Love letter project ♡

Sooo to celebrate the 4th anniversary of Shining live, I put together a project! I basically got a bunch of people to write a love letter for their favourite boy. Things like, why they like them, how they got to like them and what they like about them were all accepted!

The event was supposed to have 2 fans for each boy but unfortunately I was unable to get two for some of the boys.

Under the cut will be the love letters for all of Class A!!! Please enjoy~ And thank you for all the people who participated in the event and taking the time to write the love letters out.

CLASS A

OTOYA ITTOKI

Hello world! My nickname is Yuki, and I’m here to tell you about the sunshine boy that is Otoya Ittoki. The redhead of the series, Otoya is your seemingly a-typical sunshine in a mascot boy character. But, as we all know with these types, the sunshine isn’t as, well, sunshine as they seem. Or, if you didn’t know, well… spoiler alert I guess. Go watch the anime, or play the otome games, then come back here. Anyways, let’s get started on our journey, shall we? Through the rabbithole that got me here in the first place!

Otoya immediately became my best boy the second I saw him. I’m not quite sure what immediately got me at first, whether it be his red hair and eyes, his voice, or his immediate friendliness, but here we are. I should also mention that UtaPri was my first idol anime, so I was completely unaware what was going to hit me later. And, if you’ve watched the entire anime, you know where I’m going.

Season 4 was an emotional wreck. I cried at least twice. Did I have a newfound appreciation for Otoya after all that heartache? Definitely. Without spoilers, it was incredibly painful for me to watch, but I don’t regret it.

After watching the anime, I soon found out about the existence of Shining Live. So, with no other UtaPri content to binge, I started to play SL in late 2018. After playing for a little more than a year, I tiered in my first Otoya event (Heartwarming Snow Festival), and achieved my first top 200. Ever since then, I’ve tiered in every Otoya event, getting top 200, then top 100.

But, why do I like Otoya Ittoki even to this day? Well, I guess this is the time where I say that, after a certain point, I started to see bits of myself in Otoya. This led me to start to RP him, and, as you probably know if you’ve ever roleplayed a character before, I started to look at the miniscule amount of translated game content (many thanks to the Ohayaho Translation Team) for, well, more content. And content I did receive. Long story short, this only served to solidify Otoya as my favorite boy of not only UtaPri, but from all anime/manga/game content I’ve ever seen/watched. His cheerfulness may have been the first thing that got me in this rabbithole, but his backstory and how he managed to grow up pulled me in even further. And, I don’t think I will or want to get out anytime soon.

As much as we all know our Otoya for how sweet and kind he is, there is so much more to him than just a precious smile. He is uplifting, cheerful towards everyone he meets. He has empathy and goes out of his way to make sure his friends are happy. Even so, Otoya has feelings that aren’t always happiness and smiles. He can feel sad and angry just like anyone else.

The reason I care and love Otoya so much is because he has shown me that I don’t have to always put on a smile. It’s nice to show off your pearly whites, but sometimes, it’s okay to be sad too. There are times in everyone’s life when they feel out of place and that they don’t belong. Otoya also felt this way and that’s perfectly okay. He’s still being the best idol he can be: The idol that Otoya loves the most.

MASATO HIJIRIKAWA

Masato Hijirikawa. Why do I like Masato Hijirikawa? I like him to the point that it feels weird for me to even question why I do. He's just- a good boy. A great boy. I love him. As a joke, I'd usually say that it was his weirdly pretty, bowl-cut hairstyle that drew me to him, or I'd say that he caught my interest when I read that he was "very good with his hands" (wink wonk) in his Shining Live description, and while both of these reasons are still true, it wasn't until I started role playing him in an old server that I really started to appreciate his character more.

Masato, despite his aloof and almost "perfect" initial image, is a very relatable character. When he first arrived at Saotome (in-game) he wasn't necessarily seen as someone with a lot of talent to become an idol, which he acknowledged with grace and worked hard to make up for. He's humble despite his privileged upbringing and is incredibly self-aware of his flaws, which are sources of insecurity for him sometimes (a lot of times). Though it should be said that most of this insecurity stems from not having a lot of control over his early life, which is why it felt so gratifying to see him break free of his metaphorical chains to pursue his happiness without any doubts. He's a hard worker and is willing to accept criticism with open arms, not only for himself but for the people around him. Despite his traditional upbringing and nature, he's very receptive to change as long as it benefits both him and STARISH. He values the people he cares about more than anything, which is why he constantly strives to be a better version of himself every day, not only for himself but for the people around him.

Though his stoicism sometimes makes him seem plain or even "boring" to some people, he hides a warm, hidden passion within that's just as bright as everyone else's. Like the springtime bloom of cherry blossoms after winter, Masato shows his passion and love with no restraint to anyone who takes the time to understand him, and I can very much attest to this. I love him a lot and I hope to see more content of him, STARISH, and the others for more years to come.

NATSUKI SHINOMIYA

HELLO I’m Z~ also known as the mod of the mikaze-discord/utapri-hcs tumblrs, as well as the organiser for the event! But enough about myself, let's talk about Natsuki Shinomiya.

When I first watched the anime as a youngin, I had already known about the games and their plots but had decided to try out the anime as well since I had nothing better to do.

Natsuki was actually one of my least favourite characters in the anime just because of how they presented him. I just...didn't care for him at all. He was just some random tall guy who loved hugs and almost murder…. Yeah.

I’m sure like most, I had a changing point. Originally, I was a Tokiya rper but...I was just unhappy with how my Tokiya was, I wasn't as experienced in rping with that server being my first rp server i was ever in. I didn't feel like I matched up with the others. I felt my Tokiya was just lacking something, substance maybe. Another person actually had a similar feeling and had changed their character from Camus to Syo and since we already had an Ai, I had just decided to go with the flow and complete the rest of the cute team. Best decision of my life. I’m so grateful for Natsuki and everything I associate him with. Without him, I probably wouldn't have made my tumblrs, I wouldn't have stayed in that server, I wouldn't have gone looking for other servers to rp in. I don't think I would be the same without Natsuki. I just find him so endearing now, he is just a lovable giant who happens to be able to be a disney princess. He is just so darn cute damn it. , just look at his Christmas card, his King card, quite literally just half his Shining live URs. Also, just like his songs just slap. Natsuki to me, is just serotonin. He gave me so many opportunities that I could have missed. I don't even think I would have started this love letter project without him if I’m being completely honest. I genuinely enjoyed all the memories I made as Natsuki. Thank you to Natsuki and to the Mikaze-discord for basically starting me off.

Natsuki was actually the very first character I encountered before I got into utapri. A friend showed a photo of him and told me that I'd probably be into this guy. She sure was right! After installing shining live for the first time and having a familiar face on the screen, I grew curious of him each day and just had to find out why was so attracted to him. The fact that I've seen him so many times in the past was haunting me, telling me that this man actually watched me grow up from a distance without even knowing his name. It sounds weird but I find it rather comforting for someone who doesn't want to be protected but isn't strong enough to defend myself alone.

