THE SLOW REVEAL TO HIS SAD PANDA EYES (Doom at your service ep 13)
Bro Ep 13’s ending was magnificent, like y’all been saying
Just build up of encounters between them as they suspect there’s something within their reach but they can’t figure out what that is
Every time they do or say something reminiscent of what they said in the past, a shadow of a memory flashes across their mind and they’re left fumbling after it
The fact that some buried instinct and desire pushed him to kiss her despite not currently holding feelings for her but being so struck by her smile and those flashes of memory that held his feelings
The kiss. That split second montage of all the places that had become memorable to them. Crashing down on them and overwhelming their senses.
The fact that even tho she was in his subconscious, she didn’t have any effect on it bc the Myul Mang who doesn’t remember her doesn’t have feelings for her, but the moment he remembers, his whole subconscious comes to life… bc it’s not that she was special or magical or that her existence was extraordinary… it was that she became special to him… which makes him very human indeed…
The fact that she wakes up first bc she’s the reason they lost their memories in the first place, but he still takes a second longer to adjust
When they both go running to the place they had shared as their home
And I repeat THE PHONE CALL. HER REALISING HES BEHIND HER. THE SLOW REVEAL TO SEE JUST THE ABSOLUTE SADDEST EYES.
Like equal parts betrayal and relief. Like “I can’t believe you did that but thank god I remember you”
And the first thing they say is “how could you not remember me?!”
And then they just fall into each other…
And the flower blooming again (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`)
Bro the OST song is so well-suited holy shit

