Spooky Season Watches and Recs

My current and past spooky season watches with really short reviews in no particular order. All shows are on Netfilx

-Discovery of Witches: Current watch, timeline is a little unrealistic, but then again so are witches. Good show that completed so no cliffhanger ending. Currently on season 2

-The Magicians: Harry Potter for adults with swearing and drugs Have rewatched some episodes. Good show, second season is where it hits its stride when secondary characters get a lot more screen time. Good for a long binge.

-Lucifer: One of my favorite shows... until the last season that was so bad that it ruins the rest of the show. Just pretend the last season doesn't exist if you watch it

-Sabrina: New take on a classic, once again last season was a let down though so, a mindless binge. The musical episodes are horrible and no TV show should do them. It was okay.

-The Mayfair Witches: Recently watched, hard to get into at first and the story progression isn't great, but I love Alexandra Dadario. Season 2 is currently filming.

-The Vampire Diaries Trilogy shows: The Originals is the best of the three, I said what I said. *Only Legacies is on Netflix, Vampire Diaries is HBO, Prime for the Originals

-Fate: A Winx Saga: It would have been good if it had nothing to do with the original Winx

-Wednesday: I kind of feel like everyone has seen this one at this point

-The Good Witch: It is a hallmark TV show, low stakes, low on the witchiness (In my opinion). A relaxing watch but more for the background than something to keep you glued to your screen

I have Nimona on my watchlist but I haven't started it yet because I am procrastinating again.

Also saw the trailer for the Ladybug and Cat Noir movie and I am crying!!! Happy tears!!

🎬 Drama : When the Phone Rings (2024)

last week the ending scene of the first eps from this drama are showed up in my timeline. and it was from BTOB’s fan-site instead a K-drama base. turns out it was Hyunsik who sung the ost.

i started to watch the 2 entire episodes just to listening to his song. now i have to patiently waiting every week to watch new eps. why its so cliche wattpad coded but make me so obsessed with them.😮‍💨

School Spirits

That was so good and it ended on a cliffhanger so I just know Netflix is going to cancel it and I’m going to cry.

Thoughts:

I did not see the ending with Janet and her body coming

I did realize something was off with Mr Martin fairly early on though

I was so curious about Rhonda defending him until she brought up that she had gone through this before and was trying to figure the stuff out on her own

I love Simon so much but I really thought the plot twist was going to be that Simon killed her. Which could explain why he saw her

Also that poor kid who was always there when Simon would be talking to Maddie and be staring straight at him

Emilio reading the letter was amazing

And the part where Wally is staring at his mom and then takes off his jersey, I rewatched that part a couple times

Dawn’s crossing over part was incredible. Her face after Maddie tells her that she was a good friend and walks away. She looked like she was finally at peace

I may not have liked Mr Martin but I did like the ghostly movie nights and stuff like that

The part where Simon calls out Xavier for being attracted to strong women, he was so real for that

Also where did the blood come from??

I have so many thoughts about this show but I’m not getting my hopes up until it’s renewed

Episode 15

In the Penultimate Episode. Jeong Woo (PARK HYUNG SIK) finally proposed to his lady love Ha-Neul (the beautiful PARK SHIN-HYE) but before an answer could manifest a phone call came and Jeong Woo took that moment to take Ha-Neul into a passionate kiss.

Ending the Penultimate Episode with a marriage proposal (no answer) and a romantic encounter (presumably).

Will Ha-Neul accept her boyfriend's (once enemy/academic challenger) proposal? Or as viewers are we in for an unexpected ending?

Doom At Your Service

Here comes Park Bo Young yet again to come and save the day and get me hooked to kdramas. First getting me into them with Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and now this after a break of not watching them.

This kdrama really had everything I needed:

Angst

Humor

Family bonding

A realistic representation of friendship

A tough guy being soft for the girl he loves

God as a terminally ill high schooler