The thought of having him there was enough to get me through the day and gave me enough reason to wake up to the next. I admit I may have adapted some of his habits after looking after his account for a year but that isn't a bad thing if it means that it would turn me into a much better person than I am now. I guess you could say we've grown together now in a sense, preserving the feelings and just living through the moment no matter how happy or sad it is. What's important is that we're not alone in all things we do and in everything we feel, there will always be someone there to keep us moving when we feel like giving up.

Thank you so much for asking again! Also thank you for asking the characters in parts because that does help out a lot! As well, if you do make a comic then I would love to see it! Here you go~! (I’m actually going to change up the intro part for this ask, but if you would like it to be all one storyline for each boy then I will happily redo this!)

The morning rays hit your face waking you up from your sea of dreams. The first thing on your mind is to start your day right by saying good morning to your favorite boy. With a smile on your face you grab your device and open up the app “Uta no Prince-Sama: Shining Live” for a dose of your morning medicine…

Natsuki Shinomiya:

“Good mooorning! I knew today would be a good day. Why, you ask? Because I knew I'd see you.” The smile on your face only widens. You let out a whispered “good morning” to your boy beaming on the screen. Natsuki is extremely happy today to see you up so bright and early. With how disheveled your hair looks and you in your pajamas, he can’t help but to think it’s a cute sight to see.

Then one of your fingers comes down. He can’t wait to feel the warmth it will bring as well as a tingle as the bond level rises up, “Haha, seeing your face gives me plenty to smile about! Take things easy today, okay?” You give him a firm nod which he takes delight in. He doesn’t ever want you to leave the app. You’re the only one that can make him this happy.

He gets so sad every time you say goodbye. You should be here with him, where he can touch and hold you. Hug you and become a real couple. You would be happier with him here too, wouldn’t you? Then he would be able to see your cute face every morning and actually tell you “good morning” as soon as you wake.

“You look so cute today! How about you come here and I can make you breakfast!” He sees the surprise on your face as he acts off script. You must be happy at the offer, but you just shake it off and go back to smiling. Another tap comes his way.

“I feel so lucky to have you in my life. You're so precious to me, I hope we'll be side by side forever.” You respond with a “me too” causings his chest to start racing. He wants you here with him. He’ll have you here with him. He reaches forth and touches the screen where you still have your finger. A blinding white light clouds over the screen.

As soon as it disappears the screen is gone. He turns around and there you are. Looking up at him from the floor. Confusion and shock clearly written on your face. He crouches down and smiles at you.

“Should I go get breakfast prepared now that you’re here?”

Ren Jinguji:

“Thanks for coming! Seeing your pretty face always cheers me up. Let's make today a memorable one.” The first thing you do is let out a small squeal. You change it to portrait mode so you can fully see him and soak in his presence. Before you even press him you say, “I’m so happy to see you Ren.” As though the dream continues on.

You even bring him towards your chest and hug him for a moment before bringing him back to face you. Ren already started wishing to be there with you, or to have you here with him. He wanted you so badly. He wanted you to be his. There was clear wanting in your eyes, he knew exactly how you felt.

“Hey… why don’t you come over here so I can say good morning properly?” He winks as he speaks freely. You don’t even notice it and just tell him how happy that would make you. It’s words that make him fill up with such happiness. He wants to make you his and you’re ready to surrender yourself to him.

The high level of bond you had with him was already proof enough of how devoted you were. He knew he didn’t have to worry about you going to someone else, and yet he’s still stuck in this cage, worrying about you frantically everytime you leave him.

“Ahh... You're so warm. It's such a soothing feeling.” Then as soon as you touch him. All of his worries start to melt away. You’re here with him now. Your focus is on him. As much as he’s bathing in your affection he knows that it won’t last for long. His worries will come back and a looming darkness of wanting you will settle inside of him once again.

“The more time I spend with you, the more lovely you become, and I don't see that ever changing.” Despite it being a line, his words are true. No matter what time of day it is or how you look. If you’re crying or smiling. You’ll always be the most beautiful thing he’s ever laid eyes on.

Your heart swells for him. He can tell by your eyes. You pull him back into a hug. He uses this opportunity to close his eyes and rest his head against the screen. A white light fades in before fading back out. He lifts his head back up and no longer sees the barrier.

He walks around the chosen place. When he finally sees you up and touching a wall making sure it’s real he shouts out to you. Calling you by your name. You jump at his voice before turning to look at him. A smile full of relief and joy spreads across your face. You run up to him, jumping into his open arms.

He holds onto you tightly, not planning on ever letting you go.

Cecil Aijima:

“Good morning! Never underestimate the power of a greeting. We must start each day with a smile!” As soon as you hear those words any left over feelings of wanting to go back to sleep quickly leaves you. His happy expression is all you need to wake up feeling refreshed. The joy in Cecil’s heart at seeing your face fills him up and releases any form of worry he had while you were away.

Cecil can feel the love just radiating off of you. The only thing he has been thinking about is you. You’re quick to go to his profile and look at all the outfits you have for him, “Let’s get you dressed for the day shall we?” Everyday you always pick out something new for him to wear.

He’s happy at all the outfits you got for him and how hard you put your effort into getting them. You work so hard which both worries him but also makes him feel happy at how much you care. You pick a new outfit you got recently, then change the wallpaper to something appropriate that fits it. At seeing the final product you bunch up in delight.

“You look amazing!” It’s a small complement but one that fills up his heart even more. Then switching over to portrait mode you tap him, “Your touch always makes my heart flutter.” At his words you place a hand over your heart as though signaling the same thing. Every move you make makes him happy. He makes sure to memorize everything you say and do.

Since when you come over here with him… He wants to make sure that you’re also happy and comfortable. Already he’s planned out so many dates in his head. Things he wants to show you and introduce to you. He’s already prepared everything for you to come over.

“My heart flutters when you stare at me like that. Just remember that my spirit is with you every second.” You were so caught up in admiring him that he said one of his automated lines. Though he was also too busy staring at you to notice the wait of your next touch, and when you do he’s in ecstasy.

“Everything’s prepared for you to come over! All you have to do is touch my hand.” He gives you the offer. Now is the time for you to be with him. You shrug off his words, but touch his hand that’s over his heart anyways. Which causes a bright white light that blinds the both of you to appear. Within seconds it disappears with the window to your world gone from sight.

If he did everything right then Cecil already knows where you are. He walks around the scene and goes into the room he created just for you. Then, as he predicted, there you are. Lying on the bed he has prepared to be yours. He walks over to the side of the bed and sees you sleeping soundly. There he waits.

For his precious prince/princess to wake up.

