astrocartography ac lines

astrocartography is a method to finding which areas of the world are the best for you to live in, depending on what you are looking for. this post contains the ascendant lines for each planet. 

moving east or west of your line will change the house emphasis, and a day vs night chart changes the emphasis of benefic and malefic planets, which is highly individualized, so for this post these are general effects.

sun ac: you feel more yourself here, and others can see it. you light up the rooms you walk into. you gain a new sense of confidence and others can see your generosity and enthusiasm. this is a great line to move to emphasize the qualities of your natal sun, to gain confidence and create a strong sense of identity.

moon ac: this is a more withdrawn line to move to, a place where you are forced to be more in-tune with your emotions and may have ties to your mother or motherly figures. the emotions from moving on this line will show in outward ways, such as volunteering more, taking on a public caretaker role, etc.

mercury ac: this is a great place to move to to further education, to teach and learn, and share information. others find you intelligent and witty. you find yourself meeting lots of new people. 

venus ac: this line is where you will feel the most beautiful and others can see it too. life feels pleasant and easygoing, you may be more motivated to start artistic ventures. you might work most on your appearance here. people like you and you attract more opportunities. 

mars ac: this is a place where you will be very active. this is a good place to move if you’re an athlete or looking to focus on passion projects. others find you decisive and potentially a little too forward. you may be more accident prone here. you may also work more on your own. 

jupiter ac: this is a lucky place for you to move to attract good opportunities and meet people, to be more optimistic and share with a community. you might find yourself traveling more. however, if you deny the growth you undergo here, you might find your body reacting negatively. 

saturn ac: you take on more responsibilities here. people see you as a workaholic. you learn to rely on yourself. you learn self-discipline, but may burn out soon. this is a line for work in school or business, not for pleasure. 

uranus ac: life takes unexpected turns here. you may meet outstanding opportunities and have a great sense of freedom and independence, but do not come onto this line with a plan. it is a line for developing courageousness, trying something new, and not for settling down or finding long-term relationships.

neptune ac: this is a line that may bring you closer to your faith or spirituality. it can be pleasant, however your judgment may be clouded. this is a good line to heighten creativity and dreaming big. you might be more prone to substance use or other methods of escapism here. 

pluto ac: this is a line that will completely transform you and how you approach your life. there is a chance of meeting more karmic relationships. this is a cathartic experience. others might see you as someone with high influence and power. 

chiron ac: this place might be somewhere you have a desire to escape to. this place may bring up old wounds, but gives you a chance to heal from them. you might work on your spiritual gifts here. the day-to-day life here is not easy.

It actually annoys me so much that Rick made Camp Jupiter seem so much weaker than Camp Half Blood or at the very least how that interpretation has such a strong chokehold on the fandom

Camp Half Blood has way less people and just isn’t as prepared as Camp Jupiter is for a war. Their main advantage is that they’re using more guerrilla tactics and that they’re fighting a defensive war. Which sure, can help, but CJ would still be able to devastate CHB even if CHB still somehow managed to win and Rick never did a good job of making them actually feel a threat

People will argue that CHB fought against a bigger threat than CJ did in TLO and they’re right. But, Rick still should have made it that they were actually facing an equal threat to CHB. Especially because CJ wouldn’t have even know what was actually going on (they wouldn’t have known who Luke was or where some of their forces, such as traitorous demigods, came from). They were fighting this war blind which people don’t really seem to respect

Also, I feel like CHB should have been way more divided than CJ. CHB was still bridging a divide between the children of major and minor gods (because there is no way that issue got fixed that quickly) which has never been an issue for CJ. While they do have more political issues that’s mainly just because they have actual leaders, which is something that CHB doesn’t have in the same way as CJ.

CJ also trains year round while at CHB it’s mainly just for the summer so their troops aren’t going to as well trained. Especially when it comes to fighting together and not as individuals.

