“Now that you’ve won Monaco two times in a row, you’re too good to play with us?” Alex teased the younger one as she stood on the side of the public padel court.
Y/N stuck out her tongue at him. “Not the guy in a Williams trying to come for me.”
“Auwch.” Lando said to Alex, impressed by his friend’s comeback.
“We can only play with 4 people, and I’m sure Miss Monaco would love to be umpire.” George argued, giving the young woman an expectant look.
She quickly nodded at the tall Brit, holding her hand up to her head as if she were a soldier. “Yes, sir!”
“No! She can’t be umpire! She’s gonna call all my shots out.” Lando complained, pointing at her.
“She’s not, Lando.” Charles defended her, although there was a doubtful tone to his voice.
Y/N smirked at the McLaren driver. “Well, now I will.”
“See, Charles? We’re gonna lose now.” He told his doubles partner.
“I mean- you were gonna lose anyway.” George started the healthy competitive trash talk.
“OH!” Charles and Lando loudly chorused, pretending to be hurt by his words.
“Warm-up first, or do we just get straight into it?” Alex asked the three guys after everyone calmed down.
Charles, George and Lando glanced at one another. “Just get straight into it? It’s not like we’re gonna take this too seriously anyway.” George suggested, already knowing it would turn into a shit show soon.
Everyone agreed with a small chuckle, and started taking their own respective places on the court.
“Alright, who’s gonna serve?” Charles loudly asked.
“Wait! We should do it like they do in tennis! Deciding with a coin toss!” Y/N suggested.
“You have a coin?”
“I think I have one in my bag! Oh, I also have my camera with me, should we do like a before and after picture?” She snickered.
“That sounds good.” Alex stemmed in, the others nodding as well. “Yeah, I like it when I’m all sweaty and people take pictures of me.” Lando sarcastically joked.
“Basically our job.” Charles grinned.
“They should calm down on all the can-“
“HEY! THAT’S MY CAMERA!” Y/N’s shouting interrupted their small talk, their heads swiftly turning to where she was standing.
They were just about to ask for a clarification when they saw the young woman run after, what seemed, an unrecognizable man that was holding her camera.
“Y/N don’t do that!” George yelled to no avail, not wanting her to get hurt by the thief.
The quartet didn’t hesitate in grabbing their own stuff before running after their unhinged colleague- Lando also quickly took Y/N’s bag in his hands, figuring none of her other stuff should be stolen too.
The five of them watched in frustration as the mysterious man climbed into a car that drove away at high speed.
“We have to go after him!” Y/N yelled, agony on her face at the potential loss of the device. “Did someone come by car?”
Alex, Charles and George shook their heads, while Lando nervously glanced at his friend. “Uh, I did.”
“Norris, please?” She begged, growing more impatient by the second.
“Can’t you just by a new one? It’s really dang-“
“It’s the camera that you bought for me!” Y/N admitted, hoping it would convince the Brit to chase them down.
Fortunately, it worked. “Alright, let’s go.”
“Do all of us go or…?” Alex hesitated following the two youngest ones.
“Yes, Albono! The more, the better! We can ambush them!” Y/N loudly answered, resulting in the whole group following Lando to his car.
There was a collective disappointment as they made it to his car, not expecting his blue Jolly Fiat to be parked there.
Lando spoke up before anyone else could. “Look, if I had known we would be doing a Fast & The Furious, I would have come with another car. Get the fuck in.”
Lando got in the driver’s seat with Y/N taking taking the seat next to him as she knew where they had sped off to.
The three others were about to step in, but quickly found out that there were only 2 seats in the back. “Uh, someone is gonna have to stay behind.” George noted.
“Oh, no, someone can just sit on someone else, it’s fine, I’ve done it before.” Lando assured them.
Alex, Charles and George gave each other a nervous glance. “Uh, so who-“
“Come on, ladies! Get it before those assholes see all the ugly pictures I’ve taken of you guys.” Y/N’s words shut them up and they cramped into the backseats, Alex somehow ending on George’s lap.
“Let’s catch some thieves!” Lando shouted out, although the speed of his Jolly made the moment anti-climactic.
Meanwhile Y/N instructed Lando on where to go, Alex suggested someone call the police- which Charles decided to do since he had the best knowledge of the French language amongst the three of them.
“Why does this thing go so slow?” George criticized the car, a judging look on his face.
“They took inspiration from the Mercedes.” Lando bit back, not appreciating the slander of his car.
Alex, and Y/N snickered at the comment. “More like from Williams.” The youngest corrected.
“Hey, that’s enough!” Alex defended his team.
The attention went from Alex to Charles as he hung up the phone. “They’re gonna dispatch a team, and advised us to respect the rules of the road.”
“Fuck the rules, I want my camera back.” Y/N said, yelling at Lando as he almost went the wrong way.
“You’re not being a good navigator right now!” He screamed back.
She groaned at him. “I’m literally pointing at where you’re supposed to go!”
“You’re not pointing good enough!” The two 23 year-olds start bickering back-and-forth with one another, much to the dismay of the other three men in the small car.
“Why are they always like this?” Alex whispered to George and Charles.
The both of them shrugged their shoulders. “Unresolved sexual frustrations is my guess,” he mumbled, “at least on Lando’s part, I’m still not sure what Y/N is.”
The Williams and Ferrari driver snickered at George’s answer, somehow understanding what he was referring to.
“Are you gossiping about me, Russell?” Y/N suddenly turned around in her seat, catching the Brit off-guard.
He merely shook his head, his eyes widened.
“Good, you wouldn’t want the others to know what you’ve been up to.” Despite the sweet smile on her face, the threatening tone to her words made the Mercedes driver feel uneasy.
“THERE!” Y/N’s loud voice made the entire car flinch, Lando momentarily letting go of his steering wheel.
“Y/N ARE YOU CRAZY? WE COULD HAVE CRASHED!” Alex scolded the young woman, almost falling out of the car as he was still seated on George’s lap.
“I’m sorry, Albono,” she smiled sheepishly, “but look, the police stopped them.”
The four men in the car let out a collective sigh of relief, glad their adventure was over.
Lando parked the car on the side of the road, behind the thieves’ getaway car. They could see a cop walking over to them.
“You called?” He asked in French, glancing at the five of them.
The drivers shamelessly looked at Charles, the man internally rolled his eyes at them, but he answered his questions.
After some questions back-and-forth, Charles pointed at the woman in the passenger’s seat.
“Y-your camera?” The cop asked in a heavy French accent.
Y/N nodded her head, a polite smile present. “Yes.”
“Would you, uh, mind filling out a little paperwork in the combi? You’ll get your camera back as well and can check if there’s any damage.”
“Sure, no problem.” She gave her colleagues a smile, and made her way towards the large cop car.
The four drivers remained quiet as the cop didn’t follow Y/N, instead lingering around Lando’s car. “It’s a Jolly?” He asked.
“Yes!” Lando answered, cringing at his over-polite voice.
“Aren’t those for just four people…” The man gave the four of them a stern glance, raising an eyebrow.
They awkwardly chuckled, not knowing what to properly answer. “Uh, well, you know, our friend, she, uh-“
“I’ll let it slide, this one time only!” The cop raised his index finger, indicating this would be the one and only time he’ll let them get away with it. “And don’t speed around. I know you guys are Formula One drivers, but you also have to respect the rules.”
“Yeah, we will. Thank you so much.” George thanked him in name of everyone.
Y/N came walking back to the car, a happy look on her face as she had her camera back. “It’s not damaged!” She excitedly told them.
“That’s great, Y/N.” Lando was relieved his present for her hadn’t been broken.
“You guys are free to leave, but next time I’ll have to give you a fine, alright?” The cop reminded them one more time.
“It won’t happen again, thank you so much.” The group of five chorused several sayings of gratitude, before driving back to the sports center.
“Well, that’s going to be a fun story.” Charles snickered, dimples on display.
The others laughed, only then realizing how bizarre this whole situation was. “I don’t think people are even going to believe this.” George noted.
“Oh my god…” Y/N mumbled.
The heads of her four friends turned towards her. “What is it? Is something wrong with the camera?” Lando asked, concerned about the device.
“Those fuckers took a selfie with it!” She exclaimed, disbelief written all over her face.
“What?!”
“Look at this,” she handed it to the three guys in the back, the small screen showing the two men in their getaway car, “who fucking does that?”
“Well, at least we have proof now…”

Noah unbuckled his seatbelt before reaching over to cup my face and press a soft kiss on my cheek. He got out of the car and came over to the passenger side to open my door for me. We walked hand in hand to my front door, the motion sensor lighting up as we approached.
“I had a really good time tonight” I said, my breath fogging in the crisp air.
He brushed a piece of hair behind my ear and smiled.
“Me too. I’m going to be thinking about that filet for weeks.” He chuckled.
“Thanks for picking me up and everything. I should probably get inside, it’s late.” I took a step towards the door, and he reached out to grab my hand.
”Can we do this again?” He asked with pleading eyes. I nodded my head yes, just as Lucy swung the front door open.
”There you are!” She yells, pulling me into the house.
“I’ll text you” I said to him before she shut the door in his face.
”You’re unbelievable.” I scolded her, while taking off my jacket and boots.
“Who even is that guy?” She questions, arms crossed over her chest.
”His names Noah. We’ve gotten close this year and he finally asked me out. We usually just study together but tonight was our first date.” She rolled her eyes in response.
”He dosn’t seem like your type.”
”Okay, then what’s my type Lucy?”
”Blondes.” She stated matter-of-factory. I huffed in response, walking towards the basement door.
I contemplated fighting back, but I was exhausted from my day, so I just went downstairs. Finally laying down on my bed I checked my messages.
Sab:
Please tell me that’s who I think it is on your story lol
Rafe Cameron:

I sighed, and decided to respond to the group chat with the girls first.
Hey, his name is Noah he goes to Kook academy w me lol. We got kinda close this school year and he asked me on a date so I said yes. That was technically my real first date like ever
TELL US EVERYTHING
Well we were studying for our history exam together since we have the same class together this semester, and he asked if I wanted to try out the new steak house that opened up on Willow Ave and I said yes. He picked me up, opened all my doors for me and even pulled out my chair for me when we sat down at the table. He picked up the check and the dropped me off at home. He kissed me on the cheek, I think he was going to make a move but my stupid sister cockblocked us. That’s about it
this is literally amazing news
He sounds like a true gentleman
Ya we wouldn’t know anything about that around here
So do you like him?
I’m still trying to figure that out I think. He’s a nice guy but I didn’t feel a spark like I’ve felt before.
Wait this is also news to me WHO HAS MADE YOU FEEL SPARKS

Yupppp its Noah lol
Sooo rafe’s out???

After a few more minutes of letting Rafe’s text sit there, I finally respond.
Yea, we study together
He immediately responded.
that didn’t look like studying to me
study breaks are a thing
yea at a fucking steakhouse be real
some men are more chivalrous than others
his chat bubble appears, then disappears. After waiting a few more moments, with no response, i click my phone off and head to the bathroom to get ready. After returning, there was still no response from Rafe, but I did have a text from Noah.
Hey beautiful, I made it home. I had a great time, let me know when you’re free, I’d love to do this again.
I had a great time too, I’ll let you know!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With my parents on the mainland for business and Lucy staying over at a friends, I had the whole house to myself.
I set everything up in a cute valentines theme, with heart shaped flasks, cookies baking in the oven, an assortment of snacks and sweet treats on the main coffee table, 3 bottles of red wine and a lineup of romcoms ready. Before I knew it, the front door swung open, to reveal Kie, carrying two huge squishmallows and a blanket, Cleo carrying what I assume is both of their bags.
”Y/N” they screamed in unison. I ran up to them, squeezing them both as hard as I could.
”I missed you guys so much” I sobbed, tears immediately falling from my eyes.
”Now don’t cry miss girl. We’re here now, no need to worry” Cleo affirmed, planting a kiss to my forehead.
As if on cue, Sarah walked through the open front door, a bottle of wine in her right hand a bouquet of flowers in her left.
”There’s my girl!”
I let go of the girls and embraced Sarah.
“God I missed you”
”yea you’ve seen my brother more than you’ve seen me!” She jokes. I give her shoulder a slight push, a blush creeping along my teary cheeks.
Kiara, while putting the stuffed animals on the couch, whips around.
”You see rafe a lot?” She questions, raising an eyebrow.
”Not like a lot…. Let me have a drink or two and I’ll fill you in.” I say, fiddling with my hair.
”Gods I can’t wait to hear about this” Cleo laps her hands together and sits down on the couch.
The timer on the oven beeps and I walk over to the kitchen, Sarah following behind, getting a vase from the cabinet, where we’ve always kept them.
“I forgot how well I know this places” she giggles.
”I’m sorry I don’t have you over anymore, Im sorry I haven’t been able to see any of you guys really. I’ve been such a bad friend.”
”Dude your parents are tough.”
”Coming from you ie? Yours literally kicked you out!”
”they did it cus I started seeing JJ. And they gave me an ultimatum. I chose him.” She said with a soft smile.
“Mine said they wouldn’t help me with college.” I said, hanging my head low, embarrassment flooding my head, realizing how selfish my reasoning was.
”okay yea but you actually have a real future miss smarty pants.” Cleo chimes in, walking into the kitchen to join us.
”I guess. I think you made the right decision though Kie, JJ is a great guy,and I’m sure your parents will get over it.”
”yea and if they don’t. I honestly don’t care” she says shrugging her shoulders. ”Plus, you know me. I don’t really like being told what to do.”
”I think that’s the difference between me and you. Sometimes I can’t function unless im being directed.”
”yea but it keeps you out of trouble.” She responds, reaching into the drawer to get out a bottle opener.
“Speaking of … I heard what happened on the beach … with the turtles and Ruthie and everything.” I say, using a spatula to take the cookies off the baking tray onto a cooling rack.
”God don’t even get me started. You should’ve seen them Y/N, they all just stood there. Even fucking rafe and Sofia.”
I stood up straight and slowly turned my head.
”Im surprised he wasn’t with Carissa” I say, with a tone of annoyance in my voice.
”She was so last semester. Rafe always has a new girl on his side for each season.” Sarah grumbles, holding out her glass to Kie for her to fill. The thought of Rafe and Sofia hanging out in public was too humiliating to even process. The last time we had seen each other outside of school was New Years Eve. I made it a point to avoid any of the parties that have been thrown so I can focus on finishing out the year strong, and to avoid having to speak about what happened between Rafe and I that night. It was frustrating to think Sofia is Carissa’s replacement. I wasn’t even a placement to begin with, I was just there. Floating around, like I always have.
“So what are you going to do to get back at her?” I ask, wiping my hands clean on a rag, trying to avoid the comment Sarah just made.
”We’ve been cooking up something” Cleo says with a smirk.
”Yea but the boys want to handle it themselves. “ Kie says, rolling her eyes.
”the fuck are they gonna do pull another gun on them?” I say, gaining giggles in response from all three.
”Anyone want a cookie?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a few rounds of the absurdly confusing card game Cleo tried teaching us, I felt bubbly and light from the wine I had been drinking.
“So Toppers with Ruthie now?” I ask, a slight hiccup escaping my lips.
“Yep. Well, as far as I can tell” Kie responded, placing a card down.
“Wait wasn’t he seeing Sab?” Sarah questioned. Cleo and I groaned in response to the card Kie put down, putting them ahead of us in the game.
I placed a card down and picked up another from the deck. “To be honest, i don’t actually know what’s even happened between them... they would just hang out at parties and she would stay back with him. I tried not to ask too many questions.”
The reality was, the more asked her about topper, the more I knew she would ask rafe. So I just left it alone, especially after she got mad at me for ditching her on new years.
Now that I think about it, I don’t even know who ended up being her new years kiss. Im assuming it wasn’t topper.
“Didn’t you go to his New Year’s party?” Kie asked, taking a sip from her cup.
“Uh yea, it was lame tho so I dipped pretty early.” Sarah started giggling, and I kicked her with my foot.
”What , what’s so funny?”
”Cus rafe just so happened to want to come back with my dad for new years. And he told me he ended up at toppers”
I can feel my face flush, as Kie & Cleos mouths drop open.
”Well, sounds like he came back for a special someone.”
”I have no idea what you guys are even talking about.” I say, finishing the last of my drink in a large gulp, standing up to get a refill.
“I caught Rafe FaceTiming her when we were in Bora Bora, so I can only assume he had quite the reason to leave a WEEK early”
”SARAH” I screamed from the kitchen.
“What! If it wasn’t such a big deal you wouldn’t be freaking out right now.”
”So you two…” Cleo asks with a smirk, tilting her head at me as I walked back in with a full glass.
”Look its nothing alright. When Sabrina and topper were.. doing whatever they were doing, I was always sucked into hanging out with them at parties. And we would just hang out. It’s obviously nothing serious, especially if he’s all over Sofia now.”
”So what happened between you two?” Kie asks, holding out her glass to get topped off by me. I fill her glass up and set the bottle down wit a sigh.
“Just a few hook ups. Nothing crazy. We see each other every once in a while. Usually when one or the other is bored. He seemed pissed about me hanging out with Noah yesterday though.”
”God is that why he was an asshole at dinner last night?” Sarah asks. I shrug m shoulders in response and look over to Kie & Cle, whose mouths are still hung open.
”And you’re okay with this?” Cleo asks Sarah. she laughs and puts her arm around my shoulder.
”I thinks he deserves better than Rafe, but it would be dope if we could be sisters. We’ve all been around each other since I can remember. If rafe didn’t suck so much I would throw them a wedding right now.”
”Alright bitch you’re drunk.” Kie says with a laugh.
”I’m serious though!” Sarah proclaims. “But can you tell us about Noah now?”
“I mean, he’s a really nice guy. Super sweet and all. He wants to go on another date.”
”This is awkwardly close to Valentine’s Day” Kie chimes in. I shrug my shoulders and bite my bottom lip.
”Yea, I told him I’d let him know when im free so I guess we’ll see.”
”Well do you want a boyfriend, or…” Cleo asks.
”I don’t know. But speaking of boyfriend… YOU AND POPE???? I HAD TO FIND OUT FORM INSTAGRAM” I shouted, practically leaping out of my seat. She swats her hands in the air and blows a raspberry through her lips.
”It’s not a big deal, it just kind of happened, ya know?” She says, using her hands to try and hide her face.
”Okay so you all three have boyfriends… I guess I have to get one now.” I proclaimed, taking a sip from my glass.
”Don’t rush into it though love, you need to find the right person for you.” Kie says, placing her hand on my knee.
I look around at the girls, flushed faces and pink lips from the wine we had been drinking.
”I love you guys” I say softly. Before I know it, im being tackled to the ground in a big group hug.
“We love you too, Y/N” Sarah says into my ear.
“And we always will” Kies muffled voice rumbles against my shoulder.
“Forever and ever” Cleo chimes in.