Oh! A Fantasy AU! I'm a sucker for those ones. I saw the Fantasy AU you made for Yandere Yamato, and I love it. How would you cast the rest of Heavens in your AU, if that's okay? If that's too many characters, I'd like to hear how you would cast Eiji, Eiichi, and Kira in your Fantasy AU.

Aah, thank you so much! I also love Fantasy AUs too which is why I made my own here! Also thank you for all the asks you sent in! (I’m assuming they were all from you?) You gave me some very exciting things. (Also my Fantasy AU is pretty much my Monster AU I created for Halloween last year but never actually wrote but shhh it’s okay.)

Eiichi Otori:

You were treated as a monster by the town’s people as soon as he turned you. Why you ever thought it was a good idea to go find a vampire’s castle was beyond you. All you wanted was to try to get to know him, despite all the risks. You thought that if he knew he had a friend, a human ally then you would be able to convince the people that monsters and fairytale creatures shouldn’t be feared.

That everyone could live in harmony.

It worked out too, in the beginning. Even if he seemed closed off at first you were able to get him to open up. You figured out that he wasn’t harmful. He only acted that way to close out other people so he could protect himself. Yet you were able to get him to trust you. You were able to learn so much and how he truly cared for the people close to him.

You figured out he had a brother who lived close by in a garden, and that he had five other allies who came to see him often. What you never knew before it was too late was his overpowering feelings for you. You never realized the desire, the want. He was always kind but you never thought he felt that way.

He was obsessed and talked about you to his friends in such great lengths. For when it was time for you to go, it was hard for him to accept it. So when you visited him on the next blood moon he offered you what you considered to be a harmless hug. Yet the pain of his fangs sinking down into your neck shattered that thought.

He drank and drank until you passed out. Your blood was delicious to him, it was impossible for him to stop. When you finally went limp did he come to his senses and realized what he had done. He felt guilt over what happened. Until he realized that you were going to be with him, forever.

Then as soon as you woke up the next day you noticed that change. The sudden craving for blood. When he offered you his help you denied, quickly running out of the castle. By the time you got into town they all knew. If Eiichi didn’t come down to save you then you would’ve been killed.

Now you're stuck. In this castle only with him. You can’t go back to the life you previously knew. Even though he’s fine with it. Now he has you to help with his loneliness, and soon you'll see the bright side in all of this.

Kira Sumeragi:

You try to wriggle your way free but he’s got an extremely tight hold on you. After a while you stop in hopes to try to gain some air back into your lungs. You move your head back and stare up at him. Those golden snake eyes staring down at your small form. Your eyes trail down to the scales along his neck to his chest. Turning into a snake tail that you're caught in.

His grip around you loosens only enough for you to breathe properly again. He moves his long tail to bring you face to face with him. You’re so high up that you don’t even dare to struggle. He moves in towards your neck and smells it before darting out his tongue to give it a slow lick. You close your eyes and your ears atop your head twitch in response.

You were always adventurous and wanting to live away from your family, so you decided to live in a different forest. His forest. Your parents always told you to never trust a snake or else you’d become their next meal. Yet you trusted him. He was your first friend, the one who showed you around. You relied on him.

It wasn’t until you noticed how all of the other predators left you alone. How he knew the forest like the back of his hand. How he controlled everything. As soon as your senses told you that something wasn’t right you packed up and left as soon as possible. Except that decision was also what led you here. Stuck wrapped in his tail, about to be his next meal.

“...I love you…” You're frozen at his words as he pulls back to look at you. He moves his arms to wrap around you. His tail falls off of you and you're placed in his lap. He pulls you into a soft yet secure hug as you feel the coolness of his scales. He starts humming a certain melody, making your body go limp. Slowly you drift off into a deep sleep. Not knowing when or where you’ll wake up.

Eiji Otori:

You pound at the glass of your captivity. You thought that the two of you were friends, but he went and stuck you in a glass jar. With your wings taking up most of your space it is hard to move around, much less it’s not like you could just knock the jar down or grow back to human size. You look behind you at your torn wing. You had to walk until you found him in hopes he would help, but instead he did this to you.

As a fellow fairy and a friend you thought he would heal you so you could use your magic again. Instead he was quick to put you in a jar and tell you that everything will be alright. You were angry. You trusted him, a half-breed like yourself but you never knew it would turn out like this. Your situation even made you think about that other fairy who suddenly disappeared out of nowhere.

Even Eiji was surprised to hear they were missing, but it also seemed like he knew something the rest of us didn’t. The door opened pulling you away from your thoughts. Eiji walked in and flew straight over to you. You shot him a deadly glare but he was still happy to see you. He apologizes for keeping you locked up from time to time, but now all he talks about is the two of you being together.

He points out the things he loves about you and habits he’s noticed. He tells you everyday how much you mean to him. Even if you did once feel the same way, you can’t accept what he’s done to you now. It’s always the same thing. Everyday all he does is talk to you when he’s home.

It was surprising when he took the jar and decided that the two of you should have a little “date” together. Then as soon as you felt the sun your mood instantly brightened up. When the two of you were alone and out of hearing reach he opened up the lid to the jar. You propped yourself up to stare at the world you loved and missed.

“I’m sorry (Y/N)... I’ll heal you now so you can be free.” You turn around to stare at him. His words caught you by surprise. You could see remorse in his eyes and it made you look away. You thought about those days he talked about you and suddenly realized how much he really knew about you, how much he really loved you. You moved your small hand to touch his holding the jar.

Then you looked in his eyes for a second before dropping yourself back into your confinement. You hear him let out a surprised, but happy gasp. You sit as best as you could and hug your knees to your chest. Somehow, that budding flower of love has planted itself back into your heart.

I remember you did Starish reacting to their senpais trying to steal their special someone but how about the opossite? How would QN react to one of their kohais trying to steal their special someone from them?

I’m going to do this as though STARISH are not yanderes, but if you would like them to be yanderes for this ask then please just request again!

Reiji Kotobuki:

Reiji really thought he could’ve trusted Otoya. Otoya was like a little brother to him after all! He cared for Otoya and taught him well as a senpai, so he never thought he would do something like try to take you away from him. In Reiji’s eyes, he couldn’t trust Otoya anymore. All Reiji had was you, and Otoya… tried to take that away.

Reiji can’t help but to hide you away. Making sure his kouhai could never reach you again. He knows it will hurt you at first. The two of you were so very close after all. With how you two would talk together privately in the corner of rooms about music. You always fidgeting in excitement as you talked about his songs.

Then all it took was for him to look away for a split second. That one little second that changed everything. When he looked back at the two of you, you were gone. Vanished, disappeared. Just like that. Reiji felt his world crashing. Anxiety hitting him and ripping him apart. A flash of the ocean waves crossed through his mind before he roughly shook it off.

He had to find you. He needed you. He wouldn’t let his other best friend slip away from him. Reiji had to find you, fast. Who knows what you are doing to yourself right now. What if you’re doing the same thing as him?

