Shortly after being defeated, Scaramouche falls into a deep coma. Nobody's able to awaken him, not even Sumeru's best doctors. Nahida, not wanting to give up on him, decides to use the last remaining Akasha terminal to check for any brain activity - which is how she and the traveler end up in a metaphysical representation of Scaramouche's mental state.

Who knew it would only take a few hugs and vent sessions to befriend the feared Balladeer?

ㅤㅤshould loneliness be such a new feeling to him? thousands are the immortal years that weigh upon his shoulders, long and many were stories he could narrate of his star-made-human experiences, nigh uncountable are the expressions he has learned in ancient or newborn languages. he knows of mutterseelinallein, of tante, of saudade. he has engraved their meanings in his mind, enchanted by the puzzle they prompt for mortal emotions and all their needs; memorised their writing and tonality. but he had never understood such conceptual words fully with his heart, it seems. such truth is made heavy in how he clutches his chest, bittersweet look painting the outsider’s visage as warm tones of street lights illuminate the dancing citizens of sumeru city. celebrating a festivity at the local bazar, everyone seems to have a pair to share laughter or confessions with. complementary or opposition, two, three or four, they keep each other company in more ways than just physically. humans have such big hearts—always looking for more loved ones to fill it and make it blossom more colourful. come on, let’s dance together! everyone, form a circle!

ㅤㅤhe has lived among them, sometimes being confused as one of them, finding temporary havens for his tiring travels in kind people and their houses. yet there’s a tug in his heartstrings, a husky voice that tells him he doesn’t quite belong in that picture. even if their spinnings and cheers remind him of the stars he grew up chasing, he’s not meant to be a part of their world for long. whenever he dreams, the cosmos are calling for him and his sister back—for them to return home. whatever that meant. he wasn’t sure he correctly understood such a concept anymore, either. and shouldn’t it be impossible to feel alone when you’re surrounded by a crowd or always accompanied during your journeys? then why now, of all times and places, is he feeling that way?

ㅤㅤah. so that’s why.

ㅤㅤeven amongst immortals or deities, few were the ones who could relate to him. most immortals looked for those who shared similar interests, finding kin in unexpected places, but bonding through eternity alongside one another’s company. gods generally walked with one another, forever entangled in their own affairs. and aether? well, he only knew one other star-born wanderer out there. and for whatever reason it was that he was still trying to figure it out, she didn’t want him around anymore. to not feel trapped and left behind was close to impossible.

ㅤㅤperhaps this is why lord kusanali’s voice comes as a surprise amidst his messy thoughts. with widened eyes, he stares down at her when her small hand clasps around his gloved fingers. i thought you’d like some company. her hand is warm, her eyes are full of wonder, and she feels like a friend he’s had for millennia. there’s a knowing smile on her face, as if she’s seen that expression of his thousands of times—be it on the traveller’s face, or on a mirror. he squeezes her hand back ever so lightly, swallowing dryly all the complicated feelings he knew not how to profess. but she did. she did, didn’t she? oh… perhaps he wasn’t so alone after all. if there was someone who knew how much a heart could ache for closure, for company, for belonging, then that someone would be her. not as the god of wisdom, but as herself, surely. besides, when you’re alone with someone else, it stops being so lonely, doesn’t it? koev halev through philia.

ㅤㅤ“thank you, nahida.” �� through his grin, he feels another feeling, one never too new or old to enjoy. understanding. isn’t that o so very fitting?   “this festival just got better.”

SAGAU

imagine kuni becomes self aware, he isn’t sure how but he can sense you the player. at first he thinks you are a nuisance, how some big god hiding behind Lumine. but when he brings it up in passing to nahida she has no idea what he’s talking about. nobody does, they all think he’s a little crazy when he mentions some god like presence that follows the traveler around.

that pisses him off, that he can see and sense you are a different entity from Lumine that nobody else wants to mention. so he avoids you, except you keep finding him, seeking his company out. out of all the people in teyvat, you want him. he hears how happy you get when Lumine talks to him and sees how you spoil him. he tries to avoid it, but then you start making him more powerful and giving him little gifts. slowly, he starts to like it.

