i honestly think some people (queer and not) are a bit too comfortable asking others what their sexuality is, that’s something someone can tell you if it’s relevant and if they’re ready.
i was at pride yesterday and a friend of a friend (who i’ve met a few times) straight up asked my friend if she was “going as an ally or something else” and i’m like??? that is NOT an appropriate question to ask someone. my friend is openly bi, but she could not have been? like… some ppl are not comfortable sharing their sexuality openly like that, and someone’s sexuality is basically only your business if you’re planning on dating them or something like that, and even then it’s not really appropriate to ask something like that in a big public setting like that.
i know she meant no harm, but it’s not the first time experiencing something like that and that really makes me think about how some ppl need to start thinking more about how personal of a question can be.
some ppl might not know, some might not be comfortable being open about it in a public setting, some might not be ready to tell people etc. and all those ppl have a right to be at pride and other queer events without being questioned, they should be able to be as comfortable as possible!
#i mean i think allies should be allowed at pride too#but it’s honestly just such an inappropriate question to ask#and i KNOW she did not mean any harm but yeah… it did not sit right with me tbh#queer#lgbt#lgbtqia#lgbtq+#lgbtqi#lgbtqia+#gay#lesbian#trans#transgender#nonbinary#genderqueer#mlm#wlw#nblm#nblw#text#achillean#sapphic#lgbtq#lgbtq community#text post#bisexual#bi#pansexual#pan

Be gay, get married, do crime.
If you support gay marriage reblog this. If you're on the homophobic side, keep scrolling.
As a bisexual, it sickens me that some people WILL keep scrolling.

Okay so…Did anyone ever read a history book? Or ever get to learn what empathy is? Because these tags/reblogs on this post are HORRENDOUS and dumb.
Before I say anything: I want to clarify I am a Mexican + Salvadoran American, Nonbinary and nblm, and I probably have DID. Meaning, I do have experience in a lot of different communities! I’m speaking as someone who has seen this first hand and am actually taking courses in college on this. Moving on…
A big part of what irked me about these particular reblogs is the ‘reminder’ that white girls wouldn’t need to add on minority identities to have an opinion - because that’s based upon the idea that people who scream the loudest about being marginalized are NOT the white girls with minority identities themselves!
As I said on that post, white people are STILL the poster children of most other marginalized groups besides race. Y’all only have it worse than other white people. Marginalized groups that aren’t predominantly known to affect white people are deemed UNSAFE and DISGUSTING (such as single mothers, addiction, and other ‘stereotypical poc’ issues) UNLESS lo and behold, there’s a white woman or man dealing with that issue. You will always get help first.
Mental Illness Awareness online is predominantly White and AMAB.
LGBTQ Spaces are predominantly White.
Disability safe spaces are predominantly White.
And there’s nothing WRONG with being white and having minority identities. The thing is, it’s a problem y’all created for yourselves that you blame people of color for. Y’all think white people need to be oppressed in some way in order for them to even be an ALLY to marginalized groups. This is white guilt at its finest. This is the idea that you’re all stuck washing away the blood off your ancestors hands- which only leads you guys to NEED to be coddled by excessive labeling to make yourselves feel like you’re even allowed to have an opinion on something. You can, the only thing is, you just need to know that