Reiji was spiralling. He quickly left in hopes of catching up to you. As he ran out of the Master Course he saw you go into a black car with Otoya. Otoya, caused this hurt. This pain. Otoya always made everyone happy, Reiji thought that happiness could’ve been trusted. Now there’s only dark clouds covering the sun. He could make Reiji happy no more. He could no longer make you happy either.

It connected to Reiji. You weren’t trying to run away from him. Instead it was Otoya trying to take you away from him. With this realization it finally made sense to Reiji. You were being controlled by Otoya. You would never want to leave him of all people. You love him, why would you want to leave him?

Reiji quickly went to his own car. He tailed the two of you until you stopped. As soon as he saw you get out of the car he got out of his own and ran towards you. He grabbed your wrist and pulled you into him.

“It’s okay (N/N)... I’m here to save you. To protect you from him.”

Reiji started to stroke your hair ever so gently. He felt you shake in his arms, but that’s only natural when you're just with someone who kidnapped you from the one you love. Otoya comes around to see Reiji holding you as though you are going to break. Otoya can’t help but to stare afraid at the sight. Reiji knows that it’s because he was caught in the act.

Reiji can’t help but to stare in hatred at Otoya. He doesn’t say a single word to him. Just calmly and gently urges you into his car, saying it’s time to go home. All you could do was obey. Leaving Otoya behind as the two of you went home. As soon as you walked through the door all of Reiji’s previous feelings left. Relief washed over him in a huge wave.

He quickly took you to your shared bedroom and made quick measures to make sure Otoya could never take you again. To make sure no one could take you again. The chains he’s been keeping put away finally come out. Now is a good time as any, to finally put them to use.

Ranmaru Kurosaki:

Ranmaru always knew Ren was a flirt, but for him to go so low as to try to take you away from him? He couldn’t stand it. There’s no way you’d be happier with someone like that. Someone who flirts around with girls and doesn’t dedicate his time to you. He hates even thinking about you enjoying a life like that.

So when he catches you chatting it up with the playboy he can’t help but to feel anger well up inside of him. Especially since this isn’t the first time the two of you have been caught. Ranmaru strides over towards the two of you. Making the once happy, playful atmosphere turn serious. With Ranmaru’s added presence you look away from Ren. Ren focuses his eyes on his senpai.

Ranmaru takes your arm and pulls you into him. He glares at Ren and threatens him before leaving with you by his side. Instead of going into another room the two of you leave the place all together. Once the two of you are in the car back home his anger subsidies just enough to notice that you're shaking. Ren must’ve done this to you.

Ranmaru can’t handle how that flirt has been with you. What if things became more than talking? What if you ended up becoming his? He hates the thought. Especially since your Ranmaru’s. He’s the one you should love. He’s the only one you should love.

Ranmaru takes your shaking hand. You slowly turn to look at him with fear clearly in your eyes.

“Don’t worry. I’m here for ya now.”

Ranmaru keeps true to that promise. As soon as the two of you reach home he makes sure no one can reach you ever again. Forever locked away in your home filled with cats. Never to see the sunlight again.

Ai Mikaze:

Natsuki has been getting too close. Far too close then Ai would like. He’s been talking more to you and touching you more. Giving you hugs and affection. Even when he’s not there he knows what’s going on.

Of course Ai knows that you love him the most, but he just refuses to share with his kouhai. He has to get you out of there. He has to stop all your interaction with Natsuki. To stop whatever he’s feeling. A feeling that he doesn’t understand.

After a hard day of work you come home and move to a comfy spot to start your evening of relaxation. Of course, the choice of app to relax your overworked brain is none other than the rhythm game “Uta no Prince-Sama: Shining Live”. You open it up to get greeted by your best boy on the screen...

ST☆RISH

Syo Kurusu:

“I was waiting for you! Y'know, you're welcome here any time!” A smile blossoms across your face, a smile that unknowingly sends his heart to race. He’s so happy that you decided to see him again today. He watches as you switch the mode to portrait, making you focus all of your attention on him. You tap his chest and pure bliss is the only thing to describe what he’s feeling.

“Oh, hey... I'm happy you're here.” His blue eyes watch as you bunch up in joy at his words. He feels like doing the same, but it would be risky to go off script right now. You tap him on the head this time, “Ahh, I feel so relaxed when you stroke me like that.”. Continuous happiness flows into him as he feels the bond growing higher. He knows that he’s your favorite. You have the highest bond with him after all. No one is even near to the number you have with him.

He loves all the effort you put into the relationship. Every smile you send him fills him up with butterflies. When you would tell him that you love him and gush over him. When you would tell him about your day and what happened. The roller coasters of the good and bad things, he was there for all of it. He doesn’t even remember when he started to feel this way. To feel so in love that he just wanted you with him, constantly.

He wanted to act off script for you. He wanted to respond to the times you would cry and laugh a lot more seriously and carefree than the lines he was given. He fully wanted you to know how much he was there for you outside of his written code. Everyday he was terrified about something happening to you. What if someone attacked you, or hurt you in a way where you could never be fixed.

He was scared of those thoughts. Those days he would see tears worried him. He wants to protect you. He needs to protect you. Still, this screen is blocking him from doing so. From being a full beam of support and protection. Like he wants to be.

“Hm? What's with all the staring? I'm here to look after you, so don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.” You remained idle for too long. You were just staring at him with a lovestruck look on your face, but it also held a bit of sadness to it too. That’s when he figured it out. He has to do what he’s been planning on. Now is the time to do it. It’s so obvious from the look on your face. You want to be here with him too.

You move to touch him again. He meets your touch against the screen with his hand. A blinding white light goes across the whole screen. When it disappears the screen is gone. He’s left to look around in the chosen scene and outfit to see if it worked. He walks around the area and then finally spots you.

You’re lying on the ground a little ways off. Syo runs to you afraid that it went wrong. That you're hurt or worse. He falls down to his knees. He picks up your torso and cradles your head. Faint breathing can be heard coming from your sleeping form. He lets out a sigh of relief as he buries his head in your chest.

He’s so happy it worked. To be able to feel and hold you right now. Nothing could make him happier than this. To have you by his side for forever and beyond. With no screen getting in the way.

QUARTET NIGHT

Ranmaru Kurosaki:

“You're just the person I wanted to see.” All the tension from the hard day instantly melts away. Ranmaru’s happy at how much he can change your mood just by being there for you. You tell him a simple line of “me too” before giving him a tap.

“I've been waiting for you. From now on, this time is ours, and I want your eyes on me and me only.” You flash him a smile and give him words of conformation, “Alright, all my attention is on you, for the rest of the night.” He loves it when you talk back to him. He enjoys hearing your voice and having your attention on him.

“Hey, how about you join me here?” He asks, taking a chance off script. You tilt your head a little surprised and confused. In your head you shrug it off thinking of it as a voiceline you haven't heard yet. Your smile is quickly placed back on your lips. You shake your head, “Well Ranmaru, if I could I would, but that’s impossible.”

