This comic took me about 2 weeks to make and cost me everything, including my clear skin and sanity, but finally it's here, the continuation of this post from a year ago that I have gotten several asks in my inbox about.

My one statement before the new 3 chapters drop:

The current premise that the Yami, Ichika, Nacht vs Morgen fight has dictates that Lucifugus must ABSOLUTELY be brought up, because frankly there is no better setup in the current lineup to NOT bring him up.

Assuming dark magic in the Yami clan and them having devil lineage is because of Lucifugus, it could give introspection about Yamis clan, the massacre, the history and tie ins to the shogun.

Combined with how, assuming that devil worshipping families all have a devil they primarily offer stuff up to (Megicula to the Agrippas, Astaroth/the evil trinity to the Zogratis), then it could be said that Lucifugus would have both the Yami clan and the Faust family worship him, hence why the Yami clan had the devil pills and the Fausts had a relic to summon Lucifugus with. Thus combining both families in the narrative.

And to top it all off, we have Morgen, the black sheep of the family, now having the magic of the devil that killed his family and then later himself, going against his brother and his ex boyfriend and his would-have-been sister-in-law. Like Lucifugus and the devil worshipping agenda has to come up here, either for emotional moments or just straight to know how to defeat Morgen/what weakness Lucifugus had.

If Tabata doesn't put his ass in the chapter, I will have nothing to defend Tabata with and I WILL be ragging his ass from here on out. Cause how do you miss putting something important like that in the chapter specifically caused by the thing in mind

seeing a headcanon you disagree with and it kinda pisses you off

Fuegoleon:

- that he's undeserving of the captain title, or that mereoleona is more deserving of it than him... fuegoleon IS a great captain, not nearly as freakishly strong as mereo, sure, but you need more than strength to become a good captain and fuego has demonstrated many remarkable qualities as a leader (in fact, he's written as the ideal captain in asta's eyes)

- overall, I don't fw his slander which is annoyingly common in apps like twitter or reddit, even if I agree that he's been done dirty

Kirsch:

- that he's a bad brother... kirsch can be described by many negative words but being a bad brother isn't one of them

- this goes for both him and mimosa: I find it annoying when people tie them to either the silva or the vermillion, but not both families??! likewise, kirsch is so ignored sometimes in "royal" posts I can't help but feel bad for him :(

- no, nacht doesn't hate yami, he hates himself, and he doesn't hate the bulls or doesn't care about them either; he's projecting because he sees himself in them, but he did attempt to motivate them back into getting stronger to save yami

- speaking of the bulls, nacht was absolutely being an asshole who's projecting his own self-hatred and past self on them, no they didn't need to hear that (seriously, the last thing grey needed is to be told that she shouldn't look herself if she doesn't want to be judged), no half his points didn't make sense (like c'mon, how being an ex-noble is gauche's fault? he was a literal child!), and no, the bulls shouldn't prove themselves to him because they've already grown beyond the flaws he tried to shove back into them... so, seeing fans mischaracterize his character or use him to slander the bulls is always annoying and make me question people's reading comprehension

- his relationship with his devils... like, YEAH, I also tend to go with the positive vibes behind his interactions with them in the manga, but every so often I'm reminder that they're technically his slaves, (which is canon but correct me if I'm wrong) and I wish more people explore this twisted side of the bremen devils

Devils and Babies

The Bremen Devils are playing with Dawn and Dusk... Dawn: Buh waaahhh... Gimodelo: What is this little creature trying to say? Are you trying to communicate? Dusk: Nnnn! Ahboo! Walgner: They sound nothing like Master Nacht or Lady Josele. Plumede: Not even like Sterling and she's only a few years older, right? Gimodelo: What if... they're speaking another language entirely! Slotos: On it! (flies off and comes back with various dictionaries) The devils open and search the books... Gimodelo, while Dawn cuddles with him: Some of the words sound like ancient Arameic. Plumede: But this is more on the Babylonian side. (flicks her tail away from Dusk's hand) Slotos: This is kinda like demon speech. Maybe it's a different dialect? Wagner: And then they just seem to have various onomatopoetic "words"... Nacht, walking into the room: What are you all doing? Walgner: (explains the situation) Nacht: Who would've thought that baby gibberish would've caused you so much trouble. Gimodelo: What language is gibberish? Nacht: It's not a language. It just means "nonsense." Babies can't use words yet so they just make noise to communicate. (picks up the twins) They'll talk eventually, but not now. Devils: Oooohhhh...
