Zach and American Girls Headcanon
Y’all forgive me, this is probably going to seem like such a cursed headcanon, but I do not mean it in any bad way! This is actually a headcanon I love for him.
But… here it is, I think Zach’s mother collected American Girl Dolls and their book series, and she passed her love for them on to Zach!
You can read the full headcanon below the cut!
I was an avid American Girl fan as a child. I have 9 dolls total, 7 of which are in the Historical Doll collection, and during the massive cleaning/revamp I’ve been doing in my room I have been planning a display location for my dolls with their books.
And of course the selfshipper in me thought of Zach…
Last summer @creativegenius22 and I were gushing over Zach and she mentioned that his swimsuit had a historical theme to it, which it obviously does, and since both of us enjoy history we naturally headcanoned that Zach himself just had to be a history lover too, lol.
So that, in combination with my American Girl display idea resulted in this….
My headcanon is that his mother became an avid collector of the dolls when they were still owned by the Pleasant Company and continued to grow her collection with each new release. She had a special room in their home where she displayed the dolls with their books. Each time a new doll, book, or doll’s outfit was released she bought them. If she had holiday or seasonal themed clothing for the dolls, she dressed them up whenever Christmas, their birthdays, summer, etc., rolled around.
Tumblr media
(Image and info on the dolls can be found via this link to this great doll blog for anyone interested)
At first Zach was annoyed by his mother’s insistence that he appreciate the dolls and read their books, but Zach reluctantly gave in to his mother. He grew to know every doll’s name and story, and once he’s learned their stories, he realized that their stories were not just “sissy girl stories.” They were actually filled with drama, humor, angst, and awesome historical facts.
Zach’s mother didn’t really allow him to play with the dolls, but he sometimes snuck into the “doll room” and took the dolls from their displays to reenact some of his favorite scenes from the books. As Zach grew older he stopped this, but he never forgot the dolls, and he secretly developed an appreciation for history because of his association with the dolls and their historical journeys.
So much so that he decided to embody his favorite dolls/characters: the turn of the century (1904-1907) best friends and adoptive sisters Samantha and Nellie through pieces in his wardrobe. His swimsuit (loosely) resembles Samatha’s bathing suit and his pajamas (closely) resemble Nellie’s nightwear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And why were these two Zach’s favorites? Because they are my favorites he felt like he related to Samantha. She was upper class and was an orphan, although he was not an orphan he felt distant from his parents making him feel like something of an orphan. Nellie was also an orphan and he loved the idea of them both becoming sisters and finally feeling like they had a family by the end of their story: something he longed for from his busy parents.
As a side Headcanon, I also imagine this being a topic of discussion in my AU. Zach learns that Violet has a few of the dolls herself, including Nellie and Samantha, and he realizes they have yet another thing in common, so he admits his love of the dolls/books to her. And, knowing this, Violet would gift him one of the doll’s book series or a doll at some point.
So there is my Zach American Girl Headcanon! I know it is odd, but it makes me so happy!

Over the weekend, I went to my family’s Cottage in the Northwoods for the first time since I was a kid! 🌲 I had a fantastic time, and also brought Kaya, Samantha, and Nellie (my mother and stepfather were very patient with me packing three dolls, two doll horses, a teepee, and a bunch of photography equipment 📷 into their van along with my suitcase 😂). I’m going to post the pictures of Sam and Nellie separately later on, but I wanted to share my Kaya photos now.
Im pretty proud of the teepee: I made it myself!... or, sort of. I bought the first version of Kaya’s Teepee NIB recently on FB Marketplace. When it arrived, it was very clearly unopened… but the faux animal-hide fabric was cracking horribly from sheer age, and I didn’t feel right returning it because of something the seller clearly didn’t know about after opening it when it was NIB; besides which, shipping cost a lot, and it would barely have been worth it to return after shipping it back, even if the seller did accept a return. So I bought some microsuede and faux leather cord and, using the original fabric as a stencil, I made my own. I did everything myself, from sealing the edges so they don’t fray, to dying the flaps at the top with some Rit fabric dye left over from a different project; then I attached it to the original plastic tent sticks. I also changed a few things while I was at it to make the doorway larger so you can actually see inside. It’s not perfect (I messed up and cut both pieces the same, rather than as mirror images, so part of it is actually wrong-side-out; and I burned one side in the dying process, as well as splashing some dye on it) and I plan to re-do it later, but honestly I’m a bit amazed it came out as well as it did!
Note: I am White. If you are indigenous and find anything in this post offensive, please let me know and I’ll edit it or take it down!

