claws dug into a muscled bicep behind him, the other fought with a couch pillow in a desperate attempt to escape, but the paws on him were unforgiving. one fisted his short hair with ease, the other held onto his tail. trenton caught him off-guard. in his own goddamn home. again. nathan might or might not have taken a few pictures for his online presence (it was grindr) with his tail out & felt quite proud of them, so mischief had taken over & he laid down on the living room couch for a little nap, which was when the bear struck.

he woke to torn clothes & grubby paws all over him, leaving not only sparks of something in their wake, but bruises, too as trenton was incapable of gentleness & nathan bruised so very easily. tried to escape, but it was to no avail. the firm tug to his tail actually has him gasp, but not in pain & he hated himself for it. it wasn't his fault, he didn't have it out a lot, so he wasn't used to the sensations as much as he was to others.

pleas & spite were useless this time, too. as per usual. trenton took what trenton wanted. those who refused or stood in his way would regret it & nathan did, every single day of his life. he wished he never took the damn case, but then again - he hadn't exactly been presented with an option. if only he could go back in time, he'd change everything about their meeting, including the lack of security. god, regret was laid on thick again tonight.

trenton never quite... waited long. clothes were exterminated, nathan's will to live challenged & diminished at the same time & then trenton would take what he came for. him. the alpha usually stayed away long enough for nathan to fully recover, so when he did return it was like they'd never met before & nathan's struggle began anew. he fuckin' hated his guts.

protest was swiftly silenced with a paw wrapping around the fox's throat, squeezing tight & tighter - usually tighter rather than just tight. mostly because nathan fought down to the teeth, with everything he had. at least at first. but when trenton pushed nathan to near unconsciousness & every permitted breath felt like heaven's gift, resistance dwindled & hopelessness took root.

nathan rarely faced trenton when they fucked (was that even accurate? it wasn't they, it was trenton), so the fox tended to try avoid as much around him as possible, but when fangs came down on an earlobe & a low growl rumbled in the alpha's chest & against his ear, promising even more regret & disgust (at himself), because the omega reacted to it.

Georgia’s Court of Appeals on Thursday disqualified the Atlanta prosecutor who brought an election interference case against President-elect Donald J. Trump and his allies, a surprise move that threw the entire case into disarray.

In a 2-1 decision, a three-judge panel reversed the decision of the trial judge, who in March allowed Fani T. Willis, the district attorney of Fulton County, Ga., to keep the case, despite revelations about a romantic relationship she had with the lawyer whom she hired to manage the prosecution.

All three of the appeals judges were appointed by Republicans. Ms. Willis’s office swiftly filed court papers indicating that it would appeal the decision to the Georgia Supreme Court, which is also dominated by Republican-appointed judges. If the lower court’s decision stands, it could doom the case, which is the last active criminal prosecution involving charges against Mr. Trump.

Mr. Trump and 14 of his allies are charged with conspiring to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia.

Judge Scott McAfee, the trial court judge, had rejected a defense claim that Ms. Willis’s relationship with the lawyer she hired had given her a financial stake in the case. But he found that the relationship had raised “a significant appearance of impropriety” that needed to be addressed, and he effectively forced Ms. Willis to dismiss the lawyer, Nathan J. Wade.

The appeals panel’s majority decision, written by Judge Trenton Brown, said that Judge McAfee’s decision “did not cure the already existing appearance of impropriety.”

The ruling came as a surprise, in part because Judge McAfee has a conservative record and was originally appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican. In a dissent, Judge Benjamin A. Land of the Court of Appeals, another Kemp appointee, wrote that he was “particularly troubled by the fact that the majority has taken what has long been a discretionary decision for the trial court to make and converted it to something else entirely.”

“If this Court was the trier of fact and had the discretion to choose a remedy based on our own observations, assessment of the credibility of the witnesses, and weighing of the evidence,” Judge Land continued, “then perhaps we would be justified in reaching the result declared by the majority.�� He added: “But we are not trial judges, and we lack that authority.”

The Trump camp celebrated the win. In a statement, Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Mr. Trump, said: “In granting President Trump an overwhelming mandate, the American people have demanded an immediate end to the political weaponization of our justice system and a swift dismissal of all the witch hunts against him.”

Steve Sadow, Mr. Trump’s lead lawyer in the Georgia case, said “as the court rightfully noted, only the remedy of disqualification will suffice to restore public confidence.”

“This decision puts an end to a politically motivated persecution of the next president of the United States,” he added.

