OKAY SO

here's the lore on twilight, specifically for their powers/abilities

not every vampire has one, only some vampires do, the ones with abilities are kinda rare but not extremely rare yk

So the Cullens(Edwards family) there's Esme, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, Emmett, and Carlisle

out of them, Alice, Jasper, and Edward have special abilities (people will say Carlisle does but like it's self control, like when it comes to blood)

Alice can see the future, but it's always changing based off of people's decisions, because the outcome therefore changes

Jasper can tamper with emotions, like he can make you feel more happy or more sad and stuff like that

and Edward can read minds(except Bella's)

and when Bella gets her ability, she can create a shield with her mind, and it protects her and others from other mental abilities (like Edward reading minds or Jane's(from the volturi) mental pain)

and these powers usually form in a vampire when they had a significant talent/idk how to say it for something while they were still alive

For instance, Jasper can manipulate emotions because he was a soldier in the Confederate army (I know 💀) when he was alive, and was very charismatic and always had control of a crowd, as if he was guiding their emotions

Alice had always been able to tell the future I believe, she's a special case

but yeah it works kinda like that

Only the wolves can shape shift, and that's only into their wolf form

(and they do not keep their clothes when they turn back, bc the clothes get ripped when they transform)

but yeah hehe that's the lore with the powers