1. You are not your ancestors. Whatever they did in the past, learn from it. Even if they WERE bad people, what they did does not mean you’re ‘tainted’ forever.
2. LISTEN. You can have opinions on things that include minorities and marginalized groups, but at the end of the day, you do not have the privilege to speak OVER (as in, negate) their own experiences. And if they say something is racist - maybe it is. If they say you don’t understand completely, it’s means you…
3…. Need to check your privilege. You are always going to be white first before anything. Copying from my last post, the difference between being white and a minority vs being POC and a minority is the fact that whiteness gets to stay ambiguous (no one will demand you to clarify what ‘type of white you are) and have the luxury of being able to say “I’m nonbinary/gay/have adhd/autism/am disabled/yada yada ya.” whereas for POC, their ethnicity is their most defining characteristic, and is NOT allowed to be ambiguous.
Latinos/Hispanics (in my personal experience) are often asked by other latinos/hispanics and non-latinos/hispanics alike what ‘type of latino’ they are. It's almost as if people of color are demanded to explain who they are to white people in order for them to be relatable in this day and age. It's almost as if we have been forced to wear our ethnicities out and about, getting harassed or worse because we are not white.
If you didn’t know, racism derives from religious beliefs- certain people who looked a certain type of way were considered “unholy” and “unfit in the eyes of God”. If you had a big nose, or a certain hair texture, you were deemed ‘Not Christian enough’. They would look for any reason to deem people ‘Not Christian Enough’, or not ‘white enough’ when talking about modern day racism.
I fucking despise white people who try to use their marginalization as a way to garner sympathy and support from minorities. We understand that you are and can be oppressed too, but that doesn’t fucking get rid of your MOST DEFINING FACTOR: YOUR WHITENESS. At the end of the day, you will always be able to hide your oppression behind your whiteness. Your whiteness is your shield. It can blind you. We cannot hide behind our ethnicity. We cannot be ambiguous. That’s the harsh fucking reality.
But that’s were EDUCATION comes in! Learning about your privilege actually helps you understand people a LOT better. I don’t blame you guys at all for being uninformed. But you only become an oppressor when you’re purposefully ignorant.
Don’t do that.
YES, you can be biased towards white people, but they’ve been the majority for a LONG TIME, meaning white people cannot and will not experience racism for a very, very long time. Unfortunately because of this, a lot of POC teach their children to be afraid or to hate their oppressors, and are also taught to cater to the majority’s gaze. This is where that whole “evil majority” shit comes from - and funnily enough (and again), is a term that y’all came up for yourselves.
We have our own issues inside our own communities (not to discredit anything that happens for white communities) that we really don’t need white input on too. Just felt like I needed y’all to hear that. If you really think we POC are curating an intricate way to discredit/discriminate against White people, perhaps those places that you feel left out in ARE NOT places for you at all! Think of it as a bathroom- do you really think a lock on the bathroom door means you’re not allowed to use it ever or does it mean when it’s unlocked and open, you’re free to use it?
TL;DR: White people whining about not having a voice is ironic because they’re the ones creating these barriers for themselves.
#•dodgetalks#•dodgerants#race#racism#the white audacity#white guilt#white bitches when their whiteness will always come first and foremost