js read niecesitting and it was the cutest thing ever omfg but like i was thinking maybe u could write something similar but vice versa ? like when r introduces matt to her niece and matt sees how reader is js so protective and motherly over her, he’s like oh my god i’m in love
a/n ┆.ᐟ ᰍ ︵ got a lil carried away perhaps + daily sturniolo triplets taglist plug as per usual ۫ .
you really fucking wanted to go to the party, but here you were, with your niece. it's not like you didn't want to take care of her, no, but you did want to have a social life. it was one night but.. you and matt were gonna go out and have fun. pushing these thoughts away, you watched as the little girl sat beside you at the kitchen island mixed up her little concoction of makeup from her baby makeup set.
“wait, come closer,” rue taps your hand with her chubby fingers, trying to drag you closer. you shuffle your body near her, having put down your phone before letting out a soft laugh of your own.
“okay, we have a makeup guru here,” she pats your cheek for you to shut your eyes so she can apply the eyeshadow. her big, cute eyes light up when she sees her masterpiece come to formation. a flurry of giggles slip past her lips and she claps her hands excitedly. there's a childlike, mysterious wonder filling her brown eyes, which soon turns to curiosity when she hears the sound of the door bell.
“i'll get it, auntie!” rue practically runs to the door, despite the fact that maybe the adult should go get it. you're typing on your phone, snorting out a laugh at something stupid you'd read when you hear rue make a little scared sound, and you quickly rise from where you are to check out what's happening at the door.
“rue rue, hey, who's—” your hands slide over to hold onto rue's shoulders as your brow furrows, but your expression softens almost instantly when you realise it's matt. rue clings to your leg as you hold her, and you watch as matt eyes the two of you with total confusion. you can almost laugh at his expression.
“am—am i interrupting?” his blue eyes flicker down to rue's, watching the confused expression on her face.
“auntie? who's that?” she asks, tugging on your oversized shirt. matt tilts his head, probably thinking the exact same thing as the child.
“hi, matt,” you say gently, smiling softly. guiding the child to the side gently, you tilt your head for him to come in, which confuses the little girl. “rue, meet matt, matt, meet rue,” they just stare at each other, kind of like two animals trying to defend their territory. in which their territory is you. rue notices how nice you are to matt, and matt notices how protective you are of her.
“hey, kid,” matt runs a hand through his hair, shutting the door behind him and locking it with the key on the door before he follows beside you a little tentatively.
“uhm..” she seems nervous to say high, to which you gently nudge her to do so, but not forcing her to. “hi, matt,” she says finally, clinging to your side quite a bit. “are you my auntie's friend?”
oh, so you're her aunt, matt thinks to himself. so she's your niece. that makes a lot more sense to him, and he relaxes a bit. he didn't know what he was thinking, but he's glad to know who she is to you. and why you're so protective of the little girl. it makes a little warmth grow in his stomach, which he can't quite put his finger on.
“uh, yeah, yeah,” he nods, arms crossed across his chest as you guys made it to the kitchen where you'd been sat up prior. your eyes flicker to his and an apologetic glint shimmers in them as you gesture for him to sit with you guys. “yeah, your auntie’s friend.”
“mhm,” you glance at him as he sits beside you and rue seems to be deciding something, her little fingers drumming against the table before she spoke up, tone gentle. she looks to you, and attempts to whisper, but it comes out as a quiet shout more than anything.
“do you think he wants his makeup done too, auntie?” she tries to cover her mouth with her hand, and this makes matt smile. matt smiles even more at the way you indulge rue, by doing the same in covering your mouth and whispering just as loud—
“i think so. should we ask?” the way you play with her makes his heart ache. he doesn't know what the feeling is, doesn't know whether he wants to know. but he doesn't hate it. doesn't mind it. might even like it.
“you ask, he's your friend, auntie,” rue decides, glancing at matt in a way she thinks is sneaky, but she just full on stares at him, before looking back at you.
“matt?” he pretends he was checking his phone, just to indulge the two of you in the same way you'd done for rue.
“hm? yeah?” matt leans against the counter, his expression a feigned innocence and obliviousness.
“you think, the lovely rue here, could do your makeup?” you bite back a soft smile as your gaze meets his and especially as matt pretends to not really know whether she could. he leans back, stretching, with a shrug.
“hmmmm, i dunno..”
“please! you'll look so fab,” rue promises, holding up her little pinky to which matt finds himself interlocking his with hers in a pinky promise as he sighs dramatically. a laugh slips past your lips, and soon, you find yourself watching your boyfriend get his makeup done by your niece.
matt is the perfect client, staying perfectly still for rue as she does his blush, his eyeshadow, etectera. you watch in amusement, but also fondness. “are we all done?” he asks after a moment, his eyes still shut. he probably looks ridiculous, he knows that, but he wants to see the happiness on both of your faces.
“mmmh, auntie, what d'you think?” matt opens his eyes and allows both you and rue to see the new look. you hum, letting the little girl lean against your shoulder are the two of you inspect him. the way you treat rue makes him want to cry, tears of literal joy. he bites his bottom lip, but releases it as soon as he senses rue about to protest so he doesn't mess up his beautiful red lipstick.
“he looks perfect, honey,” you smile softly, and rue claps her hands excitedly. you too have your makeup done, and rue had somehow managed to grasp a basic form of colour theory and made your makeup match. as your niece bounds off to grab a mirror so you two can see your makeup, both you and matt make eye contact and burst out laughing instantly. “you do look perfect!”
“y’look even better, sweetheart,” he crosses his arms once more and leans against the table. he admires you silently, for a moment, before he speaks up, “you're good with her.”
“huh?” your brow furrows, and matt notices, so he continues, having now reached out to hold your hand gently.
“with rue. you treat her like your own kid, y'know?” his thumb traces a heart on your palm before he lets go, feeling a little too sappy for a simple moment like this. however, you nod, leaning against the table too as your head tilts to the side a little.
“that kid's my life,” you admit as you look up at him, squeezing his hand for a moment after you'd taken it back into yours. a soft smile plays on your lips, and you continue, “i adore her.”
“yeah?” it's like matt's taking a mental note of this. as he watches you, he nods. he leans over and presses a quick kiss to your cheek, leaving a red lipstick mark on your skin. god, he loves you. you are quite literally, unequivocally, perfect. and that realisation slowly dawns upon him as he searches your gaze for a second before he glances back over at rue's bounding footsteps with a little mirror in her hands.
“okay, line up!” she gestures the two of you over, and you both shuffle over with your fingers intertwined. rue has clearly very much noticed something as she flickers her eyes over the two of you. first of all, the interlaced fingers make her brows raise. then the red kiss mark on your cheek which is suspiciously similar to the tone of red on matt's lips.
you and matt glance at eachother for a moment, stifiling your laughter before you pose with eachother in the mirror, which then gives rue an idea. “auntie, can i use your phone?”
“go ahead, babe,” you smile, pressed against matt's side. rue hops up onto the chair to grab your phone, fiddling with it before she hands you it so you can turn it on. unlocking it, you hand it back to the girl so she can take the photos she wants to of you two.
“say… cheese!” she beams, smiling happily as she snaps a few photos of the two of you. she quickly turns and shows them to you, his eyes searching yours for a moment as you're looking at the photos. a glimmer of pure adoration gleams in his eyes and he glances at rue for a moment, who's looking back at him with a look that's way too knowing for a little girl her age.
“thank you for the makeup, kid,” matt gives her a smile, to which rue beams and nods, giggling.
“anytime!” she shrugs, as if it's nothing, glancing back at you. you look back up at her and you let out a little hum under your breath when you see the time.
“i think it's someone's bed time,” rue whines, and she looks at matt as if he's gonna agree, but he shrugs his shoulders with a little laugh.
“your aunt's right, kid, c'mon,” she pouts, but she hands the phone back over as she glances dramatically at the stairs. her eyes roll and she glances back at you once more.
“can you get my bedtime story ready?”
“you got it, missy, stay right here you two,” you agree to do your niece's bidding, and you head on upstairs to sort out her pajamas and stuff, which leaves matt and rue together. a comfortable silence settles over the two of them.
“so when are you getting married?”
“i don't.. we aren't—what? who.. hey, woah, no—what colour ring would she like?”

(basketball!abby created by the lovely @elsweetheart)
grunting, as she sets down her heavy backpack, she sees you standing in the doorway
you’re the mystery girl. her mystery girl.
you’re just walking into the class, anxiously searching for a familiar face when you lock eyes with her. you’d seen abby anderson before, i mean, she’s the captain of your university’s basketball team.
you quickly scanned the room, looking for anyone else you knew, but ultimately decided on taking a seat next to her.
“hi!” you quickly smile and wave, setting down your pink tote bag at the seat right next to hers.
“oh, um hey” she says, freaking out internally “you’re y/n right? i’m abby” she asks, smiling. “yeah, i am” you laugh “you play basketball here, right?” you question
“yeah- um i do. i’m the captain actually” she clears her throat. what. the hell. she knows me?!?? stay calm abby.
“cool! i’ve always wanted to see you guys play but just haven’t really gotten a chance” you admit, sheepishly, toying with the trim of your baby pink sweater
“i mean, we have a game tomorrow night… that’s if you want to come, of course” “really? i’d love to come!” you chirp
“if you’d want to go earlier i could- i could pick you up, like when i’m on my way… like you could watch us warm up and everything. it sounds boring so if you wouldn’t wanna-“ “yes! omg of course that sounds fun!” she freezes for a second, almost shocked at the fact that you’d even want to see her play
“really?” “yeah” you grin. she’s kind of cute you think to yourself
she stands there for a second, and then fumbles for her phone “can i have your number? so i could text you all the times and… stuff” “sure!” you pull out your phone, which has a baby blue case with little bunnies on it, “here” you take her phone, typing in your number and adding your name, with a little ‘♡’ after it
she hands you your phone back, with her contact now saved “so i’ll text you tomorrow, yeah?” “yeah!” you blush, and turn to take out your laptop
that whole afternoon, she stares at your contact in her phone, drafting about 101 texts she doesn’t dare send.
unbeknownst to her, you’re doing the exact same thing.
the next day your phone ‘dings’
abby: hey, is 4:30 alright? i have to get there earlier and stuff
you: yeah that’s perfect! :) this is my dorm btw
*1 attachment*
abby: i’ll see u then
you: see u!! ♡
a heart???? does that mean anything?? she thinks, mind racing.
you panic, checking the time. “ITS ALREADY NOON?? I NEED MORE TIME TO GET READY” you squeal, alerting your roommate, dina, who was in the middle of doing some homework
“oooo getting ready for who??” “you’ll never guess. not in a million years?” “who?!” ellie, dina’s girlfriend, asks sitting up from dina’s bed “um how long have you been here?” you ask the auburn haired girl, startled. “ummm too long. anyways who is it??” “abby anderson.” you say, quietly, almost in a whisper.
“abby… anderson?” she asks, brows furrowed. “yes… sorry els i know you hate her or whatever” you wince “hate is an understatement. did you know what she said to me in freshman gym??” “ellie, please” dina warns, clearly having heard this story plenty of times
“yeah fine” she shrugs, pulling the duvet back over her head.
“okay so where is she taking you??” dina asks, turning to face you. “well… to her game tonight. it’s not a date or anything!” you say, ignoring the brunettes eye roll “that’s very boring. anyways you should wear that new jean skirt you got last week” “i was thinking of wearing that! with what top though? the pink one? “that’s really flowy?” “yeah!” “and then the white sweater over it!”
“dina. you are literally my fairy godmother” she shrugs off your compliment, “i’m just that good” she brags.
you nervously sit on the edge of your bed in the shared dorm, as ellie and dina already made their way to some party
two sharp knocks on your door echo through the room and you quickly sit up and make your way over to the door, adjusting your purse on your shoulder and you turn the knob.
the door swings open, revealing the muscular blonde in front of you.
“wow.” she breaths out

He is anything but loving towards Reader however when her parents are mysteriously killed, Bucky makes it his mission to find out who were at fault. And in the process, ends up coming close to losing Reader.
Authors Note: okay, now were getting to the good stuff. I'd be interested if any of you have any ideas on what you think was in those vials that Dr. Banner had? Tags for this will be open, just shoot me a message or comment if you're interested!

Arranged Masterlist
“Hi detective Roth, this is Y/N Barnes calling you again. I’m wondering if there are any updates in my parents' case. I haven’t heard anything in a couple of days. Call me when you can, thanks.”
With a sigh, I pocketed my phone and adjusted my position on the couch. My laptop was perched on my lap as I scrolled through the few files of case notes that I did have, hoping something different would gain my attention that hadn’t before.
After our fight last night, Bucky had retreated down to his office for a while and then he sneaked back into bed right before the sun rose. It was well into the afternoon as I had yet to see or hear from him, the door to his office being shut all day. I wondered if Bucky had taken what I said to heart about being off the hook with our marriage. As much as I didn't want to admit it, especially in front of him, I had begun to grow strong feelings for him.
“Y/N?”
I peered over my shoulder and smiled towards Steve. “Hey, where have you been all day?”
Steve ran a hand through his long hair before sitting on the couch next to me.
“Buck and I have been busy. I thought I could come check on you to see how you’re doing. I heard about your little side quest last night.”
“I’m guessing Bucky bitched about it to you?” I closed my laptop and set it onto the table in front of me.
He nodded. “He’s not mad at you, Y/N. He’s more upset at the fact that you lied to him.”
“I had too. There was no way that he would let me go if he knew what I was doing.”
“You don’t need to defend your choices to me,” Steve raised his hands up. “But Buck cares about you, that’s why he was so upset.”
With a defeated sigh, I nodded. “Yeah, I know. I know.”
“Plus,” he bumped our shoulders together. “If you took me last night, I wouldn’t have ditched you the second the cops showed up.”
I sat on top of my knees, fully facing Steve. “I can’t believe John did that! The second we heard sires, he was gone.”
Steve and I shared a laugh but when a cough sounded from behind us, I saw another one of Bucky’s men leaning against the doorway. It was the darker skinned guy, Sam Wilson.
“Mrs. Barnes?”
I cringed at his formality, realizing that this was the first time we had officially met.
“Y/N is fine,” I gave him a warm smile.
He returned it without hesitation. “Bucky wants you in his office; both of you guys.”
Steve and I shared a look before we followed Sam down the long hallway to Bucky’s office and when we stepped inside, I couldn’t stop the way my feet froze at the sight in front of me.
Bucky sat at the large table in his office, Steve and Sam taking their respective spots next to him, and on the table was a variety of guns and stacks upon stacks of money. His blue long-sleeved brought out the richness of his eyes and I bit the inside of my cheek at how well it clung to his muscles.
“Oh, I thought you wanted to see me,” I stated and began to back up.
He leaned forward in his chair, arms resting onto the table. “Find any new information in the same files you’ve read before?”
My shoulders dropped with Bucky’s words, him somehow knowing I had been staring into the case files all morning without him even leaving his office.
“Nope,” I admitted.
Bucky motioned for me to come towards him with a finger and I obliged, still unsure why he had all of this stuff laid out on the table. But I then noticed what was hiding underneath all of the guns and money; case files dealing with my parents, some that I had never laid eyes on.
“How’d you get those?” I pointed.
Steve stuffed the stacks of cash into a bag before locking them away into a safe that was built into the wall. He placed a large picture over it, concealing its placement. Sam had begun doing the same thing with the guns, only hiding them in a faulty floorboard and once they were hidden, he tossed the large rug back over it.
“Okay, I’m starting to think I shouldn’t be seeing all of this,” I said and began to walk out.
Bucky reached for my hand, halting my footsteps. “No, I wanted you here for a reason. Sit down.”
He nodded towards the empty chair next to him and I obliged, hesitantly.
“You’re not going to stop looking into your parents murder, are you?”
I shook my head.
Bucky handed me a thick folder that was filled with witness statements of people that had seen my parents all throughout their last day. It was the usual names that I had seen but there was one name that stuck out, one I had never seen before.
“How did you get this?” I questioned.
He remained silent but he didn’t need to tell me how. He unwittingly had connections in law enforcement and other mob bosses around New York that probably owed him a favor or two.
“Wait,” the thought slammed into me. “Have you been looking into their case as well?”
Bucky nodded. “We all have.
My eyes shone with gratitude at the three men, especially towards Sam who hadn’t even met me yet and he was willing to help out. I voiced that to him, and he gave a small chuckle.
“You’re important to Bucky so it’s important to me.”
I gazed over towards Bucky and placed a hand on his flesh arm. “Thank you for this. Even after what I said to you last night you still continued to work the case?”
He brought my hand to his lips and left a firm kiss on my wedding ring. “I’d do anything for you, doll. You mentioned how I’m off the hook, but I don’t see it that way. I agreed to the marriage for your parents but I’m staying because of you.”
Tears pricked at my eyes, but I blinked them away before they fell.
“I’m sorry for last night,” I apologize with a deep breath.
Bucky placed a tender kiss on my lips, my hands cradling his face.
“All is forgiven, doll.”
“Does this mean I get a little bit more insight on what you actually do behind closed doors?” I asked, hopeful.
Bucky’s shoulder went rigid with hesitation. “Let’s agree overtime I’ll fill you in. There are some things that I don’t want you to know for you-.”
“My safety,” I finished with a nod. “I know.”
Steve’s phone rang loudly in the room and as his eyes skimmed over the screen, his face fell.
“Stark is at the front door requesting a meeting,” he informed Bucky.
Bucky cursed under his breath and knowing this was going to be something I my eyes shouldn’t see, or ears shouldn’t hear, I rose to my feet and gave him a quick kiss.
“I’ll be in the living room if you need me.”
With a soft pat to my ass, Bucky sent me on my way, but only to be stopped by Tony Stark who almost barreled himself into the office.
“Well, hello there Mrs. Barnes.” He smirked.
“Hello Mr. Stark. I was just leaving.”
Tony quickly shook his head. “This will be quick, and it pertains to you.”
“It does?” I questioned.
Bucky was fast to his feet and gently moved me behind him. “What do you want, Stark?”
Tony pulled four golden envelopes out of his jacket before passing them out to each of us. Quick fingers worked to open it and my eyes doubled as I read the invitation.
A gala in support of the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. James Buchanan Barnes. Saturday the 23rd at eight pm. Formal attire only.
I scoffed. “You’re throwing us a party?”
“A celebratory gala since you two never had a wedding. All of our associates will be there, think of it as another way to get your product out there.”
Bucky stiffened in front of me and I placed a gentle hand on his back. He eased into my touch only slightly.
“Y/N can’t make it. She’s busy.” Bucky stated.
I wanted to protest however with the way Bucky had clenched his jaw and the anger I felt radiating off of him, I realized that he really did not want me to come with.
Tony tsked while adjusting the sunglasses on his face. “She’s the bride and guest of honor. Has to be there.”
He bid us all a goodnight and once he was gone, Bucky slammed the door with a few choice curses.
“Mother fucker did this on purpose!”
I shook my head with utter confusion. “Why would he do this? Throw us a party? He barely knows me.”
Steve ran a hand over his beard. “Bucky, he knows that if you bring her with you it's going to be a distraction for the buy. Anything Stark can do to make sure he gets a bigger cut.”
My ears perked up. “Buy? For what?”
Bucky placed his hands on his hip while keeping his gaze trained hard on the hardwood floor beneath our feet.
“Is it even ready? Have we tested it?” Sam questioned.
I grew even more annoyed that they continued to talk about whatever this product was in front of me but yet to fill me in on what exactly this product was that Bucky had been working on.
“Can someone fill me in on what the hell you’re talking about?” I demanded while looking at each of them.
Bucky sighed before grabbing my hands. “I promise I will fill you in but not now.”
My lips parted to interject but with the pleading look in Bucky’s eyes, I snapped them shut. He had been thrown off guard because of Tony’s surprise gala. The last thing he needed was me pestering him for more answers.
So instead, I placed a soft kiss on his cheek. “I’m holding you to that, Bucky.”
I decided to leave the three of them amongst themselves, knowing that they needed some privacy to discuss whatever the next steps would be.

𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐌 ➔ ETHAN LANDRY
—synopsis. Ethan has been acting suspicious after you fall into trouble and get saved by New York's friendly neighborhood spider-man
—notes. sorry this took so long to get out! I've been very very busy reconstructing my blog. genre/warnings.. Canon level violence considering it's spider-man, Ethan is very shy but you guys make out!(yay), Ethan is kinda dave lizewski coded as well🗣
Late nights at parties were always extremely fun but getting home was a nightmare. You were walking home from a party which was fun but way to far from your dorm. You were also really really anxious with the ghostface killer going around lately killing people so you were trying to stay alert but freaked out when you saw the mask described in the news sprinting at you. You quickly start running but fall when you realize that your heels were stopping you. You quickly took them off and started running barefoot through the empty late night streets of New York. suddenly you hear a thud and see the killer was on the ground, passed out. You then looked and saw the boy in the red and blue suit who goes around the city saving people, spider-man. Your eyes widened with your mouth fallen agape. He quickly jumps down and helps you get your composure back. "is it ok if I bring you home to make sure you stay safe?" You quickly nod and start walking. You both walked in creating an almost natural conversation, getting to know eachother as much as you could considering he's a masked hero. It was somehow comforting considering how you almost just got butchered. "This is me. thank you so much, spider-man. I truly owe you" you say with a thankfulness in your voice to show that you're glad he got there when he did. "It's not problem. It's my job just make sure to stay safe. I hope to see you again but probably just in different circumstances" he says with a light laugh at the you. You laugh as well and smile at him softly "I hope so too". Even though you've just met him it was like you has known him for longer. He was still standing there but you felt as if you already missed talking to him, and feeling his friendly presence. "I have to go now but we'll see eachother again. It was nice meeting you, y/n." he says softly, and after that he swings away on a web.
When he got home that night he took off his mask and freaked out a little bit. You see, Ethan had the biggest crush on y/n ever since high school. He of course thought you were out of his league but a boy can dream. As he laid looking at the ceiling imagining getting to talk to you and tell you how, he feels his eyelids began to fall as he slipped into gentle slumber. You stayed up that night thinking about the mysterious boy in the red and blue suit, and how his gentle voice sounded so familiar. You didn't think into it too much though and just decided to go to sleep.
After that encounter with spider-man you started to develop a friendship with this boy from your economics class. His name was Ethan and he was a really sweet but sort of shy boy. On the other note spider-man would visit you almost every night at your window.
knocks were heard at your window. As you got to the window you noticed the familiar mask and immediately opened the window for him. As he climbed through the window he greeted you with a happy but nervous tone in his voice. "Hey y/n I actually stopped by earlier tonight because there's something I really want to get off of my chest." he says as he sits next to you on your bed. There was a frantic nature to his fidgety movements. "I've been thinking about this for a while and I just wanted to say that- I really like you as more than a friend so I don't want to keep secrets with you. I trust you more than anyone." He struggles to let out his words before they come pouring out in a natural flow. Your eyes widened as he pulls off my mask and tufts of chocolatey brown curls become visible from underneath. you let out a gasp as you look at him as his mask is completely off. Ethan looks at you with a nervous look and laughs as a smile begins to emerge on your face. You quickly tackle him excitedly and hug his toned frame. "Oh my gosh, Ethan I'm so glad that you feel the same way and I didn't have to say it first because I'm TERRIBLE at words" He let's out a laugh and hugs you back, hiding his face in the crook of your neck. "You really are confusing aren't you?" he says with a teasing smile. "Yup, you bet" you reply with a sly smirk. As you continue to hug him you give his cheek a kiss and snuggle into the crook of his neck. As he strokes your hair gently with a smile he whispers into your ear " so will you accept me as your boyfriend?". You look at him with a slight smile and utter out "does this answer your question?". Your lips meet his with fervor and longing. The kiss wasn't slow but it wasn't desperate. It was simply a kiss between two pining people who waited for so long to be in eachother's arms, and feel the love they shared mutually. As that kiss went on, it got more desperate and clingy. His soft plump rosy lips met yours as soon as you pulled away over and over. His hands making their way to rest comfortably on waist, as your hands tangled into his soft, dark brown, curly hair. He pulls away with a laugh and looks at you with a look of happiness yet a certain fear and sadness. "Promise me you stay safe y/n if people found out we are together they would go after you. Save yourself by not telling anyone about us." He says as he holds your face to look straight into your eyes. You look at him and nod with a soft smile. "You know, you remind of that one song, "After the storm"" you say as you connect your phone to your speaker to play it. "why?" he says as he chuckles at how you have a habit to relate everything to a song. "Well you're a very encouraging person. telling people to keep going even if you feel you can't. You shy but you have a very bright air about you" he looks away with a blush as hides his face.
"well Ethan, I guess you have to go now before Chad starts asking questions about why you're at my apartment." He gave you a look of disbelief and questioning asking "how would he know?" you smirk and look at him with a look of humor. "because your location is on". His eyes widened and he quickly had to get up and put his mask back on as he exclaims "SHIT!!" Before he gets ready to go through the window he quickly says "okay see you tomorrow, y/n. love you, bye!!" he says as he swings away. You laugh and walk back to your bed and got under the covers. Going to sleep with thoughts of this new-found love.

