Y'all wanted the Pokemon Au y'all getting the Pokemon au, explanations for the Pokemon and more Au info under the cut. Feel free to put questions about the Au in my Ask box

The Au is focused on Pirate captains being Pokemon trainers and their crew their Pokemon, with exceptions like non pirate characters who have Pokemon based on their personalitys.

The world is a mix out of the op world and Pokemon universe, so instead of canon Pokemon regions the regions are based of the op islands, as an example, Luffy is from the Goa Region and travels to other Regions like the Alabasta region or Wano region, in order to beat the strongest trainers in each place he visits in order to become world champion.

Luffys team

Zoro as Chine-Pao: Zoro is often associated with tigers (big cats) and obviously his swords. Luffy also meets him for the first time while he is tied up, wich can parallel how you optain a Chien-Pao wich is locked away

Nami as Liepard: Luffy would meet Nami as a Purloin, wich are known for tricking and stealing from people, her title is also “Cat burgler”

Usopp as Inteleon: Luffy would meet Usopp as a Wobble, since he's such a coward at the start of the series. He would evolve into Drizzile during Water 7 and latter into Inteleon. Inteleon was kind of a no brainer since it's the only sniper Pokemon.

Sanji as Cinderac: Cinderace's Signature move is a Flame kick of sorts. Luffy would meet him as a Raboot, and evolves intomCinderace during Enies Lobby. (British opla sanji…)

Chopper as Sawsbuck: Reindeer, Cheery blossoms.

Robin as Runerigus: Robin is an archaeologists who specifies in finding all of the poneglyphs so her Pokemon being made out off rune tablets makes a lot of sense. Plus the ghost typing can be a hint to her title of “Devil child”

Franky as Blastoise: Franky is basically a weapon himself so making him the literal Tank turtle makes sense to me, also remember the Squirtle with the sunglasses? yeah.

Brook as Houndstone: There aren't a lot of skeleton Pokemon so there was little choice. Houndstones is part of the Ghost gym leaders team, who is a Musician.

Jinbei as Empoleon: Jinbei used to be one of the seven warlords of the sea and is a very honorable person wich works with the personality of Empoleons. He's also shown using a Trident as a weapon.

Kobys team

Milotic: Both of them start of as ugly little loser boys but have one hell of a glow up /affectionate + Milotic would be a great swimming buddy.

Lycanroc: (dog boy koby is so real to me) Dog Pokemon, though more commonly Arcanine, are used as police Pokemon, most likely given to him by Garp.

Gallade: The Fighting type fits Kobys swinging hand approach well and the Psychic type his Observation haki plus being quite the noble Pokemon.

Togekiss: A flying type to reference his Moonwalk ability and generally seeming like a Pokemon would put the effort into raising.

Lucario: dog.. Again, Another Pokemon I feel like Koby would put the effort into raising, fighting type, and the Aura gimmick just matches the vibe as well yk.

Blissey: A healer Pokemon that would assist both hurt trainers and Pokemon, god knows it's good to have one on you when you travel with Luffy.

Sanji's Milotic is his Little Princess, even before she evolved. Daddy's little girl. Queen of doing no wrong. It's a good thing she's actually quite well-mannered and sweet, because he'd honestly let her get away with murder.

If her and Gyarados do ever have an egg, Zoro will have a fight to keep Sanji from turning Gyarados into sushi. For now, both are entirely unaware their Pokemon are mated.

Actually imagine one day she finally DOES, Sanji coming across her curled around an egg and losing his ever-loving-shit - immediately calls a crew meeting to find out who DEFLOWERED HIS PRECIOUS BABY GIRL, demanding to see every water type in her egg group (which lbr they wouldn't keep up with that so that would then devolve into a debate over egg grouping and pokemon breeding all while sanji is fuming). of course, except for zoro, everyone else knows who the father but is staying quiet either 1) for the lulz 2) to keep damages down or 3) isnt paying attention (aka luffy). this goes on for a while when suddenly

CRRK CRRK the egg begins to hatch! theres silence on the deck as the new baby burst free, sparkle sparkle sparkle sparkle

sanjis neck cracks so loud from the speed he turns on zoro, steam pouring out his ears, chopper almost drags him to the infirmary just to check him out

he'd rather kick Zoro's ass

once things calm down it turns into a debate on who takes ownership of the magikarp, zoro n sanji feuding like bitter exes divorced thrice over determining custody time for lil timmy

(they end up leaving it in Momo's care as symbol of friendship - he takes very good care of them)

Luffy never just catches Pokemon. He's the Ash, his team is entirely composed of Pokemon that are like ‘his vibes are immaculate’ and join him. There are numerous Pokemon he considers ‘his’ or part of his crew strewn out across the seas, but he never caught them and they stayed behind for one reason or another.

