#spinda#AAAHHHH YES!!! our belovèd spinda. from their café!!! probably one of my favorite minor characters from pmd sky#whom i don't even think was in the original explorers games. i think spinda's café was exclusive to sky. if i'm remembering correct#ly. or maybe that was shaymin village. i know shaymin village was for sure but maybe it was just that and not both of them. either way#have a delicious drink and allow the flower of conversation to bloom! i could quote spinda all day. he had “hopes and dreams” before toby#ever did. THAT'S ALSO like i had no idea what spinda's pronouns were. i kept trying to figure it out because i talked about him quite a lot‚#but no one in game ever talked about him. to mention his pronouns? turns out. there's ONE line of dialogue where the post office fucker in#shaymin village mentions him and calls him a he. i think that's the only time spinda is referred to in the third person with a pronoun#i believe it's when they're talking about like. how you can send gifts or whatever and pick up the characters' responses at spinda's café#which is still a really fucking good feature. of any video game. SEE WHAT I MEAN spinda and their café is just an incredibly good Thing#it's to the point where my home wifi network is named “Spinda's Café Wi-Fi” because i love it so much. so if you're ever runnin around#and you see a wifi network by that name… it might be me! you never know! or… it could be the real deal. the real spinda's café is somewhere#nearby! ugh. i wish. i would go there immediately#not even to mention all the other shit about this pokémon that's really good. like that they never walk in straight lines or whatever#their little dance. it's just. huUGHKLJKAHJVDHJHDAJSVGD i love spinda. a nice pick-me-up after the underwhelmingness that was grumpig#shake it this way… shake it that way… and stir it all around… and it's done!

(yandere! co-actor x gn! co-actor reader) (theyre co-stars who act as lovers n have to act like they love each other but they actually don't)
"but oh, darling, how i adore your face in all its glory..."
"cut!"
your co-actor immediately pulls away from you, face scrunching up in disgust as he completely refuses to acknowledge your presence. you do the same, wiping your hand with a cloth as you walk to the opposite side of the set.
yes, the two of you were co-stars who secretly hated each other. shocking.
to be honest, it was shocking because you didn't hate him initially. you had actually admired him and even wanted to act together in a movie! he was once your idol after all.
and by some stroke of luck, your manager had gotten you the opportunity to be a co-star on a romance-horror movie that was predicted to be the biggest film of all time.
but now that you had achieved that dream... you really wish it hadn't come true. for people's facades come down once you get to know them.
you and him did not get along at all. constantly butting heads, fighting over the littlest of things... yet, you two manage to act out the roles of obsessed lovers who would die for one another.
the fact that the movie was about how you (the love interest) and him (the male lead) were dating and how he would go crazy and stuff-
ugh you can't believe you had to act this out! you're too annoyed to even think straight now! like, what kind of false reality is this?!
...
well i mean, it is kinda your job as an actor to sell a false reality but still! the way you two can pull a 180 each time you have to get on set is crazy!
"oi you, don't breath all up in my face next time. yoy are repulsive."
"we're literally supposed to stand close to one another! how am i not supposed to do that-"
"then don't breathe."
"you two stop it!"
the director barks at the two of you, shaking his head as the both of you roll your eyes. seriously, to everyone else it looks like little kids who are fighting over the smallest of things. how childish!
"we're gonna be filming the next scene. get in position!"
you begrudgingly walk over to the middle of the set at the familiar phrase, getting into place as your co-star unwillingly holds you in an intimate pose. with him pressed up against a wall and you pinning him up against said wall.
you shudder in disgust as the cameras begin rolling once more. ew, you really can't understand what you used to see in him. like he's so dramatic and sassy! what-
"ack!"
your eyes widen as you see him shiver fearfully, a spider crawling on his head. what the hell?! where did this spider come from?!
you wanted to back away from your co-star but the second you saw how his eyes started to water, the way his lower lip trembled... you knew you couldn't just leave him to suffer. even when you hated him.
"don't move..."
you mumble, eyebrows furrowing slightly as you use a shaky hand to approach the spider. hm... it's not like you were scared it's just... why's it so big?
you gulp nervously, eyes widening slightly as you watch the spide crawl up your arm. damn, if you were a bit more of a coward...
you set the spider on a nearby desk, humming softly as you let out a shaky sigh of relief. oh well, at least it's over.
as you were drinking some water, your co actor couldn't help but feel his heart race, cheeks flushed red as he tries to regulate his breathing. what the hell? why is he getting so flustered over you getting close to him?
his eyes drift to your figure, taking in your carefree attitude. he quickly looks away as your eyes glance at his staring. hiding his face in his hands, he huffs and turns around, grumbling something about you as he feels his heart rate spike even more.
all he can think about as the rest of the shoot goes on was whether you had looked this beautiful before.

enjoy the silence
summary: your usually quiet self becomes unusually loud around your boyfriend so you want him to make you shut up 👀 pairing: chan x reader genre: smut with hints of angst warnings: silence kink, insecurities, swearing, healthy communication 🥰 belt, fingering, eating out, overstimulation, piv sex, safeword used, pre-discussed scenario, dirty talk, pet names, kissing, overthinking, they're just idiots in love, your honour 😔 word count: 1.5k
You are generally perceived as the "quiet one" among your friends. Always the listener, never the talker. Honestly, you are more than okay with it. Most of the time, you can't think of a funny or interesting thing to say so you keep to yourself. And you genuinely enjoy hearing about your loved ones' days, even if you are not the best at responding with something witty. Some of them say one of the things that they like about you is that you don't give unnecessary advice but offer your support which is more than enough in certain situations.
All of that changes when you meet Chan. He makes you feel so comfortable that you open up without realizing. Sometimes you would babble for hours and he would let you. In most contexts, you would overthink your answer and end up not saying anything. But when you are with him, you don't have to think. You just freely say whatever is on your mind and are met with acceptance. It is like he unlocked a new part of you that you didn't even know existed.
One evening, you are out having dinner with Chan, and you are excitedly telling him about what you did today, what you ate, where you went, what outfit you wore and all the silly details you normally keep inside. He smiles at you adoringly, adding "Really?" and "That sounds nice" every now and then.
You are genuinely having a lovely time when you overhear a remark coming from the table nearby.
"Ugh, does that woman ever shut up? That poor guy..."
"I know, right? Must be so annoying..."
You immediately stop talking and gulp nervously. They must be talking about you. Were you really that loud?
"Let's go home," you say in a quiet voice.
Chan doesn't question it, he just gets the bill and you two make your way out of the restaurant. He drives you home in complete silence and when you are inside the apartment, he finally breaks the quiet spell.
"What's wrong, sweetheart? You didn't even finish your meal..."
"N-nothing, I'm f-fine," you try to lie but your voice breaks.
"Tell me, please," Chan urges you to trust him with your concerns.
"Channie, do I talk too much?" you ask.
"Oh, so you heard those assholes, as well..."
"So...do I?"
"I seriously love hearing you talk, okay? I've seen how quiet you get around your friends and I am glad you feel safe enough to share all these stuff with me. And to be fair, it's kind of a relief, after a long day of me doing a lot of talking, I get to listen to you. These people at the restaurant were just jealous that no one wants to hear their nasty voices."
That makes you laugh and you bury your head in his chest, enveloping him in a hug.
"Don't you ever get tired? Don't you wish to shut me up?" you want to know.
"Where is this coming from? Forget about these fuckers..."
"Not in general. Don't you want to make me stop talking in bed?" you suggest boldly.
"Oh. It hasn't crossed my mind. Is that something you'd like to explore?"
"As long as it's with you, yes."
"With nobody else?" Chan runs a finger across your cheek.
"Nope, never," you admit.
"Well, I'll see what I can do about that."
Chan looks really tired from work and you probably shouldn't push his buttons right now of all times. But you really want to see him snap. Empowered by your previous discussions of this particular scenario, you decide to give it a shot. If he's not in the mood, you'll just drop it and let him rest. But if he's in...may the universe have mercy on you.
"So I told her, no, I don't want to get drinks for everyone, Susan, 'cause you never pay me back and you always treat me like a minion and then she said-"
Chan sighs deeply because you've told this story like three times already but doesn't interrupt you. Okay, he really appears exhausted, maybe this was a terrible idea.
"Tell me to shut up," you beg him at this point.
"Huh?" he blinks somewhat confused.
"I'm obviously being super loud and you're tired. So, make me shut up and take it out on me. Please?"
Realizing where you're going with this, Chan nods and the exhaustion suddenly disappears from his eyes. His gaze is now on fire as he squishes your cheeks with one hand and pushes you against the wall.
"As long you're begging," he smirks cruelly and kisses you.
Oh dear. He's never kissed you like this, so roughly and fervently, teeth clashing against yours, biting your lips until it hurts. You cannot speak even if you wanted to, which you don't. Completely losing yourself to the feeling, you let him do as he pleases.
Chan grabs your wrist and pulls you towards the bedroom. He pins you under him on the bed and starts talking.
"Always so fuckin' loud, huh?"
You shake your head in disagreement. You can be quiet if he wants you to. You'd do anything if it makes him happy.
"Got nothing to say all of a sudden?" Chan teases you and starts taking off your clothes.
You lick your own lips hesitantly but don't dare say a word. Seeing him like this is so unexpected but you can't get enough of it.
"What got you so shy, hm? I thought you loved yapping to me. All. Day. Long."
The way he enunciates each word would make anyone else think he was genuinely annoyed by it. But you know your Channie. You know that he wouldn't hurt you. Not unless you asked him to.
"Talk to me, baby, yeah? Why aren't you saying anything?" he asks while he's unbuckling his belt.
You refuse to speak and he takes it as a sign to continue. He smacks the bed with his belt and the action is so startling you unvoluntarily flinch as if you were the one hit.
"Are you going to speak or do you want me to force the words out of you?"
Oh, so he's going to use your own weapon against you? Very well, then. Two can play at that game. Let's see who folds first.
Chan takes the task very seriously and does everything he can think of to make you talk again.
"Come on, sweetheart, doesn't this feel good?" he keeps asking as his big fingers stretch you out deliciously. Yes, it feels amazing, but you are so stubborn you say nothing.
"Not even a moan? You're crazy," he laughs but doesn't give up.
He eats you out longer than you've ever thought humanly possible, making you cum over and over again. But you still hold on, fingers gripping the sheets and teeth biting the inside of your cheek.
"Was this okay?" Chan needs to know and you swear you see his eyes watering with emotion, begging to be praised for his otherworldly skills, but not even that can make you speak.
You give him a noncomittal nod, which obviously makes him even more competitive.
Finally, he thrusts into you so deeply, so overwhelmingly that it takes every ounce of willpower for you to not break. His hard cock inside you, his strong arms wrapped around you, his smooth voice talking to you, his beautiful eyes gazing at yours. It's too much, yet never enough. You want to tell him so many things. How much he means to you, how grateful you are for him, how happy he makes you, how-
"Be honest, do you hate me?" Chan interrupts your affectionate thoughts out of nowhere.
Huh? Where the fuck is this coming from?
"P-pineapple," you break your silence by saying the pre-established safeword because there is no way you could continue enjoying yourself and each other without unpacking this.
Oh, no. Chan just wanted to hear you speak again, but not like this.
"What's wrong? Did I hurt you?" he immediately asks in concern and stops his movements.
"Did you hurt me?" you answer sarcastically. "Did I hurt you? Why would you ask me if I hate you while literally inside of me, are you serious right now?"
"I was just wondering," he pouts adorably, "you weren't talking to me for so long, I thought you were mad at me or something."
"I wasn't speaking because that was part of the scenario we talked about! Of course, I love you, you big idiot! How could you possibly ask that?"
Chan smiles fondly and gives you a soft kiss.
"I love you, too," he giggles. "So, you're not hurt? We can keep going?"
"No, I'm fine. Yes, we can, I just said the safeword because I can't have you thinking I hate you under no circumstances. You're everything to me, okay?"
"Okay," Chan agrees easily. "But can I ask for something?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"Please never shut up for real, baby. No matter how tired I may look, I love hearing about your day."
"I know. The same goes for you, yeah? You don't have to keep everything in, alright? I'll always listen to you. Whenever and whatever you want to say, I'm here for you."
"Oh, really? You'll be my good girl and listen? You'd do what I like?" Chan raises an eyebrow and you long to see what kind of demon you've unleashed.
"For you? I'd do anything," you promise.
"Then no more silence. I wanna hear you scream for me."
The End

first date headcanons | my hero academia
a/n these are just some ideas on how i personally think these characters would ask you out on a date + the actual date. not proofread
characters izuku midoriya, katsuki bakugou, shoto todoroki
masterlist
izuku midoriya
spend a while preparing before asking you out
seeking advice from friends like uraraka or iida
they would encourage him to just be himself
he'd want the setting in which he does to feel special but not too overwhelming
determined yet still a bit nervous
lowk see him just writting a letter
it would be neat and you can tell how much thought went into it
for the actually dtae
he'd take into account your interests and preferences
super organized
it would be something casual yet fun
like a walk in a park
or visiting a cafe
any kind of place with a relaxed environment in which the two of you could both talk and get to know each other better
like prepare a small picnic at a nearby park
he'd bring homemade sandwiches and snacks
he;d be slightly embarssed but proud of his effort
pick a spot in the park in which you could lay a blanket down and just watch the sunset
he loves to make you smile
and all the little things he does like pick up a dandelion for you to make a wish, tuck your hair behind your ear, or just the sweet words can;t help but make you smile
once the suns set he'd suggest a quick stroll through the city, enjoying the lights and the atmosphere
he'd more at ease by this point
and holds your hand if youre comfy w it
on the walk back he would immediately ask if you guys could hang out again soon
katsuki bakugou
honest and straightforward
doesn;t beat aroudn the bush
he's confident, and if theres any ounce of nervousness in him you wouldn;t be able to tell
but his usual brash demeanor would slightly soften
but he's still direct
he'd do it when youre alone
he'd pull you aside, away from others, to avoid making a scene
makes it clear that he's serious about this
his way of thinking is simple
he likes you and wants to spend time with you, no need to complicate it
would prefer a lowkey setting for the date, rather than flashy activities
like just hanging out in one of your dorms would be enough for him
but he knows you deserve more than that
but he still focuses on just spending time with you
getting to know each other in a relaxed setting
given his competitive nature, maybe go to a small and lowkey bowling alley with a small arcade
preferably one thats not well known and popular
he'd enjoy the challenge in the activities and the chance to see your playful side
don't think he'd let you win, he'd a try hard and will attempt to beat you at everything
throughout the date, he would show subtle protective gestures
like walking on the side of the sidewalk thats closer to the road
ugh what a man
while he may not be the best with words, he would engage in all your conversations with honesty and openness
during quiet moments, where he lets his gaurd down, you get to see a glimpse of his geniune personality
on the way back to the dorms, as he asks to see you again, he'd be less gruff but still determined and direct
hes serious about you
as you say goodbye, he can;t help but linger outside your dorm for a little
his expression soft with a small smile
shoto todoroki
would take him a while to even realize he liked you lol
but when he does
he's calm about it
yet he still takes some time to reflect on his feelings
ensuring that he truly does want to take this next step
he wants to make sure that this is 100% the right move for the both of you
would choose a quiet, private moment to ask you out
he values sincerity and wants to ensure you are comfortable
he'd appraoch you with gentleness that reflects his sincerity
he would be calm and genuine, showing his true intentions
his idea of a perfect first date is simple get elegant
he'd suggest starting the date off with a walk in a garden or park
someplace that would likeley have no distractions that takes away his time with you
after the walk
he'd take you to a charming little tea place
the calm atmosphere allowing for deeper conversations between you both
he wants to learn everything about you that he doesn;t already know
whether thats going on for hours about your favorite books, music, hobbies
he wants to share parts of his life that are meaningful to him ofcourse, but would rather learn about you first
there would be quiet moments throughout your date, but he enjoys those
he seems to enjoy your presence more than anyone elses
if its chilly he'd offer you his scarf or jacket
his actions speaking volumes about his caring nature
he's the best listener
he values your guys connection and is eager to learn more about you
as the day comes to an end and you two walk back to the dorms, your conversations continue
what he has with you is completely new to him
he's never wanted to get to knwo someone more than he has with you
and he expresses this clearly when asking about your availability for future dates