he starts to look forward to seeing you in the teapot and you taking him on missions, anything to be next to you. he then starts being able to see game menus and stuff, nobody else seems aware of any of this, but he is. it scares him the first time because everything freezes around him, he can barely move an inch the first few times you open your character menu. then he sees you working on raising his friendship level and nobody else’s.

while you are offline, he starts messing with things. bringing new items to your teapot and getting you more wishes, he always loves to hear you get happy by seeing how many wishes you randomly got. then he gets tired of this, he starts trying to get your attention, particularly after seeing you using Kazuha more. so he starts taking certain people off your teams when you are gone, making them leave his teapot when you put them there, and messing with menus.

then one day, while he’s messing with stuff to keep you in the game longer, he ends up opening discord. honestly, it startles him but he learns your name. he feels bad invading your personal conversations but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t learn more about you. so he reads some of them and learns a lot about you.

next time you log on, he starts speaking directly to you, saying voice lines you’ve never heard before. it’s sweet, telling you how much he loves to spend time with you and how he hopes you’ll stay with him. it’s weird at first because there wasn’t a new update anytime soon and nobody else had said anything about this, but hey at least it’s him saying it! and then it happens out of the teapot. like hell comment on random glitches or things in the story that aren’t apart of his quest lines.

one day you reply to one of his comments and he replies back. sitting there confused, you start to think maybe you’ve played too much and need to log off, except when you go to open the menu you see him scowling at you off to the side. so you do the logical thing and ask if he can hear you. which prompts him to say “I’m glad you finally caught on”.

extra: but if he sees you playing another video game, he will get jealous. you’ll check on him in the teapot and he’ll be so rude, telling you to go play whatever game you were just playing. that is until he learns how to add himself into your game <3

We tend not to advise on heavily optioned stocks due to all the short selling activity, but for those of you who were wondering:

Citlali/Ororon — too volatile to call. This is the first explicit (grand)parental relationship between playable characters, so it technically fills a niche, but it's unclear whether that's a niche anyone went into Genshin looking for.

Chuychu/Chasca — the analysts just gave me a really withering look so I guess SELL? "Too soon"? What's that supposed to mean? She's just resting her eyes, right?

Mavuika/Nahida — SELL OR HOLD. The motif of memories as fuel is great and all but Mavuika is way too young.

Ematol/Phonia — SELL. The worst part is that they're not even the kind of sisters where that would have any transgressive je ne sais quoi. They're just like flatmates. Bert and Ernie minus the chemistry.

DISCLAIMER: this is just an idea that popped in mind while I was rereading my POST about lumine's friendship with the other archons in a sagau! impostor! gold blood! au. tho with a slightly different take at the start. I might work further in it depending on my creative battery. some swearing here and there, may be more oriented, some ooc moments here and there maybe. LUMINE IS THE CHOSEN TRAVELER. no gender mentioned for the reader. NOT BETA NOR PROOFREAD (shocker)

ii. REUNIONS AND ANSWERS

news about an impersonator looking like the creator spread fast to sumeru, fast to the acting grand sage first. however, he frowned, that had nothing to do with him.

why should he worry about that? those in charge will catch the impostor eventually once he makes matters go public.

and that's why, during a meeting with the lesser lord, she enquired him about what was bothering him once said meeting was adjourned and she pulled him aside.

"nothing is bothering me, lesser lord kusanali," was his reply.

she smiled up at him, eyes closing, "if that truly was the case then you wouldn't be frowning," she let out a small giggle.

if alhaitham didn't know any better, he would have actually confused his lord to an actual child, and not an archon.

weighing the pros and cons of telling his archon about what has reached his ears first and foremost, and his colleagues as well, instead of the grand public.

truly, there were no cons against telling nahida.. so he did.

she only reassured him that she would look further into the matter and to not worry about it nor tell the public until she was certain she understood what was going on.

"you called for me, greater lord kusanali?" wanderer asked as soon as he stepped inside the sanctuary of surasthana and was greeted by her at the door.

she did not even try to correct him, "I need you to accompany me inside to irminsul."

he frowned but nodded nonetheless.