I'm taking a moment to appreciate how healing AG-blr has been for me :) Growing up I was absolutely obsessed with AG, but I didn't really have any friends who were into AG, and my siblings didn't want to play with dolls, so I was kind of left in my own little hyperfixation bubble all alone. I mean my mom liked AG but that wasn't the same as having someone to play with. Yes I hosted multiple AG themed birthday parties and even put on a backyard productions of both the Molly and Felicity plays but no one... Really got it?
I remember the last AG birthday I had, having my brother tell me that my friends were all talking about how they were "too old" for AG when I was out of the room, and I think that was the beginning of the end for me because not too long after that I put my AG dolls in a cedar chest with all their things and closed it up.
I was still kind of interested in AG in highschool. I remember visiting the AG Store when the one in my state opened. And I remember desperately wanting a special doll I could make a wardrobe for and take everywhere with me. I had a little success with a few handmade dolls but nothing that really stuck, and my sewing skills were not up to par with what I wanted to make so I kind of gave up on that too.
Then the end of highschool happened, and I kind of went into survival mode. My mom's health got really bad. I had to start working and taking evening college classes on top of regular highschool and helping out more at home. Which kind of put my mental health in a crisis mode which kind of broke in my first year of college. Which finallygot me the help that I needed. But then I got kicked out for being queer and I was REALLY in survival mode, although I was lucky enough to have first a friend's family and then one of my siblings take me in through the end of college.
I remember getting mildly interested in AG again once I was working my first full time job and living with my first non-family roommates. I was (and still am) really into Big Hero 6 at the time, and when Luciana came out with her little robotics lab I ended up ordering her. Then I bought a secondhand Nellie, one of my grail dolls from childhood I never got to have. So that opened the door.
But then I remember being on Tumblr and finding some AG blogs and being like, "Hey! There's other adults who like AG and create their own characters?" And I really wanted to be a part of that. But I wasn't sure what kind of character I'd want to make. And then I remembered an old BH6 fanbaby I'd made in college and was like, "There's no way AG has a pink hair option." (I didn't really know about doll customizing back then so I didn't know wig swaps were a thing.) And then I checked the CYO generator and guess what was an option? XD
I was not in the best financial state, so it took a few months for me to be able to afford Rose, and then another anxious month of waiting for Rose to get here, in the meantime trying to plan out her wardrobe in the style of the og historical girls. And I made a placeholder blog for once she finally got here.
I finally came home to her delivery sometime in the early am after an event--if you go waaay back to the very beginning of this blog you can find a video of me very emotionally opening Rose's box for the first time XD Love at first sight for sure, I was happy to have my little girl home, and I had no clue how she'd change my life.
From there snowballed my deep dive into doll clothes making--I planned to buy Rose's clothes originally, but I couldn't find a school uniform I liked, and there was a very specific anime winter coat I wanted to make. I'd been making cosplays for a few years but then, so my sewing skills were finally up to the task. And then I just kept getting more cute outfit ideas and so... I just kept making them XD
And then I started posting pictures of the outfits on this blog. And adding new dolls to the family and posting about them too. And I am so honored you guys were so excited about my posts and brought me into the community! I saw your posts and got the inspiration to start taking Rose out places to get pictures, and she quickly became my emotional support doll, going everywhere with me and helping me through some of my worst mental health times. And I've been fortunate enough to actually get to meet some of you in person, and talk with so many of you online! And I even managed to rope my best friend into AG with your support XD It's really been such an amazing community, and I finally have friends who get my love of AG, and I finally have that special doll I take everywhere with me :)
So--thank you, AG-blr ^^ You're all amazing, and I look forward to many more adventures with you :)

