You earned it,” she laughs, pulling it over her head and handing it to you. You roll your eyes and pull it on, her eyes never leaving your form.

You raise an eyebrow, and she smirks, “Looks better on you, anyways.”

2023 Fic Recs

I've seen a couple of posts where people are sharing some of their favourite Tumblr fics of the year, so here's mine. I must stress I have too many to list, but here's four that I've re-read multiple times this year cos I adored them. Whilst I'm primarily a fluff blog, I do interact with spicier content so bear that in mind before you click!

1. I Am Afraid Not Of Leaving But Being Forgotten by @pinkkittysaw (18+ blog - SFW but please respect pinkkittysaw boundaries of not having minors interact with their work) Oh, Clive Rosfield, I love you so. All of pinkkittysaw's work is wonderful, but I have such a soft spot for a soft, caring Clive and as someone who has low self-esteem (working on it, my friends!) this just speaks to my soul.

2. Ask Request by @neondogs (18+ blog, SFW piece) I haven't played a single game that contains Chris Redfield and only seen parts of Vendetta, but Aspen's Chris Redfield x reader fics have made me fall in love. 4. I love when you find an author who just has a good flavor to their writing. It could be the way they handle characters, the way they use certain tropes or themes, even the specific lilt of their words. Its familiar and comforting and carries across different stories, like coming back to a place of comfort and recognizing the furniture.

The ones that are ugly are the most profitable ones. There are like 4 collections that got in the game early and they’re what sells for thousands/millions of dollars. People have compared it to an MLM scheme, the later people got in the game with their NFTs the lower their value, it doesn’t really have to do with artistic merit. I’m not 100% familiar with NFTs but that’s my understanding from what I’ve seen.

That tracks with how btc works in general. Like a handful of ppl are profiting and convincing everyone else it's equally as profitable but it can't possibly be while they're hogging all of it so everyone that joins in after them is just helping them get richer.

It's why ppl who are in are always really pressuring others to do it. Literally 'quit your job, make NFTs'...like? I've heard that before.

I'm not entirely against BTC for the sole reason that I'm not entirely pro bank either, if that makes sense. But uh...kind of wish it would just...be over. Like everything. I am kind of tired of non tangible transactions.

Anyway it sucks, the thing about the NFTs bc like I said I've literally seen seriously gorgeous intricate pieces out there and that was my first intro to them bc I know ppl who work in VR and psychedelic art. Lame to know they probably aren't getting as much as someone with a 2000s era neondog furry avi.
