolling on TikTok, but as soon as she hears my footsteps, she lifts her head up and almost throws her phone off of the bed. "Come sit." She pats the spot next to her and I happily oblige. "Ok so what do you want to know?" I ask. "Everything, from beginning to present." Roxy bites her lip in excitement. "Ok. So... Soon after the gala, he texted me to see if I was feeling any better, you know I got sick. We kept talking and then I went out for coffee with him and Kaia. I asked them both to join me for dinner. He showed up alone with two bouquets of my favorite flowers. He ended up staying the night-"
"Did you sleep with him then?" She gasps, her eyes full of wonder. "No. He slept in the guest bedroom. The next morning, he cooked me breakfast, then we went out for a walk, you know we were photographed." Roxy nods her head and I breathe deep, going further with my story. "After that rude fan encounter, we came back to my place, we fell asleep on the couch. In the evening when we woke up he made grilled cheese sandwiches and he told me that his relationship with Kaia was just PR." I sigh, watching Roxanne's features for any judgment, but I find none.
"I don't know why he told me or what he was thinking back then-" she interrupts me quickly. "It sounds to me like all he wanted to do was be with you, if you ask me I thing he had a crush on you, before you had one on him." I blush playfully slapping her arm, which she rubs dramatically. "So then we had the Variety interview, when I tell you, that at one point, I was looking into his eyes and for a moment it felt like it was just me and him in that room, no one else. He asked me to come over at his house in LA, I was followed by some paps, got pretty scared. Somehow when I got to his place he just held me in his arms and we kissed. From then on we tried to steal every moment we could."
I tell her all about his visit to Canada, while I was filming, about all those small gestures that made me fall so hard for Austin , for his heart and soul. "So now in Cannes, you shared a room with him? Matt was ok with it?" She asks with a brow raised. "Matt has actually been pretty cool about it all, I actually think he's on Austin's side, keeps saying Austin brought me back to life or something." William my cat, comes up on the bed and curls in my lap, purring like a motor. "So you haven't slept with him yet?" I push my lips in a thin line, shaking my head. "No, we've done things, but we haven't had actual sex yet."
"Would you want to? Like do you feel like he's the one you want as your first?" She asks. "I think so, yes. I love him and I trust him. Rox he left the gorgeous model, daughter of Cindy Crawford, for me. I know it was PR, but still the move, could have hurt him in the public eye." I couldn't really express how much it means to me that he did all of that, I can't wait to speak to him. Like on cue my phone vibrates and I pick it up to see what it is, my face instantly lighting up at the sight of his name on the screen. "Is it him?" Roxanne asks, coming over to my side to look at my phone screen. There's actually a chain of messages, all sent over the time spawn of the 3 hours since I left the hospital.
Austin💜🧶
Did you get home safe baby?
I'm guessing you're sleeping
I hope you're ok
Call me when you can.
Ok I'm starting to get a bit worried, but I trust you're ok
Now I know I look like an idiot texting you nonstop, but I just need to know you're ok
I love you 💜🧶
"Holly shit, girl, my guy really loves you, 60 messages all about how he hopes you're ok? And that he loves you?" I blush a deep shade, looking at the 3 moving dots showing that he's preparing to write another message, but it never comes, the dots disappearing. I frown at the phone and I'm ready to text him, when the FaceTime call takes me by surprise and I answer immediately, by accident.
"Baby? Thank god, I was about to say, fuck it and drive all the way to your place." Austin says, visibly agitated, but slowly calming down, now that he knows I'm ok. "Oh well hello, you must be Roxanne." He says, pointing to the ginger girl looking at him from over my shoulder. She blushes, waving at him, somehow acting incredibly shy, which is quite out of character for her, but I guess that's the effect Austin has on people. "Yes, hi, you can actually call my Roxy, Roxanne is way too formal." She tells him.
"Noted, Roxy. Are you girls ok?" He asks. "Yes we watched a movie with Timmy and now we were just talking, I had my phone on silent. I'm sorry, for worrying you." I apologize, licking my lips nervously. "That's ok, I was over worrying, I'm glad you had a nice night. You feeling any better?" Austin, brushes his hair back. "Well I'm ok, all the talking Roxy's got me doing, is helping with my unused vocal cords." I say and Austin giggles. "Well I'm glad to hear."
"Hey, Butler, why don't you come for lunch tomorrow? We'd love to have you." There it is, the Roxy I know, the one who's never afraid to speak her mind or ask inappropriate questions. I side eye her, praying she'll start laughing, saying she was just joking. Austin looks quite taken back, scratching the back of his neck, looking at me, silently asking me what he should do, but I'm not sure what the answer here would be. "If you love her, as you say, you'll man up, come here and hold your own against Timmy and me. I'm more forgiving than he is, but I can mess you up real good if I want to. You must understand he's just being protective, hiding won't make him ease up to you, it'll just make him wonder why you're not declaring to him, all you say to her."
I'm amazed at Roxanne, her words aren't rude or inappropriate, but rather carefully chooses, like she's planed this speech for a while now. All she's saying makes sense and I see Austin, coming to the same realization. "You're right, we'll then if (y/n) is ok with me coming, I don't see why I wouldn't. I'll be there for you my darling." Austin declares, his blue eyes burning into mine. "Yeah, I'm ok with it, you can come." In all honesty I want him to come, am I scared of putting Timmy and him in the same room too soon? Yes. But nonetheless this will have to happen and I think that sooner is better than later. "I'd like you to come, but maybe dinner would be better, that way I have a few more hours to prepare Tim for it, I'm sure it'll go great, but just.."
"I get it, darling, I'll be there at 6 pm, is that good?" Austin asks, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand, he looks tired. "You look tired baby." I say, bringing my knees up to my chest and resting my chin on top. "I'm ok, I'm going to sleep after we talk." I can tell that he's only telling me half the truth. "Ok, then catch some sleep, I still have some more beans to spill to my best friend." I laugh as I give Roxy a side hug. Austin giggles as well and smiles as she pokes her tongue out at him. "Ok then, I'll let you girls spill all the beans. But before I go, what's your favorite color Roxy?" I quirk a brow at him, intrigued by his interest in my best friend, but also sure he has a good reason for it. "Yellow...what are you up to Butler?" She asks squinting her eyes at him, but he simply shrugs his shoulders, smiling. "I'm going to see you tomorrow night girls, sleep well." Austin ends the call, leaving me a flustered mess and Roxy an overexcited bundle of joy.
"Let me show you something." I tell her, getting up from the bed, going over to my dresser, where in the top drawer I keep the blanket Austin is crocheting for me. "What's that it's cute, last we talked you were working on a sweater. Did you finish...?" I'm just waiting for her to figure it out and it seems like she's putting together the pieces. "Austin made it, with all of our busy schedules we unfortunately spend many days apart, so he makes a heart for each day, as you can see, five months is a long time." I put the blanket in her hands and she analyzes it. "That's so, wow, girl I don't, he's really serious about you, damn." She gasps. "I mean I'll still be on the lookout for him to misstep, but I can see why you wouldn't doubt him." Roxy folds the blanket neatly, setting on the bed next to her. She has no idea how wrong she is. "I have doubts, I love him and I'm sure he loves me too, but Roxy, I've seen toxic when it comes to relationships, so I'm scared shitless. I tried so hard not to love him, I dragged Joshua along to try and erase him from my mind, I'm surprised Joshua is still such a good friend to me, I was horrible to him. I just couldn't help falling for Austin, I can't help that I'm so happy it happened, but every day, I'm scared he'll wake up and realize I'm not what he wants, so he'll pick up and leave. I'm mad at myself because I want to be independent and not care about that, because I've promised myself that I'll never loose my mind over a boy."
"Come here!" Roxanne opens her arms and I rest into her chest, closing my eyes. "I'm going to be here no matter what and so is Timmy, we love you." She says, pulling the duvet over us and turning the light off.
𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬
As I wake up, feeling finally rested for the first time in what feels like forever, I go to the bathroom and do my routine, picking a simple outfit, for the day. "Morning sunshine!" I sing waking Roxy up, so she can go and do her thing in the bathroom as well. "Morning" she groans, turning on her side and covering her face with the pillow. Laughing I pull the pillow off her face and go over to the window, opening the blinds and letting the July sun shine in. "Ok you evil angel I'm up, I'm up." She says, squinting her eyes at the bright light. "I'm going to the kitchen." I tell her, walking out of the room, hearing only another annoyed grunt from her.
My cats are already in the kitchen, nibbling on their food, that Timmy has put out for them. "Coffee?" He asks , pushing a cup my way. "Thanks." He doesn't look angry today, he actually looks very calm, sipping his coffee and reading the news on his phone. I want to tell him about our dinner plans, but the fact already has me sweating and taping my fingers against the cup. The sound of my nails against the hard ceramic gets his attention. "Everything ok? You feel sick?" Timmy asks, putting down his phone and looking me up and down.
I shake my head, breathing deeply, as he's face goes from concerned to confused. "So last night Austin called" I start, unsure if I should keep talking or not, he's poker face is just too good. "And?" Timmy pushes, obviously curious. "And Roxy asked him to come for dinner." He sighs, brushing a hand through his messy curls. My pulse is through the roof and I wipe my sweaty palms on my leggings, chewing on my lips. "Ok, listen, I told you, I don't hate him, I just want you to be treated right, if he does that, he might end up being one of my favorite people in the world." I don't know why it surprises me that he's saying that, it's Timothee, one of the most heartfelt people I know. "(Y/n)?"
I realize I was stuck with my mouth agape, so I shake back into reality. "Sorry, guess I was expecting something else" I explain blinking fast. "Come here sœur." He waves me over to him and I happily oblige, hugging him tight. "So what are we feeding Butler?" Timmy ask, making me giggle as we break apart our hug. "I'm thinking I should cook, make one of mom's veggie casseroles? The one with green beans and chicken, I haven't had it in forever." I pour some cereal into a bowl and add my milk, putting it into the microwave to warm up, yeah I know, I like it warm, don't come for me. "Ok, but doesn't that mean you have to call your mom? For the recipe?" Timmy asks, pointing out the obvious. I take my breakfast out of the microwave and start eating the sugary cereal. "Eh yeah, I need to anyway, she's my mom, I can't hide from her." He takes a spoon from the drawer, coming over to sit next to me. "Ok, I'll be here, hm I still don't get why you like these, they taste like sweet wood shavings." He grimaces. "No one said you could eat any!" I say, dragging the bowl from under his nose. We both laugh, eating together my bowl of cereal, basically having a little spoon fight. "Hey you guys, what's all the fun about?" Roxy comes in, jumping up on the counter and picking an apple form the fruit basket. "Just the shitty tasteless cereal our friend here likes." Timmy says, putting the empty bowl in the dishwasher. Roxanne bites into her apple and crinkles her nose. "Yeah girl I don't get how you can eat that." She agrees
"And she's cooking dinner." Timothee tells her, handing her a cup of coffee, which she happily takes. "Well good thing I'm all stocked up on my probiotics." She jokes, as I shake my head in disbelief. "I like all the trust you guys have in me. But I've decided to be my best at cooking and I'll make the best meal ever." I tap my hands against the kitchen counter, smiling. "Now, I'll be in the study, talking to my mom." Both of their faces drop. "I'll be fine, I'm a big girl." I assure them, already heading in the direction of the study.
Looking out the big tall window, I sink in the huge leather chair, fiddling with my phone in my hand. Finally after what feels like forever I open the contacts app, calling my mom. I put the phone to my ear and listen to the agonizing ringing sound. Eventually the ringing stops and there's silence. "Hello!" My moms voice comes in and I suck in a deep breath, my heart squeezing painfully in my chest. "Mom, hi! So I was thinking to cook your chicken and green beans casserole for dinner, but I don't have the recipe." I wait patiently for her to respond. "Ok honey, get a pen and paper, it's not hard at all, I promise." I set the phone on speaker and put it down on the desk, picking a picking up a paper and a pen, writing down everything she's tells me. It's weird how something so simple and small like her telling me one of her recipes makes me so happy.
When she's done, I'm anxious she'll end the call, but she doesn't. "I heard your songs, I loved "dandelions" did you write it about anyone?" She asks. My cheeks burn with emotion. "Yes, he's name is Austin." I whisper, scared of her reaction. "Tell me more about him, is he making you laugh?" Tears gloss in my eyes, joy filling my heart. I don't know what happened, but it seems like my mom is taking a turn for making amends. "Well..."
For the next hour I tell her all about Austin and what I've been up to. I tell her about my upcoming album and movie. We make small talk and joke, it's like the good times we had, like I'm young again and all the dirt in my past never happened, but it did, only thing is that now I think we're trying to start the cleaning process. She tells me about therapy and how she gave it a try, because her hospital requires all staff to go to a few sessions a month. We end on a good note, with her promising to come over to visit and meet Austin.
𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬
The next few hours I spend in the kitchen with Timmy and Roxanne, working on the dish I chose for tonight's dinner. When we're done I take a long shower and get dressed in a champagne silk dress, putting my hair in a half up, half down style.
As I wait for Austin to come, I pace around the living room, checking the clock on the book shelf way too often, because it's been 5.58 pm for the last five time I checked. "Stop pacing, you'll burn a hole through the floor and we'll be having dinner with Glinda, your downstairs neighbor." Roxy chuckles, but the ding of the elevator gets my heart skipping and I almost slip and fall. "Whoa there, the only one whose life should be at risk tonight is Butler, sœur." Timothee jokes, catching me mid fall and I fix up my dress, looking at the opening doors, to see Austin walking through them.
"Good evening!" Austin rasps, he's wearing a dark blue shirt with black dress pants, simple yet he makes it look so sexy. He gives a bouquet of yellow roses to Roxanne, which she takes smiling, muttering a 'thank you' as she smells the flowers. "No need to be fancy we aren't the royals." Timmy jokes, extending a hand to shake with Austin. "Well I'm an overachiever. Here, this one is better served cold" Austin gives Timmy a bottle of wine, Timmy taking it and going straight to the kitchen to put the wine on ice. Lastly Austin turns to me, smiling with all his teeth showing and once again our eyes meet and it's like I forget where we are for a moment. "Hi my darling, for you!" Austin gives me the bouquet of purple star flowers. I ignore the flowers and jump straight to his neck, hugging him. "Aus!" I sigh, burying my face in the crook of his neck, breathing in his delicious sent. "My sweet darling love." He whispers in my ear, running a comforting hand up and down my back. It feels so good to be in his arms, like my source of life just returned to me and I can breathe.
"Agh you guys look very cute, but I think it's best we don't force Timmy to kill unnecessarily" Roxy points out, making us laugh as we put some distance between each other. "Thank you." I say taking the flowers form him and walking to the kitchen to get two vases and put both bouquets in. Roxy takes Austin to the dining room and I hear the both of them talking, but I'm not sure what they're saying.
"Well he has good taste in wine and it seems like he's a true charmer." Timmy says, clicking his tongue. "I know, but you said-"
"I didn't say it's bad thing. I'm giving him a chance, starting fresh, ok? Let's go now!" He pats my back and we make our way to the dining room, where Austin and Roxy are sharing a laugh. "What are you guys laughing about? Hope it's not me." I say, placing a hand on Austin's shoulder and taking a seat next to him. "Of course it's about you she was just telling me about that time you started in a small broadway play as Bella from twilight." I gasp in embarrassment, looking at my mischievous friend. "You did not, I was 12!" I protest, throwing a crouton at her. "Hey no fighting with food at the table, that you did when you were 14" Timmy says, serving the food. "Traitor!" I say under my breath, squinting my eyes at him, making everyone laugh. "So is there any tapes of that? Cause I'd like to see it." Austin asks and knowing the answer, I wish I could shrink. "You bet your ass Butler, but I'm a good best friend, I'm keeping those for later." Roxanne says and I exhale relieved.