Doom At Your Service: Analysis & Theories for EPs 7-8
Welcome back to another edition of analyses and theories time with me! I’m going to try and keep this post as short and as simple as possible. In case I don’t, I apologize in advance! Also, sorry if this post is filled with grammar mistakes and confusing syntax...I'm writing/editing this late at night and my ADHD meds have lost their effectiveness.
Anyways Eps 7-8 was pretty awesome and I’m glad that a bunch of my previous theories had come true! For those who wonder how I come up with some of these theories, I just look at everything whether it be big or small. I also try to look for connections and patterns. At the same time, I try to understand the motivations of characters and what is the big picture the writer is trying to paint. Once you're able to do all of that then you can predict where the story is going. This is how for the most part I was able to predict the events and endings of shows like TOTNT and TKEM. Anyhow, let’s get down to analyzing and theorizing! Turn on those thinking caps!
What the Rock Balancing Structure Represents
Rock balancing is a form of art that involves a person placing a combination of rocks in an arrangement. To achieve balance of the rocks, one must be very patient and compassionate. In its completion, the structure represents that while things may appear impossible, they are actually possible. So what seems impossible, but can actually be possible? Hmmm probably Myul Mang learning what it means to be human and ending up becoming human. Notice that both the rock art is next to the plant and the story of Pinocchio? It's saying saying that the impossible can be possible. It's possible for Myul Mang to be able to learn what it means to be a human so that the impossible can happen...he can "grow" up to becoming a real human.
The whole rock balancing structure could also signify that in order to grow, one must overcome one's deepest fears. I don't know about you all, but stacking rocks is a scary thing especially since at any moment the whole thing could fall over. Anyways, if you remembered, Myul Mang had been searching everywhere for Dong Kyung and feeling like one of his worst fears (Dong Kyung not existing) had came true. It's only when he goes to Dora's hospital room and sees both the Pinocchio book and rock structure that he got Dora's lesson. And that's why afterwards you didn't see Myul Mang going on another search for Dong Kyung somewhere else.
Tumblr media
A brief digression. I’ve seen multiple people theorizing that the plant and the butterfly represent Dong Kyung and Myul Mang respectively. To them I say, did you just completely miss the part where Dora says the plant is Myul Mang? Myul Mang is both the butterfly and the plant. For those who still don’t see that, let me break it down.
Tumblr media
First, what do butterflies symbolize? They symbolize metamorphosis, death, and rebirth. Myul Mang is not a literal butterfly, but he will eventually be one in a metaphorical sense. If anything, Myul Mang right now is like a caterpillar on the verge of entering the cocoon stage that is followed by a reemergence as a butterfly aka human. You can also look at it this way, Pinocchio is a butterfly too. Why? Well, look at what happens to Pinocchio. He is reborn as a real boy after having gone through metamorphosis (puppet -> real boy).
Now let’s examine the plant symbolism. What do plants represent in DAYS? They represent humans. What is Dora growing? A human Myul Mang..DUH!! Sorry, but I didn’t think it was that hard of a concept to grasp especially since Dora has already explicitly said what she is growing in that one scene. For Myul Mang to grow up to become a "good" human, he needs to learn to think about others, forgive himself, be compassionate (not only towards himself, but others as well), love others, etc. Other things Myul Mang would probably need to learn is how to love his fate or amor fati (loving your fate means loving it all, not just the good parts, but the bad parts too; loving it so much so that you would never want to change anything about it and would gladly relive your life the way it was over and over again for all of eternity).
I don’t think the "plant" will fully "blossom" until Myul Mang sacrifices himself to save Dong Kyung for the sole reason that he loves her (in contrast to sacrificing himself for his own personal gain). Therefore, that's probably the final lesson -- how to be completely selfless.
Dora just wants her son to grow up to be a "good" plant (human) so she doesn't have to end up pulling him out aka end him before he even becomes human! Okay???
Tumblr media
Sorry if what I've just said was confusing. What I meant to say is that Myul Mang's personal growth is reflective in the plant's growth. The more he learns of what it means to be a "good" human, the more the plant will grow until it blossoms into a beautiful flower (a real human).
If we want to connect the idea of personal growth to the story of Pinocchio, we see that Pinocchio's growth occurs only after he experiences pain (physical and emotional) and love. From these experiences, he learns what it means to be a "good" boy and is rewarded by the Fairy transforming him into a real boy.
One Wish or Wishes?
In my previous post, I had briefly touched upon how I think Dong Kyung is going to wish for brain cancer to be cured. Though I still think this, I nevertheless want to explore some of the other possibilities of what her wish could be.
Potential Wishes:
1) Myul Mang to Become Human
2) More Wishes
3) Contract to be Voided
4) No One Remembering Her After She Dies
For #1, Dong Kyung wishes Myul Mang to become human, but then she still dies from her untreated brain cancer…so nope. For #2 and #3, are these wishes even allowed? I would like to point out some flaws of the writer. Maybe it’s not so much a flaw, but an annoyance I have with the writer of DAYS. What one can or cannot wish for is not explicitly stated. Due to this, it is somewhat difficult for me to accurately predict what Dong Kyung will wish for. It’s like trying to detect a substance without being given its upper and lower limits or range of detection (sorry for the science related analogy) ! For #4, I guess this one could be probable, but there is just too much evidence pointing to Myul Mang's death. After exploring each of the possibilities, I'm still left thinking that Dong Kyung's one wish will be to cure her cancer.
Anyways, even if Dong Kyung wishes for her brain cancer to be cured, it’s not really a happy ending since Myul Mang still dies. Is there any other way for Dong Kyung to make another wish so that she can save Myul Mang? I think there is and it comes in the form of the “gift” that Dora gave Dong Kyung. In my previous post, I had theorized that the marble may have a larger purpose than just being a symbol of how the fate of the world is Dong Kyung hands. I believe now that the marble’s larger purpose is that it is a type of wish fulfilling stone. Why? Because we know fantasy dramas typically make references to mythology. In this case, the writer of DAYS is probably referencing Hindu mythology.
Tumblr media
In Hindu mythology there are 3 main gods:
1) Brahma: The Creator
2) Vishnu: The Preserver