*blinks at u with my wide autistic eyes* idk what space rocks is but id love to hear about it :3
:]
Okay, so, Space Rocks is a story that follows four strangers, who randomly wake up on an alien spaceship and are told that they are the Chosen Ones & they have to save the Universe from the Big Bad. They are also given these specialized rocks that allow them to have Abilities. And despite being strangers, the Chosen Ones are forced to work together in order to save the Universe.
And it takes place in Space and there's Aliens and Stuff :]
The concept and some story plots points come from a really old Discord Text Roleplay I participated in with a few friends in 2020.
Some key characters of Space Rocks.
Of course, you have the Chosen Ones
—Mia Knight Moreno - she/her. Aroace. 16 at the beginning of the story. She is the holder for the Yellow Star (Rock), which gives her the ability to tell when someone is lying. And when she gets a strong enough connection with the Yellow Star, then she'll be able force people to tell the truth. Mia is the leader of the Chosen Ones Team as well as the tank, using a claymore when she's in battle.
—Sid "Harvest" - he/him. Unlabeled. 16 at the beginning of the story. He is the holder of the Orange Square (Rock), which gives him the ability to influence the emotions of those around him. And when Harvest gets a strong enough connection with the Orange Square, he'll be able to influence people's actions. Harvest is the ranger of the Chosen Ones Team and his primary weapon is the slingshot.
—Angel del Roserio - he/him, she/her, xy/xyr. Genderflux, nblm. 17 at the beginning of the story. Xy is the holder of the Purple Heart (Rock), which gives xyr the ability hallucinate their greatest fear. And when Angel gains a strong enough connection with the Purple Heart, xy will be able to give people Nightmares that will last for about two or three days. Angel is the damager of the Chosen Ones Team and uses a battle axe when xy is in battle
—Donnie "Don" Choi - he/him, any neopronouns. Transmasculine, achilean, demisexual. 17 at the beginning of the story Don is the holder of the Green Tear (Rock), which will allow him heal others. And when he gains a strong enough connection with the Green Tear, he will be able to grow/control plants. Don is the healer of the Chosen Ones Team and his weapon for choice is a bill.
Also, all of the Chosen Ones are autistic. And none of them were told about the Space Rocks had abilities.
And then you have the supporting and recurring characters
—(Not So Human) Leader - any pronouns but people default to he/him. Genderless, trixic. Ageless, have been awake for 60~ years but have been around for 100+ years (NSH) Leader, as their name suggests, they are the leader of the (Not So Human) Species. The (Not So Human) People Species and the Space Rocks was created by the Galaxies to keep the Universe from being destroyed. When the Universe is at Peace, the (Not So Human) Species are in a deep, dreamless sleep & the Space Rocks are depowered and when the Galaxies feel the Universe is in danger the (Not So Human) Species are awake & the Space Rocks are powered. That being said, the (Not So Human) People do have free will and some of them will just go off and do their own thing, and not get involved with Universe Stuff. The Space Rocks can also be used for not good reasons as well.
—(Not So Human) Second-In-Command - he/him. Straight. Ageless, have been awake for 90~ years, but have been around for 150+ years. As his name suggests, he is the second-in-command of the (Not So Human) People Species.
—Mækœ - she/her. Lesbian, Girlbug. 18 when the Chosen Ones Team meet her Mæall (a planet that just has one huge, giant mall one it) Mækœ is one of the allies of the Chosen Ones. Occasionally joining the Chosen Ones on missions and stuff. She is an alien that has aquatic bug-like and angler fish-like features. Mækœ is dating Lœvessa.
—Lœvessa - she/her. Bisexual. 18 when the Chosen Ones Team meet her at Mæall. Lœvessa is one of the allies of the Chosen Ones. Like, Mækœ, she occasionally joins the Chosen Ones on missions and stuff. She is an alien that has bug-like features. She and Mækœ are girlfriends :]
And then you have the Big Bad and the people that work for her.
—The Big Bad - she/her. Sapphic. 200 years old. The main villain of the story. She's evil and cunning, and she is certainly not above murder.
—Wicked Scientist - she/her, they/them. Sapphic. 38 years old. The Big Bad's personal scientist. She's a fairly recent addition, she's only really been working for the Big Bad for about five years. That being said, she willing joined The Big Bad's side and has no morals. The Big Bad and Wicked Scientist have some sort of cannibalistic love story going on in the background.
—Kókei Aun - he/him. Bisexual. 17 years old when he introduced to the story. Head Commander of Mission Section 65-X. Mission Section 65-X is a decently large group of people going after the Chosen Ones. And Kókei had recently been appointed as the Head Commander of it by the Big Bad herself. Not a Chosen One, but does own the Brown Reverse Teardrop (Rock), which gives him the ability to see in infrared. And if Kókei manages gets a strong enough connection with the Brown Reverse Teardrop, he'll gain the ability of directly tracking people (as long as he and the person he's looking for are on the same planet or spaceship)
~~~
The story is kinda all over the place and under developed at the moment? Just know at some point the Chosen Ones will get a pet alien hamster thing.
~~~
If I were to ever manage to create the Space Rocks comic, then I'll be primarily tackling the themes of Found Family, Good vs Evil, Trust, and Purpose. As well as themes of Queerness.
#Space Rocks [Original Story]#I might fiddle with the Chosen Ones and Kókei’s age. Like age them up by a year or so but :shruggingemoji:#And technically everything stated has a possibility of change except for a few details like Lœvessa and Mækœ being girlfriends.#They will always be dating regardless of what details change#The Mutual Root [ask]