Ranmaru knows there’s a way. He’s happy that you accepted his offer, because there’s nothing he wants more than to have you here. He worries so much when you’re gone. He knows you would be happy here. Then you could talk to him and cry in his arms. He’ll always be by your side through the ups and down at any time you need it, not just when you have the time to log in.

Hey-o! It's your friendly neighbor artist, here to make a request for the yandere shining live AU (I'm assuming that what you're calling it). POV: You've had your favorite STARISH or Quartet Night boy on screen for a very long time and You've build up a pretty strong bond with them. However, one day you decided to switch them for another and he doesn't take to kindly to it...// Can you possibly do Ai and Ren's reaction?

Hello! Thank you for the ask! That’s correct I am calling it that. Also thank you for all the drawings you do of my AU here. I really love and appreciate it, everytime you tag me I get so excited and happy because I never thought anyone would want to draw anything I wrote or created. So it’s always a little surreal, but it leaves me happy for the whole rest of my day and even when I go back to look at the work you did. So, thank you so much!

Ren Jinguji:

You let out a sigh from the long and hard day you had, but now it doesn’t seem to matter since you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day with your best boy….

“It's great to see you. I hope this time with you never ends.” Ren as always is happy to see you. Especially since you’ve been visiting him more and more. It seems like every free chance you have you are going straight to him.

It makes sense, with how your days have been. You’ve been far more stressed and tense then you ever were. You would tell your feelings plainly then after you tell him how you feel so much better spending time with him. Even just looking at his face seems to put you in a much more happy and relaxed mood.

Yet instead of giving him a tap you click the “Idol” button. A wave of fear hits him but he tells himself that you’re probably just going to change his outfit and/or wallpaper. Except, you end up clicking on Masato instead. You select him as your favorite and spend your time smiling and talking to him.

Ren can’t help but to feel betrayed. He thought you loved him as deeply as he did you. He was certain you wanted to be with him here. So why did you go for someone else? Should he of acted off script so you knew he was really here for you? Not only that but how could you have chosen Hijirikawa over him?!

Deep jealousy spread throughout Ren as questions floated around in his head. He hated the conversation taking place without him. Everything you were saying was things you would only tell him. So Ren made sure you knew he was listening. He made sure the only voice you heard was his own. You don’t need Hijirikawa. All you need is him.

Everytime you would tap Masato, Ren would speak one of his lines instead, “Thanks for always being with me. I promise to devote myself to you from here on out.”. You were shocked to hear Ren’s voice come out of Masato’s lips. Even Ren’s lines showed up in the chat bubble when he would speak. Even restarting the app it would still always be Ren. Eventually you just gave up and switched back to Ren.

Which of course, is how it should’ve always been.

QUARTET NIGHT

Ai Mikaze:

You open up your favorite app to rest from the overworked day. You get comfortable and get ready to greet your best boy…

“We make a great pair, you know that? Let's keep at it.” You came right on time as he expected. He was content chatting with you as you would talk and tap him for a reply. He could only speak the lines written, but he wanted to talk to you as a normal human.

Then after a little bit, as the conversation was dying down, you suddenly clicked the “Idol” button. Ai wasn’t worried at all. He knew the two of you were a couple and that you wouldn’t change him out for anyone else. If anything you just wanted to change his look and scenery. Except once your hand went to tap for Reiji, something started to swirl inside of his chest.

It felt as though you were cheating on him. Like you were denying the “love” you two had for each other. Of course Ai didn’t believe it. Maybe he did something you didn’t like, which makes him determined to change it. Since he knows that you love him, and only him. You clicking Reiji was just a mistake, a way for him to see how hurt you were.

He can’t stand being in the background as you talk happily to Reiji. He has to show you that he’s willing to fix things. To be there for you when you need it. So, with Ai being the tech-savvy person he was, he quickly started to take apart code to put himself where Reiji was. The device’s screen would flicker between the two, causing the scenery to glitch in and out between what the two idols had.

Ai kept deconstructing and constructing code. You stared at the screen in worry and fear. Reiji’s smile was gone as he pulled a look of sadness, and pain as this was going on. It was an expression you never saw and you doubted it was one of his usual expressions. Then there was Ai’s voice, “I’m here for you… so please don’t leave me again.”

After hearing his voice in a desperate manner in a line you’ve never heard before, as the screen was switching from him and Reiji, you finally restarted the app. You took a few moments to yourself wondering if it was all in your head or if that really happened. Your heart was racing so fast in fear and horror at what you saw. After recollecting your thoughts you opened back up the app. Hesitating before you did so.

The title page seemed normal and when you were greeted with your idol on the home screen, it was Ai, “I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to keeping a diary. After all, our memories together are precious.” You let out a relieved sigh to see that his lines are normal. You were still shaken up but you decided to leave your favorite as Ai, as usual.

All you can do is hope that it doesn’t happen ever again.

Chapter 1 - Meeting Him [STARISH Ver.]

I decided it would be easier for me to write my Utapri scenarios here instead of on AO3, as I understand the interface better here. After Otoya, it is cut due to length.

Otoya Ittoki

You were a successful DJ & now it was arranged that you were to have a collaboration with the rising idol group, STARISH.

Lucky for you, the composer of the group, Haruka Nanami, was your childhood friend to help you. You were always antisocial and have terrible stage fright.

You were thankful as your job as a DJ because you just had to put on your signature mask on which was a f/c intricately designed mask. None of your fans knew your face nor other artists unless they have worked with you before which they, under contract and privacy, would never reveal to anyone.

Besides, when you work with anyone, you would usually be on the quite side, not speaking unless asked or spoken to.

You entered the studio and asked for the studio number. Once you were in front of the door, you knocked and someone yelled, "Come in!"

Nervously, you opened the door and quickly scanned the room for your friend. Once spotting the yellow eyed female, you ran at your top speed to her.

"NANA-CHAN!!" You yell, your h/l h/c hair showing as your hood flies off. You latch on the shorter/taller girl and rambled on about how you absolutely hate talking to people.

"Umm... Haruka? Who's this?"

You look to see a group of 7 boys looking at you and Haruka. Instinctively, you stood behind Haruka.

"Oh guys, this is my childhood friend, LN YN or as you all might know her as SN." She says, soothing your back.

The short blonde boy gasps. "Wait, she's the SN??"

Before Haruka could warn them about your extremely introverted personality, a redhead walks up to you and grabs your shoulder.

"I really admire your work and I love your recent hit! I also bought your first album, the premium one, of course & I framed up the deflated balloon from your second concert in Akita!" He babbles on.

You froze up, not knowing what to say.

"Otoya!!" Haruka says. "Calm down, she's extremely shy so please don't burst on her like that... Look now she's frozen... YN-chan come back to me!!"

Haruka shakes you slightly and you come to your senses. The redhead in front of you starts again. "Hello. I'm Otoya Ittoki. Nice to meet you." He offers his hand to you.

