I know there are terrible Usagi-clone, Mary-Sue Sailor Moon OCs out there. But what gets me is when OC ‘critique’ blogs use the fact they have odangos as a way of pointing out they’re a Mary Sue. I don’t know how long it’s been since any of y’all read the manga or watched the anime but A LOT of characters have some form of odango hair style because it was a style that meant a lot to Naoko Takeuchi (it was her good luck charm for exams.).