Ok, so, I was reading this new book 'Ese Algo Especial' a sapphic book and then this came out
Marta smiles and passes in front of her. And just in this moment Didi notices that she (Marta) has a pin with the LGBTIQ+ in her bag and then her mind starts to going faster than normal Seriously she's going to be this lucky?
"Don't come out with fast conclusions. Maybe she just wears it because she's an ally, because she supports the colective..." says to herself while leaving the locker room and closing it.
That is so relatable to every wlw/nblw and mlm/nblm 😭

I invented this flag a while ago but deleted the post I made about it because I thought the flag was substandard. I still do, but you know what? It’s worth a shot. This is my nby ally flag I made. Much like how there’s an ally flag for the lgbtq+ community as a whole, it’s crucial to show advocation for specific identities as well. That’s why I constructed this flag. The yellow stripe represents a support of those who identify outside of the binary. The orange denotes uplifting non binary voices. The white represents acknowledgement of complex identities. The light purple represents acknowledgement of bigender/multigender people. The dark purple represents intersectionality and acknowledgement of BIPOC, disabled and underrepresented groups in our communities. The black represents an acknowledgement of agiaspec people.
[description of flag, I’m new to adding these descriptions so I apologise if I did something wrong: yellow, orange, white, lilac and purple flag with gray text on it. The gray text on the yellow top-most stripe says ‘support of those who identify outside of the binary’. The orange stripe says ‘Uplifting non binary voices’. The white stripe says ‘acknowledgment of complex identity’. The lilac stripe says ‘acknowledgement of bigender people’. The purple stripe says ‘support of POC, disabled or otherwise underrepresented enby people’. The black stripe says ‘acknowledgment of those who lack gender.’ End text.]
Feel free to use, change or otherwise redesign this flag.

Pro tip:
If your friend is trying to come out to you, and they are obviously scared to, maybe don’t belittle them and make them feel worse! Coming out is terrifying enough, don’t make the situation any harder than it already is!

Hey!
As a queer young adult tired of only getting YA books with teenage/highschooler characters am looking for books that have adult trans male (or nonbinary nblm) mlm (especially gay) main characters. Especially characters that are above 20yo but at this point I’ll take any character that isn’t a highschooler. (I only know about Coffe Boy by Austin Chang which I think has an adult character?)
Also, are there any books where the main character (of any age) is transmasc (especially transmasc and mlm) but still living as their agab / “in girl mode” / people around them think they are a girl and they come out during the book?
Well Coffee Boy by Austin Chant is everything you're looking for, so if you haven't read that, do! Also Long Macchiatos and Monsters by Alison Evans is a personal fave New Adult-ish book with a genderqueer MC and transmasc LI, but also all of these (which can be found here: https://lgbtqreads.com/representation/gender-identity/) have transmasc adult MCs - if you specifically want m/m romance, start with Jay Northcote or Matthew Metzger.
Names for the Dawn by C.L. Beaumont (Amz)
Sunset Springs by Kacen Callender
Coffee Boy by Austin Chant
Peter Darling by Austin Chant
Caroline’s Heart by Austin Chant
Crush by L. Dreamer
Long Macchiatos and Monsters by Alison Evans (LI)
Dead Collections by Isaac Fellman
The Thirty Names of Night by Zeyn Joukhadar
Slow Moves by Elliot Junkyard (Amz)
Depart, Depart! by Sim Kern
What it Looks Like by Matthew J. Metzger
Second Chance by Jay Northcote
Starting from Scratch by Jay Northcote
Documenting Light by EE Ottoman
A Matter of Disagreement by EE Ottoman
The Doctor’s Discretion by EE Ottoman
The Craft of Love by EE Ottoman
The Longest Night by EE Ottoman
The Companion by EE Ottoman
The Queer and the Restless by Kris Ripper
Confessions of the Fox by Jordy Rosenberg
“Small Changes Over Long Periods of Time” by K.M. Szpara
Your Heart Will Grow by Chace Verity
Bad Boy by Elliot Wake
Their Troublesome Crush by Xan West
All the White Spaces by Ally Wilkes (Historical)
Reverb by Anna Zabo
The Right Thing to Do at the Time by Dov Zeller
Cat’s Got Your Heart by Jem Zero
As for characters who come out as transmasc during the book, check out Man O' War by Cory McCarthy and Between Perfect and Real by Ray Stoeve - they're both YA, but the McCarthy in particular spans a long stretch (including college) and I think crosses over for adult readers nicely.
