What are the standout soundtrack moments for you in NCIS? Are there songs that you listen to because of the show or will always remind you of NCIS when you hear them?

For me I have three that come to mind-

Nothing More by The Alternate Routes is in the Season 11 Christmas episode, Homesick. It plays over the last three minutes of victory over a case solved, kids healed, Tony deciding McGee's joining him for a cocktail, and Ellie giving Gibbs her mom's coffee cake.

In Shiva just after Tony tells Ziva "Aht lo leh-vahd" Not Alone by Patty Griffin plays while the team attends Jackie Vance's funeral and Ziva mourns in Israel. The lyrics repeat "You are not alone / Laying in the light / Put out the fire in your head / And lay with me tonight"

The Season 5 episode, Family, features Matt Nathanson's All We Are (a song so very of the time). It's what accompanies the moment Tony chooses his job and more specifically his team over Jeanne and burns her letter.

NCIS chooses lyriced music from the editing toolbox a lot less than many shows so I guess I'm curious if anything stands out for you?

Oh gosh this is such a good question

I clearly need to go through and listen to all these that you mentioned because more often than not I'm focused on what's happening on screen rather than the music, but I do have a couple that I'll never forget

The first is "I'm Glad There Is You" by Jane Monheit which of course was playing when Tony and Ziva danced in Berlin 🥲

And then the song that plays when Tony receives that last message over IM from Ziva in 11x01, and he says "Talk to me, Ziva. Where are you?" That's "If I Could Be Where You Are" by Enya, gets me every time

Now this one I don't have on my spotify, but I should. It's "The Viper" by Paul Lenart, et. al. This one is the song that Abby plays as the team leaves Kate's funeral in season 3.

Those are the three that stand out the most to me! Now I want to hear what others have to say!

I'm watching Yellow Jack on ION tonight (their first night of putting on new eps)...But why is Fatima's phone conversation being translated into Spanish instead of English...?

ION, I am very confused!!!

Both the digital file I have and the syndicated version on USA that's currently on my DVR have it in English.

It gets me every time when he brings up his fish were named after Kate and Ziva. Honestly good for him for keeping a fish alive this long, or at least having the energy to keep getting fish and naming them after love interests. The fact that it’s just Kate alludes to me how he doesn’t need fish Ziva because he gets real Ziva. And he’s so happy to go see her and finally start a relationship with her. No work to hold them back, just time and sunshine and some hanky panky

This thought just came to my mind (means it’s running at least a month in there and probably did 7 marathons)

It isn’t been that long (and why I think this way) - though it feels like it

It all took them around six years:

Kensi and Martin needed around six years

they had there undercover op after around 2 1/2 years (+kiss) — plus point for Ellick, it just took them one (and a bit) year (+kiss; of course)

Patrick and Teresa needed even more than 6 years to act on it

I don’t remember them having a kiss before but I could be wrong cause I didn’t watch them as regularly as the others

And Tony and Ziva…

ok they took around seven years - but they get another plus point they made a kid during confessing it for real (on screen)

They had there first undercover op (+kiss) under one year

I just hope it doesn’t take as long anymore for Ellie and Nick to get together