"I want to find out what is going about the rumoured impostor," she started walking to the center of the room.

more confusion seeped inside the puppet's mind as he followed her, "impostor?"

nahida looked at him from over her shoulder, "someone is, apparently, impersonating the divine creator."

all that could be heard was footsteps. running footsteps.

some were angry stomping almost, some were faster than most. only one stood out: it was light, and if agile could be a sound, it would be those footsteps.

and luckily, it belonged to you.

"where to?"

the wanderer flew to some, what it looked like on your end, random direction. if it weren't for his vision glowing, you would have lost sight of him in the unusual darkness of the night.

thinking about it now, why was it so dark? even the light provided by the moon did almost nothing to light up the world it seemed. was teyvat angry and trying to protect something? someone? you and your companion maybe?

"just a few metres more, your grace," you heard him said as he too decided to run along with you. his footsteps sounded, almost imperceptible however, mechanical.

you could only nod as beads of sweat rolled down your face and the wind caressed your body.

"quick, in here!" another familiar said and when looking at the source, you saw nahida opening the leaves that acted as doors of an abandoned hut, a device floating besides her and producing light.

without a single ounce of hesitation, you immediately grabbed wanderer's hand and made a turn to the right. nahida opened the doors further with the help of her device that immediately turned its light off once you both were safe inside.

however, it wasn't safe yet. the angry running footsteps could be heard. they weren't far now. all you could do was hold your breath, no matter how much you wanted to take a deep breath and finally relax a little after running for what felt like hours, your survival instinct just wouldn't let you do so, not until you were sure they were out of earshot.

"where did they go?!" they were right beside the well hidden hut.

"we lost them!" a raged filled voice could be heard

"keep on looking," that was a familiar voice, someone you treasured in the game and spent hours to build, to make stronger. so that's how they repay you?

'i see how it is, xiao.'

"we will have to let the authorities in sumeru know they the impostor is now in their land along with a companion," keqing's voice could be heard, stern and frustrated.

you looked around and barely saw anything, only the silhouettes of your... friends? as questions slowly filled your head, 'why can't they leave me alone? what did I do?'

retracing your steps from ever since you awoke into the world of your favourite game, you found that you did nothing wrong. maybe you the only mistake you made was to step into liyue harbour while smiling and was simply greeted back with polearms pointed at you and them screaming at you for impersonating someone. but who?

"argh! let's just retreat for now," one of the soldiers said as they all seemed to agree and walked away.

"I will let the tianquan know and ask her to deliver a letter to sumeru's officials," keqing spoke, determination present in her voice, "this impostor is to be eliminated at once."

as their voice faded into the distance, you finally let yourself heave a sigh of relief as nahida made her device light up once more, finally allowing you to see inside the small hut.

wanderer was squatting near the door, peering outside and nahida was looking at you, a small smile on her face.

oddly enough, this was comforting.

"evening, your grace," the archon bowed and that made you frown.

"why are you bowing to me?"

"it is a sign of respe-"

"please, don't. it makes me uncomfortable," and nahida only nodded at your words.

it was quiet for a few minutes as you pondered what was happening then you spoke up, making everyone in the room to turn and look at you, "why did you both call me 'your grace'?" and at the genuine confusion and curiousity, nahida spoke up once more after sharing a look with wanderer. was irminsul wrong about you?

"it is your title."

you shook your head, "last time I checked, I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth nor am I royalty."

before nahida could speak once more, wanderer cut her off, "didn't you create teyvat? you are our creator and the one that guides us, it is only fair for us to call you by your title."

'create teyvat?'

you understood the guiding part as that was, in a sense, true, though you did not create teyvat.

"I did not."

silence once more, then the knowledge archon spoke, "what is it that you mean, your grace?"

"I did not create teyvat but I... I guess you are correct about me guiding you?"

and that prompted you to explain it to them; how teyvat was created by a group of people, not you, how they wrote each and every single person's in this world past, present and future. but that only seemed to make nahida look at you fondly.

"so there are more creators?" wanderer asked, frowning and you simply nodded.

"in a way? they aren't gods, they are all humans, like me."

"but you aren't human," nahida said as she took a few steps and stood in front of you, staring up at you in determination, "and the proof is on your leg."

ather words, you frown in confusion and looked down at your leg, your jeans had been cut through and you had a cut as well. your eyes widen at the small amount of blood trickling down your leg and sipping through your jeans.

it was gold.