My top 10 girlies. If I had to get rid of all but these (and I might), these are the ones I couldn't bear to part with.
Shamsa Kabil Nasr Mansour (back left), aka This Poor Girl, broke my heart a little when I first saw the treatment she had received from previous owners. I just want to hug her and tell her everything will be all right, even though she may have to go to the hospital in the future. Her eyes are still messed up and will never sit right, so she wears glasses. She was so damaged, I decided her backstory would include surviving a military attack on her home. She currently lives with her aunt, uncle, and big sister in the US, where she is learning to read and speak English.
Ivy Ling (front left) is practically perfect, and fits in nearly every modern decade. I love her unique eyes.
I wanted a Ruthie (Ruth Ann Smithens, back row) doll for some time, but not AG's Ruthie, because she didn't look like the books. Everything magically fell together (seriously, I wasn't even looking for a face and ran across the head on eBay, and they eyes and wig were the first things to fall out when I opened their respective containers) and Ruthie was born. I think she looks a bit like Liesel Matthews from the 1990s version of A Little Princess, too.
LaRae Bliss Turner (front) was an accidental find. I had been lowkey looking for an Addy mold doll for about a year, and knew I wanted different eyebrows. I kept coming back to the listing, even saving a screenshot and finally decided that she was the right doll for me. I'm still working on her backstory.
Blaire Wilson (middle back): I thought I didn't like Blaire. Blaire was blah. She had hobbies I wasn't interested in, I don't like her name, and the previous dolls I had seen had those weird downcast eyes. Then I was looking for a secondhand version of Rebecca's Hanukkah outfit and found a listing of this girl dressed in the full outfit. The price wasn't bad, and I thought I could always donate the doll if I didn't like her. Well, she's grown on me and now I can't make myself give her up.
Annika Jessalyn Nazarbayev (middle front): Annika was one of my very first dolls, and is the doll I've had the longest. Since she was originally Jess, I tied her story into that. She's Jess's niece (her mom, Heather, is Jess's older sister), and her middle name is a nod to Annika's past and her character relationship to her aunt.
Nellie Brigid O'Malley (back): I gave my Nellie a middle name to distinguish her from AG's version. She's another book-based character doll, and might just be my favorite. Don't tell the others.
Tabitha Danielle Crow (front): I never intended on keeping Tabby. I bought her as a damaged Rebecca to fix up and donate, but now I don't want to let her go. Her last name actually belongs to a friend of mine; the two of them look like they're related.
Dubheasa Ni Mhaoileidigh, aka Dovie, (back right): Dovie is also an ex-Rebecca and since, logically, I do not need 2 Rebecca-based dolls (nor 4 Josefina molds, nor 2 Josefina mold redheads with green eyes), I shouldn't keep her. Emotion trumps logic though, and I keep bringing her out. She has a sweet, timeless look that I wish AG played more into.
Last, but not least, Apolline Renee Kincaid: I bought her as a semi-dupe for Cecile who was retired well before I started collecting. I also have a penchant for creating my own characters and wanted a 1920s girl (I came up with the character about a year before the first mentions of Claudie), so she lives near New Orleans during the end of the Harlem Renaissance movement there. I love that she has the older Sonali face mold. Apparently I prefer the older dolls, as I didn't choose to keep any of the ones I had bought that were recently released.
Face mold totals: 4 Josefina, 2 Sonali, 2 Jess, 1 Marie-Grace, 1 Addy
Who would you have in your collection of 10 or fewer dolls?

After over 15 years, I finally got a Nellie doll!
Samantha was my first doll as a child growing up in the mid-late 2000s, and I loved her story, the movie, and her close friendship with Nellie. I often used to pour into the catalogs back then and especially wanted a Nellie doll so she could be with her bestie. Now as an adult AG collecting, they are reunited. And she meets Kit and Molly too!