How I Met Her Mother | Part 2 | Tighnari x Reader
Romantic: Tighnari x Collei's Parent! Reader
Description: When Collei and the traveler discover Tighnari's feelings for her adoptive parent, they make it their mission to get them on a date together through a (maybe unnecessarily) elaborate plan.
(Notes: none) (gender neutral reader) (reader is Collei's adoptive parent) (Part 2 of How I Met Her Mother)
Read Part 1 here!
I didn’t plan to do multiple parts originally but @4o3ok3id you ask and you shall receive! <3
Since you'd moved back to Gandharva Ville, you'd been extremely stressed. Between your work as a doctor, helping your daughter with her own health issues, and trying your best not to inconvenience any of the forest rangers, things could be a lot. However, more recently, you'd started to notice a few of those worries easing, as if someone had been lightening the load on your shoulders.
And, of course, that someone happened to be Tighnari; your close friend from back during your Akadamiya days. You didn't think he was aware of the fact that you'd noticed, but you had. He was always offering to take in some of your extra patients since he had some medical expertise himself, even after you'd essentially become Gandharva Ville's personal doctor. He kept you as updated as possible on Collei's condition so you wouldn't be left worrying in the dark, he let her rest in his own hut on her off-but-not-life-threatening days so you wouldn't have to see it, and the amount of times he'd brought over dinner for the two of you due to having 'made too much for himself' so you wouldn't have to worry about cooking was becoming too much to count.
You were extremely touched by it and always tried your best to repay him for his kind acts, though he rarely ever accepted anything, claiming he 'was just doing his job as head forest ranger.'
You weren't the only one that had started to notice his abnormal kindness towards you and your daughter, though.
"He brought you guys dinner again?!" Paimon exclaimed a little too loudly as she, Collei, and Aether crouched behind some bushes by your house. "That's, like, the third time since we've been visiting!"
"I know," Collei replied, "Master Tighnari is very kind, and I think he can tell how stressed they are. I just wish I could do something to help them too; I hope I don't make them worry too much..." Aether could see the green haired girl starting to look sad and immediately tried to come up with a way to cheer her up. Luckily, though, Paimon seemed to have that covered.
"Collei!" She exclaimed, flying a little closer to the girl while still staying far back enough that she wouldn't accidentally touch her and make her uncomfortable, "Do you realize what this means?!" She got loud again and, momentarily, the rustling in your kitchen nearby stopped. All three of them froze but after a second it continued as you went back to preparing the dinner the forest ranger had brought; seemingly deciding not to investigate the loud noises outside.
Aether shushed the little flying girl as Collei frowned slightly. "...No?" Paimon looked exasperated.
"Do you?!" She asked, turning to the blonde traveler, who shrugged. "Ugh!' Paimon exclaimed, "Isn't it obvious? Tighnari has feelings for Collei's parent! You two are both clueless."
"He...Does?" Collei asked, looking a little confused but the longer she though about it, the more she had to admit that it did add up. Even before you'd adopted her when she was little, there had seemed to be something going on between you two that was different from your friendship with Cyno or anyone else.
"Of course he does!" Paimon replied, "You should have seen the look on his face when he told us how they'd met, Collei! Paimon can't believe she didn't realize it at the time but it all makes sense now!" Beside her, Aether couldn't help but nod in agreement; she had a point.
"...I guess that would explain why he always does so much to help," Collei admitted finally, "And why he seems so much less strict around us than the rest of Gandharva Ville. I always thought it was just because they'd graduated together, but Cyno was in their class too and Master Tighnari is even stricter towards him than anyone here!"
"Exactly!" Paimon exclaimed. This revelation put a smile on Collei's face. After all, you and Tighnari had to be two of her favorite people in the whole world. You'd taken her in when she had nothing; a scared child that was recovering from having the remains of a god essentially exorcised from her body. You were young yourself at the time, and yet you'd agreed to raise her as your own without a second thought.
And then there was Tighnari; the man that had taken her on as a student the second she'd shown an interest in plants and basic level of competence. He'd helped make her who she was today; taught her to fight, empowered her when she felt like she couldn't ever be strong again. He'd even helped stave off the symptoms of her Eleazar alongside you.
The idea of the two of you potentially entering a relationship- or better yet, getting married- made her grin widely. She already saw Tighnari like a second parent with all that he'd taught her, even if she would never be brave enough to tell him that to his face. Having you both as her official parents would be a dream come true, and if it would make you happy, she'd support it without a doubt.
"I hope Master Tighnari tells them about his feelings soon!" She exclaimed excitedly now, "I'm sure they feel the same!"
"Knowing that guy, I wouldn't count on it." Paimon replied with a sigh. But then she seemed to get an idea because she suddenly turned and eyed Aether in a way only a scheming Paimon could. He gave her a 'what are you thinking?' kind of look but she just turned back to Collei. "What if we help them out?" She suggested, making him raise an eyebrow, "There's no way someone like Tighnari would confess to your parent; and especially not if he feels like they're already stressed. But if we nudge them along, maybe we could help them finally admit their feelings!"
There was a pause as Collei seemed to process this. On the one hand, as your daughter, she wanted you to be happy and not have to worry about her so much despite her illness. On the other, she knew it might be wrong to get involved in the situation when it really wasn't her place. After all, it was possible her mentor had his reasons for not admitting his feelings to you yet.
...Unfortunately for Tighnari, though, the first reason won out in her mind and she finally nodded at Paimon. "Alright," she said with a wide, excited grin. "Let's do it. Do you have a plan?"
"You bet Paimon does!" The little pixie exclaimed, motioning for her and the traveler to follow.
Aether couldn't help but feel he'd regret being involved with this later.
..........
"And that's why all of you should take on a little extra work today!" Paimon explained, concluding her longer-than-necessary presentation. The huge group of forest rangers, whom she'd dragged out of their rooms in the dead of night to convince, all looked at her with dead expressions. Beside her, Collei seemed to get a little nervous at the silence.
"Please." She added kindly. The rangers blinked and another silence followed before one raised his hand.
"If we agree will you let us go back to sleep?"
"Yes!" Paimon chirped, making the whole group cheer, "...Quietly!" They immediately silenced their joy before retreating to their rooms to get a few more hours of sleep before the sun would rise. Luckily, Tighnari hadn't been scheduled for any night patrol this evening so if they kept silent enough, he wouldn't realize the entirety of Gandharva Ville had been brought out for a meeting without him.
"I think that went well," Collei smiled as she turned to the pixie and the traveler. Paimon nodded.
"You think they'll follow through with it?" Aether asked. He didn't seem doubtful, though; just curious.
"I do!" Collei replied, "And don't worry, I'll take on some extra work too. Between all of us forest rangers, we should be able to give Tighnari a lot less worry about!"
"Which lets us continue with the next phase of our plan..." Paimon grinned evilly despite the actual act she was doing, which was very selfless.
"Before then, though, we should get some rest." Collei told them, "I'll meet you in the morning for breakfast, where we can continue with the next part of our plan!" They both nodded at that before the group split up and went their separate ways.
What they didn't seem to realize, though, was that their conversation had been overheard by someone whose lips tugged into a grin.
..........
The next morning, Paimon, Collei, and the traveler met bright and early for breakfast. There, they went over their plan while also not-so-casually observing Tighnari from afar as he went about his morning. The other rangers hadn't taken on much of their extra work yet, considering the day had just barely gotten started, but it seemed like the lead ranger was already becoming surprised by just how little he actually needed to get done.
He'd already checked back with one of his patients to find Collei had taken care of them before he could and that one of the nearby withering zones he'd planned on clearing today was already gone.
Things were going perfectly so far, and as soon as the group finished their breakfast, they bid one another goodbye before going their separate ways. Collei needed to do her actual job as a forest ranger trainee, and so it was the traveler and Paimon's turn to put some of this plan in motion.
They headed out to the nearest withering zone, which happened to be not far from your medical tent, and made sure they would be nearby if anyone got injured.
When a few rangers inevitably did and started heading for your tent, Aether immediately got in their way.
"You can't see Y/n!" Paimon exclaimed dramatically, "They're- uh, completely full! Yep! No more patients for them today; you'd better let him teleport you to see a doctor in Liyue Harbor instead." She pointed to Aether, who quickly nodded in agreement. The rangers exchanged glances among themselves but after a moment, seemed to decide the two were trustworthy because they nodded and allowed the traveler to make use of his teleport waypoints in order to take them for medical attention.
"And here I thought Y/n could never turn away patients," one of the rangers commented, "They must be beyond swamped right now! I hope they're alright."
"We should let Master Tighnari know not to send anyone else their way when we get the chance." Another agreed.
"No!" Paimon exclaimed, surprising them both. She immediately stiffened and pulled herself together, "Paimon means...We'll tell Tighnari for you! So don't worry about it!" Again, after a moment of deliberation, the rangers nodded before disappearing with Aether. The little pixie sighed in relief. If they told Tighnari not to send anyone for your medical attention, he would either suspect something was up and go talk to you about it or get worried about you and also go talk to you about it. They couldn't have that; not until they were ready for you two to meet up later.
"Paimon just hopes Y/n won't be upset we sent their patients to Baizhu," the girl said to herself, knowing the Liyue doctor was something of a rival to you. There was no animosity there; just a bit of friendly banter, but it was enough for you not to want Gandharva Ville's people going to him over you.
When Aether returned from teleporting the injured rangers to the harbor, he held up a thumbs up for the pixie, who nodded in relief that it had worked. They'd likely have to do this many more times today, of course; forest rangers tended to get hurt very often. But at least this meant there were two more they wouldn't need to worry about, which was better than nothing.
After all, if they wanted you two to have time for one another later, they needed to make sure both you and Tighnari had free work schedules for the day.
..........
"Master Tighnari!" Collei called, knowing the fox-eared forest ranger wouldn't be busy at the moment, thanks to her and the others' plan. She found said ranger near his hut, where he appeared to be cooking yet another meal that would make way too many servings for someone living alone to eat. When the green haired girl arrived, he immediately looked up at her.
"Collei, is there something you need?" He asked, clearly feeling a little awkward about being caught doing something so unproductive by his own trainee. What he didn't know was that she'd planned it that way.
"We're out of bandages and Padisarah's." Collei informed her mentor, "And we have a patient with a wound that could really use both over at the medical tent." It wasn't totally true; she had no idea if a patient at your tent required those things. But since both the bandages and the herb were resources they went through the quickest, it was a lie Tighnari would believe and take seriously, which he did.
"I see," he replied, glancing at the food he was still cooking, "Let Y/n know I'll head out to pick some more up today, and not to worry." He knew you too well, and had this been a real situation, Collei knew you would have called him a life-saver like you always did. She smiled, nodding with relief.
"Okay!" She told him and then went to head for the medical tent, only to pause on the way, "Would you like me to come with you to help? I know we usually buy our supplies in bulk so it could be difficult getting everything back here without a sumpter beast." Tighnari paused for a moment, remembering that the last of the sumpter beasts had been taken out that morning for other tasks (something Collei and the others had had nothing to do with but appreciated anyway).
"Yes, I suppose that would be a big help..." He decided finally, "Thank you, Collei. We'll head out in a few minutes, but please go let Y/n know first." She nodded before running off.
Tighnari had specifically given himself extra time not only because you needed to be informed if your daughter left Gandharva Ville but also so he could finish the food he'd been preparing to give you and her for lunch. Once it was finished, he took it from the cooking pot and wrapped it so it would stay fresh until he could give it to you, which would likely be later in the evening than he'd planned.
Collei returned a few minutes later, having actually let you know she'd be leaving but not the real reason why. Then the two of them were on their way after Tighnari checked one more time that he had no other pressing work to get done. Of course, he didn't.
Their walk to Sumeru City was quick and uneventful, and soon enough, they were in the market shopping for bandages, Padisarah's, and another item Tighnari wasn't yet aware of.
"Master Tighnari, look!" Collei exclaimed, pointing to a formal suit that was on display at one of the clothing shops. She'd seemed so excited about it that he had to come over but was surprised now to see what exactly she'd been pointing at.
"A...Suit?"
"Isn't it beautiful?" She asked, aware of how strange she sounded, considering she'd never showed any interest in men's formal wear before. "It reminds me of this story my parent told me once." At this, the forest ranger's fox ears perked a bit.
"Oh?" He asked, silently urging her to continue.
"After their graduation from the Akademiya, they got invited to attend a party in Fontaine," Collei explained, "When they attended, their date wore a purple suit, but it clashed with the outfit they'd picked and made them look awful together." The story she was telling was real, though you hadn't been nearly as dramatic when you'd told it as she currently was. "They broke up after that, but they always say he should have worn green like this suit because it goes with all their clothes."
With that, she turned and walked off as if she'd finally found the Padisarah's they'd been looking for. Planting the seed of an idea in Tighnari's head would hopefully be enough and she needed to be out of the way so he didn't feel any judgement when acting on it.
She made sure to inspect the herbs for much longer than necessary before glancing back at her mentor, who happened to have an extra shopping bag in his arms now that hadn't been there before. The suit that had been on display was also gone now, making the green haired girl's smile widen. She bought the herbs they needed and then turned back to the head forest ranger, who looked at her expectantly.
"Ready to head back to Gandharva Ville?" He asked, "Y/n would never be upset with us for taking too long but I wouldn't put it past them to badmouth me to their patients in order to make them feel better."
"They always say having a common enemy is a big part of bedside manner," Collei giggled, "They need someone to blame for the patient's prolonged pain." Tighnari chuckled at that, shaking his head as he lead the way back towards the village.