"LN YN. Same to you as well." You hesitantly shook his hand.

Masato Hijirikawa

You were one of the best athletes at Saotome Sports Academy. Today was your academy's festival and the sister school, Saotome Music Academy, were going to visit the academy.

You were the best point guard of your school's basketball team and you were setting up the gym for the basketball team's exhibition.

You in charge of the basketball challenge, where there were 3 teams of 5 from the basketball club and whatever group beats the basketball team for the first 5 points gets coupons for all the food stalls the other clubs were doing.

It was decided that the teams would be mixed because the girls' team wanted to play as well however, your team only had a total of 19 members and the boys had around 40 members.

"Hey LN-chan! I'm almost done setting up the exhibition part! You should go change," Your captain & senpai, Miyuki Chihiro says. She was doing a demonstration with the other first-string players of the boys team.

"Sure thing!" You reply. You walk up to your close friends, Ami & Yayoi, who were the only girls beside you who were joining the challenge teams.

"I'm so hyped for this!" Ami punches her fist in the air. "I really want to recruit more girls..."

"Calm yourself Ami," Yayoi says. "Save that energy for the court."

You tease Yayoi. "You say that Ya-chan but you're such a beast on the court~"

At that remark, Yayoi blushed.

It was already the middle of your exhibition and so far, no one had defeated your team. Ami & Yayoi were put in different teams, with Ami's team so far losing to 2 groups and Yayoi's team to 1 group.

"Excuse me, can we play against this team?" A male with dark blue hair asks you.

"Oh sure, of course." You reply. You call out your senpais. "Hoi Morichika-senpai! Hurry up we have a game!"

"You're a player?" The male says, shocked.

"Yeah? What about it?" You retort.

He stayed silent. "Masato," he says, extending his hand. "I apologise, I thought you were the team’s manager."

You laugh aloud, shaking his hand. "Name's YN. Everyone says that by the way. You'll see Prince Charming, that this queen can slay a dragon!"

It was the middle of the game and your defense just passed you the ball. Determined to get it to your power forward, you drove the ball until one of the defenses from the other team shoved you, causing you to slip.

However, before your butt could kiss the floor, a strong arm gripped yours. You looked to see that it was Masato.

"Such a gentleman," you told him. He looked away, with his face slightly red. One of your teammates call you. "Hoi YN! You alright?"

"Yeah Satoshi!" You reply, giving a signal and standing up.

Masato looked at you and asked, "Umm... would you care to tour me around during your break?"

"Sure thing Prince Charming!" You say before jogging off.

Natsuki Shinomiya

You were a part-time worker at your uncle's bakery shop, and you were quite a well-known employee, as you were usually the one to invent new cakes and pastries that differ from the normal baked goods.

Today, you were at your cashier job. You were checking the cake displays on the counter until a noisy group walked in.

A group of 7 boys and 2 females made up the group. They dispersed, the one wearing glasses going to the counter with an orange haired boy. You realised that it was Natsuki, a recently regular customer since last month.

"Hello YN-chan!!" The happy-go-lucky boy said.

"Hello Natsuki, what would be the order today?" You smiled, getting your notepad and pen ready.

"Huhhh... YN-chan!!" He whines. "There's too many options to choose from!"

"Oh..." the orange haired male spoke up. "Natsuki, how mean of you to not tell me that an angel was creating these treats... No wonder they're so good."

You giggled. "So... what's with the gang?"

"Ohh," he says. "They're my good friends and I brought them over to try your food!"

"More like dragged us over!" The male with the fedora corrects.

"Eh... since when?" Natsuki innocently replied.

As they took their seats, you walked from the counter to them. "So... what shall it be?" You had your notepad and pen out and you mentally prepared yourself, especially for Natuski's orders.

"What's the special?" Natsuki asks.

You smiled. "It would be the CinnaChoco Character. Cinnamon and chocolate parfait with the whipped cream character of your choice on it."

"Then let it be nine specials!" Natsuki says. Everyone opens their mouths to protest him but were silenced at the next sentence he says. "And all the characters are Piyo-chan!"

"Alright... is that it?" You said, looking at his despaired friends.

"YES! THANK YOU!" He enthusiastically replies.

You walked away from the group. However, you looked back to see a blue-haired male scolding Natsuki while everyone else were dumbfounded. You smiled, disappearing into the kitchen.

Ren Jinguji

You arrived at the doorstep of Saotome Academy, in hopes of finding your cousin, Haruka. It was your first time in Tokyo, and you asked Haruka to tour you around. You came to Tokyo because of a shogi tournament, which would start next week. Haruka promised to support you and to watch your game.

After asking for several directions by other students, you finally arrived at a music room. Chatter was on the other side of the door and you knocked anyway. You waited until the door cracks open. At the doorway was a charming young man with vibrant orange hair. He smiled at you, "Why what a pretty little fairy we have here!"

"Please, I'm not magical and I'm not a fairy," You bluntly say. You look at him emotionlessly and croon your neck past him. You were more of a straight-forward and reserved person, not talking unless talked to.

You walk past him and ignored the group of other teenagers at you. "Hello Cousin Haruka," You greet.

"Ah, YN! I was just about to finish!" she says. She speaks to one of the males and then she walks towards you.

"Where might you ladies be going?" The orange haired male says before you two leave, blocking the door.

"Ah Jinguji-san, I'm taking my cousin YN on a tour today. She came because-" Haruka was cut off by Ren.

"YN-chan? What an adorable name."

"And I feel that you should give me your name since you already know mine and it would be impolite not to do so," You retort calmly.

"Jinguji Ren," he said.

"LN YN. Have a good day Jinguji-san." With that, you took Haruka's hand and shut the door.

Cecil Aijima

It was another day at Saotome Academy. You were looking at your schedule for today. Costume fittings, vocal practice, dance class... it was overwhelming for theatre students.

This season's production was about a foreign tale of gods and goddesses. You were casted as the goddess of the moon, and your costume designer was quite excited for you to try her new design.

You were on your way to the costume classroom, clutching your many scripts and lyrics in your arms.

"Shun-kun? Mayuri-chan? Are you in there?" You said after you opened the door.

The two cheerful twins who were your loyal friends and designers welcomed you.

"I think you're going to like this one!" Shun said, clapping his hands together.

"The Madame gave us a high grade for this," Mayuri said. "Ah! I'm so excited for you to sing in this!"

You giggled at your friends. "You know I always love everything you guys make." Mayuri helped you change into it. However, she asked you to close your eyes the whole time as a surprise.

"Ok YN-chan! Open!"

It was stunning. The darker blues and silver accents brought the whole dress together.

"I LOVE IT!" you squealed, jumping and hugging Mayuri and Shun.

Someone knocked the door again. "That must be our next clients. YN, you can continue wearing it. We can fix anything later," Shun told you.