I wanted to share with you my little American Girl doll collection! (Nellie is hiding behind Felicity, btw.) I first got Kristen, Molly, and Nellie when I was a kid, and wanted Samantha badly- but then they stopped making her. When I grew up and got my first paycheck, the very first thing I bought was my Samantha, an original Pleasant Company from ebay! Since then, my mother has gifted me all the rest of them through the years, most of them secondhand from girls who didn't want to play with them anymore. I may be a grown ass adult with a mortgage, but I still love playing with dolls (I occasionally use them to act out scenes from the musical I've written, to work out pacing and other issues lol). Anyways, I love the little dive ins you're doing for the dolls and their special outfits, and I can't wait to see more! <3
Nice! with doing all this I'm seriously thinking about asking my now-teenage little cousins if I can have my AG stuff back, even though I don't have the space and I have no idea what I'd do with them!

okay this is actually a two-parter!
do you have any headcanons for any ag characters that you haven’t seen more broadly in the fandom?
swiss flag in bio also?? 👀 (i did some studies there!) how did you get into ag as someone not from the us? (i’m guessing maybe ex-pat??? but i’m so curious and would love to hear!)
Hi! Thanks so much for sending an ask, this was such a fun idea :)
For the first question.... I like to imagine that Felicity became a staunch abolitionist, because of the uh... Everything about her stories. The themes of wanting independence for herself, for Penny, and for her country are there, and then they just don't go any further with it. Missed opportunity!!
A lighter headcanon is that Samantha opens up an orphanage with Nellie when they're older, although I think that is a more common hc.
And my backstory is a little complicated ahah, but long story short my dad grew up in Switzerland, and then he and my mom met in the US at college, and they moved to Switzerland after getting married, so I was born and raised there. I grew up speaking English at home and German everywhere else, but I do consider myself more Swiss than American.
I got into AG from some family friends around my age, when I was about nine or ten. They had the first Samantha and Felicity books that they gave me and my sister (possibly they'd bought the dolls and those were the books that came with them? I'm not sure) and I loved them! I asked my dad to get me the full Samantha set, but I didn't want to ask for the Felicity books too, because that felt like too much. And by the time I *really* wanted them a few years later, I felt like I was too old to ask.
But he did get us all the movies (Sam, Felicity, Molly, Kit, and also GOTY Chrissa) and I adore them. A few years ago I found the fandom on Tumblr and I was so happy to see other people loving them too. Because I grew up in Switzerland, I'd never seen any of the stores or magazines or anything, so I had no idea how big they are, or that the main draw were the dolls. The books defined AG for me, so even now I'm not really interested in having any of the dolls, just the books (though they are super cute).
Thanks for indulging my rambling, I've never had a chance to talk about this before!

1 for Nellie!
Thank you for asking!
I inherited my neighbor’s AG books which is where I was first introduced to the books (I didn’t know that there were dolls right away), some issues of the magazine, and the first six characters.
I really liked Nellie in Sam’s books. I think that maybe the earliest point of connection was that she was Irish and I have Irish in my family tree (less prominent than other nationalities but neither of the others were represented by any of the characters).
I’m not sure I can exactly say why I liked Nellie back when I was little - I didn’t have the language or the context to say but I can talk about why I love her now!
I love her cross-class friendship with Sam.
I think the representation of a working girl is really important and interesting; Nellie is different from the other characters we have as a result and I think that’s really valuable.
I don’t really care that her adoption by Gard and Cornelia isn’t exactly the most realistic; I think it’s also great to see a representation of a positive adoption situation outside of contemporary times.
I like that Nellie doesn’t feel she fits in in her new life and that she finds a connection with Cornelia through their shared desire to help others and that she maintains a continuity to her old life.
I know they changed the way that Nellie looked to better resemble the actress who played her in the Samantha movie but I was little enough when I got my Nellie that I wasn’t thinking about that. I also think Kelsey Lewis was an adorable Nellie!
I’ve read Samantha’s central series, Nellie’s Promise, and a decent number of the Samantha short stories. I am looking forward to reading Sam’s mysteries to get more of the girls!