(창빈,현진) changbin & hyunjin.. 7 minutes in heaven
...🐷🐰 (창빈) changbin!!
the both of you grunted as you felt your bodies being pressed against each other, the lack of space inside the closet being to blame.
changbin and you looked the other way, trying your hardest not to breathe in each other's faces. "uh well, ain't this awkward.." changbin joked, trying to ease the heavy tension in the air.
you nodded quietly as you leaned against the door, praying that someone will just open the door already.
just how did you get into this mess?
well, it all started with you being dared by your friend to stand inside the closet for seven minutes alone. you accepted the dare— thinking it was easy enough. i mean just stand in a closet, alone, for 7 minutes.
but oh boy were you wrong. you should have known it was suspicious when your friend randomly dared you to go into the janitor's closet for seven minutes with changbin nearby.
somehow your friends somehow pushed the almighty changbin and held the closet close, refusing to open it until the seven minutes were up. you tried yelling at them to open it but it was to no avail.
anyway, that was how you got yourself into this awkward position with your crush.
"um, sorry that my friends pushed you to this.. ugh i swear I'll kill them once I'm out of here.." you muttered an apology while looking down, failing to notice the smile creeping on his lips.
a cute snort escaped his lips making you raise your eyebrow at it.
"it's fine, plus it's not that bad being stuck with you."
you immediately looked up at him in shock, your ears already red. "i— uh. what do you mean by that?" you started fidgeting with your hands, trying to calm your flushing self down.
but it all went to waste as soon as changbin opened his mouth. "well, since i probably won't have another chance like this I'll just be honest. i really like you, yn. let me take you out sometime."
changbin's usual loud boisterous voice was surprisingly quiet, his tone gentle and loving. you could feel his true emotions.
you stared at him as if asking are you joking? to which he replied by only staring at you with his doting eyes. your eyes also bored back into his own as you try to conjure up a response.
you went into overdrive as the warm closet somehow turned into a sauna from how hard you were blushing. "i—uh i— um.. sure! would saturday work?" changbin nodded.
before any more conversation could start, the door suddenly opened— making you almost fall down head first but changbin's hand quickly sneaked its way onto your waist preventing you from falling down.
"see you at eight then, cutie" he helped you back on your feet and left you behind to process what the fuck just happened.
...🥟 (현진) hyunjin!!
your eyes darted everywhere except into his own, his eyes also following suit. you tried to push yourself as far back into the shelves behind you trying to make as much space between the two of you.
"you don't have to push yourself into the shelf, yknow?" your pupil blew wide as you apologized, retreating towards your original spot.
the both of you could feel each other hot breath's against each other, his breath fanning the crown of your head while yours on his chest.
just how did you get into this mess?
you, your friends, and a bunch of your classmates decided to play a silly game of seven minutes in heaven with each other. you could bet everyone was nervous about who they were gonna get stuck with.
one thing for sure was everyone wished that they could get stuck with hwang hyunjin, the class muse— and by some godly luck, you managed to get stuck with him.
you could tell a lot of people were jealous of you but they let it go, i mean it's just a friendly game between classmates.
god knows how nervous you are to be stuck in a room with him. i mean, people would fight for your spot right now.
"hey, you don't have to be so nervous... talk with me." hyunjin's smooth voice managed to ease you down a bit— your tense shoulder drooping a bit.
"yeah no sorry, it's just um.. awkward being stuck here with you!" you managed to squeak out a response, your voice higher than you intended. hyunjin laughed at this, easing the tense air.
without even realizing it, seven minutes passed by in a flash— the both of you doing nothing but chatting and getting to know each other inside that closet.
questions were bombarded your way to which you only replied with a we only chatted.
after the game ended and everyone headed their own ways, hyunjin called you over— earning looks from your friends.
you rolled your eyes at them and made your way towards hyunjin, a shy smile on your face. "um so.. i really enjoyed our time there." you also agreed, "yeah, i really got to know you a lot, hyunjin!"
"yeah so a new cafe just opened up nearby and i was wondering if you were free this saturday?"
dear god you feel like you could faint at this very moment. your ears immediately went red as you tried to remember your own schedule. "yep, I'm very much free! does three pm work?"
hyunjin's dimple made you go into overdrive as he winked at you.
"see you at three then, cutie."
should i make the rest of the members?

Deciding to live write (react) (?) this as I'm reading this new chapter (two parts WOW, double the angst) (so part one out of two, hope that's cool). If something happens my therapist WILL be hearing about you.
The title already I'm sobbing /pos
I HATE THE WATCHERS SO MUCH OMMMGGGGG, leave them aLONE
It's very Jimmy to not like crying, I love to see it. I love when fanfic writers don't like him crying, ty.
Tango :( The RANCH, it was THEIRS, my HEART These Watchers ugghhHHHH Jimmy immediately defending Tango, please nothing else happen to them, PLEASE
Every time the watchers speak, my want to punch them grows The explanation paragraph, ugh something about it, how Jimmy doesn't immediately try to blame Tango, or just understands it well. Just bjhebwg
Bdubs being so worried for Tango, please, JUST LET THEM BE HAPPY
JIMMY DEFENDING TANGO NUMBER TWO, hate me them
Watchers ugghhe
HERMITCRAFTING BEING HIS HOME UGH IM JUST POINTING OUT EVERY LITTLE DETAIL BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL SO
DELIGHTFUL, I LOVE THE WAY YOU WRITE SO MUCH
Okay, therapy time <3 (yes I did actually read this before my therapy appointment, this was /srs and not /j)
Therapy break over, BACK TO ANGST
Awww, Jimmy not believing Tango is evil. Love to see it.
UH OH, NOT THE TIMMY ALLUSION
Nvm not alright, Watchers need to Watch their mouths
"Pity is a suitor that won’t take a hint, no matter how many times Jimmy turns it away." Is SO good???? Excuse me??? Pity x Jimmy real ship of the htp au?? /j
Maybe I hate the watchers more than I hate Atlas, hm.
I like that they all still keep an air of lighthearted-ness about, even with Tango in such critical condition, they still are friends :)
Jimmy being okay with a scar to the face if it means Tango doesn't have to unnecessarily respawn :( /pos
This description of Tango has me thinking about that kinda old drawing that lunarcrown did of Tango back when he was chained up. Like, it's literally the first post that shows up when clicking on the chronological timeline, yeah that one, it reminds me of that one.
UGGGHHHH THE HAND ON THE CHIN GETTING A RESPONSE, NO, BAD AQUA, BAD. SOMETHINGS ARE BETTER LEFT OFF IN THE ASKS RESPONSES
WATCHERS ARE NOT HELPING (x2)
Still love Jimmy calling for SOS, like yes, smart move. I wish we could've seen what it was like for the other DL to see chat and immediately go "oh shit ???" and then see the SOS and go "OH SHIT ???"
I love Impulse <3
Ooooo, getting some more cases of this fantasy (racism? Bigotry? Bad stuff) worldbuilding
"I don’t believe that just being from there would automatically make someone evil." Nature vs nurture <3 Maybe all Bravo needed was two minutes with Impulse god DAMN
Sleepy time <3
Okay, don't like the Watchers, but the "Round two!" was funny, I'll give em that
"(You cannot sleep, there are monsters nearby.)" I- I- STOP I CAN'T LAUGH BUT OMFG
Rancher :((((((
HIS RANCHER
Let me at these Watchers, LET ME AT EM
Ugh, disassociation. As someone who's dealt with this during panic attacks, it totally tracks and breaks my heart :(
These Watchers gotTA BACK OFF, LEAVE TANGO ALONE GOD DAMN
No way Tango is tryna pull the "I'm fine" card rn, AFTER ALL THAT LMAO
Jimmy is very pretty TO ME
The collar dampening Tango's fire, metaphorically and literally, is just ugh. What's more is Jimmy likes Tango's fire, he likes the warmth Tango produces physically, and he likes the sparks of creativity and burning passion of Tango's metaphorically. And they took it away! Both ways to Sunday!!!
Na because crying on someone is such an intimate gesture. To let your heart pour out of you, no one does that to just anyone. What makes this even more important is how Jimmy cried on Tango's shoulder last chapter, and now Tango's crying on Jimmy's shoulder this chapter. They are each other's soulmate, they are their each other's ranchers. They are so important to one another and soo ughguew
Not gonna cuss this Watcher out, I'll let this sweet dreams comment slide for now.
Oooo, a peak into how they reacted to everyone joining. AND we get a look at Atlas' full username <3 Love it.
Wait Tyrannicide and Phantonym joined too?? Huh, thought as scientists they would've stayed behind. Cool to know!
I can see now why you needed all those usernames lol.
JOEL THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO LAUGH DAMNIT
Hmmm, love Scar immediately jumping into action. Oop and ofc the two scientists head out first lmao
ATLAS, WHEN I CATCH YOU ATLAS, NOT BIGB NOOOO
ATLAS, WHEN I CATCH YOU ATLAS, NOT PEARL NOOOOO
Actually really funny that ATLAS got the most kills from the Hels cast. Like, damn, pop off???? Man did more work than the ppl hired to actually do the dirty work lmao.
Wonder how difficult it was to keep up with all the names, who died then got back in, who killed who, etc.
Oop, Jimmy also noting Atlas is smarter than the average bear.
This whole paragraph talking about Bravo, yes Jimmy, drag that man. Loving how he immediately is like "dude is just like a hels player" and scoffing at the nerve of Bravo to claim to be his actual soulmate. Yes.
Head in hands, Watchers about to catch these hands.
Tango immediately wanting to get this all over with hurts. Damn, wonder if he just wants to get it over with cause he thinks they all want him gone.
"I mean, everyone knows I’m a vicious monster but I don’t have to look it, right?" UGH, Aqua you're lucky I already did my therapy time BEFORE this part, UGGGHHHHHH. I need to go back rq just to tell her this god DAMN
Welp, on to act two! Thank you so much for the wonderful reading material :)
TLDR: I hate the Watchers with a burning passion.
-🍌
what’s this?? a DETAILED LIVE BLOG of my writing for ME to read??? don’t mind if i do…
ok first off, thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to write down ur thoughts and share them with me. it’s truly one of the greatest joys of being an author, and the closest i can get to experiencing my writing as if i wasn’t the one who wrote it. NOW let’s get into it…
the overarching watcher hate is so justified and hilarious, they really just exist to be the most obnoxious and toxic livestream chat ever. at least, the ones who hang around jimmy are LMAO
AHA i’m glad u liked the part abt jimmy not liking to cry, i’ve been told he’s got a bit of a prideful streak in other series that didn’t come thru as much in his double life run, so that was a little nod to it.
the ranch could not escape its destiny of being tragically burned down 🫡
(omg the therapy appointment interlude. i remember when i’ve had to pause while reading a fic to address real life business and now someone’s doing that for MY writing…. :’))) i hope the appt went well!)
this chapter was a lovely opportunity to really show jimmy stepping up for tango, with both verbal and physical reassurance. he may not know everything abt the hels situation but he knows he loves tango <3
AND YEAH YEAH THAT FIRST ART MEL DID. definitely throwing back to that w tango’s disassociated state and the collar. nice catch ;0
the chin-hand response was another throw back to old mel art, isn’t that fuuuun? ;000
IMPULSE WAS THE MVP OF THIS CHAPTER 💪😤👏
ok the watchers do get their funny moments in here and there HAH
phantonym and tyrannicide did come along! they might be scientists, but they’re as nasty as any hels player (dr l8r_h8r did, in fact, stay home to monitor the portal. he’s kinda over the whole ‘violence’ nonsense.) tango actually targeted them first bc of their lab coats.
and YUP i got a lotta good username ideas from those suggestions. and it WAS very difficult to keep track of them all thru the chat backlog. i don’t know how long i spent going thru each player’s sequence of events, one by one, JUST to make sure i hadn’t forgotten to have someone die for the last time, or show up again without a new join message.
and unfortunately for jimmy he made the classic error of “typo in the group chat.” joel did what he had to 🫡 (buuuut once he saw how serious the situation was, he decided not to push it anymore)
atlas is a clever bastard and i love that yall love to hate him 🙏 he saw a virtual ocean of wolves storming down the hill and was like “ok clearly i’m not dealing with that, so let’s see where my efforts can be better spent.” the hired grunts don’t possess that kind of critical thought 🎻
i’m SO glad you enjoyed it!! thank you again for this lovely feedback <3