"how did the hunt go?" ningguang asked from her seat in the jade chamber, expecting to hear good news from the yuheng as she kept on writing in the scrolls that contained important information.

the silence that greeted her was what prompted the tianquan to look up, "well?"

"we lost them both," xiao spoke, appearing behind keqing and giving her a scare.

although that was a funny sight, ningguang couldn't find it in her when she heard his words, "what do you mean by that?"

keqing cleared her throat, "we lost them both in the forest near sumeru."

"did you hear? there's an impostor that showed up in liyue," donna expressed to marjorie who nodded.

"I did! I also heard that they are hiding in sumeru and that some weirdo with an anemo vision helped them out."

"how could they help out an impostor when the real creator has been quiet instead of offering them to appease the creator's anger?!" donna exclaimed, huffing right at the end.

lumine watched and listened from afar as those two kept talking, "an impostor?"

"huh?" paimon looked up from eating her food, "waf d'you meaf?"

"don't speak with your mouth full."

swallowing down her food then letting out a satisfied sigh, she asked again, "sorry. anyway what did you mean?"

lumine glanced at donna and marjorie as donna went back to standing behind flora to keep an eye on the child, "those two were speaking about an impostor."

"impostor?"

"something about someone impersonating teyvat's creator."

"who in their right mind would impersonate the creator?!"

lumine let out a snort, "maybe lunatics like you."

"hey!"

as paimon went on a ramble, lumine got lost in thought. was that why you haven't guided her on the right path today? though a day for you could be months for them, should she, perhaps, say months instead of today?

it wouldn't hurt to visit sumeru and ask nahida, right?

Spoilers for 3.3. 

lumine x her enemies are generally top tier.

Mainly because of writing.

But Scaramouche x lumine hits differently for me from the rest, because the theme is around finding the truth. The heart of traveler’s journey, and perhaps what abyss!aether had hinted at is that Lumine must travel the world to find the truth. 

Nahida asks him if the truth is important to him. Even as Wanderer, he says, yes. 

(I wonder if  his line about�� "The stars, the sky... It's all a gigantic hoax. A lie." is foreshadowing that the irminsul changes history and the way people remember it, in that we have an account of history, but as the game goes on, we’ll find out that there are versions of it that people remember differently.) 

There’s something inherently amazing about the finale of his arc where he goes from being a discarded puppet, to being the baladeer, to the culmination of his arc into becoming a god, and having a fully functional sense of self where his goals don’t exist entirely for vengeful purposes but he is aware of his past. 

And Lumine’s the one who gives him his name. Ugh. Goodness. 

There’s still a moment where Scara locks out Nahida, walks up to Lumine, takes her hand (hand holding hand holding!), and then asks traveller if the past can be changed.

And this brief moment of silence. 

Usually he has a very smirkity smirky face, but there’s some sincerity in this face. This moment is damning for the traveller, because traveller essentially creates wanderer, which is also a reprieve for Scara. But Wanderer also wants his memories back.

The past does not change in Genshin. What Scaramouche did didn’t change. It just changes how he remembers it. Now Scaramouche, thanks to Traveller remembers his past as the Balladeer while also continuing as Wanderer. He’s now a fully functional being with an emphasis on the ability to choose. 

Onto the second part: LUMINE! Okay! As MC of Genshin, Lumine generally does everything right. Mainly for self-insertion purposes. Lumine isn’t a flawed MC. She is an unreliable narrator at most, but for the most part, she reveals some things, and she doesn’t reveal other bits. She’s vague and keeps things, and now with the Irminsul, there’s something she doesn’t share with paimon. 

(This meta situation where we know more than the glorified game menu.) 

But whenever it comes to Scaramouche, she loses her cool. She messed up back in Inazuma in regards to Scaramouche, and she gets poisoned because of him. Yae bargains traveller’s life for the electro gnosis. 

But Wanderer/Scaramouche is outside of the realm of Lumine. Lumine feels a range of emotions when it comes to him. Anger, distrust, pity, bewilderment, acceptance, and finally friendship.