Austin takes some food on his fork and I watch him holding my breath, anxious for his reactions to the food. I look at him chew and swallow, tapping my foot against the floor. "Hmm this is so good!"
"Really?" I squeal, smiling form ear to ear, as he turns to look at me. "Did you make this?" He asks, taking another bite. "Yeah, I mean we all did, it's my mom's recipe." I explain, eating as well, surprising myself when I find that he wasn't kidding and the casserole does in fact taste good. "You talked to your mom?" Austin asks, placing a hand on my thigh, drawing circles over the silk material of my dress. "I did, I think we might patch things up, she's in therapy and I think she's finally doing the healing she needed. So am I." I tell him, putting my hand on top of his and squeezing it under the table. "I'm glad." Austin says, he's eyes being as honest as ever, it's obvious he's happy for me.
"So Austin, man I got to say, you did an amazing job with the movie, I watched it before (y/n) came back from Cannes." Timmy tells him and Austin humbly accept the praise. From there the conversation flows freely, and it feels like a dinner between a family. All the pressure is gone and everything feels so familiar and comfortable. We make jokes and laugh, then dessert comes along.
"Did you make the ice cream too?" Austin asks, eating a spoon full of vanilla ice cream. "No, I'm not that good of a cook." I laugh, drinking some wine.
𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬𐄬
"So I guess it went ok?" Austin asks, I decided to walk him down to his car, so we are now alone in the elevator. The few glasses of wine I had, made me definitely tipsy, but I feel so at home with him here. He's completely sober, still having to drive back to his hotel. "Yes it went more than ok, I think they like you." I say, hanging onto his neck. His hands move down over my ass, giving it a good squeeze, making me squeak in surprise. Austin chuckles and continues his way down my body, to the back of my thighs, lifting me up, placing my legs around his waist. Out faces are inches apart our breaths mixing. "(Y/n)" Austin whispers, his pillowy lips brushing mine, butterflies coming alive in the pit of my stomach. "Aus" I sigh, leaning my head forward, finally connecting our lips, the contact feeling electric.
Our lips move together and his tongue teasing my bottom lip. I open up for him, allowing his to take full control. His hands roam my body, gliding over the soft fabric of my dress. "Baby, I wish I could just put you in my car, drive you to my hotel and make love to you." Austin confesses, cupping my face in his hands and smoothing his thumbs over my cheeks. The declaration has me pushing my hips against him, feeling desire pool in my panties. "Please!" I whine, pulling on his shirt, bringing him back for a kiss, that lasts a minute too short, because of the elevator reaching it's final destination.
Carefully he puts me down and I whine I'm disagreement, intertwining my fingers with his, walking in the direction of his car, blood boiling in my veins. "How long before they think I kidnapped you and they come here to check?" Austin asks, opening the door to the back seat of his car, making me frown. "I don't know..why? Austin what are you up to?" I giggle as he pulls me into the back seat of his car. He lays me down on the car seat, coming to sit on top of me. "Aus!" I laugh tangling my hands in his sandy hair. Austin brings his head down kissing my neck, cutting my laugh short with a moan. He trails his kisses up to the shell of my ear, his hot breath tingling. "I'm going to make you cum on my fingers, then you're going back to your room and when I get to my hotel, I'm going to call you, you better answer, you hear me baby?" Austin asks, seeing as my mind is already gone. "Yeah, I do." I say breathless, feeling him smile against my skin. "Ok, be good for me, I love you!" He says, kissing me as one of his hands moves down my body.
Austin's hand reaches the hem of my dress, hiking it up my thighs. When he touches me through my panties he groans in pleasure, finding me already soaked through. "So wet for me, (y/n), always such a good girl!" He praises me, moving my panties to the side, sliding his fingers through my sleek lips. Austin grunts, moving his hips against mine and I feel him rock hard under his pants. We're both panting out of breath and he circles my clit slowly. I arch my back into him, as his lips find my pulse, sucking on the skin there. Moving my hands down I find his belt and unbuckle it. "Baby, you don't have to." Austin tells me, moving his hand down, circling my entrance, causing me to squeeze around nothing. "Let me please, I need to!" I whine and he nods, letting me go on as I unbutton his pants and undoing the zipper, putting my hand in his boxers. I take him in my hand, this is the first time I've touched him like this ever. The skin to skin contact is amazing and I'm fascinated by the way he seems to fit in my hand like he was made to be there. Austin moans loudly, pushing his hips into my hand as I start pumping him. "Fuck! Can I put a finger in?" Austin asks and I nod, whimpering with need.
His long finger enters me and it feels like everything is how it should be. We match our pace, making each other get to the peak we crave so much. I feel so close to ecstasy, the bubble in my belly ready to pop, with the way he curls his long digit, touching that spot inside me, that has me whirling for him. Austin's breathing is quicker and shallower than before, I also feel him twitch in my hand, so I move faster. "God, don't stop honey, I'm so close, fuck!" He grunts, using his thumb to stimulate my clit as well, pleasure flooding my senses as my orgasm washes over me like a cold shower, tingling from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. "I love you I love you Iloveyou ilove.." I say over and over again as Austin also reaches his orgasm, twitching in my hand, tensing above me and glueing his lips to mine. "I love you too!" He says against my lips, peppering kisses all over my face.
We try to make ourselves presentable, giggling in the process. Austin licks his fingers clean of my juices and I decide to play his game, licking the palm of my hand clean. "You're going to be the death of me!" He chuckles kissing me.
My heart feel content, full of joy and finally where it needs to be. We pull apart and he helps me out of the car, walking me back to the elevator. "Call me!" I say before the doors close. "Answer!" He challenges and then the doors close cutting my view of him, my reason for every good feeling I've had lately.

The Roxy plot was really stupid but I'm thinking about how Violetta never could have pulled it off alone.
No matter how much Fran didn't like it, there was several times in which she actually was the one prompting them to go. I remember specifically when she had been mad at Vilu over this, and Violetta had ALMOST come to her senses, and she was about to go tell Fran "hey sorry for this let's not do it again" and right then Fran goes "Violetta, you know what. I love you. I have Fausta in my bag." And THUS, Violetta gets back into it again.
Camila also helped by putting on the wig randomly when Leon looked for Roxy. She could have just... not done that. Roxy could have been completely gone by the time Leon came and they could have been like "oh what noooo Roxy's not here?? I don't even know her??"
Same when Fran randomly put on the wig at the café so it looked like Violetta talked to her. Doing stuff like this just further helped the madness.
Of course, all of this is MOST OF ALL Violetta's fault. But I can't help myself to forgive her no matter how stupid it was. I guess it's because I'm just a Vilu apologist, mixed with being a Franletta shipper so I appreciate the content the two have together, kinda liking the concept of Roxy and Fausta but not the execution (cause the characters themselves are REALLY FUNNY), and seeing how there were times where Violetta herself were ready to stop it, and then something prompted her to get back in there. Also, by the end, she really really TRIED to make Leon forget her, saying that she was going and that it was no use. And Leon didn't give up. You gotta hand it to him, he was dedicated... although, IF Roxy was a real person and not an alter ego I would have not liked how pushy he was lol (she literally tried saying goodbye and that there wouldn't be anything between them and he kissed her in the middle of that speech). Although, due to all the layers I don't think it's fair to blame Leon in this situation when Violetta did the most damage.
Although, I wanna slightly more blame Gery for existing because Violetta literally only did this because of HER. Also Germán because maybe Roxy is Violetta's way of coping with Jeremias because she never truly got a closure to that. Soy mi mejor momento may have solved it in the moment but that's gonna leave some damaged effects.

“I can't see why you're angry.”
“You grabbed my ass in front of Roxy of course I’m gonna be angry!” You huff and cross your arms as Monty sits you on his lap. You had been hanging out with Roxanne earlier today and as always Monty made sly comments. Though they’re always jokingly sexual in nature today he had even went so far as to grab your ass. That alone wouldn’t have pissed you off, but Roxy trying not to laugh at the way you squeaked definitely did.
“You’re not actually mad about that, are you?” He smirks showing off his sharp teeth. He’s always trying to seduce you or act like everything is fine. You can’t tell if you hate him or love him. You huff once more, turning your head to the side.
“I should give you a taste of your own medicine.”
“You don’t have the will to try. We both know youll submit.”
“Oh is that so?”
“It is. What, you wanna try and prove me wrong Love? Be my guest.” The man below you continued to smirk and for the first time in a long time you come to the conclusion that he wants this. He wanted to push you until you ended up in some precarious situation. Then again, knowing Monty, he just didn't think you had the guts to push the envelope. Well you did and you would prove it!
“You're such an asshole.” You sighed and slung your arms around his shoulders. Your head tilting down towards his face. His hands came up to rest on your thighs at the action, thumbs drawing slow circles on the exposed skin.
“Mn, but you like it.” You let out another huff before leaning down all the way. The kiss is slow and passionate, the warm and gentle feeling of his lips on yours makes you let out a soft sigh. The noise alerts the man below you that you may be enjoying this kiss just a little too much, so he of course slides his hands right up to your waist. You pull away with a gasp, his hands hellish hot against your cold skin. You're not sure how but he was warm despite how cold the apartment is. He doesn’t even bother lifting your shirt up and instead leaves his hands on your barely exposed sides.
“M-Monty don't you dare.” You try to keep your composure as he leans into you. His warm tongue sliding up the column of your neck until he reaches your jaw. His hands squeeze your sides even tighter when you wiggle, telling you to stop without even speaking. You of course listen to the nonverbal queue. He let's out a growl of satisfaction when you still but keeps lapping gently against your pulse. It gets to the point that you let out a whimper, the heat from your body sliding right between your thighs. Then and only then does Monty pull away from your neck, a laugh slipping through his cold facade.
“You shouldn't make noises like that Babe, you don't want me to take you right here on this couch, do you?” You barely manage to take a breath before he pulls you chest to chest. The room feels hotter just being close to him, he’s not even panting and yet you can feel his every breath as it ghosts against your skin. You shiver in his hold yet he hasn’t even moved yet. Were you extremely weak to his advances? Absolutely. You wouldn't have it any other way.
“Fuck, I keep forgetting how desperate you get with barely any work. Let’s change that, yeah? How about you be good, sit still, and let me have my way with you.” You whine as he drags your hips backwards just to drag them back to where they were before. The motion is fluid and slow, keeping a steady pace as he continues to grind against you. He knows exactly what he’s doing and laughs the more you gasp and whimper. His face says he’s unfazed by your small cries, but his eyes tell you he wants you now.
“Monty no, you can't-”
“Do you want me to stop?”
“Well I- hah- no.” You barely manage to choke out the words, your entire body feels like it's on fire from his touch. You don't want him to stop, you can't even think of a single reason you would.
“Then come here.” He brings his hand to your jaw and pulls you right back to his lips, hand falling back to your waist. The kiss is much more desperate and messy than before. This time he licks gently against your lips and shudders when you let his tongue slip into your mouth. The split he has glides against your tongue and you moan, not even bothering to try and hide it. Though his first instinct is to make you moan like that again he pulls back and stops rocking your hips. As soon as you no longer feel any friction you open your mouth to speak but are quickly met with his hands slipping under your shirt.
“You're all wet and I haven't even taken off your clothes yet. How pathetic.” He growls as he leans into your neck again, this time focusing on the way your chest rises and falls. He doesn't bother taking off your bra, opting to simply feel over it. A few gentle squeezes and slightly rougher rubs and you're putty in his hands.
“Youre one to talk.” You punctuate the sentence with a roll of your hips, grinding against his hard dick. It's not like you're unaware of how easy it is to turn your boyfriend on, but he must be struggling at this point. You've been on this couch for about ten minutes and yet he hasn't even tried to get rid of any clothes. Honestly, that's probably a new record.
“If you move like that again, I'm gonna do a lot more then just fuck you. You’re gonna know what its like to be someone's toy.”
“Who said that's not what I want?” You bring his head up to yours so he can look into your eyes. You're not sure what it was about that action that drove him wild but the second he locked eyes with you the thin self-control he had snapped. His hands immediately pulled at the waistband of your shorts. Oh, this was going to be fun.

Leave your lover
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader, OMC Jason x Reader
Word Count: 7.3K
Warnings: A bit of cursing, angst with a happy ending, idiots in love, sad Steve, mentions of pregnancy. That's about it if I missed something let me know.
A/N: I've been working on this for the past few weeks. It is by no means perfect but I was inspired by the Sam Smith song by the same name so enjoy. Not beta'd all mistakes are my own.
Masterlist
Steve had hidden away in a stairwell, he had a small sketchbook and pencil he always brought to these things and he was currently distracting himself by drawing. He can hear your footsteps before you stop at the door and push it open.
“Hey Sunny.” He says without looking up.
“One of these days I’m going to catch you off guard.”
“Never.” He says with a smile.
“We’ll see about that.” You sigh. “Come on Cap, they’re ready for you.”
“Why do I still have to do these interviews?”
“I know you hate these things and I made sure to make them as short as possible but people love learning about the avengers. This is the last one I promise.” You move to open the door looking over your shoulder. You see him staring at his sketchbook. “Are you drawing your girl again?”
He nods. “Yeah, she’s the only one that keeps me sane.” He says as he gets up.
“When are you going to let me see those sketches?”
“They aren’t ready yet.” He says as he gets up and follows you out of the stairwell.
“These are the questions that I approved.” You give him a set of flash cards. “They should stick with them but you know what to do if they ask you something you aren’t comfortable answering. The reporter interviewing you is new, her name is Roxie Sanders.”
He nods as he goes through the cards.
The interview goes well, the reporter asking all the questions on the flash cards and Steve answers everyone of them with his Captain America charm.
“Just one more question, Captain.” The reporter looked hopeful and Steve, being a gentleman, gave a small nod.
“Rumor has it that you’re still single. Is that true, or has someone caught your eye? Do you have any plans to settle down with a future Mrs. America?” She asks.
“I-um.” He swallows thickly before his eyes flick from the reporter to you and back.
“Cut. We’re done here.” You say as the cameraman stops recording, you make your way to both of them. “Steve, you're good to go. This was the last interview of the day.”
“Y/N.” He calls out almost as a warning.
“Captain.” matching his tone.
He can see you’re furious and honestly he’s afraid you’ll make the reporter cry but he’d rather you not be mad at him so he gets up and leaves.
He’s out of the interview room immediately but stays close by. He can’t help the smile that graces his lips as he hears you get protective over him. You’re in there for a few minutes before he hears you telling the reporter that if she ever wants to work with the Avengers again she’ll stick to the approved questions.
His head tilts to the side when he hears the door open and shut as you walk towards him.
“Did you make her cry?”
“I didn’t make her cry. I’m just tired of going over this every single time. We have made it clear with the stations, magazines and newspaper that each member of the Avenger’s team has certain topics that you will not be answering. I get it’s their jobs but we have set limits and they need to respect that. She knew better.” You shrug as you both head towards the elevator.
“Ok tiger. Come on, let's get dinner. My treat.” Steve looks at you and smiles.
“Oh actually I can’t tonight. Rain check?”
“Sure. girls night with Nat and Pepper?”
“No, I actually have a date.” You smile up at him obviously excited. But his world might as well have stopped turning. You on a date.
“You ok there Cap?” You look up at him, slightly worried at the shift in his mood.
“Yeah,” he clears his throat. “I’m good.”
There’s silence while the elevator goes up towards the floor your offices are at.
“So a date. Do I know him?”
“No, he’s a friend of a friend.”
“Wait, do you know him?”
