everyone wants to debate what Adrien does when he grows up, but I would like to propose an idea. Bodyguard Adrien.

just think about it. After Gabriel dies, Nathalie takes over as his guardian alongside Amelie and The Gorilla, and since she’s wracked with guilt she’s a bit of a push over for Adrien. So when Adrien gets closer to the Goriila cause he craves paternal affection, and decides he wants to be a bodyguard, she’s like, okay fine. You can take some self defense classes.

A list of Miraculous headcanons a friend and I have collected over time of indecently chattering about Miraculous Ladybug. Despite the fact, we both hate it and haven't seen most of the series.

Nathalie is the daughter of an Italian crime family

She left to work for her friends Gabriel and Emilie but still keeps close contacts with her family(For "Emergencies")

Nathalie has made a few people "disappear" as needed over the years

Both by her own hands and by calling in a favor from one of her brothers or cousins

Gorilla is Russian which is why he never speaks since he barely understands a word of French

Gorilla got into some big trouble as a young man and ended up having to get saved by Nathalie's family which landed him in debt to them and working for the family

Gorilla has known Nathalie since she was a little girl

Gorilla has nicknames for a lot of the other characters

Little Bird - Nathalie, Little Red - Marinette, Candy Cane Fashion Man - Gabriel, Little Cat Boy - Adrien

Nathalie dragged Gorilla with her to Paris when she went to work for the Agrestes, against Gorilla's wishes

Gorilla didn't like the French, calling them "Baggette munching surrender monkeys"

That was until he walked into the Dupain-Cheng bakery and met the most imposing Frenchman he'd ever seen in Tom

Then immediately followed by getting hit in the face with a baker's peel by Sabine who saw a giant silent man rushing at her husband and the register and reacted as so(Gorilla wanted to greet Tom but was too intimidating for his own good)

Marinette has only recently come to Paris and so still speaks very little French

She is adorable and struggling but getting along, especially after befriending Adrien

Adrien is helping Marinette to get better at French since he also speaks Mandarin Chinese and is pretty familiar with being surrounded by other languages he doesn't know

Adrien speaks French, not-perfect Mandarin, and a bit of Italian and Russian

So Adrien has regularly had the experience since of catching only a few words as Nathalie yells at Gorilla in Italian, Gorilla argues back in Russian, Marinette asks a million questions in Mandarin, and Gabriel is loudly bewildered in French

Gorilla respects Marinette since her parents are awesome and she also is a confused foreigner who cannot speak French

They sometimes just nonverbally communicate at each other

Think random finger guns and knowing nods

Gorilla and Nathalie chauffeur Adrien and Marinette on their silliness both as a part of their job and to escape Gabriel

This is less of a headcanon and more of just a shared fact that neither of us trusts Emilie. That bitch is up to something in her casket

Gorilla has given the kids alcohol before since in Russia, they would be able to drink.

"A little part of Russia, come with me~," he says, as he's about to give two teenagers vodka.

Gorilla once got akumatized into a Russian themed villain. But all he did was take over the Agreste mansion, make it look like the St Basil's Cathedral, throw Gabriel into the basement with a note on the door that just says "Makeshift Gulag", and make sure Adrien has a good day.

Ladybug was very hesitant to let Gabriel out of the basement

Especially after Akumatized Gorilla kindly invited Marinette's family over for dinner

It was a very interesting day

Really It's more of an AU at this point but most of them are applicable to canon.

• nathalie made the first move

• the first time they hooked up was when amelie and felix came to visit on the anniversary of emilie’s “disappearance”

• amelie always thought nathalie was attractive but never acted on it due to her being with c*lt

• took them awhile to actually be properly together, with nathalie recovering from everything gabriel put her thru and not wanting to jump into anything new

• amelie is the more touchier/possessive one out of them (ie: in a universe that gabriel lives, she always makes sure that she’s holding nathalie’s hand and is shameless in kissing her in front of him)

• félix was absolutely against them dating at first (hates the idea of anyone taking his mom away) but eventually warmed up to nathalie (won’t admit it tho but he calls them both his moms)

• they had a very small wedding (an elopement, amelie didn’t want something huge after c*lt.) their only guests were félix and adrien, who planned their “after-party”

• FIRM believer that after their wedding they danced to margaret by lana del rey

• they both practice new languages together, and switch tongues in the middle of conversations sometimes (confuses their sons)

• amelie calls their house a “cottage” (it is literally three stories)

Headcanon time!! Let’s take a look at our boy, Adrien. A popular notion is that he has depression. As someone with depression, I know for a fact that depression can lead to stress and lack of sleep, which can take a toll on the body. Dark circles under the eyes are no exception. So what do you all think? Does our poor sunshine boy hide dark circles with modeling makeup, or is he consistent enough with his sleep schedule to avoid that sort of thing?

“That’s enough!” Monarch yelled as he stomped across the room. He grabbed Nathalie’s wrist and attempted to pull her to him. “You and I are leaving now.”