The people at CJ have also dedicated their lives to New Rome. When they’re done with their time in the military, most of them are going to end up going to college and living in New Rome which just isn’t the kind that CHB kids can expect

Some people clearly don’t know anything about what goes into fighting wars and it shows. I won’t claim to be an expert but the way that people just brush off CJ is so annoying

The way how in We Know the Devil the couple you choose to go with always finishes the ending by pretty much confirming the worse insecurities of the girl who got excluded, Venus and Jupiter still keep trying so hard to remain good kids that they can't even hear Neptune anymore, Venus and Neptune hold hands without any effort without even trying like Jupiter did so hard in the only way she could bring herself to, Jupiter and Neptune look at each other the way they can't ever look at Venus

Just... the way that in the blue ending when the narration is from Venus + Jupiter's pov and they say they "won't let her stain" them referring to being "stained" with her "impure" but valid feelings, with her rage at being treated so poorly by those around them, they won't let those thoughts in because they want to be the good kids out of the bad ones and Neptune never did and even when she talks to them afterwards nothing she says will ever get through to them again. They chose to stay clean. The way the achievement for the blue ending is called "Lukewarm, I spit you out" and is the only one named after a Bible verse, and it's one about how spiritually "hot" people are active in their faith and spiritually "cold" people "can still be strongly influenced" but someone like Neptune who knows just enough to intentionally reject the word of god is the kind of person that "deserves" to be "spit out" like a lukewarm drink

The way that in the red ending when the narration is from Neptune + Venus pov they say they chose to be distant from her that they affirm time and again they had no idea she could possibly be going through so much turmoil that she'd turn out to be it, this sudden storm, and it's not because they were upset at her they at the end of the day just don't understand, they want to, because how could she possibly have had all those feelings deep inside her? They're safe from her storm, it does not break over them, in that moment together they no longer share in all that turmoil from Jupiter's at all. Their view of her may not be admiration but it's still so unreachable and unfathomable and distant from her true feelings and that way she'll forever stay. The way the achievement for the red ending is "No prince for the princesses" and Jupiter is the designated "tomboy" out of the three of them, how she's the one trying the hardest to keep this strong front and always do the right thing and help the other two but "always messes it up" in fundamentally misunderstanding what they needed in the end they didn't even need her to be all that for them because they needed each other and not her

The way that in the yellow ending when the narration is from Neptune + Jupiter pov they say they chose to hide their faces that they're the only ones to escape Venus' light because they do not see her the same way she sees herself, "he's" a poor unfortunate friend of theirs that they'll feel guilty for having to fight against but that simply wouldn't ever fit into this new freedom they found for themselves in each other, they can see their light their way out of this camp but Venus who wants so bad to see her light has it taken away from her with every time they stare into each other's eyes a bit too long, everytime she's suddenly invisible even when physically close and looked directly at they still see right through her true self. The way the achievement for the yellow ending is called "Help me God, I'm in love" and how the lights always appear when the other two are acting close, how Jupiter accidentally falls with Venus to the ground but instantly helps her up and turns her attention entirely back to Neptune right away and how afraid Venus is during this whole thing she just wants them to allow her that moment of "weakness" to be herself with them while all they want is their way out and not have to deal with the devil at all, all she wants is to embrace it

I don't really like this quote of Mars's, but I do respect it. Duty is an honourable thing; and sacrifice is noble enough. But it's not something I could ever do. Just… I am not a person who could be a main character in any piece of media. Unless I had powers that made me immune to pain, I wouldn't really be able to handle it. I am an open coward, and I am not too scared to admit it. If I was the person upon whom all the universe's hopes and dreams fell, I don't think I could do it.

A Spectacular, Rare Alignment of 6 Planets Is About to Happen in The Sky

Six of the planets of the Solar System are about to line up for a rare sight in Earth's sky.

In the wee small hours of 3 and 4 June 2024, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus will appear in a straight line in an alignment known as a planet parade.