warnings: fluffy, shy Steve, just very sweet
✨ college steve playlist ✨
A small knock on your dorm room door and another piece of paper slipped through the gap at the bottom of it. It wasn’t the first one you’ve gotten. It happened all the time, to be honest. Sometimes it was a note, saying something along the lines of ‘You look beautiful today’ or ‘You make me smile’. Sometimes it was little drawings, hasty sketches but laced with so much precision, you could really see the talent behind it. And they were all signed by ‘Grant’.
It was super sweet, but the problem was, you didn’t know a Grant.
The first time it had happened was a Friday, about two months ago. Wanda had picked up the paper on her way to the closet and handed it to you with a smirk.
“Wo’s Grant?” She had teased with excitement, thrilled to finally see you getting yourself out there again. But her face had fallen when you answered with an equally surprised look on your face. “I don’t know who Grant is.”
By now, you had gotten used to the little messages you received almost regularly, even missing them a little when ‘Grant’ had not sent you anything that day. It was exciting to figure out the mystery of your secret admirer, as Wanda had proclaimed, you wanted to know who it was. Who wouldn’t, right?
But you had no idea. And after another two weeks of Wanda obsessively searching for your secret messager, you slowly began to give up, just enjoying the little gifts and accepting the forever unknowing of this mystery. You made peace with it. And besides, it wasn’t like the people you wanted would want you back, anyway. There was this one cute guy in your elective class, Steve Rogers, but he was kind of ignoring you. And who would blame him, you’ve heard many people talk about how cute he was, he had plenty to choose from. The people you’ve seen him hang out with on campus were very hot, too. And super nice. But they never held anything more than small talk with you.
You weren’t very lucky when it came to relationships and dating. Which was why it was so nice to have those little messages passed under your door from time to time. It showed you that you weren’t totally undesirable. Which you weren’t. There had been one guy that had asked you out last semester but he was a total weirdo. And then there was A girl named Yelena, but she just disappeared halfway through the date - said there was an emergency, well, you knew what that meant.
So yeah, to say you were lost was an understatement. Which was why you resumed pining for the hunky blonde in your class that smiled at you from time to time. Today, you had said class again and after yet another uneventful lecture, your professor had asked each of his students to sign up for the fundraiser he organized this semester. And as you stood in line, someone suddenly tapped your shoulder.
“You dropped this.” You turned and came face to face with Steve who was holding a pen out to you. You were frozen for a second, just looking into his blue eyes and fighting not to get lost in them.
“Oh, thank you.”
“No worries.” He smiled and then looked away, almost shyly.
You turned back and made another step as the line in front of you got shorter. But your mind was racing, your hand clenching the pen in your hand as you thought about the tiny interaction with Steve. This was your chance, right? He was literally standing right behind you.
You turned around again. “Steve, right?”
A small smile snuck on his face, his eyebrows raising slightly, “Uh... yeah. And you’re Y/N, right?”
“Yeah... hey I don’t want to come off weird or anything, but would you maybe wanna grab a coffee with me?”
“Now?” He asked surprised.
You laughed nervously. “Well, preferably after we signed up. I’m not standing in this line for fun.”
Steve chuckled as he bit his lip and it was the prettiest thing you’d ever seen. “I would love to.”
Now you were smiling like an idiot as you turned around to hide the little fist bump in excitement. You would mess this up, this was your chance! You stood next to Steve as he leaned over the table to write on the sign-up sheet.
“Do you have a favorite coffee shop?”
“Stan’s place is nice,” you mumbled with your arms crossed, glancing over the way Steve carefully signed his name down.
“I’ve heard of it...” He said concentrating, but you were too distracted by the name he scribbled on the dotted line beneath yours.
Steven Grant Rogers
Could it be? Your heart began to race as you saw the way the G curved on the page. It was engraved into your memory by now. This was the ‘Grant’ you had been seeing for weeks, scribbled at the bottom of countless messages.
“Your..,” you began, but your throat felt dry. “Your middle name is Grant?” Your voice had done a weird squeaky thing at the end of your question, and when Steve stood up straight to look at you again, his smile faded.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah... I’m just a little surprised. I’ve been getting some messages lately.” You told him carefully. Curious as to what his reaction would be. It seemed as though Steve realized, at that moment, just what you had discovered. And to your surprise, the too-cool-for-you facade you had prescribed him fell off his body like a curtain. He was blushing, his hand immediately rubbing at his neck, but he couldn’t hide it anymore.
Quite frankly, you didn’t know what to do with the revelation. Secretly, you had wanted it to be Steve. But at the same time, the person you had crafted in your head with the help of the notes and drawings, didn’t match the man standing in front of you. It was confusing and exciting, and scary, and nice.
“Uhm, I guess there’s no use to pretend anymore, is there?” He asked embarrassed and your heart fluttered.
“I... I thought you never noticed me.”
Something hushed over his eyes then. It was gone as soon as it had come, but it made Steve look sad. “Never noticed you? You’re all I ever think about. I just didn’t know how to tell you...”
“Oh.” You smiled, willing your giddy heart to calm.
You were quiet for a moment, and Steve was fidgeting with his arms, trying to place them somewhere else. And when he finally settled on holding his elbows in front of his chest, his biceps bulging and drawing your attention, he spoke. “So, about that coffee,” he pressed his lips into a line nervously, “can we make it a date?”
You bit your lip while chuckling slightly. “I would love to.”
If you've come this far, please show this post some love. Reblogs and comments are greatly appreciated 💕

challengers smut cuz duhhh… who would i be if i didn’t write about it.
i didn’t rly proof read. it’s 5 am. but enjoy!!
cw: breeding, mating press, threesome, oral… yeah
wc: 1.9k LMFAOOO
lmk if u want a part 2, left it open ended :P
something about you was different. i mean, who would’ve thought that the scary lookin’ girl was an insane tennis player. sure you had a bit of a temper when it came to the court, but you played damn well. you could always spare a few profane penalty points. you were always great at intimidating your opponent. your looks alone–sleek black hair, tied into twintails. a tattoo on the back of your hand, and others scattered around your body, begging to be found. those dark eyes filled with rage and mystery. there was something different about you.
it was the last set of your match against some painfully racist white bitch from arizona state, and you were obviously in the lead. it was her serve. she swung once, hitting the ball into the net forcefully, resulting in a low chuckle from you on the opposing side of the court. you weren’t scared. she served once more, finally actually making it across the net, and hitting an underhand to try to throw you off. you smacked a backhand aggressively, slamming the ball into her service box with a loud echo. that was the end of the match. “COME ON!!! that’s too easy!!” you laughed out, almost sinisterly. everyone cheered for you. you were that mysterious player from the bay that had just entered the tournament, blowing your way up and through the ranks. all of the guys were in love with you. you were powerful on the court, and off of it. shaking your opponent's hand over the net, you congratulated her sarcastically, a scowl painted on her face. ‘what a sore loser, and a racist,’ you thought to yourself.
—
now you found yourself at the party of champions. a room filled with the male and female winners of the tournament. you stood in the corner, swirling your drink in hand, gazing into the liquid. none of the other female champions wanted to converse with you. honestly, they were intimidated. although you had just joined, your reputation preceded all of the circulating rumors. downing the rest of your drink, you straightened out your dress, a black strapless one bordered with black lace. your hair was loosely curled and draped over one side of your shoulder, revealing your delicate collarbones. you made your way to the drink table, set on pouring yourself another. if no one wanted to talk to you, at least you were getting free alcohol. your hand hesitated over which to choose, finally landing on the vodka.
“i know that hand tattoo when i see it. you’re f/n l/n, right?” a soft yet daring voice stated from behind you. finishing your pour, you turned around, faced with two of the cutest little twinks. god how you just loved men. to the right stood the one with curly brown hair, sparkling eyes, and a sharp nose. the left, a cute little blonde, blue eyes, and a defined face. they both towered over you, shockingly.
“hm.. i know you.. ‘fire and ice,’ right?”
they both let out a soft chuckle at the title. “yeah, guess that’s us. you know us?” the blonde countered.
“mhm, you guys are the successful pair, course i do. congrats on winning, patrick and art..,” you sipped your drink, leaving a soft red stain from your lips on the glass.
“hey well, you too. we just wanted to say, we love watching you play. i mean, it’s not even tennis anymore. you’re playing a whole different game out there,” the brunette joined in.
you let out a soft hum of approval. they recognized you. you looked up from your cup with a soft smirk, your gaze bouncing between the two of them. they certainly were intriguing, on and off the court. seemed a little gay, too.
—
few more drinks in your system, and you were now on the bed of their hotel room, bated breath as they sat on opposing sides of you. whatever you had gotten yourself into, you were definitely in for a time. each had a hand up your dress and on your thigh, rubbing soft circles into your hips. you turned your head to face patrick, eyes fixated on his lips as you let them hover over his own for a bit to tease him. then, you turn to face art, not kissing patrick juuust yet. you press your lips to art’s, sucking on his bottom lip softly, causing him to let out a soft whine. it was so cute. patrick’s calloused fingers trailed up your torso and to your breast, pulling down the top of your dress slowly. he immediately cupped your soft and full breasts in his hands, inching his mouth closer to the skin, his breath slightly tickling your pebbled nipple. he latched onto it with his hot mouth, swirling your sensitive bud around with his tongue in a circular motion, making you moan softly into art’s mouth. you pull away from the heated kiss, a small string of saliva stretching from your connected lips. with an already hazy expression, you look down at their laps. god, they both had big dicks, both forming a substantial tent in their boxers, decorated with damp patches of precum. art’s fingers carefully unzipped the back of your dress, helping you pull it over your head as you lifted your arms. you lean on your side into patrick’s lap, helping him shift his boxers down his waist, allowing his hardened cock to spring out and almost smack you in the mouth. as you took his length in your delicate hand, art shifted his positioning to rest on his knees at the foot of the bed. with careful fingers, he hooked them under the black lace of your panties, shifting them to the side to reveal you in all of your holiness. your sweet, pink and puffy folds, already glistening with your slick. patrick’s hands laced through your silky hair, holding it back for you as you took his fat tip into your warm mouth. he leaned backwards on the bed, propping himself up on his elbow as he watched you, and the scene unfolding before him. you swirl your tongue around the swollen head of his cock, giving a few kitten licks. after being trapped in a mesmerizing trance, art finally dove practically head first into your dripping pussy, lips latching onto your sensitive clit, making you whimper softly with patrick’s length in your mouth. art traced his index and middle finger around your slit, teasing it softly as his tongue circled your puffy clit relentlessly, making you cry out softly as you gasped for air on patrick’s dick.
“go easy, art… can’t have her finishing just yet…” he groaned out in a husky tone, pulling you up gently off of his length by your hair. art chuckled lowly, crawling back up onto the bed beside you. he laid back, his back pressed against the headboard as he pulled you by your hips to sit on top of his lap. he pumped his cock a few times, positioning it against your slit as you look down at him with a half-lidded gaze. patrick rested on his knees right behind you, grasping onto your hips and slowly pressing you down, forcing you to take in art’s cock inch by inch.. oh so slowly. he pressed hot kisses to the crook of your neck, trailing down to your shoulder as art thrusted into you, the sound of skin slapping filling the room. fuck it felt so good. patrick’s hands cupped your tits again, massaging them roughly as they bounced up and down with the force of art’s plunges into your squelching cunt.
“fuck’she’s so tight… feels so good..” art muttered out, watching patrick grope your tits with his large hands.
“think i can fuck ya better, princess..?” patrick whispers, his breath tickling the shell of your ear. you let out a soft and incoherent mumble, unable to properly speak as art’s tip threatened that spongy spot of your pussy that made your head go blank with each growing thrust. art’s eyes were glued to the two of you above him–your head thrown back into patrick’s shoulder, hair cascading down his arm as you gasped softly for air. patrick’s rough fingertips making their way down to massage your clit, adding more pressure to that growing knot in your stomach. you let out another soft whine, pressing your fingertips into art’s abdomen to try to stabilize yourself, even just for a moment. patrick’s fingers traced upward to your lower stomach, pressing the outline of art’s cock as it reached even further, causing you to writhe softly in his grip.
“guess pretty boy got a pretty big dick, huh…” patrick teases softly, resulting in a breathless scoff from art.
art had heard enough of patrick’s remarks. he stopped his thrusts, picked you up from under your ass, and pressed you into the sheets. he was now looming over you, and folding your legs above your head. it’s a good thing you were flexible.. patrick moved to sit just above your head by the headboard, holding your legs firmly in position by your knees with the back of your head rested on his lap. oh god you were in for it now. art pressed a soft kiss to your lips before tapping his leaking cock in between your soaked folds again, sinking into you with deep pressure and determination. he had to make sure he bottomed out.
“m’fuck….!!” you mustered out in a shaky voice, your body twitching once again.
art immediately picked up the pace, pulling his cock out almost all the way and plunging back into you, causing an awfully lewd squelching sound to emit from your dripping cunt. you let out another soft cry, your head and eyes rolling back in patrick’s lap. patrick gently caressed the skin of your legs, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead as you looked up at him with fucked out eyes. art was letting out a soft mixture of moans and whines now, pounding into you at a brutal pace with extreme fervor. he couldn’t pick a place to look at. your bouncing tits that matched his pace, patrick’s seductive expression as he watched his dick disappear in your pussy, or your desperate face– tears threatening to spill out of the corners of your eyes, your mouth hanging open, back arched as soft cries escaped. it was all so much. he felt it now. he pumped into you at an insane pace, his hips stuttering as he shot hot and thick ropes of cum into you, reaching so deep. he slowed his pace, giving a few more languid thrusts as he slowly pulled out, watching his cum explicitly drip out of your sore pussy.. boy was it a sight! patrick let go of your legs slowly, putting them back down on the bed in their normal position as he caressed your jaw softly, letting you catch your breath for a moment.
“my turn~” he crooned softly into the shell of your ear, his smirk hitting your soft skin, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.

Born in the Wrong Era| Wally Clark x Alive!Gender Neutral! Reader
hey everyone! I was playing around with this idea of Wally and an Alive reader and this came out. This will be a multi-part fic and I hope you guys enjoy it!
chapter warnings: use of Y/N, grief, a bit angsty
word count: 1.1k
edit: I added a couple of sentences at the end because it felt muddy before. i hope y’all enjoy it!
sunday
You stare at the beige house you’ve gone to ever since you were five years old. This is your home away from home, your go-to hiding spot. Unfortunately, once a year the typically warm space turns cold. Homecoming is a little less than two weeks away and while school is a buzz; the Clark household comes to a stop. You let out a big sigh and walk up the steps to the chestnut barrier between you and your –albeit unofficial— second grandmother. Your grandmother, Ceceil and Bea were best friends since forever and Bea was always around you growing up. She was always sweet to you. Helping you with homework, going to the farmers market, and of course, taking you to the homecoming game with her ever since you could walk.
What you didn’t realize until you were older is her shutdown before the homecoming game. The lights aren’t on, and the blinds are just barely cracked. She doesn’t come over for dinner and she wallows in his letterman jacket. No one blames her either. Who could? She lost her son while he played their favorite game. Regardless, someone has to ease her into homecoming week and that used to be your grandma’s job but she passed away 3 summers ago and you willingly took on the responsibility.
That’s why you’re here today. Easing the bee back to the hive. You finally knock on the door and you hear a faint “Come in.” You let yourself in and you find Bea on the couch watching Invincible. You sigh as you hang your coat on the rack and join her on the couch. She’s the first to break the silence.
“You know Wally would have really loved this movie.”
You smile sadly. “It seems like it. He was a big fan of football.”
Bea nods. “We both were.” She laughs.
“You know I always say that Wally could have had a story like Vince. The former high school star, finally making it big.”
You laugh with her. When you turn your head to her, you see the tears in her eyes.
She falls onto you and just sobs. You run your hand in circles on her back while she cries. She continues like this for a couple of minutes. When she lifts herself off your shoulder, you make your way to the kitchen to get her some water. You have to wash a cup because most, if not all the dishes are in the sink. On your way back to the couch, you see something slightly puffy with hints of blue and white, in a box in the laundry room.
“Here you go Bea.”
She takes the glass from you, grateful. “Thank you Y/N.”
You wait a moment before prodding about the mystery box.
“Do you mind me asking what’s in the box, in the laundry room Bea?”
“It’s some of Wally’s old stuff.”
You go wide-eyed.
She laughs again. “I know. Big step. It’s time. The kids today could probably benefit from a couple of retro items. In fact, can you grab the box?”
You do as she asks. As you walk it out your suspicions were confirmed, she was getting rid of his jacket.
“Y/N you’re the best bonus kid I could ask for. I want you to have a couple of things.”
You tear up. “Bea I couldn’t.”
She places a hand atop of yours. “I want you to. I feel like he would too.”
You look down at the box, his letterman calling out to you. You pick it up and examine it. For being over 40 years old, the jacket is in impeccable condition. You take a closer look at the sleeves and they look a little small for your arms. You put it back down. Bea frowns.
“What’s wrong.” “The sleeves. They’re too small for my arms.”
Bea picks up the jacket. “I know a seamstress who might be able to make the sleeves bigger. I just need your sleeve cuff and wrist measurements.”
“Bea, I don’t want to be a bother.”
She swats the air after she folds the jacket and places it off to the side. “You could never. Plus this is yours now, it should fit. Now, be dear and grab my tape measurer. It’s in the drawer of the table in the hall.”
You smile softly as you retrieve the item Bea requested. It doesn’t take long and you both decide to pack up for the night.
“Thank you for coming by Y/N. Seeing you always makes me feel better.”
You smile back at Bea as you tuck her into bed. “I feel the same about you Bea. Now you get some sleep and I’ll see you Tuesday.”
“Wait. Make sure you take something else from the box. I feel bad that the jacket didn’t fit.”
You didn’t want to battle her about taking her kindness for granted; so you said “Sure. Please get some rest and I’ll see you in a couple of days.” She nods and turns on her side to face the window, finally settling. You make your way down the small flight of stairs and debate doing the dishes or not. You look at the newly risen moon and decide to sneak over tomorrow and do it. As you make your way out the door you notice there’s something in one of the jacket pockets. You walk over and take out a walkman. Excitement washes over you as you open it and there’s an old mixtape of his in it.
“No… it couldn’t.”
You flip the tape over and put on the Panasonic headphones as you press play on the walkman, and “Paint it, Black” by The Rolling Stones floods your ears.
This is gonna be fun.
-monday-
You cannot wait to get out of this hell-hole. Granted it could be so much worse and you could actually be noticed by people and be teased for your obsession with the 80s and musical theater. Its more fun to be alone anyway. Especially during lunch. I go out to the football field as that’s the only time it’s free of… well anyone. You take your normal spot on the center bleachers “One Way or Another” flowing between your ears when some weirdo starts tossing a football around, impeding on your lunch. He’s pretty far away so you can’t see his face that well but he kind of reminds you of a young David Schwimmer?
“Hey David Schwimmer! What are you doing?”
He looks around before pointing at himself. “Me?”
You roll your eyes. “Yes you, there's no one else here!”
You watch as he makes his way closer to you and you decide that your privacy isn’t worth being yelled at some jock.
“Look man, I’m used to having the field to myself but I’ll go. No need to come over.”
You pack up your stuff and as you walk towards the gate separating the bleachers from the rest of the school.
“Wait!” The jock calls out. You debate whether you should stop or not. You wish that you had kept walking.
Nothing could have prepared you for the face the heavy breathing was coming from.
“Wally?”

I DECIDED TO MAKE A POST ABOUT MY GENERINE REACTIONS TO ACCIDENTAL BF PT 4 (omg pls read this series it’s a gem by the wonderful @tenkover)
also i was just causally looping this edit while i was doing this
"You reach up and fix his crooked septum. He blushes. That damn thing."
SINCE WHEN DID TOMURA HAD A SEPTUM (ngl I actually looked up what it was bc idk what it was and I WAS SHOCKED MY JAW DROPPED)
“Why would I want to,” Tomura smiles and kisses the top of your head. He wants to absorb you… you can crawl into his ribcage any day and make yourself at home."

“The Izuku thing, for example, like, we started off as friends just getting to know each other and out of the blue he gets handsy. It felt like all the friendship building was just… fake– and it was. His entire personality changed when I told him I won't be with him. I've had that happen before. It makes me feel… so alone. Or just generally talking to men. If you're nice you are flirting and they feel entitled to your… well, body. It hurts. And if you aren't nice… you put yourself in danger. My dad taught me to always be polite– well, too much because…. I was nice to my stalker. It's dumb– I am. That's also why I always do what people want… it is the path of least resistance.”
OH SHIT IZUKU LORE WITH READER
also reader being real here bc I always feel like I have to put on a mask around certain people so I sometimes have identity crisis (that’s why I relate to furina and mafuyu A LOT)
“He's always late!” Himiko sighs. “I'd never let you wait, (Y/N)-chan! If Tomura ever lets you wait– just text me, kay?”

SOFT LANUGH 🥹🥹🥹🥹
“When I'm back… can we maybe go on a date? Get Boba and sit in the park?
BOBA DATE BOBA DATE BOBA DATE (I’m drinking one rn)
“Please just leave… go to your boyfriend.” You frown and a lump grows steadily in your throat. You look at the back of his head. His light hair looks badly tangled. “Touya… is that the problem?” “Yep.”
OH I AM RIGHT!!! (not but surprised but STILL THE REVEAL 😤😤😤)
Yes. Thank… you. Hey, one more thing… you're not a serial killer?” “When does it become serial?” “After 5?” “Oh no then we're good.”
OMG I SEE YOU USED THE REFERENCE IM SO HAPPY HDHROWCHOAFNNQ
“During semester break he showed up here and introduced himself as my boyfriend to my dad. I don’t know if you know how charming Izuku can be… my dad loved him. And… I had to play along because if my dad knew that I have a stalker he would never let me go back to uni. So… when he finally pissed off I tried to do damage control and told my dad that I was planning to break up with him– this is so stupid.”
IZUKU you mother fucker
He snorts. “Talk later… honey..?”
HE CALLS US HONEY 🥹🥹🥹 (I love nicknames like those)
Toshinori wraps his arms around you, almost smothering you with the intensity of his embrace. “Kid, you don’t ever need to justify coming home.”
HOW COME IM SURPRISE THAT ITS TOSHINORI (FOR SOME REASON I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMEONE DIFFERENT BUT I SHOULDVE EXPECTED IT DAMN)
“You love him,” Toshinori chuckles and wipes his hands on a kitchen towel before starting to chop up some tomatoes. “You should see how your eyes are sparkling right now.”
TOSHINORI BEING A BEST DAD 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭
“You are Dabi!” You wave the phone.
OMG THE REVEAL DABI AND TOUYA R THE SAME PERSON (but not surprised bc cmon)
“Holy shit. Now I get what you were saying– Tomura is the guy you have a crush on."