For a good portion of his travels, he didn’t even actually catch them with Pokeballs. He only did so after Marineford, because having them in Pokeballs would've made things easier and safer for them. Still doesn't keep them put away often.

Sanji and Nami are scared of Bug Types, which made getting along with Zoro's Scythor and Usopp's Spinarak difficult at first. They got used to Sythor easier thanks to his less buggy nature, but Spinarak took time. This was not helped by Spinarak constantly trying to get chummy with them only to accidentally scare them.

One incident involved him pulling a Charlotte's Web in the gally, writing a compliment to Sanji in his web (Usopp taught him how to read and write because why not - bored island kids do whatever). Unfortunately, Sanji's horrified screams could probably be heard in Skypiea. Usopp spent hours cleaning all the webbing up and Sanji smoked about three packs that day.

They do eat Pokemon but it's less common compared to regular animals. There are debates that Pokemon just tend to not taste very good regardless of cooking skills, which lends itself to the idea that their powers are somehow connected to the ever nasty Devil Fruit.

Y'know that gag from Pokemon where Brock's own Pokemon would knock him around when he goes girl-crazy? Ya, that but Sanji. His team absolutely takes him down a peg when he gets too fuck-boy.

It's usually his Blaziken, who will just straight up knock him out and carry him away if need be

The only one who doesn't is Milotic and that's because Sanji is her baby just as much as she is his and she wuvs him too much. Spoils him, really

Usopp gets Robin one of those baby slings for her Houndour as a joke but they love it (she puts on matching sunglasses too so he can travel in style)

it's to the point that Chopper gets a little jealous so they have to get him one too

Usopp's Octillary is still a lil shit no matter how much he respects Usopp, so it's not uncommon for her to cover whoever happens to be nearby in either ink or water

her favorite victim is Sanji - she never did forgive him calling her scrawny (even tho it meant they wouldn't eat her)

All of Franky's Pokemon have a star painted or carved somewhere on their body. They like posing with him!

Franky does want a Blastoisite but they haven't had much luck finding one

Brook's Chatot picks up many, many phrases…. unfortunately he, much like Brook, favors the one asking to see panties - the only upside is that he asks everyone regardless of gender

Chatot is not allowed to talk to strangers for totally unrelated reasons

On the topics of One Piece and Pokemon, here's a conversation that's been coming up between myself and my younger siblings who I've started on One Piece but who already love Pokemon; if Pokemon were in the One Piece World (or if One Piece Characters were in the Pokemon world) what pokemon do you think the Strawhat Crew would have?

Luffy a pikachu, an aipom/ambipom and an infernape (mmonkey).

Zoro a lucario and gallade, also a leafeon cause it knows leaf blade (and evolves with a moss rock, funni).

Nami a glameow, a meowth and a castform (weather balls baby!)

Usopp a heracross, a pincer, and a golisopod he evolved from a wimpod (bug central, Nami and Sanji HATE it).

Sanji having a lopunny is a must for me cause elegant and strong kicks, would also have alcremie, appletun and cinderace.

Chopper…Chopper is friends with everyone’s pokemons he doesn’t have any of his own LMAO

Robin an espeon, an absol (pokemon that gets mistreated cause people think it’s bad luck huu), and a spiritomb (heheh little stone ghost).

Franky a machamp, a rhyperior (it lowkey looks like him) and possibly a meltan?

Brook a marowak (it uses his bones as its little bone club), a kricketune and a toxtricity (SOUL KING BABYYY)

The Milotic aimed it at a Glalie that was in the way. The attack landed, causing the Glalie to let out a cry and flee.

Lati, however, wasn't happy. "Nooo, Milotic! You weren't supposed to do that!"

Heidi, still on land, quickly turned towards the group. "Crobat! Milotic! Lati! Everything alright over there? I heard fighting."

Lati nodded. "We don't see any grunts yet. Milotic got jumpy. Sorry, mom."

"Alright. Remember the plan, okay? We'll still keep watch."

"Okay, mommy!"

Lati and the group continued their trajectory to the cavern. Meanwhile, Heidi turned back to Akari.

"So, you're the champion of the Sinnoh Region, huh? I knew that I sensed something about you when we first met."

"Oh, did someone tell you?"

"Called Cynthia while Lati was watching the contests in Hearthome. She had a lot of praise for you, you know." Heidi laughed a little when she recalled that conversation.

Akari laughed as well. "Well, let's say that we had a lot more in common outside of the battle than we thought when we were in the middle of it."