3) Shiva: The Destroyer (Sounds like Myul Mang right? Also, the love story between Shiva and Parvati is somewhat similar to that of Myul Mang and Dong Kyung’s love story.)
Tumblr media
Dora is the equivalent to the god Vishnu in Hindu mythology. Vishnu is often depicted wearing a “Cintamani”, a type of wish fulling stone analogous to the Philosopher’s Stone (hint hint…transforms something from one form into another…immortal -> human) in Western mythology. Given this, the marble/Cintamani in Dong Kyung's possession could be the key to Myul Mang’s rebirth.
Some might ask, “Well why can’t Dora just use it to wish for her son to be reborn as a human?”. Well, remember that both Dora and Myul Mang are slaves to the wishes of humans. They themselves cannot fulfil their own wishes or desires. Meaning, even though Dora and Myul Mang can wish for something to happen, they cannot carry it out unless humans wish it too. Also, as I mentioned previously, deities in kdramas never just give humans gift because they’re being nice. Rather, they give gifts to humans so that humans can help them accomplish their overall goals/wishes.
So putting it all together, do you see where I’m going with this? Dora has the same wish as Dong Kyung which is for Myul Mang to live, but Dora is unable to execute her goals/wishes unless Dong Kyung wishes it too. Dora knows that Dong Kyung will probably use her one wish to cure her brain cancer. At the same time, this leaves her son, Myul Mang, to die. Therefore, Dora gives Dong Kyung the wish fulfilling marble with the intention that Dong Kyung will use it to wish for her son, Myul Mang, to be reborn as a human. With Dora/Dong Kyung’s wish, Myul Mang will be free from his cursed life as an immortal and be reborn to be able to live happily with Dong Kyung.
Side note, the rebirth of Myul Mang into a human can either be dependent on Myul Mang's personal growth or it can be dependent on this wish fulfilling stone or both! I'm leaning more towards his personal growth as being the catalyst for his rebirth, but who knows! It very well could be that the marble has a role to play in his rebirth.
Is Dong Kyung Going To Be An Immortal?
No…no…and NO!!
Tumblr media
Some might ask why don’t I think this? Well, for a bunch of reasons. I’ll admit I used to think that it would be very romantic for a human to become immortal so that they can be with their immortal lover forever. However, the more I thought about it, I came to the realization the notion of forever is not romantic nor beautiful. At its core, the concept of eternity is quite terrifying and ugly. And if you haven’t realized already, the writer of DAYS has been making multiple arguments against immortality. For anything to have meaning, it must have an end. In this sense, the end is beautiful.
Tumblr media
To get my point across, I want you to try and think about some things. What keeps life meaningful? Experiences? People? Well, imagine doing something you love for a year. Now imagine doing it for trillions or zillions of years. Experiences no matter how good they are at first will eventually become tedious if you do it for long enough. For example, eating your favorite dish may be good for a while, but not for zillions of years. At one point or another, you ultimately lose your desire to want to eat it or eat entirely for that matter.
Tumblr media
Now surely getting to know people and loving them can keep your life meaningful right? Well, how many times do you think you could handle knowing and loving people who eventually disappear? Eventually, you grow tired of crying and mourning over dead loved ones that you become numb. Now imagine being Dong Kyung. She would have to witness her family, their family, and so forth dying over and over again for all of eternity. Doesn’t that seem tortuous? Sure, one could argue that at least she has Myul Mang with her, but do you really think her love for him could sustain her forever? The relationship between Myul Mang and his mother, Dora, is a prime example of how a loving relationship could turn sour over a great deal of time. The gift of immorality Dora bestowed on Myul Mang became a curse instead of a blessing. So why would Myul Mang want to give Dong Kyung something that was basically a curse for him? As for Dora, she probably wouldn’t want to give Dong Kyung the same gift after seeing what it did to her son.
If you continue to think that Dong Kyung will become an immortal being, did you really smell what the writer of DAYS was cooking or did you just smell what you were cooking?
The Bad Case of the Riddles
From what I have been reading on multiple platforms now, it would seem that a lot of people are rather confused about a lot of things. It’s understandable! Throughout the show, the writer has presented some complex philosophical concepts that may be difficult for some viewers to grasp. To further add to the confusion, the characters at times do speak in what appears to be riddles. This I believe may be one of the major flaws of the writer. She has to consider that her audience are probably people who have never read any philosophical works before. Most viewers aren’t here to decipher cryptic messages or see how they’re connected to some major philosophical concepts such as eternal recurrence, existentialism, nihilism, amor fati, etc. Most are here to shut off their tired brain and enjoy some good fantasy romance! I know I’m totally one of those people!
Tumblr media
Needless to say, I did find myself in a debate of whether I should discuss some philosophical concepts referenced in the show as to help you all gain a better sense of understanding. However, I concluded that it would take too much of my time to do so. Additionally, despite my best efforts to use the simplest of words, I found that whatever I had already written may have still been confusing to the everyday reader. Anyways, if there are any particular scenes or dialogue you all want to me go over, please feel free to use the ask button and I’ll do my best to try and answer them!
Whats Going to Happen Next?
Probably more filler type stuff aka more bs. It's common in kdramas for characters to go back and forth on their initial decision of whatever. Dong Kyung is going to break up with Myul Mang because she loves him and doesn't want him to die. And before the breakup, she's going to give him some good memories to remember her by. Following this, she's going to try and love herself so that she's the one that ends up dying and her wish is going to be for everyone to forget her? Okay......Zzzzzzz!! Idk... Dora is probably going to intervene somehow to get Dong Kyung and Myul Mang back together again.
Other Random Thoughts
What I think would be interesting to learn about is the connection between Dong Kyung's parents death and Dora past self's death. It wasn't just all a coincidence that they both died on the same day. Who knows... maybe Dong Kyung was meant to be in the car that day with her parents, but Dora's past self sacrificed herself to change Dong Kyung's fate.
Also, I still don't think Dong Kyung is going to die, I mean you got her brother praying to the deities that she lives!
Tumblr media
Okay, I'm done. I wrote this in Microsoft Word and it was 5 pages long. My brain is dead. There's probably something I should've gone over or elaborated more about, but oh well. Thanks for reading this disjointed post!