"But I wanna see YN-chan sing in the dress!" Mayuri complained.

The door opened. In stepped a girl you were familiar with.

"Haruka-chan! I didn't know you were coming for a fitting as well!" You said to the orange haired female.

"I'm here with the idols I'm composing with. Did you like the duet I composed?" She asked, nervous.

You knew Haruka as she had written a few duets from a few productions. Recently, she'd written a duet between you and the war god starring in an argumentative song.

"The director and everyone else loved it," you said, recalling your rehearsal. "Too bad you can't be part of the studio's composing team..."

She smiled at you. "I enjoy composing for ST☆RISH, and you as well. But I have to stick with them for the semester. On another note, you look gorgeous YN-chan!"

"Thank you." You felt flustered by the amount of attention you were getting from the stares of some of the designer students and their clients.

"Haruka, who is this prestigious goddess here?!" One of the idols who had come with Haruka got on one knee and held your left palm in his hand.

You would be totally blushing and embarrassed if it weren't for the fact that he was in a green teddy bear costume.

"G-Goddess?"

Mayuri pipes up, "Aren't you acting as a goddess for this play YN-chan?"

"So that is the name of the goddess!" The male exclaimed. "Goddess YN!"

"Cecil she's notー"

"Teddy Sir, I am not a goddess," you explain to him. "But I am going to be in the theatre next two months."

You smiled at him. He immediately apologised.

Cecil looked at you in thought. You reminded him of his mother. Kind, sweet, gentle... To him you definitely acted like a goddess even if you denied it.

"I'm Aijima Cecil," he said. "I'm in the idol programme!"

"LN YN. Theatre programme," you replied, shaking his hand. "If you'd like, your group could come and see the rehearsal tomorrow. It's open to other students!"

"REALLY?!" He said, clearly excited. "MASA-CHAN, CAN WE GO PLEASEEE??"

"Why are you asking me?!" An annoyed, blue haired male said.

"Ren-chan said that you're the mother of our group."

A few arguments went around the group, but in the end ST☆RISH decided to go to the rehearsal after.

"See you later Goddess YN!"

"I told you, I'm not a goddess Aijima-kun!" You giggled. Aijima-kun was quite interesting.

Syo Kurusu

You were the Head Miko (shrine maiden) of your family shrine. Recently, your childhood friend, Haruka Nanami, wrote to you about needing help with a filming site for a music video for the famous idol group, ST☆RISH.

You allowed them to film in the courtyards of the shrine area. Today, you were meeting with them to guide them around the shrine.

Finally, they arrived at the gates. "Nana-chan, I'm so glad to meet you." You hugged your best friend ever since kindergarten. You had your hakama hood up and greeted the boys.

A blue haired male bowed to you. "Thank you for your great generosity Miko YN."

The rest of the boys quickly realised who you are and followed their friend. However, one of the taller males bumped into the shortest male.

That male unfortunately fell on you.

"HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT MIKO LN YN?!" One of the shrine guards yelled.

The guards hollered the small male up and held him in a lock.

"Guards! Control yourselves! It was an accident!" You said. "Release him!"

They immediately did so.

The guard who started the riot went into a dogeza position. "Sincerest apologies Miko YN. You may cut off my head if you wish for compensation of this horrendous action."

At this point, the boys were borderline scared.

"As punishment..."

You saw the shorter male pale.

"Go and purchase mochi and edamame from the lady at the local market."

You heard huge sigh of relief come from ST☆RISH. You helped the fallen boy up.

"I should apologise to you..." you trailed off, asking for his name.

"Kurusu Syo. And I should apologise. That was..."

"Here," you gave him a good luck talisman. "For luck in your shooting."

After the tour you gave them, they started to film the video. Apparently, they needed a traditional setting as there was a kendo scene.

Syo was against another male who was quite tall. The other male tied his hair as he defended from Syo's angry attacks.

The blue haired male who was directing the scene, who's name you found out to be Masato, called it off.

"Ren, Syo, slow down. Your fight is too hectic. It needs to be graceful, like the title track is."

"I think I can help," you said. "I can assist Kurusu-san's strikes."

You untied your whole katana ー including the sheath ー from your waist and walked up to Ren.

"Kurusu-san, you should take a defensive approach first and then continue attacking for the rest of the scene," You said, taking your stance.

"Wait, Miko YN. I don't think I can attack such a pure maiden such as you," Ren protested, flirting a little.

You said nothing, proceeding to block Ren's sword and striking his forearm. Then you swept your weapon at his ankles and Ren fell down.

"Wahhh Miko YN is so cool!" Otoya said.

You told Masato. "I feel if Syo does a sweep maneuver, then it would be more graceful."

"Thank you Miko YN," Syo said. His face turned red. "You... fight good."

"Thank you, Kurusu-san!" You said, bowing.

"WAHH MIKO YN TAUGHT THAT BOY!"

"MIKO YN IS SO SKILLFUL!"

The guards and shrine attendants complimented you.

"Good luck Kurusu-san!"

"A-Ah... Yeah thanks!" Syo ran back to the courtyard. For the rest of the shooting, he avoided you and you didn't know why.

You smiled to yourself. He is an odd boy.

Tokiya Ichinose

You were a famous mangaka in the shoujo genre. So far in your career, you had three series. You attended Saotome Academy's drawing programme last year, and it really helped your manga to be popular.

Today you were going to attend a convention as one of their special guests. You decided to cosplay as one of the characters from your fantasy manga.

You had invited your friends Tomochika and Haruka, who you met through one of your writing classes. They both attended for the sake of writing lyrics, but you were there for a story script. Tomochika was also a big fan of yours. They told you they were going to bring some friends as well.

Your mangaka name was announced and you got on stage. "Hello guys!" You bowed. Cheers and screams went around.

"AN-sama is so cute!"

"I LOVE YOU AN-SAMA!"

"Thank you, guys, so much for the support! I have a special announcement!" You said.

Silence went around...

"With the help of Souka Animation, the fantasy series will be having an anime in a year!" You said. More cheers went around. "It's because of you guys that this was possible. In ten minutes, the signing and Q&A will start so I hope you guys enjoy!"

After the heaps of questions, you were finally on your break. At that moment, you saw Haruka and Tomochika. They came to you, with several other boys. "Ah, YN-chan, this is the group I'm composing for," Haruka said, introducing the 7 boys that had followed.

The dark-haired male introduced himself and bowed to you. "My name is Ichinose Tokiya. AN-sama, please give me the honour of having your autograph."

He held out a manga that you knew quite well. It was the first issue you ever sold. Well, it was not part of the three series you own but a high school doujinshi you made of a popular fighting game.

"How... did you get this? I never continued this after the fifth volume!" You exclaimed.

Tokiya replied, "I... I'm a big fan AN-sama."

You signed the doujinshi. "So you're a fan of this series as well?"