Don't ask me how, even with adjustments, there's still a bit of "WHERE ARE WE LOOKING" going on with these girls.
Anyway, Merry Christmas from me and all 12 girls, most of whom were Christmas presents.
Context:
Addy, Kaya, and Kirsten: received for Christmas 2009 (didn't see Kirsten until the following July though due to backordering
Felicity: received for Christmas 2010 (hoping to track down Elizabeth sometime next year)
Ivy: I probably got her in the summer of 2014. Not sure how I talked my parents into that one. I'll get Julie eventually
Isabelle: received for Christmas 2014
Caroline: Bought from AG Seattle in the summer of 2015 (I remember my grandmother being interested in Maryellen as a fellow '50s strawberry blonde)
Grace: received for Christmas 2015
Samantha and Molly: First dolls I purchased with my own money in August 2021. Hoping to get Emily someday as well
Kit: Got her just this past August. Hoping to someday reunite her with Ruthie
Nellie: Got her yesterday. Best $250 I've ever spent

i got some of the girls of many lands!
everyone was a bit rumpled (the first lineup picture is before I fixed them up a bit) and everyone is missing most of their smaller accessories (if you look closely you can even see that minuk is only wearing one of her shoes and the other is a sock). poor chou spring pearl only came with her pants and one of her shoes, but thankfully she also arrived in isabel’s dress, so she is borrowing it. the only loose pieces I have left over after fixing the girls up are said pants and shoe.
also, all of the stands have aged quite poorly, likely due to sun damage - the plastic parts that hold them in are pretty brittle now, and nearly everyone’s base has yellowed severely.
despite these problems (which just come from getting them secondhand), these dolls are INCREDIBLE. i haven’t read their stories, so i don’t know how those hold up, but from an aesthetic and material quality standpoint the dolls are blowing me out of the water.
Tumblr media
the details on the clothes and faces are stunning, and the fabric they used for the outfits feels really high quality. the accessories are also incredible - all of the metallic jewelry pieces feel cold to the touch, meaning they are at least metal plated, if not fully made of metal. everything about these dolls’ design and execution just blows me away.
if i preferred to collect dolls just to display them, i would absolutely be hunting down the remaining dolls and accessories. however, that’s not really how i collect.
my 18 inch dolls are the focal point of my collection, and i actually purchased these in order to be dolls for my dolls, and add to the ambiance of my dollhouse. however, when they arrived, i realized i had been a bit foolish. i expected these to be only a bit larger than normal AG mini dolls, but they are actually significantly larger.
Tumblr media
mini nellie here is about 6 1/2 inches tall, while cécile is about 9 1/4 inches tall.
the problem here lies of course with my own assumption, rather than the actual dolls. i think that 9ish inches is actually a wonderful height for these dolls - there are many dolls that represent adults (like barbie) that are about 12 inches tall. as a result, these dolls, meant to represent tweens, could potentially fit really well into a doll collection at that scale, while still looking their age and not being mistaken for adults. i think that’s really neat!
however……. that is not the collection i have. for me, they’re a bit too big to be dolls for my dolls (though that is absolutely up to personal taste). i don’t really collect dolls to display in the somewhat more common manner of dolls displayed on stands - my dolls are all displayed in my dollhouse, engaged in various scenes. the only exception to this is the one draculaura doll i own, who lounges around on my bookshelf instead. i think other people’s doll collections displayed on stands are absolutely beautiful, but that’s just not really how I most enjoy my own dolls. even miss draculaura is posed sitting on the edge of a shelf, instead of posed in a stand (and she’ll be getting a friend to hang out with and add to the scene later tonight!). as a result, i am a bit tentative about adding these girls displayed more statically on their stands to my doll room.
for now, i will hang onto these new friends, as they’re just really beautiful and i am simply enjoying staring at them lol. in the future, however, if i find myself spending less time with them, i will sell them to a collector who will continue to give them love.