Ms. Willis’s office did not comment beyond its appeal.

Ms. Willis, an elected Democrat, began her investigation of Mr. Trump and his allies nearly four years ago, but her case could be effectively dead if her office is not able to preserve its hold on the case. When a case is stripped from Georgia prosecutors, its fate is decided by a Republican-controlled state panel.

That panel already decided not to bring charges against Georgia’s lieutenant governor, Burt Jones, who acted as a fake elector for Mr. Trump in 2020. Ms. Willis and her office were barred from bringing charges against Mr. Jones as part of the Trump election interference case, because she had headlined a fund-raiser for one of his political rivals.

Anthony Michael Kreis, a law professor at Georgia State University, called the ruling “exceptionally bad” in a series of posts on X and said that the appellate judges were encroaching on the trial court’s job.

Chris Timmons, a former Georgia prosecutor who has followed the case closely, said that “it’s a tough call to say whether the Court of Appeals got it right,” adding that “their reasoning was that the people lost confidence in the case.”

But he noted that Ms. Willis recently “won re-election in a landslide, suggesting that Fulton County at least has confidence in her.”

The prosecution was upended in January after a lawyer for one of Mr. Trump’s co-defendants revealed in a court filing that Ms. Willis had engaged in a romantic relationship with Mr. Wade. Defense attorneys accused Ms. Willis of “self-dealing” because she took a number of vacations with Mr. Wade after hiring him, while using public funds to pay him more than $650,000 for his work on the case.

“Although reasonable minds could differ, I think that it’s very reasonable for the Court of Appeals to feel that public confidence in the district attorney’s office has been irreparably damaged in relation to this case,” said Clark D. Cunningham, an expert in legal ethics and a law professor at Georgia State University.

While not all of the 15 defendants took part in the appeal, Mr. Cunningham said that he expected all of the remaining defendants to now join it and that their chances of success were good.

Mr. Trump’s legal outlook has improved considerably since the November election. The U.S. Justice Department dropped its two cases against him since it has a policy against prosecuting sitting presidents. While Mr. Trump was convicted earlier this year of 34 felonies in a Manhattan case related to falsifying business records, the judge recently put off the sentencing, and prosecutors have signaled a willingness to freeze the case while Mr. Trump holds office.

Besides Georgia, four other states are pursuing criminal cases related to efforts by Mr. Trump and his allies to cling to power after his 2020 election loss. But Georgia is the only state to have brought charges against Mr. Trump himself.

Of all the San Diego Latin DJs calling the 619 home, Danielle & Mitch chose me to DJ and MC their English/Spanish Grand Tradition Estate Wedding on Friday, January 18, 2019. The following write-up is based on San Diego DJ Staci’s crazy organized & detailed outline for this Grand Tradition Estate wedding. The ceremony was at Compass Garden waterfall. Cocktails were at the Orchid Bar. DJ service began with dinner.

This is a problematic floor plan in which the guests seated in front of the DJ get deafened during dinner, impedes the DJ’s visibility of center stage (making it difficult to know when the cake cutting is done & the song should be faded, for example), and makes the volume on the dance floor quieter. None of the guests seated at table 16 sat down to eat dinner–the table was completely empty all night. The DJ/MC can do his/her best work when placed on the edge of the dance floor.

New York Jets Draft Grade

I firmly believe that the most accurate way to grade a draft class is to grade it 3 years down the road. However I will give my early grade for each team.

