Alright so as far as introductions go, I guess I should probably make one before I get too far into this.

HERES MY ABOUT ME POST!

My name's Leonardo, and you can call me any version of that that you want (Leo, Leon, Leonard, Nardo[my favorite], either way, it's all the same to me.) My pronouns are He/Him. I am an artist, author, animator, and a DEDICATED CLAWCODE ENTHUSIST (Hence the name)

I am also VERY autistic and don't get tone a lot, so tone tags are very important to me, especially when there's joking or sarcasm involved.

I know the Spiderverse Fandom isn't particularly alive (SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP) but I will try to post often, even if it's just a shitpost here and there. I really want to help feed into the ClawCode brain rot since the content for these two is SEVERELY FUCKING LACKING. So. If you have requests for things, I will probably end up doing them! My asks are always open, and I'd love to hear from anybody. I don't have any friends that love them the way that I do 😔😔

I have not had Tumblr before! Which is a little insane, so I'm new to all of this and learning how everything works. Please forgive me if I don't know the proper etiquette on this app lmao. My friend has been guiding me through all of this and told me to make an About Me post, so that's what I'm doing.

Yapping Hour - Will either be used for headcanons, or short stories/ideas/other ClawCode related crap. It's just going to be a general tag that will probably go on most of my posts from here on out.

Slur Gallery - Will be of the art I post of them, be it ship art or other :3 because everybody deserves a gallery of slurs to look at. AND JUST LOOK AT THEM!

Earworm - Is the tag I'll use when there's music involved, like songs that remind me of them (and the heavy analysis that goes with it **COMING SOON**), or animatics that I'm working on, or just anything that has to do with a song. Edits, artworks, the whole shebang.

Talkaholic - This will ALSO be used for mini stories/facfics, but more often than the yapping hour. So if you wanna read my writing of them that's what you can find it under.

Offline - will be under posts like these, where it isn't directly related to anything, just random blocks of text or other art that I feel like posting.

Oil And Water - THIS tag will be about the fanfic I am currently (excruciatingly slowly) writing! It doesn't have a happy ending and is meant to be a HEAVY angst story, like hurt/no comfort or very little comfort. I have one chapter out currently but will be working on more soon (and will make a separate post about it! But I will link it here as well. MOTIVATE ME TO WRITE IT /HJ)

OOC - On the chance that I might make something intentionally out of character, I will put this beneath it. I know a lot of people don't like mischaracterization, or incorrect portrayal of a character, but sometimes it's really fun to write, so I will be including that was well.

So How did Y/n react/meet April?

summary: So in my headcannon April and Y/n met after the turtles kept sneaking out of the Lair for an unknown reason.

Raph Leo Mikey Donnie Y/n April

The turtles tip toe inside the lair trying there hardest not to make a sound. It was dark and it was 4 am.

"Guys remember be quiet! We don't wanna wake up mom or else we're done for."

Raph said in a whispery tone.

"Lets hope mom isn't already awake. She should be getting up soon to start breakfast."

"Lets make sure we get to bed muy rapido before then so mom doesn't realizes we snuck out."

"Too late boys."

The brothers instantly turn to see Y/n sitting on the couch with an annoyed and tired look.

"Look mom its not what it looks like- "

Y/n raises an eyebrow looking for an explanation.

"Okay it is what it seems like."

"Mother I had absolutely nothing to do with this they dragged me along. Plus it was Leo's idea to sneak out."

"What the- Donnie!"

"I don't care who's Idea it was to sneak out. The fact of the matter is you all snuck out and I want an explanation."

"Alright fine. You know how you said to stay hidden and whatnot? Well we may have been spotted by a human"

"I'm sorry you were what?"

"Its alright though cause the were totally cool with us and everything! We're friends with them!"

"And how long ago was this?"

".....Around a year ago?"

"And you've been sneaking out why? To see them?"

"Sort of?"

Y/n sighs, clearly annoyed.

"Well who are they?"

"Her name is April and she's really cool and nice and funny!"

Y/n begins smirking with a teasing expression.

"So you've all been sneaking out to see a girl?"