OHHHH i totally get what you mean about getting so many choices of what to do that it always seems entertaining. there are so many more options for new players than when i started!!! (late 2020)

i respect your opinion on scaramouche so much. he truly did commit all of those atrocities, and it is totally fair to dislike him for them. and, yet, i love him so dearly. i was one of those fans that obsessed over his personality back when we only had one limited-time-event cutscene of him. i also really enjoy how his character has developed over time!!! his new design is such a treat for the eyes.

what’s your favourite nation, if you had to choose?

i love them all so much, but my fondest favourites have to be liyue, then dragonspine, then mondstadt. they’re so nostalgic for me!! i especially adore the Warmth that permeates liyue’s colour palette, especially during the sunset hour. that said, the game’s design quality has improved so much with each nation. sumeru & fontaine are so full of life and detail, it’s wonderful to see!!!

which protagonist did you choose?? i chose aether because i wanted desperately to absorb his gender into my psyche (and i DID!!!), but i *adore* lumine and the minute differences between their expressions & characterization when each protagonist is given different reactions to the same situation, such as in . the four star friendship quests? i forgot the name for them.

The character hangouts! I chose Lumine, but as time as gone on I almost wish I could play as Aether too? Not because I dislike Lumine, but because I can see the personality differences and I’m curious. Also because I ABSOLUTELY HC LUMINE AS THE OLDER ONE AND LISTEN. Listen. If she was the Abyss traveler and I’d chosen Aether I’d feel that as an older sister myself. Which. Saying out loud I can’t get words to work the way I want them to for this but. Ya know?

Nope! Haven’t played there yet, I did just finish Sumeru though. Gotta do the ascension quest. And yes that’s partially because I wanna do Kaveh’s Hangout sooooooo baaadddlllllyyyyyyyy…. And Thoma’s if I can.

Venti with Nahida as a close second, and Zhongli close to that. Can’t say about Furina, I’ve gotten almost zero Fontaine spoilers and I’m keeping it at that, and I’m kinda neutral on Raiden? No but tee ur so right about the struggle to move on from sumeru. Like I’ve already played the whole archon quest to avoid getting spoiled and it’s been pretty good so far. But everything about sumeru and its story/character building was just so top-notch that Fontaine falls a little flat in comparison. *Mild spoilers warning* like the traveler meets focalors and I was just immediately hit with this immense longing to see nahida again. Like no archon will ever be nahida!!! She’s truly the peoples archon!!!!

And they’re definitely trying to set up a big mystery in the plot but for whatever reason even though the stakes seem like they’re supposed to be higher it just doesn’t hit with the same intensity as all of the absolutely insane shit the akademiya had going on. *Mild spoilers again* It probably has to do with the fact that it’s in relation to the people of Fontaine specifically and the traveler cannot be affected. Like it just doesn’t feel as personal. And given that it doesn’t feel as personal, there’s also not as much room for close character bonds to develop over a shared sense of urgency.

Sorry tee this ended up being a really long ramble but yeah ur so right ur feelings are so valid Fontaine just isn’t the same (at least rn) and I miss sumeru sm too

i think out of all the nations sumeru was my fav (altho the cultural representation aspects made me a bit upset) bc the story objectively was the most intriguing in this one but ALSO !! just the way the characters relationships were all built and connected was just rly nice and special to me. like even tho u hardly see much of candace she means the world to dehya and dehya means a good deal to everyone in sumeru city so like when candace comes to visit she’s still not rly out of place !! and it’s like 🥹 everyone is just connected to everyone and it’s a big family 🥹 and nahidas the mostttt endearing archon i think her story was my favorite but also her relationship with lumine was just more special than the other archons. i think the only other nation where everyone is close to being family like this is mondstadt with like kaeya and amber and eula and jean and klee—they’ve all had history in the knights and as kids so they’re all endearing too and that’s also !! why leaving mondstadt made me so upset !! and why i revisit so frequently just for the heck of it :,) and i think venti also has a slightly cuter relationship w lumine but idk like zhongli and raiden are lovely i liked them but they didn’t have that. idk. ig friendship that nahida had with traveler AND ALSO nahida tries so hard to rly connect w the ppl in sumeru she’s just the best archon i love love love her.