“We’ve been texting and Nat did a background check on him the minute I told her about it. He seems legit.” You step out of the elevator and head to your office which is right across from Steve’s.
“If you need anything, call me ok. And text me when you get home so I know you’re safe.”
“Of course. Thank you Stevie, have a good night.” You say as you grab your things and head out.
Steve stays in his office the rest of the evening, trying to keep himself busy and not think about the fact that you’re out with someone else. It doesn’t take long for Bucky to show up at the office looking for him.
“Hey Punk, what are you still doing here?” He asks as he turns to your office expecting your light to be on. Knowing that Steve usually stays if you’re still in too.
“I was just finishing up some reports and looking over some upcoming missions. Trying to plan ahead, you know.” He says without looking up.
“And it has nothing to do with the fact that Y/N is on a date?” Nat says as she appears by Bucky. She walks past him and sits in one of the chairs across from Steve.
“Oh for fucks sake. Steve, you said you were going to ask her out. What happened?”
“He choked like he always does.” Nat answers.
“That’s enough. She’s on one date; it's not like she’s going to marry him. For all you know the date could go horribly wrong.”
“Knowing Y/N he’ll propose by the end of the night. Shit I thought about it when I first met her.” Bucky says with a smirk.
“Me too.” Nat adds.
“Me three, what are we talking about?” Sam asks as he stands in the doorway with Bucky.
“Nothing.” Steve is already annoyed at two of his friends, knowing Sam will have something to add.
“Why are you here if the boss isn’t?” He points back at your office over his shoulder.
You started working with Steve and Nat after the battle of New York. It was a huge ordeal when the whole winter soldier fiasco happened but you handled it beautifully. So it made sense to Tony that you would take on Sam and Bucky when they joined. You were fiercely protective over them and if they were honest the 3 men were kind of afraid of you. They would do whatever you asked so they appropriately nicknamed you boss.
“She’s on a date and he’s upset because someone beat him to it.” Bucky fills Sam in on the situation.
“Damn that sucks. You said you were going to ask her out what happened?” He asks as he takes the other chair in his office.
“Can we change the subject? I’m not upset, she’s a grown woman and she can go out with whoever she wants.”
“Ok man, but it’s already late, why don’t we go do something.” Sam knows when to push and tease Steve but he also knows that you are a sensitive subject for him.
Reluctantly Steve gets up and follows his friends up to the shared living room. They try to distract him but it’s useless. His thoughts are filled with you. He didn’t know why he hadn’t asked you out, part of him was scared that you’d reject him and laugh in his face. To him you’re perfect and he doesn’t think he deserves even an ounce of your affection.
His phone vibrates in his pocket.
Y/N: I’m home! ☺️☺️
Steve: Good, sweet dreams Sunny.
Y/N: Good night Stevie. See you tomorrow.
“Alright I’m going to bed.” Steve suddenly announces.
“Good she’s home. Night Steve.” Bucky says followed by Nat and Sam.
Steve is restless the rest of the night. He can only hope that the date didn’t go well and he still has a chance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steve was in his office earlier than usual, after a restless night he worked out and decided to start his work for the day. He was also anxiously awaiting your arrival with hopes that you would tell him how horrible the date was and then he could swoop in and show you how it was really done. But he wouldn’t be so lucky. He could hear you and Nat talking as you made your way through the hallway. You were happy and he knew then that it was the beginning of losing you.
“Good morning Stevie. I got this for you.” You hold up a coffee cup for him to see before setting it in front of him on the desk.
“Thanks Sunny but you didn’t have to do that.” He offers a small smile.
“I know but I felt bad about yesterday.”
“Don’t worry about it. So how did it go?” He couldn’t understand why he would torture himself like that and then he saw it. The way your eyes lit up and the blinding smile that he loved so much.
“It went really well. We might go out again this weekend.”
“That’s good.” He nods.
“Yeah, he was sweet. I really like him.”
“Well as long as he treats you right. But if he tries anything I’ll kick his ass.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.” You chuckle. “I’ll see you later for that one meeting, ok.”
Steve just nods and stares down at his work. He wants nothing more than for you to be happy. He just wanted it to be him that did that, he wanted to be the reason for your smile. He wanted to know what it felt like to wake up and see you first thing in the morning and for you to be the last thing he saw when he went to sleep. Steve just wanted you to be the one he shared his life with.
Now he just feels like you’re slipping through his fingers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s been weeks since you went on that date with whatever his name was, Steve really didn’t care to learn his name. He was miserable, you were definitely happier and every time you spoke about him it was like you stepped on his already broken heart. But Steve being Steve he couldn’t just ask you to stop talking about your boyfriend, it would make you question him and he certainly couldn’t just tell you how head over heels in love he was with you. So he powered through it. The team was no help; they seemed to enjoy teasing him and pointing out how he missed his shot to be with you.
The few weeks turned into months and he knew that if he couldn’t have you he would rather be alone. It didn’t help that since you had started dating him you spent less time with Steve. Before you would grab drinks or dinner together after work. If you knew he’d been on a particularly difficult mission you’d show up to his apartment in the tower and just spend time with him. Not saying a word, just keeping him company until he was ready to talk. Even at the beginning when you had first met and he was having nightmares you had insisted that he called you if he couldn’t sleep. At first he felt guilty but you always assured him that it was ok and that you would always be there for him.
But that had been years ago and now you were walking around one of Tony’s parties introducing your boyfriend to the team. That was a first, you’d never brought a significant other to one of these even when he knew you were dating. He didn’t know what he hated more, the fact that the team kept sending him sympathetic glances and smiles or the fact that he was touching you. Steve hated seeing his hands on you. He stayed glued to the corner of the bar and once again he wished he could get drunk. Unfortunately Thor was off-world and couldn’t give him any Asguardian mead to help with this feeling of loss he’d had since you told him you were officially in a relationship.
Steve had managed to sneak out of the party and was at the elevator when he heard your voice.
“Steve, are you leaving already?” You asked as you got closer.
“Yeah. I’m tired from the mission and don’t really feel like celebrating.” He said as he turned to look at you.
“Oh, ok good night I guess.” You said with a hint of sadness in your voice. He quickly grabs your hand and pulls you closer.
“Is everything ok?”
“Yeah, I just wanted- you know what nevermind. You need to rest.”
“Sunny you can tell me anything.”
“I just wanted to introduce you to Jason. But it’s not important. I can introduce you some other time.” You smile as you turn but he again pulls you by your hand.
“No it’s ok if it’s important to you I’ll meet him.”
“Are you sure? You can say no.”
He shakes his head. “Lead the way.” He lets you pull him along and walk through the sea of people that always show up to these parties until you come to a stop where Nat and Bucky were talking to your boyfriend.
Nat was the first to look your way which made your boyfriend turn around. That gave Bucky the opportunity to roll his eyes, letting Steve know he didn’t like the guy. He stood right by you, as close as possible without making you uncomfortable which you never seemed to be. At all of these events the two of you seemed to gravitate towards each other. You never noticed and no one ever pointed it out, they were secretly hoping you and Steve would end up together.
“Baby, I’d like you to meet Steve. Steve, this is my boyfriend Jason.”
“What an honor to meet you, Captain.” Jason states as he stretches his hand out for Steve to shake.
“Good to meet you too.” Steve shakes his hand and grips a little bit too hard. There is a bit of awkward silence between the five of you even with the music and the chatter going on around.
“I’m gonna go get a new drink. Anyone want a refill?” You ask the group but they either lift their still filled glasses or give you a no.
“Steve, I'll bring you something.” You say as you start turning.
“Thanks Sunny.” He calls out.
“Sunny?” Jason asks as he looks between Steve and you.
“It’s a nickname, you know, like Sunshine. I just call her Sunny.”
“Isn’t it a bit inappropriate since you work together?” He was slightly irritated at the friendship it seemed but Steve couldn’t care less. He actually smiled a little now that he knew he could use his friendship with you to annoy Jason.
“We’re just friends, I call her babe sometimes. Is that a problem?” Nat adds, smirking at the man that’s giving her a pointed look.
“Yes it is. I don’t like other men getting that close to my girlfriend.”
“Feeling insecure about something?” Bucky
Jason opened his mouth to say something but you showed up before he could respond.
“Here you go Stevie.” You hand him his usual drink and turn to the group. “What did I miss?”
“Nothing, babe.” Nat says before a mischievous grin adorns her face.
“Some of the couches freed up, let's go.” Bucky points out and you all make your way to it as quickly as possible. You ended up seated between Steve and Jason, the latter keeping a hand on your knee as if he was claiming you. The three Avengers looked between one another silently agreeing that they didn’t really like Jason, but they would tolerate his presence if you were dating him.
Before they even realize it you excuse yourself and Jason for the evening which leaves Nat, Bucky and Steve alone before the rest of the team joins them.
“So,” Tony says, extending the ‘o’ for longer than necessary. “What are our thoughts on what’s his face?”
“He’s nice to look at but that's about it.” Maria says from her spot on the floor.
“I agree. He isn’t that interesting but he’s cute.”
“Pepper, why are you looking? I’m both cute and interesting. You don’t need anyone else.” Tony exclaims, causing the team to laugh at the exchange.
“He’s a jerk, and cocky. I don’t like him.” Clint adds
“So the consensus is that we don’t like him? Should we break them up? I think our Boss deserves better.”
”That’s enough. Sam, do you even hear what you’re saying? If she likes him, let her be happy.”
Bucky groans, “Of course you would be the one to not want them to break up you punk.”
“I want her to be happy more than anything. Is that so hard to understand? Drop the idea of trying to break them up. I’ve had enough of this night. I'm going to bed.” Steve excuses himself and heads out. Leaving the team looking at each other concerned for their friends. They had all agreed that the two of you were made for each other; they just couldn’t understand how you hadn’t seen it. It was so obvious it hurt to watch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You started to bring Jason around more, a fact that Steve found extremely annoying. Now not only did he have to hear about him but he had to see him if the team had a movie night or decided to go out to dinner.
It was at those times when he was walking behind the rest of the team through the restaurant, tracking your every movement and listening to how you called out for Jason. The way you held his hand or grabbed his arm that he truly regretted not telling you of his feelings. After one of these outings he found himself so close to telling you to leave Jason and give him a chance.
He almost confessed his love for you one night while you were both still working and you confronted him about him being distant. The look you gave him when you told him you missed him because of it. So when you brought Jason around to hang out with some of them he tried, just to make you happy. Steve started hanging out with you again. Until the day Jason showed up at your job, Steve had invited you to lunch so he was wrapping up a call and you had stepped out of your office for a moment. The knock at your office door is what made Steve lookup.
“She stepped out for a moment.” Steve says as he gets up from his desk and stands at the doorway.
“Do you know how long she’s going to be out?”
“Shouldn’t be long we were just going to head out to lunch.”
“Oh well I was going to surprise her with lunch today so.” Jason shrugged and waited for Steve to back out of his lunch with you and got irritated when he didn’t.
Instead he just hummed and crossed his arms as he leaned into the doorframe.
“Well I’m taking Y/N to lunch. I guess you’ll have to go some other time.”
“Or we can wait until she comes back and she can decide.”
“Listen, I’m not stupid.” Jason said as he walked toward Steve. “I know you have a thing for her and I don’t appreciate you getting in the way of our relationship.”
“I’m not getting in the way of anything, we are just friends.” Steve fires back. He could already hear you getting closer, thankful for his enhanced hearing.
“You better back off and leave her alone. I’m warning you right now I’m not going to allow whatever-“ Jason stops when he sees you rounding the corner.
“Jason? What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to surprise you.” He says as he brings you into a hug, looking right at Steve as he smirks. Earning a glare from the super soldier.
“What do you say we go out for lunch?”
“I can’t,” Steve, who had turned away from the show your boyfriend was putting on, smiled thinking you had chosen to go out with him instead. “I am being pulled into a meeting. It starts in 15. I just came by to get some documents from my office and tell Steve, since we had plans for lunch.”
“Maybe next time then.” Jason connects his lips to yours, a show of possessiveness you didn’t like and you cut it short.
“Steve you’ll be needed too, I’ll save you a seat. Bye babe.” You go into your office, grab some files and head down the hallway.
“Bye, Jason.” Steve says and heads the same way you did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nat: Mission failed Steve and Bucky are in the hospital.
Y/N: How bad?
Nat: Worse than D.C.
When you read that your heart dropped and it must have shown because Jason was asking what was wrong but you couldn’t focus on him. You needed to see him. To make sure Steve would pull through. You had just gotten home from the restaurant and you excused yourself, knowing that Jason would get mad. There would be a fight in the near future about how you would always cancel plans in order to be with Steve but you couldn’t be bothered to think of Jason’s feelings when Steve was in a hospital bed unconscious. So you rushed to his side in the black dress and heels you had been wearing for your date.
Seeing him injured never got easier, you’re always worried that this will be the last time or that he won’t pull through and the thought of not having Steve in your life is the scariest thing you never want to face.
When you get to the hospital floor of the tower Nat is there waiting.
“Any news?”
“Bucky woke up but nothing on Steve yet.” Nat informs you, her expression neutral but you’ve known her long enough to know she’s scared to lose her friend. You walk over to her and give a hug.
“Go change, I'll stay here. I’ll let you know if anything changes.”
“Ok.” Nat heads towards the elevators and you sit waiting to see if you could be with Steve.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hours later Steve finally begins to wake up. He blinks a few times as he tries to remember what happened and take in his surroundings. After a quick scan of the room his eyes fall on you with your back to him and talking on the phone. He groans as he tries to sit up a little bit. You turn when you hear him.
“He just woke up, I’ll talk to you later.” you put the phone in the pocket of your hoodie as you make your way over to him and sit on the edge of the bed. “How are you feeling, do you want me to get the doctor for you?”
“No, I’ll be fine.” his voice hoarse from disuse. When he said that the tears that you had been holding back started to fall.
“I was so scared.”
“Hey, I’m ok. A few days and I won’t even have a scratch on me.”
“It’s been days and We didn’t know if you would wake up.” you say as you wring your hands. Steve places one of his over yours and gives you a little squeeze.
“I’m not going anywhere any time soon ok?” he reassures you with a smile.
“Ok.” You say as you move to hold his hand, the morning sun filtering through the windows hits your hand and Steve’s attention is captured by the flash of light reflected back to him.The last bit of hope he had to tell you how he felt is extinguished when he lifts your left hand to find a ring. You pull your hand back and hide it in the pocket of your hoodie.
You start to say something but a nurse walks in to complete the morning checks, when she sees that Steve is awake she gets the doctor. You excuse yourself to give him home privacy and to let the team know that he’s awake.
A few minutes later Nat, Sam and Bucky walk in to find Steve sitting at the edge of the bed staring out of the window, deep in thought.
“Steve?” Bucky takes a seat on the bed next to him, pulling him out of whatever he was thinking of.
“You ok?”
“She’s engaged.”
“What?” They say in unison.
“Y/N is engaged.”
“I think you might have hit your head harder than we thought man. Y/N hasn’t said anything.” Sam countered.
“I saw the ring, and when I did she hid her hand like she didn’t want me to see it.”
A silence settled amongst the four friends. There was nothing they could say to make the situation better but they could see his heart break. Bucky put his hand on Steve’s shoulder for a moment before getting up, excusing himself and walking out followed by Sam and Nat. They knew when he needed some time alone. Steve sat there, in the hospital room silently berating himself for screwing up what he thought was his second chance at happiness. Now it was too late, he made his choice at that moment to put some distance between you and himself. You were his best friend and at some point he would be happy for you but he couldn’t, not at this moment. He couldn’t torture himself by watching you love another man up close.