"Don't say it like that! She's just our friend that happens to be a girl!"

"Sure she is."

Mikey gasps as an idea pops in his head.

"We should get you to meet her! Trust me you'll absolutely love her!"

"Oh i'd love to meet her. Since you boys obviously are so fond of her i'd love to see what the hype is all about."

"Trust us you're gonna love April! She's awesome! She's even gotten Donnie to open up to her in like a month!"

"Oh wow that's impressive. Took me two years to get Donnie to actually tolerate me. Lemme guess did he tried to bite her and hissed at her when they met?"

"Oh haha very funny."

"No he didn't but that's cause he was interested in interacting with a human that wasn't you for the first time. He had so many questions for her he practically took up most of her time when they met. Speaking of meeting, Donnie text April to meet us in the Alley near the Tony Lou's Pizza place after she's done with that school thing she keeps talking about."

Donnie waves his phone gently.

"Already 2 steps ahead of you Nardo. She asks why though. What should I tell her?"

"Tell her we want her to meet someone."

"Alright and sent."

"Tell you what boys. I'll let you guys off the hook if I like your new friend. But if I don't you're all grounded."

"Alright fair."

TIMESKIP

Now its the next day. The boys wait patiently with Y/n in the alley near the Tony Lou's Pizza place. Then a dark skin girl with glasses, brown hair and a green jacket runs in.

"Sorry It took so long. I got held back to finish a science project."

"And you didn't ask me to help? I feel offended."

"No offense Dee but I kinda don't want my project to turn into a killing machine again."

"I have never done such a thing before."

"Sure you haven't. Now who did you guys want me to meet?"

The boys move to the side to reveal Y/n.

"April. This is the wonderful woman who raised us. Our mom. If you wanted to know where Donnie got his oh so lovable sarcasm she's the woman to blame."

Y/n walks up to April and examines her with an unreadable expression.

"Oh um... Its nice to meet you Ma'am. I'm April, April O'Neil."

April holds out her hand nervously to shake Y/n's.

"So you're the girl the boys kept talking about all night? With all that yapping they did they failed to mention how absolutely beautiful you are!"

Y/n's smiles and shakes her hand.

"Names Y/n but please call me mom or ma dear."

April smiles, her nervous expression drops completely.

"Oh. Alright!"

"Oh wow deary you are way too skinny. Please join us for dinner at the Lair."

"I'd love to! The turtles constantly brag about how good your cooking is! They even brought some left overs of it when I forgot my lunch and asked Donnie to bring me some food."

"Oh so that's where the left overs went?"

"I am not sorry in the slightest this woman had not tasted really food until they tried yours."

"Tell you what April. I will personally make you lunch and have one of the boys deliver it to you."

"Oh I'd love that! Thanks Ma!"

"You're welcome. Now lets get going to the lair. If you thought my left overs were good then wait till you start trying food when its off the stove. Trust me its way better. Especially since I made it extra special since I'd already assumed you were coming over anyways."

"You already had me at extra special. Lets go!"

Timeskip to night time.

Dinner was over and April was laying back in her chair, rubbing her stomach.

"Good right?"

"I'd never thought i'd ever have food better than Mikeys. I was proved wrong."

"Who do you think I learned it from? Trust me I know I'm good but this woman is a whole other species of good."

Y/n walks in with a tub of Ice cream.

"Everyone ready for dessert?"

"Im going to leave with a stomach bigger than a whales aren't I?"

"Yup. Hope you saved some room."

"Don't worry April. I know you can't have any more food since your stomach is so small compared to the boys so I'll just pack some in a container for you so you can have it later."

"Thanks ma. You're awesome."

April checks her phone.

"Oh I gotta get home. I'll see you guys later. Thanks for the meal and lovely night ma'am! Bye!"

April gets up and runs off the turtles look at Y/n.

"So what do you think of April?"

"Yeah are we grounded or not?"

"She's a wonderful young lady. I can see why you guys like her. And no you aren't grounded. But please stop sneaking out. I don't like not knowing where my boys are."