"Dude, I thought you were confessing TO ME!”
I THOUGHT SO TOO
“No– did you just forget I am gay or what?! Be for real.”

Inspired by this -Specifically the word Matching- by @lesservillain, let's say it's a prequel to kinktober, but not nsfw (? Also, it never hurts to imagine Stevie as Fred Jones.
Words: 1.2k
Warnings: None, maybe Fluff, I guess.
Even the 4 glasses of mystery punch Steve had drunk didn't stop him from wanting to hang Robin, and maybe himself for that matter. He was very drunk when he accepted this bet, like, too drunk. Robin, on the other hand, was completely sober, and took advantage of his state to play a trick on him.
The bet was that, if Steve managed to get a date for the Halloween party, then he would shut Robin's mouth and she would cover for him for a turn, but, if he didn't get a girl by then, he would have to wear a costume of Fred Jones, one of the main characters of an animated series called Scooby-Doo. Unfortunately, Steve lost.
"Come on, Stevie, don't make that face, the costume looks great on you" Robin grabbed some snacks from the table as she laughed under her breath. She wasn't lying, the costume fit him like a glove, and more than one girl had licked her lips just seeing how the white shirt fit perfectly around his torso. In a way, it reminded her of his time at Scoops Ahoy.
"This is extremely embarrassing" he muttered, going back to pouring himself some punch. His eyebrows were furrowed slightly, but his tone was still soft, he wasn't capable of getting angry at Robin. "You're lucky I appreciated you enough not to insult you like I want to."
Robin opened her mouth, ready to tease him about his fondness for her, but was quickly interrupted by a guy with messy hair and exaggerated red makeup.
"Steve!" Eddie stepped in front of Robin, grabbing Steve's shoulders and starting to drag him into the backyard of the house, "Why didn't you tell us you were coming with a date?"
"What date?" asked Robin and Steve at the same time, the surprised look on their faces causing Eddie to let out a too-loud chuckle.
"You know, Y/N" all three stopped at the same time, sharing looks of confusion, "Don't tell me you don't know Y/N? She's a friend of Chrissy's, she goes to every game to cheer her on."
"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not in school anymore, Eddie, hopefully I know you two, and Nancy."
Eddie turned his gaze to Robin, who only replied with a shrug, "I'm not looking out for the audience, I have to concentrate on what I play."
"God, you guys-"
"Eddie, you came!" the cheerful voice of Chrissy made the three of them startle, turning at the same time so they could see her. She was wearing a beautiful angel costume, it contrasted perfectly with Eddie's. They still couldn't understand how they could be such friends, "I thought you were busy."
"I was, but I made the time" he nodded slowly, starting to smile in a machiavellian way. "Hey, Chrissy, one question, your friend, Y/N, what did she come in disguise as?".
Steve coughed discreetly, stomping Eddie's foot. He didn't even know the girl yet and already felt embarrassed.
"Oh, it came from Daphne" Chrissy smiled brightly, pointing her hand at a girl with a purple dress and red hair. Steve could almost swear he felt his heart skip a beat. "Did you see her? She looks so beautiful! It's like the costume was made for her."
Eddie nodded in agreement, gritting his teeth through the pain that still lingered in his foot.
"I saw it a while ago, it's almost as well done as our 'Fred's'" with an all too feigned smile, Eddie rounded Steve's shoulders and pulled him close enough so that he was in Chrissy's viewing frame.
"Wow, I hadn't noticed," Chrissy's tone became a little sharper, and Steve thought he saw a glint in her blue eyes, "it really suits you, Steve."
"Thank you" he murmured embarrassed, at what point had he become so shy of compliments?
"The two of you should take a picture together, you'd look great" Steve tried to refuse, to tell her that he didn't want this to be forever etched in a photograph that anyone could use against him, but just as she arrived, Chrissy fled into the crowd and disappeared, not letting him have a say in the matter. At least, Steve thought, she was distracted enough to forget that idea.
The rest of the night, to Steve's surprise, was quite... pleasant. Many girls approached him to talk, or at least that was the excuse they used, it was more than obvious that they just wanted to flirt with him. It had been a long time since he had been in that situation, had it always been this awkward? He liked having a little female attention, it made him feel wanted, desired, but the conversations were so embarrassing that he couldn't help but feel nauseous, maybe he had had too much to drink.
"At last you are unoccupied" a shiver ran down his spine as he heard that soft voice speak to him. He was sure he had never heard it before, so he didn't understand why it had that effect on him. Yes, he definitely needed to lay off the alcohol for tonight. "I wanted to talk to you earlier, but I didn't want to interrupt."
When Steve turned around he couldn't help but think how cute you were. He was pretty sure you averaged the same as Chrissy, but with a little more body, your eyes were so bright and your smile felt so infectious. He wanted to squeeze your freckled cheeks.
"Uhm, sorry, not intentional" hr mumbled awkwardly, for some reason his head wasn't working as it should. "You must be Y/N."
You laughed nervously, you couldn't get it through your head, that Steve fucking Harrington knew you. "And I suppose you must be Steve."
"Bingo!" he shouted unconsciously, an overly unbalanced drunken laugh made you smile tenderly. You never imagined it like that.
"I see we came combined" you pointed at his disguise with your index finger, smiling as you watched him frown in confusion and look at himself.
"Oh, yes, Daphne and Fred" he nodded in agreement, "were the two of them a couple or...?"
"They have chemistry, if that's what you want to know" you grabbed a plastic cup and poured yourself some juice, you hated drinking at parties like this. "I didn't think you liked this kind of series."
"Oh, I don't like them" he nodded in agreement, leaning his hip on the kitchen counter. You felt too watched, and too nervous, "I came in like this on a dare."
"That's a pretty good costume to have been on a dare" you took a sip of juice and looked at Steve, he really did fit the character.
"I guess, it was pretty simple, really" he mumbled slurring his words.
"There you were, Y/N!" Chrissy paused at the entrance to the kitchen, watching you both intently, "Oh..." a big grin appeared on her face and she was quick to pull out of her backpack - which she hadn't taken off so no one would steal it - a camera.
Steve and you both grimaced almost at the same time.
"What are you doing with that?" you tried to take it from her, but Chrissy grabbed your hands and dragged you over until you were standing next to Steve.
"I'll take a very beautiful picture of you two" she brought the camera quickly to your eyes and took the picture. You didn't even have time to react. "Aw, you're so cute" squealed Chrissy, heading for the exit doing little hops.
"Chrissy, wait!" you set the glass down on the counter and looked at Steve with an embarrassed look, "Excuse me, I have to go get her, I'm so sorry about the picture."
And you left. And Steve stayed. And a too-unnecessary idea stayed with him.
"Should I watch the series?"

“I know you can be louder than that”
You were still thinking about the words that your mystery guy had whispered in your ear before he gave the most toe curling orgasm you’d ever had and probably would ever have going forward.
It was both amazing and sucked, because while the sex had been incredible you had no idea who he was or where to find him. The odds of you ever seeing him again were slim to none.
Or so you thought.
What happened last night was a rare occurrence. It wasn’t often that you went wild but when you did you went WILD.
You could count the number of times you’d gone home with someone on one hand, and you’d still have fingers left. But given the opportunity you’d fill up both hands and all ten toes if it meant he was responsible for all of them. Sex aside, the most memorable thing about him was his smile. It was wide and genuine, the kind that made his eyes crinkle and made you want to smile back at him without even knowing who he was. That’s what had started it all. That damned smile.
You sighed and threw yourself down on your sofa. There was a loud racket from down the hall, and you assumed someone new was moving in, which is why you didn’t bother to check. It wasn’t uncommon to get new neighbors now and again, and while you normally would have introduced yourself, you were too busy sulking about your once in a lifetime sexual encounter to get off the sofa.
As the morning wore on the racket became almost impossible to ignore and when multiple voices now joined in, your curiosity got the better of you. Grabbing your keys and stepping into your shoes. You locked your door and as you turned the corner you collided with a person carrying a box, and both of you stumbled and the box fell, contents spills across the walkway.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry-“ you gasped, leaning down to start picking things up.
“It’s fine don’t-“
You both glanced up at the same time and your mouth fell open a little.
Your mystery guy from last night was kneeling in front of you, staring at you the way you were staring at him.
“Oh my god.” You said leaning back a little, smile stretching across your face.
“Well well. I thought this place looked familiar.” He chuckled and extended one hand, that smile spreading across his face “Matt. We didn’t do introductions last night…I don’t think.”
“I don’t know. We were both pretty trashed.” You said with a giggle extending a hand also “Y/N”
“Nice to meet you…again that is. I was kicking myself this morning for not getting your name or number last night and figured I’d probably never see you again.”
“Guess the universe had other plans for you.”
“Not complaining. So you live here I’m assuming?” He asked straightening up. He had been hot last night, especially illuminated by the neon at the bar, but in the daylight?
Wow.
He was even better looking.
He was also wearing a very tight T-shirt and even though you’d seen him in no shirt, and no clothes period, you couldn’t help but stare at the veins the went from his forearm down to his hand, and the muscles that were clearly visible through his shirt.
“I do. Guess we’re neighbors now then huh?”
He smiled and picked up the box “Guess so.”
“Well if you ever need to borrow a cup of sugar come to me first.”
“And if I need something else?” He took a step forward eyes peering into your own.
Wow we’re they blue. You’d really missed out on the fine details last night. But in your defense you hadn’t been thinking with your eyes.
“Depends on what it is.”
His eyes twinkled as he jerked his head over his shoulder in the direction of his apartment.
Your heart was beating in your ears as you followed him, excitement bubbling up inside of you. While this probably wasn’t going to result in some kind of a relationship between you, it could result in some awesome, semi-regular sex that you were more than okay with.
You watched as he set down the box and closed his front door, lock clicking as he turned to you. You were backed up against the kitchen counter, the same one you had in your own apartment, and watched as he very slowly made his way over to you. He was sweaty, curly hair everywhere but he looked hotter now than he did last night, if that was even possible. His lips pushed up against yours, hands low on your waist. It was slow for just a few seconds before he swiped his tongue across your lower lip, and pushed it inside your mouth, hoisting you up on the counter. His hands came up to either side of your face, as he pulled away and came in at a different angle. You felt like you were drowning as his mouth moved heavily against yours as you let a breath escape. Your tank top strap slipped off your shoulder, exposing top of your bra. He slid down the other one, your shirt coming to pool around your waist. You let out a breath as he pulled away for a second, looking down, one hand coming to rest between your legs. You gasped, eyes moving up to meet his own, as he gently moved your underwear to the side and rubbed a small circle before he slipped two fingers inside.
You wanted to scream at the top of your lungs but instead you bit your lip and let your head fall back eyes sliding closed. The sensation between your legs was almost blinding you when he suddenly pulled his hand out, and picked you up, carrying you back to what you presumed was his bedroom. You both landed on the mattress with a small “oof” and his mouth was immediately back on yours. You pulled his shirt over his head and quickly pushed his shorts down, kicking out of your own shorts and allowing him to pull your underwear down. He spread your legs apart, eyes moving up your body until they landed on your face. He slotted himself between your legs before he leaned up and whispered in your ear.
“I’m going to make you feel so good”
He pushed slowly inside of you, your back arching up off the bed. His head fell forward as he pulled out and pushed in again with a small gasp.
It was even better than last night, as you glanced down and watched the muscles in his abdomen flex as he moved in and out of you. Your reached up your hands placing one of either side of his lower back, digging your nails into his skin. He leaned forward kissing you roughly before he pulled out of you and flipped you over, pulling you on to all fours before he backed you up and pushed back inside of you.
“Oh my God.” You moaned out as he hit a spot you weren’t even aware existed, one hand splayed on your lower back. The other hand wrapped around your hair and twisted it giving it a very firm tug. The sensation of your hair being rugged and the warm friction that had built in between your legs was too much as you felt your body heat up and for the second time in 2 days, he’d given you an earth shattering orgasm that had you screeching as he pushed sloppily in and out of you. You collapsed under him and closed your eyes as he pulled out slowly and landed next to you. After a few moments he glanced over, giving you that smile that had started it all.
“I think I’m going to like living here.”

Switched and Bewitched
Chapter 4: There’s a very logical explanation for all this

“Why the hell are you guys sleeping together?” Daphne hissed. Light had just begun seeping through Velma’s bedroom windows. It was 6am at the latest. Velma stirred slightly and Shaggy’s eyes slowly opened. Scooby was still dead asleep between them, snoring. “Is there something... going... on?” Daphne’s eyebrow raised.
“Like, no, Daph. Did you forget I’m a scaredy cat? On what planet would I sleep alone in a big, unfamiliar -” he yawned “house in, like, the future. Are you crazy?”
Without opening her eyes, Velma said, “There’s more going on between Shaggy and a chocolate sardine sandwich than there is between the two of us. Why are you in here so early?”
“I wanted all of us to talk without Tim around. That guy gives me the creeps. Can you come down to Fred’s room?”
They gently roused Scooby and rolled out of bed. Velma grabbed her glasses from the nightstand and they padded after Daphne, as quietly as possible. Fred was in a hospital bed, an IV still in his arm, but overall looked much better than when they had seen him at Coolsville Memorial.
Daphne placed a hand on his forehead. “Fred, honey. Wake up.”
Fred snorted and woke up with a start. “Hey, babe -- uh, everyone.”
“Like, up ‘n’ at ‘em, big guy,” Shaggy said.
“Are you up for a little early morning mystery solving?” Velma asked.
Fred carefully pulled himself into a sitting position with Daphne’s help. His attempt to put on a brave face was semi-successful at best. “Of course, Gang. You know me, I’m up for some good ol’ fashioned mystery-solving any day, any time. What do we have?”
Fred’s room was set up to support trap planning, which fortunately included a wall-sized white board opposite the bed. Velma rolled up her pajama sleeves, tossed an Expo marker to Shaggy and Daphne, and divided the board into 5 sections. “I want to know who remembers what and see if there are common themes.”
“Sounds like a good place to start,” Fred said. “I remember entering the witch’s cabin and, during the struggle with her, there was a blinding light. Purple maybe? Blue? I’m not really sure.”
Velma jotted down the date of the encounter with the witch and Fred’s account.
Daphne approached the board, notating similar details, and followed it up with, “I agree with what Freddie said, but I saw she had something in her hand.”
“Nothing to add here,” Shaggy said.
“Rike, re reither.”
“I’m having flashes of... other things...” Fred added. “Things that don’t make sense.”
“Like, me, too, man!”
“Reah.”
“Same here.” Daphne nodded. “I noticed it almost as soon as we got here. I’m so... confused.”
The Gang spent the next hour compiling a list of all the memories they had that seemed to belong to someone else. Many of them didn’t make sense, but they were able to connect a handful together. In the end, the lists read as:
VELMA:
Hawai’i
Witch doctor
Time Period: 1960s/1970s
Hotel (location unknown)
Vampire
Time Period: Unknown
Crystal Cove HS
Dating Shaggy
Time Period: Unknown. Estimated 2000s.
Wedding dress
Time Period: Post 1900s. Approx. early 2000s.
What does “Hot Dog Water” signify?
No other identifying information.
Southern zombies ($)
Time Period: Unknown, unclear.
Boyfriend named Winsor
Time Period: Unknown, unclear.
DAPHNE:
Little boy in a yellow sweatshirt. Located in snowy mountains. (#)
Bright red van. It could be the mystery machine.
Playing a game called “Wizards and Warlocks.”
Yelling about an open window.
Hosting a television show with Freddie and investigating a mystery involving zombies and... a giant lobster?
Talking robot bird. Located in a Spanish-speaking country.
FRED:
Beignets in LA with the Gang; zombies; no traps on record.
Red Herring and a motorcycle (let the record show that Red Herring WAS responsible)
Investigating gator people in gatorsburg (go figure).
Woman dressed in black/red with a bat necklace -- a singer? Absolutely, positively, definitely not as pretty as Daphne.
Group camping trip resulting in investigation of a sheep laundering business. No, not washing sheep.
SHAGGY:
SPAGHETTI... I MEAN A YETI
CHINATOWN ON NEW YEAR’S EVE -- SAN FRAN (I COULD TELL BY THE EGG ROLLS)
BOY, MUSTARD YELLOW SWEATSHIRT (#)
SCRAPPY-DOO (%)
RED SHIRT, BLUE PANTS -- > HAIRY MONSTER (RED SHIRTS IN DRAWER UPSTAIRS?)
CRYSTAL COVE (*)
SEXY ALIEN GIRL (LIKE, TOTALLY THE MOST GROOVY LADY)
SCOOBY:
RAPPY-DOO (%)
RAVEMAN RIN ROCK ROF RICE
“Clearly some of these “memories” are connected,” Fred said.
“There doesn’t seem to be a particular pattern, however,” Velma said. She stood in front of the white board, brow furrowed, as she identified sets of memories with various symbols.
“Shaggy, must we put “sexy alien girl” on the board?”
Shaggy sighed. “Like, Daph, it’s the only positive memory I’ve gotten out of this. So yes, sexy alien girl is staying on the board. I can’t even describe how groovy she was... is? Man, this time thing is confusing me.”
Daphne pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of the board. “There, now we can keep a copy of it.”
“Excellent idea,” Velma said. “Fred, how are you feeling?’
“I’m alright. Getting better every day, you know?”
“Like, how are you actually feeling, Freddie?” Shaggy asked.
Fred rolled his eyes. “Awful. I feel awful. They said I almost died!
“I, for one, am glad you didn’t.” Daphne said, kissing Fred and hugging him carefully.
“Me, too,” Shaggy said, crashing their hug. Velma and Scooby both followed suit. “Like, is it time for breakfast yet?”
“We can table this for now,” Fred said. “I don’t see us putting these pieces together any time soon.”
The staff at Shaggleford Manor served a large breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, eggs, orange juice, and coffee. Shaggy and Scooby took six of everything, of course. The nurse wheeled Fred out to the table and the guys started chatting about the last football game they had watched: 49ers vs. the Cowboys on 11/27/1969. Velma, normally one for a chatty group breakfast, grabbed a bowl of fruit and wandered out to the front porch. She sat, looking over the unfamiliar Coolsville. Daphne followed behind a few minutes later, sitting next to her on the steps.
“Are you doing okay?” Daphne asked.
“No. Are you?”
“No,” Daphne said. She delicately picked at her cuticles. Her decades-old manicure was chipping.
Velma nodded, staring ahead, and quietly bit into an apple.
“Sooooo... you and Shaggy, huh? Sleeping in the same bed? Dating him in one of your memories?” Daphne teased, bumping Velma’s shoulder with her own. “Do you have a crush on him? Are you guys together? C’mon, you can tell me.”
“No, I don’t have a crush on him and no, we are not dating. I already told you, there’s more going on between Shaggy and a sandwich than between me and him. And we don’t know that they’re memories, per se. They could be part of whatever the witch did to us or something our scrambled brains developed as a coping mechanism for neurological trauma.”
“I just think you two would make a really cute couple. And clearly you like him at least a little bit if your brain is responding to ‘neurological trauma’ by creating a fantasy where you two are together.”
Velma set the apple core on the plate and made eye contact with Daphne. “Shaggy isn’t my type, Daph. I don’t like him, he doesn’t like me.”
Daphne pouted a little bit. “You never bring anyone around. You know you could, right? Have you even dated anyone since starting college?”
“No, I haven’t. Just leave it alone.” Velma felt herself on the verge of an anxiety attack. Honestly, she had been teetering on the edge of an anxiety attack since the Gang landed in the future. Everything was so fast and confusing here.
“I don’t understand why you won’t talk about boys with me. I know I’m dating Fred, but I promise I wouldn’t make it awkward or anything. I just want to see you happy and other than that one date sophomore --”
Velma pinched the bridge of her nose under her glasses and stood up, shaking. “Jesus fucking Christ, Daphne. I think I’m gay. Okay? I’m not going to be talking about boys with you.”
“Uh. Oh.” Daphne blinked and fell silent. “Are - are you sure?”
Velma paced around the grass. “Yes.”
There was a long, tense silence that felt like it lasted hours. “That’s... that’s okay.” Daphne cleared her throat. “That’s okay.”
Velma stopped pacing. “...Really?”
Daphne nodded. “Does anyone else know?”
“Shaggy. Just Shaggy. He asked me a while ago and there was a bit of a... lightbulb moment...”
“Is this why you’ve been so distant all year?’
“Yes.”
Daphne patted the step beside her and Velma sat back down. Daphne threw her arm around Velma’s shoulder’s. “We’ve been friends since we were kids. This doesn’t change anything. And I have missed you so much. I thought I did something to make you stop hanging out with me one on one.”
“I didn’t know how to talk to you about this. I certainly didn’t think it would take a trip to the future.”
“You know, I have a gay cousin. I could invite her over when we get back and maybe -”
“Daphne!”
“Okay, okay. You let me know when you’re ready.”