“Yeah… I will. Love you too. Ok, bye.” You hung up the phone. Looking over your shoulder when you heard footsteps. “Hey Nat, what’s up?” You asked as you stifled a yawn, anyone that looked at you could tell you were exhausted .
“Congratulations on your engagement.”
You brows knit together in confusion as you look at the redhead. “Wha- how did you know?”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“What was I supposed to do? Come in and say ‘hey I know Steve and Bucky are hurt but look I’m engaged?’”
“When did he ask?”
“The night of the mission.” You look down at your ring, you cared for Jason but after thinking you were going to lose Steve you doubted just for a moment if it was the right choice. You look back up at Nat you weren’t sure what you were expecting but the frown she was sporting wasn’t it.
“And you’re happy?”
“Yeah, I am.” You hesitated when you answered and she noticed. “Why?”
“We’re friends right?”
“Of course we are.”
“I don’t think he’s right for you.”
“What?” you stare at her wide eyed. Taken aback by her statement.
“Look, I should have said something sooner but I don’t think Jason is the one. He’s unpleasant to be around and honestly we just deal with him because he’s dating you.”
An uncomfortable silence falls between both of you. “I’m going to go home and get some things now that he’s up.” you inform her doing whatever you could to end this conversation.
“Ok.”
You knew Jason wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but you didn’t think he was that bad. Maybe you still hadn’t seen his true colors because you knew Nat wouldn’t say something to hurt your relationship. This made you question if saying yes was the right thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following weeks were a blur. Steve did everything in his power to keep some distance, his friends insisted he tell you the truth but he was the one that sat across the hallway from your office. He could hear the excitement when you were talking to others about the wedding you had started to plan. Steve knew he couldn’t do that to you so he took on more missions and scheduled more time to train recruits. He also declined interviews so that he wouldn’t have to be around you. Again you had confronted him about it, the distance between you but this time he didn’t cave. Instead he explained it away saying he was just busy.
He also did the one thing he promised himself he wouldn’t do, let Tony set him up on a date. Several actually, but they never worked out. Steve tried, he was a gentleman and they were nice and attractive women but they weren’t you. No one would ever compare and he was slowly starting to come to terms with that maybe he just wasn’t meant to have a happily ever after.
“Are you ok?” He hears you behind him.
“Yeah I’m fine, why?” he asks as he continues to look out towards the city, his arms resting on the railing.
“Well I never thought I’d say this but Bucky is being more social than you are. You’ve been out here almost the whole time.”
“I’m just tired and there are a lot of people.” He shrugs slightly, his back still towards you.
“Come on Stevie, something is going on and we never keep things from each other.”
He lets his head drop for a moment before taking a deep breath and turns to you.
The worried expression that he had seen so many times over the years was etched on your face yet again because of him and it wasn’t fair to you that he was ruining your engagement party. Steve closes the gap and takes your hands in his.
“Does he make you happy?” The words escape his lips before he’s able to stop them.
“Yes.” You hesitate for just a moment as you see sadness and resignation reflect in Steve’s eyes.
“That’s all I want for you Y/N.”
“Steve-” you’re cut off by the door opening, the music loud and overwhelming, you’re barely able to hear what Jason is saying. Steve takes it as his chance to get away, it was a mistake to come here and he knows it. He walks right by Jason, not bothering to excuse himself as he pushes his way through the crowded venue.
“Is everything ok?” Jason asks as he gets closer to you.
“Yeah, he was just saying goodbye. He's been on a lot of missions so he’s tired.”
“Oh, well the presence of my fiancee is being requested back inside.” He kisses your cheek before taking your hand and leading you back inside.
The rest of the night is spent with friends and family celebrating you and Jason, but every now and then you scan the room trying to find Steve before you remember that he left. Now you look for Bucky.
“Here comes the bride.” he announces to Nat and Sam who had their back to you.
“Hey, have any of you heard from Steve?”
“He’s out on the balcony.” Sam says.
“No, he left a while ago.”
“Oh, well he’s probably just ups-”
“Just tired, he’s been on a lot of missions recently.” Nat cuts Bucky off.
“It’s what he told me but… He’s been acting weird lately, I’m just worried about him.”
“That mission a few weeks ago affected him more than he let on.” Sam tries to ease your worry.
“I guess. If you hear from him will you let me know? I just want to know he’s ok.”
“Will do boss.” Bucky says as you turn back to rejoin Jason.
“We have to do something. Look at her, she’s more worried about Steve during her own engagement party than she is about her fiance.”
“Steve had his chance to ask her out multiple times, it’s not fair to her to ruin her relationship.” Nat argues.
“Sam?” Bucky looks at him expecting to have someone on his side.
“Listen they are the definition of idiots in love but do you think they would be ok with us meddling in their non-relationship? I know Steve would be mad if we tried to break up her relationship with Jason.”
Bucky lets out a frustrated groan. “So are we just supposed to watch both of them be unhappy?”
“Just a little longer. I don’t think she’ll go through with the wedding and we have to be ready for when it happens.”
“What did you have in mind, Red?”
“I’ll tell you back at the tower. I’ll need your help.” Nat responds with a smirk.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Between work and planning a wedding you lost track of time. Your schedule was a mixture of dress fittings and looking at venues, choosing flowers, making a guest list, sending out the invitations and the menu all in between handling four Avengers. And you did all of it alone, with Jason saying he didn’t have time for any of the wedding planning, he stepped back completely and let you deal with everything on your own. That had caused the arguments between the two of you and you had found yourself staying at the room in the tower Tony had given you instead of going to your shared home with Jason. You attributed these arguments to the stress of it all instead of him stepping back and making you deal with all of it.
Before you knew it your bachelorette party came and went and so did your rehearsal dinner. The night before the wedding the nerves took over. For the first time since saying yes, doubt was taking over your mind. Although everyone you loved would be there to support you, well almost everyone, there was something about Steve not attending the wedding that made you sad. You two were still friends but something had changed. He had changed. He would smile but his eyes didn’t light up like they used to and you missed that. Whenever there were team hang outs he wouldn’t really interact with anyone, instead he sat to the side. The only thing that was consistent was his missions. Steve would go on back to back missions until you would stop him and force him to take some time away.
The morning snuck up on you, there was a ball of nerves in the pit of your stomach but there was no time to dwell on the feeling since you had to leave immediately to the venue. Your mom and grandmother assured you that once you were on the altar staring at the love of your life those nerves would disappear. The issue was that instead of picturing Jason in his tux you instead thought of a certain blonde-haired blue-eyed super soldier.
Your hair was done, pulled up and away from your face. The make-up artist finished touching up the bridesmaids and your dress was being zipped up by your mom. All of the jewelry was on and your heels were sitting by the door. You had asked for a moment to yourself and everyone left the room, you looked out of the window in hopes to get a glimpse of the last minute guests that arrived. There was a small piece of you that wished you could see Steve, maybe if he was there you could be sure that you weren’t in fact in love with him but instead just missed your friend. But he wouldn’t be there, he told you as much. There was a soft knock on the door before it opened. You turned in time to see Nat walk in and close the door behind her.
“Hey, 5 minutes and we have to head down.”
“Ok, thanks Nat.” You smiled at your maid of honor.
“Do you have everything?”
“What?” you looked at her confused.
“Something old, something new… you know?”
“Oh well, I have the earrings which are old. My dress is something new. My heels are something blue and well, I don't know about something borrowed.”
“Good, I have just the thing for you.” She opens her bag and hands it over. Your eyes go wide.
“Nat…”
She smiles at you before lifting her hand to her ear. “Down in 5.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steve sat on the couch of his apartment in the tower. The invitation to your wedding in his hand mocking him. It could have been his name on the invitation and by the end of the day you would have been his wife. Now he sat alone, wishing for the comfort that only you could give him. There would be things in his life that he would have to live with like not jumping after Bucky when he fell from the train, but losing you entirely was not something he wasn’t ready to face. It was enough that Steve had to work alongside you but to watch you plan the beginning of the rest of your life loving someone else was too much to handle.
After sitting there for most of the morning he decided that he couldn’t watch you marry someone that didn’t appreciate you the way you deserved. He got up from the couch, got dressed and headed out the door with the invitation in hand. Steve hoped it wasn’t too late and that he could at least tell you how he felt even if it made him look like a selfish ass for waiting so long. If there was a chance that you loved him the way he did you, he had to know.
Steve pressed the elevator button down multiple times as he waited. He took a deep breath as he heard the ding and the doors slid open. His eyes wide as he looked up seeing you standing there, the train to your wedding dress wrapped up in your hands. Steve was sure you had never looked more beautiful.
“I told you I would catch you off guard one day.” you said as you with a small smile but it was clear that you had been crying. You walk out of the elevator and stand in front of Steve.
“What are you doing here?” he asked but part of him was dreading the answer.
“Well you see there is a tradition for brides on wedding days. Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. The problem was that my something borrowed wasn’t really borrowed but stolen.” You let the train of your dress fall and in your hand you held the sketchbook he always had with him.
“Y/N I can-”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” you ask as you flip through the pages that held the sketches he had made of you. There were little notes on the edges of the pages, some had the dates, others things he wanted to say to you and so on.
“It was so easy to fall for you so easy it was scary. I mean you are kind, smart, selfless and you are so damn beautiful and I’m just me. I was afraid you would reject me and I don’t think I could handle that.”
You cupped his cheek, your thumb moving back and forth and he closed his eyes at the contact. “But that’s exactly why I fell for you, because you are just Steve.” His eyes snapped open full of love and relief. A look that was reflected back to him in your own eyes. His hands find their way to your waist and he pulls you closer to him.
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“I wouldn’t have left my wedding if I wasn’t.” His lips meet yours in a soft and sweet kiss. Your hand moves from his cheek to his neck to deepen it while he pulls you flush against him. Years of lost time and affection are poured into it and it has you both reeling. You pull back once the need for air is more than you can handle and his lips chase yours. The act makes you giggle.
“I’ve missed you.”
“Me too, Sunny.” He gives you another quick kiss.
“We still have a lot to talk about, but first I need to get out of this dress. I’ll be right back.”
**************
Steve had gone back to his apartment and changed into something comfortable while he waited for you to come back up. He turned his attention towards the door when he heard it open, chuckling when he saw your Captain America t-shirt.
“Shut up, most of my clothes are back at the apartment.”
“Oh come on I’m not making fun of you. You just look cute in my t-shirt.” he grins at you and you can’t help but smile back.
“We should talk.”
“Yeah, let's sit. Do you want something to drink?”
“No, I'm good.” you say as you move around the couch and take a seat. Turning your body toward the spot Steve is going to sit at, your arm resting on the backrest. He mimics your sitting position and he intertwines his fingers with yours. “So…”
You spent the rest of the day talking. It started with you explaining how you got the sketchbook, Jason’s reaction to you calling off the wedding. He was angrier with the fact that you were choosing Steve than you not getting married at all. Steve tells you about the time he realized that he was in love with you.
“I’m sorry for not telling you that I loved you when I knew.”
“Me too. But I think that we need a little bit of time before we start dating.”
“I can wait a little longer.” he smiles at you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“One more question, Captain.” Roxie asks.
“Of course.”
“You recently got married and I want to start by saying congratulations on that.”
“Thank you.”
“I asked you a long time ago if you had any plans to settle down. Now that you have, are there any plans to start a family any time soon?”
Steve smiles at her. “We aren’t really sure, how about you ask in another few months.”
“I sure will. Thank you again Captain, it's always a pleasure.”
“Thank you, Roxie.”
“Cut.” Someone yells behind the camera. Steve stands and shakes hands with Roxie before walking around the equipment to find you typing away on your phone.
“Let’s get out of here Sunny.”
“Thank god I’m so tired.” you smile as you intertwine your fingers with his and head out of the interview rooms Tony set up in the tower and get into the elevator.
“Don’t think I didn’t notice what you said at the end there.”
“What?”
“To ask in another few months if we were going to start a family.”
“Well technically we are.” He says as he stands behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and letting his hands rest on your swollen belly concealed by the cardigan you had chosen to wear.
“She’s going to flip when she realizes you technically gave her an exclusive.”
“I had to make it up to her for that time you made her cry.”
“I did not make her cry.” you defend yourself while he laughs. The doors open and you walk hand in hand out of the elevator until you reach your shared apartment.
You both changed and settled on the couch, you lay with your back against his chest and your head on his shoulder as some random tv show plays. Since the moment you told him you were pregnant he loved laying like this just so that he could place his hand on your small bump, he said that this way he could wrap his arms around his whole world. It was these moments which always had you wondering about how your life would have turned out if you had stayed with Jason.
But you wouldn’t change anything about the last two years of your life because they had been the best. Once Steve actually asked you out you both realized how dumb it was to have waited so long. Loving and being loved by Steve was the easiest thing in the world considering you had been doing it since before you were aware that it was love.
Mother, wife (Proxima x Reader)
for @1ntr0v3rt3dsna1l
__________________
Hey, I haven't been here in a long time...how are you?
Yes, I know, I know. I know I promised to visit you often, daily if I could, and I tried, I swear I did, but I couldn't, there hadn't been time. The world has gotten crazier since you and Tony left, Roxi.
Kidnapped towns, Wanda is missing, villains from other realities, Eternals who never helped us before (I gave them a good beating for it), three Peters! Speaking of Peter, he's the reason I'm here.
I had been off planet when Strange cast a spell that made everyone forget who Peter Parker was. And how luck I was! Imagine not being able to remember your own brother!
He was so relieved when he realized that I remembered, that Strange's spell didn't work off planet. He didn't leave my side for a week, he was so scared. And is not for less...
Aunt May...she died. She left and I wasn't here to say goodbye. I don’t know if I will ever forgive myself for that. I'm sure you remember her, she gave you a good slap when she met you. But we can't blame her, can we?
At that time, when we first captured you, you were still our enemy, and Peter was gone because of Thanos, who you helped. Without a doubt that slap was better than what I wanted to do to you.
I wanted to…hurt you, make you pay for the supposed death of my little brother, I wanted to kill you and I would have if Aunt May hadn't stopped me. In the end, it was she who opened my eyes. We were both hurt by Peter's absence, but you were not directly responsible.
You were one more tool of Thanos, and if I wanted to avenge my brother, I had to do it with the real culprit, not with another of his victims. Because that's what you were, Roxi, as much as you hated to admit it, you and Nebula were as much victims of the mad titan as everyone else.
But there's no point telling you your own story, right? There is no point in reminding you of all the fights we had while I was in charge of watching you, nor remembering the suspicion with which we all looked at you until you proved that you had changed.
It's not even worth mentioning how we went from enemies to friends to something else. No, it has no case, you already know all that.
What does matter is telling you what you DON'T know. Going back to Peter, he was the one who gave me the strength to come see you... he said that maybe I would find peace here, after all, you were always my rock.
Things have not gone very well. Sissy is fine, of course, our girl is growing up very fast and she looks more like you every day. But I fear that soon I will no longer be able to protect her.
She has a power greater than she imagines and although she is just a girl, she is already attracting the attention of powerful beings throughout the galaxy, and if what Peter says is true, then it will soon be the multiverse.
I don't know if I can deal with that, Roxi. No without you. I'm not as powerful as you, my powers aren't strong enough to fight the multiverse...although I'll try if I must. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Peter was right, you know? I feel much calmer now. I don't know if it's you or if it's my heart that keeps looking for you, but I feel something warm in me, as if you were hugging me.
You're right, Sissy has the strength of three stars, like your spear did, she'll be fine. And as long as I have air in my lungs and blood in my veins, I will do everything to protect her.
I have to go now, but I promise to be back with Sissy soon, maybe after school, I'm sure she'll love showing you her new dagger. I already said it, but she looks so much like you, and she always gets proud when I say so.
