I think the existence of Yami Malik is one of the best plot twist of Yu-Gi-Oh, because at that point Malik, original flavour, had been doing a lot of awful and fckd up stuff.

A lot of viewers were probably waiting for the reveal that he was indeed possessed and there was a Ryou-like personality under all of that, but lol nope. The fcked up dude who tried to force Yugi to kill Joey was the good side of the personality. That was the nice one. The other one is worse.
