the introduction of “the pantheon” in doctor who had me thinking about hatchetfield and the lords in black 🤔🤔🤔

we only have two so far (I think) with toymaker and maestro. Toymaker didn’t immediately hit me with LiB vibes, but about halfway through the devils chord I realised maestro really reminded me of Pokotho/pokey.

there’s the obvious music connection, but also the way they want to be the only music. This manifests a little differently between them, where pokotho makes everyone sing his song, maestro is removing everyone’s ability to make music so that they are the only one who can be heard.

the toymaker is a little harder. I think he may be wiggly? The connection to toys, but also the warping reality to make people angry and violent. I also noticed that they both have a tendency to put on a “silly” voice (wiggly’s cutesy uwu speak and the toymakers very exaggerated accents)

my third point is more based on my own personal theory. I’ve seen some theories about Ruby being a similar type of being to the pantheon, with her reality warping abilities. My idea is that ruby’s birth mother was apart of the pantheon. I think perhaps she’d be a Webby-esque character.

i don’t think the writers did this on purpose, but I think it’s interesting to explore nonetheless :)