Only Venus will be absent – even Earth's waning crescent moon is going to put in an appearance.

It's not uncommon for several planets to be in the sky at once, but it's less common for more planets to align.

Any number of planets from three to eight constitutes an alignment. Five or six planets assembling is known as a large alignment, but five-planet alignments are significantly more frequent than six.

These alignments do not represent the planets lining up in space like you see in diagrams and illustrations of the Solar System. That's not a thing that actually happens in the real Universe, sadly.

A planetary alignment occurs because the planets of the Solar System all orbit the Sun more or less on a flat plane called the ecliptic.

Some are a little above or below this plane, but it's roughly the same.

This is because of the way stars form, including the Sun.

A baby star in a cloud of material starts spinning; the cloud around them swirls into a disk that feeds into the baby star.

A planet forms from what remains of the disk and, if left to its own devices, will stay in that level position.

This means that, occasionally, the planets will be on the same side of the Sun as they move along their orbits, so we get to see them in the sky at the same time.

They appear to be in a straight line because they're all on the ecliptic.

This is what will be happening in early June, around an hour before sunrise. You might need some visual aids.

While Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will be bright enough to see with the naked eye, Uranus and Neptune are too far and faint.

If you want to catch a glimpse, you'll need binoculars or a telescope.

Like. Hades & Zeus were best friends during the war. Hades was Zeus’s solace as he dealt with various political & social affairs that have to do with being The Leader and Prophecy Child while Zeus was Hades’s solace as being the only one who would Sit Down And Work With Him bc most of the others just dismissed him bc he was in the background a lot or were scared of him bc he has a Resting Bitch/Protective Face. Hades going through the war and ending it thinking that this friendship and partnership would extend to Zeus’s Reign and they would be near-equals or at least Hades would be a good counsel but next think he [Hades] knows, Poseidon, their anger-filled and not-quite-all-there brother, is laughing directly at Zeus’s side & Hades is banished to the deep depths, forced to hold their Father’s and abusers’ key. Poseidon who they can never seem to explain the difference of morals between squashing ants vs humans, Poseidon who enjoys the interest of torture but hates eating bc it ‘feels weird’ in their body, Poseidon who has inhuman amounts of power and stamina but whose help is just as unreliable as the Ocean’s. Poseidon who could have ended the war as soon as it woke up but found a way to wander away each time. Poseidon who they thought was a traitor for a long while. Hades was Zeus’s best friend, but Poseidon who barely anybody seems to know stands at his side? Hades was known throughout the war as many things, the holder of grudges most prevalent of all of them, and that’s going to bite Zeus who once relied on that best of all the most in the butt.

Thoughts on the new love song?

Well the first thing to keep in mind is that the song is only new to us, Dream said he wrote it a while ago. In fact, he specifically called it a poem instead of a song, and said that he wanted to do a "depiction" of it if he were to release it (which does make sense - not only have some of the lines been repurposed for other pieces, but the poem itself is a bit on the wordy side for a song)

As I said to one of my mutuals (hi @promise-me-moon hope you don't mind me @'ing you), Planet in Your Eyes feels like it belongs in Dream's 2021 music era. That's not a bad thing, there's just a clear difference (to me at least) in the production and lyricism

Some of the things he mentions in it feel very pre-fame, late teens/early adulthood. There's an...innocence to the poem that current Dream doesn't really have anymore, both because of what he's been through, but also just as a matter of him growing up. It's very "in that past life we lived at 18", although I wouldn't say for certain they're talking about the same moment in time and/or person

I would also bet, if it had made it onto TWWTH or if it gets released in the future, that a lot of the pronouns and specific references to the muse being a woman would get edited out. Not even for dnf-related reasons - the poem was most likely written before Dream came out, so a newer version would probably reflect that

Anyway Dream seeing a whole planet in his lover's eyes is genuinely very adorable, especially when you remember this man is a space nerd /fond