"Well, I'll say." Heidi nodded.

"Anyway, now that you know, I wanted to say… thank you for allowing us to play with the Lake Guardians in this way. I was worried that when it was mentioned that we were going to make a mock-Team Galactic, that you were going to be against us."

Heidi shook her head. "Nah, it's fine. Honestly, of all people to convince me, it was Mars herself. She turned over a new leaf since she and Cynthia became friends."

"She really did, and I really appreciate it from her… even though she hates it when I slip up and call her Arezu." The girl laughed. "So, you're letting your daughter be engaged with this, too?"

"Yeah. She has to learn to focus on her judgment and the greater good. She has to also understand that not everyone is friendly, which she's grasping quickly." Heidi turned to see the progress of the Trio.

It seems that Lati was instructing Crobat to go inside.

"She's so cute."

"Right? You have no idea how much I love my baby girl." Heidi giggled. "She's growing up quickly, a lot quicker than I did when I was her age."

"How old is she?"

"Only two."

"And you if you don't mind me asking?"

"Two thousand or so. Hard to keep track at my age."

"Wow. Latias and Latios really do live a long time."

"We do, but not as long as several other Legendary Pokemon. If you don't mind me asking in return, how old are you, anyway? Cynthia said that her successor was a kid, but I can sense that you're far older than that." … and that Izanami may be involved, but Akari doesn't need to know that part.

"Uh… I think I'm technically about 250 years old or so? Though, if you don't count the years that I was frozen in time, I'm about 20."

"Wait, frozen in time?"

"Yeah. Arceus -- the one before you -- I offered for her to freeze me in time so that she can call for me whenever she's in need of help. There were a couple of others that did the same so that they can journey with me into the future, but… well… I don't know where they went."

Heidi was quickly unamused. "...of course, it's Nami. It's always her."

"Yep. She said that you'd be unsurprised when she told me about you."

"Yeah, well, let's say that she's always getting her hands in things." Heidi sighed. Now that Izanami was on her mind, she still can't believe that Lauren and Izanami are the same person…. "I… have one more question."

"Ask away, because I'm sure your daughter's going to be finishing up soon."

"... Dawn. She… passed away last year, but when I first saw you, I couldn't help but to think of her. Are you two related?"

"I…" Akari scratched her head. "I… don't know. To be honest, I don't even know the time period that I came from, let alone if I'm related to her, but we knew each other. She liked it when we dressed alike, so that's why I still do that."

"Hm? 'The time period that [you] came from'? What do you mean?"

"Well, do you know about the incident in ancient Hisui with the Space-Time distortions?"

"I never went to ancient Hisui myself at the time but I did read about it, yeah."

"Ah, well, I helped quell Dialga and Palkia during that time, but… I'm not from that time. Arceus -- the previous one -- she sent me back in time to save the world."

"Well, what time did you come from?"

"I… I don't know." She shook her head. "I… really don't know. I… never got the chance to ask her that question before… you know."

"...I'm sorry."

"It's fine. It's… not your fault."

Heidi leaned in and gave Akari a hug, who accepted it. It was just enough time to wait for Lati to get back and report the results: neither Uxie nor any grunts were found in the cave.

Seeing people say Gou, Ash, or Koharu will get Grookey. It's probably me looking too much into things. Going off of Sota's shirt. But I think Grookey will end up with him. The other three do have ( main ) Pokémon of their own and he doesn't yet. Claiming that he's "too young for one" is... A bad excuse when the character in today's episode has her Feebass/Milotic. And they're most likely the same age. I think it'd be really interesting to see him end up with Grookey?

I’m not sure if Hi-chan is “legally“ Nami’s, as she’s not trainer age yet. Wanpachi isn’t officially Koharu’s either, as it’s a family dog. The age thing is a bit iffy, but Grookey will no doubt go to either Gou or Satoshi, I don’t see Sota with a Pokémon, unless it’s like Dedenne, which BELONGS to Citron first and farmost atm, Eureka just takes care of it (and will adopt it as her trainer debut ‘mon in the future when she reached age 10).

Anyway. I see Grookey/Sarunori as a Satoshi ‘mon, but Gou is a possibility too. I don’t see Koharu getting new ‘mon for a long time, and Grookey needs promoing soon.

Pick a partner Pokémon for each of the straw hats and why? I'm curious to see what you would pick.

I'm so mad I SWEAR I answered this before but I can't find the ask...luckily I always have written down in a google doc LMAO Luffy a pikachu, an aipom/ambipom and an infernape (mmonkey).

Zoro a lucario and gallade, also a leafeon cause it knows leaf blade (and evolves with a moss rock, funni).