✿ Summary: Jungwon, do you feel the pain now?
✿ Pairing: Jungwon x fem!reader
✿ Genre: fluff
✿ Word count: 2.4K
✿ Warnings: i don't think there's any....? *let me know if there's anything I should add ^^*
"I won't stop getting butterflies"
•—————————————•°•✿•°•—————————————•
Siyeon took her glasses off for a bit to rub her eyes. Her eyes hurt and felt like they were being strained from her long hours of coding. She had a big final project in two days in one of her coding classes and she already wanted it to end.
She usually wore contacts on a daily basis but on the weekends, she usually stuck to her large thick-framed black glasses. Especially on a day like today, she was too lazy to get ready in the morning so she chucked on her glasses and stayed in her comfy clothes.
She put her glasses back on and fully sat back up; however, as soon as she did, she slumped back. She blankly stared at her computer screen that she’s been staring at for the past two days. She sighed as she wished that the coding would all magically be completed so she didn’t need to stay in front of the computer for another set of long hours.
She’s already done everything she could today to refresh her mind. She called Jungwon for over an hour as she complained how tired she was, she took a walk around her apartment complex and she just took another walk two hours ago to a nearby convenience store to eat spicy ramen to destress her mind. When she was stressed and overworked, she found that spicy food cleared her mind a lot and made her feel a bit more refreshed than before. But now she had nothing else to do. She didn’t feel like going out of her apartment and she knew she couldn’t call Jungwon. Enhypen’s world tour was coming and the members were in the practice room day and night to prepare for it.
She groaned out as she laid her head on one arm rest and hung her legs over the other with her fluffy blanket on top of her face.
“Ugh I don’t wanna be doing any of this.” She grumbled to herself, her voice being muffled by the blanket.
She shot up from her seat when she suddenly heard the doorbell ring. She tilted her head, wondering if she had ordered anything recently.
She hesitantly stood up from her chair and walked over to the front door. When she looked at her little screen that was connected to the camera outside, she saw a girl that was maybe her age with a flower bouquet.
Still confused, she opened the door. “Hello?”
The girl gave her a bright smile and that’s when Siyeon saw that she was in some kind of uniform and had a helmet sitting next to the feet of the girl.
“Hello! I’m from Blume Flower Shop. We received an order and got the instructions from that person that we should deliver this lovely flower bouquet to you. You’re Yoon Siyeon, no?”
“Yeah, I am.” Siyeon said, receiving the bouquet. “Who is it from?”
“I’m sure you’ll know when you read the custom they wrote. It’s on the side of the bouquet if you want to read it.” The delivery girl responded, giving her one last smile. “Have a nice day!”
Siyeon tilted her head before closing the door. She inspected the flowers to distinguish what they were when a small card that was tied around the bouquet with a thin golden string caught her eyes. She opened the card and immediately a smile formed on her lips.
I know you’re working really hard. I know you can do it!
I hope these pretty pink tulip flowers will cheer you up.
Hwaiting, love~ <3
-Wonie
It felt weird that a small note could trigger automatic giggles coming out of her mouth but she couldn’t help it. There were always moments where she felt herself falling in love with her boyfriend all over again. It was always those small moments. Moments like these where flowers can be seen as such simple gestures. But the fact that he thought of this when he had a whole world tour to prepare for made her heart melt.
“Gosh I love him.”
-------
“Ja- let’s take a fifteen minute break!” The Enhypen boys cheered when their choreographer announced a short break, most of them falling down to the ground right on their spots.
Jungwon took out his phone and saw that he had a message from Siyeon. It was a picture of the bouquet that he had sent and she had put a heart emoji after that while thanking him.
“Ay ay Jungwonie is smiling at his phone again.” Heeseung announced to the whole practice room.
“I’m guessing she got the flowers?” Jay asked, making the younger male nod.
“It seemed that she really liked them.” Jungwon said, looking at the picture and text with a wide smile painted on his lips.
“Yeah it does. She posted it in her story too.” Sunoo waved his phone around, showing everyone her instagram story which made Jungwon smile even more.
“Aiyo- look how whipped he is.” Jake cooed. “How are you going to manage to be away from her for so long during world tour.”
“Ha…I don’t know…” Jungwon trailed off. “I’m gonna miss her so much.”
“Aye look, he’s so whipped.” Riki pointed out, making Jungwon’s cheeks become red.
“Ayo we obviously already knew that.” Of course Sunghoon would be the one to add fuel to fire instead of extinguishing it from the situation.
“Shut up…” Jungwon mumbled, turning his back on his members which only made the sounds of the laughter increase.
“You’re going to go visit her after practice, right?” Jay asked, receiving a nod from the wavy hair male.
“Mhm…I’m planning to get some snacks before going to see her. And bring the polaroid camera to show her. She’s always talked about having a polaroid camera between us so we can take cute pictures.” Jungwon pointed to the baby blue bag on the chairs that contained the small gift.
“Ja! Let’s get back to work!” The boys groaned as their choreographer came back into the room, clapping his hands to get the boys up on their feets again.
-------
I’m never going to finish this.
Siyeon groaned as she thrashed in her computer chair. She slipped her hands between her eyes and her glasses and whined at the lack of motivation she had. Her big black headphones were still covering her ears as she reached for her phone to play a different song.
“Maybe playing a more upbeat song will motivate me more.” She mumbled for herself. Her fingers automatically typed ENHYPEN in the spotify search bar and played their most recent song. She smiled as Future Perfect blasted in her headphones and she cracked her fingers before getting back to work.
With the music blasting through her ears, she didn’t hear the small beeps that were emitted from her front door which indicated there was someone putting in the code and entering the apartment. She most definitely couldn’t hear the small sound of footsteps softly padding to her room and the small squeaks that were made from the soft push on the door.
She let out a small squeak when she felt someone hugging her from behind, burying their face in her hair but she calmed down when she could smell a familiar scent.
“Wonie!” She squealed out. She turned around and immediately gave the male a hug, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and bringing him close to her.
“Hey, love.” He chuckled as he brushed his hands through her hair and patted her back with her other hand.
They finally broke the hug and Siyeon was beyond happy to see her boyfriend’s face again. Especially after a long day of coding.
But Jungwon had his head tilted to the side like a cute little puppy and his eyes had a slight hint of confusion.
“Is something up?” She subconsciously pushed her glasses that were falling down her nose and that’s when it dawned on her.
Jungwon had never seen her glasses before.
Ever.
Siyeon gasped and buried her face into her thick blanket, afraid of what Jungwon would say with her glasses. To her, she looked nicer when she had her contacts in. She hated when people saw her with her without her contacts. That was one of the reasons she loved working at home. So she wouldn’t have to bother putting in contacts every morning to go to the library or a cafe. Rather she would just put on her glasses in the morning and spend the whole day not having to go through the pain of putting in and taking out her contacts.
And that’s why she felt absolutely mortified when she didn’t even realize that she had her glasses on in front of Jungwon.
She whined as she felt Jungwon tug on her blanket.
“Love, why are you hiding your face like that??” Jungwon questioned, trying to pry the blanket off her face.
“I don’t want you to see me with glasses.” Siyeon whined, refusing to let go of the blanket.
“But you look so cute.”
“No I don’t!” She exclaimed, her voice being muffled in the fabric of the fluffy blanket. “I wish I could look cute like those nerdy girls with the circle glasses but because my prescription is so high, my eyes look weird with my big glasses!”
The little tug of war game went on for quite a bit but unfortunately, Jungwon was stronger than her and was able to pry the blanket out of her grasp.
Before Siyeon could cover her face with her hands, Jungwon held her wrists and took his sweet time staring into her face.
“You look adorable with glasses. And I didn’t even think you could look cuter.” Jungwon cooed at the sight of his girlfriend, feeling the same butterflies he felt every time he would just look at her.
He couldn’t understand why she hated herself with glasses. The big framed glasses made his girlfriend look even smaller and cuter than she already did, if that was even possible. Especially with the comfy clothes that she was wearing she looked so endearing, he just wanted to put her in his pocket and carry her around.
“Really?” Jungwon felt like he was melting when he saw her look up but because her glasses were falling down, she was looking at him through the top of her glasses.
“Really. Now finish up the remainder of your project. I brought snacks for us and we can cuddle afterwards.” Jungwon gave her a slight peck and walked out of the room.
-------
Jungwon forgot that polaroid cameras could make sound when he took a picture. He internally panicked when he captured a picture of his girlfriend sitting on her computer chair with both of her legs up on the chair and focusing on her computer. And of course with her cute glasses. His eyes widened when Siyeon turned around.
“Did you just take a picture of me?”
“Uh- No?” Jungwon hid the polaroid camera behind him, along with the polaroid picture itself.
“I heard the click and the polaroid film coming out.” Sieyon narrowed her eyes as she lunged out of her chair and to Jungwon.
“Ah ah ah love.” Jungwon yelped as he put the polaroid camera and the film above his head, trying to protect it.
“Throw it out!” She whined as she jumped up to get the camera but mostly the picture.
“But you look so cute.” Jungwon pouted while he still tried to protect his camera and picture.
“I probably don’t!” She whined more as she jumped up, not realizing that she was pushing both of them closer to her bed.
“Got it!” She yelped as she was able to get the picture before Jungwon tripped and fell into her bed with her falling on top of him.
“HA! I got i-” She got cut off when she realized what position they had ended up in. She felt her cheeks become crimson red as she looked away.
Jungwon took the advantage to snatch the picture out of her hands.
“H-hey!”
Siyenn tried to take the picture back when she realized that it was out of her hands but Jungwon quickly placed a peck on her lips, shutting her up.
He fished his phone out of his back pocket and took off his phone case and put the picture in his phone case.
She gasped. “Jungwon, you have a clear phone case! What if people see?”
He shrugged as he put his phone back into his pocket. “I’ll put a pop socket on it or stickers to cover it partially. But I’m keeping it there so I can boast about my cute girlfriend.”
She blushed again as he cooed at her red cheeks and hugged her tightly, pecking her nose in an endearing way.
“My cutie.”

(ty @georgenootfound for beta reading this ily)
“Oops sorry,” I try looking up from the floor to see who I’ve run into. Literally. All my things are on the floor. Kneeling on the floor next to me I see a young blond man collecting everything that’s spread everywhere.
“Oh! don’t worry” he hands me my last things “I wasn’t looking, it’s totally my fault.”
I finish shoving all my stuff inside the tote bag. I turn back to thank him, but. Wow.
The first thing I can notice is that he looks like an angel. He’s smiling down at me with a charming look in his face. His hair is blond and slightly pushed back, and I can’t help but notice the little freckles decorating his pale skin.
Fuck I love freckles.
“I’m Felix by the way” he scratches the back of his head nervously. Could he get any cuter? “Again, sorry for bumping into you” his deep voice snaps me out of my trance.
I introduce myself back.
There’s not a day that has gone by since that accident. I have not stopped thinking about that Felix. At this point, I don’t even think I can stop.
Thinking about his perfectly styled blonde hair or his tiny freckles decorating his face. The color of his eyes. The way he smiled at me before introducing himself. But the one thing that kept me awake at night was his voice. That deep voice would make anyone feel things they’ve never felt before. How someone who looks so angelic could sound so devilish?
With those thoughts on my mind (always on my mind. I can’t stop), I started the day. Just like every other day, I get ready for work and leave my flat, not forgetting to say goodbye to my cat. On my way to work I stop on a shop nearby to buy some stuff for my little fluff ball. I was wandering through the corridors in the pet shop when I bump into someone.
Again. Can anyone ever look where they’re going?
“Sor-“ I start to apologize to the stranger when, to my surprise I realize who it is. This couldn’t be real, not again. “Oh-”
“Hi Felix” I look up at him before looking down at the floor. God, my shoes really need some cleaning. I chose the worst day to wear these – did it have to be in front of him? I laugh nervously, a little embarrassed. What are the chances?
“Oh hey, didn’t see you there…again” I feel my cheeks going red “It seems like we can’t meet in a normal way.” He chuckles.
“Oh, I wish we could,” I mumble, still looking down at my shoes.
“What was that?” I look up immediately. Stupid, why did I have to say that out loud? I feel my cheeks heating up more- if that’s even possible. I bet I look like a fucking tomato. Crap.
“Huh?” Huh? That’s all I can say? God. I wish I could function like a normal human being. “I didn’t say anything” ugh.
“Are you sure?” A devilish smile paints his face “are you sure you didn’t say anything?” he tilts his head.
Damn. I wish I could disappear.
Instantly.
I don’t know what to say, so I stay silent. I look back down, too embarrassed to keep eye contact.
He grins. “Me too, by the way.”
And with that he turns around and walks away. It takes me a few seconds to process everything that happened.
Wait. Did he just-? I might have just lost an opportunity to hang out with the nicest guy I’ve ever met.
I try to forget about it and continue with my day. But I can’t. I keep thinking about him all day long. Even when I need to be concentrating at work.
“… and it’s the third order you’ve got wrong.” My coworker’s voice brings me back from my daydreaming. “Are you okay?”
“I’m sorry girl but I don’t know where my mind is today.” Lies, lies, lies. I know exactly where it is – but I’m not about to tell her where. “I guess it’s one of those days” I laugh and go back front to avoid any more questions.
A couple of weeks go by, and my life goes back to normal. No more weird run-ins with handsome guys. God, I wish I could see him again.
“... he is really handsome.” I hear my two coworkers giggling while I’m getting ready to start my shift.
I roll my eyes, smiling a little. I work hard every day because I need the money to make my dream come true: opening my own bakery. Sometimes they don’t do the perfect job and I must jump in and do it myself, mostly because they get distracted by boys. But I understand them, I also was 18 once. Sometimes I feel old even though I’m only 23.
I finish tying my apron and go up front to start my shift.
“Hi, welcome to Fruity Paradise, what can I get for-” I shut up as soon as I look up from the screen. This can’t be true. What were the possibilities that Felix is here, at my job, and I’m the one taking his order. I hear my coworkers giggling behind me.
“Oh, hey again” he smiles. “I would like a mango smoothie, please”
I keep staring at his face, he’s more handsome than what I remember. He runs a hand through his blonde hair while he keeps smiling. It takes me a second to stop staring at him and place his order on the screen. I pick the glass and turn back to start making his smoothie.
I can feel someone’s eyes on me, so I turn back around. Unsurprisingly, he’s looking at me – unsurprisingly, I still feel myself jump when our gazes meet. I quickly turn back around, my heart at my throat.
I’m finishing pouring the mix into the blender when one of my coworkers comes next to me.
“He can’t keep his eyes off you, do you know him?” I hum.
“He’s so handsome, right?” my other coworker joins us. Awesome.
I rush to finish Felix’s order; I don’t want to explain why or how I know him.
I hand him his order and when I do, our hands touch. He smiles toothily.
“I was wondering, actually-,” something seems to get stuck on his throat and he coughs.
His freckles stand out against the blooming pink of his cheeks. He’s so cute it makes me a little light-headed - my heart races thinking that maybe I’m not the only one who’s nervous “would you like to go on a date with me?”
What?
“Oh-” I laugh nervously. Can I, for once, not turn into a ball of nerves? I take a deep breath, trying to calm down. “Yes, I would like to go on a date with you” I look down and notice that my apron has a dirty spot on it. Okay, well.
He hands me his phone with the contacts app open, and I add my number into his phone.
“I’ll text you, so that you can save my number back” and with that he goes to a table to drink his smoothie.
I smile at him and get back to serve the next costumer in line.
An hour later I see Felix leaving but I don’t even have time to say goodbye to him. Today seems like one of the busiest days we’ve had this week. I keep making smoothies until it’s close time.
Checking my phone on my way home I see that Felix has already texted me.
Felix: Hi :)
Felix: It’s Felix
I add his number back before replying.
Me: Hii!
Felix: are you still working?
Me: no! I’m omw home :)
Felix: nice!! Get home safely :)
I catch myself smiling at my phone. He’s so nice. I put my earphones on and listen to my favorite playlist on the way home. Once I arrive home, I say hello to Patches jr. and to my roommate. I go into the kitchen to bake something.
“Hey! You seem really happy today” my roommate hugs me. “Did something happen at work?”
I stay silent for a second, thinking about what to say. Should I lie right now? This thing feels too new - too fragile - to talk about. And frankly, I’m a little embarrassed ever since I saw how dumb my face looks when I think; let alone talk about Felix.
But he’s been my best friend since forever… I can’t make something up. He would know I’m lying right away.
“Are you going to tell me, or I will have to guess?” he looks at me without letting go of the hug.
“Mmm…” I grimace at myself. “Maybe I’ve met someone…”
He gasps.
“No!”
In the end, I tell him everything that has happened with Felix and how I feel about it. I really can’t keep anything from him, we tell each other everything. He’s the only one I can trust this much.
“So, you’re going on a date with him” he sounds more excited than me. “We need to get you the cutest outfit ASAP.”
“Chill, I still don’t know when or what are we going to do” I laugh at his excitement. “But if that means going shopping, it’s the perfect excuse”
The next morning, I wake up later than usual. I don’t have to go to work today so I decide to clean up the apartment. Since Jisung is working today I can blast my music to get myself in the mood of cleaning.
Two hours later I finish with everything and check my phone. To my surprise, Felix has texted me. I feel myself start to smile as soon as I see his name pop up on my screen - see? Disgusting.
Felix: about the date… when are you free?
Me: I’m free this Saturday! is that okay for you? :)
Felix: sure :)
Felix: I was thinking about going to Whisker of Expresso, what do you think?
I look up the place he’s suggesting for the date. Is a cat café!
Me: a cat café?! Sign me up!
We decide to meet there on Saturday. I should update Jisung on the plans and go out to buy that “cutest outfit” he kept mentioning last night.
The day of the date arrives, and I’m a ball of nerves. I’ve been getting ready for an hour now and I still can’t decide what to wear. Jisung and I went to the mall and bought more than one outfit option - which was a bad idea, because now I need to decide.
“I’m not going!” I say after the fourth outfit change.
Jisung rolls his eyes. “You looked amazing in the last outfit, and the one before that…” I shoot a death glare his way and go back inside my room.
Jisung prides himself in knowing me better than anyone else in the world - and he’s right. I suppose, though, that even best friends have their limits. I heave a sigh, pouting to myself a little.
My room is a mess of clothes right now (I can’t even see the bit of floor that separates my bed from the wardrobe). After a few more agonizing minutes, I decide that I’m going to wear a pair of bootcut jeans and a white, long sleeve top that has a heart cut out in the middle of it (the first outfit I tried on) (I hope Jisung is conveniently in the bathroom when I leave. He’s going to yell at me).
For my shoes I go with my favorite platform boots. And, of course, my tote bag.
I arrive at the cat café 10 minutes earlier than we’ve decided to meet and I decide to wait outside for Felix. I’m looking at my phone when I feel someone tap my shoulder.
“Hey!” I look up to find Felix right next to me. “You look really nice. I like your makeup.”
“Oh! Hi!” I smile at him “Thank you! You look good too” I return the compliment.
We head inside the café, and the first thing I notice inside is the beautiful decoration. Well, apart from the cats, obviously, but I feel like that one was a given. On the walls there’s film posters, but instead of the actors they’ve changed it to cats. The tables are small, and instead of chairs, people are sitting on soft-looking puffs, making it easier for the cats to approach them and hang out with them.
We walk to one of the tables and sit down on the puffs. As soon as we sit down, a cat approaches us.
“Oh, hello baby!” I immediately go to pet him. I spend a couple of minutes petting and “talking” to the cat.
“I’m starting to get a bit jealous” Felix says laughing.
“Sorry” I also laugh. “I really like cats”
“I was joking” he adds, still smiling a little. “I get it, I like them too. So, how was your day?”
We start having a small talk about our day while more cats approach us. After a couple of minutes, we get our coffees and the cake we’ve ordered.
“Wow, this velvet cake is amazing!”
“Cat and cake enthusiast?” he laughs. “If it’s that good, can I try it?” he takes a small bite when I nod.
“Oh, velvet cake has always been my favorite cake, it’s kind of my comfort cake” I confess “I bake it whenever I’m feeling sad”
“You bake?”
“Yes! I am in fact a certificated baker. My dream is to open my own bakery” I explain. “it’s been my dream since I was a child and I’m working hard to accomplish it”
“That’s so cool! You have to let me try one of your desserts sometime” he looks at me and we maintain eye contact for longer than I expected. I get so nervous I have to look down, petting the cat that has been sitting on my lap.
“Uh- yeah, of course!” I reply still looking at the cat.
Get yourself together.
“So, what do you do for a living?” I look back at him. When I do I see that he has his phone pointing at me. “What are you doing?” I laugh.
“Oh, you looked so cute while petting the cat that I had to take a photo” he shows me his phone. “I- I’ll delete. Sorry” he blushes.
“Oh! I do look good! Don’t delete” I laugh “but you have to send me the photo” I wink.
We keep looking at each other and I can’t help but look at his lips. This time I don’t look away and I lean closer to him. His hand comes close to my face, and he places a strand of my hair behind my ear. Then he starts caressing my cheek while he leans closer to me. So, I close the space between us, pressing our lips together. His other hand comes at my face, and I interlace my fingers behind his neck.
In that moment I knew this was the first of many dates.