Real winter has finally arrived here in Wisconsin, and it hit us with a vengeance. I was out briefly the night of the first big snowstorm 🌨️, and was absolutely delighted to discover it was the best packing snow I'd ever experienced (I made a snowman as big as a full-sized AG in minutes, no joke)... but then the cold hit before I could take the dolls out to play. It was well below zero for a few days (we're talking -20°), but today we got the combination of a couple of hours of sunlight and 13° weather (practically balmy!), so Samantha and Nellie got to test out their new winter gear*, with Jip tagging along.
*Sam didn't wear her new hat because of how cold it was, I wanted her ears to stay warm 😅
Tumblr media
Sadly, the snow is no longer good for packing, very loose and powdery (which is a shame because I brought along an extra hat, scarf, and mittens for making a snowman, and even brought some candy to make a face) 😕. But we still managed to have some fun (Nellie made a snow angel)! ❄️
Tumblr media
When we got back home, we peeled off our damp clothes (I had big chunks of snow sticking to my pant legs because I don't have snow boots and the drifts were nearly up to my knees, and my shoes are still drying out), and the girls warmed up under Josefina's sheepskin with some hot cider. ☕

I’m curious how many mini American girl dolls you have. I still have all the ones I was gifted as a child. My favorites were Kaya, Samantha and her friend Nellie, Felicity, and Kit. My only big dolls from American girl were Molly and a bitty baby. I loved looking at the catalogs I’d get in the mail. (For more context in which ones I grew up with I’m 24). Also, thanks for sharing all your dolls with us. I love the photos you take :)
Awww thanks! I have 10 mini AG dolls and one Lori doll (Battat brand). I love them! Here are my modern girls with them, at their meeting of the American Girls Fan Club.
Tumblr media
Three of my minis are Josefina, in three different outfits. Four of them are from my childhood, three were given to me by my grandma when she was downsizing her collection, and one I bought at my first visit to an American Girl Place store.

