He’s stupid and mean, but unfortunately the butterflies in your stomach only care that he’s hot.

“We should wait for the others to get back,” You throw out at him, checking your nails to avoid looking up at him. 

“We are losing time if we don’t go now.”

“It’s safer to move as a group.”

He shoots his glare back down at you, his mouth pressed into a line to give you the time to reconsider your tone. You, of course, don’t. 

“Why do you choose to do nothing but undermine me?” He asks, taking a step closer in an attempt to coerce compliance out of you. “I am your superior; you listen to me.”

“I do other things too. Like sit here and wait for you to need my help. It’s not my fault you always have it under control.” You lean back on your hands to give yourself space from his oppressive aura. “And superior is really bold when I’m literally older than you-”

“-And I’m literally in charge right now! I’m the highest rank shinobi-” His resolve breaks for a moment, and he snaps for just a few words before he sucks in a breath and irons himself out again. You smirk, knowing that you’ve gotten under his skin, even if it’s only a little bit. He shakes the tight anger down his body. “-on this mission,” He finishes his thought with a much tighter and controlled voice, “So, it is your obligation to follow commands from your superior.”

“I’m not getting up until the others get back.” You put you own foot down.

“Then I will leave you here.”

“Ah, yes brilliant idea, captain. That way you can go off without any backup, I can be left here helpless and alone, and the other two have no idea how to find either of us. Really impeccable leading here.” You roll your eyes, and there’s a moment where you feel a little bit of guilt deep in your stomach, but the Hokage has paired you with Neji on missions more times than you can count now to help you “see what each other brings to the table”, and every time he’s all mighty on his high horse, drunk on power, bossing you around even though you graduated years before him. If he would just watch his tone when he gave you orders, sounding a little less like he thinks he’s better and smarter than you, then you’d listen to him. If he maybe considered your ideas with little more than an eye roll, then you’d listen to him. If he would just treat you like an equal shinobi and not one of the kids in training, then you’d listen to him.

But he doesn’t, so you don’t.

“You petulant child-”

“-Child, are you joking-” You scoff, flabbergasted.

“-Yes, child because all you do is act like a child. I have half a right mind to report you to the Hokage and have you stripped of your title, but I am not fully convinced that that’s not what you want considering the way you treat me. You have never once been helpful on a mission, only a burden. Pull your weight and listen for once,” He snaps at you, reprimanding you like a disappointed and overwhelmed father, and you narrow your eyes as his words fall from his lips and hit you like little stings all over your body. He lets it hang in the air, and you can tell by the smug look on his face that he thinks his won. You fucking hate it when he thinks he’s won.

You and Neji didn't get along. He made fun of you and insulted you at every chance he could get. You responded with your insults, never backing down, and sometimes leaving him in a stunned silence. The two of you had left in different directions, but by coincidence, you two wound up at the same bar. You both had enough of each other and needed a drink to calm each other down. Neither one of you saw the other. Until you heard a distinct voice talking about some person - that person being Neji, the person he was talking about was you.

"They're so annoying, their whining voice and their stupidity," Neji says to the guy next to him as he forcefully sets his glass down.

You turned your attention to see and listen to the conversation, Neji not realizing you were here or knew what he was saying. You couldn't help but smile. Despite your attitude towards him and his attitude towards you, you liked him. However, you weren't sure if he felt the same as you did. 

For several hours, he continued drinking and rambling. You drinking as well. You two had just a little too much to drink but were conscious enough to know exactly what was going on and what wasn't.

"You know, for someone who doesn't like me, you sure do talk about me a lot~," you said as you tried to step out of the bar carefully, following after Neji.

"I don't like you!" He says as he looks over at you. "Your underwear is quite lovely for once." He attempted to embarrass you.

"I knew it! Why don't we go back to my place~,"

"Your disgusting place? Absolutely not. My place is far better and nicer."

You smiled as you stepped closer and placed a hand on his arm. "Let's go then."

He took his hand in your own, leading you back to his place. It was a painfully slow walk and an even longer journey to his room. The both of you stepped into his room. 

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, if you think you can handle this~,"

"Of course I can."

"Prove it." You say, taking a step closer to him.

He stepped closer to you and pressed you against the wall. His hand was on the wall, the other on your side as he trapped you. His lips met your and his hand slowly slid under your shirt. Your lips were on his, your hand grasping at the hem of his shirt. He broke away to remove his shirt, while you removed yours. The rest of his clothes and yours were soon gone as well.