I don’t know if i’ll be able to be as coherent as I sound in portuguese (istg i make way more sense in pt yall should learn it and make my life easier). But let me begin by saying I kinda get the point of that awful love triangle, and this episode made it even more clear than the rest of the series. Hyun Kyun and Na Ji Na were holding onto things for longer than they should’ve. It’s been 10 years and they did not let that love die as it should. We see how Myul Mang not only destroys things but he watches as they disappear too (life, traditions, words). What happened in this episode was our main couple learning to let go, the last stage of grief (acceptance). And on a surface level, this is obvious, but when you think about the flower metaphor you can see where the story is going. New things can only grow after we let the old ones die. Life is a circle (as the lion king probably said, idk i haven't seen it) and we die and people are born, and we love and stop loving (as Myul Mang said at the end) because we’re human and we’re capable of doing so. Na Ji Na and Hyun Kyun were showing us what happens if you don’t let things die. if you hold onto something that is already dead and pretend there’s something still there... and it isn’t worth it (they’re both miserable). For 4 episodes our couple was basically walking in circles trying to avoid their fate but they’ve realized that even if it’s painful, they have to go through it. And that’s probably how Myul Mang will become human because the deity (Doom) has to die in order for him to be something else. But to do so they have to (for lack of a better word) suffer. Dora keeps saying nothing should come easy, that the pain has meaning and for Dong Kyung to see her happy ending she must live. It was always about Myul Mang sacrificing himself for her because that’s the way he will grow to be something else. The butterfly has died and the flower is blossoming, he’ll be part of Dora’s garden eventually. I just feel that to get there Dong Kyung must also learn how to live without him, to find joy in other things too. She must accept doom as part of life, as she was told. If she starts living like Na Ji Na, stuck in the past, I fear everything will be in vain. What she learned with Myul Mang is to enjoy her life and now she can do so, even if he isn’t there. As for him, that sacrifice will mean something and he must! come back, otherwise, I’ll fly to korea and kick tvn’s door.

