I commissioned @nanihoosartblog to do one of the minor magical girls from “Mahou Shoujo Site.”

This is one of the girls approached by Kayo and Sakaki while they were making allies and stocking up Kayo’s compact. Apparently, this girl’s Stick is a drum that has temperature manipulating powers.

This... is understandably an odd power to have, but I’m a fan of odd powers and I liked her design.

So I think you’re right 🤍However, I couldn’t find the image on their DeviantArt blog but the style looks familiar and it would fit into their Loki/Sigyn series.

My latest Multiverse commission from @nanigram is Earth-27C’s Wildflower, a.k.a. Willow Harper

Inspired from Yukari Sakaki of “Higanbana no Saku Yoru Ni,” Willow is 27C’s version of Lian Harper. On this world Roy and Jade are both heroes, Feathertop and Glass Cat, and they’re married. They were members of a super team called the Shadow Hunters, a good version of Deathstroke’s bastard Titans team (Osiris, Cinder, Tattooed Man, etc.). The two left the hero business after one mission ended with Roy losing an arm and getting blinded in his right eye.

Willow’s home life suffered due to Roy’s injuries and for a while the strain led to him and Jade separating. As a result of this neglect, Willow was going to school in dirty clothes and without lunch. Her grades were going down and she was now being bullied. Eventually Willow had enough and called her parents out for what was happening to their home life and how it was affecting her. While things improved and her parents are back together at home, Willow was still being bullied in school.

Instead of being an archer like Sunbeam, Wildflower’s a Supergirl-esque heroine with strength and the ability to fly. She received her powers from Charity and Morning Glory of the Academy of Night. The two like to bestow powers upon the weak and victimized to weed out potential supervillains and have them destroy each other. As Wildflower, Willow’s become the tyrant of her school and is stomping out any potential bullies and supervillains by terrorizing them into behaving. She has no idea how long she’ll have her powers, but she’ll use them to prevent anyone else from being victimized.

She’s gained a small group of devoted friends who’re also kid heroes, such as Pointer (Stephanie Brown), Trinculo’s Daughter (Della Dent), Zap (Melanie Thawne), and Moray (Jackson Hyde).

I’ve seen an edit in the Logyn tag and... I’m really liking the idea of a cdrama/movie actress as a fancast for Sigyn. 

God knows there are enough Wuxia shows/movies to get the edit material from.

Purple wins?

So- as it is now it looks like purple is the color we will be going for as the reader’s signature color!  I’m waiting till friday next week  (27th) to say it’s decided, but in the mean time I decided I wanted to draft up some ideas for the outfits just for the fun of it- so I wanted to share! 

Below the lower bit is some info on how i went about this if you’re interested- but im looking to make 3 or 4 formal outfits, and 3 or 4 more casual outfits. the ones above are in the more formal catagory. The one on the far right um... pushes things a bit (lol) but without the gold chainwork its a bit less.... kinky. curious houw yall feel! 

So, there are a million lovely gowns out there that can be found on Pinterest etc, but I wanted something bespoke for us! Something that would fit naturally in with the MCU vision of Asgard (as much as I can manage lol). So I started off by going through the films, and whatever concept art i could get my hands on so i could collect some ideas on how Asgardian’s dress

And yes, I did sit in front of my screen and take manual pictures of outfits in the movies-because you cant screenshot disney+, your shot just turns out black...

From what I found, it all seems like a mesh of Grecoroman/Asian/Bondage inspired clothing, with a little bit of celtic and norse influence here and there. It was also helpful that ragnarock had some concept art for loki that included a purple color scheme, so I could pull from that a bit. 

Then i ran through and grabbed some ref of concept art i liked and felt fit the world, or that had little elements i wanted to incorperate into the outfits.

Note that the entire upper lefthand corner is just things from Nanihoo- i highly reccommend looking at her Loki/Sygin stuff, its amazing. 

Once i had some solid refs, i grabbed some purple color palates and started in on making these!

On top of everything above, i also wanted to incorperate bits of Loki’s garments into them. He pretty consistantly has the woven leather motif, and gold accents- particularly ones in a sort of “v” shape. So im trying to keep those in as much as possible. 

Again, curious to hear yalls thoughts!!!

I already know the answer to my own question but I'll ask anyways because your writting is entertaining; How would the Rennala/Radagon and Godfrey/Marika poly react and act accordingly to hearing someone saying under their breath that their significant other/Consort is a 'Glorified concubine'?

Would have added the demigods but the pairings above makes more sense with it being a polyamorous relationship (Rykard could also work but 🤷)

Rennala & Radagon

Their consort is the himbo/thembo of consorts. As such, they won't connect the dots that the comment was said about them.

So what do they do? Unintentionally insult Radagon of course because he's not a concubine. How dare they sully his honor and reputation.

"Stay your tongue, fool. Radagon is your king, not a 'glorified' concubine."

An awkward silence ensues among those in attendance, Radagon looks at Rennala like "what the hell?" and Rennala is trying her damndest not to laugh at her husband.