Angel
quote: “The world has gone to shit and yet I still find the time to fall in love…”
synopsis: Angel is a 17 year old girl who has found herself in the 5th wave cinematic universe, where she meets Ben Parish/ Zombie and falls for him… slowly
“Alright 53! Look alive! We have a new squad member joining you. I trust you all to welcome her and get her accustomed to the regime. Remember, if she messes up it’s on you.” Reznik smiles sinisterly at the end. I immediately roll my eyes at him.
“Watch it Angel, you don’t want me to embarrass you in front of your new squad do you?” He says still smiling. I scoff at him-
“Yeah right Rezzy, any punishment you throw at me, we both know I can complete without breaking a sweat. You’re wasting your breath and time… Don’t you have a walkie talkie to answer?” I smirk at him, crossing my arms, standing my ground.
He growls lowly, “Just you wait Angel. The real world will be punishment enough for you.” With that he retreats, answering his walkie.
I turn around, smiling brightly at my new squad mates. “Sorry about that guys! I just like to get under his skin! My name’s Angel, what’re yours?”
At first the room is dead silent, understandable of course, I’m sure my change in attitude was a lot to comprehend, but I am who I am, and without my meds, you get me at my very best or at my very worst. I don’t do that weird middle ground, it’s boring, and quite frankly, a waste of time.
The first to introduce themselves was a little girl, probably around 7 or 8 years old.
“I’m Teacup! And did you just call St. Reznik, Rezzy?!” She practically screams.
I laugh. “I did, he absolutely hates it, so I wouldn’t do it if I were you, at least not in front of his face.” I whisper the last part to her.
“Wow! You’re so cool, not even Ringer gets on St Reznik’s bad side.” Teacup exclaims-
“Yeah because I don’t have a death wish, and I know better than to poke fun at the people trying to keep us alive” A black haired girl with pale skin and a lot of eyeliner walks up, crossing her arms, leaning on a nearby bunk.
“You really think they’re trying to keep us alive?” I ask, before she can answer, I jump in- “If you ask me, we’re just doing the hard work for them, while they get to sit in here all “safe and sound” while we, kids mind you, go out there and get shot to death by an enemy that looks exactly like us. Please tell me how they’re keeping us alive? If anything they’re the ones killing us.” I roll my eyes at her, crossing my arms to match her stance.
“Woah girls, come on. We’re on the same squad now, and we all have differing opinions, but all that matters is that we have each other’s backs when it really matters. Sorry about Ringer, she’s stubborn and doesn’t have a filter. I’m Zombie, squad leader of 53” A boy with tired eyes, probably 17, maybe 18 even, says with a permanent smirk placed on his face.
I stare at him for a second, his face so familiar to me, but I can’t quite place it in my mind. I would ask for his name, but I once had to stab a guy in the hand with a fork just because I had asked his real name and he freaked out. Now call me a lover girl or whatever, but Zombie is just too easy on the eyes for me to even think about stabbing him, plus he’s a peacemaker. UGH that’s just so cutey.
“Okay squad Dad. Ringer, I officially yield, it was wrong of me to take out my past traumas on you. I won’t apologize because I won’t mean it, but when I do. I’ll come find you first thing.” I salute to her with a grin. Her lips twitches ever so slightly, but she quickly hides it by nodding her head, and going back to her bunk.
“Squad Dad?” Zombie asks me. I laugh at him.
“Well you are kind of like the Dad in the situation, no?” “He chuckles a little, smiling.
“Yeah I guess, I just don’t want that to catch on with the little one” I look at him confused.
“Little one? Isn’t Teacup like 7 or 8?” His face changes a little.
“Oh no, not Teacup! I was talking about Nugget, sorry, here I’ll introduce you.” He grabs my wrist pulling me towards a bunk where a little curly haired boy seems to be trying to read a book.
“Nugget, stop practicing for a bit and meet our new squad mate, Angel!” The boy looks up, with innocent eyes wide, and my heart instantly stops.
“Titi?” He squeaks out.