Nami a glameow, a meowth and a castform (weather balls baby!)

Usopp a heracross, a pincer, and a golisopod he evolved from a wimpod (bug central, Nami and Sanji HATE it).

Sanji having a lopunny is a must for me cause elegant and strong kicks, would also have alcremie, appletun and cinderace.

Chopper…Chopper is friends with everyone’s pokemons he doesn’t have any of his own LMAO

Robin an espeon, an absol (pokemon that gets mistreated cause people think it’s bad luck huu), and a spiritomb (heheh little stone ghost).

Franky a machamp, a rhyperior (it lowkey looks like him) and possibly a meltan?

Brook a marowak (it uses his bones as its little bone club), a kricketune and a toxtricity (SOUL KING BABYYY)

Jinbei an empoleon (proud and strong like Jinbei) and a wailord (HUUUGE fucking fish what else to explain)

Folge 31

Folge 31. Sehr chillige Folge, aber dennoch schön. Wie immer halt.

Erwartet war, dass es sich zu Milotic entwickelt, aber ich wusste nicht, dass sie nach HOENN fahren. Erneut. Hat mich überrascht und Koharu war auch gut in der Folge, weil sie doch mehr zu PKMN aufgewärmt war und geholfen hat.

Ah, wieder kleine Übersicht auf seine PKMN im Park. IMMER schön finde ich das. Fokus kann es da natürlich nicht immer geben, weswegen das Zeigen schon reicht.

Die PKMN sehen es eig schon alle bzw wissen wohl, dass da was ist :D Noch kein Fokus für Memmeon seit dem Fang, aber dennoch nicht vergessen, wenn es so mal schnell eingebaut wird.

Das ist der Unterschied zu früher: Hier sind die immer draußen und es ist schnell mal eingebaut sowas. Ging früher nicht, außer in SM halt.

Ja, wusste nicht, dass hier nach Hoenn gegangen wird. Aber ist wieder so ein Event, was man überall machen konnte. Also das Setting hatte NULL mit dem Plot zu tun. Außer, dass Gou etwas gefangen hat und so. Aber so ist es halt. ich find dann Foglens chon besser, wo das Setting wichtig ist.

Goldini hat geholfen und so finde ich es echt schön, wie sie die PKMN nutzen. Dass sie für den Plot mal so ein oder 2 PKMN von Gou einbauen. Mag ich. Die haben jetzt keinen krassen Fokus oder so, aber geht ums Prinzip.

Die Aufgabe war ELEGANT zu schwimmen, aber Barschwa knallt erstmal in jede Stange :D Erstmal Kontrolle beim Schwimmen verleiren, aber man übt ja noch.

Ich WUSSTE, dass es zu Milotic wird, aber nicht wie im Plot. Die Schönschuppe hatte es schon bei sich, aber keiner machte sich genauer Gedanken.

Die strahlt aber schön imo.

Er kann es halt nicht lassen. Die Szene fand ich sogar nett, weil Koharu gerade sprach und er dann einfach Anlauf nahm, für den Fang.

Manchmal sind so einfache Ausdrücke dann doch genial. In solchen Situationen halt. ALLE glauben an den Sieg für die kleine Nami, was ich süß finde. Besonders Koharu ist da später auch Feuer und Flamme.

Das Event an sich war jetzt nicht so krass. Netter OST und so, aber nichts krasses zum erwähnen. Aber ich genieße sowas dennoch, selbst, wenn ich später keine Dialoge hier schreibe

Meine Güte sind die Mädel gebräunt gewesen, aber sie haben hier Koharu echt gut eingebaut, weil die richtig wütend wurde (in lustiger Anime Form), als sie schlecht über Barschwa sprachen.

und von Koharu ist sowas echt was wert, weil sie ja sonst nicht so ist. Ich find auch lustig, dass ihr Haar dann auch so hoch geht. Sieht lustig aus.

Und jetzt wurde es zu Milotic, alle haben es gesehen und haben ihre Meinung zu Barschwa geändert. Ash mochte es schon vorher aber :P

Wie ich sagte: War eine chillige Folge, habe auch nicht viel zu erklären, aber PM Folgen sind alle generell nice. Schöner OST auch und sie haben Koharu hier gut eingebaut, weil sie zwar am Anfang nicht so begeistert ist, dass der Park noch MEHR PKMN hat, aber in der Folge hat sie dennoch geholfen, war sogar fired up als die Damen Barschwa beleidigten und so. und..

dann dieser Satz. Ich werde zu Koharu gleich einen Post schrieben, aber die Folge war die beste für sie imo. Also süße Shots etc waren immer da, aber hier