but i loved sumeru’s plot the most i think mondstadt was a bit boring until diluc showed up (lol) and liyue was fun but also a little less exciting and inazuma had so much potential but it was longgggg and tedious and also the miko training thing TOOK ME OUT. but sumeru was so fun and i enjoyed it thoroughly AND IDK IF ANYTHING WILL BEAT IT even the limited events in sumeru were so good sobs i AM RLY SAD WE ARE LEAVING. and also sumeru story quests are all my favs. dehyas was amazing and cynos was too and so was al haithams and i loved nahidas w the lore drops and even tighnaris had me emotional

i think i just have a bias LOL

but anyway I WILL FINALLY PLAY THE NEW QUEST just because i don’t wanna be spoiled so i might as well get it out the way BUT i’m glad someone shares the sentiment with me 🥹 sumeru will always be the best nation to me :,)

One thing I’ve found interesting about people who criticize Venti for “not caring about his people” by not solving every single one of Mondstadt’s problems himself and only stepping in when he absolutely needs to- is that this is a principle that applies to all the archons and something that all of them have displayed. What I mean by that is Venti is the way he is because he prioritizes freedom above all else because he’s the archon of freedom. He wants his people to not be dependent on him and to do as much as they can without him so he’s almost never there. The thing is… all the other archons also prioritize the concept that they’re the god of above all else. It’s pretty much typical archon behavior that they take their values to the extreme. What Venti does is completely normal for an archon. And the things the other archons did had bigger stakes/consequences so I don’t understand how it makes since to only criticize Venti specifically.

Zhongli would do anything else before he would break a contract. He put his people in danger so he could step down and willingly gave up his gnosis to the enemy. His entire second story quest he put a contract above his friendship with Azhdaha.

We all know about Ei and her quest for eternity driving her to turn against her people, causing a civil war.

And then there’s Nahida. I’ll admit that in addition to Venti, people often criticize Ei and Zhongli for their actions, but people infantilize Nahida so much that I’ve never seen anyone talk about what she did and the horrifying implications of it. She gambled with Dottore of all people over the safety of Teyvat. She threatened to unleash the wrath of the heavenly principles. She gave away two gnosis, one of which wasn’t even her own, to the fatui. While the traveler was unconscious and didn’t get a say in anything. All for some secret knowledge.

I don’t like Nahida in general, but more than that I think she’s really suspicious. She can be so subtly sinister and ominous at times with everything I just mentioned. She’s admitted she hides things from us on purpose. And she’s constantly watching the traveler, getting in their head, even possessing them without their consent twice- which in addition to being very annoying, is also just straight up creepy. She’s actually possessed multiple people. Why is she so okay with repeatedly forcibly taking other people’s autonomy? I mean I know some of that was necessary to move the plot foreword, but she didn’t have any reservations about it at all, weird.

I didn’t mean for this to become about Nahida, so anyway yeah Venti’s just doing the same thing that all the other archons do, but it’s not even as bad as when they do it because he knows when to draw the line. He’s still saved his nation plenty of times. I’ll never understand why people hate him for it.

At this point in time I've completely stopped listening to Venti haters they never have a good reason for hating him because there is no good reason to hate him. Not liking him would be slightly different as his screen time is a lot compared to other characters who get either none or very little and I guess I can finally understand the whole "these stans have ruined x character for me" *cough cough stupid Lumine stans* and I know a lot of people view Venti stans negatively I mean the Twitter Venti stans are the worst people I've ever had the displeasure of seeing takes from.

But yeah asking Venti to do for his people what they explicitly don't want (to be ruled over by a God/to have Barbatos solve all their problems) always reminds me that this fandom is full of people with Paimon brain. Which means having no brain at all.

And there was that shrill voice at once proving his point, eyes rolling in response. Did it even look as though he were up to anything? And besides that, did it cross either of their minds the fact that he'd been with Nahida all this time - not that he needed her permission to leave her side or anything...he just preferred Sumeru at the moment, that's all. Ah, but what would trying to explain anything truly achieve? No matter if Lumine at times seemed to offer out a hand of friendship, in the end it was an empty gesture. Simply her heroic mannerisms playing their part.