Some thoughts,
Wow I thought this episode was going to be too sad and hard to watch. I contemplated putting it off because I worried it would feel like a filler episode since most of the time by this number of episodes they tend to be fillers before the finale.
But it didn’t feel too much like a filler and there are still some crucial moments in this episode/next episode preview and I just wanted to share my observations.
I noticed this was the first episode that didn’t pick up where we leave off in the previous episode. We didn’t see the full interaction between So Nyeoshin and Dong Kyung so I almost wonder if this episode is more of a scenario of what would happen if Dong Kyung agreed to So Nyeoshin’s offer. Or did Dong Kyung fully agree to this set up? It’s possible since it’s a way for everyone that she loves to live.
I understand the need to cancel the contract but I really do feel like Dong Kyung has power with her wishes. Especially because they make such a big deal about wishes the entire time. I have a feeling her wishes will come back in the finale in a big way. I almost wonder if they need the contract to get through this?
No matter what So Nyeoshin has done— they continue to meet because of fate and the flower is continuing to grow after his revelation that something is wrong. She really can’t stop fate. So I wonder why she told Dong Kyung to go up to the roof? Now that the contract is no more, does she hope for them to end up together? She left little bread crumbs for them to find each other— their photo, his phone, his number in her phone, the red bracelet. It seems sloppy of her but it’s intentional. They know each other’s names now.
Park Young is back and didn’t recognize the tteokbeoki restaurant owner this time but he did bicker with Myul Mang. I wonder if he was only “recognized” because of Dong Kyung. The more human he becomes the more he is remembered by others in his different forms? Considering everyone he has interacted with around Dong Kyung has remembered him in one form or another. Because when Dong Kyung thought to herself about seeing him before he was shocked since people don’t ever remember him.
They’re not going to give away the ending like that in a preview. Her dying/funeral has to be a piece of the puzzle to wrap up this story. I feel like the last emotion Myul Mang will need to feel before becoming human is grief or something like that. Yes he cried when his “mother” died but she always came back. Imagine the emotions he will feel when the reality hits that he will never ever see the woman that he loves ever again.
Keep in mind, this is a FANTASY drama where the laws of the world get broken all the time. It’s not over until it’s over.
I probably will post more as I think about it. I was trying to look for any details to allude to a happy ending after that heart wrenching preview for the next few episodes. I’m dying to know how this ends.