He nodded. "I collected the manga in school and your doujin concept was really interesting. I also collected your fantasy romance series and the other two. Your storytelling is amazing andー"

You were surprised. He knew your works so well, even before you started to write your own series.

"You go to Saotome right?" You asked.

He nodded. "I'm in the idol programme."

"I'm a student there as well. I'm in design programme," You said. "Since we're schoolmates, you can call me LN."

"Then call me Tokiya-san."

"Shall we walk around the event together?" You offered.

He accepted, flustered that his favourite mangaka is treating him.

How the Cookie crumbles

Who am I?

I am Cookie, a ciswoman, born in 1997, living in Belgium, INFJ.

When did I start writing fanfiction?

Probably in 2002. I’ve always liked reading books and writing little stories was already a hobby of mine as a kid. I’ve had a pc on my room ever since I was about 5 years old and I used to be able to spend hours just playing patience or -you guessed it- write stories in word (remember Clippy?). Back then it was mostly Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King.

I stopped for a few years and picked it up again around 2010, this time while knowingly watching anime. It all started out with Naruto and Vampire Knight. I used to publish some of my works (reader inserts and oc content) from about 2012 to 2014, but let’s not talk about the quality of my work back then, lol.

When did I start this blog?

My first work was posted on Tumblr on 21/07/2020.

What’s the story behind my url?

I’m horribly unoriginal with usernames and I always pick the same things. Usually this is easier because they can always find me pretty quick. For Tumblr though, I didn’t want people to find me (except if I told them), so I needed something new. But like I said, I’m horribly unoriginal. So I looked around in my room, and my eyes were drawn to my Hannibal book. Now Hannibal didn’t sound good, but I’ve always loved the sound of ‘silence of the lambs’. And I just happened to be craving cookies at the time. And thus, silenceofthecookies was born. Before I turned this into a proper writing blog, my bio used to be ‘Why are the cookies silent? Because I ate them’.

Did I make my own theme?

Nope! I have very little knowledge of html. My lovely friend @blueflamebimbo made it for me. She came up with the whole idea as well, since I’m horribly unoriginal and had no idea what I wanted for a theme.

Angst is definitely my favourite, good end or bad. From 2016 until summer 2020 (the period where I didn’t publish any of my writings) I wrote nothing but angst. It’s just something so easy for me to write and I feel a sense of joy when I’m able to move people with my writing.

That being said, I do love writing most things. It’s nice to have a bit of variety.

My Top 10 Utapri songs:

Since @lazarustrashpit tagged me for album/song thing and I pretty much listened to nothing but Utapri music this year, I figured I would just do a top ten Utapri songs:

1. Night Dream (Masato Hijirikawa, Tokiya Ichinose, Cecil Aijima, Camus, Ai Mikaze) - God where do I start with this one. I think I fell in love with it the moment it first popped up on Shining Live and jumped right into the chorus on the song selection screen. Everything about the song is just...beautiful. The lyrics, the melodies, the music itself, the artwork (I have the art for all the boys framed above my bed). And then I heard the off-vocal for the first time a few months ago which I love just as much, and almost sounds like a different song at some points. I don’t think a day has gone by I haven’t listened to it at least a few times and I’m sure everyone has to be tired of my shit by now LOL I’m glad nobody is usually around when I re-watch the performance in the 6th live over and over again.

2. God’s Star (Quartet Night) - Another song I can’t go a day without listening to it. Quartet Night was so, soooo robbed that they didn’t win with that song because I’m sorry , it completely blows “We are Starish” out of the water. I love the build up to that amazing chorus and that feeling like I’m cheering them on as I sing along. It gets me so hyped every damn time. The day it appears in SL if ever guaranteed I will be a sobbing mess because I have been asking for this forever.

3. Ultra Blast (Starish) - This song also gets me pumped. It pulls no punches as to the kind of song it is front the get go. I consider this the Starish equivalent of “God’s Star” when it comes to the kind of energy it produces. The beatmap for it in SL is fun as hell, albeit a bit hard, and it one of my favorites in the game. Of course watching it performed in Maji Love Kingdom only further cemented my love for it and I��m dying to watch the performance in it again. Sentai Filmworks when?

4. Force Live (Quartet Night) - This was the first song I ended up liking (and pretty much the start of it all) when I first started playing Shining Live and generally getting into Utapri. I have watched the video for this more times than I care to admit, to the point the entire dance routine is pretty much ingrained in my head. I actually teared up watching it performed live for the first time in Quartet Night Live Future.

5. Hurray x 2 Dreamers (Reiji Kotobuki) - I feel like I discovered this one kind of late. I should slap myself for being such a Reiji stan failure for that one, but I didn’t really pick up on this one until the Ski Reiji event and playing it over and over and over again (over 150 or so times?). Honestly that shit should make most people hate it. Except people like me who are worse than little kids and Baby Shark. It’s so fun and bouncy and the lyrics are adorable, especially the line about the Kotobuki stamp of love.

6. Maji Love 2000 (Starish) - I’m kind of not the biggest fan of the Maji Love songs from Starish. I like them, but I generally don’t seek them out, although the performances are fun as hell to watch and sing along to in the lives. That being said, I fucking love Maji Love 2000 and the second I hear “Nissen pa, saiko na love!” my mood immediately rises. I have to give credit to Starish for the fact their songs always sound like they are having fun together singing it and actually love singing with one another. The energy is infectious.

7. Non-Fiction (Ranmaru Kurosaki and Camus) - Oh lord this was a banger the moment the preview came out for it. Play this at my funeral. I love the back and forth singing between the two, especially perfect given the character’s general animosity towards each other. Please watch the live version of this in Live Future if you have not. Tatsu and Maeno are cocky as fuck and nail the song so perfectly.

8. Never (Reiji Kotobuki) - I’m kinda sad that “Hurray x 2″ trumped this one as my favorite Reiji song, because this is the quintessential Reiji song to me. I can’t look at a Ferris wheel without thinking of this song. It’s also the title of my favorite Utapri episode (what a shocker) so it holds a special place in my heart. It’s sweet, romantic, and makes you wanna dance with him all night long. I’m in constant awe how a lot of the solo songs are composed so well to fit the character that’s singing it, and this one is no exception.

9. Original Resonance (Tokiya Ichinose and Masato Hijirikawa) - You know it almost took me a good year to master the beatmap for this one? I love the song but holy shit is that song a bitch to play. This is a perfect pairing of voices if I ever did hear one. Again I love how they play off each other’s singing. And you know it’s always fun to whisper Original Resonance when these two appear together.

10. Top Star Revolution (Natsuki Shinomiya) - Kishow is a powerhouse when it comes to singing. In fact he is my favorite vocalist out of the bunch (gomen, gomen Reiji but Kishow hits me in all the areas). Another SL beatmap I absolutely love to play. It’s fast, it’s pounding, the wonderful sweetness of the viola playing against those electronic beats, and ugh those high notes. It’s a ride from start to end. Ah my princess indeed.