He picked you up and placed you on the bed. He soon began to finger/stroke you, making sure you both were wet before he slid himself into you. He paused for a moment, letting you become comfortable before he thrust into you, his hips rocking back and forth. His hands were on your hips as you rocked your hips into him. Letting out a moan as he hit harder into you. Your noises combined and filled the air as his pace quickened.

Funny how all these characters were of Sakura's age did something as equally bad as her or worse yet only Sakura gets shit for it. Hypocrisy?

They were kids, who were naive and didn't have the maturity to act the wisest (in Sakura, Naruto, Ino and Shikamaru's case) or traumatised with no one to properly help them (in Sasuke's and Neji's case) and all of them eventually grew up and became better.

It's ridiculous to still hold Sakura for saying something insensitive in her childhood.

Laying down on the grass you stared up at the sky trying to focus on training but your mind kept going back to that night. Your fingers ghosted above your lips, face blushing each time a memory of the way he kissed you flashed through your mind.

“Y/n?” You flinched and sat up seeing the fifth hokage walking closer and smiling once she recognized who you were. “Fifth Hokage. It’s great to see you.” You spoke in a respectful tone quickly standing up and greeting her, she walked closer and to your surprise her arms engulfed you in a hug.

“What’s going on?” You asked patting her back awkwardly. “I just read your file. Prior to living here you’ve been through a lot…you’ve lost so many people. Is it true that you were on a mission when the fourth hokage died? And that you almost died on a recent mission?” You pulled away hearing her questions.

“I’d rather not talk about it Lady Tsunade.” She let out an exhaustive sigh then placed a hand on your cheek, “if you ever feel like talking then come to me, but for now I’m with holding you from missions.” “What?!” You stepped closer to try and protest but she held her hand up to stop you. “You have no one left. You’re being too lax with your life and I won’t have you killing yourself because you have no one to come back too. Use this time to heal and train. That’s all.” With that she walked away and the tears you were holding started to fall.

Out of pure frustration you punched a nearby tree as hard as you could with a chakra filled fist. You ended up taking out more than one tree but you didn’t care, the blood dripping from your hand didn’t force you to care either. Deciding to call it a night you were walking through the village towards your home with the tears kept blurring your eyes and you ended up bumping into someone.

“I’m sorry.” You said in a whisper gently patting their chest before walking away, it took another few minutes for you to get home but when you did it was like all hell broke loose. Continuous tears fell down your face as the impending feeling of loneliness crept onto you. She was right, you truly had no one…you were alone and you couldn’t do anything about it.

The only family you had died while you were laying around on a mission because you didn’t feel like coming home. And all your life you pushed away affection afraid to feel something more that what you’re used too. Pain. For the rest of the night you cried over things you had no control over.

“Has anybody seen Y/n?” Sakura asked walking up to the group, Naruto, Choji, Lee and Ten looked at each other and shook their heads no. “She’s probably sulking at home.” Shikamaru said taking a bite of whatever he was eating leaving the group confused. “What do you mean sulking?” Ten asked.

“Lady Tsunade told her she’s not allowed to go on any missions for a while.” “WHY??” Sakura sat up, “she’s being doing missions since she was ten…why would she stop her?” Choji contemplated. “Exactly. Do you guys know how injured she got during her last mission?” Shikamaru paused looking at the group who shook their head no.

“She almost died, she was in a coma for three months.” He finished his statement then stuffing some more food in his mouth, “No way, she said she liked the scenery that’s why she stayed.” “Lied.” He quickly responded.

“If that is true how come you’re the only one who knows that?” Naruto asked rubbing his chin in confusion, “Because, Tsunade made me go check on her whenever she stopped checking in. I’m the one who reported back to her.” The whole group went silent, after a few moments Neji who was sitting there silent stood up and left the area.

His feet took him straight to your entrance doorsteps. He thought it was weird how you ran into him a couple of days ago and didn’t even recognize that it was him, yes you had tears in your eyes but it was just different for him. It was weird, he was worried about you. More than worried, he was scared that you’d do something to yourself.

He knocked on the door and waited for a moment then knocked again and still no answer. Using his byakugan he found you in a room knees pressed against your chest and your face hidden. He knocked again and when he saw you didn’t even flinch he forcefully opened the door. You still didn’t move, he closed the door behind himself and quickly walked to where you were.

He stood by the doorframe watching you sit there crying. You didn’t even look up to see who the intruder was, you just sat there crying. Neji bent down and pushed his arms under your body to pick you up, he held you flush against his body and brought you to your bedroom.