Mind the Deaths (Xavier x Fem!Reader) pt 1
Warnings: swearing, death, verbal abuse, long as fuck to a point where I had to make two parts
You stood in front of your dorm room door of Evermore, your mother by your side. "So this is it? Just this? Dump me and hope for the best?" You asked. "Y/n, we both know-" "That I'm the freak you never asked for? Oh yes mother, you've made your stance PERFECTLY clear." You said, crossing your arms. "Stop saying mother like that." She said. "Like what?" You scoffed. "Like there's going to be another word after it." She huffed.
"This is ridiculous! I don't want to be here. I want to go-" the dorm room door opened. "Hello!" A girl greeted. Her eyes were a piercing blue. "Siren?" You muttered confused. "I'm Nia. You must be my new roommate Y/n." She said. You sighed. "I'm trying to work that out." You muttered. "Yes, she is." Your mother spoke over you. You glared. "Have fun." She said before leaving you. You stood in the hall, watching the staircase hoping this was some sort of sick joke.
Your mother didn't return though. You sighed, dragging your trunk into the room. "Lemme guess. You weren't brought here willingly?" Nia asked. "No. I wasn't." You breathed. "Well, we're all outcasts at Nevermore. I'm a siren. The girls across the hall are Enid and Wednesday, one's a werewolf the other's a sociopath." She said. "I thought everyone had supernatural abilities here?" You asked. "Most of us do. We got one normie teacher but that's really it. Bee kid out in the shed is weird too. Don't think he's got powers. What about you? Do anything?" She asked, sitting on her bed cross legged.
You retreated back, sitting on your bed and putting your head to your knees. "...Okay you don't wanna talk about it! That's cool! That's totally cool! Leaves a mystery!" Nia assured, noticing you seemed sad. "Hey. Why don't I give you a tour? Did your mom already take you on it?" Nia asked. You shook your head. "Oh! Come on then! Let's go, you'll love it here. We're not all gothy freaks like most of Jericho thinks." She said getting up. "Oh but grab a jacket, it gets cold." She said. "I don't have one. I was forced into this, clothes were shoved in. No jackets." You said. Nia looked at you sympathetically. "Oh... well I'm sure we can snag you one from the lost and found." She said.
You followed her downstairs, walking with her. "So of course this is school so cliques are a thing. Sirens are who I kick it with because... duh. I mean, we hang out with others besides sirens. Bianca, the head honcho around here used to date that guy-" she pointed to a normal looking boy on a bench. He had longer hair, pulled back out of his eyes... he was cute. "Course, things have been super tense between them. Messy break up." She said. You knocked shoulders with a girl, your eyes glazing over as you had a vision.
Sound drowned out as you saw her against stone, a knife in her side and blood dripping from her head.
No not here. Not now.
No one knew what happened. Just that you pointed at Wednesday Adaams and let out a blood curdling scream that was almost inhuman. The girl looked at you confused as your finger dropped, your nose bleeding and you fell back, hitting the ground on your ass. Nia gaped and you hyperventilated.
Xavier looked around noticing everyone staring at you. You seemed scared, panicked, upset. Definitely like you wanted to be away from people. He got up, slipping past Nia. "Who's this, your new roommate?" He asked her quietly. "Ye-yeah I don't know what happened. One minute I was on sirens the next she was screaming." Nia said. He turned back to you as you covered your ears, shaking. "I'm getting her out of here." He said before walking over and kneeling to you. "Hey, I'm Xavier... you wanna get out of here?" He asked. You looked up confused, tears falling. "I-I-" you noticed everyone staring. "Y-Yes please" you breathed. He extended his hand but you seemed TERRIFIED of touch.
You slowly got up on your own, following him out. You followed him to a library, him and you sitting in a corner. "You good?" He asked. You shook your head. "That was... a pretty loud scream back there." He said, looking at you. You pulled your legs into your chair, hiding your face in your knees. You shivered from the cold of the air conditioning. "We don't have to talk. I can just draw and you can calm down." He said softly. You nodded and sat there.
It must've been hours that you sat there in that chair. "So have I become an official social outcast?" You asked. He looked up finally. "That? No, you'd have to do a lot worse than that." He assured. You seemed slightly relieved by that statement. You looked down at Xavier's sketchbook seeing a butterfly. "That's really good." You said softly. He smiled. "Want to see something cool?" He asked. You nodded and he reached into the book somehow, pulling out a live version of his drawing. You gaped and he chuckled, the butterfly flying to you. You let it perch on your fingers, smiling as it did.
Something about you automatically had him hooked. "This is beautiful" you said softly. "I do it all the time with birds. Wednesday seems to think it's cool when it's spiders." He said. You cringed slightly at that, the butterfly flying back into the sketchbook. "Not a fan of arachnids?" He asked with a grin. "Definitely not." You said with a small smile. "I think Nia mentioned Wednesday... who is she?" You asked. "The girl you... knocked into." Xavier admitted. You pauses before groaning.
"What was that?" He asked. You sighed. "I'm a banshee." You admitted. He blinked. "What?" He asked. "When someone is about to die and I touch them, I can see how they die. And I involuntarily scream in the process" you added. He frowned. "Woah woah woah. Wait. You saw Wednesday die!?" He asked shocked. "Yeah... Yeah I did." You sighed. "We should probably report that to the headmaster-" "I really do not want to make a report on my first day." You breathed.
He slowly nodded. "Is that why you're here?" He asked. You didn't respond to that question. Just seemed sad. Very sad actually. "Sorry... sorry. Forget I asked." He said. You nodded. You shivered again and he pulled off his jacket, wrapping it around you. You jumped at his touch at first but once you didn't have a vision you seemed more relaxed. "Thanks." You said. "No problem." He shrugged.
Students sat at a table out of view from you. "Dude, did you see that new girl? The fuck was that?" You frowned and Xavier noticed. "I know. God that scream..."
"Wanna see the cool spots around school?" He asked abruptly. You turned back to him before nodding. The two of you got up, him walking behind you. He shot the table of gossipers a dirty look before leaving with you.
You followed him all around campus, him pointing out places where he went to relax. Your particularly favorite one was the dock. You seemed to like the area. "Hey, Xavier?" You asked. "Hm?" He asked. "Thanks for this." You said. He smiled. "No problem." He said. You lookat your watch. "Curfew is about to start. I should go." You realized. You nearly took off his jacket but he stopped you. "Keep it. It looks better on you." He said. You pulled it back on. "Thanks." You said before running off. Xavier had a smile pull to his lips before he left to his dorm.
You closed the door to the dorm and Nia sat up, taking out her ear buds. You jumped looking at her. "I have so many questions right now. The biggest one being 'is that Xavier's jacket?'" She asked. "Uhm... yeah. It is." You said. She gaped at you. "Oh my god. If you date him you're screwed." She said. You looked confused. "Bianca will flip her shit!" She summarized. "I didn't say anything about dating anyone! I just want to lie down and forget this day ever happened." You sighed. "Fine... you're right. Good night." She mumbled. You laid down on your bed, wrapping yourself in your covers.
You didn't know when you fell asleep. Just that you woke up to Nia getting ready. You leaned up and she snorted. "Roommate to roommate, brush your hair." She said tossing you a hairbrush. "Look. I don't care whatever your screamy deal is. I want us to be friends." She said. You slowly nodded. "Thanks... and I didn't mean to start off on the wrong foot I just..." You sighed. "I need ground rules." You said. She nodded. "No touching me without my permission. No pushing me out of my comfort zone and no questioning my abilities. Please." You said. She slowly nodded. "Yeah... okay. Seems... fair. A little confusing but fair." She said.
You nodded. "Oh yeah, Miss Thornhill dropped these off." She handed you a bag. You backed away. "Right. Touching." She sat the bag on the floor. "This doesn't have to do with what I am, right?" She asked. "What? Oh god no! No! It has to do with what I am." You said, picking up the bag. The Nevermore uniform was in the bag, along with a note. "The rest of your things are expected to arrive tomorrow."
So this really was it. Your mom gave up. You sighed, changing into the uniform. You opened the door and there was Wednesday Adaams, her hand up and prepared to knock on the door. "Oh... hello Wednesday." Nia said. "Hello Nia. Leave us please." Wednesday said in her usual monotone voice. "Okay... Y/n, come to me if you need me." She said walking out.
You were uncomfortable. "Why did you point and scream?" She said. You stood there. "Uh... well I... I'm psychic." You said. A half truth. "Funny, I don't think I've ever screamed randomly and pointed at the source of my vision. A half truth won't save you. " Wednesday said. You stared at her before sighing. "I'm a banshee. I see death, I saw yours." You admitted. "...Was it thrilling?" She asked. "More like traumatizing." You breathed.
"Please don't say anything... I don't want to be known as the freaky death kid." You mumbled. "I think I have that title already. What did you see?" She asked. You stared confused. "What?" "What did you see? How did I die?" She asked. "You were stabbed and hit in the head." You answered. "Mm. I always thought I'd die to a guillotine." She said before leaving.
You stood there in silence to process what just happened before finally going to class. Of course all chairs were taken. "Oh there's an open spot with Mister Thorpe." Miss Thornhill said. You looked to see Xavier who was smiling as you sat next to him. You noticed someone staring daggers into you. A girl who was a siren was glaring at you. "I see you kept the jacket." He said. "Well it's cozy." You said with a chuckle before turning to the teacher.
You looked down seeing Xavier's newest drawing of a flower. "Also, let's give a warm welcome to our newest student, Y/n L/n." She said. "Hi Y/n." Everyone said with a monotone voice. Xavier had a smile on his face though, you smiling back. "You don't think newbie is going to try something... do you?" A girl whispered to Bianca. She frowned. "She better not." She said through clenched teeth.
You smiled at something Xavier said, him pulling the flower from the pages and handing it to you. She gritted her teeth. "Hey, question." You said. "Mm?" He hummed. "Who's that girl trying to kill me with looks?" You asked. He slowly turned before sighing. "Bianca."
Right. You remember Nia mentioned her. He looked annoyed by her. "Now, here are your homework sheets, and-" her hand brushed against yours, your eyes glazing over as you had a vision. Xavier frowned watching as you grew still. Wednesday rose a brow.
Another vision, this one hazy. A man in a colonist hat next to her. It was like the scene changed and there she was on the ground covered in bees.
A scream left your lips, papers falling from Miss Thornhill's hands. You jolted back, regaining consciousness, hitting the floor. Xavier kneeled by your side, you covering your ears again. "What the fuck" "that's the second time she's done this." "What is wrong with her?"
Tears fell from your face as Xavier pulled you to his chest. "Xavier... w-would you take m-miss L/n to Weems? Please?" Thornhill asked. He nodded. He guided you up, the two of you leaving. "What just happened?" He asked you quietly as you walked with his arm around you. "She's-She's going to die- Wednesday a-and now this-" you couldn't breathe. It felt awful that your abilites meant death. He hugged you, you sobbing into his chest.
It took a while to calm you down so you could go to Weems. When you did, she was sitting at her desk with a glass of water at the ready. "Hello Miss L/n." She said softly. "Hi..." you breathed. "I've heard you've had... outbursts since you've gotten here..." she said. "Not outbursts... visions..." you corrected. "This is your ability, correct?" She asked. "Yes." You nodded. "Miss Thornhill said you screamed at her... What did you see?" She asked. You inhaled a shaking breath.
"I saw bees. A lot of them... And a man. With a hat and a cane..." you said. "Mm... and of Miss Adaams?" She asked. "I saw her against some sort of stone wall. She had a knife in-in her stomach and-and some sort of gash on her head." You said. Miss Weems leaned back, looking at you.
"I've worked with many creatures. Shapeshifters. Sirens. Even ghosts. I have never seen a banshee." She said. "Neither have most supernatural specialists." You muttered. "You are a rarity indeed. But I have done my reseach. Your visions cannot be stopped. Which is the bad part. The good part? We can get you help. Someone to talk to, to allow you to feel less secluded." She said. You remained quiet. "Would you like that?" She asked. You nodded slowly.
Xavier sat in a chair just outside of Weems' office. "We will begin tomorrow. I'll pull you from class, alright? Try to rest." Weems said walking you out. You nodded before sighing as the door closed. Xavier stood up. "Therapy. She thinks I need therapy." You sighed. He didn't say anything. "I need a break and it's only day two in this hellscape." You breathed. "I know a place." He said.
You followed him through the woods. "Out of all the people so far I thought Wednesday would murder me. Not you." You said. "Wha- what would make you bring that up?" He asked. "Well let's see, I'm following you out in the middle of the secluded woods." You said. He chuckled. "Nah, not killing you." He said before walking over to a shed. "And now I'm in front of a murder barn. Kay. Ted bundy, take me now." You sighed. He pulled a key from his pocket, unlocking it. He opened the doors to reveal a small studio. "It's a... studio." You said. "Not murdery at all." He said with a grin.
You smiled slightly before walking in. He quickly put a sheet over one of the works. "Creepy portrait of a girl?" You asked. "No... something I couldn’t control." He said. "I thought you could control your drawings." You said. "Normally yeah... that thing... no." He said. He sat on a stool at a desk, him patting the table for you to sit.
You sat down, your legs dangling. "Be honest. How many times have you drank paint water by mistake?" You asked. He grinned. "Too many times." He said making you chuckle. "Why'd you bring me here?" You asked. "Dunno. I thought the quiet would be comfortable compared to students around you." He said. You nodded and sighed. "I hate being here... feels like I'm being punished." You said. "I don't think many students are here because they want to be." He said.
"Well... what are you in for?" You asked making him chuckle. "I shot a man in reno." He joked. You laughed and he shook his head with a smile. "No no... truth is, my dad didn't have time to raise me. So he stuck me here so he didn't have to deal." He admitted. "What about you?" He asked. You let out a small chuckle. "I uh... well I started experiencing visions when I was thirteen. It started with the neighbor. Some guy in a grocery store... strangers mostly." You said. "I take it it didn't stay that way?" He asked. "On my fifteenth birthday, my dad put his hand on my shoulder... I saw a vision of him dying... I thought if we caught whatever killed him in time, everything would be fine." You shook your head. "He went through so many treatments. I think that's what killed him... my mom might not say it but she blamed me. That's when she decided to start seeking out whatever I was. I think as proof that I killed him... when she found out what I was and it wasn't my fault she put me in here. I don't think she could stand to look at me." You admitted.
Silence fell over the two of you. "...I looked in the library this morning... I never heard of anyone being a 'banshee'." He said. You frowned.
"They're rare... spirits of death latch onto a young woman and remain until they pass." You admitted. "Sounds fucked up." He said. "It is." You muttered. "Me and mom were able to find only one specialist for them... in Ireland. There's stages..." you breathed. "Stages?" He asked. "First it starts with 'contact visions'. When I touch someone close to death I will see how they die. Then it goes onto powers." You explained. "Like what?" He asked. "What is a sign that a ghost is nearby?" You asked. "Uhh... I'm not entirely brushed up on my ghost hunting education, but I think it's cold spots." He said. You nodded. "I'll make things cold... I'll freeze things... then I'll change..." you breathed. "Change into what?" He asked. You inhaled. "Eyes of silver hair drained of color, I will feel the death of others." You recited. "Where'd you get that?" He asked. "The seer I had to go to said it." You said.
Xavier looked at you. "You've been through a lot." He said. "No kidding. Sounds like both of us have been through the wringer." You said. He chuckled. "Something like it." He nodded. "Hey, Xavier?" "Yeah?" "Why did you help me yesterday?" You asked.
He pondered for a moment. "You reminded me of me." He said. "Helpless freak?" "Scared of themselves." He corrected. You leaned against the wall. "That's one way to put it." You breathed. "I used to be terrified of what I could do. First time I made something move I was terrified." He said. "Why'd you keep going if it scared you?" You asked. He shrugged. "I was a lonely kid. I figured if my drawings could move, I'd be able to create a friend." He said. "... I should've expected an art jam with an artist to get deep." You said. He laughed and a knock landed on the shed door.
"Xavier? Are you in there?" A girl asked. He frowned. "Stay here." He said. He opened the door just wide enough for him to slip out. "What Bianca?" He asked curtly. "You never came back to class after that girl's weird freakout." She said. "Weems said we were free to relax." He said. "We-- Is she in there with you!?" She asked. "Bianca! Seriously, there's nothing going on-" "she is wearing your fucking jacket!" "And even if there was something going on, we're not together anymore! Whatever I decide isn't up to you." He said. She frowned. "She's trouble Xavier." "Funny, you said the same thing about Wednesday too." He said. "SHE WAS IN THE WOODS WITH ROWAN WHEN HE WAS ATTACKED! SHE IS TROUBLE!" She snapped. "Bianca. Butt out." He snapped back. "I am trying to look out for you!" "I DON'T NEED YOU TO." he said sternly. She grit her teeth. "Fine! Do what you want. I will not help when it goes to shit." She huffed before leaving.
You opened the door watching Bianca leave. "She seems... charming." You breathed. "Probably not the smartest move pissing her off either." He said. "Why, what will she do?" You asked. "Probably drown me tomorrow" he said. "What?" You asked. "Oh. The poe cup. We're both captains on seperate teams. We have to canoe across a lake, grab our team flag and then come back first. No rules on the water." "Probably wasn't the best idea pissing her off then. Especially in the water." You said. "Think you'll go?" He asked. "Probably can't since Weems gave me therapy." You said. "Nah, she'll most likely take you in the morning. Root for me?" He asked. "So far you're the only friend I've got. So sure I guess"
The next morning you were woken up by a knock. "That's way too early." Nia whined. You got up, opening the door. Thornhill pulled in trunks. "The rest of your things arrived! Oh and when you're ready, Miss Weems is downstairs ready to take you to your therapy." She said. "...Okay. Thanks." You said with a sigh. Once the door was closed, you opened up the trunks. Your books, cds, music player, everything was there. You now had your clothes back too. Thank god.
Still though, you wore Xavier's hoodie despite it being large on you. It smelled like him and for some reason you couldn't explain, that was nice. You walked downstairs and there was Weems. "Ready to meet Dr. Kinbott?" She asked. You nodded, following her to the car. The ride was mostly quiet. "Have you experienced any other symptoms of the Banshee?" Weems asked. "..No not yet." You said. "...I ask that the next time you have a vision you let me know." She said. "Yes ma'am.." you muttered. "...Will we be back in time for the poe cup?" You asked. "Already getting into the school spirit, hmm?" She asked. "I just... know a friend wants me to be there." You said. "Glad to hear you and Nia are good roommates." She said. Right... Nia...
You walked into the office, looking around. "Hello, you must be Y/n!" She greeted. "Hi" you mumbled. "If you'll follow me I will show you to the room." She said. You followed her to a room with two couches. You sat on one and she sat in front of you. "So. Miss Weems tells me you're a Banshee. I don't think I've heard of that, can you fill me in?" She asked. "We're people with spirits of death permanently attached to our souls. We announce when someone is going to die. It comes through contact visions." You said. "Miss Weems said you had two of these visions already." She said. "Yeah." "Does that scare you?" She asked.
"It scares me that I can't touch people." You said. "What do you mean?" She asked. "Imagine you got stuck with this. Imagine that you can't even hug your parents because you don't want to see the horrible ways they die. Imagine that you can't have a simple handshake, a hug a-a moment where you can actually be against another person." You said. "That does sound awful." She nodded. "Weems also said you've become close with another student though." She said.
You frowned. "What?" "Your roommate?" "...Oh. no not really." "Then it's mister Thorpe." She nodded. "Woah wait. How do you know-" "She pointed out that you were wearing his jacket yesterday when you came to her." She said. You sighed. "Yeah, we're close I guess." You said.
"You don't seem to like talking about your social life, is there something else you want to discuss?" She asked. You sighed. "I don't care! I care about being watched like that. It's weird! I'd rather have Weems know that information because I told her, not because she watches me" you said. She nodded. "...Xavier is nice to me. He said that I reminded him of himself so he helped me. Why he's still hanging around me and pissing off his ex, I don't know." You said.
"His ex is mad?" She asked. "Very. Apparently the possibility of us just being friends has not crossed Bianca's mind." You said. "Seems like you're not a fan either." She said. "Well when she calls me a freak behind my back, I'm not going to be fond." You said. "You're being bullied?" "What else is new?" "You're used to this treatment?" Dr. Kinbott asked. "I scream when I touch people. Duh." You scoffed. "What does your mother tell you?" She asked.
"Ha!" You laughed. "My mother, help me. Didn't take you to be a comedian, doc." You said. "Not close, huh?" She asked. "God no. I think Kennedy and Oswald were closer than we are." You said. "Interesting comparison." She said slowly. "I'll put it to you like this: my mother considered institutionalizing me because she didn't want to put up with me anymore. She doesn't have a fucking bone in her body that wants to be my mother." You said, crossing your arms. "Jot down mommy issues on your clipboard." You breathed.
"I haven't been writing Y/n." She said. "Oh but you will." You breathed. "...Would you like to end your session here?" She asked. "Yes please." You nodded. "Well miss Y/n, it was good to meet you." She said. "Uh-huh." She stuck her hand out for ⁸a handshake. You didn't engage. "Y/n I assure you it's fine." She said. "You don't know that." You said. She dropped her hand. "Okay. No on touching." She said. You nodded.
Weems stood by the car, holding out a to go cup. "...coffee?" "Tea." She said. "Never had a teacher buy me tea before." You said. "It's not often I have a cooperative student." She said. "Well it's this or go home. I'd take a room full of strangers than my mother."
You arrived back at school, walking through the hall to get to your room. "Hey, Y/n wait up." A voice called. You turned to see a girl. "...Who are you?" You asked. "I'm Enid, I live across the hall with Wednesday. Xavier wanted me to to tell you that he's waiting for you by the dock" she said. "Oh. Thank you." You nodded. She ran off and you blinked. "Why the hell was she dressed like a cat?"
You walked outside, seeing someone on the dock. "Hey have you seen-" he turned around and you jumped. "Christ Xavier- what the fuck is on your face?" You gasped. He laughed and you rolled your eyes. "Our team is jesters." He said. "Is that why Enid was a cat?" You asked. "Yeah. Black cats." He nodded. "Huh. This competition is fucking weird." You said. "Yeah. But it's fun" he shrugged.
You felt someone staring and you turned to see Bianca watching you. "Hey Xay?" You said. He rose a brow. "What?" "Be careful. I've got a weird feeling."
You were soon leaning against a tree away from the crowd watching. You were shocked to see Wednesday amongst one of the groups, seeing as many people described her as a loner freak. You felt that stare again. You looked at the boat of sirens, Bianca at the helm. You looked away, looking at Xavier. He gave you a thumbs up and you smiled. "It's weird, he is such a loner but seems to think you're cool." Someone said. You jumped, looking over.
"I'm Ajax." He said, sitting on the grass. "Y/n... why are you here?" You asked. "Dunno. Didn't wanna risk someone knocking my hat off and me turning someone to stone." He said. You blinked. "You're a gorgon?" You asked. "Yeah." He said. "Cool. Had a python named Medusa as a kid." You said sitting down. "I gotta whole swarm of pet snakes on my head." He joked making you laugh.
"You don't seem nearly as freaky as everyone says you are. I was expecting Wednesday 2.0." He said. "No I just have... problems." You said. "Eh. So does most of Nevermore." He shrugged. "I take it the hat thing is also why you're not out there in the boats?" You asked. "Yeah. Or else I'd be right behind my boy Xavier." He said. You smiled slightly as you watched them reach the other side. "Looks like they're about to get the flag."
The hair on the back of your neck stood up, you frowning. "Did you hear something?" You asked. "No, why?" He asked. "...No reason." You said. He shrugged. "I'm uhm... going to the bathroom" you said. He nodded as you walked off.
You could hear whispers. Something guiding you. You walked into the library, ignoring the front desk closed sign. You turned a corner before you thought you saw someone.
You peaked to see but was met with a row of shelves. You sighed, turning to leave when you saw a woman, you jumping. She was translucent, terrifying and you bit back an urge to scream. "Beware of the nearby dangers..." "yeah, someone's murdering people, we know" You breathed. "The answer is in these walls.... in these walls...." the spirit disappeared and the door opened. "Hey! Did you get lost?" Thornhill asked. "No- there was a spirit or something" you said.
You heard yelling outside. "Crap! The competition!" You gasped, running back out. You ran outside, rushing back to the spot you were at before only Xavier was standing there drenched. "Oh geez! What happened?" You asked. "Someone managed to rip a hole in the boat." He said. "...Probably Enid." Ajax said. "Yeaaah that'd do it." Xavier agreed. "Sorry you lost." You said. "Eh. More free time. But I have got to take a shower, that lake is probably not sanitary." He said.
"Cool." You stretched. "Where are you going?" Ajax asked. "My dorm. I've been up since five thirty." You said. "Jesus! Why!?" Ajax asked. "Court mandated therapy." You joked. Xavier chuckled. "Oh god, maybe you are Wednesday 2.0." He said making you laugh. "I'll walk you back" Xavier said.
The two of you trekked back. "I hope you realize your face paint is even creepier halway washed off." You said. "Oh is it? Take a picure it lasts longer." He teased. You rolled your eyes. "So you don't like me with face paint." He noted. "Your face is nice to look at without paint." You said without thinking. He smirked and you flushed pink.
As the days came and went, you found yourself falling into a nice rhythm with Ajax and Xavier. Of course, you and Xavier were closer but Ajax was a nice added bonus as a friend. You of course got nasty stares from Bianca and now for some reason Enid but you ignored them.
You sat on a bench reading when Xavier suddenly sat down next to you. Ajax sat on the ground on your other side. "So, excited for Outreach day?" Ajax asked. "No? Volunteering is one thing but when it's forced it's like community service." You said. "I think Wednesday made nearly that exact comment." He said. "I swear I saw a hand in her backpack the other day." He added. "Whatever you say Jax." You said.
"You do realize outreach day is today, right?" Xavier asked. You looked up. "What-" Thornhill handed you an envelope and you blinked. "Oh no." "Oh yes! It's Outreach day!" She said cheerfully. You groaned, taking the envelope. Both boys took theirs. "What'd you get?" Ajax asked Xavier. "Shady ass antique store. You?" He asked. "Weathervane." "Trade?" Xavier asked. "Yeah." The two swapped envelopes. "Gonna open yours?" Xavier asked. You sighed, opening it and rose a brow. "Looks like we're stuck together. Weathervane." You said. "Mm. Watch out for Tyler. He's a dick," Xavier said. "Who's Tyler?" You asked. "I'll point him out to you." Xavier said.
You all sat on the bus, Enid glaring at you as you sat in between the guys in the back. "Enid, you're not being subtle." You said not looking up from your book. She looked forward and you sighed. "Give me a minute" you said to the boys, getting up. You walked over, kneeling next to Wednesday. "Hey, can I talk to Enid for a minute?" You asked. "Fine." Wednesday said moving. You sat down. "What?" Enid huffed. "The hell is your problem?" You asked. "You sat next to me, freak." She huffed. "You don't know me. You don't like me but you don't know me. Why?" You asked. "Because you insert yourself where you're not needed!" She huffed. "What?" "Why are you always with Ajax!? Do you like him now, is he your favorite for the week?" "Woah woah woah- Stop." You held your hand up.
"I do not like Ajax. He is way too much for my taste. Sweet? Sure. Hyper? Yes! Way too hyper." You said. She paused. "...you don't like Ajax?" "No! God, is having male friends outlawed at this school or something?" You asked. "No I just... sorry." She said. "We good?" You asked. "We're good." She nodded. You got up, returning to your seat. "Everything fine?" Xavier asked. "I don't understand girls at the moment."
You were broken off into your groups, you walking into weathervane. "Welcome to Weathervane, you must be the two lucky volunteers." A boy said. He locked eyes with Xavier. "...That is Tyler." Xavier said. "...Ah." Tyler nodded to him. "Remember me?" Xavier asked sharply. "Look, if this is a problem I can get someone else to train you." "I don't need training." "No but your friend does."
You stood there awkwardly. "...I'm okay Xay." You said to him. "...Be careful." He warned. You were handed aprons and you got changed. Once you came back out, Xavier was standing there with his arms crossed, watching Tyler like a hawk. "Ever work in food industry before?" Tyler asked. "No." You said. "Well you can be a cashier-" "does it involve bodily contact?" You asked. "Occasionally maybe but-" "Then no." You halted. "...I didn't realize you were in a position to demand here." Tyler said with a frown. "Just trust me. I don't need to be making bodily contact with anyone." You said. "She's right." Xavier muttered. "...Okay fine. You'll serve."
You stuck to the counter, making coffee and setting it on tables. You were a natural at it honestly with how quick you were. Xavier was enjoying it more watching you smile towards customers... that smile could light up a room...
Like everything though, the pleasantries stopped when a drunk man got annoyed with you. "Get away you fucking freak" "I'm sorry?" You asked. "Get out of this fucking town, you're all freaks!" He yelled. You looked at Xavier for help. "Y/n, back away" Tyler said.
You took a step back before walking away. While your back was turned though, the man hurled hot coffee at you. You don't know what happened. It was like your nerves turned to ice and suddenly the coffee and the coffee cup were both frozen solid as you held your hands up to block the heat. When the impact never came, you looked up, gaping at what you had done. "Uhhh.... is this why you don't work with bodily contact?" Tyler asked. "SEE! YOU'RE A FREAK! A NORMAL PERSON DOESN'T DO THAT! YOU'RE ALL JUST-" He swung at you and you again blocked with ice without meaning to, an icicle nearly stabbing the man.
You shook, afraid of your new abilities. Tyler got the man out and Xavier tried to put his hand on your shoulder. "DON'T" you breathed. He blinked. "I don't want to hurt you" you said, looking at him concerned. "You uh... you both can take a fifteen." Tyler said. "But-but the ice-" "I got it. Don't worry.... worry about your hand, it's going purple!" Tyler gaped. Xavier looked down. "It looks like it's too cold- do you have a heatpack?" Xavier asked. "In the back on the third row of the shelf next to the door." Tyler nodded.
The two of you sat in the back, him sitting on a wooden crate of coffee while you sat on an actual chair. Xavier touched your hand and you flinched. "It's okay" he said softly. "But what if-" "I'll be okay" he assured. You let him take your hand, him breathing on it to regain heat while the pack was in the microwave. "Has that happened before?" He asked between breaths. "No..." you mumbled. The microwave beeped and he got up, handing you the pack. You held it to your hand.
"I take it this is the ice thing you mentioned?" Xavier asked. "I guess..." you breathed. You seemed terrified. He brushed hair out of your eyes. "It's okay... Teach the normies to stay the fuck away." He teased. You gave an empty half smile. "Talk to me Y/n... what's wrong?" He asked. "I couldn't control what I was doing." You said. "You thought you were in danger." He said. "What if you had tried to stop me? What if I hurt you?" You asked. "You didn't." "But what if I do!?" You asked. He held both of your hands. "I would've forgiven you." He said softly. "Y/n, you don't have to be scared of me not accepting of you. You're probably my favorite person to be around, it'll take a lot to piss me off." He said. You smiled slightly.
"Can I ask you something that might piss you off?" You asked. "Yep." He nodded. "What's the deal with you and Tyler?" You asked. Xavier sucked in a breath. "The... the uhm... the ladt outreach day Tyler found me on my fifteen and he... beat my ass. He and his buddies did." Xavier admitted. You frowned. "That's awful." You said. "It was torture." Xavier said with a far off look. "Should've kicked his ass instead. Just freeze em'." You joked making him laugh. You smiled slightly and sighed. "I should find Weems." You said. "Yeah... she should be out in townsquare." He said. "Come with me?" You asked. He nodded and the two of you walked out.
"Principal Weems." Xavier called. She turned around. "I had a magical outburst." You muttered. She blinked. "What happened?" "I don't know, some drunk guy tried to throw coffee at me, the next thing I know, it's frozen!" You said. "And you dyed a white streak into your hair?" She asked. "What? No wha-" "holy shit there's a white streak." Xavier realized. You moved your hair until you could see the streak in question.
"I-I... Weems, what is happening to me!?" You asked. "I believe you're becoming a banshee." She said. "Why does it hurt- why can't I control this!?" You asked. "Y/n-" "I'm scared!" You yelled. Both Xavier and Weems looked at you surprised. "I don't want to live like this anymore- I can't handle this! I can't!" You said panicked. "Y/n-Y/n calm down... look, we will find you more help, we can-" she put her hand on your arm and your eyes glazed over white.
Bombarded yet again by a vision of death, you saw Principal Weems dead on the floor with something foaming from her mouth. A scream emitted from your lips, Weems pulling back shocked as you hit the ground. You shook, Xavier helping you up. "What... what did you see?" She asked. You looked at her scared. "You... you were foaming at-at the mouth I... I didn't see who or what did that- I..."
Dr. Kinbott walked over, looking at you concerned. "Y/n? I noticed you looked panicked, are you okay?" She asked. You don't know what came over you, you just dropped, not saying anything. Dr. Kinbott looked at Weems confused. "I just want it to stop" you sobbed as Xavier pulled you into a hug.
You were taken in for basically an emergency session, sitting on the couch next to Xavier who refused to leave your side. "So you must be Xavier." Dr. Kinbott said. "Yep." He nodded. "Y/n has mentioned you a few times. You're the only student to make physical contact with her?" She asked. "No. Ajax has." He recalled. "Ah. The one who's a gorgon?" She asked. "Yeah." He nodded looking over.
He didn't consider that you'd talk about him in therapy... it didn't bother him. Just surprised him. You seemed numb. Like you just wouldn't feel anything. Dr. Kinbott seemed to make the same connection. "Y/n.... I know this is hard." She said. "My mom won't look at me." You breathed. "What?" She asked. "Everyone thinks I'm crazy." You added. Xavier looked at you confused. "I nearly got frostbite earlier, from myself, I now am becoming more like a banshee, everytime I think I'm ready to live a normal life, I have another vision- I don't know what to do anymore. I can't do this. I can't." You said with a frown. "I feel so alone, all the time. I can't be near people, I can't-can't do normal things- I just want to be a kid." You said.
Dr. Kinbott gave a sympathetic look. "Y/n you've been increasingly anxious as of late... Do you think if we started you on something-" "You seriously think anxiety medication is going to stop making me have visions!?" You asked. "No... I think it'll make you not shake as much as you are right now." She said softly. Your leg had been bouncing the entire time and you hadn't realized. You stopped moving, sighing. "Y/n, it's just something I want to discuss." She said.
You got up, walking to the bathroom and closing the door. Xavier sighed looking at her. "She's going through something right now..." he muttered. "Any idea what it may be?" She asked. "Parents week is coming up... she mentioned last week she didn't think her mom was coming." Xavier said. Dr. Kinbott looked at the bathroom door.
You sat on the floor, legs pulled to your face. You just wanted the world to stop... just for five minutes. Right now that's all you wanted. "Y/n..." a voice called. "Not now Dr. Kinbott." You said. "Y/n....." it called again. "I said-" you looked up and you weren't in the therapy office. You were in the woods.... no... not the woods. Something similar to the woods.
The sky was a deep crimson, no moon in sight yet everything seemed partially illuminated. You stood up, confused. "Dr. Kinbott? Xavier?" You called. "Y/nnnn.." a voice called. You turned around confused. There wasn't anyone near you. "Hello?" You called out. "Y/n..." the voice called. You followed it, slowly creeping. Finally you found a pond, black as night. You saw your reflection in the water, kneeling to it.
"Y/n has been in the bathroom for a while..." Xavier noticed. "I hope this wasn't like Wednesday's appointment." Dr. Kinbott muttered. "Y/n isn't much of a runner." Xavier said. Dr. Kinbott looked at him, slightly surprised. "New student climbs out second story window instead of sitting through therapy tends to make rifts." Xavier said. She shrugged.
You noticed something glowing in the water, you reaching out. A hand shot out, beginning to strangle you. You clenched the ground that now seemed to be the porcelain sink in the bathroom. The hand still seemed to be choking you from water in the sink that wasn't there before.
"Okay this is taking too long." Xavier walked over to the bathroom door. "Y/n? You okay?" He asked. He heard something, almost like a struggle and he frowned. He jiggled the nob, the door of course being locked. "I'll get the key-" Xavier kicked open the door seeing you being choked over the sink. "Y/n!" He gasped before yanking you backward.
You fell to the ground, coughing and clutching your throat. Dr. Kinbott ran over, kneeling to you. "Y/n, what happened!? Are you alright?" She asked. "Is it gone?" You asked. "Is what gone?" She asked. "The-the hand in-in the sink!" You pointed. She stood up, looking at the sink. She saw the remnants of black water going down the drain. "No. No it's gone." She said before turning back to you. "Y/n..." "I'll try the medication" you said looking at her. She looked at you and then the sink. She nodded.
You soon were under a tree outside, sitting next Xavier as the band set up, students sitting down. You were wet from the sink, unsure of what happened. "You don't think somehow Bianca did-" "If she did, she had to have some serious power to do what she did." You said. "I doubt that requires that much to make a hand come out of a sink." Xavier said as the band began to play. "No but transporting them to a different area entirely and then putting them back does." You said. He blinked. "What?"
"What I saw... I wasn't in this world. There's no way that was this world. Where I was was somewhere else entirely." You explained. "So what can do that?" He asked. "I don't know. But I'm going to find out." You declared. You frowned. "Do you smell that?" You asked. "Smell what?" He asked. "It's gas-" just as you said something, a trail of fire formed, you and Xavier jumping up as the newly unveiled statue of Crackstone was lit on fire.
You and Xavier gaped, watching it burn. "How is this day literally just WENT UP IN FLAMES!?" You asked. Students and citizens all began running, chaos forming around you. You hadn't been at Nevermore long but you had been there long enough to know that the girl still playing the cello in the chaos was responsible.
Xavier grabbed your hand. "We have to get to the bus." He said. "But Wednesday is-" "Weems can get her, we have to go!" He ushered. You nodded, following him through the crowd. Ajax ran over, Enid holding his hand. "Where we going?" He asked. "Bus." Xavier said. Someone bumped into your shoulder, you stopping as your eyes glazed over white. Xavier frowned. "No no no no- not now" he said panicked. Enid blinked. "What's happening!?" She asked.