She loves you, just as I love you, with a love so great that the stars of this and other universes cannot count. Goodbye Roxi, I'll see you soon. _________________________ Peter looked at you as you walked towards him with a sad little smile on your face. No one looked at you for more than two seconds. After all, it was not uncommon for people to leave offerings at the graves of fallen heroes.
Even the one that put:
Emotional support dog
Part2 "Falling apart"
This is a little idea I had after hearing that some animals in the zoos, like the leopard, has emotional support animals, mostly dogs. So I thought: "what if the animatronics had their own emotional support dog?"
⚠️Advertising:
-drama, depression, anger issues, angst in general.
(Little explication at the end)
---------------------------------------
Jinna became a really important member of the animatronics family, not because her relationship with the kids, oh no, it was because she was always there for the other animatronics.
She help them everytime they feel overwhelmed for the job, and even when they were feeling just tired; sometimes they just talk or stay in silence for hours holding her like some type of plushie, in other occasions they play with a ball or walk around the pizzaplex with her, this was normally during Closing times, so the kids that go to the plex didn't really knew her but she didn't care, she was doing her job.
She made everyone feel better: Roxy had stopped telling herself that she wasn't enough instead, she also tell herself she was great, perfect and enough. Monty had started to stop crashing and braking things in his room, he still did it sometimes, but everytime he saw Jinna he stop in a second and then they stay in silence, he trying to said what he feel and she hearing everything with interest.
She also play with the others when Roxy or Monty didn't need her. She play with Sun and Moon really often, she love shiny things, golden stars stickers where her favorite thing in the world.
She play tug of war with Foxy almost everyday, she usually steal his hat just for fun so he never really got mad.
Bonnie usually just laid in a sofa with her "sleeping" in his lap just as a lapdog would do while he rest and enjoy being alone without being alone.
And finally, Freddy love playing fetch with her, he even found some squeaky toys that he made sound just to see how fast she would get there, she had a record of going from her room to the main stage in less that 15 seconds.
But... one day, all that happiness ended.
—
Jinna was there, hat in mouth looking at the pirate ship while a big sign didn't really tell her anything:
"DECOMMISSIONED"
She didn't understand it, just yesterday she was playing with the Captain... running around and messing one with the other. Why was he gone now?
"Jinna... he's not coming back" Chica told her when she find her for third time waiting infront of the ship holding the pirate hat.
"Yes he is!" She said seating there, waiting and guardering to make sure that she won't miss the momentthat he come back. "And I'm waiting for him!"
Chica seat there by herside for sometime until someone call her it hurt her seeing the little puppy waiting there alone.
As somedays start to pass, Roxy start to get irritated, she miss Foxy and seeing Jinna waiting for him to come was making her feel really bad and one day, she had enough.
"This was enough!" She said trying to take Foxy's hat from Jinna "He's gone, GONE FOR REAL"
"No!" Jinna scream making everyone see how the 3feet tall animatronic dog was fighting the almost 7feet tall wolf animatronic to keep the pirate hat.
"Roxy, stop" Chica ask to the wolf while the other try to stop that scene "She doesn't understand the concept of decommission!! She's just a puppy!!"
"Well it's time she learn!" The wolf said really angry trying one more time to take the hat, but when she couldn't she do something that she immediately regretted.
One of her claws hit Jinna in the face making the puppy Drop the hat before running away to hide behind Bonnie while whimpering, Chica let go out a gasp and Monty look angry at Roxy.
"ROXANNE!!" Freddy said looking at how the little animatronic dog was now hiding from Roxy.
"I-i... I didn't wanted to... I..." the wolf was now crying "she just keep saying he's going to come back!!! He's gone!!! Forever!!" She scream before running away, Chica follow her.
"Are you okay, sweetie?" Bonnie ask checking on Jinna, the little puppy was still shaking, she didn't feel pain when Roxy scratched her in the face, but she was scare and confused, why would someone who she love hurt her?
"Here, take this back" Freddy said giving Jinna Foxy's hat "put it in your room, im sure that he would be happy knowing that you are taking care of it"
"We need to tell her what happen to Foxy" Monty said making everyone see him "I know, she's a puppy, but Roxy is right, she's hurting herself and everyone"
Sun look at Jinna while the Puppy look at all them trying to understand what was happening, her head a little turned to the right.
"Jinna..." he called "Foxy was decommissioned, witch mean that he's not coming back.. not today, no tomorrow... never"
"But... why?" She ask tears in her eyes "he promise me that we will play after he go back from parts n service... he doesn't want to play with me anymore? I can stop stealing his hat, I'll be good!! I promise!"
"This is not your fault, puppy" Monty said trying to calm her crying "you know Foxy loved us, and he loved your little jokes"
"But then... why he's not coming back?" She ask still crying and hugging Bonnie's leg with her little arms.
Freddy look away and slowly he told her what being decommissioned mean, then she finally understood, she was crying even more than before but even with that she took Foxy's hat and run to try to find Roxy.
She found Roxy the wolf was still crying and shaking, Jinna feel like it was her fault, she was supposed to make everyone happy not sad or angry.
When Roxy saw her Jinna start apologizing, saying how bad she feel for not knowing anything and making everyone, especially her, being incapable of moving on.
Roxy also try to apologize, but Jinna didn't let her when she notice how much the wolf was struggling to do it.
—
(Explication: dogs don't understand the concept of dead if they don't see the lifeless body, that's why we have stories like Hachiko or in this case a little Jinna waiting for Foxy in pirates cove. Also, if you hit your dog, they don't think thatbyou did it by accident, they would always think that they did something really wrong that made you react that way)
pairing: luke alvez x fem!reader
summary: luke keeps running into you and your dog on his running route but keeps getting interrupted before he can ask you out (fluff, pining and garcia being an amazing friend!!)
warnings: very light swearing
guide: (Y/N) = your name
word count: 3.2K
a/n: asjdk this is my first criminal minds fic so it’s my first luke fic!! i hope you all like it!!
***
“Come on, girl!” Luke shouted behind him, sparing a look at Roxy. She barked back at him in approval, seemingly understanding his words as she bolted past him, winding through the woods ahead.
Luke chuckled as he attempted to catch up but his body was sore from the miles he had just run, causing him to be a little slower than usual. Luke heard Roxy bark from ahead but instead of waiting for his call back, another bark responded to her. Luke slowed, his mind racing as he questioned who else was on the path with him. He tried to silence the profiler in his head which made him more cautious than usual and tried to rationalize the appearance of another dog. Roxy and the other dog barked back and forth, allowing him to use their calls to locate her.
Just as Luke approached the sight, he heard hurried footsteps running out from the opposite of the woods. He stopped just before the clearing where the two dogs sniffed one another, observing the scene.
“Tommy? Tommy!” you cried, panic seeping into your tone. “Oh, my God! There you are! Don’t run...are you lost, sweetie?”
Luke frowned and stepped in to find you with your hand on the unfamiliar dog’s collar, the other petting Roxy. “Excuse me,” he interrupted, causing you to jump, “that’s my dog, Roxy.”
“Holy shit,” you gasped, clutching at your shirt. Roxy ran up to you, sniffing you with concerned whimpers. Luke fought back a smile at your surprise and took a few steps towards you, Roxy joining his side a moment later.
“I didn’t mean to scare you, ma’am. I’m sorry.” You could tell he was trying his very best to stay professional but the smirk on his face was anything but. You eventually gave in, exhaling a quiet laugh to yourself as you stood up.
“No worries. I didn’t expect anyone out here. Just shocked me, is all.”
Silence fell over the small clearing you two stood in, save for the tired pants of your dogs. Tommy, although a large dog, still acted like a puppy, circling around before tucking behind you, only peeking out from behind your legs every few seconds to see if Roxy and Luke were still there.
“What kind of dog is that?” Luke finally asked, breaking the silence. “Retriever?”
You shook your head and stepped to the side to reveal Tommy in all his shy glory. “No, a mutt. Tommy’s supposed to be part retriever, though. Surprised you picked it out.”
You looked up at Luke with a smile and he suddenly forgot what he wanted to say next. He supposed in all the commotion he hadn’t gotten a good look at your face but now that he did he couldn’t look away. There was something encapsulating about it, something drawing him in and he wasn’t mad about it. He couldn’t be. Not when someone as beautiful as you was smiling at him.
He was no sooner snapped out of his daze when his phone buzzed. He was going to be late for work if he didn’t leave soon. He cursed under his breath as he fumbled for an excuse. You raised your brows with a chuckle as he floundered.
“Late for work?” you supplied.
“Y-...yeah.”
“I get it. We’re gonna be late for work, too,” you said, looking over at Tommy. “Nice meeting you!”
Roxy barked as Luke waved you off, seeing you and Tommy disappear towards the trail. As soon as you were gone, Luke huffed, shaking his head in an attempt to get his mind in order. It had been a long time since he felt like that, but the feeling was undeniably attraction. Roxy nudged his hand and whimpered quietly as if she were scolding him about letting you go.
“Don’t give me that look,” he sighed, “let’s go.”
***
For the next few weeks, Luke hadn’t seen you. He supposed work got in the way with the travelling and all but when he was home, he still couldn’t seem to find you. The thought of you was distracting, to say the least. The second he’d let himself rest, it was always you he’d think of. How you just appeared from the woods, mysterious but easily read; if only he’d looked a moment longer, maybe he would have understood you.
So when you appeared out of the woods a second time four weeks later, Luke thought he was imagining it. You were sitting on a rock, watching as Tommy ran around a clearing with sticks far too large for him to carry in his mouth. You clapped your hands together while you laughed giddily, enthralled by the adorable dog in front of you. You only looked over towards the trail when you heard a bark and the snap of a branch, finding Luke and Roxy staring at you two.
“Hey!” you cried. “It’s you! I haven’t seen you in forever! Where have you been?”
Although seemingly indistinguishable from the adrenaline pumping through him, Luke could feel his heart beat a little faster as you acknowledged his absence. He walked up to you with Roxy in tow, the latter finding a new friend to play tug-of-war with. You slid over to the side, patting the rock so he could sit next to you.
“Ah, I don’t think you want me next to you. I just ran 5 miles and-”
“Was that supposed to impress me?” you accused. The corners of your lips twitched upwards, trying to hide your smile away.
Luke smirked. “Did it?”
You snorted. “I’m not afraid of a little sweat. Sit down.”
He nodded and slowly lowered himself into the spot next to you, groaning as he relaxed his body. As he stretched, he looked over your clothing. You wore jeans and a t-shirt. Strange attire for a place that was home to hikers and joggers.
“Where did you go for a month?” you questioned.
“Work held me up but I was still around here every now and then for my morning run with Roxy.”
You peeled your eyes away from the playing dogs, grinning at the way Tommy was coming out of his shell with Roxy. “You come here every morning to run? This place?”
“Just about.”
“God, you’re not one of those serial killers that kidnap hikers or something, are you?” You couldn’t help but giggle at your own comment, especially when Luke donned that disarming smile.
“I’m actually in the market of catching those guys.”
You squinted, looking his form over. “FBI?”
“On the first try? What are you, CIA?”
Your head tipped back with raucous laughter and Luke’s breath caught in his throat for a moment. The image of you laughing filled his head and he wondered if he could make you laugh again.
“So where were you?”
You sighed, rubbing your hands on your pants. “I’ve been trying to take Tommy to dog parks instead of on these hiking trails so he can, you know, get used to being around other dogs. He gets a little anxious when there are other dogs around but he seems to have taken a liking to...what’s her name?”
“Roxy.”
At the sound of her name, Roxy perked up and padded over to her owner, nuzzling her head against his shins. Luke chuckled, rubbing her head as he praised her. Tommy joined her a moment later, jumping up onto you and slobbering all over your face.
“Tommy!” you squealed through giggles. “Down, babes, down!”
“So you take him to these trails, then what? Because you don’t look dressed for a run.”
“Good eye. I just like to have these open areas for him to run around off-leash. He was a herding dog so he’s used to running around in fields and I didn’t want to take that away from him.” You leaned down, petting Tommy’s head as you donned a high pitched, motherly tone and said, “Isn’t that right, boy?”
“Used to be?”
“Yeah, I took Tommy in from a high kill shelter. He was really sick and nobody would help him so they just got rid of him, I suppose. And then he ended up hopping from kennel to kennel until I found him.”
Luke stared at you, hanging on to your every words. You were so incredibly kind, so caring— it showed in the way you spoke about Tommy.
“That’s incredible,” he muttered, drawing your attention upwards. You sucked in a sharp breath, realizing how close you were to him. “I’m Luke, by the way.”
“(Y/N).”
Just as Luke was about to ask for your number and get over his stupid fears, his phone rang. It was Emily. They had a case. You waited expectantly for him to get off the phone, only for him to mouth an apology to you and walk off with Roxy by his side.
***
The case went by quicker than the team expected and Luke was back to his old routine in no time. He was on a morning run once again when Roxy ran ahead to the clearing you usually sat at, barking at what had to be you. But instead of hearing that deep bark back, two identical yaps returned Roxy’s call. Luke sped up, wondering who could be there instead of you. However, when he pulled into the clearing, it actually was you. You just had two tiny chihuahuas instead of Tommy.
“Hey, Luke! How was your case?”
“It was...quick.” Luke frowned. “Where’s Tommy?”
“Oh, he got adopted.” You looked down at your hands where you fiddled with your fingers, clearly upset about the whole ordeal. Luke, however, had no idea what was going on.
“Did you say adopted?”
“Yeah.” Your eyes widened and a chuckle escaped your lips. “I never told you what I do, did I?” Luke shook his head. “I’m a coordinator for a foster dog nonprofit. I rescue dogs like Tommy from dangerous situations like high kill shelters or neglectful owners. These are my two new pups, Tank and Ginger.”
Luke snorted, pointing at the chihuahuas that were running up to you two. “Are you saying one of those guys’ names is Tank?”
You picked up the larger, blonde dog, cradling him to your chest like a newborn. “I did! This is him. They come with the names. I don’t pick them.”
Luke nodded with a hum of understanding, admiring the way you held such a small dog with care. He only looked away when he felt something jump in his lap, finding the other chihuahua craving the attention her brother was getting.
“And you must be Ginger. You’re tiny!”
You barked with laughter and Luke felt his heart race a little faster. “God, she really does look little in your arms!”
“Yeah? She’s adorable.”
Luke marveled at the small dog for a moment. He normally didn’t like small dogs— he thought they were closer to cats than dogs— but seeing the way you scooted closer and smiled so wide he thought you might combust, he realized he could get used to small dogs for your sake.
“So why exactly are you taking these two out here?” he asked.
“Housetraining. They really hate the outdoors for some strange reason. Plus I thought I’d give them some quality forest time before I move.”
Luke jolted upright, his head whipping around towards you. “You’re moving?”
“Soon, yeah. I’m just waiting for the deal to close on the apartment I’m buying. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of space for the dogs to walk around but there’s no place like this in Salisbury.”
“Salisbury?” he repeated weakly.
His mind flooded with the realization that if he didn’t ask you out now, he might not ever see you again. He was so caught up in his thoughts he didn’t even realize you stood up, attaching leashes to the vests Tank and Ginger wore as you picked up a phone call. You turned to Luke, your brows knit together with an apologetic smile as you scurried back to the trail.
So much for that plan.
***
When Luke arrived at the office that morning, everyone could sense he was off. One by one, members of the team approached him to check in but he assured them it was nothing he couldn’t handle. He rejected almost everyone’s help until he was coming up from lunch in the elevator with Garcia, her groaning at his behavior.
“Listen, okay?” she began, biting back a smile. “I know that there’s something wrong, Newbie, and I feel morally obligated to ask but does that in no way mean we’re bonding right now.”
