The reason I made these is because there was a new coffee stand around my sister's street named "Daily Joe" and we went to try it. The short story is I got palpitations since I don't drink coffee all that much and during that time of adrenaline, I ended up hyperfixating on Joe Hardy which led to me making a whole ass theme for my phone.

The person I face claimed for Joe is named Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen if anyone is wondering.

day four: dreaming of a white christmas

notes: here's day four! it's kinda rainy and dreary here right now, and i know i'm dreaming of a white christmas, but who knows? anyways, as always, reblogs, comments, or even asks are highly recommended, and likes are appreciated <3

christmas in hawkins was always a beautiful time. gorgeous lights hung from homes and bushes, the stores in downtown hawkins had put up their window displays, and the schools were prepping for winter break. there was just one problem: your boyfriend wasn’t there to enjoy it with you. he was in california with his mom and siblings, and felt lonelier than ever. nothing had been the same since that summer, but there was nothing you could do about it. all you had were phonecalls, and even then they charged you per minute for the penalty of being long distance. so you kept to yourself as you worked down at the grocery store, making polite small talk with customers as you bagged their items. most of them wished you a happy holidays as they left and went out to the snowy world, and it was the little things that made you smile.

when you got home that night, you saw a warm plate of food sitting at your place at the table. your mom had reheated a bit of dinner for you, so it was a welcome sight after the long day you had. as you sat down to eat, the phone began to ring, so you got up to go grab it and bring it back to your seat, happy your family had upgraded to a cordless phone.

“hello?” you asked as you stabbed your fork into a broccoli stem.

“hey babe.”

the smile that graced your lips would have been contagious if anyone else had been in the room with you.

“hey jonathan,” you said, bringing the food to your mouth. “what’s up?”

“just wanted to call and wish you a merry christmas. i know i’m a day early, but i know we’ll both be busy tomorrow, so …”

“yeah … it sucks we won’t get to see each other this year,” you said after swallowing.

“it does, i’m missing the white christmases we always have, but we’ll see each other soon, i promise. i, uh, better get going before they really rack up the phone bill, but merry christmas, i love you, and i miss you,” he said.

“merry christmas, i love you, and i miss you,” you said back, and with a sigh, you got up and hung up the phone. sitting back down, the rest of your dinner was a quiet one, and you looked out of the window to see the shining lights of the nearby houses. it was christmas eve, and yet you never been less excited. but as fresh snow drifted down onto the old, you felt yourself smile. a green christmas in california? poor jonathan.

the next morning, christmas morning, you were downstairs with your family. a fire was going, and special was on tv, and the three of you sat on the ground to exchange gifts. the morning was cheery and warm, and the snow on the ground outside was crisp and white, beautiful and fresh. a white christmas like the ones you’d always known. as your father began to clean up the wrapping paper strewn around the room, you heard a knock at the front door.

“huh, wonder who that could be. hon, why don’t you go answer it?” your mother asked. arching a brow, you got up from the floor and walked to the front door, and when you opened it, you nearly screamed.

“merry christmas, beautiful,” jonathan said, holding his arms open for you. you practically threw yourself into them and hugged him tight, all while he laughed and kissed your temple.

“what the hell? what’re you doing here?” you asked, snuggling into his hold.

“well, i didn’t wanna miss christmas with you. none of us wanted to miss christmas in hawkins. we actually got in last night, we’re staying with the wheelers,” he said.

“so when you called…”

“i was just a few houses away. was i convincing enough?”

“yes!”

he laughed and you brought him inside, where he shook hands with your father and gave your mother a hug. he took off his jacket and gloves, kicked off his shoes, and the four of you sat down at your table, where your mother had set out a delicious christmas breakfast.

“it was nice coming back to snow, too. missed it out there in cali,” he said, giving you a nudge.

“know i’m gonna start to wonder what you missed more,” you teased, and he grinned before giving your hand a squeeze.

“it’ll always be you that i miss more. even if i have been dreaming of a white christmas since december first.”

🐶 What are TK and Carlos' favorite dog breeds? Which one do they get if they eventually get a dog of their own?

I can see Carlos wanting a "real dog" - like a German shepherd or maybe a staffie or some other average size breed (like Labrador size-ish). But probably also something fluffy like Buttercup because you can't tell me he wouldn't love cuddling a big fluffy beast when TK is at work.

TK would pick the saddest looking little bundle of misery at the shelter (adopt, don't shop, people) and go "I want that one" and just love it and spoil it and give it the best food/treats/toys money can buy. No matter the breed or size. If it's a tiny chihuahua it's coming home with them, if it's a Great Dane Carlos better make sure there is room in the Camaro for a crate - and they'll have to invest in a bigger bed because the "baby" sleeps in bed with them.

I feel like TK is too chaotic for actual albums - other than how his phone sorts his pictures automatically. He'll take pictures of everything. Carlos looking exceptionally beautiful (just watching TV at home in his oldest and comfiest pjs), pictures from their catan hangs, selfies, some nsfw pics and videos (Nancy learnt the hard way not to scroll through his camera roll), random stuff he comes across when he's at work and sends to Carlos - which can be anything from a cute dog to funny holiday decorations. And every single pride flag he sees in June - no matter how small. He does have every picture of their wedding and some of his mum marked as favourite for easy access.

Carlos is a lot more organised and not really one to take pictures of random stuff - though he's doing it more now than back when he and TK first met. The first time he puts his new uniform on, TK is at work and he sends him a mirror selfie, he gets a string of 😍🥵🔥 back and 5 minutes later a video call request.

i think he has albums for important stuff like birthdays and family events. He definitely has every picture taken at their wedding saved in special album. A few he's taken himself, but mostly from their family and friends. His favourite picture is one of the two of them during their first dance his mum took. it's one where he has his back to the camera but you see TK resting his head against Carlos' and just looking blissfully happy. he uses it as wallpaper and lockscreen on his phone and he just likes to look at it whenever he's having a bad day. It's also one he shows to people asking about his husband or his wedding. That and the post cake smash kiss.

He DEFINITELY has some pics and videos that are meant for TK's eyes only and they're carefully hidden away and will never see the light of day.

I don't use spotify so the boys don't either - fact.

I think TK has a pretty broad taste. Anything from showtunes to the new Linkin Park - and everything in between. He'll sing along to the latest pop sensation that's on the radio 24/7 or something more underground he'll have discovered on insta or a local band playing in a bar or busking on a street corner. I think he's always looking for something new that catches his attention.

Carlos grew up with Latin music from his parents but his sisters were both BIG into boybands so he still knows practically every Backstreetboys/Nsync song by heart. He generally likes music he can dance to but TK has introduced him to some cool bands too over the years and he likes a bit of rock here and there. Though he's more into indie and singer songwriters with a nice melody than the wall of noise TK sometimes likes to listen to. But if he comes home and sees TK airdrumming along to one of his favourite songs he just enjoys the view of seeing his husband happy and carefree. He has a full album of happy TK on his phone too.
