These precious babies were born prematurely at 27 weeks, and will spend time in the NICU before coming home with the rest of the family! A million thank yous to the wonderful crew at Saint Mary’s Maternity Hospital for Expectant Mothers for helping us through the birthing process and being a great support system while we got used to the three party crashers!

I smiled at the parade of THE RATAJCZYK TRIPLETS ARE HEREs posted in the comment section. People were beyond hyped about the arrival of the newest members of the Ratajczyk family, and I had gotten multiple DMs from people wondering if they could buy something to help us out. I had rectified by creating an Amazon wish list with baby shampoo, diapers, baby wipes and crib pads, posting it up to the top of my Instagram profile. The wish list was emptied two days later, and so I kept adding the bare necessities of what was needed to care for newborn babies, times three.

Baby Jojo only had the faintest of lumps on her spine and didn’t really seem bothered by it as she stretched out over her daddy’s chest, taking up as much room as she possibly could and almost successfully shoving her older brothers off.

The three babies were each the perfect blend of their parents- Baby Mattie was the perfect miniature of big brother Thomas Jospeh Ratajczyk and his father. Baby Teddy had my scarlet curls and his daddy’s hazel blue eyes. Baby Jojo had her daddy’s hair coloring but with my curls and her mommy’s big blue eyes.

Peter had recovered quite well from his allergic reaction to the anesthesia used for his vasectomy. The alarming swelling in his face had gone down dramatically and he was soon able to sleep in my tiny hospital bed with me. He would sleep with me curled up on his burly chest, creating such the sweet picture. Elizabeth had snapped a few photos of us in this position, and he had posted one to his personal Instagram account.

Jackie had been coming in four times a day with food that she had crafted together in her kitchen. She was currently renting an apartment with a friend of hers from the mechanic shop and she also did photography on the side for a bit of extra income. Peter had asked her about pricing, and she had directed him over to her Instagram. After consulting with me, he had booked her for a Christmas family photoshoot on December nineteenth.

My brothers and Sammi had came in at one point, too. Adam and the twins had swung by, Aria and Evie joining the kids as they giggled and talked. Benjimen came in with Daniel and Frank, the three of them carrying little plush toys for the new babies- a white bunny for Baby Mattie, a grey elephant for Baby Teddy and a cream lamb for Baby Jojo. Caleb and Julie came in, her tummy beginning to grow round with child. While Julie and I both discussed baby names, Caleb and Peter both talked tips and tricks for babyproofing the house. Ephriam and Evan came in, my brother-in-law cradling a fussing little lady, their adopted daughter from my brother-in-law’s sister.

When Sammi popped by for a visit, she was wearing tight skinny jeans and a thin V-neck T-shirt with a plunging neckline. To my amusement, Peter kept his eyes on her face while Baby Noah toddled up to where the kids had congregated, being warmly welcomed into their group.

“Hey, can you guys take in Baby Noah for a few hours next week?” she asked us causally. “I fear his father finding out about my little baby boy and raising all levels of hell.”

“Who is Baby Noah’s father?” I asked as I was pumping more milk. At this point, Evans had told us to keep the cooler that he had brought with him, filled with yummy goodies, to keep the milk bags cooled.

“He’s a politician,” she shrugged, sighing at my look. “Governor Paul Thomas Grantsville.”

“Sammi!” I squawked, utterly appalled.

“I know, it’s no excuse sleeping with a married man, but I needed to pay the bills somehow!” my baby sister protested. “Besides, he quickly lost steamed after the first round.”

“Sammi, how do you know that Baby Noah is his son?” I asked her, arching an eyebrow upwards.

“Because he shot his load into me,” she confessed in a sheepish tone of voice. “He gave me six grands in cash upfront for bareback.”

I could only stare at her as the kids happily occupied themselves by drawing pictures for my hospital room.

“He’d been sleeping around since his wife was rendered sterile due to cancer treatment,” she continued to gossip. “He already had five daughters, but really wanted a son, so-”

“So, you had sex with him?” I was doing my best not to judge my slutty baby sister, but she was honestly making it quite challenging. “Aye aye aye…”