Luke couldn’t help but exhale a quiet laugh at her. And for some strange reason, he felt compelled to tell her the truth. “I met this girl, (Y/N), on my runs with Roxy. She’s moving away but I really like her, you know? We’ve run into a each other a few times and she’s just...I don’t know…”
“Why didn’t you ask for her number?”
“Just never got around to it. It’s either I’m getting called back here or she’s getting called back to her work.”
Then, as good ideas often do, Garcia has a sudden and unexplainable epiphany. She discreetly pulled out her phone and clicked the record button before slipping it back in her dress pocket. “Where does she work?”
“Some foster dog non-profit. She’s their coordinator.” Luke shook his head and recalled the shirt you wore the second time he ran into you. “She wore a bright red shirt with a black paw print on the upper left. It had the name on it but I can’t remember what it was.”
Garcia nodded. “And what did she look like?”
Luke rattled off a description, not forgetting to mention how your smile could make anyone light up, or how your eyes were something he could stare into all day long and never get bored. Garcia knew Luke was never one for mushy things but she had to admit all that talk had her heart melting a bit at how open he was about you.
The ding of the elevator cut Luke off and Garcia skirted away from him to her office, leaving Luke wondering what had her in such a rush. Perhaps he said too much, but to Garcia, he had said just enough.
***
Luke revisited the spot for about another week, hoping he would find you there again. He didn’t have to be a genius to know you had moved. So, with all his hope abandoned and his feelings being pushed to the side, Luke went into work. However, the second he stepped through the elevator doors, Garcia pounced on him.
“Follow me,” she demanded. Luke looked around suspiciously as Garcia walked away, waving at him to follow.
“What are-”
“No questions, Newbie.”
The walk was silent the rest of the way to her office, leaving Luke in a limbo of thoughts, automatically assuming the worst. Garcia slipped into her chair and entered her password, revealing an array of social media pages.
“What am I looking at?” he asked, leaning over her.
Garcia clicked on a photo depicting about 5 women wearing bright red shirts, all of which were holding dogs. “Do you recognize any of these women?”
Luke leaned in closer and sucked in a sharp breath when he saw a familiar figure holding two chihuahuas with a wide smile. “That’s her! That’s (Y/N)!”
Garcia squealed with joy as she clicked through to another page. “This is your girl’s nonprofit, Fur-Ever Home K9 Rescue. She’s hosting an adoption event at the GW Law Quad today from 9:00-2:00. You can catch her on your lunch break.”
Luke spewed endless praise to the tech analyst, her soaking up every word. From that moment on, Luke was focused on the clock. The second it struck 12:00, he was out the door. He couldn’t miss another chance to see you, he’d waited too long already.
He hopped into his car and sped to the university without a doubt in his mind about what he was going to ask you. He pulled onto the street in front of the quad, his eyes catching on the tents set up around the grassy area. Students and families paced from tent to tent, giving dogs treats and attention. Volunteers in the same bright red shirts followed the attendees with a clipboard, marking down their interest in a certain dog or two.
Luke took a sobering breath, realizing he’d never been so nervous as he approached the pop-up table at the front of the quad. He reiterated the plan to ask you out in his head and was so distracted by his thoughts he didn’t even think to look at who was manning the booth.
“Hi! How can I-...Luke? What are you doing here?”
Luke’s attention was drawn up, seeing you standing behind the table with a clipboard and pen. He let out a breathy chuckle at the sight of you. God, you even looked amazing covered in sweat and dog hair.
He was so flustered by how impossibly beautiful you looked, he abandoned his plan entirely. Instead, words he never thought he’d say began spilling out of his mouth. “I’m adopting another dog!”
“You are?” you gasped, nearly jumping for joy. “I’m so happy you’re adopting from us! Oh, and Roxy’s gonna have a new friend to play with!”
You began to lead him towards the dogs, rattling on about them when Luke stopped you. He couldn’t lie to you. “Look,” he began, heart pounding, “I’m not actually adopting another dog.”
You faltered in your steps. “You’re not? Then, I’m sorry, why are you here?”
Luke flexed his hands to relieve his anxieties. “Listen, (Y/N), I like you a lot. You’re...you’re funny, and smart, and beautiful, and you have this big heart that I admire so much. I want to ask you out on a date. If you haven’t had lunch I was wondering…?”
“Oh. Well, I just had my lunch break, so…”
It didn’t take a profiler to know what you meant. Luke nodded, accepting the rejection and fighting the sinking feeling of disappointment in his stomach. “Alright, well, it was nice seeing you-”
“But if you’re free after work, maybe we can go to dinner?” you hurriedly added. “And I can also take a shower and stop smelling like wet dog?”
Luke froze before stuttering out replies. “Yeah, perfect, absolutely. Tonight, sure.”
You snorted before running up to him, rifling through your pants pockets to find your card. You flipped it over, writing your personal number on the back and slipping it into his front pocket, patting his chest. You hesitated in moving away, staring into his eyes before pressing a quick kiss to his cheek.
“Call me,” you whispered before walking backwards towards your event. A smile grew on your face as you shouted, “And find a dog-friendly restaurant for tonight! Roxy is expected to be in attendance!”
Luke dipped his head in quiet laughter, waving you off to return to your event. You stole one last glance at him and smiled before stalking off towards some volunteers. And as Luke watched you hop from family to family, he realized nothing could beat the incredible feeling that filled his body. You were well worth the wait.
JURASSIC WORLD: CAMP CRETACEOUS (S4) SPOILERS AHEAD
havent been feeling well lately so i watched season four of camp cretaceous (a show i love) and uhh..
well okay. my opinion isnt so important that i NEEDED to make a post, but i feel like people might agree with me- and itd be nice to know if people feel the same way i do.
about brooklynn and kenji...
im sort of bummed out. and it isnt just because i ship dinostar and benji. though id be lying if i said it didn't contribute to my feelings about the ship, i dont want this to just be me yelling about those two ships here.
when i started this season (season 4) i was wondering why everything felt kind of dry. ironic, because they were all on a boat. but especially with kenji and brooklyn talking to eachother, it felt stiff and a bit awkward.
you know why i think this is? they had little ROMANTIC buildup. he flirted with her once three seasons ago and then stopped after she shut him down. and yes, they hung out with eachother alone a few times as the show went on, especially in season 3, but heres the thing-
i couldnt sense any romance from those scenes at all and it felt like basic friendship development( like yaz and kenji had, or darius and yasmina, or sammy and darius)
so if i couldnt pick it up, i doubt others did too. it wasnt anything like yaz and sammy, growing to love eachother over the course of four seasons and doing anything to help eachother
or darius and brooklynn, always being on the same brainwave and working well with eachother, devising plans together and knowing eachother exceptionally well
or even ben and kenji, who lacked content in season 3, but had so much potential- theres the way that KENJI was the one to keep bens fanny pack on him, the way that kenji constantly dozed off thinking about ben and had to be snapped out of it, and ben could have learned about how much kenji had missed him, more than the others seemed to, and that could have developed from there- but i wont go into these ships more. i can always make a different post.
my point is, kenji and brooklyn didnt seem like anything special and i could never have guessed that they would end up with eachother.
im still going to keep an open mind. if they make a 5th season, i actually encourage the writers to show me more brooklyn x kenji.. as long as its in a way that makes sense. and maybe we can learn when and how they started to like eachother, and you know what? maybe ill like it eventually.
for now though, im just upset. along with the lack of significant buildup, and barely any hints that they felt that way for eachother, im also sad that kenjis arc from the last season was basically ruined.
instead of him growing to care about his friends and him being mad at darius for putting any of their lives at stake just for dinosaurs, which would have been such good development for him, he got mad at darius because he (kenji) had a crush on brooklyn.
like... hello? if it wasnt brooklyn that was in danger, would he have not snapped at darius like that? or even cared as much? is that what this is saying? what if it was like.. sammy or something instead? would he have been LESS mad about darius' choice? with that in mind, i believe now that kenjis recent development has been erased.
i dont hate brooklyn x kenji , i just wish it was executed a little better if it HAD to be a ship at all. thats all. of course i would have liked my other ships to be canon this season, and i feel like they would have made more sense- but i dont want to be horrible about it, i just wanted to explain why i dont like this ship that much.
ship what you want, i dont know. its fine. this season was pretty good if you look at the main story and not the romance subplot. i still want a fifth season. three cheers for awesome dinosaurs and also for dave and roxie lol
#camp cretaceous#jwcc#jwcc season 4 spoilers#also i mention benji yasammy and dinostar/darilynn#but they arent really the focus of this#how is brooklyns name spelt
Yeehawgust 24: Distant Howls
During the events of Old World Blues, the Courier and Roxie go to Higgs Village and find… a tiny Deathclaw? 644 words.
Ashton had taken extra effort to go through every building in Big Mountain. It was unknown whether this was due to her disdain for the doctors of the Think Tank, who seemed to get worse with every new find, or simply because she had repeatedly lost all sense of direction and accidentally ended up in places that she hadn't meant to be.
Surprisingly, Higgs Village was not one of the worst places she had been to, despite being where all of them had lived.
"Oh dear," Ashton muttered, blinking. "Roxie, do you think this is what the world looked like before the bombs?"
Roxie barked, glancing up at her. Ashton frowned.
"I dunno. It seems nice-ish, though, doesn't it?" Roxie barked again. "Yeah, you're right. I can't imagine it at all."
In mostly silence, Ashton went through each building, Roxie trotting along behind her happily. It was odd to go through their houses, as it made it obvious that the doctors had been human at some point. It was odder still that despite having been human at some point, they still acted like monsters.
They encountered only minor (major, if she was being honest) inconvenience with a mini Deathclaw that had been waiting to strike the second she opened the back door to Dr. Borous' house. Roxie let out a confused, 'aroo?', beginning to approach it, as she had never seen a Deathclaw before- so Ashton picked her up and slammed the door shut. The Deathclaw clawed at the wooden door, and Ashton anxiously put Roxie down."Shh!" She whispered, and Roxie, curious, followed behind her as they went back to the front, slowly opening the door and being especially quiet as they began to approach the backyard.
The mini Deathclaw was still clawing at the door, growling. Ashton slowly raised her gun, shaky hands doing nothing good for her aim. Just as the shot would've been perfect, though, Roxie let out an excited ruff, apparently assuming that the Deathclaw was a friend. Ashton squealed, dropping her gun as the small Deathclaw lunged, small claws held high. Roxie barked again, tail wagging excitedly. The Deathclaw sniffed a bit in the air, claws still up, and Ashton reached out, grabbing Roxie again (stupidly, not her gun) to pull her to safety.
Instead, Roxie licked a big streak of a doggie-kiss on the mini Deathclaw's tiny face. The Deathclaw roared confusedly as Roxie did it again. It raised its claws higher, but Roxie playfully knocked it to the ground, nuzzling her snout against its belly. Confused, the Deathclaw lowered its claws again, simply accepting its role as Roxie's cuddle buddy.
Ashton, similarly bewildered by Roxie's behavior, released her hold on her, letting Roxie yip happily as she cuddled with the small Deathclaw.
"Um. Does this mean we're friends now?"
The Deathclaw roared, flashing its claws at her, but stopping between Roxie nuzzled against it again.
"Sorry, sorry. I get it. You and Roxie are friends. Not me and you. It's not like I wanted to be friends with you anyway." Ashton put her hands up defensively. "Well, that's not true. I did. But it's okay. Not everyone can get along, I guess."
A bit sadly, she left the duo alone, sulking off to where the Deathclaw had come from. It'd been hiding in a small house with the name 'GABE' written on top. Ashton frowned, reaching down to pick up the dog bowl just outside of it, similarly tagged with the same name.
The Deathclaw from before let out a growl, watching her intensely. "You're not Gabe, okay, so you can't get mad at me. I think I know someone who'd appreciate this more."
It growled again, but stopped abruptly when Ashton whistled, and Roxie sat up to follow. Quietly, it trotted behind Roxie
."So, we are friends?" Ashton asked, happy. It growled again. "Nevermind. Sorry."
For the first time the girls upset me so much i had to just shut myself away from them for a bit. They do kinda annoy me a bit in the kitchen, like, if i am in the kitchen they'll scream at me cause they want to go on the counter and endlessly jump/attempt to jump up there, and no matter how much i remove them or tell them no, they both do it endlessly the entire time I'm in the kitchen. And cause i was prepping some pork today which is intensive anyway and would mean i couldn't touch them, i already was thinking of shutting them out of the kitchen anyway
But while i was in the shower, they jumped onto the counter then climbed behind my sink to get to the window, and i dunno if while up there someone walked by and scared them, if a cactus hurt them and they freaked out, or if they began fighting, but eitherway, yeah, they knocked over 2 of my plants, completely destroyed one cactus, and spilt soil everywhere in my kitchen
Okay one thing i wanna say after something Jayne said, i might complain about things the girls do but it doesn't mean i want to get rid of them, and i know they are kittens, kittens do these things, it's what i signed up for. But I'm just venting frustrations, that's all, i can't stress that enough, i can handle them, i adore them both, i wanted this, i play with them all the time, it just me venting when they do frustrating things. But yes, i saw this and they both came into the kitchen with me, and i just had to pick them up and shut them out as i just couldn't be around them for a moment. I hate being angry at them, i hate shutting them away from me, i hate that they didn't mean it but I'm still mad, and i hate that it's made me mad. But i have spent over 3 weeks telling them not to get onto the counter, and this was partially why, so it's frustrating it happened
I honestly cannot wait until Coraline *hopefully* reaches the age where she listens a bit, as I've not spoken about it, but there has been at least 2-3 instances every single day where Coraline does something, i tell her no, she doesn't stop trying to do the thing, then we're just stuck in that loop until she gives up or moves onto something else. Like, words online don't get across how literally constant it is, and how it is literally every day, i love her but it's like she's constantly trying to hurt herself intentionally and me saying no makes her want to do it more. And I'm not saying she did this, as Ember coulda done it, but over 3 weeks of telling Coraline off and her literally never listening not only is grinding, but i hate that i just am constantly telling her off as it makes me feel like a dick, but as always, it's for her safety and that's what makes it so frustrating when she refuses to listen
Like, i have had Roxy who could be bad with food, but Coraline is on another level. If i told Roxy no once, she listened, but take yesterday for instance, i set Coraline down 4 times and even genuinely raised my voice at her in anger, she stopped for literally less than 30 seconds before going for my food again. And again, Roxy would just sit in one place and try to swipe it, but Coraline? She literally circles my plate, she jumps to jump over my arm and onto my plate, she climbs on me to try from a higher vantage. So like, not only am i constantly setting her on the floor repeatedly and telling her no repeatedly while eating, but my arm literally ends up hurting from holding it up for so long and moving it around so much as Coraline circles mey plate, climbs me, and tries jumping over me to reach my food. Nothing i do gets her to stop, we do this repeatedly yet she doesn't give up, and she is just so much worse with it than any animal i have had before. Again, just through words it is hard to get across just how bad it is, then there will be at least one other instance that day, usually 2, of Coraline trying to take her own life or destroy things, that you also have to do that same cycle with, every single time, every single day. I play with them all the time, they play with each other all the time, have loads of toys, stimulation, i just don't get why Coraline is this bad and Ember isn't
I still write for HP, btw! not to worry. anyway, I hope u all enjoy this. I love it a lot and I worked very hard!!!! inspired by fallingforyou by the 1975. I recommend listening to the song for dramatic affect.
—
Calum sipped on his drink as his eyes danced around the kitchen that was filled with drunk and high 20-30 somethings, unimpressed until his deep brown eyes landed on her. Dressed in a little halter top and flared jeans, head thrown back in laughter at God knows what, she laughed at just about anything, especially when intoxicated. Her dark hair cascaded down her back and her lovely brown eyes squeezed shut, she looked like a goddamn angel.