What You Wish For: Chapter 18. Before the Dawn
It's taken three years to finally figure out this ending. Three years. Not out of a loss of muse or life getting too busy or forgetting about the story, no! But due to rewrite after rewrite after rewrite after rewrite! Ugh.
I warned you all in my first story, I’m terrible at endings. But at last, I think I’ve finally managed to stumble into a proper finale for this angsty beast.
To those who are still reading, I appreciate you more than I can say. And I apologize for the wait. Just know you weren’t forgotten, I’ve been working on this story the whole time. But I needed to find a resolution these poor brothers deserved that didn’t feel forced or overly “neat” (because nothing about grief is neat).
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The walls of the lair were eerily quiet. And there were a lot more shadows and random squeaks and squeals in the sewer at this hour. Perfect setting for a horror movie, Raph couldn’t help but think as he wandered through the empty lair. He wasn’t used to being awake so late. Normally when they got home from patrol he’d cool off with a quick work out, maybe a small snack, then put head to pillow and pass out immediately.
His routine had changed lately.
He had to do the rounds. Inform Splinter about events on patrol, check in on Mikey (he’d come home with a bad cold the other day and was taking full advantage of the pampering his illness allowed), and make sure Don actually slept for at least a few hours every night. All chores that had become his responsibility since Leo left three months ago to go on a mission with the Ancient One.
Three months without Leo.
It had been more of an adjustment than Raph expected. The first few days were no different than any of the other times he’d been away, and it was nice being the “responsible” sibling for a change. Made Raph feel important. Needed. But by the end of the second week, responsibility had become a hefty burden. Almost too much. Like weight training; the first few lifts are easy, but as you keep going, it gets heavier and heavier. And the weight of Leo’s absence was one he didn’t think he could carry for much longer.
Though, it wasn’t just the chores. If Raph was being honest with himself—only here, in the confines of his mind where no one else could hear—he would admit, he missed his brother’s presence. Didn’t miss getting bossed around or being coddled, but it was comforting having Leo nearby. On missions and at home. Having that sense of someone always being at your back was reassuring. Especially when it was someone like Leo who always seemed to have a solution for when things went wrong. Not to mention he was more entertaining to poke fun at than Mikey. And he certainly made for a good sparring partner.
Yeah, Raph liked having big brother around. Even if he was a pain in the ass.
He'd never say any of that out loud. But he would quietly think it the next time he saw their fearless leader.
Whenever that was.
Shaking the thought away, Raph continued on his rounds for the evening. He had one more chore for the night: make sure Donnie actually got some sleep. The egghead had been getting lost in another invention of his and ignoring his bed for several weeks. Raph had to force him to sleep for the past three days now. How Fearless ever dealt with this with any amount of patience was beyond him, but he channeled his best Leo impression and walked to Don’s door.
Low and behold, the tall turtle was still sitting at his desk.
Raph couldn’t help a quick roll of his eyes as he entered. “Don, how many times I gotta tell ya—” He cut himself off as soon as he got close enough to hear the light snore whistling through the room. A grin split his lips as he rounded his brother’s shell to see him passed out in his chair, arms pillowed under his head, a half-drained cup of coffee beside the keyboard, a pencil precariously balancing on his slack fingers, his purple mask half raised on his face so it only covered one eye, and a small trail of spit drooling down his chin. Probably fell asleep mid equation.
Raph shook his head. Why is it smart people never take their own advice; how many times had Don lectured them about the importance of sleep for both body and mind?
Taking a moment to snap a quick photo (for future blackmailing purposes of course) Raph debated whether it was worth waking the night owl to get him to a proper bed. He’d probably just start working again, and Raph was too tired for an argument tonight.
Don coughed lightly, shifting his head on his arm as his brow furrowed in his sleep. Was he getting sick, too? All these late nights with nothing but coffee and pizza to sustain him, it wouldn’t really be surprising. And it’s not like Mikey was careful about not spreading germs. Chancing a brush of his brother’s forehead, Raph felt a definitive heat radiating under his hand.
“Dammit, Donnie.” He mumbled to himself.
Deciding it was too risky to wake him, Raph stomped over to the bed and yanked the blanket away to drape it over Don in his chair. Guess he wasn’t going to sleep much tonight, he’d be up checking on his idiot-genius brother every few hours. Maybe he should go get the thermometer to make sure the fever wasn’t—
“Leo…” Don was mumbling in his sleep. His frown suddenly deepened, his face twisting into a pained grimace before his eyes shot open and his body spiked upright quick as a lightning strike. “LEO!”
“Whoa, whoa, easy Don.” Raph calmed, waiting until his brother’s eyes focused a little more before continuing. “You alright?”
“Yeah…” Don puffed a few rapid breaths as his mind finished separating reality from specter. “Just a bad dream.” He took a final long exhale, releasing the rest of the fear from his eyes. Almost. There were still a few remnants that Raph could see.
“’Bout Leo?” When Don looked at him with surprise he explained. “You were talkin’ in your sleep.” He looked almost embarrassed, especially as he wiped the drool from his face, but Raph was still curious. “Why are you havin’ nightmares about Leo? You know something I don’t?”
“No, no, it’s nothing like that.” Don waved off. “I just… you know…” At Raph’s curious cock of his brow, Don sighed. “It’s been a long time since he’s been away like this. I’m not used to not having him around. My mind keeps concocting new ways that his mission could be going wrong and the terrible things that could be happening to him. I know—” He cut Raph off before he could interject. “—it’s not likely. I know he’s probably fine. I guess… I guess I just miss him.”
Raph couldn’t object to that. Though a few things were starting to add up now. “Is that why you’ve been staying up and working on projects?”
Don nodded timidly. “It’s easier to ignore the irrational fears when I’m focused on a project. And it has the added benefit of keeping me from sleep and therefore keeping me from dreaming. But I guess even my body has it’s limits when it comes to sleep deprivation.” He looked at his half-filled cup of coffee. “I must have fallen asleep while working on—” He paused, turning to eye Raph curiously. “Wait… I know why I’m up, but what are you doing awake? And in my room? And—?” He finally took note of the blanket around his shoulders that certainly hadn’t been there when he fell asleep. A coy, affectionate, smile crawled across his lips as he turned to his brother. “Were you checking up on me?”
Raph folded his arms to hide the embarrassment of being caught being protective. “I was just making sure you and your bed were still on speaking terms.”
“Wow. That’s… That’s so—”
“If you say ‘sweet’ I’m gonna put you to sleep the old fashioned way.”
Don chuckled lightly, raising a hand in surrender when his brother cracked his knuckles. “I was going to say that’s very Leo of you.”
Huh. Raph wasn’t sure whether to take that as a compliment or an insult. Before he had a chance to make up his mind, Don started coughing again. It was worse than when he’d been asleep, it sounded wet and heavy. “That’s it Egg-Head, time for you to rest that big brain of yours.”
Don gave no protest, rubbing his temples as his eyes started to ache. “Yeah, maybe you’re right.”
Raph waited for his brother to actually get in bed and under the covers. “If I come back here in a few hours and find you at your desk again—”
Don raised his hand in surrender once more. “I know, I know. I’ll sleep, I promise.”
True to his word, when Raph returned ten minutes later to check in, he found Don fast asleep in his bed, no lights on or books nearby to indicate he’d tried to continue working. Good. Raph nodded his approval before heading for the kitchen. Staying up this late made him hungry.
Quietly as possible—so as not to wake the endless food-pit that was his youngest brother—he heated up some leftover pizza and headed for the couch in the living room. If he was going to be up checking on Donnie in a few hours, may as well stay awake with a movie or something instead of trying to sleep. And wouldn’t you know it, there was a Rocky marathon on TV. Perfect.
But it didn’t take long before exhaustion set in. Despite his many demands that his eyes remain open, he passed out before the end of the first movie.
His senses slowly came back to him as his eyes opened before he told them to. How long had he been out? Groggy as he was, it took a minute to realize he’d been covered with a blanket and the television had been turned off. Who had—
A noise come from the med bay. Raph looked at the clock and sighed heavily. Don must be up and about again. How many times did he have to be told that four hours a night wasn’t enough sleep?
Cursing aloud, Raph rubbed the lethargy from his eyes and forced himself to stand, sluggishly stomping toward the med bay. “Dammit Don, I swear I will smother you with a pillow if you don’t get your shell back in—” He stopped short as he entered the room and was greeted by a different sibling.
“You’re up early.”
“Leo!?” His excitement caught him off guard and he wasn’t able to catch the smile that split his lips. “When did you get home!?”
“About half an hour ago.”
“Well why didn’t you say any—” As he stepped closer, Raph noticed the needle and thread in his brother’s hand. His arm was bleeding.
Leo was quick to reassure. “It’s just a scratch.”
But his words fell on deaf ears. ‘Just a scratch’ with Leo could mean anything from an actual scratch to a fatal stab wound. The blood was coming from the back of his left arm, right near the shoulder. Twist as he may, the older turtle was clearly having trouble reaching it. Raph huffed and walked over, grabbing the needle and thread and sitting on the stool behind his brother. “I got it.”
First making sure the cut wasn’t actually life threatening, Raph cleaned it and began sewing small stitches as he’d seen Donnie do many a time. “So who’s the lucky SOB that actually managed to cut ya?”
“A giant lizard creature with a heavy battle axe and a real bad temper.”
Raph snorted a quick laugh. “You get to have all the fun.”
Leo quirked a smile. “How have things been here? The other two felt like they had fevers, are they sick?”
So big brother had already done the rounds and checked on everyone. That explained the blanket. “Mike’s on the mend, but I think Don’s caught it now. He’s been workin’ himself too hard.” With only a hint of accusation, Raph added. “He was worried about you. They both were.” From behind Raph couldn’t see his brother’s face, but the slight bow of his head meant the guilt was settling in. Good. He should feel bad. “You could have called.”
“Sorry.” Leo shrugged and reached behind his back to pull out his shell-cell, busted in at least three different places. “The Ancient One is great at many things, but fixing cell phones isn’t one of them.” He paused, glancing back at his brother over his shoulder. “Seems like you had everything under control though.”
“I don’t think you can use the word ‘control’ when Mikey’s involved.”
“I’m serious. I’m glad you were here. It’s…” He paused like he wasn’t sure he wanted to finish his thought, and when he spoke again his voice was much more somber. “It’s comforting to know you can handle things if something ever happened to me.”
That halted Raph in his tracks, his hands pausing as his eyes snapped up to his brother’s. “You in some kinda trouble that I should know about?”
“No.”
“Then what the shell is that kind of talk for?” It was putting Raph on edge and he didn’t like it.
Leo shook his head—humorously or in annoyance Raph couldn’t tell—and waved his brother off. “Just had a lot of time to think lately. That’s all. I was trying to pay you a compliment.”
“Well you suck at it.” But there was something his brother wasn’t saying, and Raph wasn’t sure he wanted to know what. With two more quick stitches, he cut the thread and placed a bandage over the wound. “Done.”
“Thanks.” Leo gave an experimental roll of his shoulder, testing the feel of it with stitches now in place. He gathered his weapons and headed for the door.
“Hey.” Raph waited till his brother’s shell was to him before speaking. “I got them.” Leo turned, eyeing Raph curiously as he continued. “Not that it’ll ever be necessary because we all know you’re harder to kill than a cockroach on steroids, but if it ever did—I mean if something ever happened—" He paused awkwardly, rolling his eyes at himself and this whole ridiculous conversation. “I got them.”
There was a long moment of silence, like Leo wasn’t sure how to reply, which only made Raph feel like more of an idiot. But his brother suddenly stretched his hand out expectantly, his eyes intensely serious. “Promise?”
Raph returned the look with one of his own, taking his brother’s hand with a good firm grip. “Yeah.”
And then Leo smiled and Raph had no idea why but it made him feel instantly proud of himself. How did he do that?
That was big brother for you.
A whine from down the hall snaked it’s way into the room, and both siblings easily recognized Mikey’s voice crying out for Raph. The red-banded turtle shrugged his shoulders emphatically and began walking away. “He’s your problem now, Fearless. Welcome home.”
Leo chuckled lightly. “No place like it.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It's been a year now since we buried him. A year since he was placed in that peaceful spot by the trees. A year since that rock became the last marker of his life.
Feels like decades. Feels like yesterday.
Being that this is our first "vacation" up here without him, we're all a little wary as we step out of the truck. It's not as heavy as it was when we came up to burry him, or when we visited six months ago after my run-in with Hun. But it still feels wrong.
Everything feels wrong without him.
I'm doing my best nowadays to not cause trouble, so I wait by the trailer and see what the others do. Mikey doesn't even hesitate, bounding over to the grave, shouting something about "saying hello" and pulling Don along with him. Splinter and April only smile as they follow, and Case shoots me a knowing shrug as he walks along with them.
I tell my legs to follow, but they suddenly feel like led.
It's not a big deal, it's just a grave. Ain't no different than talking to his picture back in the dojo.
But I... I can't move toward it.
Maybe it's talking to him around other people. Or talking to that cold stone instead of a picture. Or maybe it's knowing that his body is here, six feet under, decomposing and covered in worms and dirt and--STOP. I'm gonna make myself hurl if I don't change the subject.
A long, heavy sigh escapes me as I stare at the ground a moment longer.
Just a grave.
I force my legs to move.
By the time I'm finally able to meander over, Mikey is already yammering on about the drive up and everything that's been happening since that nightmare of a night. He says something about me, but I don't quite catch it. My focus is drawn elsewhere. One look at that stone, at the name etched in it, and I can feel old instincts returning. Old instincts to run from the pain. From the guilt. From everything.
Breathe through it. Splinter says to breathe and ground myself by remembering what I have to stay for.
I glance around at my family in front of me, eyeing each of them in turn and trying not to be distracted by the sadness that's sprinkled into their demeanor.
Running didn't solve anything. I ain't going down that road again. I couldn't do that to my family again. My eyes clock the name once—
A chill runs down my spine as I freeze in place, staring at the watery puddle of red that’s slowly crawling towards me.
Leo’s staring at his stomach. There’s blood dripping down his fingers.
“Leo—!"
“…M’Sorry.”
Suddenly I'm back on that roof, with the rain on my shell, the blood on my hands, and Leo's cold body laying still in my arms.
Panic rises with the instant intensity of an erupting volcano. My fingers curl into my palms and dig into my skin, my eyes snap shut--as if closing them will take away memory--and it's all I can do to hold my breath so I don't scream.
No. No, breathe. Sensei says breathe through it. Don't block it out, but don't let it take over. Just breathe.
"Raph?"
Damn. Mikey noticed. I open my eyes to see everyone staring at me with the same concern on their faces they've been suffocating me with all year. I'm glad they're here, I don't want to block them out like I did before, but damn what I wouldn't give to go a day—just one day!—without making them all look at me like that.
"You okay?" Mikey finally asks. "Was it something I said?"
"Just enjoying the fresh air." I breathe deep again, a little more dramatically to really sell my next quip. "Six hours in a windowless trailer with your B.O was making me dizzy."
That seems to abate their worry. When in doubt, insult Mikey. Works every time.
"Why don't I go make us some dinner?" Casey changes the subject abruptly. "I've been itchin' to use the barbecue out here, it makes the best hot dogs you ever ate!"
"No pizza?"
"There are other foods, Mikey." April adds with a twinge of a giggle.
The conversation drifts off as they all head back to the cabin, leaving only me and Don at the grave.
I cast a glance at my younger brother, watching closely as he kneels before the stone. There’s a somberness in his movements that goes beyond grief, stretching to something dangerously close to guilt. I should know.
"Leo..." He kneels down and looks at the stone, running his hand along the carved katakana.
He's still grieving. I mean, we all are, but Don most of all. He's been so busy worrying about everyone else--about me, mostly--I think he's forgotten to deal with his own pain.
Sounds like another brother I know.
"You okay?" He asks as he stands up, looking me over like he's trying to get a bead on where my head is at.
I fold my arms in front of me and meet his eyes with a stern look of my own. "Yeah. You?"
"Just tired from the trip." He's a terrible liar. "Are you coming inside?"
"Not yet."
He pauses, worry jumping into his features faster than a lightning strike. "You want some company? I don't mind staying out a bit longer."
"Nah." I try to sound as casual as I can. "You better go inside and make sure Case doesn't set the joint on fire." He remains still, flitting between looking at me and the grave, clearly unconvinced I'm as chill as I say. So I make eye contact and add emphatically, "I'm fine, Don. Just got a few things I want to say. Alone."
That was what he needed. "Okay." He's still reluctant, but he heads towards the house.
Shit, I should say--"Don," He stops far too quickly, like he was hoping for me to ask him to stay. I don't turn to look at him, but I make sure he can hear me. "I'm... I'm here for you too, you know. If you need to talk... or something... I'm here."
I can almost hear the smile that creeps across his face at my bumbling attempt to comfort, but before he walks away I hear a surprisingly sincere "thanks Raph" roll over his shoulder.
Well, I said something. No idea if he'll actually follow through, but I guess so long as he knows... that's enough, right?
I sigh heavily again.
I’ll check in with him later.
~*~*~*~*~*~
“Slowly. Take it slowly. One step at a time.”
I breathe deep, tapping down the annoyance flaring in my chest as I focus on my slow and pitiful walk up the stairs. I know Don’s just worried I’ll push too hard and tear my stiches open, but he’s got to realize how condescending he’s being.
Not that I’ll say anything about it. I ain’t got no right. Not after what I put him through. All of ‘em.
“You sure you don’t want someone to carry you? Casey’d probably do it if you asked.”
I might have actually cracked a smile at that one if Mike’s voice didn’t sound so forcefully happy. He’s afraid he’ll say something that’ll make me run off again. Can’t blame him.
My side burns as I make the third step, but my grimace isn’t from the pain.
I hate this. They’re so worried about losing me, they don’t see it anymore. Don’t see my guilt. Don’t see my shame. Too worried about keeping me healthy or making me smile.
And I don’t deserve any of it.
I keep trying to tell them. For five days now I’ve spent every waking minute trying to work up the courage to tell ‘em the truth. Tell ‘em what really happened.
Tell ‘em why our brother is dead.
But I can’t do it. The thought of Mikey’s eyes filled with hurt and hatred, the memory of Don screaming at me in pained anger… I just can’t do it. I can’t hurt them anymore.
I can’t lose them. They deserve to know but—
“Dee, he’s bleeding!”
I don’t even get the chance to register Mike’s words before Don is examining my side and stopping my march up the stairs.
“He popped a stitch. See, I told you it was too soon to be moving! It’s only been five days, you should be bed-ridden for at least another nine! Come on, let’s get you back in—”
“Donatello, calm.”
Sensei mercifully steps in.
“It is only one stitch. Your brother will be more comfortable—and therefore more likely to rest—in his own bed. It is not much farther.”
“But—”
“We’re basically half way there, Dee. It’d take just as long to go back.”
I wait as patiently as I can as the three talk, keeping my mouth shut on the matter. I’d prefer my own bed, sure. But I ain’t gonna kick up a fuss about it.
“Fine. Just—”
“Slow. He’s got it, Dee.”
I see Don shoot Mikey an annoyed glare, which makes him grin. A real grin.
It’s almost like it’s possible for things to get back to normal around here.
By the time we finally make it up the stairs, I’m already exhausted. Donnie was right, my body ain’t ready for movement yet. I only make it a few more feet before I need to take a break and catch my breath. Don doesn’t miss a beat.
“See, he’s already tired. He shouldn’t be up and moving yet!”
“Dude, we’re like five feet from his room. I think he can make it five feet.”
They continue to squabble and I’m losing patience by the second. But just as I’m about to butt in, my eye catches sight of the door we’re stopped in front of. Perfectly made bed, books alphabetized and orderly, and the smell of incense drifting through the air.
Leo’s room. Exactly as he left it. They haven’t touched a thing…
“Raphael.”
Sensei’s gentle voice catches the attention of my brothers, and I assume they notice the room too because everyone is suddenly silent. Solemn. Still.
Leo…
“Come on.” Don clears his throat as he touches my shell. “Almost there.”
No one says another word.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Alone in the grass at last, I take a moment to look at the sunset. It ain't no New York skyline, but it sure ain't ugly either. I suppose I can see the merit in watching a good sunset across the trees.
Leo always preferred sunrises, I think. He liked the fresh start of a new day.
I close my eyes and enjoy the fresh air around me, but it isn’t long before my gaze is pulled back to that grave. To that name that I’ll probably never be able to say without a sharp twinge in my chest.
“Leo...”
I breathe out the pain like stretching a sore muscle and try again to settle myself. I shouldn’t just stand here, they’ll worry.
“There’s… there’s some stuff I want to say. Stuff I… I probably should’ve said when you were…”
The past tense pulls me up short. I hate talking about him like he’s gone. It makes it all too real.
But it is real. And I need to start accepting that.
Just gotta say it and get it over with. “Look… I just want you to know that… that I don’t hate you. I could never. You pissed me off sometimes—a lot of the time—but it’s only because I hated that you never trusted me to take care of myself. I hated that you felt I wasn’t enough on my own. And more than anything I hated…” I don’t know who this is harder to admit to, him or me. “I hated that I could never be like you. I was never gonna be Sensei’s perfect student, or the ancient one’s protégé, or even the guy that Mikey and Donnie look up to. It made me feel inadequate. Like I wasn’t good enough. But it never meant that I hated you. I shouldn’t have—"
“I don’t need anything! I don’t need your orders! I don’t need your leadership! I DON’T NEED YOU!”
I shake my head and try to let the memory roll off my shell. This moment isn’t about my guilt, I got the rest of my life to wrestle with that. This is about saying what I never did. About telling him the truth.
“I love you, Leo. You were… are… a good leader. And an even better brother. And I…” Tears are stinging the edge of my eyes as an ache sits on my chest and makes it difficult to breathe. “I miss you. A lot. I—”
“Tell them…”
No. No, we ain’t doin’ this now! “Leo—!”
“…M’Sorry.” He whispers something haltingly with the last of his breath but I’m panicking too much to really let it sink it.
Dammit, dammit, dammit!
“Don’t you—” But his eyes close and his hand falls to the ground and I realize it wasn’t his hand that was shaking, it was mine. The rain seems to freeze in it’s downpour as suddenly everything goes completely silent. Still.
Empty.
I feel the last of his breath escape through my hands on his stomach and the ache in my chest turns to intense pain. I close my eyes to it, focusing on calming the quake of my legs, but the memory floods my every sense without warrant.
A chill runs down my spine as I freeze in place, staring at the watery puddle of red that’s slowly crawling towards me. For a minute, my vision blurs. Everything seems to shut down as I slowly look up, tracking the blood to it’s source.
Leo’s staring down at his hand by his stomach, eyes wide.
There’s blood dripping down his fingers.
It can’t be… there’s no way… “Leo?”
“Leonardo!”
Dammit! Breathe. Just breathe through it. Don’t stop the pain but don’t let it take over.
I give in to the shaking of my legs and fall to a knee, clenching my fists tighter and sucking in a deep gulp of air to steady myself. When I finally find any measure of control, I reach forward and touch the stone as reverently as I know how, my face intensely serious. I want him to know I mean this. “I know I’m the one who caused this, but I ain’t gonna be selfish anymore. I made you a promise, and I ain’t gonna break it. Ever.”
The conversation bubbles to the surface, mercifully pushing aside all other memories for the moment. I cling to the reprieve as I swear my oath. “I got them. Mikey, Don, Sensei, all of them. I got them.”
And then Leo smiled and Raph had no idea why but it made him feel instantly proud of himself. How did he do that?
That was big brother for you.
The memory of his smile brings one to my face, albeit sad and full of regret. But it gives me the strength to speak again. To say something I’m not sure I feel yet, but I want him to know. “Thanks… for saving my ass back there. I owe you one.”
I choke on the last words and give in to the tears, letting myself grieve openly for the first time in a while. My hand stays on the grave, finding a small measure of connection to my brother that I cling to with fervor.
Damn, I miss him.
I wish he was—
“I wish you were here, Leo. I wish I hadn’t run off that night. I wish I’d seen the sniper or noticed the trap or stopped the bleeding. I wish you were—”
“Still here...”
The voice floats around me, nothing but a whisper outside my peripheral. It always will be from now on. A piece of my brother that’ll always remain just out of sight. Out of reach.
But still there. Always.
I close my eyes and let his voice surround me, let his presence—faint as it is—comfort the way only Leo knows how. The way only big brother can. He lends me his strength and I accept hungrily.
Then I square my shoulders, wipe my eyes of any trace of tears, and stand. Time to step up.
“Thanks Fearless.”
The wind kicks up and blows leaves against my shoulder and I swear it feels like Leo’s signature shoulder-pat.
I smile.
I take one more long look at that name in the stone, let myself feel the weight of it on my shoulders, and then turn back to the house. Just in time too. Mikey comes boundin’ out the door shoutin’ something about turtle speed stereotypes that gets a humorous head shake from Don who emerges behind him.
We’ll be okay. For the first time in a year, I’m positive we’re gonna be okay. Not the same. Not ever. But okay. And that’s enough for me.
“Raph! Come ooooooooon!”
I sigh, hiding the smirk that tugs at my lips from hearing Mikey whine like a child. “Keep yer shell on, I’m comin’.”
I take a moment, looking at my family as they gather around the BBQ with smiles on their faces, and feel my oath etch itself into my very soul.
“Raph, don’t… shut them out. They’ll need…”
I got them, Leo. I swear.
I got them.

Previous < - > Epilogue 1
And at last, it is done. Holy cheeseballs.
This story has consumed me for years now. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much trouble and this much excitement in equal measure while writing.
Technically there’s still an epilogue (or two) of sorts to come, but they’re more connected tangentially than a continuation of the story.
I hope this short ending was worth the wait (even if half of it was a random flashback). Let me know what you think.
End of Line.