Godfrey & Marika

It's so silent you can hear a pin drop.

Godfrey, Marika, and Serosh are also channeling their inner Tywin Lannister and staring the person down.

In fact, they're staring the person down so much that they get uncomfortable and excuse themselves.

Afterward, Marika summons Maliketh to fuck with them.

And by fuck with them, he really just roars outside their window or some shit so they won't sleep.

Affectionate kisses and reassurances are given once they're in the comfort of their private chambers.

Sigyn Meta: Who is Sigyn?

A Norse Goddess who is known for being the wife of the Trickster, Loki, and holding the bowl to protect him from the snake’s venom. 

But besides that, Who is Sigyn? What does she mean to others? 

Journey with me as we explore who she is -- not only in the mythologies, but in other forms like the Marvel Comics, Worship and through fans.

Sigyn’s Origins (Mythology):

Sadly, not many stories that have Sigyn in them have survived till today. She is only attested in the following works: Poetic Edda & Prose Edda. 

In the poem, Lokasenna, the most famous of poem’s with the couple, it talks of how Loki has been bound by the gods with the guts of his son, Nari, and how his son, Vari, has been turned into a wolf. The Goddess Skadi fastens a venomous snake over Loki’s face, from which venom drips. Sigyn, stated as Loki’s wife, stays by his side and holds a basin under and catches the venom so it won’t drip onto her husband, but when the basin grows full, she pulls it away to empty it, during which time venom drops onto Loki, causing him to wither so violently that earthquakes occur that shake the entire earth.

In the poem, Gylfaginning, Sigyn is introduced in Chapter 31 as being married to Loki and that they have a son by the name of “Narfi or Nari”. She is then mentioned again in Chapter 50 where events are described differently than in Lokasenna; Vali, described as a son of Loki only, is changed into a wolf by the gods and rips apart his brother, “Narfi or Nari.” The guts of Nari are then used to tie Loki to three stones, after which the guts turn to iron, and Skadi places a snake above Loki. Sigyn of course catches the venom in a bowl. This process is repeated until he breaks free, setting Ragnarok into motion.

In the poem, Skáldskaparmál, Sigyn is introduced as a goddess, an Æsir, where the gods are holding a feast for their visitors and in kennings for Loki: “husband of Sigyn” and “cargo [Loki] of incantation-fetter’s [Sigyn’s] arms.” 

Sigyn’s name means “Victorious-Girlfriend” in Old Norse. 

Sigyn may appear on the Gosforth Cross and has been the subject of an amount of theory and cultural references.

She appears in the 9th century skaldic poem Haustlöng from pagan times, written by the skald Þjóðólfr of Hvinir. Due to this early connection with Loki, Sigyn has been theorized as being a goddess dating back to an older form of Germanic paganism.

Sigyn in Worship/Honor: 

I’ll be speaking on this through my personal experience of working with Sigyn while also sharing some tid bits of basic info from others on this subject. I’m someone who works with Sigyn primarily, but sometimes gets help from Loki.

For those who work with Loki, you will also find yourself working with Sigyn. And sometimes you don’t even need to work with Loki first in order to work with Sigyn (like me!)

Sigyn is usually a calming and motherly presence. Loki is protective over her, but they usually work in unison together to help. 

SMALL DEVOTIONAL ACTS TO SIGYN: 

Holding the Bowl: It is a reflective act of Sigyn holding the bowl to protect Loki from the snake’s venom. This is usually the major one. 

Helping to support mothers (especially single mothers)

Support single parents

Supporting Women’s Rights

Keep fighting through the hardships 

Wear earthy tones

Commitment in everything you do.

Help others, but remember that self-care is important too

Sigyn in the Marvel Comics:

Sadly, Sigyn is not portrayed the best in the Marvel Comics of Thor, resulting in her being missing from the comics since 1996 and practically killed off (only being referenced to in flashbacks.) 

Loki comes across her and desires to have her. However, she is already engaged to an Asgardian named Theoric, who Loki has killed and ends up taking on the disguise of in order to take Sigyn for his own. On their wedding day once the vows are said and done, Sigyn accepts her duty as his wife, granting her the title Goddess of Fidelity by Odin. 

She doesn’t have much of an agency or personality besides being Loki’s faithful wife in this. 

Fans wish for her to make a comeback in the Comics and MCU with better characterization. Hence, much Fanfiction, Cosplay, Roleplay and Fanart has been made of others own interpretation’s of Sigyn and #JusticeforSigyn is shared around in hopes of this.

CONCLUSION:

I could go on and on about the subject of Sigyn. She’s an amazing, caring and loving goddess who teaches us many helpful traits we need throughout life. Despite still not being that well known, she is greatly loved by this community -- and none other than Loki. 

Hopefully someday she will make a comeback in the Marvel world and get the proper characterization and love she deserves. Till then, us fans will continue to share the love, joy and appreciation we have for Sigyn and her relationship with Loki, welcoming anyone as Sigyn does with open arms and loving hearts.