“Gabriel?” she exclaimed. She stuttered the first words of a dozen questions while she struggled against his grip. “What are you doing here?” she said as she finally freed herself, only for him to take her upper arm.

“I should ask you the same question.”

“Let go of her.” Gabriel shouted.

“Mind your own damn business.”

Monarch’s glare and harsh tone was enough to make Gabriel step backwards from where he had stood. He wasn’t going to give up yet, but it was clear that with fifteen miraculous against one, fighting Monarch wasn’t the smart choice. He’d keep his distance and consider de-escalation instead. Nathalie, on the other hand, had no such restraint left.

“Gabriel, stop! I want to help you!” she tried.

“By abandoning me and now plotting against me with my enemies? I can’t allow you to do that, so you’re coming with me. Orikko—!”

Even from her position still sitting down, Nathalie was able to hit Monarch in the stomach with her elbow, take the thumb ring from his hand that loosened around her arm, and push him back. It wasn’t a very strong shove, but it made him stumble.

He slumped forward, recovering his breath. Nathalie noted he was not yet used to having all the power of the jewels combined.

“Gabriel—.”

“I thought you’d be the one to understand me,” he said between panting.

“I understand you. That’s why I know that this isn’t right for you. It’s not what Emilie would have wanted. You understand that, too.”

Monarch shook his head as he looked downwards, avoiding eye contact. After a moment he swallowed and struggled to begin speaking. “I no longer have a choice.”

He didn’t give Nathalie a chance to contradict him as he said the words to detransform. Then he pulled his sleeve back to reveal the black handprint on his arm.

Nathalie barely moved, except for her lip trembling and her eyes welling up. As if for once it took real effort for her to maintain a brave face. Gabriel could hear her steadying breaths as she took the information in.

“So… we’re both dying.”

“What?” the Gabriel in lavender exclaimed.

“It’s… a long story.”

She took Gabriel’s hand in hers to examine the wound. The surface of the handprint was slowly expanding. It was almost imperceptible, until one focused on the position of the edges long enough.

“We need that wish,” he murmured.

Nathalie looked up to his eyes, where the strong determination she was used to had shifted to resignation. Then she spotted the crowd of kwamis hiding behind his back. She looked back at him. “Take them off.”

He closed his eyes and his nose scrunched up only for a fraction of a second, before he did begin to take the pieces of jewelry off and to lay them on the coffee table. As he removed the miraculous one by one, the kwamis were absorbed into them, until only Nooroo was left. Gabriel didn’t take the brooch off.

Once he was done, he took a deep breath and fell onto a chair across from the couch. “So what do you want me to do? I have no option but to keep going, even now that I have all those stupid creatures I can’t do anything without the wish. They’re all useless!”

Nathalie looked at the golden rooster talon in her hand. She put it on and watched it transform into two silver rings connected by a chain. The rooster kwami appeared in front of her. She remembered this was the one who could give the holder the power of their choice.

“You really can’t heal us?”

The bird looked from Gabriel to her. “What do you have?”

“I am ill from the broken peacock miraculous,” she reluctantly confessed.

Orikko frowned at her answer. “Well… I don’t know much about that, but at least about the cataclysm there’s nothing I can do because those healing abilities correspond to the power of creation, and, as we already told Mr. Gabriel, we can’t duplicate another kwami’s power.”

“But we’ve done that with akumatized villains many times.”

“Yes,” Nooroo interceded, “but they always had less strength and more limitations than the power they mimicked, unless you’d akumatize someone with a miraculous, in which case it was the same power the holder already possessed that would become enhanced along with their emotions.”

“You’ve used your powers on miraculous holders before?” alternate Gabriel asked.

“Indeed,” Nathalie replied for Gabriel. “The time Mr. Agreste discovered he could do that was quite a day.”

Gabriel recognized the biting tone of her voice, since he once again steeled his expression and directed his eyes away from her. Nathalie could only hope he would acknowledge that not keeping his promise to give up that day had been a mistake.

“A waste either way,” he grumbled. “They’re just as erratic and untrustworthy as the rest,” he turned to Nooroo, “even though you told me anyone I gave powers to would be “my devout servant”.”

“They were, Master, but humans are always driven by their emotions before anything else, and since we use those to power their magic, there’s nothing I can do.”

“Useless creature.”

“I don’t think your failure to achieve an impossible goal should be blamed on Nooroo,” the other Gabriel defended.

Gabriel gripped the armrests of his chair with white knuckles, clearly only restraining himself because of his exhaustion and Nathalie’s warning glare. “You know nothing about it. Besides, I might have not won against those brats but at least I haven’t lost to them either.”

“I’m just saying,” he lifted his hands in sign of surrender, “my allies have been nothing but reliable every time.”

“How? People’s stupid feelings are volatile and beyond anyone’s control, like Nooroo said.”

“If I may,” Nathalie interrupted. “I think it has to do with your approach. The anger or despair Hawk Moth used are much stronger emotions than others, but they shift focus quickly and are difficult to manage.” She took one of the books she had around and browsed it as she continued. “Positive emotions might not be immediately impactful or destructive but they can last for longer and can be effectively directed to a single target.”