Laying you down on the bed he was about to feel your forehead to see if you had a fever but you turned your back to him and silently cried. “Y/n-” “just leave Neji.” You harshly spoke voice cracking when you said his name, he stood there contemplating what to do. He’s never seen you this vulnerable, even when you came back from your mission to find the only person you ever really loved was dead. You never broke down, even after years.

“I never listened to you when we were kids so why would I do it now?” He could see you roll yours eyes but that didn’t stop him from pushing you aside and laying in the bed next to you. He pulled your blanket over your body then maneuvered both of your bodies to where you were cuddling up against him. “What are you doing.” You said trying stop your voice from cracking again but failed miserably, uncontrollable tears fell from your eyes once again. You hid your face in his neck and just basked in his embrace.

This was the first time someone ever held you, it was an unfamiliar feeling and your body just broke down. Neji was happy, he was happy that the dam you build was finally collapsing and that he was the one that was here for you. When your sniffles went quiet he glanced down noticing you fell asleep, you looked exhausted. Like you hadn’t slept in days, trying to keep quiet he laid you against your pillow and left you alone in your bedroom.

When you woke up hours later you were met with an empty bed, your face dropped tears prickling in your eyes again but stopped when you heard his voice. “Don’t cry again, I’m right here.” Neji walked into the room with a tray filled with your favorite foods and a couple of freshly picked flowers.

He set the tray down on your lap and then sat down in the chair that was positioned right next to your bed. “Thank you.” You said noticing how dark it was outside, “you’ve been asleep all day, I came in to wake you up.” You thanked him again and started taking a bite out of the food. Your cheeks started to heat up from how good it was, it had been so long since you had home cooked meals that your eyes glasses over.

“Don’t cry. If you want me to cook for you again just ask.”

That statement repeated in your head as you stood there in the rain infront of the tombstone with the small child pressed against your chest. “Neji…” the tears falling down your cheek were being masked by the rain, thankfully so that your daughter wouldn’t see her mother crying.

Your husband alway told you to be strong and to not cry. You weren’t alone anymore, he promised to stay by your side but he lied. If he was supposed to stay by your side then why were you and your two year old daughter standing infront of his grave right now wishing we could be have his home made curry…

What are you ok with writing? Is there a rules list somewhere here?

I will make one today after I get off :). I’m currently stationed in Germany so US EST time, if you’re there, is 6 hours behind me. But for now, I’m okay with writing general fluff and smut. Nothing too yandre or anything incest. I’m not too into that stuff. No underage stuff, all character that have smut written for them are aged up. But if you want teenage Naruto, for example, it’s only fluff or sfw themes. I can write angst as well. I haven’t written gender neutral things at all but I can attempt. No hate for the people that do, I’m just not used to it. I’m also not opposed to writing for female characters, but I’ve never done it. Easy character write for me are ❤️ harder ones would be 🖤.

Chapter 1 - Kissing

Low lights shaded the dips and dimensions of their faces and the shadows fluttered in reverence of the moon, peeking through the curtains like a voyeuring white lantern. Breaths floated in the air, their loving whispers adorned by helpless little grins. Peck, peck, peck, heated quick kisses he delivered along her jaw, his lips at her neck, diving for the grooves of her collarbone to which she sighed and giggled.

Her hand surfed through his waterfall of silky dark hair, the other caressing his smooth toned arm, but then she tired of his attention focused away from the one place she really wanted him and touched the underneath of his chin. Fingers lured her lover to look at her face, instead of the rest of her body that followed his descent down towards her bra. Their eyes met.

Even in the dark, Neji could see so much love in those eyes. Pure, genuine love, the once-in-a-lifetime kind of love, the kind that proved the deep connection of every ounce of their beings, of their souls. He recognized this feeling without a shred of doubt, because he had never told nor been told by anyone that they loved him (except for one, a person long in the past) and this feeling was definitely unique. In his chest, his heart radiated a full, attractive warmth, just seeing those doe brown eyes return his gaze and pause, gods , he was so ineffably enamored with this woman. His body yearned for hers before he knew what he was doing.

There wasn't an electric shock or a show of fireworks erupting when they kissed, as this was not the first time—not by a long shot. But it was the first time in such a setting, the first time that kissing her tempted him to slide the strap of her tank top down her shoulders. He wanted to see more of her than he'd ever seen before.

Tenten was the one to deepen it. She let her back fall to the bed and clung to the soft fabric of his shirt, causing his body to fall with her. Supporting himself on his arms, Neji hovered over her, eyelids low, breathing softly, holding back a groan when she slid her hand under his loose white shirt and stroked his hard stomach. Her touch was warm and gentle, drawing a slow, deliberate path up to his neck, and she beckoned him closer below. Then, their lips graced each other again.

