If you have seen my latest, festive YouTube video, you already know that I finally finished my slipover. Yay! 🙌 After I had first experimented with two welts around the armhole, I decided to go with an i-cord edge in the end. And I am so happy with it. In the picture above you can see both armhole finishing versions in direct comparism. By now I have ribbed the welts back and worked the i-cord on both sides. This slipover still needs a name. While I made it, I thought of it as a piece of armor shielding me from the cold. Do you have any name suggestions? I hope to get some worn pictures soon - so stay tuned. Throwback to last summer when I knit this - still unnamed - tee with the bright gradient yoke. 🌞 The tee is now long finished and I even got to wear it a few times before the summer ended. I still need to take pictures of the finished garment though. 🧶 Why am I showing it to you again?! Well, because recently I could motivate myself to continue working on the pattern. 🙌 I started with the pattern shortly after I finished the tee last summer, graded the whole thing and even wrote the instructions up to the point when you separate body and sleeves... Only afterwards I noticed that I forgot to incorporate the color change. 🤦‍♀️ And that meant rewriting most of the yoke instructions. To be honest, after putting in all the hard work I was devastated and needed to step back from the project for a little while. But now I rewrote the yoke instructions and hope to finish the rest of the pattern with the next couple of weeks. If I make no more mistakes and the tech editing goes well, the pattern might be ready to be test knit around the end of April or the start of May. 🤞 Do you have a name suggestion for this tee?
