I love how Jon describes Val (and Jaime too lol) through all these metaphors and complicated words seeing her as if she’s a goddess or what and then describes Satin (every fucking time by the way) as pretty. Like, it’s as if Jon knew that, unlike Val, Satin is actually there and he’s reachable. Kinda like, when you have a celebrity crush you’re like “oh my fucking god they’re so beautiful and hot and they’re perfect” but then when it’s about your actual crush, the one you’re hoping to get with somehow, you’re just like “they’re so pretty”.

My favorite makeup products this year

I’m NOT buying any more makeup for the rest of the year so I wanted to make this list of my faves. All of these are things that I didn’t just like but would/will rebuy when they run out. 

Face

NYX Angel Veil Primer ($16) - This is basically an Hourglass dupe. I use it even if I’m just wearing concealer because I like how it makes my skin look.  

Rose Water Facial Toner ($3.99) - I use it as a morning toner sometimes but I've been using it as a setting spray every time I put on makeup since I got it and I cannot believe I was paying so much more even for mini bottles of UD and Too Faced setting sprays (I never bought the full bottles) when this spray works just as well, maybe even better for me.  

Cover FX Power Play Foundation ($44) - I actually haven't heard this one talked about a lot but I think I like it more than Fenty which was my favorite foundation since I bought it. They're both medium to full coverage, they both match me exactly, and neither of them have ever broken me out.  I like the wear of this a bit more but I'll be rebuying both Cover FX and Fenty when they run out.  

Sacha Cosmetics Buttercup Powder ($20) - I've tried samples of translucent/setting powder way more expensive than this and wasn't as satisfied. BTW, a tip if you have really oily lids? Before you put your primer on, pat translucent powder on your lid, leave it on for about 30 seconds, then lightly brush it off. It’s keep your lid oil free much longer.

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand ($6) - I have a hard a time finding concealer because of my dark circles but this shit has HELD UP. I will say the color I have isn't the exact one I need so I end up putting just a little dab of a darker concealer I have but that's JUST for the color. I think I need to get concealer a shade or two darker when I rebuy.

Glossier Skin Tint ($26) - I feel like people either overhype Glossier or are over the top with hate but personally (IT'S MY OPINIOOON) it's exactly what I needed for light coverage days. When my skin is in a really good place but I still want a little something, the "light coverage" foundations I've used are still too heavy but this was perfect. Just remember it is a SKIN TINT so don’t expect an actual foundation.

Glossier Cloud Paint ($18 for 1, $30 for 2) - Perfect blush. Dassit.

Juvia’s Place Saharan Blush Palette Vol 2. ($18) - This is my favorite powder blush. I prefer cream blush in general but this is the only non-Orgasm powder blush I like. 

Glossier Haloscope ($22) - THIS is the type highlighter I've been searching for. It makes you glow/look dewey and it's not full of glitter. I have to use a super light touch for the other highlighters I have because I don’t want to be seen from space.

Eyes

Urban Decay Naked Palette ($49) - Okay, this is my favorite palette of the year straight up.

NARS Pro Prime Eyeshadow Base ($26) - I just got this yesterday and I already feel confident saying it's the best eye primer I've ever used. Before this I have never found a primer that totally held up for me and my oily lids but here I am looking like I JUST applied my shadow when usually the colors would start to melt together by now. 

Milk Kush Mascara ($24) - I don’t really like getting full sized non-drug store mascaras but I love how this makes my lashes look. I like it better than Better Than Sex tbh.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama ($6-10 depending where you get it) - Probably my favorite drugstore mascara. It has a unique wand that really lengthens. This and L'oreal Lash Paradise are the drug store mascaras I usually buy.

Tarteist Clay Paint Liner ($24) - Listeeen! This is a gel liner that comes in a tube. It goes on so smooth and looks amazing. I’ve used other gel liners that aren’t this pigmented or dry out really fast but I have zero complaints about this. 

Lips

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34) - I’ve never bought a lipstick this expensive before and I hate that I actually think it’s worth it lol. I’ve never had a lipstick that wears like this! It’s a matte but it’s not at all drying, it didn’t crease, it didn’t give me that weird white line on my lips. 

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil ($20-27) - So, this is not a lip liner, it’s a lipstick in pencil form. Again, it’s a matte lip product that is NOT drying which is huge for me cause that’s why I hated trying matte lips when it was huge. It goes on so smooth and it’s super pigmented, even the lighter colors. 

Jack Black Lip Balm ($7.50) - Just what I need in a balm because 1) I don’t have to reapply it every ten minutes and 2) it’s moisturizing without being GLOSSY.  

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick ($5-9) - Not the first time I've used this of course but it's been at least a decade and I was surprised that the formula seemed so much better. I’ve always thought Revlon made the best drugstore lipsticks but Rum Raisin made a comeback for me this year.

Bart: Ve shot him in ze legs because his shield is ze size of a dinner plate and he is an idiot.

Headcanon that when Tim first met and started hanging out with Kon and Bart they were so chaotic that one day, just so he could get some work done, he made the mistake of giving them a tablet with Vine downloaded/a playlist of Vine compilations on YouTube.

He came back two hours later to discover they had somehow memorized the entirety of Vine and were speaking exclusively in Vine references.

Now, years later, anytime someone starts a Vine reference, Kon and Bart involuntarily have to finish it because it's just part of their souls now.

They still talk in Vine references to annoy Tim.