Sailor Moon: Reignstorm - Chapter 4: Moon Spectrum Power
Usagi and her friends had decided to stop by the Bob-Floy Ice Cream Shoppe on their way home from school, with Rei, Luna and Artemis joining them along the way. The cats found their usual spots on Usagi and Minako’s shoulders before the girls went up to order. With ice cream in hand the girls started to make their way to the Hikawa Shrine for another study session.
“You’d better have that finished before we get there, Usagi.” Rei said, “I don’t need a repeat of what happened the last time you brought ice cream into my room.”
“Hey, that’s not fair!” The bun-headed girl said in response, “Mina made a mess too!”
“Yeah, but I’m Rei’s favorite, so I get a pass.” Minako said, slinging her arm around her raven-haired friend’s shoulders.
“You wish.” Rei responded with a light blush, but without making an effort to remove her friend’s arm.
Ami and Makoto walked behind them, holding their ice cream in one hand and their partner’s hand in the other. Even after they had been together for almost three months, every time Usagi saw the two of them do normal couple things it filled her with joy. She had watched Ami pine after Mako for as long as she could remember, and had begun to worry that Ami would never tell her how she felt. Especially when she thought she lost them during the Galaxia incident. After they came back Usagi strongly considered just locking them in a room together until it was resolved, but ultimately decided against it. She figured it would be best to give them some time to process what had happened to them before forcing something like that. But she swore that if it went on much longer she would’ve been forced to take action.
Although now there seemed to be something going on between Rei and Mina, which was a whole other thing. Originally Usagi just assumed that Mina flirting with Rei was no different than her flirting with… well, everyone. But now she could see why Rei had felt the need to ask her about it. There was definitely something different with how the two of them were acting.
“Oh, by the way, how did your audition go?” Rei asked, referring to the audition Minako had attended to perform at a local club.
“About as well as I expected.” The Guardian of Beauty said, shrugging her shoulders, “They said they’d call me but… I dunno, I really don’t wanna get my hopes up.”
“Aw, c’mon, give yourself some credit. I’m sure you’ll get it.” Rei said with a smile.
“Rei’s right! In fact, I bet we could already celebrate you getting it by going to see a movie before we go to the shrine!” Usagi said, clearly attempting to get out of work.
“No way, Usagi!” Ami rebuked, “We’ve been taking it way too easy lately. I only got a ninety-one on my last English test!”
“Babe, you know that’s not bad right?” Makoto said before taking another bite of her ice cream.
“I mean… It's not great.” Ami replied.
“Ami, do you have any idea what I would give to get a ninety-one on a test?” Usagi shot back.
“You wouldn’t have to give anything if you would just study.” Luna said snarkily.
“Exactly!” Ami agreed, “Which is why we can see a movie later!”
“Ugh, fine!” Usagi finally caved.
Suddenly, the Guardians felt a shift in the atmosphere, and watched as the sky above them went dark, covered in an inky, black shadow.
“What the-” Usagi began to ask before she was cut off by a large object falling from the sky and impacting down the street from the girls.
When the dust settled the team was shocked by what they saw. It was seemingly the Makai tree but… wrong. It was roughly the same size as they remembered, but its bark was jet black, with red leaves coming out of its branches. Branches that were currently flailing around and destroying the city, as it moved around on its roots, which seemed to function almost like tentacles.
Floating in front of the Makai Tree were two figures who Usagi immediately recognized: Ail and An. The team quickly ducked into a nearby alley to transform unseen.
“Well, it’s been a minute, ready girls?” Minako asked, to which the others simply nodded in reply.
“Venus Crystal Power!”
“Jupiter Crystal Power!”
“Mars Crystal Power!”
“Mercury Crystal Power!”
“Moon Eternal!”
“MAKE UP!” The five girls shouted in unison, the alley filling with light and energy as they transformed. When it died down, however, it was clear that there was a problem.
Usagi hadn’t transformed.
“What?!” She asked, looking down at herself, “I said, Moon Eternal MAKE UP!”
Nothing.
“I don’t understand.” Usagi said, ripping the Eternal Moon Article off of her uniform and looking down at it. Nothing seemed wrong with it. So why wasn’t it working?
“You hang back with Luna and Artemis and try to figure that out.” Venus instructed, “The rest of you, let’s move!”
Usagi watched helplessly as her friends ran off to fight. She decided it would be best to get to higher ground, so she began quickly making her way up the fire escape in the alley.
“Usagi, what are you doing?” Artemis asked.
“I don’t know!” Usagi blurted out.
She made it to the roof and looked out to see her friends fighting. They were holding their own, but it was clear they were outclassed. She looked down again at the Article.
“C’mon, I need you to work!”
…
“Jupiter Oak Evolution!” Jupiter shouted as she attempted to attack the raging Makai Tree. Unfortunately, her attack failed to leave so much as a mark on the tree’s body, “Damn, this thing’s tough.”
Meanwhile Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus had engaged Ail and An, but were struggling to get close to them due to their telekinetic powers.
“So what gives? I thought you guys turned good?” Venus questioned while dodging an attack from Ail.
“Good, bad, does it really matter?” An said, launching an energy attack at Mars, which the Guardian of Fire barely managed to avoid.
“Uh, yeah, I would say it does!” Mars said, “Fire Soul Bird!” She shouted as a large bird made of fire erupted from her body and towards An, who effortlessly repelled it with a psychic shield.
Mercury had hung back and was using her computer to analyze their opponents, “This doesn’t make any sense! They’re significantly stronger than last time! And this energy they’re giving off… it couldn’t be…”
“Mercury look out!” She heard Jupiter cry from across the battlefield, prompting her to just barely avoid being crushed by one of the tree’s roots.
“Uh, guys, not to be a spoil sport but I don’t think we’re winning here!” Jupiter said sarcastically while launching another bolt of lightning towards the Makai Tree, which once again had no effect.
“Yeah thanks Jupiter I got that!” Venus said as another of her attacks bounced off of Ail’s psychic shield.
…
“C’mon, work dammit!” Usagi shouted as she shook the Article in her hands, “This is a really bad time for… whatever this is!”
Suddenly, cracks started to form in the Article, and it all but exploded in Usagi’s hands before the newly freed Silver Crystal floated up in front of her face.
“What…?” Was all she could manage to say.
The crystal started flashing different colors in front of her.
Blue.
Red.
Green.
Orange.
Navy.
Sea Green.
Garnet.
Purple.
Pink.
The color sequence repeated, faster and faster each time.
Blue, Red, Green, Orange, Navy, Sea Green, Garnet, Purple, Pink.
Blue, Red, Green, Orange, Navy, Sea Green, Garnet, Purple, Pink.
Blue, Red, Green, Orange, Navy, Sea Green, Garnet, Purple, Pink.
Until finally, a new object formed around the crystal. Floating in the air in front of Usagi was a silver compact, with a large pink crystal in the center, with eight smaller, different colored crystals surrounding it.
“Usagi, that-”
“I know, Luna.” She said, grabbing the compact out of the air in front of her and affixing it to the bow on her school uniform, “Alright, let’s do this.” She said with a small smirk before raising her hand into the air.
“Moon Spectrum Power! MAKE UP!”
With that, Usagi exploded into a series of multicolored lights, before ultimately emerging as another new incarnation of Sailor Moon.
Her skirt was white with a pattern on the front which included nine different colored lines. Both her gloves and boots were now white, the shoulder frills which she had on her fuku as Super Sailor Moon had returned, along with her tiara. The tiara was no longer gold, however, but instead silver.
From her transformation four beams of light shot out and impacted her friends, altering their appearances as well. Their skirts were now multi-layered, as hers had been when she was Eternal Sailor Moon, each layer having a different shade of their respective color. They also gained bubbles on their shoulders, as well as knee-high, white boots.
The Sailor team looked up to see Usagi floating above them, utilizing a pair of butterfly wings which appeared to be made of some kind of rainbow energy.
“Sailor Guardians! You guys take Ail and An!” She instructed from above, “Leave this overgrown weed to me.” She finished, tightening her gloves.
--
So, I have a couple things I should say here:
First, yes Mako bites her ice cream (aka eats it the right way) deal with it.
Second, I don't have a lot of experience writing fight scenes, so if they come off as a little weak, that's probably why.
Third, this is probably one of the more self-indulgent aspects of this fic as I... HATE Sailor Moon's Eternal form. I always wished they had done more to incorporate some of the design elements of Sailor Cosmos as opposed to... whatever they were going for with Eternal, and thus I tried to do that with "Spectrum" Sailor Moon (Having more white on the costume, using Cosmos's skirt design, etc.) I do like the Eternal Forms of the other guardians though and the 90s anime cheated us out of seeing those, so I decided to incorporate them as well. Like I said, this element of the story was very self-indulgent.
NEXT TIME: Sailor Moon discovers the new abilities which come with her new transformation! The Inner Guardians vs Ail and An! And our mysterious masked villain finally makes the scene!
Until then, let me know what you all think! Comments, likes, reblogs, etc. are very much appreciated!
And come back next time for Chapter 5: Enter Reign.

⏰ Argumi + when he was first realizing his psionics?
A troll's fourth wriggling day isn't especially important, all things considered, but it's still at least momentous for being a time where most people are finally getting their bearings and forming their first memories. It is a time when, for many trolls, their powers finally come into existence (if they had not already) as their minds mature enough to unlock their hidden potential.
Argumi's wriggling day party was going to be great, he just knew it. He had invited a bunch of his friends to come hang out with him at the park. He was still too young to bake, but he had saved up enough of his allowance to get a nice cake for everyone to share. He waited happily at the picnic table, dressed in his best funny t-shirt (it had a picture of a stick figure pointing to a sign which read 'Bad', beneath which was written "Well that's not a good sign") while his lusus observed from above a nearby swingset.
The custodian knew enough to keep its distance, but Argumi was still happy to have it in attendance. The bird's eyes swung back and forth across the park as the guests started to arrive, a mixture of lower-rung castes that Argumi had run into outside of schoolfeeding hours. Argumi eagerly accepted any gifts offered to him, talking excitedly with his friends while waiting for the last of them to arrive. Once it they had, he quickly got the cake from his fetch modus and placed the pre-baked good on top of the bench.
His wish for this sweep was an easy one, of course. He wished the next one would be even better than the last one! The candles burning atop the cake he politely snuffed out not by himself (with spit) but with a little miniature fan he had brought with him. Some of his friends joked that he couldn't possibly get his wish doing it that way, but he preferred not to accidentally make some of his friends sick.
"What a dork. Who even buys miniature fans?"
Argumi blinked, smile faltering slightly as he looked around. Everybody was looking expectantly at him to cut the-
"-Cake! When is he gonna cut the cake? Oh man, I'm so hungry..."
One of his hands clutched his stomach as pangs of hunger suddenly ran through him, and the other hand went for the knife. Right. He needed to cut the cake. He was hungry. Of course he was.
Above him, his lusus's eyes turned towards him as it cocked its head.
He began cutting the cake into roughly equal slices-
"Ugh, I just know I'll get a small piece. He's not cutting them right!"
"C'mon, c'mon, hurry it up, man!"
"I really hate math, god, there's a test tomorrow too... Boring..."
His grip fumbled on the knife as his smile fell into a frown, but he still forced himself to keep going. He didn't have a math test coming up, did he? His lusus would have mentioned it, so why was he...? He shook his head, putting the slices of the chocolate confection onto disposable paper plates. Yet, no matter how many slices he handed out, the thoughts, and the feelings, didn't stop coming.
He sank into his own seat, head in his hands as he felt like at least twenty brains of thoughts were being jammed through his lonely single one. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to calm down- and was immediately hampered as his mood swung between content, to giddy, to excited, to bored, back to content, then generally happy-
"Are you okay?" someone asked, putting a hand to his shoulder. Argumi opened his eyes, looking into the face of the troll concerned for him.
"What a little weirdo. At least he's the funny kind of weirdo."
Argumi's face froze. "What did you say?" he asked haltingly.
"I asked if you're okay? You're looking pretty out of it," they repeated, frowning.
"Man, he better not be sick. I do not need him giving me something. I just got over the flu last week!"
Panic began to spread through his chest, squeezing Argumi's heart tightly as the thoughts seemed to come spinning through faster and faster. His eyes began to bulge, his palms grew sweaty even as the nerves in his arms and all over his body felt like they were on fire.
There was a shriek in the air, and something else swooped down next to him. Argumi squeezed his eyes shut again as tears welled up in them, while his lusus continued to shriek and scream at all the guests until they fled in confusion. After several minutes of calm, Argumi was able to open his eyes again.
He saw his lusus, watching him with concern, and otherwise no one else. He was entirely alone. His gaze blankly shifted to the table in front of him.
Someone had stolen the rest of the cake on their way out.
"I hope he's not hungry anymore..." Argumi said softly, without really thinking about it.