"Huh, I thought Buer would have kept you more informed than this". The last time he’d even seen Lumine, had been when he’d attempted to last kill her - when she’d defeated him and helped Nahida to take away the Gnosis…after that he’d fallen and Maggie had taken him to Vanarana, where they’d been resting and healing with Nahida’s help. He was sure that the Archon would have kept the traveller in the loop with all that had happened, even if it wasn’t any of the blondes business. Honestly, he had no idea as to why the traveller wished to act almost as though they were some type of friends - she was quite acutely aware of some of his more recent crimes, after all.

Why he was so irritated beyond that though, he didn’t know. Another small sip of the tea was taken as he glanced towards the traveller and Paimon, slightly smirking at the way the both seemed to flinch. Ah, if they didn’t wish to be caught, they should have been better at hiding - though between himself and Maggie, they stood rather little chance of remaining undetected for long.

“I suppose I should have known you’d be here. Wherever there’s a spike in activity, the travellers not far behind”, he sighed, frowning ever so slightly, before motioning to the spare seats at their table, “Why not take a seat? It’s obvious you have something you wish to say”.

“You’ve got a lot of nerve showing your face here!” the small being began, though she immediately darted behind the blonde woman the instant she arched an eyebrow in her direction, peeking from behind her before continuing, “Don’t tell Paimon you’re planning a repeat performance during the lantern rite festivities!”

“You’re awfully quick to jump to conclusions, aren’t you?” she took another sip of her tea, setting the half empty vessel down on the table before her, waiting and watching as the young woman finally moved to take the empty seat across them, “We’re here for the same reason everyone else is…to enjoy the festivities.”

for this, I'll use lumine as the traveler and aether as the abyss twin as I chose lumine and I believe in lumine supremacy. although aether is so fckn pretty it hurts.

let's make it a regular impostor sagau situation where they are so obsessed with the creator that celestia was like, "oh damn, new idea. we create an impostor and make it so that they take the place of the actual creator so that we have control over all nations," and everyone believes it

lumine's friendship with those archons are going to belong in the trash as soon as she catches wind of what they did to the actual creator!reader instead of trying to solve it all it peacefully and rightfully so

depending on when those archons have realised that, the one sitting on the throne currently is the impostor and that the one they were ordered to capture/execute is their actual creator/god AND if they've already hurt you or not before or AFTER having figuring things out, their friendship could be saved... probably

as much as barbatos and lumine are close friends, we should also put into consideration that she keeps him, heck evey archon but nahida and ei somehow at arms length.

lumine knows that she shouldn't take what barbatos says to face value and zhongli signed a fucking contract to keep his lips sealed about what happened in khaenri'ah but venti just brushed past her questions/changed the subject

ei wasn't even involved in it but her sister was so I understand why lumine would try and help ei to better herself for her nation and nahida gave her as much information as she could about lumine's bro

so really, those two should be in the clear right?

well, maybe nahida is in the clear but not ei.

ei is stubborn and it's going to take a lot of convincing to prove to her that the one she's going after is the creator she should be protecting, not that fake ass sitting on YOUR throne

and that's going to put a strain to their relationship. as much as lumine understand the pain of being separated from your sibling, although she didn't lose hers, she's not backing down from fighting ei and, ever since the last time she confronted the electro archon, she has grown significantly stronger

besides, she also realised that dendro is the best element against and with electro.

and to be honest with you guys, I have this feeling that lumine would agree that knowledge is power, so having nahida on her team would be her first priority

having to convince a friend that helped her that the one they are blindly obeying isn't the real creator is going to be a challenge and that happens months before you actually show up

and when you do, nahida should be welcoming you with open arms as entrusted by traveler, before the impostor takes notice of your arrival, while lumine is in inazuma, trying to knock sense into the electro archon's mind

she knows that zhongli is a lost cause as she has an inkling that he signed a contract to protect the real impostor. and lumine's guessing that it was celestia's move to have the, at the time, strongest archon to protect their puppet so they can keep being in control

oh poor them, if only they knew that ei was stronger nowadays

let's imagine this, after fighting with Baal, she managed to convince the electro archon, will the archon in question be able to keep an act of still being the impostor's devoted acolyte?

let's go back to months before your arrival, before she goes to talk to ei, what about venti?

she could try to talk to him but, if it's usual (almost yandere) devoted barbatos, it should be easy to prove to him, almost immediately, that the traveler is not lying!

who knows what your divine gaze feels like when it's casted upon them? lumine.

