I simply Do Not Care about the graphics. Good, bad, or mediocre, I'm indifferent. If the puzzles and the story are good, and if the controls handle better than MID, then I am so fucking down

The actual outdoor clock in KEY suggests that the game takes place in May!
Tumblr media
And Leo's calendar suggests it's around the 15th since we know he was supposed to leave for his conference! So mid-May game if anyone was wondering!

Okay so following the theory that HeRInteractive outsourced the entire game #34 and they just got it back from other companies, which would explain why they would do such poor buildup marketing and only announce it 3 weeks before release - I assumed that these last 3 weeks they need for beta testing and bug fixing. So I asked my friend who works in game development and beta testing whether 3 weeks would be enough to test and fix game's bugs - she said NO.
Which makes sense, that's a very short window of time to catch the bugs, report them, get developers to locate the issues, fix them, test them again, it's a process that can take months! So. If they really did give it just 3 weeks to be fixed of bugs... we might be getting another buggy game.

Please reblog this saying whether or not you will tag spoilers for ND34, what tag(s) you will use, and how long you plan to do so for :)

I remember seeing someone on r/nancydrew say that Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys would be a great game if it was anything but a Nancy Drew game, and, at first, I whole-heatedly agreed... but after playing This Bed We Made, I fully disagree.
This is what a small studio mystery game should be. The soundtrack is crisp. The visuals have a style to them, as opposed to having that unity stock asset-look. The game doesn't wait for you to notice small things, and Sophie's voice lines help keep the player on the right track. The puzzles feel challenging, but not overwhelming. Just, ugh!
For a moment, I was sitting there, listening to one of the background songs, and I just thought to myself, "this is what modern Nancy Drew could be... if only." This Bed We Made feels like it was a mystery game made from a place of passion and love, while Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys feels like a corporate coddling piece where someone on top asked themselves "okay, just how little can we scrape by with in order to turn a profit?"
ND34 tried, but I just feel like, underneath, you can still feel that the team behind it wasn't as passionate about it was in prior games. This Bed We Made has personality and identity; Nancy Drew: KEY feels like it isn't sure what it's supposed to be, so it defaulted to using its past as a crutch... but that didn't work, and now it really doesn't know what it's supposed to be. It's a shame for the ND-series, but now I'm excited to see what Lowbirth Studios puts out in the future... even if TBWM is only like... sixth months old. Maybe their future games can fill the Nancy Drew Adventure Series-sized whole in my heart.

I dont know if it's it's the NPCs, the artstyle, or the engine; but it kinda feels like solving a mystery in Sims 4 (I mean this neutrally)

i love that with this new Unity engine HeR is able to take us players on adventures to mysterious and unique locations that we wouldn't be able to experience in our real lives, like a kitchen or an Apple store.

Um???
So the latest email from HeR(inactive) spells out “thirty-four” in highlighted letters during the trivia puzzle.
And they’ve got these two images in there:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are red letters in the note from Nancy that spell “you’ve been hacked.” What’s happening???
The card links to their Instagram, which has been wiped.
They also said “you never know what we’re gonna post next ;)”
Someone figure out what the card means—are we getting a trailer?
I swear, if this is an April fool’s joke I will burn them to the ground.
(Yeah I’m still on their email list. The unsubscribe button is very small, okay?)

Nancy Drew Game 34 trailer!!!!
Tumblr media
Ok watching this video I freaked!!!!!!!
There are so many new characters, and they are beautiful!! Getting a strong connection with Labyrinth of Lies, The Silent Spy, and Phantom of Venice with some Indiana Jones.
The puzzles look great and the graphics look amazing. I am very hopeful for this game.
BUT WE GOT A RELEASE DATE !!!!!!!! OH MY GOD~~~~!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! MAY 7!!!!!!!
Was not expecting the game so soon but 2024 IS AMAZING!!!!!
These are my thoughts; I have been excited about this game, and I want to wait and see how the game plays and see it in action. But seeing the characters in the trailer in play I am hopeful that this is going to be great.
