It will contain a chapter of Junjou Sentiment as well as an unspecified chapter of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. It's the final issue in the magazine's tenth anniversary year, hence the unprecedented cover with characters from both JR as well as SiH.

It will come bundled with a Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi themed pen.

jpn -> eng translators, especially for umi ni nemuru hana, a historical bl manga by nakamura shungiku. since this is a historical series, knowledge of historical japanese language + culture is a plus, but not required. translators for junjou or junai romantica are also in need!

we would also appreciate support with:

cleaning, especially for those comfortable with working from physical raws!

numbering, which requires no fancy software and helps improve access for those who cannot use snapchat to access our scanlations!

I practically stretched Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi for three months. Together with the manga. I watched two episodes, not every day, stretched out the pleasure, re-watched my favorite moments, episodes... As a result, I re-watched two seasons together with the OVA almost completely😆😆👌 The same thing happened with Junjou Romantica before that.

And most importantly,

I have something to watch instead of clinging to the past. I want to watch Given, which I was advised to, finally get to know SUPER LOVERS, re-watch Gravitation, Gakuen Heaven, Monochrome factor, even... Yaoi drama. BUT! I'm stuck on SekaRoma!xD:"D I need to move on, but considering that I still have a lot of fanfics about them that I want to read, write a couple of ideas, watch AMVs and find interesting content - then Nakamura-san's creativity will not let go anytime soon^^" ˶^▾^˶

Just realizing Shungiku Nakamura was 21 years old when she first released Junjou Romantica! 😳

If you’ve kept up with the manga, you’d know the art & story has evolved so much since its debut. Nakamura is in her 40’s now, so it makes sense the characters she created two decades ago would mature too. 🐰🧸 (Especially Usagi-san!)

Tbh, I have a hard time recommending the series today because of the problematic behavior in the beginning. Yaoi in general has issues and JR is definitely guilty, portraying the culture of its time.

But I have mixed feelings, because believe it or not, as the series progresses, Misaki and Usagi’s relationship becomes so beautiful and more human in recent years. The series has always nailed comedy and emotional depth, and that’s the reason I fell in love with it when I was 15.

The most recent arcs are the strongest, but I’m afraid without a season 4 & 5 anime adaptation, most fans will remain unaware of the series’ shift.

(Just look at the difference between these two manga covers. Their body language speaks volumes!)

Yes I’m biased because I love Junjou Romantica.

But I’m now viewing the outdated themes through the lens of an author who was quite young when she started this series. I’m a little more forgiving because of how far she has come.