The Jets begin the 2018 draft by taking their Quarterback of the Future, Sam Darnold from USC. Darnold was a highly productive and athletic passer for the Trojans who showed the leadership to lead USC as a redshirt freshman. Darnold was widely considered the top Quarterback prospect due to his arm talent and athleticism along with his production at one of the top football schools in the nation. However, his issues with his throwing mechanics and his issues with turnovers led to this “drop” to 3. The Jets traded away all their 2nd round selections but with the 3rd round pick they take Fort Hays State defensive tackle Nathan Shepherd. Shepherd’s ability to play as a 1, 3 and 5 technique at the next level along with his impressive length and power could allow him to be a very impressive interior rusher at the next level and is able to add another powerful inside rusher for the Jets. However he will make the transition from Division 2 to the pro level and could have a sizable learning curve if he is asked to play soon. Chris Herndon, Tight end from Miami is the next Jets selection. Herndon is the latest in a line of athletic tight end prospects from Miami, showing the speed to create separation on college linebackers and consistently reel in passes for the Hurricanes. However Hendon doesn’t play as strong as you would hope from a 250 pound tight end and could be bullied by stronger linebackers at the next level. His ability to perform as a receiver will likely cause him to crack the starting line-up but he is going to be a work in progress for his first few seasons. The first of the 3 6th round selection is Tulane corner Parry Nickerson. Nickerson set the track on fire at the combine with a 4.32 40 and his speed translates onto the field, showing the ability to run step for step with every college receiver he went up against. However he lacks great length and strength to consistently play on the outside as a pro and he could be limited to nickel corner. He was a top notch college corner but will need to show the ability to translate his coverage abilities to the pro level. UConn defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi is the next Jets selection. Fatukasi has good size and length to play as a defensive tackle or 3-4 defensive end and has shown the strength and burst off the field to be an impressive defensive prospect. However he failed to translate his strength and athleticism to the football field, showing below average power and speed when asked to rush the passer and lacks polish as a pass rusher or run defender. He has the raw athleticism but he is a work in progress as a defensive lineman and could take several seasons before he is a consistently serviceable player. The final selection for the Jets is Virginia State runningback, Trenton Cannon. Cannon had a very impressive set of highlights at Virginia State and consistently showed the wiggle, speed and burst to take the ball to the house every time he touched the ball and showed very soft hands and ability to perform on special teams. Cannon isn’t the strongest or biggest runner and will need to show better vision between the tackles, but his ability to be a versatile and explosive weapon for the Jets will make him invaluable to the new face of the franchise. The Jets hopefully added their new Quarterback for the next 10 years in Darnold and both Shepherd, Herndon and Nickerson have the ability to see considerable snaps as a rookie, though Trenton Cannon could be an X-factor very early if given the chance. However Fatukasi is going have an uphill battle to be a rotational defensive lineman and they weren’t able to address the holes on the offensive line or their receiving corps along with keeping away from linebackers. Darnold and Shepherd are the saving graces for the draft but the Jets have earned a B- for their picks.

440 HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS INCLUDING A RECENTLY DISCOVERED LETTER OF GEORGE WASHINGTON SELLING OFF 90 SLAVES TO BE AUCTIONED IN NEW YORK

 Yonkers, NY (BlackNews.com) -- A long-lost letter of George Washington, reporting on an auction he held of ninety Virginia slaves, will appear in a New York sale on his birthday, February 22, 2017. It is only the letter’s second appearance on the market since it was penned in 1774. Written by Washington on the very day that Thomas Paine arrived in America, the auction lasted ten days, including “two good blacksmiths, two carpenters, and an exceeding trusty and skillful wagoner.”

Selling the slaves for a friend who had served under him in the French & Indian War, Washington’s auction became a tortuous situation, occupying him for decades. The two-page letter shows Washington’s character – and provoked his stark conflict between America’s fight for freedom, and the evils of slavery. The very next day, Congress vowed to discontinue the slave trade.

From Washington’s experience in this letter, through his encounters with free black soldiers, the Revolution just months away, and to his legacy, his views on slavery changed. Offered separately: an 1848 reward poster for three black sisters escaped from slavery – in the nation’s capital. Fleeing bondage in Georgetown, D.C., the women, aged 13, 20, and 25, were servants of the owner of a factory making cloth for the U.S. government.

The three sisters, Harriet, Maria, and Susan Johnson, were evidently caught, and again enslaved, despite its abolition by then in Washington. In 1864, their liberty was paid for by Lincoln. * Two consecutive 1849 issues of the rare Philadelphia anti-slavery newspaper, The Pennsylvania Freeman: “ The District of Columbia, which is entirely under the control of the U.S. Congress, has upon its statute books some of the most barbarous laws that can be found against the colored people...A law in D.C., made by Congress, grants to any person that may wish for it, for...$400 per annum, the right to trade in human flesh under the very eyes of the Capitol....” ($325-475) ...

* Pay document for a recently-identified black soldier in the Revolutionary War, Kay Cambridge, signed with “His X Mark.” Also signing is William Lawrence, involved in America’s first spy ring, his wife once engaged to Nathan Hale. ($1600-2000) ...

* Exceptionally rare document paying an American Indian for fighting in the Revolution - under the leader of the fabled Green Mountain Boys. A Mohegan, Simon Georjoy fought at the historic Battle of Trenton, on Christmas Day 1776. ($950-1450) ...

