Cat Rubbing - Design, Effects, and Extra Notes.

No thoughts, head empty, only cat boy.

Design

This design and model are by me (maydayfireball). Originally, his shirt was white, while shorts were black. However, that made him look too much like other pikos in the concert, so i ended up changing him to the colors you see now. I also present to you.. a very rough sketch of my initial design for him LSKDFJSLDF

He's very obviously based off of what we can see from the original MV's design. I chose to not give him a leash, because i didn't want it to blur his design since he already has a long, thin moving object (his tail.) At one point the tail used to be black with a white tip, and the bow was black as well ! That was to make it look like an alternative to his USB tail - but I ended up going with the same color as his hair so the ears looked natural instead of like. fake cat ears. This Cat Piko?? Real.

Effects

The first effect set I want to talk about is the talking section in the beginning. This was made with a combination of dropshadow, Neonpost, and object distortion. Since this part isn't sung by Piko (it's sung by Len), it honestly felt appropriate to make it so he wasn't the center of attention, so to speak.

The second effect is his framed section ! A Paintingshader did most of the heavy lifting on this one. I wanted it to look like a renaissance painting in this scene, though I'm not sure if that style really came through..

Extras

This song came to be in the concert because I had originally asked Pikozi if I could make an mmd pv of their cover ! But I decided that adding it to PLP would be more fun. I really just wanted to give Piko cute animal ears.

Did you know that this year is the year of the cat in the Vietnamese zodiac? I think that makes this choice even more perfect.

I love truly when creativity meets with handicraft and graphic design gains a shape, which works on different senses. From this I linked my ideas with @neonoff_com cause I wanted to do more than just paper print:). Today in full beauty I show you up the perfectly transfering of collage to linear form, which was sequently translated into NEON. Enjoy!👁

How do you even describe the music you like? I know nothing about music terms but even without that, I know how music makes me Feel

Like I'm listening to EUPHORIA by FUJII and I love the way this sounds, like Running feels gentle. It feels like laying back against static waves and looking at a not-quite-black skybox with jpg artifacts. It feels unreal but in a way that's a hug. And it has layers! It's easy to let it just slip into the background and keeps my brain occupied and happy while I focus on other stuff, or even as I just get lost in thought.

Like generally music has general moods, like Miracle by Madeon makes me feel like I'm flying, and lots of music just makes me feel more pumped up and excited and it all just fits Moods
