Thanks for sharing your viewpoint, it’s very interesting to hear.

My intent with this blog was always to warn people about the sort of person Dobson is, because I don’t think anyone wants someone their side who’s only doing so to make themselves look good or to use you as a shield. It’s also served as a good warning to other artists, as you said, as how not to treat your audience or your art career as a whole.

I won’t sit here and pretend I’m some super-morally just person or anything either. Obviously I’m harsher on Dobson more than other due to what I know about him, and a blog like this is always going to come across as sketchy to some people. I do hope it has helped at least some people in regards to either dealing with Dobson/people like him or improving your own artistic endeavors.

Or maybe you just enjoy seeing a shitty guy get called out and his hypocrisy exposed, and that’s cool too.

This isn't true anymore. This isn't a given in these conversations anymore. I'm giving you the fullest benefit of the doubt in your sincerity here.

Recent bills passed in Florida broadened that bill massively, to include a number of additional things and to generally create a bridge to what is stated above.

"Adult Live Performance" was redefined to include "presentation in front of a live audience", but there is no accompanying definition of audience, presenting, or a limit as to what the scope of the bill is. Money doesn't need to change hands. There doesn't need to be a schedule, or a manager, or even a location or address. It doesn't need to be advertised in any way, or stage names used, or anything like that. If you're unaware, "performance" and "presenting" are the literal words used within in reference to trans and drag people ("female-presenting nipple", for example).

It adds the phrase "lewd conduct" to the law, which is a problem considering florida and republican lawmakers/politicians have said that drag is inherently lewd and sexual, but doesn't define lewd itself. This from an administration that believes being trans or in drag is explicitly and inherently sexual/lewd, the legal backing for the "talking about queer people in school is sexualizing our kids." line.

Adds additional text stating that, in addition to the above, one of the deciding factors for criminality is if it is "patently offensive to the prevailing standards of the adult community." In a state that is in the thrust of a "The Queers are sexualizing our kids" movement.

It states that even if you don't intend or know of any children present, if you believe there might be kids present you can't do it. So unless there is literally a security checkpoint around the entire space you plan to be publicly-trans in you cannot remove the possibility that a child might see you.



These bills are in the context of an openly anti-lgbt state, redefining laws in ways that explicitly broaden the scope of the law to be the effective legal equivalent of "anything in public", make it harder to defend yourself in court, and redefine the act to be a sex-crime and a crime against children. Which is being pushed simultaneously to a move to make sex-crimes and sex-crimes against children punishable by death.

It was already illegal to allow kids into adult showings and performances. This doesn't do what it says on the tin.

A sign of economic and supply line recovery post pandemic.

All the insane flavours of chips and such went on limited production because people weren't buying them to experiment and supply bottlenecks were making some of the ingredients tough to get anyhow.

So they stuck to the basics with lots and lots of foods, if we've taken the leap across the grand canyon from nacho cheese and cool ranch to this I take it as a very good sign.

Granted it's also an abomination and anyone that buys this should feel shame so there's that too.