You saw a car, unsure of who was at the wheel. Whoever you had run into had been run over. The vision continued, his life support being tampered with until a flatline occurred. That revealed the man's identity to be the mayor's.
You let out a scream, no one paying any mind considering the chaos seemed to elicit many screams. Enid looked terrified but Ajax didn't hesitate to lift you onto his back. "Get to the bus!" He yelled.
When you returned, you were on the bus in the back with Enid, Xavier and Ajax all looking at you. "Are you okay?" Ajax asked. You nodded. "Long day... long LONG day." You breathed. "What the hell was that!?" Enid asked. The boys looked at you. Nia ran over. "Y/n, someone said you had to stop work because you froze something, are you okay?" She asked. "I'm okay..." you nodded. "You screamed at Weems." Bianca said behind her. Xavier sighed. "You what?" Nia asked. She squinted. "Why is your hair turning white?" She asked. "I don't know." You admitted. "Is that your thing? Ice?" She asked. "No-" "Like she's going to tell you. She's a freak Nia." "Shut up Bianca." Xavier snapped. "Oh now you say something!" Bianca said with an eye roll.
"Bianca you don't know anything about the situation so just stop." Ajax halted. "This is ridiculous- she screams at people! What about that screams magic creature-" "I'm a banshee!" You yelled, everyone on the bus staring at you. "You're a what?" Enid asked. "I'm a banshee. When I touch people close to death, I have a vision of how they die. I scream. That's why I screamed." You said.
"...Wait so Wednesday is going to die?" Enid asked shocked. You looked at her. "I-" "and Weems!?" Nia asked. "Did you curse them?" "No! I-" "Oh god, Thornhill!?"
"EVERYONE SHUT UP!" Ajax yelled. You looked at him surprised. "Look, she's weird. We know. We all know. But she's my friend damn it. And I don't appreciate my friend being attacked. So everybody sit down shut the fuck up and look ahead? Piss me off again and the hat comes off. I doubt you want to meet my snakes. Okay? Okay!" He yelled. Everyone turned back, looking at each other. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"Uh... yeah. Thanks Jax." You said. "...am I allowed to ask questions?" Enid asked. "Not... right now... Maybe later though? I do live across the hall." You said. She nodded. "Okay. Later's good... later..." she said distracted.
Xavier looked at you. "Who was the last one?" He whispered. You looked at him. "The mayor." You said. He frowned. "Geez..." "He was murdered." You breathed. He opened his mouth "Let's talk about something else." You said. He nodded. "Yeah okay..." he breathed. "I'm sorry I dragged you to my emergency therapy appointment." You said. "Well I guess now we're both stuck with Dr. Kinbott. She requested to see me Thursday for a personal appointment." He said. "Oh god... she got us both? Damn..." you said making him chuckle. "It's fine." He assured. "Hey Xavier?" "Yeah?" "Thanks for helping me through... everything." You said. He wrapped an arm around you. "That's what friends are for." He said with a smile.
The next few days you had been put on an anxiety medication. Your anxiety wasn't cured, no. However, it certainly wasn't as bad. Nia and Enid though, had become two friends you didn't expect. Often times when Wednesday was annoyed with Enid, she'd go to your room and hang around with the two of you. Which is what was happening now.
"So, thought about who you're going to the Rave'N with?" Enid asked Nia. "I'm thinking of asking Yoko." She admitted. "You two would be cute together." You said, eating an oreo. "What about you? Didn't Ajax stand you up?" Nia asked. You dropped the cookie. "He did what!?" You gaped. "He... we were supposed to meet up and he never showed." She admitted. "I'm gonna kill him!" You said. "No! No. It's fine! I'll figure something out." She said. "We could go together! Make a statement." You suggested. "Please. Like Xavier won't ask you." Nia laughed.
"What? Why would he-" "oh don't do that." Enid said. "Do what!?" You asked. "Act like you don't know!" She said. "Know what!?" You asked. "...I'm beginning to think she actually doesn't know." Nia said. "Know what- guys this is getting weird." You said. "...Holy shit, she doesn't know" Enid realized. "Oh my god! Know what!?" You asked. "Xavier likes you!" Both girls said in unison. You stared at them.
And then laughed. "HA! Okay! Sure! Xavier totally likes me!" You laughed. "He does- girl it is so obvious." Nia said. "Suuurreee!" You laughed harder. "I'm serious! Y'know what, let's go!" She got up. "Go where?" Enid asked. "To his room! He's downstairs, let's go." She ushered. "This is ridiculous! He does not like me!" You said. "Y/n come on." Nia said. You sighed following her and Enid downstairs.
Nia was about to knock but right before she did, Xavier opened the door. "Uhh... hi there?" He said confused. "Hi, Y/n wants to talk to you." Nia said. "I do not! I am fine, you two are just being ridiculous!" You said. "No we're not! Talk!" Enid said. "I was going to the studio... do you want to talk there?" He asked. "If it means getting away from them, please!" You said.
The two of you walked off, leaving Enid and Nia in the hall. "Now... Hopefully they date." Nia said. "...I dunno... She seriously didn't realize he liked her... do you think she feels the same?" Enid asked. "I can't explain how I know... I just do." Nia said. "One thing's for sure though" she sighed. "What?" Enid asked. "Bianca is going to be pissed."
"So what was it you wanted to talk about?" Xavier asked. "Oh, nothing it's stupid." You said. He shrugged. "How stupid?" He asked. "They're insisting that you have a crush on me. Which is crazy right?" You asked. He stopped walking. You looked at him. "Xay? It's crazy... right?" You asked. He swallowed hard. "Sure. It's crazy." He said after a while. He walked ahead of you, seeming upset.
Even when you two were in the studio he seemed upset. All the rest of that week he seemed distant. "I don't know what his deal is, it's like he's mad." You sighed. "Well, what did you say?" Enid asked, sitting on the foot of your bed as you paced. Nia was on the floor reading. "I said 'my friends think you like me. Crazy right?'" You said. Nia looked up. "He didn't say anything and I asked him if it was crazy and he just seemed upset!" You sighed.
Nia facepalmed. "Oh you sweet stupid girl" she sighed. "What?" You asked. "You unintentionally rejected him." She said. "How!?" "You made it seem impossible. Like there was no way you'd like him that way. You accidentally put up a wall." Nia said. You frowned. "I... how do I fix it?" You asked. "Talk to him? Like actually?" Enid said. "Well there's no way to do that now. He's going to the dance with Bianca." You sighed. "He's WHAT!?" both girls asked. "Apparently Wednesday asked him, turns out she suspects him of murder which is a whole other reason he's upset so now he's going with Bianca." "Oh god, two girls rejected him?" Nia winced. "I didn't mean to!" You whined. "But you did! And the dance is the day after tomorrow!" "Well forget that stupid dance! I'm not going." You sighed. "What?" Nia asked.
"He is the only person I'd feel comfortable going with. Since he's with Bianca... I'm not going. I don't want to." You said. "You shouldn't let him ruin a good time Y/n." Enid said. "I don't want to go okay!?" You snapped.
You now shared a gloomy mood. And as the days crept to that stupid dance, you were in an even worse mood. Nia was getting ready for the dance and you were wrapped in a blanket, looking at the wall. "Y/n... if you change your mind, Enid put a dress in your closet for you. You can borrow any of my shoes." She said. You didn't move. "...I hope you feel better..." she said. "Me too." You mumbled. Nia walked out and you leaned up, wiping your eyes. You liked Xavier and you didn't realize it until you accidentally lost him. He was the one person who could touch you and you wouldn't be afraid. You were touch starved and scared.
A knock landed on the door. "Nia, if you need your lipgloss alread-" you opened it to see Bianca. "...Bianca." you said. "I'm supposed to go to the dance with Xavier." She said. "...You came here to gloat?" You asked. "No. I came here to fix this." She said. "He's been miserable without you. I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until he asked me to make him forget you." She said. Shock went through you. "Why-why would he-" "Because he's in pain. He wants you, he needs you. I..." she sighed. "I am not who he needs you are. So get dressed. You're his date." She said. "I..." "I will siren song your ass downstairs-" "I don't know how to do my hair... or make up... or... anything really." You muttered.
Bianca blinked. "...Oh? That's it? I'll help." She sighed. You got dressed, being impressed with Enid's skill for knowing your dress size. It was silver and sparkly, hanging from your shoulders. Bianca handed you a pair of shoes and you put them on as Bianca pinned your hair back.
Xavier sighed. Three girls now. Three rejections. Bianca wasn't here. Ajax sat down. "You look thrilled." He said sarcastically. "Bianca stood me up." He said. "You went with Bianca? I thought you wanted to go with-" "Yeah well she thinks the possibility of us is crazy." Xavier sighed. "Did she outwardly say no?" Ajax asked. "..I mean no but the way she said it was like it was just impossible to her-" "Dude two weeks ago she told everyone what she was. To her it is impossible to have someone like you like her." Ajax said. "...Oh." Xavier realized. "Yeah! So you just fucked yourself over." Ajax said. "...I'm realizing that now." He sighed.
Ajax looked over. "Bianca didn't stand you up... Uhhh" Ajax paused staring at who was with her. Xavier leaned off his hand looking at you as Bianca guided you through the people to Xavier. "I might not like her very much but she's right for you Xavier. Have fun." She said before walking over to the other sirens.
Xavier stood up looking at you shocked. "Y/n you look..." you looked at Ajax. "Before I admit something, I have something I have to do and it's girlcode." You halted him. Xavier nodded. "You fucking moron!" You yelled at Ajax, smacking his shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?" "For standing Enid up! Idiot, why would you-" "I stoned myself!" He admitted. You blinked. "What?" "I took a shower, looked in the mirror and accidentally stoned myself." He admitted. You frowned. "Why didn't you tell her that!?" You asked. "I was too embarrassed?" He said. "Jax... you idiot. Just talk to her." You said. He nodded. "Okay. Talk to him though. He's been mopey too" he said walking away.
You turned back to Xavier. "I-" "Do you want to dance?" He asked. You blinked. "Uh... sure." You nodded. He took your hand, the two of you going onto the dance floor as a slow song started. "You haven't talked to me all week" you said. "I... I was..." he sighed. "I like you Y/n... a lot. I just... when you said it was crazy, I thought that I had been obvious enough" "Xavier" "that you were rejecting me and it just made me" "Xavier" "upset and I don't want to lose you so if you don't feel the same way you-" you kissed him, him ceasing movement. He cradled your face, looking into your eyes when you pulled away. "I do like you... I'm just not used to liking anyone... I didn't realize how much I liked you until I lost you and... I don't want to lose you again Xavier I need you in my life." You said softly.
Xavier smiled, kissing you again, this time swaying to the beat. When he pulled away again, you looked behind him. "Holy crap." You said. He looked over to see Wednesday. "Huh." And then Tyler. "...Holy crap." Both of you said in unison. He rolled his eyes. "We're not letting that moron ruin tonight." He said. You grinned. "Judging by how this dance started, I don't think he can." You said making Xavier smile. He kissed you again, you grinning again. "I can get used to this." You said.
The song faded out, a faster song playing. You and Xavier danced (not well) but you noticed Wednesday certainly getting into the spirit of the dance. "...Wow." you watched. "I did not expect that from Wednesday." Xavier admitted. "Yeahhh, neither did I." You said before the two of you looked at each other. You both laughed before dancing again.
You had fun with Xavier, you not letting go of each other for the night. Nia and Yoko both ended up hanging out with the two of you. "Hey, where's Bianca?" You asked. "Oh, I think she's in there" Yoko pointed. "I'm going to check on her." You said. Xavier nodded, kissing your forehead before you walked into the room she was in as Wednesday left. "Hey." You said. She looked over. "Gloating?" She asked.
"No... no just making sure you're okay." You said. She blinked. "I was horrible to you. I was a jerk and you're making sure I'm okay?" She asked. You shrugged, sitting down. "Didn't you hear? I'm applying for sainthood." You joked. She chuckled slightly but sighed. "You got him. You win, go back out there." She said. You frowned. "Xavier isn't a prize Bianca, he's a person." You said. She looked over. "Plus. I can't break girl code." You said. "And that is?" Bianca asked. You got up, extending a hand to her. "No woman left behind." You said to her.
When you came back, Bianca was with you. Xavier was uncomfortable at first until you and her started cracking jokes. And Bianca laughed. Genuinely laughed. Your group had a blast together, taking pictures, dancing, trying the strange "yeti-tini". Finally the last song played, you and Xavier dancing together with smiles. "So it's settled then, I'm your girlfriend?" You asked. "Well, I would hope so. I don't kiss for free here!" He said making you laugh. You felt something drop on your shoulder. Then you noticed red on Xavier's shoulder. You pulled away, noticing the sprinkler system going off with a red liquid coming through.
Everyone soon began freaking out, reaching the conclusion that it was blood. You stayed still, seeing people slip and fall. "We should probably get out of here" Xavier said. "I'm trying to figure out a safe way to exit." You said looking around. "Have either of you seen Wednesday!?" Tyler asked. "I thought she was with you?" You said confused. "No- she took off!" He said before running off. You looked up at the sprinkler.
"We should--" "Bianca!" You called. She looked over from under a jacket. "What?" "Hit me." You said. "What!?" Bianca and Xavier asked in unison. "Just trust me. Hit me." You said. Bianca punched you. "Harder." You said. "Y/n, I don't know. We just became cool and-" "Beyoncé is overrated." She swiftly hit you, ice shooting from your hand. Your nerves were cool enough now...
You froze the sprinkers over, making it slightly better. "...Wow." Bianca gaped. "Cool, right?" You asked with a smirk. "...That was such a dumb pun." Xavier snorted. "Don't give her the cold shoulder." Bianca teased making you laugh. Xavier looked ready to leave you. "Oh come on! Xavier, don't ice me out."
Xavier walked you back to your room, you chuckling as you reached the door. "That was some dance." You said. "I'll say. Blood, yetis and dancing... if next year is like that I'll join the damn committee." He said making you laugh. You kissed him, smiling against him before both of your phones went off. You pulled away, looking down to see a lockdown alert. "...What the hell?" You muttered.
Xavier looked up from his phone. "I don't know how I feel about you alone." He said. "I have Nia." "Nia is with Yoko." He corrected. "Oh..." you said. "I'm sure I'll be okay... I mean, we're in the school." You assured. "If you change your mind, you know I'm downstairs" he said softly. You nodded before heading into your room. You took a shower, changing before lying down.
You closed your eyes, sure you were going to be fine. You felt a change though. You weren't warm anymore. You felt cold and like you were lying on something hard. You opened your eyes, realizing you were back in the forest. You leaned up, looking around you. There weren't any voices it was just the forest.
You noticed a light in the distance, moving slowly. Then another. And another after. You walked towards it, the shapes forming into people carrying lanterns. They were walking into the lake, hands reaching from the waters and pulling them under. It was unsettling to see...
As you got closer you recognized one of the faces... "Dad?" You breathed. He looked over, a distant look in his eyes. He simply turned back before walking into the lake. "DAD!" you screamed.
You woke up with a gasp, leaning off your bed. You had only slept an hour and after that experience, you didn't want to be alone. You threw on Xavier's hoodie walking downstairs to his door. You knocked and he opened the door with a yawn before looking at you. "Y/n? Are you alright?" He whispered. You hugged him and he held you confused for a moment before pulling you inside. He closed the door. "What happened?"
When you explained the dream, Xavier was at a loss for words. "I don't know why I keep going back to the forest. Or why there's water that grabs people." You breathed. "Is that what tried to kill you in Dr. Kinbott's office?" He asked. You nodded. "This getting weirder..." he muttered. "I know..." You sighed. "What do you think it means?" He asked. "I don't know." You said. "Should we go to Weems?" He asked. "I don't know." You said. He looked at you. "...Are you alright?" He asked. You sat next to him, putting your head on his shoulder. "I don't know."
Xavier didn't want you to be alone after that. He suggested that he sleep in your room so he could use the extra bed but you said you had no problem sleeping with him. This led to both of you facing away from each other, unsure of what to do. Do you cuddle? Do you not cuddle? What... what do you do!?
Xavier noticed you picking at the hair tie you wore on your wrist, recognizing it as a nervous habit. So he made the first move. He rolled over, putting an arm over you. You stopped picking at the hair tie, staying still for just a moment. You rolled over, looking at Xavier before laying your head on his chest. He pressed a kiss to your head, watching you fall asleep.
When the morning came, you woke up to Xavier sound asleep, you smiling softly at his face. His hair was of course, a slight mess but it was adorable to you. He slowly opened his eyes and smiled. "Morning" he greeted. "Morning" you said back. He kissed you, you smiling. "It'd be nice if we woke up like this every morning." You said. "I know... We're just lucky that I don't have a roommate." He said. "Did you always live alone? You asked. "No, I did have a roommate. Rowan. Cool guy... up until he snapped.." Xavier said.
"He snapped?" You asked. "He started acting really weird. Stole something from... me. And then flung me against the wall when I confronted him." He said. You noticed the hesitation talking about the theft. He then looked at you and had some sort of realization. "You became friends with Bianca last night." He said. "Does that... bother you?" You asked. "No! It just means something, come on." He said getting up. "Wha- Xavier it's like nine on a Saturday!" You whined. "Trust me, you'll love it, come on!" He ushered. You got up with a groan. "Are we changing or going in our pjs here?" You asked. "...Valid point. Get dressed and I'll pick you up from your room." He said.
You were confused on what had him acting like this but you went to your room. Nia and Enid were laughing as you entered. "You're back! How was the first night with the boyfriend?" Enid asked. "He's acting... weird?" You admitted as you walked into the closet. "He's upset?" "No he's acting really excited about something." You said. "And that's weird?" Enid asked. "Well he's not telling me why he's suddenly excited that I'm friends with Bianca." You said, getting dressed. Nia seemed to have the same realization. "You are friends with Bianca!" She gasped. "Enid I have to go I'm sorry!" She said before getting up.
You were being dragged out the door, confusing you further. "Are you asking about the thing?" Nia asked. "Planned on it, you in?" Xavier asked. "Uhm, duh!" She said. "Is Bianca in her room?" He asked. "No she's having breakfast with the rest of them." Nia said. "Let's go."
You were now being dragged to the cafeteria, you groaning as the two excited friends ushered you over to Bianca's table. She looked over at you, raising her brow. "What's going on?" She asked. "She should join us." Xavier said. Ajax looked up. "...That's brilliant." He agreed. "It kind of is." Yoko said. "Yeah, that actually isn't a bad idea." Bianca agreed. "Wait wait wait- join what?" You asked. Everyone exchanged looks. "Come on." Bianca said getting up. "More walking? Come onnnn!" You whined.
Xavier snorted as Bianca took your hand, walking you through the halls until you ended up a statue. "...What are we doing here?" You asked. Everyone looked around. "We're good." Ajax whispered. "Snap twice." Xavier said to you. You blinked. "What?" "Snap twice." He repeated. "...Okay, what is going on?" "We'll explain once you do." He said, standing behind you with both hands on your shoulders. You sighed before snapping twice.
The statue moved, you jumping slightly. You looked up at Xavier shocked and he grinned. You followed the group down the stairs, standing in a library. "Woah." You gaped. Bianca walked in after making sure the entrance was closed. "Welcome to the Nightshades." She said. "The what?" You asked. "It's a group. A secret society founded years ago. It used to be a really big deal until a normie died and then it was reduced down to what we do now." Bianca explained. "Which is?" "Parties, clubs, the occasional skinny dip." Yoko said. "We want you to join us." Bianca said.
You looked at everyone. "I don't skinny dip. But fine." You shrugged. "Well, neither does your boyfriend." Divina shrugged. You laughed, Xavier smiling. "So I'm in a secret society that has it's own library. I'm living the dream." You said making Bianca chuckle. "Just don't take any of the books, they're really fucking old. But reading them in here isn't off limits." She said. "Oh no." Xavier breathed. "Oh no? Why's that oh no?" Yoko asked. You seemed to bounce in place with a massive smile. "BOOOOOKKKS!" You shrieked, running to the shelves. "I wanna read this one-no that one. Maybe both!" You said making Ajax snort. "She's read almost the whole library." He said. "She's very excited about books." Xavier said. "BEST. DAY. EVER."
It took Yoko, Ajax and Xavier to pry you away from the shelves after three hours. Bianca bended the rules for you, allowing you to take ONE book at a time. "She never does that, so you have seriously gotten on her good side." Xavier said as you read while walking. "What are you reading?" Ajax asked. "Unpublished Edgar Allen Poe poems." You said walking. As you all entered the quad, both boys stopped in their tracks. "Shit." "I completely forgot." You looked up confused on what had alarmed them. Then you saw the banners.
"Parents Weekend."
You frowned. "Oh god. Why?" You asked. "Well I know my dad isn't coming but-" "My parents are." Ajax whined. "Do you not like your parents?" You asked. "Oh no they're great! It's just they're a little... too nice? Like they ALWAYS wanna help and they overdo it." He said. You nodded. "Think your mom's coming?" Xavier asked. You let out a laugh. "Funny Xay. Hilarious actually." You said. "Well we can bond over our no show parents-" "Y/n?" A woman called.
You turned, shocked. Xavier looked with you. "Grandmama." You breathed. There was an older woman with faded red hair, smiling at you. You handed Ajax your book before sprinting into her arms. "You came back from England! How was it?" You asked. "Beautiful, I think you'll love it!" She said. "Like I'd ever get to go." You laughed. "You are. This summer" she said. You blinked. "What?" "Your mother gave me the go-ahead last night." She declared. You grinned, hugging her again.
Your grandmother noticed the two boys looking confused. "Introduce me to your friends?" She asked. You pulled away. "Right. Grandmama, this is Ajax. He's like a brother to me. And this is Xavier my... boyfriend." You said. She grinned. "My my, you certainly have thrived here." She said. Xavier greeted her with a handshake. "A pleasure to meet you ma'am." He said. "Polite too..." she said. "I'm Katherine. No need for a Mrs. I'm old but not ancient." She said.
"What are you doing here?" You asked. "Well Lindsay couldn't be bothered to come, as you of course know. So I came instead. Plus, your principal wanted to speak to me about something." She said. You nodded. "Well I'm happy to have you here Grandmama." You said. She smiled. "I see mom. See ya Y/n." Ajax groaned. "Well... I guess I'll leave you to it." Xavier said. "Oh nonsense! I'd love to meet the boy that likes my grandchild." She said. "Let's sit down, my legs are tired from the stairs." You said.
You sat in the quad, watching all the families around you. "So, I understand most children at this school have some sort of powers." She started. "Yeah." He nodded. "Do you have any abilities?" She asked. "Oh, I can make my art come alive. Though lately I've been having... visions." He admitted. "You have?" You asked. He nodded. "About that thing out there." He said. "Thing?" Your Grandmama asked. "There's a monster out around town... recently attacked a student last night." You said. "Oh my... you are being careful, aren't you?" She asked. "Yeah... I got my powers." You said. "The ice came?" She asked. "Yeah. Froze a coffee cup" You shrugged. "A.. huh. Well then." She shrugged. "Can you control it though?" She asked. "Not quite. It's like a defense mechanism." You admitted.
"Mm. Power without control is dangerous." She said. "I know." You mumbled. "We'll find a way for you to learn." She assured. She saw Principal Weems and stood up. "I will be back in a few hours, have fun." She said before leaving.
"She's nice." Xavier said. "The one family member I can stand to be around." You breathed. You looked around at the families and sighed. "Want to get out of here? The whole happy family dynamic is beginning to get on my nerves." Xavier said. You nodded. "I'll get my book back from Ajax."
You found yourself in the studio again, sitting on the desk reading while Xavier drew. Even though you didn't speak, there was something comforting in the silence.
He looked over as a strand of hair fell just by your cheek, him moving it. You looked up with a smile, Xavier smiling back. He kissed you, you grinning as you closed your book, moving closer to him. "Have I mentioned how lucky I am to have you?" You asked. He grinned. "You're lucky? I feel like I'm the lucky one..." he said making you smile. "Y'know we are dating..." he said. "Really... shocker." You said making him chuckle. "And we're quite friendly with each other... and we're allllll alone here." He said. You blinked. "We could-" "I'm not ready!" You halted. He stared at you. "I just learned how to trust certain people, I don't think I can handle-" "I was going to suggest making out." He said.
"Oh.... Oh uhm..." you flushed red. "...Y/n it's okay that you're not ready. We don't need to do anything you're not comfortable with." He assured. You nodded slowly. "...Now about making out, that I'm definitely ready for." You said making him laugh. He kissed you, you grinning. You eventually parted for air, smiling as you bit your lip. He leaned back in, your body sinking into his as your arms rested on his shoulders. He cradled your face as if it was the most precious thing to him. He smiled, resting his forehead on yours. He kissed your forehead and pulled away slightly before noticing more of your hair had turned white.
"What's wrong?" You asked. "Nothing. Your hair is just more... white." He said. You blinked, pulling out the camera on your phone. "Oh god" you breathed. "It's not that bad!" He said. "Xavier my hair is turning white! I look like Lady gaga!" You said. "Y/n, really. You look good, I promise." He said. "You're my boyfriend, it's your job to say things like that!" You groaned, getting up. You sighed. "I have to talk to Grandmama. She's the only one who'd know what to do." You said. "Is she an expert on banshees?" He asked. "Something like that." You sighed.
You opened the door to the studio, jumping as you saw Weems with your grandmother. "Oh! Good, you were here." Weems said. Your grandmother leaned forward noticing your hair as Xavier slipped through the door, locking the studio back. "Your hair is whiter." She noticed. "I know. I wanted to talk to you-" "We've come up with a solution. Your fencing course is going to be dropped for a more... hands on approach to your abilities." Weems said. "And that is?" "I'm going to teach you." Your Grandmother said.
You blinked, confused. "But...you're not a banshee. How am I supposed to learn-" "Because I know what there is to know about this. It is me, or nothing." She said. You slowly nodded. "Okay then." You said. "So you're my teacher. That must mean you're staying in Jericho?" You asked. "Thought you were getting rid of me after the weekend hm?" She teased. "No, I'm glad you're staying." You assured. "Come. I want a tour. And I must get to know your boyfriend." Your grandmother said. "Boyfriend? Hm." Weems took note in her words.
Xavier followed you both, eventually you sitting in the quad surrounded by the other families. He seemed surprised to see Bianca with her arms crossed at a table with her mother. "So, Xavier will we get to meet your parents?" Your grandmother asked. Xavier chuckled. "Uhm. No, my dad never comes to this and my mother passed away when I was three." He said. She frowned. "Oh- Oh Xavier I'm sorry." She said. "It's nothing Miss-" "Ah." He chuckled. "It's nothing Katherine." He said. You smiled slightly.
"Oh! Food. I'll get us plates." She said, leaving you with Xavier. "Sorry about..." "she's curious, it's no problem. I'm used to answering these questions." He said. You looked around. "Looks like Wednesday's parents are here." You noticed. "I'm beginning to understand why she's... her." He said. You turned to him. "Is she still accusing you?" You asked. "Yeah. It doesn't help that you're my alibi. She thinks you're in on it." He sighed. "She what?" You asked. "She thinks that you're covering for my absences in the moments that count." He said. "I swear, she's ridiculous!" You sighed. "I know." He muttered. You held his hands. "She's not getting to you is she?" You asked. "No. I just don't like that she's dragging you into this." He said. You pressed a kiss to his knuckles and he smiled slightly, putting a hand to your cheek.
"I got us some wings. Looks like it's a party after all." Your grandmother said. You smiled looking at her. You began eating, Xavier going to Ajax's table to say hello to his family. "Listen, Y/n. About your mother..." "she couldn't be bothered to show up." You reminded her of her words. "She called while I was with Weems." She said. "And?" "Well sh-" "Y/n?"
You looked up, seeing your mother. You dropped your food and frowned. You didn't move. "Mother." You breathed. "I've missed you." She said. "Yes, the letters you've sent made that crystal clear." You scoffed, crossing your arms. She opened her mouth and you got up. "I don't want to hear it." You said. "Y/n I just want to talk. Weems thought-" "Oh, Weems thought? Great. Let me see what she has to say." You scoffed, getting up. "Y/n, please sit down." "And do what? Pretend we're a happy family!? Act like you didn't abandon me!?" You asked. People began turning their heads. "You tried to change me!" You snapped. "I just thought-" "I don't want to hear it!" You yelled before walking away.
Xavier frowned. "It was nice seeing you all but I should really check on Y/n." He said to Ajax's family. He followed after you, unsure where you had gone. You weren't in your room, you hadn't gone to the library... at least... not the visible library. The thought occured to him that you might've gone to a place with limited access, him going to the poe statue. He snapped his fingers, sure to make sure the entrance was sealed once he entered. He found you, sitting with your legs crossed.
"You saw the fight?" You mumbled, wiping your eyes. "Yeah... bits of it." He said, walking over to you. He slid down to the floor sitting next to you. "It was four months after dad died. I wasn't saying much... I began avoiding people. Mother convinced me to go with her on a trip." You said. He listened, confused. "She forced me through an exorcism." You told him.
Your words hung in the air. Xavier looked at you shocked. "She hoped by doing so, the spirit of death would separate from the soul." You explained. You closed your eyes, Xavier wrapping his arms around you. "That's horrible." He said. "I don't want her here." You mumbled. "I know." He said softly.
Ajax walked down the stairs. "Hey. Came to check on you." He said. You leaned off Xavier's shoulder, looking at him. "Can you stay with her? I have to do something." Xavier said. "Okay." Ajax nodded, sitting next to you. Xavier kissed your head before leaving you. "You don't have to explain anything." He said. You leaned your head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around you. "Thanks Jax." You mumbled. "Anything for my friend." He said.
Xavier walked out to the quad, adults standing around shocked. "What happened?" He asked Bianca. "Wednesday's dad just got arrested." He said. He gaped slightly. "Where's Y/n?" She asked. "Her mom showed up. I'm trying to get her to leave." He sighed. "Want me to help?" She asked. "She's in the Nightshade hideout with Ajax." Xavier said. "I'll check on them. I don't think she finished eating." She said, grabbing a small plate of food before leaving.
He walked over to the two arguing adults. "Xavier, is she okay?" Your grandmother asked. "No. She wishes that you weren't here." He said to your mother. "I only want to patch things up-" "you've made no effort to do so!" He snapped. Your mother frowned. "Just who do you think you are!?" She asked. "Someone who actually cares about your daughter! She checks the mail every single day hoping there is something from you. She keeps her phone on her in case you call. So far, the only known texts I'm aware of are from her-" he pointed to your grandmother "and from your phone service asking to refill the phone plan!" He said. She fell silent. "You can't seriously expect that showing up here would actually end well. Y/n doesn't want you here. She wants her here but not you." Xavier declared. "I'm not leaving until I speak to my daughter. Regardless of whatever bullshit she sent her little boyfriend to say to me." She sighed. "She doesn't know I'm here." He said.
Bianca came down the stairs, you looking over. "Heard you were also having mommy issues." She said, sitting on your other side. She handed you the plate. "Thanks Bianca." You said with a sad chuckle. "48 hours ago I wanted to strangle you. Now I'm bringing you food and realizing you and I are really similar." She said. You smiled slightly. "Where's Xavier?" You asked. "Dunno. He said he had to do something." She said. You bit into a small biscuit.
"Y/n" you heard the voice from Dr. Kinbott's office. You frowned, standing up. "Did you hear that?" You asked. Ajax and Bianca stood up. "Hear what?" You asked. "Y/n..." it called again. You began following it, going out of the hideout. Ajax and Bianca followed, watching you listen for something they couldn't hear. You opened a door, finding a large object with small steps leading up to it. It had a sheet over it. "...What the hell is this?" Bianca asked. You walked towards it, pulling the sheet off the object to reveal a large mirror. "Why is there an entire room for a mirror?" Ajax asked. "Y/nnnn" the voice called.
It was coming from inside the mirror...
You stared into it, placing your hand against the glass. "Y/n I don't think this is a good idea." Bianca said. You pushed and your hand went through. "The mirror's a portal" Ajax gaped. "Y/n, seriously this seems bad." Bianca warned. You had to admit, everytime you followed the voice something had tried to kill you. Perhaps it was best to leave it alone.
You pulled back, turning around. "You're right-" a hand reached from the mirror, yanking you back into it. "Y/N!" Ajax and Bianca yelled. "Stay here, I'm getting Weems!" Ajax said. Bianca nodded as he ran through the halls. He frantically knocked on her office door but no one answered, him groaning as he took off into a sprint for the quad.
"I'm telling you, Y/n doesn't want to see you. Why is that answer not good enough!?" Xavier asked. "Because I-" "Xavier, where's Weems!?" Ajax asked. He looked over. "Uh. She's giving parents a tour, what's wrong?" Xavier asked. "It's Y/n-"
You were back in the crimson realm, fog around you this time. You were face to face with a woman holding a lantern. "Who the fuck are you!?" You gasped. "My name is Estrid Holmes... I'm you." She said. You frowned. "What!?" You asked. "Someone is trying to kill you Y/n." She declared. "You're the death spirit here!" You halted. "What? No-no! We share a soul. I'm a past life. The death spirit is attacking you- it's a part of the ritual." She said. "What fucking ritual!?" You asked.
"The ritual to complete the banshee. The blood moon will complete it all. Everything will happen at once. Nevermore and you by extension are in danger." She said. You shook your head confused. "Where are we, what is this- how the hell did I get here through a mirror!?" You asked. A shriek came through the woods. The woman grabbed your hand. "We have to get you back to the portal." She said. "I came through-" you turned around to where the portal was originally and nothing was there. "It moves. Come." Estrid ushered.
You two ran with her lantern through the fog. "You have to defeat the banshee to control it but you are not ready. Not right now." She said. "Where are we!?" You asked. "The fade." She answered. "What" "it is what separates life and death. The world in between." She explained as you ran. "What's the lake?" You asked. "The way to pass on." She said. "So that's why I nearly died." You breathed. "When a fully living person tries to pass through the lake, a kelpie nearly drowns them." She said. "I thought kelpies were horses?" "Some are. Others prefer the shape of humans." She said before seeing a glint on top of a large rock.
The shriek was heard again closer. "No..." Estrid breathed. "What's wrong?" You asked. "It found us."
Xavier ran in, Bianca looking at him panicked. "What happened to Weems!?" She asked. "Ajax is looking for her, what happened!?" Xavier asked. "I don't know! She went though that thing!" Bianca said, pointing to the mirror. He shoved off his jacket. "Where are you going!?" She asked. "To find her." He said before going through the mirror.
He had trouble seeing through the fog but he could hear something. A struggle. He made out a fire in the distance, running towards it to find a woman on the ground. Her veins were black and her eyes were glazed over. "Where's Y/n?" He asked. She slowly lifted her hand and pointed towards her.
A blue flash shot out, a shriek being heard. He ran towards it, finding you looking around panicked. "Y/n!" He gasped. You frowned. "Xavier!?" You asked, turning to him to reveal a small cut on your forehead. "We need to go!" He said. "Shhh!" You hushed. He blinked, hearing a snap. You turned towards the noise, hands up.
Something shot out of the fog tackling you to the ground. Xavier reached to help. "DON'T! TOUCH! IT!" You yelled. He pulled back, watching as the cloaked creature strangled you. You struggled, feeling the ground until you found a rock, slamming it into its head. It let out a shriek, falling off of you. You got up, grabbing Xavier's hand. "RUN." you said. He nodded, both of you taking off into a sprint.
Ajax came back with Weems. "What's happened?" She asked. "Xavier and Y/n are in the mirror!" She said. Weems frowned. "Did they go unarmed!?" She asked. "Arm- Why would they need weapons!?" Bianca asked. Weems frowned looking at the mirror. "God help us all."
You ran next to Xavier. "What the hell was that thing!?" Xavier asked. "A death spirit!" You answered as you ran. You could see the mirror but you heard the shriek again. "It's nearby." You breathed. He frowned. "What do we do?" He asked. "You have to leave." You said. "What? No I'm not leaving you with that thing!" He halted. "Xavier, I can't lose you." You said. "And I can't lose you!" He said. You frowned as the shriek got closer. "Let's just get to the mirror." You said. You rushed through the fade to get to the mirror, finally having it within arm's reach.
"You have to defeat the banshee to control it"
You looked at the portal and then the fog. "Y/n come on." Xavier said. You swallowed hard. "I'm sorry." You said before shoving him through it. The portal changed locations, leaving you in the fog.
Xavier fell out of the portal, Bianca and Ajax frowning. "Where's Y/n!?" Weems asked. "She... she shoved me through- I..." Xavier breathed. "She's not ready for this!" Weems breathed. "Perhaps she is." Your grandmother said, standing in the doorway. "The voices guided her here in the first place. Perhaps they felt she was ready." She said. "Katherine, she just learned about her cooling abilities!" Weems argued. "We have to trust that she knows what she's doing." Your grandmother said calmly. "She could die!" Weems said. "Why are you so calm about this?" Xavier asked. "Because she knows my daughter. And so do I." Your mother said standing next to her. "She's not going down without a fight."
Your nerves were cool, frost falling from your palms as you stood ready. "Come on!" You yelled. "I'm right here! Come and get me!" You yelled. The woods were dead silent. You knew you weren't alone. You could feel it.
The creature charged, leaving you to shoot off frost at it. It growled like a feral human, crawling on all fours as it charged. It scratched your shoulder, blood trickling down your arm as you shot off an icicle, cutting a piece of the cloak off. It growled, scratching your side. You let out a grunt of pain, backing away. It got up, letting out a seething growl before tackling you back, injuring your leg. You stabbed it's shoulder with an icicle, forcing it back off you. It prepared to charge again until you attacked with more frost, forcing it on its back. It shrieked and you prepared to stab it through with an icicle until you saw its face.
"...You're me." You breathed. The hair was white and the eyes were black but it was you. You dropped your hands in shock. The version of you looked up at you, panting. "Eyes of silver hair drained of color, you will feel the death of others. When the blood moon rises to power, your enemies will cower. Let this warning be held with caution, for your path is mostly forgotten... we will join as one and your lessons will have begun." She said before disappearing.
"How do we know she's okay? Is there a time limit?" Bianca asked. "We will know if she dies." Weems muttered. "How?" Xavier asked concerned. "The mirror will close" she said, watching it intently. Ripples formed before you walked out, bleeding from your side and arms. Your eyes were silver now, Weems staring in shock. You looked at your grandmother.
"I'm ready now."