Pt 1 | Pt 2
You wish you could distract yourself with the architecture of the hall. The polished white stone arches, rich blue drapes that hung from the tops of the towering windows; the carved grotesques that hid in the frames of the walls, staring at the visitors from their hiding spots. You knew it all, and have counted the right angles, doorways, tiles and curtains many times over. You wish you could do it again, but a wailing jester, crawling by your feet as he played the mandolin, wouldn't let your attention stray from his checkered black and blue motley and jingling bells.
Oddly enough, part of you couldn't look away, as the horrific realisation that the fool had colour coded himself to match your decorations and dress for your birthday. The only other person out of hundreds in the room to do so.
Huffing, you wait for the next moment that the jester turns away to the crowd at the other side of the room to slip between the bodies of the castle attendants and make your way into the nearby hallway.
“Princess? You should be inside.” On the other side of the double doors is one of the knights, pressed uniform fitted perfectly with a guard dog at their side.
“Oh, Dame Celine. I didn’t know you were on post tonight.”
The knight shrugged, making the ribbons on her uniform sway. “Sir Charles got sick; apparently, he’s allergic to dog fur. So little Clementine here is on watch with me tonight.” Celine lifts the leash to gesture towards the fluffy Akita, who stares down the hall with fierce determination and readiness to run.
Hearing the jester’s mandolin through the door along with guests' laughter, you sigh and move to sit on the polished floor in front of the dog, dress puffing up like cupcake icing. Lifting your hands, you immediately grab the hound by the cheeks and begin to scratch through her thick fur,
“Has anything been happening with the lookouts lately?” There's another roar of muted laughter through the door, and you give Celine a pleading look to start talking.
“There's been some worries. The dogs don’t seem to be a bit agitated, but sadly we haven’t enough evidence of anything to really raise any alarms.”
“That’s more calm than normal.”
“Surprisingly so. With your birthday, I believe most people assume there are more guards on posts, so a slimmer chance that they would be able to achieve anything.” Celine shrugs and watches as Clementine finally melts into your hands and rests her head on your knees, making you coo. “She’s a suck-up.”
“Oh, I don’t mind a little drool. How could anyone resist such a cute face?”
“Many, the palace dogs are very protective. I’ve lost count of how many people they’ve chased off the grounds...Or rather taken to the ground.” Despite Celine's cautionary story, Clementine rolls onto her back, with her tongue lolling out and paws relaxed in the air. You immediately jump on the canine, placing dark cool-toned kiss marks around her muzzle while rubbing her belly.
“Oh, yes, you’re so cute. Yes, you are!”
“If anyone but the knights saw you like this, they'd think you’re insane.”
“They think I’m some kingdom sweetheart. If anyone saw me like this, they’d think I managed to tame the castle beasts! And honestly, that would probably only cause you more trouble.”
“Well, you better not let anyone see you then.”
“Why do you think I'm hiding?”
Celine shrugged. “Oh, it could be a few things. For one, the jester.”
“Ugh.”
“So the Jester.”
“He’s entertaining, but I’m so tired of laughing at everything he does. My dad is killing himself trying to keep it together but won’t make a sound. I’m just so tired.” You bury your head into the dog's stomach, but without your scratches, she seems less willing to lay about and rolls back onto her paws, knocking your head back.
“Well, you may want to get going and find a more secluded place to hide.”
“Why?” you whined at the guard from the floor.
Tapping her ear, Celine grins. “Bells. The jester must have seen you sneak off.”
You gather your skirt and run down the hall, shoes squeaking, skidding, and sliding against the slippery floor. Sadly, you can’t reach the hall’s bend before Clementine barks furiously at a collection of ringing bells. You dive through one of the doors, landing into one of the many studies that staff often go to to do paperwork. Luckily, no one is inside otherwise, they would have been greeted with a sizeable poofy dress crashing into the floor and groaning in pain.
Wallowing and rubbing your bruised elbows wasn’t something you could enjoy for long. Quicker as you had managed to hide, Clementine sprinted down the hall and followed you into the study, motley hat with bells clutched in her jaw. You squeak and crawl along the floor to duck behind the desk. Your dress tugs beneath your knees, nearly smacking your face against the floor. But, you manage, slipping behind the wood just in time for the jester to appear in the doorway.
“You think you’re so clever, huh pooch? Okay, come here. I need that hat.”
As his footsteps shift, the dog's paws shuffle, tipping along the floor and further into the room. Your breath hitches, and you catch it, holding it with your lungs full. It felt like you were going to pop. Shuffling beneath the desk, you hug your knees, trying to make yourself as small as possible and hide in the dark shadows.
Clementine walks into your line of sight, tail wagging happily.
“Clementine. Drop it.” Celine had come to the rescue. Somewhat.
While Clementine knew her orders well, she had already entered your space and given you away. Giving you one last happy jump, the Akita drops the cap’n’bells onto your toes and prances away towards Celine.
The Jester, however, scrambles at the opportunity. The extra bells on his suit jingle, and he falls to the floor, crawling slightly to reach for his hat under the desk.
You’re feeling light-headed at this point. The air in your lungs has gone bad and the need to breathe is strong. But you’re so close, almost free from being noticed.
“Huff,” You breathe.
The jester freezes, bells ceasing their jingling and he looks up at you through the dark. “Princess?” He's about to straighten up but with one hand on a layer of your skirt, he slips against the floor, smashing his head against your knee.
“Pfft,” you snort.
“Princess. What are you doing here?” He’s about to straighten up when you grip the edge of the wooden desk, making his head slam into the back of your hands instead of the sharp wood.
You peek around your arm. The Jester’s hair is scruffled from wearing his hat, pupils wide as he tries to see in the dark.
“Um. Hiding?” He grabs your hands from the desk, gently taking them off the desk and holding them kindly. “Uh.”
“It’s your birthday. You should be enjoying it.”
You continue to stare at his hands holding yours. “I believe I’ve enjoyed it plenty, thank you.”
“Was my performance not adequate?”
“Do you wish for my honesty, or a sugared response?”
His hands grip yours tighter. “You didn’t enjoy my performance? But I am here by request.”
“By the King’s request. He finds you quite entertaining.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“And you?”
You pause. “I much prefer your blunders. They’re more… authentic.”
“I see,” the jester lets go of your hands, sulking into his spine. “So you don’t love me like I love you.”
“Where the fuck did you get that idea from?!”
The jester gasps. “Your Royal Highness. You swear?!”
You just stare at him blankly, mouth agape. “I’m exhausted of this.” Kicking your legs out, you pat down your skirt and lean your head against the inside of the front wall of the desk. You sigh.
“Princess?”
“Please, just call me by my name. I’m tired.”
“Then you should call me Kenji.”
“Nice to meet you, Kenji.” You grin. “Now, do you have other talents besides being a fool?”
He shrugs. “I don’t know, It is my job.”
“Do you do anything else besides your job?”
Kenji pauses momentarily, staring into the dark with what looks like a horrified expression on his face. He sucks in a breath and grimaces, “No comment. Do you do anything besides being a royal?”
“Um…” You have to do all the things your parents don’t want to do. “Not really.”
“Quite the pair we are.”
“So long as you don’t make a satirical song about me, we’re all good.”
“Just don’t fire me.”
“Deal.”
You sit in silence for a few moments, “And please don’t suddenly confess your love again. There's not enough merit to that confession.”
He curls. “Okay.”
Wanna nap. This is shitty. -Bacon

“Ugh…fucking insomnia…” I mumbled, rolling over in bed for the millionth time. “I cannot sleep.” “Well…” Enmu smiled deviously. “I can help with that-“ “No, that won’t be necessary.” I quickly interrupted him. “Aww, why not? You want to sleep, don’t you?” “Hard pass, Enmu, I don’t trust you not to give me nightmares.” I insisted, a smirk tugging at the corner of my lips.
“I don’t even have to,” he replied. “Your subconscious seems to have an unlimited supply. But tell me, why are they always so…agonising around Christmastime?”
[Warning: grief, pet loss, trauma, death, brief mention of abuse]
I felt a lump form in my throat hearing those words. “I just miss my bearded dragon…” I whispered sadly. “I miss her so much. I wish she’d lived longer, Enmu. We should’ve been able to spend more time together…” “Oh, there there, darling. I…I didn’t mean to invoke unpleasant memories.” Enmu’s demeanour immediately changed. His soft hands gently wrapped around me, rubbing my shoulders in a comforting gesture.
“Shhh, it’s alright. I’m sorry you had to go through that. Especially around this time of year. It must feel very lonely.” All I could do was nod weakly as I hugged him. “Darling, would a sweet dream tonight help you?” Enmu asked sincerely. “I can do that for you. And you won’t feel any lingering pain when you awaken. How does that sound?”
I mulled it over for a minute. “You promise not to turn it into a nightmare?” “Of course. You’ve already had more than enough of those to deal with. It’s about time for a little change of pace, don’t you agree? Now, my sweet boy needs his beauty rest and some peaceful, happy dreams.”
Hearing him say that made me realise just how tired I was. A long yawn escaped my mouth as I curled up in bed. “There we go, just get nice and comfy for me,” Enmu smiled. “You’re going to have such a wonderful dream.”
With a wave of his hand and a gentle whisper, I felt sleep envelope me…
I found myself in a beautiful room with a gothic aesthetic. A light rain pattered gently outside the window and the vinyl flooring was pleasantly cool beneath my feet. Taking in my surroundings, I heard a sort of scuttling noise, like someone tapping rapidly on a glass panel. My heart skipped a beat. A smile spread across my face. I’d heard that beautiful sound before.
Turning around, I saw a large terrarium, illuminated by a golden light. Resting on a ledge of rock with her little claws pressed against the glass sliding door was my sweet stumpy-tailed friend. Her orange, samosa-shaped head turned to look at me and she gave me a little wave.
Tears of joy filled my eyes as I opened the door to the terrarium. “Oh, Paprika! Is it really you?” She practically jumped into my arms and I held her close as if she was my own child. “Paprika, I’ve missed you so…” As if she understood, the little bearded dragon nuzzled my shoulder affectionately. She seemed to recognise me even more than when I was a teenager.
I’d been a different person back then. Hell, I hadn’t even been a person at all. Just a scared, abused 14 year old who wasn’t allowed to be who he was. But now that I was free to be myself as an adult, Paprika seemed to pick up on that. I’d never seen her looking so happy before. Nonetheless, a twinge of guilt still nagged at me.
“Paprika, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I couldn’t save you when you were sick. I’m sorry I couldn’t take care of you. Can you ever forgive me?” Paprika’s little golden eyes gazed into mine. She cocked her head to one side and seemed to smile understandingly. She bobbed her head up and down in an affirmative manner. “Ezra, there’s nothing to forgive. You weren’t safe in that house. What happened to me wasn’t your fault. You did your best. I’ll always appreciate that.”
Even though her mouth didn’t move, I somehow knew that that’s what she was saying. I stroked her spiky back lovingly. “Thank you…” I whispered, holding her close once again. It was then that I noticed a bowl on a nearby table. It was full of Paprika’s favourite salad. “Oh, look! It’s fresh rocket, made just the way you like it!” I grabbed a handful and held it up to her mouth. Paprika chomped down on the vegetables with relish.
“Superb, absolutely delightful.” She made a little noise that sounded like a cross between a sneeze and a burp. “Ooh, excuse me.” I couldn’t help but chuckle as I gently petted the top of her head. “Paprika? We’ll see each other again, right?” She nodded happily. “Of course we will. Don’t you worry about me, Ezra. You’ve done more than enough to honour my memory. You’ve just gotta live your life and take each day as it comes. Don’t be afraid to embrace new beginnings. I’ll always have a special place in your heart.”
“I know.” I smiled, hugging her again. “I love you so much, my dear little friend.” Her tiny claws hugged my shoulder. “I love you too, man. Keep your chin up for me, yeah? I’m always gonna be with you. Always….”
*POV switch*
Ezra lay curled up in bed, hugging one of his many stuffed animals and smiling in his sleep. Joyful tears glistened on his flushed cheek. “I love you…” he murmured drowsily. I could tell he definitely needed this dream.
Most people who want good dreams from me use them as a means of escape. But that’s not what Ezra needed. He needed a dream that would give him the courage to keep going and that’s exactly what I gave him.
Gently brushing a lock of bluish hair away from his face, I placed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Sweet dreams, dear Ezra.” Satisfied with my handiwork, I quietly left the room. All he needed for now was to sleep and stay in his healing dream until morning arrived. And when he did, his loved ones would all be there for him…and so will I.

WIP Sunday
Ooof so I'm like 30 minutes shy of Midnight so this totally counts right?
As always, this is super rough, first draft shit so don't judge me on it's quality. Uhhh mild spoilers for the plot so I'm putting anything else behind the cut and read at your own risk!
Jango was attacked in an earlier chapter and they rushed him to the Jedi Temple where he's finally waking up after surgery and a trip to a bacta tank. Jaster was losing his god damned mind, had been up for upwards of 30 hours by the time he passed out at Jango's bedside waiting for him to wake up.
The sound of their voices and the jostling of Jango moving roused Jaster from his fitful sleep. The older Mandalorian sat up like he’d been kicked and frantic eyes immediately sought out the wan-looking boy who was halfway propped up on the bed.
“Jango? Thank the Stars.” He leaned over and hugged his son carefully. “You had me worried, verd'ika”
A part of Jango wanted to protest the big fuss that Jaster was making but trying to fight him off or push him away just felt like it would take too much-damned energy so he suffered the affection and because his throat hurt so much, he didn’t bother to verbally protest at all.
And if he just sort of sagged into Jaster’s hold, it was because he was just so damned tired, that was it.
He wasn’t some weak, helpless kid who needed to be coddled.
But after a moment, the way that the hard, unyielding angles of Jaster’s vambraces and his spaulders started to dig into him and he put up a half-hearted struggle.
“Hurts.” Jango rasped and Jaster set him back down on the bed carefully.
“Sorry, kid.” Jaster replied roughy and he stroked a few errant curls back from his adopted son’s forehead with unexpected tenderness. “The doctors say you’re going to be okay. You just need to recover here for a few days.”
He was going to be here for days?? Ugh. Jango was about to demand to know why he had to stay here rather than recuperate but his father seemed to read his mind.
“We’re not outfitted with the proper medical equipment we might need if something goes wrong. It’s also probably safer here for you to recover than back at the apartment. The blade we found, it had the Death Watch sigil carved into the hilt. What do you remember about the person who attacked you?”
“His throat is still sore and inflamed from the intubation, it might be best to not talk until it heals.” Plo Koon put in quickly. “Let me see if I can rustle up a holopad or something.”
“Yeah, that would be good, thanks.” Jaster grimaced a little guiltily because he should have realized that himself. “And we don’t have to do this right now if you don’t feel up for it, Jango. The most important thing is that you rest and get better.”
It was tempting to accept that offer and Jango was loath to admit it but just surrendering to the exhaustion and letting his body pull him back into dreamless sleep sounded pretty good right now. His abdomen was beginning to make itself known and the pain had taken on an unpleasant edge.
But he also knew that having a description of the Mandalorian who had attacked him would be helpful to his father. “I can…do it.”
“I’ll be back. I’ll ask one of the med-droids if there is something they can give you for your throat as well, Jango.” Plo offered solicitiously and briefly rested his hand on Jaster’s shoulder before he turned to leave the room.
“I’m sorry. I never wanted you to get hurt. If I had known Death Watch was here on Coruscant, I never would have let any of you leave.”
“Montross?”
Jaster’s expression went grim and his mouth compressed to a thin, angry line. “He’s fine, he was just getting drunk in a kriffing bar.”
“Might have…been target.” Jango pointed out and by now, his throat was on fire so he started to reach for the abandoned water bottle Plo had set down on a nearby tray.
Jaster predicted his intentions and reached over to pick it up so that Jango didn’t have to lever himself up any further.
“I wish them the best of luck trying to take on that miserable shabuir.”
The chiding look his son gave him looked far too old for his young face. “Not his fault.”
Out of the mouth of babes as they said and Jaster had the good grace to look abashed by that unexpected insight from his child.
“Maybe not but he was definitely a factor in what happened. And he had no right just up and disappearing like that. What if he had been the target? They could have gutted him like a fish in a back alley and just left him there to die.”
Instead, they had tried to gut his son instead and that didn’t sit well with Jaster.
“I don’t know what his problem is these days. But if he keeps acting like a di'kutla chakaar then I’m going to have to reevaluate if I want to keep him on as my second in command.
It felt almost heretical to even say that out loud considering how long the two of them had served together. Jaster had seen potential in the hot-headed beroya and had given the lost and directionless young warrior a purpose.
He’d been with him for over a decade and a half and had risen from one of his top lieutenants to his second in command. Yet these days, there was so much anger and resentment in the man, he practically didn’t recognize him anymore.
Now, Jango wasn’t a fan of Montross on the best of days. Unlike Jaster, he’d recognized the source of the man’s problem. He felt threatened by Jango and the place he represented in Jaster’s life. No doubt, Montross had simply assumed that one day when Jaster was ready to hang up his cape and give up being Mand’alor then his faithful second in command would be the most logical choice as successor.
Especially since Jaster had no blood children of his own and had never shown much inclination to settle down and marry a good, strong Mando'ade woman.
Instead, he’d up and rescued Jango and adopted the scrappy young kid and that had upset Montross’s dynastic plans. The ironic part about the whole thing was that while Jaster had made it clear he was training Jango up to potentially take over for him one day, he had no intention on setting up some dynasty.
He wanted the next Mand’alor to be the best possible person it could be. That person would lead based on their own merit and not because of some nepotistic favoritism. He’d also made it abundantly clear to Jango that if he didn’t want the gig, then he wasn’t expected to suck it up and take the position. At the end of the day, he wanted his son to be the best Mandalorian he could be and if that meant he decided to walk away from everything and be a solitary beroya or a ori'ramikad, then so be it.
And Jango appreciated about his father because if he was being honest with himself? The pressure to perform and to be the best verd that he could be was hard enough without people placing further aspirations of him being the next <I>Mand’alor</I> on his shoulders.
Unfortunately….Montross either did not or could not see the writing on the wall and he viewed the teenager as a threat to his position and his future aspirations.
The fact that Jaster did not recognize that was frustrating and concerning to Jango.
“He’s…scared.”
Jaster looked at him as if he’d grown a second head. “Montross? He’s many things but a coward isn’t one of them.”
“Not afraid. Scared….of the future. And of…change.”
Realization settled in before his very eyes and Jaster looked momentarily stunned as he realized what the teen was saying. And once again, he was impressed by the wisdom Jango showed far beyond his meager years.
“You think he’s scared of change? Huh, well he’s in the wrong camp if that’s what he is afraid of. I have never made any bones about my wanting to change the old ways and bring Mandalore to a brighter future.”
“Too much…change. Too soon.” He took another sip from the straw in an attempt to moisten his poor throat again.
“Huh. When did you get so smart, huh? I swear you are an old soul, verd’ika.” Jaster reached out and mussed his hair affectionately and Jango made a half-hearted effort to bat at his hand but he didn’t complain and just stubbornly sucked on his straw instead.