* Unusual Revolutinary War bill of sale for a “Negro wench” – captured aboard a British privateer. The young girl’s seller, Capt. Samuel Lockwood, appears in a modern book on the attempted abduction of George Washington. ($450-600) ...

* Long 1837 letter of crusader against slavery in Africa, America – and India, Sir Thomas Buxton. The leader of the abolitionist movement in Parliament, despite poor health, he will not resign as long as the slave trade question remains unsettled. ($125-175) ...

* Reconstruction-era marriage certificate for Frank and Easter, two free blacks in Georgia – with a twist: it permits any “Jewish Minister” to join them in matrimony. ($160-200) ...

* Astonishing 23-page letter of Democrat James Denver, adventurer and founder of the Colorado city, on national politics in 1884: “...The corrupt practices that have been carried into the elections of the country exceed anything of the kind ever heard of before in America.” ($350-425) ...

* Very rare broadside of the Declaration of Independence, capturing its appearance before its ink faded from a previous printer’s mishandling. Until this broadside was printed on rice paper in 1843 by Peter Force, the physical appearance of the Declaration had remained a mystery to the American public. why was it that trenton - out of all the people nathan had ever met, or dealt with had the inexplicable talent to catch nathan alone & isolated? how was that fair? how could that possibly have been god's plan - as some would say it? it wasn't fricken' fair. it just ... why was this still happening?

trenton got what he wanted, all of it. he was free, there wasn't even a note in his file mentioning that incident & he'd shown nathan that .. yeah, he was stronger. good for him.

& yet he kept coming back, again & again.... & again. fine, maybe he'd investigated - once. but what this time? he hadn't even thought of trenton, why would he? he was nobody to him. a menace at best. that big-ass looming presence aside, he was just a man. just some alpha jock who thought he could take what he wanted because mommy spoiled him rotten.

the only way he could get anything was like this. by cornering his prey. trenton stood in his door, had closed it behind him & expertly - without looking, locked the door. thank god, he couldn't imagine patrick walking in on what was to follow. he knew it would. it wasn't the first time, it wouldn't be the last .... if he was to assume. he did know there was no escaping him. he was fast, but ... trenton had the door & nathan wasn't desperate enough to jump out the window & break his legs, or neck.

"or you can just fuck off and fuck your little wolf boyfriend." yes, he knew about elias. yes, he knew they live together. yes, he knew they fucked. he was at elias' apartment only once, but the stench had been unmistakable. "or did he dump you? he should. he can do so much better and he wouldn't even have to try." was he feeling feisty today? definitely.

he knew he wouldn't make it out of his office unscathed, so he might as well take prisoners on the way.

trenton, though - seemed less than pleased with his attitude, which.. was valid. he'd told him time & time again he preferred his omegas quiet & obedient. sucked to be him, because nathan felt like neither today. not without a fight. the alpha crossed the room in big strides, towering over the fox, who ...surprisingly .. still stood his ground. crimson came to claim golden, fangs came to intimidate & paws came to conquer, but gold .. would not be claimed today. the omega would not be intimidated today & yet ... paws very definitely would conquer today.

one wrapped around his throat - as was natural for them by now, trenton's favorite method to tame the wild fox & it squeezed. hard. the other, oh - that one made ridiculously quick progress in tearing every single button from his shirt until his chest was bared & claws could leave angry red trails down to his belt. fingers wrapped around the leather band that held his trousers in place ... trenton leaned down to growl against the shell of nathan's ear.

"hard way it is."

that was definitely a first in new haven. he'd been part of a lot of investigations in new haven, they had criminals living here - like any town did. any city. but certain accusations were just non-existent in new haven, especially those involving sexual intercourse. in a town full of people willing to have sex for absolutely no reason at all other than boredom, or someone's intoxicating scent - to find sexual assault on the header of his newest case… safe to say he was surprised. still, case was case & nathan always made sure to do his best work, secret little side-deals aside. he never let any criminal run free. nathan respected the law. protected it, had abandoned his family for it.

this case, though, would probably be the beginning of something new entirely. nathan was sat in the interrogation room, he knew the seats behind the glass where empty, so he was calm as he eyed the other. he wasn't .. arrested, per se, but the cops were coming for his head & if it was true what they sad, nathan had only small chances at actually boxing him out of that charge. still, seeing him… that strong musk that filled the room in the few minutes they'd been in it together, that jaw. yeah, he was going to work with that one. pleasantries were exchanged, nathan introduced himself & explained the situation. the official deal; trenton admitted his crimes & they'd go for a few years of jail. max.

but nathan, well - he had favors to offer beyond that. make trenton's life behind bars as comfortable as it possibly could be. for. a little something in return. nathan worked most of the week, the few hours he had off, he did paperwork or slept, so when the chance presented itself, he'd .. call in a favor or two. stress relief. feared & comfortable at court, dating wasn't easy. everybody profited from it.