name: jia kim gender: cis female birthday: march 24, 1999 age: 23 sexuality: bisexual occupation: actress, model, social media influencer birthplace: new york city, new york current residence: los angeles, california family: joohyeon kim ( father ) , hayeon sohn-kim ( mother ) , two older siblings ( wanted connections, tba ! ) pets: black pomeranian beverly
𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 ::
originally from nyc !! her parents moved to la not long after she was born though, so she always claims herself as an la kid.
her mom was a famous skincare model in korea, who eventually moved to the states after falling in love with her pr agent who had dreams to travel abroad. eventually the two settled aind had three kids, of which jia is the youngest ( wanted connection ! )
when jia came along she was kind of just ... a born star ? while her older siblings definitely came into their own eventually, jia was one of the only ones willing to give up her childhood for the spotlight.
her mother, who always family cared so much about making a name for the kims in the states, was thrilled. she was always putting jia in acting lessons and putting her in any auditions she could find.
this, plus her dad's connections within the industry, eventually landed her her big break. at the age of six, she earned the main host spot as character lily choi on a children's show "circle time", with the show lasting a total of 5 years. before she knew it, her face was all over tvs, lunchboxes, notebooks, and backpacks.
with such a major role, she practically became the family doll ? the pride of the family, whose success put her in her family's unconditional good graces. and because she was in such a high position so early on, there begins the spoiled and hot-tempered nature that would put jia in a chokehold the rest of her life.
so she continues on several shows following her first success, mainly in children's tv. she's sort of known for her "girl next door" brand by the time she hits her teenage years, the majority of her best roles being holiday classics, heartwarming tv shows, or commercials with iconic jingles.
and things are good !! until ... they aren't. by the time jia hits high school, she finds it harder and harder to get roles. she's getting too old to play the roles she was known for, and yet no one wants to risk casting her for anything more intense.
so ... slowly, her relevance dwindles, along with her parent's affection. the love she'd always seen as unconditional slowly goes away as they turn their attention to her older sibling's success. for the first time in her life .... jia feels ignored.
so she brings the attention back on her the only way she knows how - chaos. an argument between her and her father breaks out at her high school graduation party, where he calls her "washed up". it sets her off, and before she can help herself, she throws the family's glass sculpture off the balcony, which led to glass being thrown and giving her father a permanent scar under his eye.
the whole thing was kept very secret after some under-the-table donations and pr work on her father's part, but there's still whispers around about jia's temper following the event. she'd always had one, but a temper with no talent ? her parents didn't see the use.
so, harsh as some may see it, they forced jia out the house and on her own, something she was clueless about. so now, she lives in her own house - and while paid for it, her parents have practically ex-communicated her outside of public appearances. but in the media's eye they maintain the ambitious, sometimes cold, yet always tight-nit family image they've kept for years.
her family still provides for her, but nowhere near the lifestyle she's used to. and so in recent years, she's begun to revive her name, playing into her passive, cheery image so different from her reality. it's mostly worked, as she's combined acting, modeling, and social media to become somewhat of a "gen z it girl".
and really, it's not about the money, or attention - as good as those may be for her. she's just waiting on the day she can rise to her former fame to bring her family down the way she feels they did her, no matter what it takes.
𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀 ::
all this time on her own has did jia some good though. she definitely values hard work more now , even if her spoiled tendencies can still spill out from time to time. and even though she spent a good portion of her childhood separated from a normal social life, she's trying her best to make up for lost time by making connections now. she really values the few real friendships she has now, especially now that she doesn't have much of a family to run back to at the moment.
right now, she's primarily looking for an acting gig that'll really mark her new era as a more serious actor. but in the meantime, she's making sure her name doesn't become forgotten again, spending a lot of her free time modeling and upkeeking her lifestyle instagram & youtube channel, " sincerely, jia ".
definition of "i think I'm hot shit because i am hot shit" lmao !! if she has nothing else she will have confidence always. while she can come across as vein she also feels she has the talent to back up what she says, and in a way her confidence is a defense weapon bc it's one of the few things no one can take from her ??
if i'm being real .... sometimes she just needs to be put in her place. jia is so occupied thinking about self that sometimes she's not intentionally being selfish, but she can definitely come across as privileged or self-centered without realizing it. sometimes calling her out can honestly go a long way
can seriously respect hard work & drive, no matter who it is. one thing about jia - she's gonna eat off that silver spoon w no remorse. buuuut for those who didn't grow up w such a privilege, she really doesn't shame them, which might come off as surprising given her general vibe ?? but the thing she respects more than even money or fame is drive. if you've worked hard to get where you are, you've earned her respect, especially now that she's getting a taste of what it's like.
this probably goes without saying but - LOVES LUXURY. so much so that now that her family's taken some of that from her, she's working across three different entertainment sectors to maintain her lifestyle rip
surprisingly clingy ?? she's got that cold, i-don't-care attitude if she doesn't know you well but once you're close she's literally all over you. jia loves hard, and loves mutual affection so if it's a friendship or relationship she'll put her absolute all in it.
a bit of a habitual liar. she doesn't even realize it, but w her dad in pr she's grown up normalizing, or even encouraging, lying to save face. so if she thinks hiding the truth is gonna prevent her from looking bad ? hell yeah she'll do it.
( but hint : if they get closer to jia with time, close friends will realize she always tugs her lip and looks to the right before a lie. don't tell her i told u ! )

I opened Paradise Doll Eye Hospital today, and my first patient was my Nellie. I wanted her to look more like the book, and had purchased some blue eyes from Doll of a Kind but never used them. I’m still not sure about them; they’re awfully light, though I will say they give her a one of a kind appearance.
What do you think? I pictured her next to Katie, who has the standard AG blue eyes for comparison.