Saw you looking for microfic requests… feel free to ignore, but what about a first-date style microfic in Hogsmeade or something? Thinking like year 6 or 7? Not sure if you’ve done one of those before and sorry if this is too broad. Any character(s) would be cool!
aaaa this took me a while to brain but I hope it's what you were looking for 👀
oh and my friend gave me three words to try and incorporate in this too 😅👍
the way he immediately switched to bomb and death :sob:
word count: 1113
ding~
The bell above the door chimed, announcing my entry.
“Welcome to Honeydukes,” the owner, Mr. Flume greeted me. I responded with a subtle nod, not wanting to say anything but not wanting to be rude at the same time.
I scanned the nearby shelves; toffees, chocolates, some Fizzing Whizzbees……
There it was, carved neatly into the wooden sign board were the words ‘Special Effects’.
My gaze was followed by none other than the owner himself.
“Ah, the special effects section. Might I recommend you the–” I stopped him, smiling.
“I've already made up my mind, thanks Mr. Flume.”
Not at all offended, the lovely Ambrosius Flume nodded and left me be.
I grabbed a blue box off the top shelf and brought it to the cashier.
“The finest sugar quills,” he said, taking one look at the box of sweets. “You my dear, must have an eye for confectionery, no?”
I blushed, not taking compliments well.
“It's for a friend,” I explained. To which he replied with a knowing, “I see.”
I never did like giving people chocolates, they were too common. But sugar quills? They're my signature go-to when it comes to gifts, my own little flair you could say.
I left Honeydukes with the box of sweets neatly bagged, roaming the streets of Hogsmeade a while before finally settling down in the Three Broomsticks Inn, giving my watch a quick glance……
Ten more minutes.
~
“Someone's early.”
His silky voice took me by surprise. I looked up and smirking gray eyes met mine. I smirked back, rolling my eyes.
“Sit down, Malfoy.”
Never in my life would I have expected this. Draco Malfoy, the very guy that tormented me for years, was now on a freaking date with me.
Though it was true that Draco was the one who initiated the date, deep down I knew I too had developed feelings for the boy.
Draco was an absolute player, every soul in Hogwarts knew that; and as the silence between us dragged on, I started to wonder why the heck I was here in the first place.
“Y/n– You okay?” His voice drew me back to reality. “Madam Rosmerta just asked if you'd like to order anything.”
“Oh, huh– I'll just have butterbeer, th-thanks.” Draco only continued staring at me intently, like I was a mystery yet to be solved. I avoided his gaze, mumbling a quick, “Sorry, I zoned out.”
It felt so out of place when he just grinned back. He wasn't making small talk, we weren't talking at all. Was it because of our history with each other? Was this whole thing just a joke to him?
“Hey,” Draco spoke in the most casual way possible, gaining eye contact with me.
“Hi?” Was the only thing I could think to blurt.
He smiled at this.
“First time, love?”
How did he know—
“And I bet you've been on tons,” I slipped, echoing the negative thoughts in my head.
Draco tilted his head. “And why would you say that?”
I looked away, “No reason.”
He grabbed my chin and forced me to face him. Draco's touch was gentle but unfamiliar, sending shivers down my spine.
“I know you think im some asshole that loves messing around,” his voice was stern, the very kind he used when he was actually being serious. “But I really want you to trust me on this. You and I, this isn't a little fling I'm playing at.”
The man in front of me knew me more than I knew myself. At times I saw it through his insults and bullying, but at times I saw it through the way he secretly cared for me…… Maybe that was the reason I'm here.
“Please?”
I nodded, “Okay.”
His stern face melted away and was replaced with an indifferent one. “So tell me about yourself,” he tried.
“Seriously? I've known you since year two…” I mumbled.
“Well, tell me something I don't know then, y/n.” There was a tinge of harshness to his voice but that somehow only turned me on even more.
“I don't think I could live a day without you.”
Shocked, Draco was completely speachless. And I only realised the weight of my words after I'd blurted it.
“I-It's true… I don't know what I'd do without your daily snarky remarks and insults… Th-They give me a sense of hope that somewhere under all that,” I gulped. “Y-You cared.”
It was a strange feeling, wanting his attention. It was even weirder that I was admitting all of this to him but that's just how I am, an absolute pushover.
Our drinks arrived just then and I dived into my mug of butterbeer without a thought, wanting to wave off the bomb of awkwardness I had just dropped.
“Look, y/n… I do care,” he stated. “I care about you way more than you know. It's just something I don't find easy to show, I've never felt this way for someone before.”
I smiled at him, he smiled back, and I felt blush creep all the way up to my ears.
“Oh! I almost forgot–” I pulled out the lapis blue box I had bought from earlier. “I got you something…”
“Hm?” Draco took the box from me, “You didn't have to...”
I caught him take a quick peek at the sugar quills inside.
“Just something small, I didn't want to show up empty handed.”
He chuckled, putting the gift aside. “Thanks.”
Secretly, I was relieved; I didn't want to see his reaction anyways.
Draco and I chatted as we slowly drank our butterbeers, touching topics like school and family, basically filling the empty silence we would otherwise have between us.
But as our drinks neared their end so did our conversation burn out, leaving us to sit there silently in each other's presence.
The silence this time round was oddly soothing, knowing there wouldn't be any judgment from either party. We were already close before this, taking this ‘date’ as a progression in our relationship from enemies to lovers.
Draco got up to pay short after, leaving me alone at the table. The box of sugar quills was open in front of his seat and it looked like he'd already gone through one over the course of our conversation. I smiled, I think this relationship is gonna work out just fine.
Two gentle hands found themselves on my shoulder from behind. I tilted my head upwards and was once again met with his loving gray eyes.
“So, what do you say? You, me, we make this official.”
I smiled back at him. “Deal.”
He grinned. “Alright then……
Till death do us part.”