My guess is that the flower represents Myul Mang's chance to become human. Since humans are flowers and he is a butterfly now. But through love and learning of humans he can become one? Hopefully?

Note
at this point i'm convinced dora is staying around to watch the flower grow aka doom turn human (kim saram) that's it, nothing else is possible in my mind, he's coming back to dk but in human form
yeah like how myul mang even said this is the first time she considered staying around longer, she needs to see the end of this and then she can die. he was the butterfly in the garden before but now he's becoming one of the flowers, a human.

Spoilers for Doom at Your Service 1.11-1.12
ok so there are so many people on here who have probably said this better than I will, but I realized something else about the deity's flower.
When Myul Mang asks what the flower is, she says "it's you" not "its a possibility" like before, but the flower is Myul Mang. It IS a possibility for him. But who has flowers in the garden?? HUMANS!! I don't know how feasible it is that he becomes a human in the end (this also seems like an obvious solution that I'm not sure they would do? The writer seems to be challenging tropes a lot in this, and that seems a bit too trope-y for what we have seen so far) but we are definitely going down the road of him becoming MORE human. I'm interested to see how that manifests in the end.
PS please message me if you have thoughts, I have been doom scrolling (heh) through this tag for days and cannot think of anything else.

It's been 98 days since he sacrificed himself so she could live longer and happily. Enjoying everything that life gave her. The big things, little things, ugly things, beautiful things, everything.
It's been 98 days since she sobbed on the top stairs, under the rain, after he disappeared in front of her with unfinished sentence. Now she lives her life remembering him in every single thing. In the new season coming, in the wind blows, in seeing a bed of flowers. Because this world is filled with things that disappeared, filled with him.
It's been 98 days since he stayed in the garden. His mother's garden. Missing her. Longing for her. But he did not know that during his time there, he was just finishing his last stage to become human.
It's been 98 days since she lived her life. Seeing her family, friends, doing her job. Being angry, sad, disappointed, happy. Buying herself flower and pretending it was from him. This time, she appreciate every single day. She celebrates her life. She celebrates the good day she spent. She misses him so much, she cried on his bed. And then pick herself up and move on her days.
It's been 98 days since he disappeared in front of her, taking with him her illness. Granting her the gift of life from his own. This time, he blooms beautifully as Cosmos, as his mother showed him. He's ready. "Go back," she said. "She's waiting for you. Go." And so he goes to meet her.
It's been 98 days since she spent her days while talking to him in her head. She wrote their story down as web novel to immortalized, to look back from time to time. To remember him. To thank him for everything. To honor his legacy given to her. Unknowing that he will be back.
It's been 98 days since he hold her hands. Seeing her so close, so warm. So small yet so strong and brave. Her bunny eyes when she realized it was him who held her hand.
It's been 98 days since she hoped and wished and prayed for him to held her hand again. Just once would be fine. Even if it was just for a short while would be fine. She just wanted him to hold her again. And then he did, and she could not believe her eyes. "Am I dreaming again? Is this even real?" She thought, for she dreamt about him so much, she scared to believe that this was real.
"What are you?" She asked.
"Your hand holder." Answered him.
It's been 98 days since they held each others hand, being wrapped in each others hug, under the rain. She still could not believed he returned, and he still could not believed that his demise as Myul Mang was not the real end. They still could not believe that now they have all the time as normal, ordinary humans. Full of love.
After 98 days, this time, they can spent their days together, doing mundane things, meeting people, eating, drinking, laughing, bickering, holding hands, hugging, sleeping together, call each other, without fear of the other suddenly disappear. They still got a long way, their story isn't finished yet. It's just started. They will spend it feeling grateful, thankful, for everything. For the beginning and ending. For everything they have accepted, and everything they will have to decide. And it will be peaceful, ordinary, and human.

From Doommates to Bloommates
There’s a lot of wonderful symbolism in Doom at Your Service. I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s theories on the red string of fate, whether Myul Mang and Dong Kyung will be deities or humans together, and if this is at least partly a story written by her friend (ita the parallels between mm/dk and the ill-fated loved triangle are getting strong).
There is a theory which I haven’t seen exactly yet. That the Flower the Goddess is waiting to bloom is actually Dong Kyung, who has been living in a suspended state of survival until her terminal illness brought doom into her life which awakens how much she truly wants to live. There are many reasons for Dong Kyung to be the Flower. First, she is human and therefore meant to be part of the Goddess’s garden. Second, she brought the flowers back to life in Myul Mang’s world. Third, like the potted plant, she has not been growing in life. For a long time, she has been taking care of everyone else but not herself. She has also stunted her emotions to survive which is most prominent in not allowing herself to cry or feel the true impact of what has happened to her over the years. We get a literal representation of this emotional state in two visuals: the ocean which cries for Dong Kyung and the marble which represents Dong Kyung’s frozen ocean of tears she can’t shed herself. One of the main things that needs to happen for Dong Kyung to grow and bloom into the Flower she was meant to become is to fully accept her emotions and eventually let herself cry so she can truly live. She’s not going to get there with smooth sailing. She needs obstacles to push at her defenses and bring her walls down. There is more pain to come.
There is another big hint that Dong Kyung is the Flower in both the titles and the marketing of the show. First, let’s look at the titles.
Here in the black and white garden of the Goddess we see Myul Mang the Butterfly fly in (see far right column).
Tumblr media
After Myul Mang and Dong Kyung shake to seal their contract, they are enveloped in the red string of fate which births a large flower bringing a full range of colors (aka emotions) into the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end of the titles, the butterfly comes to rest in the bloom of the flower as the camera pans out to show a spectacularly colorful garden sunset with a man and woman holding hands (both whom look similar to our two main couples). This is the endgame: the butterfly and flower are meant to be together just like the romantic couple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This pretty clearly shows that Myul Mang is butterfly and Dong Kyung is the flower.
Furthermore, in the latest TVN twitter posts for their big kiss both in the text and video of the tweet they have 4 emojis to represent the moment:
Flower + Butterfly + Rain + Kiss = Dong Kyung and Myual Mang kiss in the rain
Tumblr media
They started off wanting to bring the world doom but they will end it wanting to watch it bloom. They’re going from Doommates to Bloommates.