"so.. what do you say? i scratch your back, you scratch mine? all you've got to do is nod. janitor's closet is barely across the hallway."

hands on the table, leaning down to be closer. well, what could he say? he'd done this once... or several times before.

so he thought.

had rehearsed his little speech about freedom & independence for days, had prepared for this moment to face the bear when time was due - in his most prepared stage, ready for battle & bracing for impact. although, was there enough bracing he could do when it came to trenton? he'd never met anybody so unhinged, yet so righteous & convinced he was doing god's work. in a sense. he knew trenton didn't believe in god. monsters had no gods.

nathan himself didn't believe in god either, he knew evolution was far superior to any religious belief, he also knew that no god would create trenton - not even the gods of the past. not even they could've been so cruel & stupid to let some...thing like him loose on the world. no, no way. some people, nathan thought - were best dumped in a deep, deep hole never to be seen again.

"i said ..i'm done. tell them if you want, tell everybody you fucked me, tell them i enjoyed it, i don't care."

but he'd been wrong to face him alone, public location or not, because trenton - he'd learned that lesson, should've known it wouldn't end well for him, trenton.. didn't accept no as an answer, ever. before nathan had finished his little speech, he found himself pinned, big-ass human paw wrapped firmly around his throat - as per goddamn usual, the other held his wrists above his head & he was sure trenton didn't even struggle keeping them both in one paw.

breath hot against his cheek, trenton's fangs grazed his ear as his growl reverberated between them. fear, his old friend had come to reclaim its throne within him even before that paw squeezed down on his throat. fingers trembled against the alpha's chest, they'd come to tug on his shirt, or his jacket - anything to get him off, but the result was the same as usual. fists came down on the other's chest, his shoulder, but all he had to do was squeeze & nathan went lax, fingers grappling at trenton's arms, fingers wound around his wrists, but - as per usual, it was to no avail.

regret was an emotion nathan was beginning to feel quite familiar with. it washed over him whenever he was in trenton's proximity, whenever he let the other ... do whatever he wanted with him. that one-time deal he thought he'd struck with the other for his own benefit had surely escalated into something that didn't benefit him at all. at least not in the way he'd expected it to go.

apparently trenton was stuck in the mindset that he, as an alpha - the superior gender & all that, could claim any piece of tail he felt like whenever he did & ... nathan was part of that surely impressive collection trenton had under his belt by now. every single time he brought another traveler home, he'd pass by his office - same building & whether nathan was free or not, trenton would step inside & .... well.

he wished trenton would inform him beforehand, so that he could clear his desk, but having to pick up everything they threw off felt like the minor discomfort. trenton had no gentleness within him - not for nathan at least, not when he stomped into nathan's workplace like he owned the place, grunted a little command - depending on what he felt like that day & however nathan decided, he'd find himself with a big paw on his back - or against his throat.

throat this time. squeezing just enough to remind him who called the shots, just enough to make him squirm with the need to breathe, but no sounds left his lips - not with trenton's paw on his mouth, rendering him practically, completely silent to the outside world. the screams he fucked out of him, the cries that came with every rough snap of his hips - the almost primal grunts that his body forced up his throat with the brutal intensity of every thrust, barely audible under the onslaught.

oh god, please don't let me die like this, torn suit pants - otherwise still dressed, his tie wrapped around the very same hand that played with his life as it saw fit, on his back with his legs spread almost willingly like he'd begged to be railed so hard he cried.

surprise written all across his face, including his eyes - his lips pulled into something between a smile & a word he didn't expect to ever fall between trenton & him. "thanks." he rasped, quietly, gripping the hem of his new acquisition tightly with one of his hands. knuckles bruised on the other, still. his last encounter with trenton didn't lay too far in the past. new bruises on his torso & thighs would join the impressive collection he already had going on his skin.

"yeah...yeah, i will." little nod, eyes still on the other's. would he ever set foot into this place? hopefully not. would he limp his way home with torn trousers, hoping to get back before the sun rose fully? yep.