who knows what you look and sound like? yes, lumine.

keep in mind that lumine has just been doing this to ... clear out the "misunderstanding" if you will. she doesn't want people to be worshipping some randos then later cry about it when it's too late, she did not anticipate your arrival when she asked nahida to be on the look out for you

she simply assumed that you would come back someday and, it looks like she was right

and I feel like, with foçalors being the archon of justice (or was it fair judgement? idk anyways) if she provides proof that the one sitting on the throne made for you was just a product of celestia to keep on having control over the whole of teyvat, all hell would break loose

zhongli would be devastated and lumine didn't even try to talk to him knowing that some contract must have been nullified after those proofs

venti and ei would be elated that they chose to believe their friend instead of blindly going after your head

and nahida would be by your side, smiling at you and reassuring you that everything's okay, you're safe

for now, I'll refrain from talking about scheznaya and natlan

but if the opposite happened and lumine's plan didn't work, she'd have to rely on herself and new allies after all

Alright, all I have left for the Loud House are 3D puzzles, geocaches, and Jenga. I tried lol.

For Scara and puppet reader’s wedding, it could either be a mix of both Sumeru and Inazuma? Or they have both. They have enough money to do that. I don’t imagine it to be very big. Small and intimate. Maybe Nahida should officiate the wedding… Hm, Ei would come, I believe. And with her, something to symbolize Makoto so both would be there for the pair. The Aranara should be wedding guests. They’re too cute to not invite.

I do have tentative ideas for the rings tho. I just want to joke about how fast Scara’s untying puppet reader’s obi cause he’s like lightening, aha sorry Cyno and Tighnari, I just had to. Scara legit having a smug look on his face when he realizes he’s the only one happily married. There’s exceptions yea (CtM) but would Traveler really want to have a team composing of Scara, Vyno, and Tighnari? There’s no Nahida to mediate unless… oh and Nahida might have puppet reader with her in Sumeru city when he’s out. Which does make me think that puppet reader covers up and is never seen without layers or their entire body covered except for Scara (and Dottore but that doesn’t count). But pretty puppet reader turning heads in Sumeru City (especially because of their kintsugi) is a THOUGHT. And Tighnari now has matching scars with them lol.

Omg geochaces with these three?! That would be so cool, and the games, it's those activities that they can get along in but jenga is a really reaaaally rigged game (and don't worry about hcs for them, the first fic for poly kavetham is intentionally vague)

I did some searching and there's a LOT of things for their wedding that it's absurd, especially when mixed. But the funny bit is that most pre-wedding traditions in Inazuma Scaramouche had already unintentionally done, like providing labor to his future spouse and exchanging important items with one another. So when Ei told him about these, he was so proud that he was doing it right.

There's also the sakaki tree branch offering in the Japanese traditions, so imagine Nahida plucking two branches from Irminsul for the wedding skdbdikeks did you know in Persian traditions, when doing the "I do" part, the bride is actually asked three times to signify the journey of the husband's effort to work for their love? I think it's adorable to see Scara's smile growing in every "I do" aww

And there's also the Chuppah, the canopy held over the lovers where the four corners are raised by four close female friends during the wedding procession. So I'm thinking Paimon, Lumine, Ei, and Nahida (if Zhongli is the wedding officiator, if not, then Hu Tao). And finally, the shower of flowers but it's mainly the Aranara throwing sakura blooms at them <33

And definitely no to that team, Cyno would try to backstab that man every chance he gets lol but now that you say it, the clothes in Sumeru do cover up a lot of skin it would be perfect to wear those when they're in the city so they don't attract too much attention. But yes, with the Kintsugi and being artificially made, the attention is a definite must more so with the Lesser Lord accompanying them <33 Scara doesn't know whether to be smug or infuriated about this info (while rings are not part of the culture, I think this incident is what convinced him go get one)

Also fuck I forgot Tighnari got struck too ajdbxkankb they definitely have a closer bond then, and looking at Reader's kintsugi (can't really hide the ones on their face) he wonder if he should get his scars tattooed over with gold too, although the pain kind of scares him enough to back down every time. Their friendship would be the bridge to all four (Cyno and Scara) of them getting along honestly, at least to remove the obvious hostility.