He told Luke a million times that he wasn’t coming to this party, just like he had done with every party that rolled around in LA, but once Luke promised her attendance, he still declined.
But snuck in anyway 3 hours in, trying to go unnoticed by his 3 idiot friends.
His plan failed, of course. Why wouldn’t it? Michael had caught him at the worst time, 4 jack and cokes in, grinning at her like an idiot from across the kitchen island.
“She’s your friend, mate. You know you can like, talk to her.” He had said, nudging his best friend with his elbow.
Calum rolled his eyes, “I’m not 7, Mike. I’ll talk to her when I want.”
“You’re never gonna land a girl like Fiona if you don’t say anything.”
“Who says I’m trying to land her?”
Michael nearly choked on his drink, “Good one, Cal.” He patted his friend's shoulder and pretended to wipe a fake tear. “Hey, Fi!”
Calum had known Fiona since 2013 when 5 Seconds of Summer first toured with One Direction, when she was an assistant to their tour manager. She was the same age as the guys and they all bonded quickly, and to this day she still tours with them. She’s still just an assistant, says she doesn’t want to take on the responsibility of manager, she mostly just makes sure the guys are all where they’re supposed to be at all times.
Fiona turned away from her friends and smiled at the two Australian goofs, excusing herself from the group of girls and making her way over.
“Calum Hood? Enjoying himself? At a party? Insanity!” She smiled that radiant smile of hers and took Calum’s cup from his hands, treating herself to a sip.
“3 of those things are true, and I’ll give you a hint, I’m not enjoying myself.” Calum retaliated and Fiona raised her eyebrows at Michael.
“Hi, Fi.” Calum smiled and slung his arm over her shoulder.
She playfully rolled her eyes and leaned into Calum, “Hey Mr. Buzzkill.”
“I’m gonna go play pong with Luke, you know how he gets when I’m not his partner. Bye Fifi!” Michael rushed out and ran out of the kitchen, no doubt going to gush to Luke and Ashton about Calum and Fiona being cozied up in the kitchen.
“You look pretty tonight.” Calum said flatly, not making eye contact.
He could say those kinds of things to her, they had been friends for 7 years, but the drinks definitely helped him get it out.
“Don’t look too bad yourself, Hood.”
Calum brought her small frame around in front of him so he could look at her. She rested her chin on his chest and looked up at him with her doe eyes, and he made a vow right then and there that he would absolutely get to call her his one day.
This happened often. Calum and Fiona would cozy up to each other when drunk, hugging and touching, never once kissing, and nothing ever came of it.
“Like, you look really pretty.”
Fiona threw her head back again and laughed, “You, Mr. Hood, are drunk.”
“Yeah,” Calum took her hand and spun her around so her back was to his chest and rested his chin on her shoulder, “And you’re really pretty. Look at us stating facts together.”
Fiona giggled again and grabbed Calum’s cup from him, taking another sip.
Calum slowly snaked his arms around her waist and she held onto his arms with her hands, Calum swore he would have melted on her right there.
Fiona spun again and looked up at her friend of 7 years. She wanted to know what went on behind those intense eyes of his. Ashton, Michael and Luke confided in her with almost everything, she knew all about what went on in their heads, but Calum had never told her a thing. Not one detail. She had no idea that Calum was falling for her, on that night, in that shitty lighting, and he was falling for her hard.
Beer pong?”
-
The two had been waiting for their turn in beer pong for 20 minutes and finally decided to sit down on a nearby bench and just watch. Calum pulled her onto his lap and she hummed happily, with her arms around her once more.
The brown eyed boy took his arms off of her for one second while he dug through his pockets, then put them back in their rightful place, holding a joint up to her lips. She gladly took the weed into her mouth and allowed Calum to light the end for her while she took in a drag.
She held the joint between her fingers and blew out. “You’re a good friend, Cal.”
Calum frowned at that. He had been drinking a little bit more than usual and the word “friend” made his heart drop.
“Don’t wanna be friends.”
Fiona snorted, “Shut up.”
“M’serious.” Calum mumbled against her shoulder. “I don’t wanna be your friend.” He turned his head so he could place her lips on her neck, “I wanna kiss your neck.”
“Calum…”
“I’m falling for you, Fi.”
“You’re drunk.”
“So?”
“So you don’t get to do that!” Fiona suddenly jumped up off of Calum’s lap and faced him, catching the attention of a few people, but no one seemed to care enough.
“Fiona-” Calum started and reached to grab hold of her thigh but she slapped him away.
“Fuck you.” She spat and stormed away. She was probably just going to sit on the front steps. She was too drunk to drive and she left her phone with Calum.
The dark haired boy sighed and hoisted himself up off of the bench to follow after her, at least to give her her phone. He made his way through the crowd of people and was stopped by Luke right before he made it to the door.
“I don’t know what you did, but fucking fix it.” The blond poked his finger into his chest so hard he stumbled back.
“Wha-” He started but by the time he could he finish the one syllable word Luke was long gone.
Calum shook his head and pushed the door open, finding his favorite girl slumped over on the steps with her shoulders shaking. He hurried so he could crouch in front of her and rest his hands on her knees, and refused to move when she tried to push him away.
“I know you’re mad at me but you’re crying and nothing hurts me more than that.” He said softly, trying his best to get the girl in front of him to stop shaking.
After a couple minutes of letting Calum stroke her knee gently with the pad of his thumb, Fiona finally brought her head up and Calum wanted to kick himself for making her cry like that.
“I have loved you” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, “For 7 fucking years Calum.”
Calum felt like he just got all of the wind kicked out of his lungs, but he didn’t move a muscle.
“I’ve watched girls who treat you like shit come and go and I don’t even get to pick up the fucking pieces because you don’t fucking talk to me, then one night you have a little bit too much to drink and suddenly you’re falling for me?”
“I love you.”
Fiona froze.
“Fuck, Fiona I’ve loved you for 7 years. Every girl who’s come and gone has been a distraction from you because in my head, you’d never feel the same way. I never opened up to you or talked to you because I was scared that if I did I’d let it slip that I love you and I’d lose you. Every time I see you my chest feels tight and I feel like I can’t breathe, every time you laugh I can’t help but smile to myself like a fool and whenever you cry I can’t look at you because I’m afraid I’ll cry too. Screw falling for you, Fiona. I fell for you.”
Fiona didn’t move, she felt like she couldn’t move. Calum had just shared more with her in 30 seconds than he had in 7 years, she was shocked.
“What the fuck took you so long.” Her question came out as more of a statement.
“I’m an idiot.” Calum breathed out before finally leaning in and kissing the girl he had loved for so long.
*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚゚*☆*゚
Oof, here it is! So, it goes without being said that SB awoken my FNAF hyper fixation but this one is stronger because of ***GLAMROCK DAD!*** So, this AU is purely made for more GLAMROCK DAD and fam moments with Gregory.
I just want to state off the bat that Glitchtrap/Willam Afton/ PewPaw Afton or whatever you call him doesn't exist in this AU because this one is made for pure FLUFF, and Freddy and Friends are human hybrids in this so yeah
On with the show...
゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚゚*☆*゚
Set in an Au, where FazBear Entertainment is a stable company with little to no slim shady business (at least there's no missing children ). Instead FazBear Entertainment is a booming company, with pizzarias, diners, arcades and most of Pizza Plexs all over the country. Freddy and the gang are so popular that they go on tour every other season, they tour all over the country to various pizza Plexs or stadiums. On tour Freddy and his friends sing, dance, play games, and sometimes even have a skit or play for the audience to take part in (think Dora the explorer), they also give away merchandise and fazpasses as prizes or during giveaways. The gang appear at pizza plexs because the plex is the only establishment that whole tons of thousands of people, if an area doesnt have pizza Plex they'll settle for a stadium. Pizza Plex is also preferred because the gang gets to hang out with their fans afterwards, playing games at the arcade, signing autographs, and general just vibe with the audience. One day, after the show Freddy finds a little boy named Gregory sleeping on his bed on the tour bus. Freddy tries to take Gregory back to his parents but Gregory tells Freddy that he's an orphan, Freddy also relating to being an orphan (in this AU) let's Gregory stay on board at least until he can figure out what to do with him. Freddy informs the others about Gregory, but they doesn't tell Vanessa (the band manager) because she kind of mean and will throw Gregory out for sure (at least that's what they think). Later, Vanessa does find out about Gregory but grows to love him and later Freddy adopts Gregory with the rest of gang helping as co parents.
This AU is inspired by other pacifist AUs, The Doodle Bops and The Fresh Beat Band, and My Dad Is A Rockstar
Freddy- same as he is in SB. Loving, Protective, and Supportive Galmrock Dad. He really love his bandmates/tourmates and fans, his room is plastered with drawing from fans, whenever the gang visits a pizza Plex he goes around makes sure everyone's having a good time and takes time to cheer up unhappy guests. Has ears, tail and big pointy teeth, and only snarls/growls when he's REALLY upset. grew up as an orphan but found joy through music and cheering other people up.
Chica- same pizza loving workout girl. She's super sweet, a bit ditzy, but she has a big heart and stomach. When on tour she begs the gang to stop any cool food stops she's heard about and been dying to try, she and Freddy did date before they started the band but mutually broke it off so it won't interfere with there music. Loves fashion and makeup, she actually does not only her own but the whole bands makeup too. Has feathers in her hair, sheds sometimes, sheds ALOT when stressed. Chica squawkd when surprised and coos when she happy or excited.
Roxy-self assured (for the most part), determined, and boastful Roxanne. Again same here as in game (mostly). She turns just about every thing imaginble into competition, and you'll never heard the end of it when she wins. Loves go kart racing and is really good at Mario kart. She is just as strong ( maybe a bit stronger ) as the guys, arm wrestles with Monty alot (and usually wins). May have a slight crush on Chica but is too embarrassed to say or do anything about it. Growls when mad, wags tail when excited and pants when tired.
Monty-same semi aggressive gator, the only one in the band whose ego rivals Roxy’s (can you believe they used to date?), they kind of have an on and off relationship, but if the vibe is right they get along swimmingly (he he get it?). He also have “friendly” rivalry with Freddie (or at least that's who Freddie sees it), Monty tries to one up Freddy at any chance he can get especially when he feels like Roxy is watching. Despite he's temper, dudes actually pretty chill, likes to play golf and if the hotel they stay at has a pool, you know home boy's going for a swim. In this AU, after Bonnie left the band to go solo, Monty willingly auditioned and got it, but he has self esteem issues so Monty is always trying to prove himself (to himself) that he belongs with the band. Has big pointy teeth and snarls/growls loud and proud especially when he's trying to impress someone, wags tail when excited, stomp tail when mad, and submerges himself in any near by deep water when he sulks.
DJ Music Man- a man few words, he doesn't say much since he's mostly vibing out to music half of time. Despite not saying much everyone has a pretty good understanding of DJ MM. He'll chime in when it's most important. Not only is he the DJ of the group but the driver and tech guy of the group too. He has a cuddly pet spider named DJ Junior refered to as Junior for short (Roxy is terrified of him). DJMM is the tallest of the everyone, and is fully human.
Sun- In this AU, during tour season he plays the role of a Joker/Clown. He comes up with all kind of games to play with the audience, funny jokes to tell, funny dances, or doing cool tricks and flips. Sun is the same excited able boy as in the game, he's very sweet with children and tons of fun to be around, hes not one for confrontation, and is heartbroken whenever he has to call security on a child.
Moon- Along side his younger bro Sun, Moon does magic tricks, tells riddles and story he made up that involves the Glam gang and memeber of the audience. With Sun, he's the dead pan straight man of the comedic duo, and they preform two man plays and skits for the children. Unlike his hyper baby bro, Moon is more mellow and chill, he's very clever too and can be randomly deep at times. Moon's cool dude as long as you don't anger him, he very good at dealing with brats and because of this Sun will often call Moon for help before security.
Sun and Moon are both humans
Vanessa- Again Same Same, mostly. Here Vanessa is the band's manager which means she has pretty stressful job of making sure everything runs smoothly, sometimes she can be needlessly strict with the bandmates, so she's not everyone's fave all the time. She has a emotional support animal named Vanney she pets when she's anxious.
Gregory- Still the same smart, sassy and angry lil boy, but in this AU he's more caring and sweet, and with the help of Freddie he tries not to be too quick to anger.
That's all I got for now, I dont know how much I'll be posting about this AU, but if even I don't post about this AU publicly doesn't mean I'm not still working on it on my own time.
Let me know if anyone is interested in this AU
“When I’m Gone” (27).
Chapter Twenty-seven
Notes: Two more chapters left, thanks for bearing with me :D
--
They’re walking past Fazerblast, which catches Gregory’s eye long enough to warrant Cassidy tugging him by the wrist to the door labeled ‘Roxy’s Salon.’
“Focus, Gregory,” she says, voice tired.
How odd, he thinks as she leads him by the hand inside, he didn’t know ghosts could get tired. You know, being dead and all.
The lights are dimmer here than in other areas and the red barriers that reach well above their heads aren’t helping matters. “It’s like a maze,” he notes.
“Yes, it shouldn’t be too much further now.”
Gregory sighs, annoyed, and easily slips his hand from her own. No matter how much he begs, Cassidy refuses to tell him anything related to the plan. He hates being left out. Has always hated being left out, Vanessa-his sister, not the imposter wearing her skin-can attest to that.
To add insult to injury, it doesn’t help that she has yet to notice or acknowledge his hand slipping away. She remains steadfast in her approach to…. wherever they need to go. Eyes no doubt laser focused on her target. Not that Gregory can see that….not from his place a few feet back.
“Cassidy, wait up,” he whines.
She doesn’t, of course, and just sends him an unreadable look over her shoulder. “Walk faster,” she says, which is quite insensitive given Gregory’s previous injuries. “Unless, you want to tell me what happened back there, before we found you.”
Despite his body’s protests, he pushes himself forward, trying to catch up with Cassidy. He ends up passing her, but only because she’s too busy chuckling to herself. “Suit yourself. But you are going to have to share eventually.”
In truth, even if he wanted to share. He can’t. The moment from when Vanessa was towering over him and they found him lying on the floor is so, very blurry. Trying to remember only causes his head to hurt, but telling Cassidy this might cause her to worry. After how distraught she seemed earlier, he doesn’t want her to have to worry about him, ever again.
After Cassidy stops giggling to herself, she takes the lead again, but Gregory makes sure to stay close behind.
X-x-x
Samuel maintains a safe distance of about six feet between Glamrock Freddy and him. If the robot notices he doesn’t say anything.
They continue through the atrium in silence…well he’s silent and Freddy seems content to carry on an entire conversation without any prompting. His own personal tour guide. Anytime they pass a room-whether of interest to their current mission or not-Freddy will stop dead in his tracks to tell him about it.
“And here’s the door that will lead you to one of the service elevators.” They’re standing idly in front of one of the food stands, and it’s making Samuel nervous. Sure, nothing’s bad has happened to him…yet, but standing here they’re as good as sitting ducks.
“Freddy, uh, can we please move along?”
“Sammy,” Freddy chides, in a voice so uncharacteristically paternal that Samuel does a double-take. “We’ll get there when we get there. Besides Fazcade is close-by, be patient.”
Dumbfounded by the change in attitude, all Samuel can do is nod. “Sure…yeah…but we still need to hurry things along. Six am is a few hours away, and being out here makes me nervous.”
He chuckles, patting one of Samuel’s shoulders. “I understand. Let’s get moving then.”
X-x-x
Elizabeth curses Cassidy for giving them the hardest to find location.
“What are you so mad for?” Carmichael asks.