“Mmph,” she sighed into him, pleasure thick in her moan. Her lips melded with his, an exchange of push and pull with angled moving jaws growing more needy for furthered contact. He liked hearing her moan, it sparked something rare and unfamiliar in his body that he didn’t know could feel so tempting. And… unsatisfying. It wasn’t enough, and he wasn’t sure what more he desired from her or of himself, but he wanted to go farther. Feeling bold, Neji traced his slick tongue across her bottom lip, dyed reddish from kissing, and she shivered deliciously at the foreign new sensation. Blissful hot tidings spread from her delirious head to her curling toes; she opened herself up to him, widely embracing the feverish insistence of his lips onto hers again.

Even he couldn't withhold the heavy groan that escaped him when her tongue snuck past his lips and curled inside, lazily gliding across his own. He trembled. A dangerous desperation festered and swelled within his core, burning away every shred of coherency. Persistently, he motioned his tongue back against hers, creating a simmering hot faint pressure as their tongues lightly pushed and slid so salaciously, feverishly, and he was allowed only two short pants to breathe as he withdrew for air before she tugged on his hair and pulled him back to yearning lips.

Neji hadn’t ever seen Tenten like this. She was all over him, hands roaming his body everywhere she could reach, her eager tongue eliciting more labored groans from his chest. He was still not used to such intimacy, being touched by someone like this. His hips squirmed in the hold of her straddling legs around his lower half. There was that unmentionable discomfort he never cared to acknowledge straining against his boxers and for a very real moment, he felt nervous. She kissed his neck, his collarbone, and licked slow whorls on his chest. The temperature in the room must have risen fifty degrees because his body suddenly felt hot—especially that abhorrent place— and his breath left him in short hot puffs of air. Neji let his eyes fall shut and relished in her sinful adulations, concentrating on controlling that blood-engorged nuisance until soft fingers traveled below his waist.

Her hand was sliding down his pelvis.

His eyes shot open and recoiled from her touch. “What are you doing?”

“Huh...?” Her dazed expression could only be described as lustful and wanting, a sordid line of saliva running down the corner of her lip. “I… Oh, s—sorry!”

Neji didn’t miss the way her entire face blazed red. With lightning speed she removed her searching hand from his groin, profusely sputtering another apology. He closed his eyes again and wordlessly removed himself from her to sit on the edge of the bed. By the sinking of the mattress he could tell that she was sitting up as well, but neither said anything.

Why had he stopped her?

Over a minute must have passed and she reached out for his shoulder. “Neji, I—”

“I should go.” He announced, rising from the bed. “Hiashi-sama will be suspicious if I return to the compound late.”

“Oh…” The disappointment in her voice was tangible. It almost made him want to stay.  “Well… alright. See you tomorrow, Neji.”

She was watching him as he dressed himself, which sounded curiously sordid in his head. It was a conscious decision to not look at her directly, or else those eyes of hers might lure him back to the warmth of her mouth and the feel of her tongue, and he needed to leave as soon as possible, because…

Tenten stuttered just before he reached the door, “If—did I—If I went too far, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you feel…”

“It’s fine.”

He left her apartment in then and returned (though it felt more like a retreat) to his home, and all he could do was wonder what was wrong with him.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, seafoam green eyes slowly opened. Sakura and the others watched in amazement as he slowly sat up, looking around with confusion and wonder. The wind had died down, and the air was still and calm, as if nature knew that something momentous had just occurred.

Naruto rushed to Gaara's side, and Temari was hugging her brother, tears streaming down their faces. Sakura felt a lump form in her throat as she watched the scene unfold.

Neji, with his hair in a high ponytail and a matching athletic outfit, in a shade of blue. Sasuke and he are sitting under a tree, after a three mile run. Sasuke is drinking his water, when Neji opens his mouth.

"Tell me what a knot feels like." Neji says like a man who is straddling the line of horny and frustrated.

Sasuke coughs, water pouring from his mouth. His bottle drops from his hand in shock, clanking on the ground with a thump. "Really?" He looks at his friend with exasperation.

"Really." He's leaning on his arms behind him. "He won't give it to me."

"Any sane person dating a Beta or in an Alpha/Alpha relationship wouldn't."

"Sasuke, I don't want sane. I want to be given what I asked for. I always get what I want."

Sasuke rolls his eyes. Taking the edge of his shirt, he cleans the mouth of his bottle. "Maybe you should marry him, maybe that'll give you what you want."

Neji leans up, taking hold of his ankles. "You've been married for a month. Don't be that person."