Lots of DAYS thoughts/ questions
Did he disappear after kissing her because he was scared and wanted to reset or because he HAD to reset? What needed to be reset???
So she can’t wish for him to love her??? But she can wish for her to love him??? I am really wondering what her wish will be? For him to be human? Lol
Does the flower pot that So Nyeoshin is trying to grow something in represent Kim Saram’s feelings? His ability to become human? It’s her first time? Doing what? Interfering with another deity’s existence??? I need to know!
What’s with the marble?!?
Why did Hyun Kyu dump JiNa and why was he all weird when Joo-ik asked how it went???
Also,
Will the first time Dong Kyung cries be when she’s holding Myul Mang as he dies? I stg if something happens to either of them —
.
.
.
Idk guys just spitting nonsense at this point plz ignore

I'm replying in the form of ask because comment is not working for some reason.
So happy to read another review from you 🥰 thanks for making it long 😅 i love reading it, there is always something informative 😇 Also, it doesn't matter if your theory remains the same, but your take on every episode/scene is what makes it special. Like how you explained the scene between that old woman and MM. Nobody touched on that scene yet and i really wanted to know what was the significance.
When you talked about your gran, it melted my heart. She was really an amazing lady and she is still alive within you.💕 I've lost my gran few months back and i can totally relate with everything you said ❤
Coming to the show, many people asked me if something could still go wrong and DK/MM still dies in the end. Idk how possible that is (unless they die together happily somehow ! Lol) , because if DK dies then MM's sacrifice would go waste, and if MM dies then what was the whole point of turning him into a human? I'm not saying that they need to live a long life for being a successful human being, but as we know it is already June 2021 in the show, so I was thinking can they show that DK and MM just got married for 1 day and then someone dies (Goblin blues 😑🤢) but i dont think that would make any sense ! 😅
What are your thoughts on that ?
About DK's parent's death and Dora, I always thought there was a connection and now that we have 2 entire episodes left, I think we should get an explanation for the same. Just like you have guessed, I really want there to be a connection because ever since that accident took place, DK and MM's story kind of started.
Thank you so much again for posting your review. 🥰
Haha thank you!!! Yea I thought that scene was pretty interesting mainly because I had read it in TSZ and then saw it in DAYS lol. I wanted to talk about it more, but I got tired of typing stuff haha. I also took that scene of the lady leaving behind the flowers to mean in a metaphorical sense that she was passing on the torch of love and liberation to Myul Mang so he could pass it on to Dong Kyung.
Aww thanks girl!! Yea its been a difficult journey overcoming her death, but I've learned so much about myself in the process. I'll admit I was crying my eyes out when I was writing that section, but they were tears of both joy and sadness. I'm beyond grateful to have had her in my life! Oh no!! I'm sorry for your loss :(. Like you said though, they'll always be with us <3!! There will be days that are more difficult than others, but in the end, we'll be okay eventually!!! I'm sure we will continue to grow up well because of them :) !!!
There's been way too many clues dropped that they'll both live in the end. The whole point of Myul Mang "dying" currently is that it's suppose to represent that he's done with one stage and moving onto the next stage. He has finally become free of the shackles of his old life. And now it's time for his physical transformation to reflect his mental transformation lol. Hmmm if Dong Kyung dies after Myul Mang is made human... what would happen. Let me think about this. Well that would suck lol. On the bright side, at least they were able to get married? haha. Again, I don't think this will happen, but its a cool idea to entertain lol.
I honestly thought the writer would've explored that story further instead of giving us the whole amnesia ordeal...but here we are haha. I did calculations based off of Dong Kyung's and Dora's age and it would seem that within a year of Dong Kyung's parents death, Dora was reborn again lol.
No problem!!! Hope you've been enjoying reading my posts !!!

If Hometown Cha Cha Cha doesn’t end with Hyejin x Dusik married and playing with their kid on the Gongjin beach, then what is the point.

After Myul Mang and Dong Kyung shake to seal their contract, they are enveloped in the red string of fate which births a large flower bringing a full range of colors (aka emotions) into the world.

When Hyejin drunk kissed Dusik, she immediately felt the need to run around town with a huge grin on her face screaming “Chief Hong! Dusikie Oppa!” When Hyejin realized her feelings for Dusik, she couldn’t run to him fast enough with a happy smile on her face. Now that they are together, we’ve seen in the previews, Hyejin will be running into Dusik’s arms many times with a beaming smile. For someone who is generally reserved, it’s so wonderful to see Hyejin unable to contain her unadulterated joy at being in love with Dusik.