“Why are you so annoying?” She snaps back.
“I was trying to emulate you. Am I doing a decent job?”
She scoffs. It’s not that she isn’t unfamiliar with people poking fun at her in this way (she did grow up with two brothers). It’s that she’s unused to the banter, after being so socially isolated for so long.
For the last nine years, getting her kids back preoccupied her. Between all the court-mandated classes and letters that were sent back still-unopened and the phone calls that were never answered and all the pleas for forgiveness that were ignored, Elizabeth never had time to make those connections. The closest person she would even consider joking around with would be her mother-who passed away a few years back.
“Asshole,” she mutters. “Do you even know where this supposed arcade machine even is? I mean how are we supposed to know which one it is? She didn’t tell us the name of the fucking thing.”
Carmichael chuckles. “Yes, Lizzie, I remember where it is. I did help build them.”
“Argh, stop calling me that! And I fail to see why beating a game will help release my daughter.”
They reach a wooden door at the end of a long hallway. Carmichael pauses at the door, hand on the doorknob. “Because Liz, it interrupts fatha’s electromagnetic frequencies.” Ignoring her blatant shock, he continues, “Gregory was right, Vanessa isn’t possessed. She played a game that had a version of fatha’s consciousness on it. Don’t ask me how or why or when he had the time for that, but he did…apparently. I don’t fully understand how he controls her, but I do know by playing all three of these games we break through the signal that he uses to maintain control. Mostly Cas’ idea.”
Elizabeth stares at him, mouth agape. “I-I have so many questions.”
“And I have so many answers, but let’s get through the next few hours first.” He offers her a smile. “It’s all going to be okay.”
Tears well up in her eyes. “Shut up,” she croaks, side-stepping him into the room.
Carmichael or Michael steps in behind her, shutting the door. “Now,” he says, “let’s make fatha rue the day he ever considered hurting our family.”
X-x-x
Venturing further into the back room of Roxy's salon, Cassidy can’t help but feel something’s off. Maybe it’s the lights flickering, or maybe it’s Gregory’s unusual demeanor and silence, whatever it is, it’s making her uneasy.
Despite the fact that he seems otherwise fine, she can’t shake the feeling that something happened back there between Gregory and him. Call it paranoia, but Gregory is acting decidedly ‘off’,
Cassidy shakes her head, ignoring the sideways glance that Gregory sends her. She’s overreacting. Gregory’s fine…
Jesus Christ! What is he doing!?
Metal pipe in hand, Gregory is winding up to hit the game’s very breakable, very irreplaceable screen.
“Stop!” Cassidy yells, lunging for the pipe. She intercepts it just before it makes contact with the machine. Thank goodness she can’t feel physical pain, otherwise she’d be out of commission for a while.
“Why?” Gregory stupidly asks, stumbling a little when she rips the pipe from his hands. “I thought we needed to destroy it to save Vanessa. Isn’t that what you said?”
“No! I said we needed to play all three games to possibly have a chance at saving your sister. There are three games, that’s why we all broke off into groups. Where in the world did you get the idea that we needed to hit the arcade game with a pipe? Where did you even find a pipe?”
Gregory smiles sheepishly. “Sorry, I-I think I misunderstood. Although, I’m still lost on how playing a stupid game will bring Vanessa back.”
“It’s fine,” Cassidy assures him, though it very nearly wasn’t. “Let’s just boot the game up. Press the red start button.”
Gregory does as instructed, slamming the button with an open palm. The game comes to life, the intro screen popping up. When she doesn’t say anything else, content on hanging back to watch his progress, he pauses, turning back to her.
“Aren’t you going to play the game?” He asks.
“Oh, I can, but I thought you might like to play it. I helped design the concept of these games a long time ago, as a way to counteract him.” She tries and fails to keep the scowl off her face.
“Why do you keep referring to my grandpa like that?”
The question catches her off guard. “I beg your pardon?” The feeling that something is wrong only intensifies. She grits her teeth. “Did you just call a known child murderer, your ‘grandpa’?”
Gregory doesn’t even have the decency to look embarrassed. “Yeah,” he says, like it should be obvious. “Because he is.”
“Greg,” Cassidy starts, because she has to remember he’s still quite young and might not understand, “you’re related to him, but he isn’t your family. If that makes sense?”
He shrugs. “You’re just jealous because he actually loves me and Vanny.”
“No-no, Gregory what’s gotten into you?”
He’s staring her down now, eyes a glowing purple hue. His arms are hanging limply to his sides and mouth slack, like he’s a puppet waiting for further instruction.
“Gregory….?”
With an inhuman screech-that she’s only ever heard from possessed animatronics-he lunges for the metal pipe resting by her feet.
He’s faster than usual, startling Cassidy. But she still has a notable advantage over him (apparently being a ghost-like being has some perks). Gregory misses the object by a mere milli-second, falling and thumping his chin against the floor with a very audible thunk.
“You stupid bitch!” Gregory screams at her, in a voice deeper and raspier than his own. He gets on his hands and knees, trying to stand up. “I’ll kill you! I’ll kill all of you!”
She cocks her head, standing right above him. “ Oh ? Is that all?” For some reason, having William speak to her makes this all way easier. “Because if it is, I’d like to get on with my mission. Thank you for your much needed message.”
He looks up at her, teeth gritted together so tight she’s surprised they haven’t snapped. “This wasn’t supposed to happen,” he says.
“But it did. Sorry for this, Gregory.”
“Wha-”
A sharp thwack rings out, and Gregory slumps over, unconscious.
Cassidy winces. “Sorry,” she mumbles out. “I promise I’ll-we’ll make it up to you later.” Bending down, she places a gentle kiss on his crown.
Rising she makes a beeline for the machine. He will be back, and she has no intention of being scared away.
Let the games begin!
literally I was watching someone's playthrough of pesterquest as it was being released, and I almost finished it, but then I got spoiled for the fact that Ult Dirk shows up, and it totally knocked me off the wagon. like I've had it in my head that eventually I'll go watch Dirk's content, but it's been so long since I watched everything else... by this point it'd be kinda disjointed to even do that.
also, I was weirdly irritated by MSPAR in pesterquest? I found them so charming in hiveswap, because they were characterized as kind of a bumbling, overeager and well intentioned traveler that just wanted to help. but in pesterquest they get all know-it-all ish... it's reeeeeeally off putting. like I could forgive them being confused or disheartened, but they went a step too far and got all cynical and been-there-done-that, and gave a lot of advice that just wasn't good? as if they were some sort of expert or something. it makes pesterquest kind of irritating because you play as an irritating audience surrogate character who does shit that you don't actually want to do.
like, okay, Eridan's route, right? at the end, the advice MSPAR gave was basically "stop being an asshole" which is like... warranted and fair? but first of all, this Eridan needs different advice than homestuck's Eridan! and second, would a real asshole actually take advice like that? it's so... basic.
Eridan is a character that I'm not super attached to, but I get peeved when people get him wrong. in homestuck, the thing that Eridan needs, is to realize that if he wants something from another person, he has to try not to be a leech about it. everything is all about his perspective all the time. when he wants something, he'll ask, but if he doesn't get it, he'll whine and beg, and if people get mad at him for doing that, he gets all self deprecating and bemoans how hopeless his situation is, and how much everyone hates him. like he'll literally annoy one person into getting fed up with him, just so he can go cry to another person about his problems, and ask them for advice that he probably won't even take, because getting attention was the point, and this is technically what he wanted anyway. and the more people catch on and get frustrated, the more fuel he has for his "everybody hates me" pity party.
and the interesting thing about Eridan is that all of this probably comes from a real worry that nobody could like him, even if he tried. I mean, most of his friends are lower on the hemospectrum, and have a systemic reason to hold some sort of resentment towards him. so like, he probably likes Feferi because the two make an appropriate match class-wise... but he also probably likes her because she's his only friend that is more privileged than he is, so she can't hold his status against him.
also, pesterquest leans into that old fanon thing where Eridan is indiscriminately desperate and will date anyone. like... no! originally, Eridan specifically wanted to fill all of his quadrants! he wanted a matesprit (Feferi), a kismesis (Vriska), an auspistice (Kanaya), and a moirail (possibly Karkat). and not only that, but he wanted these specific people to fill these specific roles for him unconditionally and without conflict, in spite of their actual feelings. Feferi doesn't want to date him... she doesn't even really want to be his moirail because she's doing all the emotional labor and it's exhausting. and Kanaya had a red crush on Vriska at the time... the last thing she wants is to be auspistice-zoned! meanwhile, Vriska is becoming less and less interested in Eridan anyway because she's got her own unhealthy fascinations with certain people. so like, Kanaya wouldn't even be acting as a proper auspistice anyway... she wouldn't be helping to calm a volatile rivalry, she'd be trying to force a lackluster relationship to continue. that's like, the opposite of how it's supposed to be!
literally the only one of these that might've worked is Karkat as his moirail, because Karkat is amazing at giving advice, and dealing with difficult people's bullshit without getting sucked into too much drama. but like... that's probably the one relationship out of all of these that started from genuine charisma between two people, rather than Eridan deciding who he wanted to pursue based on a checklist of socially advantageous qualities. at least with that, it's implied that Karkat also likes talking to Eridan... like, both of them are getting something out of this. in all other cases, Eridan isn't even in it for the romance. he's in it to gain validation by living up to a societal standard.
it's only after our 12 trolls end up on the meteor after their SGRUB session that Eridan starts getting all weird about dating people other than the specific four he was already interested in. and that's specifically because there are now only 12 trolls left that exist. these people are the only ones left, so if he can't get a relationship to work with any of them, that's that. so basically, when pesterquest characterizes him this way, even though he still lives on a fully populated Alternia... why is he acting like that?
Eridan needs to learn how to actually put something into a relationship that he wants to get something out of. and to do that, he needs to believe that he has value beyond his status, and that it's possible for people to be motivated by more than class politics and spite. he treats people exploitatively because he expects them to try and exploit him just as badly... it's not just about fixing bad behavior. it's about him learning to put in work, and give another person reasons to like him, without feeling like a sucker for conceding any ground. the more defensive he gets, the worse he is.
and pesterquest messed up Jake's route too! what is it about hope players that stumps people like this?? I get that Jake is tricky, but jeez... I won't get into it as much, but Jake is always masking what he really feels, and the way his route handles him makes him seem like he's acting equally neutrally friendly to each of the other alpha kids. but then it implies that his true feelings are that he considers all three of his friends' romantic interest in him to be equally serious, and equally unwanted. that is... blatantly untrue. he knows Roxy might find him attractive but won't make a genuine move on account of Jane. she literally drunkenly told him so. and Roxy also drunkenly told Jake that Jane likes him. meanwhile, he also pretty much knows that Dirk had a crush on him when they were kids, but back then he kind of shut it down, or at least sent mixed signals, because he wasn't confident about having a crush on a boy. now Dirk himself is not confident that Jake actually likes him, and is trying to back off because he feels like his younger self was overly aggressive, but the AR is still as brazen as Dirk used to be when pursuing Jake, so it kind of undermines that attempt. still, Jake feels like he might've already come off poorly to Dirk. he does like him though... and he knows that Jane has a crush on him, and doesn't want to be the one who disappoints her, so he weasels his way out of addressing it. that is the deal with the alpha kids. not Jake just kind of bemoaning the fact that all of his friends are in love with him and he's not down for anything. so once again, we see a pesterquest route written on the basis of mistaken assumptions.
sorry for going on and on and on... I just find all of this so frustrating. half the characters are only the fan interpretations of themselves, and MSPAR sucks, and the meta is confusing, and... I wish it was good but it's not.
I love you for this ask anon, I never played friendsim but I did see a lot of people who tuned into all the friendsims express annoyance over the way Reader was portrayed in pesterquest. I can't even remember what happened in the Jake route bc I'm tired but it definitely could've been better.
Imo, best alpha kid routes go from: Roxy, Jane, Jake, and Dirk (half his route wasn't even dedicated to him lol rip)
Fuck you I'm talking about KingdomStuck anyway
I made a post about it long ago but it deserves more!! bc I like it!!
Ok so basically most Princes end up being transfered to anothwr Aspect to study bc they keep destroying their classmates' cores on accident (or maybe it's on purpose. who knows). Dirk switches with Eridan, so he goes to Hope and Eridan goes to study on Heart. In College of Hopeful Futures he meets Jake, and the teachers pair them for training bc of the conversation their teacher had with the principal of the college which boils down to "Jake could fix him" "Dirk could make him worse". They fall in love. Dirk fucks shit up, a lot. Jake also fucks shit up, a lot. One day Dirk convinces him to skip class bc there's this really cool cave he found and he wants to take Jake to explore ans oh my god why is Cronus in there living like a raccoon
Also all Alpha trolls are sibs with their Beta counterparts (Damara and Aradia are sibs, Cronus and Eridan, etc). Their ancestors are their parents (only the Beta ones obv)
Davenepkat is re- *gunshots*
ok but for real it is. Dave meets Karkat at Knight camp. They go to this cool cave Dave found and oh my god why is Nepeta living there like a raccoon. Oh ok it's just catgirl things. Cool, cool. Wanna go walk around with these guys you just met? yeah sure why the fuck not. When they gey back to camp Dave brings her and it's like "hey teach looks at this cool cat i found" "DAVE WHAT THE FUCK!" "you know im right karkat" ":33< meow" the instructor looks at them dead in the eyes and sheds a single tear before adding "I have never been so proud of my campers"
The Time Kingdom vs Space Continent drama boils down to "please brother, let Us stop this madness u_u we can make things right again, like they once were! all can live in peace!" "LOL CANONS AND MuRDER AND WORLD DOMINATION GOES BRRRRR" "Calli0pe miss that man is insane and sick and twisted" "who are yoU" "I just hired myself as a spy f0r y0u. N0w we need t0 make a plan t0 st0p him 0r he'll kill us all" "ok"
Roxy runs an illegal bar with Rose, and Kanaya goes there frequently. it's right at the border between Breath and Hope. The Muse of Breath knows about it and simply doesn't care, meanwhile the Lord of Hope is too busy trying to find out how Chess works (they're failing). No one knows why the fuck a Rogue of Void and a Seer of Light dropouts are running an illegal bar so far away from their Aspects. Neither do them really. Another mystery is how Kanaya gets there. The answer is Jade Harley but no one has to know that
SPEAKING OF JADE HARLEY she's a powerful Witch (or, promises to be. she's learning, ok? she's really good tho). Everyday she wakes up and chooses kindness. Everyday she talks to her bestie Muse of Space who gave her the money to even pay to attend the best college in the Space continent (which is called "The Greatest College at the Space Continent"), where she met Kanaya Maryam, and eventually got paired up with her for training. That made them grow closer and Jade saw she was really in need of a partner and thought "She could fix Rose" and then she did
John and Jane are like siblings and John got sent to Life as a transfer student because of some... Issues, he had at his previous school. He basically gets sent to a rich kid school disguised as a dumpster school, and his last school's princilal had no idea about it. He learns a lot of stuff on how to handle his emotions better and how to overall be better at handling his own powers, while Jane struggles to find Life within her, even if she indirevtly manifests it 90% of the time. They end up figuring a lot of things out, togheter. Feferi and Meenah and up getting close to them and I think FefJane could be real here, it might work but idk.
Fun fact about the illegal bar is that Vriska was banned from all gambling unless it's against another Light-bound. She's not happy about this.
Kurloz is at Heart with Meulin and they run a karaoke. None of them can speak.
Sollux is really just vibing and watching stuff turn to ashes with arms crossed saying "Ii warned you". He's referring to the game of Fiddlespawn he's playing with Tavros
That's really all for now, tune in later for more great KingdomStuck lore