Sasuke smiles before taking a gulp of water. "Wait until my name officially changes. I'll be insufferable." He puts his bottle down. His facial expression turned serious. "Would you want to marry him?"

"It's only been like five months, Sasuke."

"Uzumaki. Sasuke Uzumaki. Please get used to how it tastes on your tongue." He smirks.

Using his own bottle, Neji flicks water at his friend, who only laughs. Making him smile as well. "You're already insufferable." He puts his bottle back between his legs.

"I know, but seriously. Have you thought of it?"

Neji twists his mouth. "Not really. The knot has been more important. God." He takes his hair tie out. "I can just imagine taking his load. You know— fuck, he cums so much. When it lands on my body, it's so hot, and if it was inside of me, Sasuke—if…." He racks his hand through his hair.

Sasuke looks upon him with shock. "Damn. You have it bad. Well at least for his cock." He pats Neji's back. "I'll take pity on you and explain it." A soft smile grazing his lips.

"Really?" Neji says. He knows his current actions are not befitting of a Hyuuga, but Shikamaru has corrupted his mind more than he realized.

"Really."

"Okay."

Neji is sitting across from Shikamaru at a ramen shop. The Alpha is still in his work clothes, and he's scrolling through his phone, Neji assumes he's looking at emails. The noodles are half in his mouth, Neji finds it cute, but keeps his thoughts to himself.

He rests his chin on the palm of his hand, as his elbow sits on the table. The chopsticks are on his other hand, he lazily feeds himself.

"What's on your mind?" Shikamaru asked. His focus is still on his phone.

"Do you want the truth or the lie?" Neji rebuttals.

Shikamaru places his phone face down on the table. He looks up at his lover. "Truth."

Neji bites his lip, seductively. "Your knot." Neji takes his foot, dragging it up Shikamaru's leg and close to his crotch but not quite close.

Shikamaru reaches under the table, taking his foot in hand, he closes his legs, laying the foot on his lap. Using his thumb, he massages his ankle. "When I met you, I thought I met a proper man, but under all of that hair and prissy attitude is a knot whore."

"I wasn't like this before you." He shockingly admits. Neji puts his chopsticks on top of his bowl. Loving how Shikamaru is touching him.

"Your exes couldn't handle you?"

Neji represses the urge to scoff. Thinking of the Betas he's dated. "No." He decides on.

Shikamaru clicks his tongue.

"Sasuke told me how it feels."

Shikamaru raises a brow.

"And—uh." Neji bows his head. He looks around, then back at Shikamaru. "Like, I already have the plug. So." He shrugs one shoulder. "I was thinking of getting an Alpha knot toy. Slowly working myself open….and?"

Shikamaru stays silent.

Neji knows their food will be brought home.

"Seems like you have everything figured out." Shikamaru says. "Why do you know my knot at all?" Shikamaru opens his legs slightly, Neji's foot slowly falls to the floor.

Neji frowns. "I wanted to…."

"To what, Neji?" He says calmly.

Neji opens his mouth, but nothing comes out.

"If it's all about the knot, why am I here? Is there more to our relationship than just a knot?" Shikamaru says. Neji knows his tone wants to rise.

"It begins with a toy, and then you might find a Alpha that doesn't care about you're health because I'm so fucking skeptical. Like I already have you on butt plugs for my pleasure. The knot is obviously something you want, and I'm ignoring your wants, aren't I?"

Neji shakes his head. "Never. You—"

"Then what,Neji?" He says sternly. Neji watches as the Alpha opens and closes his hand, he raises it as if he will bang it on the table.

"I want you, Shikamaru. You!" He emphasizes the You. He clears his throat. Ducking his head, when a waitress looks at him. "I want you." He says in a lower tone. "All of you. I just, fuck." He feels his face heating up. "I just think about you all of the time. I've never had someone on my mind as much as you are." He can't look at Shikamaru's face. "I want all of you, but I don't need all of you. I want you to give it to me willingly, and as a side note, I enjoy the butt plug as much as you do. It is never a chore." He whispers harshly.

Shikamaru reaches across the table to lift Neji's chin up. "You do?"

"I do what?" Neji he says.

"Want all of me?"

Neji nods.

"I feel the same." He lets go of the chin. "That's why, I don't want a knot toy inside of you. If you're so damn insistent on it. I want to be your first knot experience." He says darkly.

Neji grasps Shikamaru's hand, before he can retract it. He laces their hands together over the table. "You will?" He says sweetly. Neji wants to fan himself over the thought of taking his knot.

Shikamaru scoffs before smiling. "Like I could let a knot whore like you down."