Warming Up To You: Part 1
A/N: Okay, so I got a few responses saying to keep it as parts instead of one big thing, and surprise I've decided to turn this into a small, small series. So expect a few more chapters to come out soon. Hope you enjoy!

----------------------------------------------------------
When you thought about the small town, known to locals as Hedgehog Village, you never thought of speed and violence as a daily occurrence. So it made it all the more amusing to see tourists swept away in utter fear whenever Eggman attacked the town hall for the seventh time that week.
Yes, although the village looked like any other, it in fact held one of the weirdest rivalries in all of Bygone Island. Pretty much everyone in town knew who Sonic the Hedgehog was, his friends included. They'd be seen stomping on Eggman's doomsday parties and hanging out at Meh Burger. For whatever reason you were unsure, why frequent a place that specialises in paper straws?
You weren't too familiar with the entire group, only introducing yourself to a few whenever you crossed paths. You were friendly enough with Sonic and Tails, and you had once bumped into Amy while shopping for fresh fruit. You had heard stories of the missing members: Knuckles and Sticks.
Though you had never met them in person, they sounded like a barrel of fun. But after an unworldly experience last week, you were hoping to run into the blue blur again and hammer him with your questions.
Last week saw another Eggman attack, nothing surprising or new. However, what really spiced the game up was another addition to Team Eggman. Instead of his usual lackeys, he was joined by a black and red hedgehog. To say he piqued your interest was an understatement.
You were enamoured by him, so much so that you grew embarrassed when even thinking about it; for heaven's sake, you didn't even know his name. You tried to ask around, be completely incognito about the whole thing but you couldn't get any answers from the brain dead villagers.
So low and behold, you hoped to stumble across Sonic and discretely ask questions about the mysterious ebony hog. After all, it was Sonic who was fighting him and even from the distance you were at, you could see there was some sort of relationship there.
You were hanging around Meh Burger, just perched against a tree waiting for the key moment when the Sonic team arrived. This felt weird, was it considered stalking? Well, it's not like you wanted information on Sonic himself, just another speedy hedgehog that kinda looked a little like him.
Were they related? That thought had crossed your mind at some point, but you soon dismissed it; you like to think you'd know if Sonic had a brother.
Aha, right on cue Team Sonic rock up to Meh Burger and rush to their usual table...perfect. Using that acting degree to the best of your ability, you stepped away from the tree and pretended that you hadn't just spent close to an hour hiding under it.
You swiftly walked over to the group, watching with disgust as they began piling in what they considered food, "Oh, hey (Y/N)!" Sonic beamed.
I'm in, you thought to yourself with a smile. You gave them a brief wave, "Hey guys, I see you're eating at Meh Burger...Finally, right?" you awkwardly laughed. Tails shrugged his shoulders, inspecting a fry, "Yeah, it's nice to go to the only food joint in town. And they rebuilt this place pretty quickly, I still feel bad about partially destroying it."
Tails glared across the table to Knuckles, the red echidna was about to eat his burger but placed it back down to defend himself, "Hey, it's not my fault Meh Burger was in the way of me falling!"
"Hehe...riiiight..." you rubbed the back of your head, knees weak and palms sweaty. You looked around the table, seeing the others staring at you with confusion in their eyes, "Segway!" you shouted out, finger pointing up to the sky.
"Speaking of last week, that was some fight, huh? A-and who by chance was that other hedgehog you were up against? A friend oooor family?" you drew out. Sonic shook his head with disgust, "Nah, that's just Shadow. He's sort'ova loner type, doesn't work well with others."
"Oh," you whispered out, so his name was Shadow, you like that. Now all to do was ask for a location, but why on Earth would they tell you, let alone know, where he live-
"Oh yeah sure, we can tell you where he lives." Tails spoke, smiling and flicking up his fancy-lookin' wristwatch. A holographic map shot into the air, sending your skin a rich blue, "He lives out in the jungle, I'm not exactly certain whereabouts, but I know he lives in a cave around this sort of area."
Tails pointed to a small area of the map, it seemed to be near some cliffs. You nodded your head, trying to form the map into your mind to remember later when you'd get inevitably lost. With all the information you needed, which wasn't a lot, you set off to find this elusive hedgehog.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had felt like hours since you had left the comfort of Hedgehog Village, all you could see for miles were thick green bushes and long logs of brown.
Sweat was beginning to form along your forehead, maybe hacking at leaves for countless hours at a time would wear you out; mad. But you continued on your tireless track, who knows, perhaps you'd find Shadow and then-
And then...and then, what? Oh god, you didn't think this out enough. What would you do when you actually met Shadow the Hedgehog? Have a nice chat about...being...evil? Maybe a conversation will strike up when you actually meet him, could be very natural ooooor completely awkward.
Another cut here, a simple slash there and you had finally made it into a clearing. There, along the dirt horizon, stood a small cave. You couldn't make out the inside, too shrouded in darkness for anything to be seen. Stepping forward you were swept off of your feet and pinned to the nearest tree.
Deadweight pushed against you, breathing becoming a little harder to control when you could feel your feet dangling off of the ground. Blinking your eyes open you were caught in a stare-off, ruby eyes glared back at you, a low growling sound filling your eyes.
"What are you doing here?" his voice was deep, much deeper than you had originally expected. And if it were any other situation you might have swooned. You struggled against his grasp, Shadow's grip only tightening the more you twisted and turned.
"I'll ask again, what the hell are you doing here?" you felt like your lungs were going to explode if you didn't get some air. Your face began to turn purple, you repeatedly began tapping on his arm that held you up, wordlessly begging to be released.
He complied, for now, allowing you to drop to the ground, coughing and spluttering while you regain your natural complexion. It took a few moments for you to rescue your composure, but when you did you could only stare at him wide-eyed.
"Well, I'm waiting?" he huffed out, standing above you with his arms folded across his chest. You stuttered to stand up, dusting off your clothes before responding, "A-are you Shadow the Hedgehog?"
"Who wants to know?" he growled out, you wheezed but went along with this tough guy schtick, "I do."
"And who are you? Actually, don't tell me. I've lost the need to care, just crawl back to whatever dirt hole you came from and never come back." he panted, turning to leave you. He had only made it a few paces ahead before he heard you pipe up, "And what happens if I come back?"
He flicked his head to you in an instant, "You don't want to know," you stepped forward, slowly approaching him like you would a cornered cat. With a fake smirk on your lips, you once again prayed on that drama degree, "Oh, but what if I do?"
You think for a split second you saw him smirk, but with the frown that seemed permanently stuck to his face, you were beginning to think it was a trick of the eyes. He, like you, took steps closer until there was only a hair of space between you, "Then you deal with me."
He pulled away walking back to his cave and disappearing into the inky darkness. You took his warning, albeit lightly, and made your way back to Hedgehog Village; knowing you'd return here sooner than later.