“So what you’re saying,” alternate Gabriel said as he sat down next to her, “is that if we could draw from positive and negative emotions at once we could create a power that is both potent and stable?”

He looked at Nooroo towards the end of his question. The kwami explained that each butterfly can only latch on to one emotion, and emotions that are in the middle of the classification aren’t usually strong enough to actually fuel the magic.

“But what if there were two butterflies?” Gabriel asked.

Nooroo’s eyes widened as both men made eye contact for the first time. He seemed to have reservations about the idea, but he didn’t contradict it right away.

“It wouldn’t be the Ultimate Power, for sure,” Orikko cut in, looking pointedly at Gabriel, “and you wouldn’t be able to rewrite destiny, but…”

“But we could still create something mightier than anything we’ve seen before.” Gabriel’s face illuminated.

Before he could get any ideas, Nathalie reached out to take his hand and get his attention. “This is a unique chance, Gabriel. We shouldn’t risk it testing Ladybug’s luck. Let us try something first. I have an idea.”

Apparently Gabriel had learned from his mistake of the night before, or maybe his head was clearer now that he didn’t have all those miraculous on, because he held his breath and nodded. “I understand. I trust you.”

Hesperia (Betterfly) Headcanons

Note: I always wonder where the name Hesperia came from. Like is it just a fandom thing? Eh whatever I like it better than Betterfly lol.

He spends his spare time writing out motivational speeches that he usually ends up spewing out in the midst of battles with villains thinking that maybe they’ll change for the better

Is the type of guy to stop and drop everything to save an old lady’s cat from being stuck in a tree

Loves hot tea and energy drinks

Uses his superhero abilities to keep an eye on his loved ones (mostly Adrien)

He makes concept art and designs costumes for himself and other members of The Resistance

He cares for all his little kamiko’s and keeps them in his own personal butterfly garden

Even though he knows he shouldn’t he doesn’t use all his strength when fighting against Shadybug and Claw Noir because he knows they’re just kids and doesn’t want to hurt them

Has a whole collection of DC superhero comics

He tried to get Adrien to have an interest in superhero’s and the miraculous but stopped when he realized Adrien had more of a liking towards the villains

He tried to never fall in love again because of his never ending guilt of being responsible for Emilie’s death

He’d overly sensitive and optimistic

When he met Chat Noir for the first time he couldn’t help but be reminded of his own son Adrien

He tries not to but can’t help but read all the tabloids involving him

He is married to Nathalie Sancoeur she is the only person who is aware of his secret life as a hero

When he went to Ladybug and Chat Noir’s universe he couldn’t help but go and check on that world’s version of Nathalie. Seeing his lover ill (even if they weren’t lovers in that universe) broke him and he didn’t want to leave

Hesperia doesn’t allow his loved ones to join The Resistance because he fears it’s too dangerous

Hesperia once saved Adrien’s life which made the angsty teenager quite annoyed

Nathalie once stole the butterfly miraculous while Hesperia was sleeping to try it on in an attempt to seduce him. When he woke up he thought she was a villain and tried to attack her. Nathalie never used the miraculous after that

Is jealous of Shadybug’s really awesome outfit

Nathalie often scolds Hesperia when he comes home all bruised and beat up

He plays with Adrien’s video games when he’s not home because he wants to study “fighting strategies” — he’s addicted

Whenever he has to go out on a mission at night he has to leave very quietly otherwise Nathalie will stop him

He made a little tiny bed for his kwami Nooroo to sleep in

1. Childhood headcanon

When she was little, Nathalie liked to read all kind of books, but her favourite were about Mythologies, especially the Egyptian Myth. Her parents had given her a whole collection set "kids friendly" version of them. And when she was about 7-8 years old, they had to draw a picture and Nathalie really wanted to illustrate a scene from the Egyptien Mythology... and her teacher kinda freaked out seeing it and stared at her in horror. She was kinda confused and said "It's the Goddess Isis trying to save her husband Osiris, she's trying to patch him up???" and the teacher was a tiny bit relieved, even if they were still disturbed by how anatomically correct the cut body was.

I love thinking about Gabriel having empathetic abilities that span all of Paris while he’s looking for some one to akumatize. Like if he masked up and has to sift through all of Paris’ emotions to find the perfect target.

How did they get together? - I envision a scenario in which they manipulate each other to the point of believing they're both tricking the other. As adults, they may end up together.

How long would they last? - I'm not entirely certain. In my own AU of the future, they do eventually get married, but it's not necessarily a healthy relationship. As I mentioned before, both individuals manipulate each other and remain in the marriage only for their own benefit. I plan to explain this more elaborately, but I'm stuck right now lol

How did they get together? I imagine them getting together in a Queen Trilogy AU setting where Gabriel truly gave up on Emillie, moved on, and focused on taking care of his son. Maybe if THAT happened and he tried to change, then maybe the two could have a genuine and healthy relationship.
