Hatelsia swears in Dwarvish. She's hobbled all the way back to the nearest town. She's covered in cuts that have been hastily bandaged and soaked in alcohol. She's covered in now dried blood and grime. Arms are numb from battle and she REALLY needs a drink.

I would totally buy this house.

There is a lot going on in this little fairy tale property built in 1998 in Norwood, CO. It has 1bd, 1ba, $323,900. So many outbuildings, too.

The main house is adorable, but there's this little cottage on the property that looks like a real fixer upper.

Large deck with a pergola, attached to a shed.

Cute little crooked she shed.

The main house extends out the back.

Look at the interior, though. A sweet little hobbity sleeping nook.

Victorian mantel.

An old, architectural salvage door.

Small back room with laundry. Look at the cute lattice and stuff. Is that a composting toilet by the washer?

The kitchen's as funky as you'd expect it to be.

Looking at the rest of the cluttered, maximalist home from the kitchen. Look at the washtub in the counter.

And, here we are in the bath. Is that a zinc tub?

Back outdoors, there are some wild gardens.

Gate to the whopping 40 acre property. That's a lot of room to build, etc.

what makes Cinder such a compelling 2012 not-like-other-girls protagonist is that she is surrounded by Other Girls, and she loves them. Iko and Peony are the most stereotypical teenage girls obsessed with pretty clothes and boys and pop culture and she would die for either of them in a heartbeat. Iko rolls in with makeup smeared all over her plastic face and Cinder is like "ayy girl slay!". she knows that she is JUST like other girls in all the ways that matter.

Maybe I reading this wrong but this popped into my head on a reread: Does Leo like fighting his family not only to feel their ninpo but also because fighting is the only way he has had physical contact in the last five years? If it is that just makes every fight scene all the more angst filled, not that they needed help in that particular aspect. Thank you so much for writing an amazing story.

ed thinks he’s unloveable - has thought so since long before he met stede - but he was still brave enough to confess that stede makes him happy, to take a chance on a kiss. like, i cannot stress how terrified he must have been, must have been waiting for the other shoe to drop but hoping it wouldn’t. that is the most courageous thing ed could have done considering the depth of his contempt for himself. he must have felt so utterly safe with stede and also so besotted that it made him take the risk. then he waited all night until the sun rose on the ever-dwindling chance stede would still show. he had so much love and happiness and hope that maybe he was wrong, maybe he is worthy of love, of stede’s love. and then stede never came, and ed must have felt all of that self-loathing increase tenfold with humiliation to boot. stede’s apparent rejection made an already present wound triple in size, and once izzy landed the final blows, it completely engulfed him and he self-destructed.