I appreciate your art because you draw itachi and sasuke as japanese which is how they should be drawn. Something I've noticed amongst the popular anime artists on tumblr is how many of them refuse to draw anime characters as japanese. It's whitewashing itachi. I can't count how many artists whitewash anime to the point where the characters are unrecognizable. But your art is special to me because itachi still looks like japanese manga itachi. There was a huge controversy in the fandom over this a while back (in the sns fandom) and while I don't support bullying the popular artists still refuse to draw itachi sasuke and naruto in their normal japanese form. This is racism, plain and simple. Naruto has blond hair and blue eyes but he is still japanese. But I understand if that's their style of art. I also wanted to ask are you open to commissions? You're a gem in the fandom and your positivity is so refreshing ❤

You know, anon, that means a lot to me. When I got your request I had to let out a laugh because at this very moment, I was on one of my overthinking tirades, wondering if I do Itachi and Sasuke (and by extension Shisui) justice. When I draw them, my style is often a mix of my own and Kishimoto’s style, the “ratio” depends on whether I’m using a reference or not. Of course, there are other factors too, like my mood or even the time of the day.

So when your ask came in, it kinda made my day. I know I say that a lot, but I mean it every time.

and since hot bitches don’t gatekeep, I suggest you give this blog (@atoriv-art) a try. They draw the Naruto cast with Japanese/East Asian features, even more so than I do. And the way they draw hair is just 😘👌

As for drawing characters with their respective features, I don’t think it’s malicious. When I started out with drawing, I wasn’t very secure in my ability to draw ethnically diverse characters (apart from black characters) so while I did it, I never posted it. But I agree that ignorance isn’t really an excuse to exempt yourself from learning how to draw different ethnicities, there are resources available online.

This whole topic also shows the extent that white supremacy (hear me out on that) has on seemingly unpolitical things like art. “White” is seen as the (beauty) standard while POC are the exceptions, the exotics. When learning anatomy, most models are white, or have been modeled after white people. We should rethink how we learn and teach art, and not teach artists how to draw (white) anatomy and then how to draw POC but how to draw HUMAN anatomy.

And to answer your questions, I don’t do commissions (yet) because of my terrible time management skills (I once took three months to finish an art trade) but people keep asking me, so I have to go with the unsatisfying answer: Maybe in the future.

HELIOS' EMBEDDED WITHIN CERULEAN , GENTLE WARMTH it was the will of the fire burning deep within itachi that resonated between them. blond's smile genuine, small & vulnerable as they walk. he wouldn't have thought that such an opportunity would ever present itself not with how they've met / how their positions had been decided to be by circumstances both out of their hands. yet, naruto was grateful. learning of WHAT DARKNESS had lurked in konoha had opened his eyes to a lot. made him wonder. he was still asking whenever there was a time to do so, to learn & listen. the want to understand & the need to see behind carefully crafted half truth / lies has been ever present. there was a lot to UNVEIL still. teens smile faded when the uchiha replied though, a heavy feeling settling 'pon big heart.

❛  i think i understand that . ❜ it was a soft admission, voice leaden / dull. the past & what it had set in motion was on naruto's mind a lot. many had SUFFERED GREATLY . some have lost way too much. being able to wonder in the great scheme of things seemed to be a LUXURY to some the conclusion unforgiving. his mind used to race, guilt tasting like bile 'pon jinchurikis tongue. ( the weight of the world ) even in midst of all of this, naruto was grateful for a little peace.

GIVE IT TIME . /

Then again, for someone who'd also firmly expected [hoped, in the most twisted of ways] to have died by his little brother's hand, maybe he ought to be getting used to the subversion of expectations. If life had taught him anything, at this point, it was that the gods did what the gods willed.

ㅤSaid in a gentle tone, never mind the heavy implications that such a simple sentence came laced with. If you stop to consider even the slightest chance that maybe choosing to murder your own parents might not have been the best option, you're dooming yourself on that very same second. He did not fault Naruto for asking, however. It was only natural, to feel curious about what had to be one of the most infamous events in shinobi history. If anything, it was a quiet breath of laughter that he had to offer in response, as he followed after the teen with the sort of dexterity and security that no blind person had the right to have. Practice makes perfect, even in this.
